  1. You're listening to a message to go from X church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. This is our ex church theme for this year.

  3. Right Heaven rules towards the finishing line. Okay, it's from the Book

  4. of Daniel, chapter four, verse twenty six. For the past few months

  5. and weeks we've been start we've been sharing this word because I really feel I

  6. think there was a joke about there was a joke about a message where a

  7. pastor has been speaking the same message almost like every week, and then one

  8. of the congregation will say, like, Pasta, you keep saying the same

  9. thing. Why because we have not really act on it. But I believe

  10. that we are acting on it at the same time. God wants to and

  11. force it. God wants to show us a different part of what He's trying

  12. to say to us today. Amen. Yes, so Daniel chapter four,

  13. verse twenty six. So this is the verse that our church is getting the

  14. theme from. Daniel, chapter four, verse twenty six. Let's read together,

  15. shall we can can see? Right? It's big enough. Okay,

  16. let's read together one to three and in as much as they gave the command

  17. to leave the stump and roots to the tree, your kingdom shall be assured

  18. to you after you come to know that Heaven rules. Right. So Heaven

  19. rules is the theme that that's where we get the team Heaven rules. Okay.

  20. So as I was preparing this message, God was showing me this part

  21. of the verse verse twenty six, the second part of it, but that

  22. your kingdom shall be assured to you. Now we know this story in Daniel

  23. chapter four, right, where King that Bunkenisa he had a dream and he

  24. didn't understand the dream. Daniel was his chief helper helped to interpret the dream

  25. right, and this was the end of the interpretation, a warning to King

  26. Nabuchanizer, saying that if you don't obey or you don't humble yourself right,

  27. something will happen to you. Right. You can read in Daniel chapter four,

  28. and this is this part of it wherein as much as they gave the

  29. command to leave the stamb and the roots of the tree, your kingdom,

  30. the kingdom of King Nebuchanizer, shall be assured to you. That means Daniel

  31. speaking to the King of Nabuchanizer. And after you come to know that Heaven

  32. rules, right. Okay, So let me break that down the second part,

  33. your kingdom shall be assured to you. Church. This is a very

  34. important point, right, your kingdom shall be assured to you. I really

  35. believe that God wants to restore, reveal, and establish his original and eternal,

  36. permanent purpose for our existence. Why we are here, the question of

  37. why am I here? God want to assure us. God wants to establish

  38. and restore that. If you have found yourself like I don't know why am

  39. I doing here on earth? So many things are happening to me. God

  40. is assuring us today. God wants to establish that again for us today,

  41. the original eternal and permanent purpose of our existence. After and the second part

  42. of it, after you come to know that Heaven's rules. After we know

  43. that Jehovah, Jehovah, God, the one true God who is supreme by

  44. obeying him. Right, Wow, so many words, so many words.

  45. Don't worry, let's break it down. Okay, let's break it down.

  46. Okay, So this this part of the section today. The message is going

  47. to be mainly on this part of the section today. Okay. Right,

  48. So next verse first John, Chapter two, First John, Chapter two,

  49. verse three. Right now, by this, we know that we know him

  50. if we keep his commandments? Right? So, yes, how do we

  51. know God? How do we know that we know God? Do you know

  52. God as your neighbor? Do you know God? Do you know God?

  53. Right? So this question this question, right, do you know God?

  54. The first First John, chapter two, verse three one two three right,

  55. very easy to remember. Now by this, we know that we know him

  56. if we keep his commandment all right, next light, So it says in

  57. Greek the Greek for no, okay, sorry, the Greek for keep,

  58. sorry, the Greek for keep, if we keep his command or? What

  59. does it mean to keep his commandments? In Greek? It means a terreo

  60. terio means to attend, to carefully, take care of right, really,

  61. attend to it, right, your eyes is always on it, attend to

  62. it, okay. Another part of it says, to guard so precious,

  63. to guard right. It's also a metaphor to keep one in state in which

  64. he is. To observe that means you don't just see casually. To observe.

  65. When you observe, you will look into the details. Right to observe,

  66. right, to reserve, to undergo something that means you will want to

  67. do something about it. To keep his commandments right, So something to think

  68. about. Okay, throughout the message that I'm going to that God is going

  69. to speak to us today, remember this, keep definition all right, tireo,

  70. okay, right to keep his commandments so important, all right. On

  71. that note, the title of this message today is obedience towards holiness. Woa

  72. heavyword he today. Don't worry. I'm gonna help us to break this down

  73. so that we can all understand. Okay, thank you Holy Spirit for helping

  74. us here. Yes, obedience towards holiness right next light, So there is

  75. a quote from pasta Canne's tweet. Hey do you know Past Canneth, our

  76. founding senior minister. He has a Twitter account. You can go and follow

  77. his Twitter account. Very good quotes there, and yeah, I've been so

  78. blessed just following his quote. Yeah. So in twenty fifth of June twenty

  79. nineteen, there's this quote from passe Kenneth. He says, that's one clear

  80. thing the world increasingly provides that the Church doesn't, which is options. While

  81. the Church give us so many options, right, So, but the church

  82. doesn't the Church doesn't give you options, right, And Passekenna is saying the

  83. church don't have thirty one flavors. The church don't promote you can have this

  84. and then you can have that too, right, Nor do we the church

  85. encourage and join our and pay later. Okay, familiar, familiar. Yeah.

  86. But the Church we preach choice and obedience, not options and convenience.

  87. Okay, very powerful. Ah, already outshry for some of us. Wow,

  88. this is tough thing. Tough, tough word. Okay, tough word.

  89. And we preach him God. We preach Jesus, not about us.

  90. All right, Okay, very good. I love this. Okay, It's

  91. a good reminder for all of us, Okay, that we come to church.

  92. I want to listen to, not opinions or options or convenience. We

  93. come to church to listen to messages that help us to live for the Lord,

  94. to obey his word, to come together, to share testimonies, to

  95. develop our faith so that we can obey the Lord together. Amen. Very

  96. good? Yeah, yeah, okay. So I have three points for us

  97. today next life, right, three points you can say, points or topics

  98. that we will go through towards this general title obedience towards holiness. Firstly,

  99. it's the command from God. The second one is love, and the next

  100. one is some role models that I will share with us. Yeah, so

  101. that we can encourage, okay, to live out obediently unto the Lord.

  102. All right, okay, so first point, all right, about the command

  103. of God to obey towards holiness. Let's read Leviticus chapter eleven, verse forty

  104. four to forty five street together, shall we right one two three. For

  105. I am the Lord your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you

  106. shall be holy, for I am holy. Neither shall you defile yourselves with

  107. any creeping thing that creeps on earth verse forty five. For I am the

  108. Lord who brings you up out of the land of Egypt to be your God.

  109. You shall therefore be holy for I am holy. Yeah. So this

  110. is where we here God telling us, or telling also the Israelites be holy

  111. for I am holy. Okay, Let's let's understand this word of God together,

  112. right the Lord next night the Lord here you can see the word the

  113. Lord. The Lord here in Hebrew right speaks about Jehovah. Right in Hebrew

  114. it says Jehovah, or we also sometimes say Jehovah Jehovah. The Lord is

  115. Jehovah. Jehovah is the existing one, the one true God. Right,

  116. he is the Lord. So every time you read in your Bible, right,

  117. when you see the Lord with capital letters, it refers to God,

  118. the one true God, Jehovah. Okay. And the next word your God,

  119. your God here's in Hebrew is Elohim. So the Lord, your God,

  120. Jehovah, Elohim, Elohim. Here talks about God who is the ruler,

  121. God, who is the judge, and he is divine. He is

  122. God. Right, he's your God, my God. Right, he's God.

  123. Right, Okay, So we know who this God is. He's one

  124. true God. He's ruler. That's why we have this theme called Heaven rules.

  125. God is the ruler, right ruler. He is the ruler, right,

  126. so we are his subjects. Okay, that that is just what it

  127. means, all right? Next our next, yes. And another word that

  128. repeatedly is repeated here is the word holy. Holy in Hebrew is kardosh.

  129. Kardosh means secret, holy, holy one set apart. Okay, basically set

  130. apart. Repeat after me, it's set apart. Holy is set apart.

  131. Just means, for example, if you have a pen, a pen is

  132. holy in a way where it's meant to be written on, not to dig

  133. anywhere in your body, your nose, your ears. No. No,

  134. again, the pan is meant to be to used to write something on.

  135. Okay, right, So that is set apart to do its purpose right.

  136. So similarly, holy, the word holy here means set apart. Okay.

  137. Next light another verse. Let's read together, Romans chapter twelve, Verse one

  138. and two. Let's read together, ready one to treat. I beseech you,

  139. therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your

  140. bodies a living sacrifice wholly acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service verse

  141. two. And do not conform to this world, but be transformed by the

  142. renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good and acceptable and

  143. perfect will of God. Aimmen. Right. So here a few words that

  144. I just want to highlight to us here, Romans chapter twelve, Verse one.

  145. Right. I beseech you, I urge you. That's what Paul writes

  146. to the Roman Right, Romans, believers, I be see you. I

  147. urge you, therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you

  148. present your bodies a living sacrifice. Bodies means everything everything that we have of

  149. ourselves, dedicating all of ourselves to be set apart. That's why the next

  150. word that holy, holy set apart, okay, acceptable to God, meaning

  151. to be well pleasing to God, meaning to say, all of our lives,

  152. let it be set apart, to be pleasing to God, in which

  153. it is rational our rational act of wiship That means it's just logical, is

  154. just reasonable act of worship our lives, our lives just being set apart,

  155. okay, being dedicated, all of it, being set apart to be pleasing

  156. to God is an a reasonable act of service unto the Lord, is what

  157. it means verse two, and do not and how do we set apart?

  158. How do we set our lives apart? So? Verse two explains how do

  159. not conform to this to this world right any do not be conformed any longer

  160. to the customs or superficial values of this world, very temporary values of this

  161. world. Always know whatever the world presents the words, know that it's just

  162. temporary. Right, it's just superficial their customs. Right. But be transformed.

  163. Transformed here means also changing, yes, changing a progressively changing. That

  164. means there is a process, or rather it's continually done it's not like you

  165. believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, you totally while like transformers, you become

  166. another robot. Right, no, no, no, no, it's a

  167. process, it's a journey. It's constantly being are changed. We are constantly

  168. being changed. That's why this is a reminder for us. But be transformed

  169. by the renewing of your mind. Focusing. Okay, when we talk about

  170. the mind, we talk about renewing of the mind, talks about focusing on

  171. godly values and ethical attitudes. Like you know, this is how we can

  172. do it by coming to church together. We share that Simonis together, we

  173. sing songs of God. We sing songs of what God is doing in our

  174. lives. So this is part of what we are doing, renewing our minds.

  175. Right Okay, why do we do all this? Paul tells us in

  176. the next sentence that on the next part that you may prove what is good

  177. and acceptable and perfect will of God. Wow, how many of us want

  178. to know what God wants for us? What is God's purpose for our lives?

  179. Why am I existing? Why am I born in this world? Why

  180. am I place here in Cyberjaya? Why in all the world? Why why

  181. am I existing in the family that God is pleasing me. Why all this

  182. question is why? Why? Okay? So that's why when we do,

  183. when we set apart ourselves, when we be transformed by the renewing our mind,

  184. we will be able to prove, we will be able to discover to

  185. see what is God's good and acceptable, perfect purpose and plan for our lives.

  186. Right. Okay, So this is what it means. Obedience towards holiness

  187. helps us to discover God's good and acceptable and perfect purpose or plan for you

  188. and me and the world around us. Okay, wow, so many words.

  189. Okay, I hope you care something right, Okay? Very good.

  190. So that's the first point. Obedience towards holiness is God's command for us.

  191. Okay. And the second point we're going to talk about love. Okay,

  192. just uh something like I'm I have three siblings right in. My parents has

  193. four children. I am the second child, right and if you see the

  194. word love here, oh ah, means Olivia. Okay. My elder brother

  195. is Lincoln. L I'm Olivia, my third brother Vincent, his name is

  196. Vincent, and youngest brother edmund E. So l o yeah, yeah,

  197. So that is my parents legacy for us. Many of us, many of

  198. them or many of the uncles and auntie's also come and tell me, So

  199. your children you want to name them Happiness Joy. I'm like, hum,

  200. really wait la, So I'm not yet? So yeah, I cannot.

  201. I don't know. It's my parents legacy. Oh yeah, he has four

  202. children. Love. Okay. So anyway, let's let's go into this this

  203. this point. Love Okay. So why why God wants to do this for

  204. us? Why does he gives us so many commandments, so many things to

  205. follow? Why? God? Because in First John chapter four, Verse nineteen,

  206. let's read together one to three, we love him because he first loves

  207. us. Amen, God love us so much that he would he Okay,

  208. in this First John chapter four vers. Nineteen. If you read First John

  209. chapter four, the context of this verse mainly talks about why Jesus is sent

  210. because he loves us. We love him because he first loves us. I

  211. love this fact that it is not just applicable to the New Testament. It's

  212. not only when Jesus was said that he loves us. I really believe that

  213. God still love us even in the Old Testament. That's why he gave us

  214. the commandments. Right, He loves us so much. For example, like

  215. Andrew and ivy are thank God for the privilege of giving us children. You

  216. have two kids and we also do tell them what to do and what not

  217. to do. Is because we love them. You don't want them to get

  218. into trouble, right, so we love them similarly? God, what more

  219. O, God, our heavenly Father, loves us so much that he would

  220. give us the commandments. Man, I mean this is great. Imagine a

  221. God that say that I, you do whatever you want, lah, you

  222. do whatever you feel like doing. Lah. Then you you get into trouble.

  223. Ah, it's your problema, you did something wrong. But no,

  224. he loves us so much. He don't want us to get into trouble or

  225. you don't us to be led to destruction. That's why he loves us.

  226. He gives He gives us his commandments. Amen. Next, like and other

  227. us, let's read together First John chapter five, verse three. Okay,

  228. you can flip to your Bible. Also First John chapter five, verse three

  229. is on us light. Yes, well, let's read together ready one to

  230. three. For this is the love of God that we keep his commandments,

  231. and his commandments are not burdensome tourten. God's commandment is not burdensome. The

  232. Word of God says this in First John, chapter five, verse three.

  233. Amazing, it isn't it. Yes, So even as we say this is

  234. the love of God. When we say we love God, we will keep

  235. his commandments again the world keep here, keep tarreus tarius means to keep to

  236. God, to observe, to really keep it so precious to you God's commandment,

  237. and his commandment is not burdensome. You can't even credit every time you

  238. want to obey, you want to follow God. Right, you feel so

  239. hard the gladest word over your life. God's commandment is not burdensome, hey

  240. man. Yeah. And in the meaning of this world burdens in in Hebrew

  241. it means a burdensome. Here it means like severe. That means God's commandment

  242. is not stern. God commandment is not severe, It's not It's not something

  243. that is violent or cruel. God's commandment is not cruel. God's commandment is

  244. not unsparing. That means it is for our own good. Amen, it

  245. is for our own good. Hey, I hope this is bringing some revelation

  246. to us, right or reminder even to some of us here, all right,

  247. next, like in John chapter fourteen, verse twenty one, Yes,

  248. let's read together, ready, one to treat he who has my commandments and

  249. keeps them. It is he who loves me. And he who loves me

  250. will be loved by my father. And I will love him and manifest myself

  251. to him. While who wants to know God? Who wants God to reveal

  252. himself to us? Of course I also want to Yes, right, and

  253. here it says that if you love God, you will keep his commandments and

  254. God will love you. And here Jesus says to his disciples this verse in

  255. fourteen John chapter fourteen, verse twenty one. Right, and I will love

  256. him and manifest myself to him. Yes, So you really want to know

  257. God. You really want to know God's purpose for your life or your company,

  258. your school, your family. You want God to know. You want

  259. to know God's heart. What is he actually doing this for? You want

  260. to see him, You want to know more of him. This is what

  261. we can do, right, to love him, to keep his commandment?

  262. Right, and Jesus promises here says that he will reveal himself to us.

  263. Actually, it is true, I do experience this every time when I obey

  264. God, I begin to realize something that every time when I obey God and

  265. I think I'm doing it out of my own strength, I find it burdensome

  266. if I do it out of my own strength. But when I just re

  267. obey God understanding his word. Just obey God, even though sometimes I don't

  268. understand it. Right, Oh, I just obey God, I feel so

  269. light. I feel so light, Like Yeah, Actually, why am I

  270. struggling? Why am I fighting against it? It's it's yeah, it's true.

  271. Yeah. Try try it. Okay, if you hear God's words speaking

  272. to you today, try obeying it and experience it for yourself. All right,

  273. okay, all right, okay, next light. Right, it's past

  274. the cannel sweet again in twentieth of March twenty twelve. Right, he says,

  275. this year, the very act of obeed to God itself keeps us alive.

  276. He God love us so much he wants us to keep us alive,

  277. right by obeying God. Yeah, just obeying God itself keeps us alive.

  278. All right, next life and all these quotes right from Pasacadas. He he

  279. don't just write for the sake of writing. He puts it down because he

  280. has experienced something and he wants to leave a legacy for those who are following

  281. following his tweet. Right, yeah, he wants to leave it to all

  282. of us who so that we can live an abundant life, true, true,

  283. the Word of God. Right, So yeah, he's just sharing with

  284. us. Okay. So this next quote is from John Bevie BeVier. Okay.

  285. John BeVier is also a very well known UH speaker of the word.

  286. He is he is a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. And yes,

  287. okay, so he says, Yeah, we don't want to merely obey God.

  288. We need to catch his heart. It is then we will glimpse the

  289. wisdom behind his directives and not just see them as laws. Wow. Yeah,

  290. we want to understand actually there's wisdom even in the commandments of God.

  291. Then we begin to say, wow, actually, for example, honor your

  292. father and mother. There is some wisdom behind it. Right. And when

  293. we do that, there is something that we understand more than just laws.

  294. That's what this quote is saying. Okay, right, all good, Yeah,

  295. time is doing good? All right? Cool? Next light, next

  296. light, it's the next point point number three. We're gonna I'm gonna share

  297. some role models, example from the Word of God. Okay, next light.

  298. So the first example we're going to talk about is Abraham. Right,

  299. Abraham in Hebrews chapter eleven, verse eight. You can also write it down

  300. and we can also read it together, shall we. Let's read Hebrews chapter

  301. eleven, verse eight, one to three. By faith, Abraham obeyed when

  302. he was called to go out to the place which he would receive an inheritance.

  303. And he went out not knowing where he was going. Wow, Abraham,

  304. Abraham, amazing man of God, amazing man of faith. Here just

  305. I've just highlighted a few words here obeyed Abraham another great example. He obeyed,

  306. and he go out to a place where even because God has either he

  307. didn't Okay, for the context of this verse. He didn't just go out

  308. by himself, right, God called him out right. God called him to

  309. go out, come out from your family and go to a place where I'm

  310. telling you to go. And he went. He obeyed. The Bible didn't

  311. say about what was his struggling internally. You know, let's ask him when

  312. we get to heaven. Ah. But you know, I mean think,

  313. think about it applied in our lives. Today, if you will, Abraham,

  314. God calls you to go somewhere, like just go pack your bags,

  315. go to the epot, and then you will ask God, God, go

  316. ahead, go awhere, I need to buy the ticket. Right, yeah,

  317. whatever heaven. He just went. He just went, just go,

  318. just leave your family and go. And he just went. He didn't know

  319. where he was going. Wow, next level of wow. Really right,

  320. Abraham obeyed God's command for him and his family to go out. That means

  321. he has to take his family to go out to be set apart now the

  322. world again, Holly, to be set apart from his family to God's destiny

  323. for him and his descendants, despite not knowing where exactly his final death destination

  324. is. Is God speaking to you today? Is God speaking to you this

  325. few I mean, in this season of your Life's God speaking to you to

  326. do something that you don't understand why you need to do it? Is it

  327. to forgive somebody? Is it to say sorry to somebody? Or to share

  328. the love of God to somebody even though you feel like he doesn't or she

  329. doesn't even deserve it. But God speaks, So may I encourage us even

  330. today. Let's obey, right, Let's be set apart. Right. Okay.

  331. Next example, Hey, Daniel, amazing man of God. This is

  332. Daniel. I tell you very good. Okay, let's read together Daniel chapter

  333. six, Verse ten. He says, let's read together. Ready, one

  334. to treat Now. When Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went

  335. home and in his upper room, with his windows opened toward Jerusalem, he

  336. knelt down and on his knees three times that day and prayed and gave thanks

  337. before his God, as was his custom since early days. Wow, Daniel's

  338. love and fear for the Lord led him to obey and kept to his custom

  339. since early days, to keep to his devotion to God, to be set

  340. apart, despite putting his life at risk. Right. So, in the

  341. context of this verse, you can go back and read Daniel chapter six.

  342. Right, go back and read Daniel chapter six. This is a story where

  343. where where the other chief helpers or other helpers of the king. Then right

  344. was very envious of the Daniel, and they urged the King to write a

  345. law to only pray to the King, not to other gods, and if

  346. anyone were to be found doing otherwise, they will be thrown into the lions.

  347. Then, so this is the portion of the story where Daniel, when

  348. he knew that the law was signed, he went home. He continued to

  349. pray, He continued to obey despite what is going around him. Right,

  350. he still obeyed, right, even though he is his life is at risk.

  351. Wow, amazing, Right, I mean, put put ourselves. Put

  352. ourselves in Daniel's shoes. If our government were to write a law, you

  353. know, I don't know how law they write. One day. One day

  354. cannot come to church, you'll take our bibles away? What will we do?

  355. Wow? That day I pray that they don't come. Love. But

  356. if the they even were to come, right, it's possible. Right,

  357. Yeah, will still be like Daniel. We still keep to our customs since

  358. the early days. Yeah, okay, good. Next person, the Lord

  359. Jesus Christ himself. Right, he is a great example of this role model

  360. obedience towards holiness. Okay. You know sometimes we say a ah, Jesus

  361. Christ's god ma so easy for him to over. Let's you put yourself in

  362. Jesus shoes. Okay. You maybe not God love, but put yourself in

  363. Jesus shoes okay, and you'll begin to realize. Wow, obedience, His

  364. obedience is just so inspiring. Let's read Romans chapter five, verse nineteen one

  365. to three. Four s by one man disobedience, many will made sinners.

  366. So also by one man's obedience, many will be made righteous. Brothers and

  367. sisters in Christ, Friends, our obedience will affect somebody. We may not

  368. know, we may not even think that it may affect anyone, But it

  369. does, because it says here in the Word of God that even Jesus's obedience,

  370. because of what he did, because of him choosing to obey what God

  371. is telling him to do, many will be made righteous. We are all

  372. recipients of his I mean, the recipient of the benefits of what he has

  373. done. Praise the Lord. Amazing, amazing, right, I mean,

  374. we wouldn't be alive today. We will be all being hung on the cross

  375. of it. We will be all crucified, if not for Jesus, will

  376. be all finished. Right God, Jesus, the Lord Jesus Christ is amazing

  377. because of his obedience. Imagine Jesus decided not to obey, what would happen

  378. to all of us? Right? Next verse, let's read together he Rules

  379. chapter five, verse eight one to three. Although he was a son who

  380. had never been disobedient to the Father. He learned active special obedience. True

  381. what he suffered. When we choose to obey, we will learn something right

  382. when we when we choose to obey, we will learn something next light right.

  383. It's a quote from John Belvie. Again, I think some of us

  384. may not be able to see. It is quite small and may read for

  385. us, just as Jesus learned obedience by the things he suffered. Actually,

  386. I didn't want it to put this God, you know, because I read

  387. why Jesus Jesus learned obedience? Would Jesus learned obedience? He is God?

  388. What obedience is he learning? You know, He's like Master PhD of obedience?

  389. Why is he learning of obedience? That's how I went to verse Just

  390. now we read in Hebrews Chapter five, verse eight, right, that Jesus

  391. learned obedience. Did you know the Lord Jesus learned obedience? So this John

  392. Beviro is also writing about it. John, Just as Jesus learned obedience by

  393. the things he suffered, we learn obedience by the difficult circumstances we face.

  394. When we obey the word of God that is spoken by the Holy Spirit,

  395. we will grow and mature in the times of conflict and suffering. Our knowledge

  396. of scripture is not key by obedience is yes, So we want to grow

  397. in our spiritual life any one of us? Of course, all of us

  398. want to grow, right. We don't want to say steck, no,

  399. we don't. We want more. I mean coming to church, yes,

  400. it's good, it's good. Okay, it's good, Coming to homes,

  401. it's good. Come for prayers always, it's good. But don't just come,

  402. right, don't just come. We come to be encouraged. We come

  403. to spot each other in the faith. Yes, yes, come right and

  404. come and you hear the word of God like today, right, come come,

  405. but hey, don't just come. There is something that God is.

  406. God. God is speaking, His command is going out every day. He

  407. speaks to us every day. What are we doing about it? Right?

  408. And when we do something about it, when we take it and we obey

  409. it, this is what it says that we will grow in our spiritual health,

  410. we will grow spiritually as well. Right, yes, yeah, okay,

  411. next, Like there's another quote from John BeVier. Physical maturity is bound

  412. to time, Spiritual maturity is bound to obedience. For example, my daughter

  413. is now five years old, right, her name is Arlene Hong. She

  414. is now about one hundred cm tall. She will need to take maybe another

  415. few years, a few more years before she is six feet high. That

  416. is time bound, right for example. Also, some of us here our

  417. students, or all of us here our students. We are learning right.

  418. Learning is a lifelong journey. Okay, we all learned together, right learning

  419. learning? Sorry, intellect, Intellect is bound by learning, right. The

  420. more you learn, the more intellectual you become. Correct, right, The

  421. more you learn, the more intellectual will become. Not so for spiritual maturity.

  422. You want to grow more in your spiritual maturity. It doesn't take time,

  423. It doesn't take more knowledge, It takes obedience. The more you obey,

  424. the more you become spiritually mature. That's why we can see sometimes it

  425. doesn't matter. It can be older people, it can be younger people.

  426. Right. Whoever we see before where a young child or not just a young

  427. child, a young person constantly obeys God, or maybe an older person may

  428. not always obey God. Like I'm just putting an example, and we can

  429. see that young people can be more mature in their spiritual being than an older

  430. man. Right, So that's why I'm here in the church. Here in

  431. as church, we encourage even young people to be leaders of the church,

  432. and they can lead homes which consists of alder people. Understand, right,

  433. because there is a maturity in obedience. And not to say not, we

  434. are not looking down at older people. All the people are also the same.

  435. Actually are older people. They have more more opportunity because they have more

  436. time. Right, But then again, spiritual maturity is not bound by time,

  437. so that an older person have more time to obey, so there's more

  438. chance to obey. So the more we obey, the more spiritual that we

  439. have older very spiritually matured people as well. Vary. I'm so blessed by

  440. them, so encouraged by them also, and they they are just amazing.

  441. We know a lot of them. Right, But yes, don't be surprised

  442. that younger people can be more spiritually matured than older people because it's not time

  443. bound. It's not intellect bound or it's not learning bound, but but it

  444. is obedience bound, is tied to obedience. Amazing, right, wow,

  445. So cool, right, okay, all right, okay, So next light,

  446. Okay, so we see in this light, it says making disciples that

  447. make the difference. Sorry, about that, about the ships. But yeah,

  448. making disciples that make the difference. This sentence is very familiar, right,

  449. It is the vision of the church, acts church right here, the

  450. church. We are here to make disciples that make the difference. Okay,

  451. So I'm gonna share some stories. These are some folthos that I have.

  452. All right, So there's a disclaimer to everyone one as I share this.

  453. This sharing, sharing these stories does not mean that I've mastered and got it

  454. all obedience to its holiness thing. I am like still learning, okay,

  455. just buried me even as I share this. Maybe this being an encouragement to

  456. all of us. Okay, I am still daily given the choice to choose

  457. to obey and the choice to choose to be set apart for God to use

  458. me. Okay, I'm just sharing to encourage us. Okay, not a

  459. one hundred percent full role model, but's getting there. Just just something to

  460. encourage us. Okay. So there's two pictures. The picture on your left.

  461. Oh so many more money, No man, no no no no go

  462. back back back back back back back back back backs, light back night.

  463. Yeah. So anyway, just now you saw two pictures. The picture of

  464. a school that is by high school in Penang, Right is in George's Girls

  465. High School? Yeah, in Saint George's Girls School, right and yes,

  466. And I was like okay, yes. So during my sixth form in my

  467. high school, God led me to pray for our school. I shared this

  468. with a few others of my Christian friends and they came along to pray together

  469. and declared God's word over our school. Yeah, we heard that there has

  470. been some spiritual thing in our school a lot of Yeah. Then during when

  471. I was a teenager, right, and so God led me to pray,

  472. and I got some friends to come together to pray, and we regularly prayed,

  473. and eventually God led us to start a Christian's fellowship. We didn't have

  474. a Christian fellowship, right, And it was true this Christian fellowship, we

  475. had witnessed one Salvation who eventually gave up her Tarot cards to follow Jesus.

  476. And it's just amazing that there. I still remember when we supposed to have

  477. that meeting, I met into a very bad car accident to a point where

  478. I had stitchers on my face. Yeah. I think if you see me

  479. up close, you'll see a scar here. It is well something to be

  480. remembered by and really praise God for all that God is doing in and true,

  481. even just being obedient and being set apart. Okay, right, so

  482. this is one example. Next example, next light. Right, it's a

  483. campus revel story. Yes, so you see these three beautiful ladies. Some

  484. of you may recognize her, right. So on the first picture which is

  485. on your leaf, the most left, the lady on the in blue right,

  486. she is Michelle U. Right. So this is a story of Xigaya

  487. campus level story. Ha. Yes, it's a during many years back,

  488. almost fifteen years ago. Right, Michelle, she is a student of Limcoqueen

  489. University. So she she she was studying there and she was led by God

  490. to pray for her campus. Yeah, and she had to set aside sometime.

  491. Notice I'm using some key set aside being holy, right, set aside

  492. sometime to pray and do prayer walks around her campus during her breaks. Yeah,

  493. she didn't just hang out or take a break, but she break to

  494. go around her campus to pray, right, and also to shed about Jesus,

  495. who Jesus is, and how Jesus is, who Jesus is in her

  496. life. And also she took time an effort and finances to do. Flyer

  497. ing. Flying means creating a flyer and sharing it to friends around her,

  498. inviting people to church as well. Right, And eventually that's this girl who

  499. is in year law. She's also a student. She was a student in

  500. Limcoqween University. She found a flyer. Okay, it was designed by Passa

  501. Jack I remembered, but also being fled by Michelle and a group of others

  502. as well at Limcoqween University. Nicolin then saw that flyer on the floor,

  503. right, she picked it up and say like, oh, okay, x

  504. Cyberjaya's service. Come come enjoy it. Like okay, So she came.

  505. She came to x Cyberjaya. That's how when she came, and you know,

  506. just coming again and again, her life was revived. Nicolin's life was

  507. revived. And she invited many others, true obeying God's leading. Yeah,

  508. and and she invited so many others, I mean amazing hundreds, right,

  509. Passa Jack is witnessed hundreds, hundreds. She invited so many people, right,

  510. um, And I just want to take this time to also say that

  511. today, out of the hundreds that she has invited, one of them are

  512. sitting among us here today, right, one of them is Elaine. Oh,

  513. Elaine, right, everybody knows Elaine, right, yeah, So Elaine

  514. is also one of the hundreds that she has invited, that Nicolin has invited,

  515. right she is now Nicoline is now called pastor. Okay, she's a

  516. pastor not right now. Pasta Nicolin invited so many others, and one of

  517. them is Elaine. And Elaine today she's a vibrant leader, homes leader and

  518. in SP zero one homes amazing, right besides, yeah, so imagine Pasta

  519. Nicoline's obedience, imagine Michelle's obedience. If they didn't do that, we wouldn't

  520. have people like Elaine today. We wouldn't have SP zero one homes. We

  521. wouldn't Yeah, and so Eland and so forth, right, and and thank

  522. God for Pasta Nicolin. She constantly invited. I'm sure, I'm sure there

  523. has been rejection. I'm sure out of her hard ndreds of invitation there must

  524. be some rejection or you know, I'm sure, right, And besides Elaine,

  525. some of them is like the third lady on the most right, right,

  526. her name is to me right, she is from Botswana, right,

  527. and and today to me to me was also from Limcoqueen University. She she

  528. also was invited by Pasta Nikolin to Extra and in Extra she has been coming

  529. to me, has been coming, and we know that she has reddicated her

  530. life over and over again, always come to up to the author. Car

  531. I still remember she always reddicate her life. She wants to reddicate her life.

  532. She always feel loved the form I want to reddicate my life. She's

  533. the one always reddicated her life. And yeah, just amazing and today she

  534. is uh yeah, so she she is also one of the many others who

  535. was who planted x Botswana in the city of garbarone right, and today x

  536. Botswana has planted X MUTREDI reaching out to many young lives in the Lord today,

  537. praise the Lord. Right, amazing, amazing because of all the obedience

  538. and just being set apart just to do God God's will right and to me

  539. for your information to me today she is actually a mother or she's already a

  540. mom, right, and she's she's officially married taken. Yes, she is

  541. now a mom. And she's also leading the church at the same time,

  542. right, and so many things that's happening in Botswana. And you know she

  543. can choose say, oh, Okayla, I am not a mom. I

  544. just Restla. No, we still see photos of her bringing her baby around.

  545. You know, where's she been out doing the X case and she's just

  546. just amazing amazing, no excuse, excuse, proof exploits packed amazing. So

  547. I really thank God, and it is out of all this sowing of obedience,

  548. many more people are coming to know God is amazing. Right, Okay,

  549. So this is the story. I hope you are encouraged. Brothers assists,

  550. right, Okay, next story Okay, next story Okay, So,

  551. uh is Andrew and I? Yeah? And if we are married my husband

  552. and I, then he was my my boyfriend. Lah. Okay, yeah,

  553. so in my relationship with Andrew, my ex boyfriend, then he we

  554. we desire to be set apart. Okay, I'm using the keyword again.

  555. We desire to be set apart, to set apart our lives, to obey

  556. God, to keep our purity before marriage. So this was looking for pictures

  557. before our marriage last this yeah, ten over years ago. Okay, Yeah,

  558. so these pictures yeah, before we got married. Okay. And we

  559. choose God's way above convenience because we love him and we fear him more Andrew

  560. was staying in Klana Jaya while I was staying in Street Combangan. Okay,

  561. it is about thirty to forty five minutes drive, right, depending on the

  562. traffic, and close to two hours because last time Andrew doesn't drive, so

  563. he takes the train to come and meet me. And if he does that,

  564. it's about two hours I did, yeah, two hours train right?

  565. Hooh, how do you do that? Tours train? Right? So?

  566. Yeah, he loves me so much. Yeah, but I mean conveniently we

  567. can choose a place to stay together before we get married, right, No,

  568. of course not. We don't do that. Okay. We want to

  569. honor God. We want to stay pure, want to be set apart,

  570. right there is Yeah, that is what we wanted to do. But Andrew,

  571. yes, traveled two hours on train, right, and we would only

  572. meet during week week ends during the daytime. Nighttime we try, Okay,

  573. you know, nighttime very dangerous? Are nighttime things happened? Again? We

  574. don't do that, yeah, we all we try to meet during the daytime.

  575. At least we have our dinner already. Then we go out separate rays

  576. right. What helped me through our courtship period was God's grace and his strength,

  577. my love for the Lord to obey, and tremendous support from the church

  578. community. I really want to thank for thank all the leaders you know of

  579. the church and you know, great support, tremendous support that I have.

  580. And yeah, so and and the greatest opportunity I had was is to have

  581. an accountability relationship with my other leader, doctor Jill, who was and still

  582. my biggest cheerleader. Also guiding me to draw boundaries. Very important. All

  583. of us who are here dating somebody, looking for somebody, draw boundary.

  584. It's very important how to draw boundaries. Come and look for one of us

  585. here. We can help you. Okay. The leaders here were happy to

  586. be in a discipleship relationship with you. Let's do this together. Draw boundaries

  587. very important to say, to set apart, to set ourselves apart, to

  588. obey God. Right. It is also to help uh. Yes, and

  589. and also it also helped me to have many inspiring examples of God fearing couples

  590. in the church to stay holy and pure. I still remember we had a

  591. we had a event. If we had an event called true love weights fast

  592. right. Yeah, it's amazing that that event. I think we need to

  593. realize that against someone I don't know. But yeah, let let god leaders

  594. are true love weights, true love weights. Okay, So, and I

  595. praise God for what we have chosen to do. It was difficult, not

  596. easier as I'm speaking like that, it's like words on it, but actually

  597. it's very difficult. Okay, keep your right. But we know that we

  598. love God more. That's why we, yay can do this together, not

  599. by my own strength but God, by God and the community around us.

  600. Right, yes, so cool. So that's that one story. Okay,

  601. Next story, right, is a my revel at work story. Yeah,

  602. I have a testimenty to share. I work in DHL here in Cyberjaya,

  603. right, Okay, So many years back, God led me to pray for

  604. my company and I was led and God led me to bless a few of

  605. my colleagues with a snack and a note of encouragement. One of them was

  606. the office reception is here the person in rid right, and I had totally

  607. forgotten about it until this. I've totally forgotten about it until February this year.

  608. She reached out to me to say that end of March will be her

  609. last day in DHL after working for thirty plus years. In the company.

  610. These were her words to me, very humbling. I'm very humbled. Okay,

  611. these were her words to me. You are one of the best I

  612. know in DHL. Her thirty years, she would say that you are one

  613. of the best I know in DHL. You have been so wonderful to me.

  614. I remember the chocolates and not saying thank you. I still have that

  615. note somewhere in container in the room. I'm like, wow, you actually

  616. give them. Yeah. Wow. It touched my heart big time. Wow,

  617. I didn't know that right she said that, And she said, also,

  618. you chat with me, you are always so nice to me. You

  619. are beautiful inside out. Wow, these are very words that I take it,

  620. very humbling, Like I didn't know a simple act of kindness and chocolate

  621. and thank you note that touched her big time a time where she was going

  622. through a very tough time. So, really, all glory to God in

  623. everywhere that we go, everywhere that we do, everywhere that we go that

  624. God has placed us. Let us be an encouragement. All glory to God.

  625. So there's a disclaimer again, sharing these stories does not mean that I've

  626. mustered or got it all. I am still daily given a choice to choose

  627. to obey and to choose to be set apart for God to use me.

  628. Amen, Next light, past, I cannot post again. There are revival

  629. opportunities before us every day. It only takes radical obedience to realize them.

  630. Okay, let's it radical obedience Okay, and next Light. So in summary,

  631. God wants to restore, reveal, establish his original, eternal, permanent

  632. purpose of our existence. After we understand that Jehovah, the One True God,

  633. is supreme by obeying him. Amen. We hope you've been blessed by

  634. this message. For more information on our church, please visit x Church Org.
