I have a very simple message for you, but first I have to do
-
something. It's kind of like Superman.
-
You ever seen Superman? I'm not Superman, but I have.
-
I have a message for you. I have a message for you and it
-
actually fits exactly what you're hearing this morning.
-
This is what God says for you today.
-
You are made for more. You are made for more.
-
Say it with me. I am made for more.
-
Say it. I am paid for for what an
-
opportunity. I'm going to read a few
-
scriptures and then we're going to I'm just going to share my
-
heart, share a little my own testimony about life.
-
And you know, when, when these when the herbs and and when the
-
Millers and all all these missionaries were in Bible
-
school. I looked out there and I
-
thought, no way. I'm thinking, I don't know if
-
they're going to graduate. What are we going to do with
-
these people? And the Lord simply said, I made
-
them for more. And look at them now, 23 years
-
later. I look at the thousands of souls
-
that they've had the opportunity to share and lead to Jesus and
-
all the all the teaching and all the creativity and all the
-
wisdom that God has poured into into your leaders here.
-
Get all you can from them, receive everything you can from
-
them because they started with this much with little and now
-
look at what they have. They have this.
-
Nothing is impossible with God if you'll just let him work with
-
you. It's a it's a powerful thing.
-
It's an honoring thing. So I honor your leaders in this
-
place today and I honor you for how you've honored them this
-
morning. So just keep this in mind.
-
You were made for more, OK, And I want to read you a couple of
-
scriptures. In Ephesians chapter 1 and verse
Ephesians 1 chapter mention
-
17, it says, I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus
-
Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the spirit of wisdom
-
and revelation so that you may know Him better.
-
Pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that
-
you may know God wants you to know something that you may know
-
the hope to which he has called you.
-
God has called you. He's called everyone of you.
-
No one is left out. He has called you.
-
Verse 19 and His incomparable great power for us who believe.
-
Do you believe any believers in here?
-
Yes, we believe that power is the same as the mighty strength
-
he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at
-
his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all authority
-
and rule. And he goes on.
-
And then in verse chapter 2 and verse when it says you were
-
dead, you were dead and in your sins, but now you're alive.
-
You're alive unto God in verse 8 and chapter 2.
-
For it is by grace that you have been saved through faith, and it
-
is not of yourselves, for it is a gift from God.
-
You have received a great supernatural gift from God,
-
everyone of you, not by works that no one can boast for.
-
We are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works
-
which He prepared in advance for us to do.
-
God created you within, within His mind.
-
He has a plan and a purpose for you, and He's going to help you
-
fulfill that plan and your purpose.
-
You don't have to do it by yourself.
-
He says I created you by His work by His hand.
-
He says I have something for you to do in advance before you were
-
ever born. He has already written out your
-
life. He's written out the plan from
-
beginning to end, and he's inserted your name.
-
All you have to do is get into it, get into that place to where
-
God will use you. And I know you're being
-
prepared. I know this.
-
When the apostle Paul was saying this, he was saying you were
-
made for more. The moment you were forgiven,
-
the moment you were born again, you were made for more.
-
You had a brand new life in God, a brand new life in God.
-
I've experienced that brand new life in God and I've seen
-
hundreds of thousands of people around the world receive that
-
new life, that born again experience with the power of God
-
in their life to make them more than they thought they would
-
ever get to be. And sometimes we feel how many
-
of you feel I felt growing up. I felt just ordinary.
-
I'm just plain vanilla, just ordinary.
-
I'm OK, but I don't know that I'll ever be anything more than
-
who I am now. Do you ever feel that way?
-
Raise your hands. Do you ever feel that way?
-
I mean, I have felt that way. I'm just ordinary.
-
But The thing is, The thing is this.
-
God has taken ordinary people and he has caused them to do
-
extraordinary works for him. Extraordinary works.
-
Extra point, because they believed God, They believed in
-
him. They believed that God would
-
work through them to get something done bigger than they
-
are. I enjoy being a part of
-
something larger than myself because if it's just me, it's
-
not enough. So they believed that God made
-
them for a purpose and for a mission.
-
I mean, God used ordinary men. He used guys like Moses.
-
He used guys like the apostle Paul.
-
Well, he was the apostle early on, Peter, James and John, just
-
a bunch of fishermen they had, they weren't even educated and
-
they were just ordinary. But God took ordinary men and he
-
created them to be extraordinary and they became the, the, the
-
Super Saints of the Bible. They had no clue what they were
-
all they were in for. They had no idea what God had in
-
store for them. I had no idea when I was born
-
again, baptized in the Holy Spirit, what God had in store
-
for me had no idea. Now, that's been a long time
-
ago. That's more than 23 years.
-
It's more like 43 years. Yeah.
-
I was born again in 1953 years. Sorry, Toby is correcting me.
-
I was born again in 1973. That makes me this coming
-
August, 77 years old. That's older than you, but I
-
have lived with God. I've run with God, I've served
-
God, I've enjoyed God. I've had my ups and I've had my
-
downs, but I've seen the power of God in most every nation of
-
the world. And I started with nothing.
-
When I was a young, young man in high school, I, I didn't think I
-
would ever graduate high school. Did you ever think that?
-
Do you ever think, how am I going to get through high
-
school? I'm never going to make it.
-
And in high school I actually had my high school teacher, she
-
said, well, we're you will not graduate because I'm not going
-
to pass you in my English class. Well, thank you very much.
-
So I quit, I quit high school in my senior year and I went to
-
work and for ten months I went to work and had a job.
-
And then I received a letter from the United States Armed
-
Forces and said welcome to the United States military.
-
No, OK, I, I wasn't stupid. So I went back to high school
-
and that changed my, my, my draft status.
-
And so I graduated from high school.
-
Thank, thank God, thank you, Jesus, you know, thank you,
-
Jesus. I graduated, but I never think,
-
I never thought I could be more. I thought I was just going to.
-
I couldn't believe these kinds of things about myself until one
-
night when I was literally dying of an overdose of drugs at 23
-
years old. I was dying on the floor.
-
I had raced up into heaven. This demon came out of darkness
-
to take me. He was wrapping me in this
-
chain. And I began to call out, Oh, God
-
help me. Three times I screamed, God help
-
me. And all of a sudden all the
-
darkness went away and this brilliant white light came over
-
round me. And I'm at my friend's home and
-
there's, there's a picture up on, on their wall of Jesus.
-
You know, it's kind of like with, with the scars in his
-
hands and, and he's looking like I'm welcoming you.
-
What's the idea? I'm sitting there and suddenly
-
this light shines and I open my eyes and listen.
-
There was a big party going on in the house.
-
Lots of people in the house. I don't know what they were
-
doing. I just know what was happening
-
to me. And I, I opened my eyes and my
-
eyes went into the eyes of that picture.
-
And I heard the voice of God say to me, he said, Son, if you will
-
just follow after me, I will make something out of your life.
-
And I said yes, I had. There was no other choice.
-
I said yes, I didn't know. I did not know what I was saying
-
yes to. I had no clue of what it meant
-
to be born again, but I was told all my life, you'll never amount
-
to nothing. You'll never be anybody, you'll
-
never go anywhere, you'll never do anything.
-
You're always going to be poor. You're just a stupid young kid.
-
Did you ever hear that? No, you don't have.
-
Don't raise your hand. I know, but a whole lot of us
-
had that. But I believe those lies.
-
Those were ungodly beliefs. And I believe those lives until
-
I found out who I was in Christ. And once I found out who I was
-
in Christ, let me tell you who I am.
-
Let me tell you who you are in Christ.
-
Can I tell you here? Here's who I am in Christ,
-
Here's who you are. I am loved by Christ.
-
I am forgiven of all my sin. I am free from all condemnation.
-
I can forget the past. I'm a new creature.
-
I'm redeemed from the curse of the law.
-
I'm accepted by Christ. I am reconciled to God.
-
I am beloved of God. I am called of God.
-
I'm brought near by the blood of Jesus.
-
I am complete in Christ. I'm dead in sin, but I'm alive
-
to God. I'm a king and a priest to God.
-
I'm I'm loved with an everlasting love and I'm an heir
-
of God with the joint heir with Jesus.
-
You know, I asked the Lord, I said what?
-
What is my name? He said you call me to be more
-
and he said look up. What is your name?
-
My, my, my given name is William.
-
And it means strong willed warrior, OK.
-
It means conqueror, protector, defender of the faith.
-
That's been my life from the day I was born again, from the
-
moment I met Jesus and I discovered that he was real and
-
that I was. All of these things on this
-
paper, they're all Scripture. They're all scripture.
-
Here's who I am. I am more than a conqueror.
-
I am healed by the wounds of Jesus.
-
I am kept by the power of God. I'm sealed with the promise of
-
the Holy Spirit. I have everlasting life.
-
I am crucified with Christ. I am a partaker of the divine
-
nature. I've been blessed with every
-
spiritual blessing. So have you.
-
I have peace with God. I can do all things through
-
Christ who strengthens me. I shall do even greater works
-
than Christ. I am chosen.
-
I have overcome the world. I have a guaranteed inheritance
-
through Jesus. I always triumph in Christ and
-
in Jesus. I'm in Jesus hands and Christ is
-
in me. The hope of glory.
-
That's who I am. When the devil tells me I'm
-
nothing, I have nothing to give. He'll never take you anywhere.
-
You read this list to him, you get the word and you say this is
-
who I am. Devil out, get out of my face.
-
I don't, I don't believe you anymore.
-
I don't believe those ungodly beliefs.
-
I believe this scripture. I believe what this is.
-
And once I began to believe that, I had to renew my mind
-
through the reading of this word and I would just eat this word
-
day and night. I just eat it.
-
I get filled up on it. I fill up my spirit and I fill
-
up my mind. I fill up my thinking and it
-
changed my mind about who I am and who I was.
-
And that's important for us when we decide that you were made for
-
more, it's important that we do that.
-
So, you know, God's called you, He's prepared you, and he has a
-
plan for you and he's on the way with that plan.
-
Put it into your life. If you'll just say yes, do you
-
have a yes in you? Listen that yes, as you're made
-
for more, how many of you want more?
-
I want, I want more out of life. I want more of God.
-
I want more of everything. I just want more.
-
So I learned how to replace these ungodly beliefs with the
-
Scripture in the Word of God. Why?
-
Because I simply believed. Was it hard?
-
Sometimes. But was it worth it?
-
Yes. Yes, yes, yes.
-
The moment I was born again and baptized in the whole.
-
How many of you been born again? Let me see here.
-
You've been born again. You love Jesus.
-
How many of you been baptized in the Holy Spirit?
-
Let me see here. Oh, you're a crap.
-
You're a good crap. I like you.
-
Once I believed that God had made me for more.
-
Not only did I graduate high school that I went on to a
-
Community College, I got a degree in fire science.
-
I went to Bible college for five years.
-
I became a missionary in Malaysia for three years, a
-
missionary in Indonesia for the three years, five years teaching
-
at Liberty Bible College in Florida.
-
I was the assistant director for seven years as the Globe
-
Missionary Evangelism. I've spent five years at BRSM at
-
the big revival, teaching at the school there and help help
-
create the missions department for that revival.
-
And then now I've been 26 years this year overseeing Fire
-
International in all these missionaries that we have in in
-
50 nations. Don't tell me God hasn't made
-
you for more. I mean, but am I bragging?
-
Yeah, I'm bragging on Jesus because I you don't.
-
When you say yes, get ready. All I can say is get ready.
-
Just get ready. Because the only way you will
-
ever fail is if you quit. If you simply say no, I can't, I
-
can't get rid of that word. The only way you're going to
-
fail is if you quit. You need to continue to have a
-
big dream, big vision. You know, in Joel 2/28 it says,
-
and afterward I will pour out my spirit on all people.
-
Your sons and your daughters will prophecy your old mental
-
dream dreams. Listen, I'm an old man, but I
-
don't dream. I have visions.
-
So I'm still young. I'm still young.
-
Your young men will see visions even on your servants, both men
-
and women. I will pour out my spirit in
-
those days. God is calling for you to be
-
more and have an expectation of what He wants to do with you
-
than you will ever dream. All I'm saying is God is calling
-
is God calling you to some of you to the mission field.
-
You know, to us this is a mission field.
-
But man, look at the look at the look at the workers he's got
-
here. Oh, you got quiet.
-
All the Middle East is calling. Do you know that, that, that the
-
Philippines is the 4th largest mission sending nation in the
-
world, 4th to the US, Brazil and one more South Korea, South
-
Korea, you're #4 you're and you're in the big 5.
-
But do you understand what God is calling some of you maybe to
-
go out and minister in other nations?
-
You say, how am I going to do that?
-
Ask him. Just ask him.
-
I mean, you have to ask. I mean, if you don't ask, you
-
never will. You know, he, if you haven't,
-
you have not because you ask. No.
-
Well, ask big ask, ask is God calling you to reach the Hindus,
-
Buddhists, Muslims, God calling you to reach all of all of the
-
Philippines, You know your neighbor Indonesia, it needs
-
Jesus. I will you know, and and you got
-
you guys are some of the best. I'm I'm serious.
-
If I wanted to go to some nation and start a church, I want 100
-
maybe 500 of you to come with me.
-
Why? Because you have a smile,
-
everyone smile. You have smiles that draw people
-
in everywhere we've been this week, even walking, just walking
-
down the street. Oh, good morning, good morning,
-
whatever, whatever. And they're just smiling.
-
They're beaming. And I'm thinking, wow, I want
-
more of you. I'll, I'll take I'll take all I
-
can get and let's go somewhere. But I'm going to leave some of
-
you here because Casey said no, I will.
-
We'll leave you a few. We'll just leave you a few, but
-
the question you need to ask yourself, am I willing?
-
Am I willing to lay down my life for the gospel?
-
Hey, you sang some very dangerous songs here this
-
morning. I mean, those are seriously
-
dangerous songs. I'm serious.
-
Because when you say take me. All those words you just sang
-
this morning, were, were you lying?
-
Were you lying? I don't think so.
-
You because you worship with such passion, with all of your
-
heart, you worship. I'm, I like being in here.
-
Why? Because it's the presence of
-
God. When we worship like that, I'm
-
overwhelmed in a good way with the presence of the Lord in the
-
room this morning. And I'll be honest with you,
-
because I, I asked God, I want to see things.
-
I want to be a visioner. I want to see in the heavens.
-
I want to see what God is doing. And this morning as we're
-
worshiping, when we were in some of those high places, I mean,
-
from start to finish, you never stopped.
-
There was no pause. There was no break.
-
It was just on and on and on. And Jesus was just up there.
-
I mean, Jesus, I saw him dancing around his throne.
-
And I mean, he's looking down here and he was looking at this
-
little group and he's just, it's, it's, he's, he's in heaven
-
because of your worship. And I thought, boy, that's
-
sweet. That's that fragrance you were
-
thinking about. He was receiving that.
-
I mean, he's not just sitting there like some.
-
That's not Jesus. He's happy.
-
Hey, he's happy and he's happy because of you.
-
Come on, come on, come on. You know the Lord's still
-
asking. You know, You ask Jeremiah who
-
will go for us. Ha, ha, ha.
-
You laugh. Well, he says, all right, you're
-
up. Pack your bag.
-
Pack your bag. When I was graduating from
-
Bible, Bible College, after five years, I'd taken all the classes
-
that I could take because then I knew I had to do something.
-
I took every class because I knew I had to finish and do
-
something. And as I prayed over, over the
-
map of the world, like that one there on the back, as I prayed,
-
I knew I must go. I said, Lord, what do you want
-
me to do? Do you want me to be a pastor?
-
You want me to not a youth leader, not the worship leader.
-
I can, I can, I can be a missionary.
-
I could, I'd be a pastor maybe. And but as I was praying, I was
-
watching over S over Asia and there was a man who stepped out
-
of Malaysia and he looked at me and he said come over here and
-
help me. 30 days. I prayed and fasted 3 times.
-
This man stepped out of Malaysia and he said come over here and
-
help me and I went to my leaders and I said I saw this guy, what
-
should I do? And they said pack your bag.
-
Well I did. I packed my bags with my two
-
children and we moved to Malaysia and we were there for
-
three years. We started 2 Bible schools and
-
then from out of that we went into Indonesia and we started a
-
Bible school there with 18 students, 18 students.
-
That school grew to over 1000. The church, when Toby and I left
-
the church was between 14 and 15,000 people.
-
I'm telling you, you're made for more.
-
I never dreamed in my lifetime I would be in in in the baptismal
-
pool, which the baptismal pool was, was about half the size of
-
this room here. And we would water baptized
-
between 350 and 500 new converts every 30 days.
-
New converts. I never in my life dreamed that
-
I would be made for something like that.
-
I never believed that God could use me.
-
And all I did was just dip them and send them.
-
I just dip them and pray the Holy Ghost on.
-
Let me shake the devil out and send them all through.
-
And then God piled them up in piles over here until he got
-
through with them. What an amazing life I've had
-
with Jesus. I'm telling you, it's been
-
nothing like it. And then the then the
-
Brownsville revival. I've been a part of two great
-
revivals in my lifetime where, you know, million, 22 million, 3
-
million people came to 1 church and God was their present.
-
And there's something about the presence of God that draws
-
people to watch thousands of people be touched by the power
-
of God every day, day in and day out.
-
Watch him raise up missionaries. Watch him call people out of
-
that congregation because they felt like they were made for
-
more. And they stood up and they said,
-
yes, Lord, yes, Lord. I'm so honored to be a part of a
-
group that fell in love with Jesus enough to say I want more.
-
I was made for more, more, more for the hunger of the word of
-
God. What's God made you more for?
-
More for more powerful testimonies.
-
How many of you have a testimony?
-
You have a testimony. God wants to give you more
-
powerful testimonies. He wants to use you to lay hands
-
on the sick, to cast out devils. He wants to use you to raise the
-
spiritually dead and get people saved.
-
He wants to use you to be fathers, mothers, workers,
-
whoever you are, whatever your job is.
-
I when I when I met Jesus, I was, I was a firefighter.
-
I was a fireman. I was for 10 years.
-
I was a professional firefighter and I and I rode rescue truck
-
for seven years. That's where God found me.
-
I never dreamed that sitting in my fire station out in the
-
parking lot smoking Colombian pot with the police, I would
-
ever think that God would send me to another nation to do
-
something for him. But he did, and here I am, and
-
I'm still going. Why?
-
That's why. How old am I?
-
Old enough to know I'm made for more.
-
And until until I'm done, I'm not done.
-
I want to do more. I want to prophecy more.
-
I want to hear His voice more clearly more.
-
I want to manifest the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
-
And they're all available to all of you if you just look for
-
them. Look for the one who needs that
-
gift. They're not for you.
-
They're for someone else. They're for someone else to have
-
more joy. I want more joy.
-
I want more answers to my prayers.
-
I, I, I know that I'm asking and I know I'm not alone.
-
It works for me. Works for me.
-
Boy, time is not working for me. But that's OK.
-
We we're we're are you, are you OK with this?
-
Are you getting, are you getting some of this lookout?
-
Fire of God will burn you up. Fire of God will consume you in
-
ways you never dream, ever dream.
-
Oh my, my, my, my, my, my. I know it's God's desire for you
-
to have more. Because you have been.
-
You have been sprinkled with the word of God.
-
You've been sprinkled with the power of God.
-
You've been sprinkled with the prayers of the Saints and you've
-
been opera having opportunities to to study and be led by those
-
who who know the power and the fire of the Holy Spirit.
-
I look at I look at Eric. I remember he says, what do you
-
think God's calling me to do? What's he asking me to do?
-
And I'm thinking, I don't know. I but I don't tell him I said
-
that. But all I heard I I heard a
-
couple of where he said start small and I will expand the
-
call. And I look at him now.
-
He man's all over the world. He he makes I I get tired
-
looking at his itinerary. I don't know how you do it, but
-
wow. I just know that I oh Jesus, I'm
-
going to have to slow to a stop here.
-
Sad to say, I want to give you I I shared this with the school
-
the other day with the students. When it talks about realizing
-
your dreams and your vision, ask God what what is your dream?
-
Ask. Don't be afraid to ask God for
-
big things. You think because we think too
-
small, we think small. I remember one time early on in
-
the revival, we were taking a team of 20 something to
-
Guadalajara, Mexico. And I'm praying, Lord, what do
-
you want me to do with this team?
-
What do you want us to do? I'm praying over the map.
-
And, and he said, I said, what do you want us to do while we're
-
there? Because I don't know these
-
students. They're green, unproven,
-
untested. And he said, I don't know how he
-
talks to you. He just talks to me.
-
He said, well, what do you want to do?
-
I said, Oh no, you don't understand.
-
You're God, it's your Kingdom come.
-
You're I've been spiritual, your Kingdom come.
-
I said, what do you want to do? And he just said quietly, He
-
said like friend to friend. He said, well, what do you want
-
to do? And I thought, really, you're
-
asking me what you and I and here this is how my foolish
-
pride went in my mind. I'll just make it hard for him.
-
You're asking me what I want to do.
-
I'll make it hard for you, right?
-
I'll make it harder. So I said, OK, I start thinking.
-
I said, here's what I like. I would like, I'd like a theater
-
that will see 1000 people and I want to see 1000 people in that
-
building. I want to get the building and
-
it cost me nothing, zero, you know, nothing.
-
It's hard to get something for nothing these days, right?
-
And I said, I want to see. I want to see on the altar
-
called. I want the altar full of all the
-
Alcoholics, all the drug addicts, all the prostitutes.
-
I want to see everyone from the street.
-
I want to see the I want to see the stage packed with people.
-
Then I want to see the power of God take them all out and heal
-
them, deliver them and set them free from demons.
-
And it got quiet. OK, That was the answer.
-
OK, what do you do when you just get, OK, pack your bag, get on
-
the plane, know what you asked for and trust God.
-
We arrived there. We asked, I said to the
-
missionary. I said, oh, I want a theater.
-
What are we doing? I want a theater.
-
I want to see the 1000 people. I don't want to pay any money
-
for it. And, and so the next day they
-
said, oh, I know so much. The guy called and said, Oh yes,
-
I, I, I will let you have my theater for $300.00 for the
-
weekend. And I said, never mind, thank
-
you. That's not what God said, that's
-
not what I asked for, you know, and so that afternoon he called
-
back and he said, oh, you are you your, your group is a
-
religious group. You, you, you.
-
I, I said yes. And he said, OK, I want to give
-
you the theatre for zero. I, I said, now we're getting it.
-
OK, so we, we put the word out. The place filled up with 1000
-
people. We'd never been there before.
-
It filled up with 1000 people. And when we gave the altar call,
-
we preached, we gave the altar call.
-
The altar was full from one end to the other with Alcoholics,
-
drug addicts, prostitutes, St. people.
-
And when we asked the team to come pray for them, the power of
-
God hit them. Every single one of them, every
-
single one of them got healed. Every single one of them got
-
demons cast out of them and they came up full of the Holy Ghost.
-
Don't tell me you can't be made for more.
-
I'm telling you, don't let your dream or your vision be this
-
big. And I have dreamed, dreamed big
-
dreams for, for the last 40 years.
-
And I've seen some great stuff. I want you to have that.
-
God wants you to have that. I want to tell you 7, seven
-
things you never want to do #1 never allow the world, the
-
flesh, or the devil to shape your vision or your dream.
-
Never, only God #2 never allow smallness of vision to rule your
-
life. Dream big.
-
And sometimes that's hard for us to dream big when we've had so
-
little. At times when we come up with
-
nothing in our lives. I mean, we were a poor little
-
family. I was the oldest of five and we
-
never had a lot. And so it was hard for me to get
-
out of this poverty mentality. I had a hard time getting out of
-
that. But once I got out, sky was the
-
limit #3 Never allow those who have no faith to influence you.
-
I had people tell me and they said, what are you going to do?
-
I'm going to Malaysia to start Bible school.
-
Did you ever done that before? No, I said, oh, they said, Oh
-
well, OK. And so they tried to talk me out
-
of. They said, you know, that's a
-
Muslim nation. Do you know they don't like
-
Christians over there. Do you know?
-
Do you know, do you know? And I said, so I said God.
-
So God said this is what he said to do.
-
In fact, he said he said it so clearly.
-
He said, I want you to take all the notes from your last three
-
years of classes and put it in a suitcase.
-
And I said, what? That suitcase weighed 70 lbs of
-
paper. And I'm thinking I've got a wife
-
and two, two daughter myself. That's the suitcase I could put
-
good stuff in. And but here's the thing about
-
following God. When the Holy Spirit asks you
-
something, you have two choices. You obey or you disobey.
-
He's not going to kill you if you disobey.
-
It just means I think you'll be disappointed because you didn't
-
obey. I filled up that that suitcase
-
with 70 lbs of paper, moved to Malaysia and found that guy who
-
stepped off that map and he had already booked a week's worth of
-
meetings for us to share in the preach.
-
We did that for a week, sitting in the pastor's home at the
-
breakfast table, and he looked at me and he said, why are you
-
in Malaysia? I thought, why am I here?
-
And he said, I said, well, when the Lord spoke to me at school
-
and he said, start Bible schools with local churches.
-
And I've said, I've never done that.
-
So he opened the door to a, a, a bedroom and he and, and, and
-
from ceiling to floor, wall to wall and with these large
-
machines, video projectors, he, he said, can you make me a
-
school out of this? And I started reading off these
-
names, the Book of Revelation by Ken Summerall, Liberty Bible
-
College. I said what?
-
That's where I graduated. I had 70 lbs of notes for every
-
class on that wall. Don't tell me God can't do
-
something if you're willing. I was made for more and I was
-
discovering it as I went. Started 2 Bible schools there.
-
People were saying you can't do that.
-
So I don't listen to people who have no faith.
-
I deal with my faith. I'm not dealing with your faith
-
this morning. I'm dealing with my faith for
-
you #4 never allow discouragement to dominate your
-
faith in God fulfilling your vision or your dream.
-
Sometimes we get we, you know, sometimes God's in a hurry, but
-
sometimes God is slow and we get discouraged.
-
But don't, don't be discouraged. He's there.
-
You just stay close #5 never allow your circumstances to
-
limit your vision or your dream. Change your circumstances
-
through prayer and faith and look through the eyes of faith.
-
For anything is possible with God, so you have to change it
-
through faith. That's OK.
-
Circumstances will always feel like they're against you.
-
Not enough time, not enough money, not smart enough, not
-
enough people, not enough, not enough.
-
Well, I don't let my circumstances rule what I do.
-
We still do it. And then number six is similar.
-
Never, never allow finances or money to become a dictator to
-
your vision or dream. I mean, when I started out as
-
just said yes to the mission call, I had nothing, had no
-
money. All I had was go the guy jumping
-
off the map. And so I started saying God.
-
People are asking what's God asking you to do?
-
Go to Malaysia, be a missionary, start school, do this, do this.
-
And so we'd have coffee and cake and stuff and I would come out,
-
I'd come out of those, those little, little meetings, just
-
family meetings with thousands of dollars worth of money.
-
The first time out, $7000. I've never seen that kind of
-
money in my life. But God said go.
-
And if he's telling you to go, he will, He will finance it for
-
you. Will he not finance things for
-
you? Airfares.
-
Yeah. Whatever you need, Whatever you
-
need, just trust God and let him do it.
-
And then #7 Never allow failures to set your course in life.
-
Have we ever failed? Yeah.
-
Well, if we fall down, we shake the dust off and we say yes.
-
Lord, again, how? Where do you want me to go?
-
How do you want me to do it? Let's all stand up together.
-
All I want you to do. There's a song.
-
I want you to just stand there and listen.
-
If you want to shut your eyes, that's fine.
-
You don't want no singing. I just want you to listen to
-
these words and let them get into your spirit.
-
So just listen. This is for you.
-
I know who I am because I know who you are.
-
The cross of Salvation was only the star.
-
Now I'm chosen, free and forgiving.
-
I have a future and it's worth the living.
-
Thou wasn't made to me tending a grave.
-
I was called by name, born and raised back to life again.
-
I was made for one. I know who I am.
-
I know who we are. The cross of Salvation was only
-
star. Now I am chosen, free and
-
forgiven. I have the future.
-
It is worth living. I wasn't making thee timid
-
grave. I was called by.
-
Name. Born in raise that to I forgive.
-
I was made no more. What would I make made in my
-
shame when I found it on grapes. It's running my way out of wire.
-
I was made the Lord. You are late.
-
You called out my day. I'll see how your day you made
-
my ass. I'm not going back.
-
Was made to be tender grave. I was called by name.
-
Born and raised until I fucking. I was made for more.
-
Come on. Sing it over yourself.
-
So I would I then. My shame with Fountain of Grace
-
is running my way out of yours.
