  1. Good morning. Everyone, welcome to this

  2. episode of Sunday Live. We are your host and we are very

  3. grateful that you are here with us today.

  4. Yes, and the title for today's topic is Jesus.

  5. Revealing the Trinity to some of you may not be familiar with

  6. that term. The word Trinity means Godhead

  7. as one God in three persons. So that's namely the Father, the

  8. the Son and Holy Spirit. So some would say that this

  9. topic is, yeah, somewhat hard to understand to a degree.

  10. But yeah, you know what? That's OK, because that's what

  11. that's what we're here for. We're in this together, all

  12. right? Yes, yes, yes.

  13. Although we will not be spoon feeding you, but rather we're

  14. going to let the word of God speak itself to us.

  15. Yes, absolutely. So as we've said before, and I'm

  16. gonna say it again, let's allow scripture interpret itself

  17. today. So while we ready ourselves to

  18. do that, why don't you ready also your notes as well?

  19. Because I'm about to give you a list of Bible verses that we're

  20. going to read together. So if you're ready, it's

  21. Deuteronomy chapter 6, verse four, Genesis chapter one, verse

    Deuteronomy 6 chapter mention

  22. 26. First Thessalonians chapter 5,

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

  23. verse 23. Matthew chapter 3 from verse 16

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  24. to 17. Second Peter chapter one verses

  25. 16 to 18 John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17.

    John 3:16

  26. John chapter 5 from verse 17 to 30 John chapter 15 verses 26 to

John 5 chapter mention John 15:26–27

  27. 27. Matthew chapter 26 verse 39 John

Matthew 26:39 John 17 chapter mention

  28. chapter 17 from verse 1 to 9 Hebrews chapter one verses one

  29. to three and finally Hebrews chapter one verses 8 to 10.

  30. Wow, that is definitely a long list of verses right there.

  31. But don't worry, because you can see on the description or show

  32. notes below that there is a PDF that will serve as your guide if

  33. you don't have a Bible with you, but also for your convenience of

  34. course. Bible hyperlinks are also

  35. available, yes. So why don't you tap those?

  36. It will take you to the Bible app directly.

  37. But before we begin though, let's not forget that our hearts

  38. should also be ready to receive today's words.

  39. So yes, wherever you are, that's all be in the attitude of prayer

  40. right now. So Father, we thank you for this

  41. time, that as we dive into your word today, may you help us not

  42. only understand scriptures more, but that may you reveal your

  43. character through a revelation today.

  44. Lord, Lord, so Lord, we thank you and we glorify you.

  45. All this we ask in Jesus name we pray.

  46. Amen. Amen.

  47. Wow. So why don't you start with our

  48. very first passage for you, John?

  49. OK, so Deuteronomy 6/4 here, O Israel, the Lord our God the

  50. Lord is 1. And for our second passage we

  51. have from Genesis chapter one, verse 26.

  52. Then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our

  53. likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the

  54. birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild

  55. animals and over all the creatures that move along the

  56. ground. Yes.

  57. So next first Thessalonians chapter 5, verse 23.

    1 Thessalonians 5:23

  58. May God, Himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and

  59. through. May your whole spirit, soul and

  60. body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  61. Wow. Next passage we have from

  62. Matthew chapter 3 starting from verse 16.

    Matthew 3 chapter mention

  63. Yes, as soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the

  64. water at that moment. Heaven was opened and he saw the

  65. Spirit of God descending like a dove and a lighting on him.

  66. Verse 17 And a voice from heaven said, this is my son whom I love

  67. with him. I am well pleased.

  68. Alright, so second Peter, chapter one starting in verse

  69. 16. For we did not follow cleverly

  70. devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord

  71. Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of His

  72. Majesty. So he received honor and glory

  73. from God the Father. When the voice came to him from

  74. the majestic glory, saying, This is my Son whom I love with him,

  75. I am well pleased. We ourselves heard this voice

  76. that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred

  77. mountain. Wow.

  78. Another passage we have also is from John chapter 3, starting

    John 3 chapter mention

  79. from verse 16. It says there for God so loved

  80. the world, that he gave his only his one and only Son, that

  81. whoever believes in him shall not perish, but have eternal

  82. life. And verse 17.

  83. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the

  84. world, but to save the world through him.

  85. All right, Next up is John chapter 5 starting in verse 17.

    John 5 chapter mention

  86. In his defense, Jesus said to them, my father is always at his

  87. work to this very day and I too am working.

  88. For this reason they tried all the more to kill him.

  89. Not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling

  90. God his Father, making himself equal with God.

  91. So Jesus gave them this answer very truly.

  92. I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself.

  93. He can do only what he sees his Father doing.

  94. Because whatever the Father does, the Son also does.

  95. For the Father loves the Son and shows him all He does.

  96. Yes, and He will show him even greater works than these, so

  97. that you will be amazed. For just as the Father raises

  98. the dead and gives them life, Even so the Son gives life to

  99. whom he is pleased to give it. Moreover, the Father judges no

  100. one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all

  101. may honor the Son as they honor the Father.

  102. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who

  103. who sent him. So very truly I tell you,

  104. whoever hears my word and believes him who sent Me has

  105. eternal life and will not be judged, but has crossed over

  106. from death to life. So very truly I tell you, a time

  107. is coming and has now come, when the dead will hear the voice of

  108. the Son of God. And those who will hear, those

  109. who hear will live. For as the Father has life in

  110. himself, so he has granted the Son also to have life in

  111. himself, and he has given him authority to judge because he is

  112. the Son of Man. Do not be amazed at this for a

  113. time is coming where all who are in their graves will hear his

  114. voice and come out. Those who have done what is

  115. good, what is good, will rise to live, and those who have done

  116. what is evil will rise to be condemned.

  117. But by myself I can do nothing. I judge only as I hear, and my

  118. judgment is just, for I seek not to please myself, but him who

  119. sent me. Wow, that's a very long time

  120. situation, yeah, Jesus said. That.

  121. Yeah, it's Jesus word, but it's very powerful and we're going to

  122. get to that later, yeah. We'll discuss that later.

  123. Don't. I hope you're not overwhelmed

  124. yet. Yeah, please pay attention.

  125. Please stay with us now we're going to our next passage, which

  126. is from John chapter 15, starting with verse 26, when the

    John 15 chapter mention

  127. Advocate comes whom I will send to you from the Father, the

  128. Spirit of Truth, who goes out from the Father, he will testify

  129. about me. And you also must testify, for

  130. you have been with me from the beginning.

  131. So Next up is Matthew 26, starting in verse 39, going a

  132. little farther, he felt with his face to the ground, and create

  133. my father, if it's possible. May this cop be taken from me

  134. yet, not as I will, but as you will.

  135. Alright, now for the next passage which is you can found

  136. from chapter from from the book of John, chapter 17 starting

    John 17 chapter mention

  137. with verse one. After Jesus said this, he looked

  138. toward heaven and prayed. Father, the horrors come.

  139. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you.

  140. For you granted him authority over all the people, that he

  141. might give eternal life to all those you have given him.

  142. Now this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true

  143. God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.

  144. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you

  145. gave me to do. And now, Father.

  146. Glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before

  147. the world began. I have revealed you to those

  148. whom you gave me out of the world.

  149. They were yours. You gave them to me, and they

  150. have obeyed your word. Now they know that everything

  151. you have given me comes from you.

  152. For I gave them the words you have you gave me, and they

  153. accepted them. They knew with certainty that I

  154. came from you, and they believe that you sent me.

  155. I pray for them. I am not praying for the world,

  156. but for those you have given me, for they are yours.

  157. All right. Next is Hebrews chapter one

  158. starting first one. In the past God spoke to our

  159. ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various

  160. ways, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son,

  161. whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he

  162. made the universe. The sun is the radiance of God's

  163. glory, and the exact representation of his being,

  164. sustaining all things by his powerful word.

  165. So after he had provided purification, for since he sat

  166. down at the right hand of the majesty in heaven.

  167. Now skipping to verses 8 to 10, but about the sun, he says.

  168. Your throne, oh God, will last forever and ever.

  169. A scepter of justice will be the scepter of your Kingdom.

  170. You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.

  171. Therefore God, even your God, has set you above your

  172. companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.

  173. He also says in the beginning, Lord, you lay the foundations of

  174. the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands.

  175. So wow. There you go.

  176. I think I'm finished with the verses.

  177. Yes, that's all of the verses for this episode.

  178. So thank you for reading along with us.

  179. See you next week. No, no, we're not done yet, so.

  180. Yeah, but as always, he would recommend for you to, you know,

  181. reread, read it again and again and again until you get

  182. something out of it. Because why not, right?

  183. Yeah, Yeah. So also that way you can get

  184. most of what you've just read. And this is also a healthy way

  185. of treating scripture. But if you're up for it and

  186. you're ready, we can now proceed to discuss what does this

  187. passage teach us about It's learning time.

  188. Here we go. So as the title already

  189. suggests, all of the verses talk about the Trinity.

  190. And this is because in order, you know, for us to discover

  191. Christ, we should get to know more about him.

  192. And you know him being related to God is just, you know, just

  193. one of how we can get to know Him more.

  194. Let's put it that way, yes. Yes, as you can already tell by

  195. now, we are currently in the Discovering Christ series, and

  196. our last series was called Discovering God.

  197. So if you're just just letting you know if you're following us.

  198. Just because you are in discovering Christ doesn't make

  199. Jesus not being part of God. If anything, the verses that

  200. we've read just now and the previous episodes we already did

  201. proves that he is God after all, Yes, he is God and that's

  202. already a learning and it's a very good one if you didn't

  203. realize. So that is one of the very

  204. characteristics of God, Him being God, yes.

  205. Yeah. Jesus being God, yes.

  206. So, which is why it's essential to talk about what we've learned

  207. so far in the verses we've just read.

  208. There's a lot of them, and we're gonna do that right now.

  209. So I want to start off with the fact that we just read one of

  210. the most well known and popular verses of the Bible.

  211. And do you know what that is? I think you have already a clue

  212. guys. It's from John chapter 3, verse

    John 3:16

  213. 16. Yes, that's the one in that

  214. verse. It says that God loves the

  215. world. That's you and me that he gave

  216. his Son, so his only son. We we can take note that the the

  217. word Son was mentioned. So it just makes sense that God

  218. is a Father. Right, True.

  219. True, true. And he is a very loving one.

  220. Yeah, he is. So God is well pleased with his

  221. begotten his only son. Yes, we've read that when Jesus

  222. was baptized and then a glorious scene took place, and then an

  223. audible voice from heaven was heard saying, this is my son

  224. whom I love with him I. Am well pleased.

  225. Well pleased. Yes that's there was even a a a

  226. witness account to this you know as we've read in second Peter

  227. chapter one. But you know we have also read

  228. in John something there were there were some people namely

  229. the Jews. Yeah they didn't take Jesus

  230. seriously. As a matter of fact, they wanted

  231. to to kill him because they thought it was blasphemy that

  232. Jesus was making himself equal with God because he was even

  233. calling. It was a very huge issue that he

  234. was even calling God his own father.

  235. Yeah, when they heard that, they were very triggered.

  236. Yes, what, despite all that Jesus have done.

  237. They had no idea that he is Co equal with God.

  238. Yes, he is Co equal with God. But I do like what Jesus said in

  239. the John 5 passage and is alone. Oh yeah, John, Chapter 5.

    John 5 chapter mention

  240. Powerful phrases from Christ himself.

  241. You can read it again later if you want, but overall it shows

  242. how tight his relationship with God the Father is.

  243. Oh, super tight. So like you can say it's.

  244. Admirable kind of relationship. Yeah, so.

  245. Super intimate. If you read the passage again,

  246. it's like like father, like son, basically.

  247. But it's not in the Godhead. It's not just the Father and the

  248. Son that are working together, as we can read in John John 15,

  249. but it's also the Advocate, so it the Holy Spirit.

  250. Yes and yeah. And he comes into play by being

  251. a witness, by testifying about Jesus to a person.

  252. Amen. Amen.

  253. So we can we. You can read that again if you

  254. want. But maybe my wife Karina wants

  255. to say something. Yes, and actually in in John

    John 17 chapter mention

  256. chapter 17 we can learn a lot of highlights.

  257. So one is this highlights that it highlights the significance

  258. of a personal relationship with God through Jesus as the means

  259. to eternal life. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.

  260. So it mentioned there we remember we already talked about

  261. eternal life. So this is where it comes to

  262. play. You cannot get eternal life

  263. without believing in God. Be Jesus.

  264. Yes, in what Jesus has done. Yes, and you cannot be.

  265. You cannot inherit eternal life without those prerequisites.

  266. So take note of that. We're going to link a link

  267. somewhere above us if you're watching on YouTube on our

  268. eternal life episode. Also in John 17, you can take

  269. note that Jesus prayed for his disciples.

  270. So it's I think it's highlighting the importance of

  271. prayer and you can probably imagine how important that is

  272. because the the Savior himself came into human beings to human

  273. form. And then I think he's setting an

  274. example. Yes, prayer that's true.

  275. That's true. I think that's what I'm I'm

  276. trying to point out prayer. Yeah, prayer is important.

  277. It is. Now I think also I also want to

  278. add on. That I think this is from John

    John 17 chapter mention

  279. chapter 17, that he just glorified God through obedience

  280. to finishing the work. Yeah, the work.

  281. Through the time that, I mean, it's about his death and his

  282. resurrection, yes, so. So obedience.

  283. Yeah, he was very obedient. You can we can all all read that

  284. recently that we if take this cup away from me.

  285. But yeah, if it's but not as I will but yours.

  286. It's still the Lord's will that that he wants to be followed.

  287. He still has this willingness despite how severe he knows he

  288. he he must have known that it's very severe that he's going to

  289. go through, but despite all that, that you will be done.

  290. That's basically what he's saying.

  291. Surrender and obedience? Yes, never surrendered to his

  292. work. That's His death and ultimately

  293. his resurrection afterwards. So that's very good.

  294. In Hebrews chapter one, it's revealed that Jesus coexisted

  295. with God the Father since the beginning.

  296. So you remember, in creation, Jesus was there.

  297. And you think we've already. Yeah.

  298. Talk about that in many episodes before.

  299. Yes. Jesus already existed.

  300. I think it's an episode where Kuya Vidal was one of the.

  301. Host Yes, I can remember that we mentioned John Chapter One.

  302. In the beginning, there was a Word.

  303. The Word was a God and the Word was God.

  304. That's right. That's right.

  305. And you can also click that on the top if you're watching

  306. YouTube. And one of my learnings is that

  307. he is also collective one. And let me explain that

  308. collective one. You know, Hero Israel, the Lord

  309. our God is 1 if you know your Hebrew.

  310. I didn't study Hebrew, but I know some, I know some very

  311. basic words. This was originally written in

  312. Hebrew. And the word for one, there it

  313. was. It's it.

  314. The meaning of that word is collective 1, so that the word

  315. is a God. That's how they pronounce it.

  316. It's like a collection of How do you, how do you explain that?

  317. Like, all right, let me give you an example of that.

  318. Collective one. Collective one.

  319. Husband and wife like me and her.

  320. So we're two separate beings. But we are.

  321. Since we're married, we should function as one.

  322. We're united as one. Yeah.

  323. So we're Mr. and Mrs. Valdez. That's that's two individuals,

  324. right? But one, Yes.

  325. So kind of like that. I know.

  326. It's a very mysterious thing. Very maybe complex.

  327. Very complex. It has its own complexity.

  328. But you know what? We would like to encourage you

  329. to not let this hinder you from receiving the truth of His word.

  330. Yes. Instead, may this bless you and

  331. encourage you to get to know more of God's nature.

  332. Because we do believe that God interrupts with human beings

  333. like you and I, and we can fully appreciate the truth by reading

  334. and studying His Word. Absolutely, absolutely.

  335. So you know, because while we can all try and learn to the

  336. absolute limits of our human capacity.

  337. We still cannot fully understand God because after all, we're

  338. just people. And you know, he's God.

  339. Yeah, but maybe we'd like to end the discussion part with this.

  340. So he is God and we are not. Simple, right?

  341. He is God and we are not. We may not be able to know

  342. everything, but we can still know God for who he is.

  343. He is a loving father who loves you and I so much that.

  344. He would give his only Son Jesus Christ, who is by the way, he's

  345. also God. Yes, he and and Jesus.

  346. You know he sent Jesus to die for the sins of the world and

  347. rise up from the dead, thus proving that he is God after

  348. all. And when he ascended, the Holy

  349. Spirit is revealing the truth of who Jesus is.

  350. And now, because we now believe. We are expected to share these

  351. truths with others through the help of this advocate.

  352. And you know, you know who that is.

  353. It's the Holy Spirit. Amen.

  354. All right, So did you learn something new?

  355. We Were you reminded of something with the verses?

  356. Is this the first time you've encountered a Hebrew world like

  357. I could? I cannot even mention that.

  358. Either way, please let us know in the comments.

  359. Whatever it is, whatever that you've learned, we really want

  360. to hear. You really want to read your

  361. your comment, your lessons, and, you know, just interact with us.

  362. Yeah, what's on your heart? Let us know.

  363. Yeah, or in the comments or on the prompt below 5 them guys.

  364. Yeah. And would like to hear from you.

  365. And we're sure that we're not the only ones who wants to hear

  366. from you, but the others who are streaming this to.

  367. That's right. And if you can summarize UH-1

  368. sentence for your learning, I think that would be very very

  369. nice. You would really appreciate.

  370. That yes, it's more so. Make it simple, yeah?

  371. And now for the part where we all internalize for a bit, uh,

  372. and think about how we can all apply well what we've learned

  373. today. So the question is, if God is

  374. speaking to you, to the scriptures we just read, how

  375. would you respond to him? Why don't you write down your

  376. answers below? Or on your notes.

  377. So don't be shy because we are going to share ours too right

  378. now. Isn't that right, love?

  379. That's right. That's right.

  380. Still thinking about my I will though.

  381. OK, so I would like to start it. OK, go on my I will would be.

  382. I will not make I I mean I will make it my goal to not entertain

  383. sin in my life. Because I know, although I know

  384. I'm not perfect, but I have to remember that we have to be

  385. blameless by loving righteousness and hating any

  386. form of wickedness in my life. I know, I know it would.

  387. It really sounds easy to say. It really sounds, you know, very

  388. easy to declare and and and vow to.

  389. Easier said than done, yes. But it's so hard it's it would

  390. be. I know it would be so hard to do

  391. it, but that's the challenge. As it would.

  392. I know it's worth it. It's definitely worth it if we

  393. do the right thing. And guess who also hates

  394. wickedness and loves righteousness?

  395. That's Jesus. Yes, that's God.

  396. So, OK, it's my turn, right? Yes.

  397. All right, so that's good. So resisting sin.

  398. I like it. So knowing how my I will is
