You're listening to a message to go from ext church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. The Holy Bible consists of sixty six books,
-
all right, and sixty six books in here thirty nine books. The first
-
thirty nine books are called the Old Testaments, and the twenty seven books after
-
that is called the New Testament. The Old Testaments consist of the stories of
-
people and the nation of Israel, of how God shows his love and reveals
-
himself, all right, so you get to read more about that, and
-
then that's before Jesus Christ was born. Right. The New Testament describes about
-
the life of Jesus Christ, right, and how he was born, his
-
life here on earth, his parents, his faith journey, his miracle works,
-
his teachings, and what people think of Jesus Christ when he was here
-
on earth, and Jesus Christ challenges and his death and resurrection. All right,
-
So this is just a short summary about yeah, the Book of Matthew,
-
all right, as rather the gods the Bible. Okay, so the
-
Book of Matthew is actually one of the four Gospels. Okay, if you're
-
new to this, just to share with us, the Book of Matthew is
-
one of the Four Gospels where it talks about the life of Jesus as I
-
described just now. Right, So, the Book of Matthew is the first
-
book of the New Testament. Okay. So if you open the content page
-
of the Bible of the Holy Bible, you get to see the New Testament,
-
and then the first book is called Matthew. All right. So now
-
you will know where to find the Book of Matthew in the Holy Bible,
-
all right, okay. So, and the Book of Matthew has twenty eight
-
chapters, okay. And we are today going to go into the Book of
-
Matthew chapter twenty eight, the last chapter, okay, all right, and
-
it will be a three pod series, so do bed with me. Okay.
-
Today we're just gonna cover the first part of the study of the Book
-
of Matthew, chapter twenty eight. All right, very cool, okay,
-
let's go. Okay, So Matthew chapter twenty eight. All right, So
-
if you have your Bibles, you can turn to it as well. Matthew
-
chapter twenty eight, Verse one. But just letting us all know, the
-
resurrection of Christ is one of the main foundations of our Christian faith. Very
-
important. So if any one of us here, or if you're listening to
-
this audio recording, if you are seeking the truth or you're seeking God,
-
right, just to let you know that the resurrection of Christ is one of
-
the main foundations of the Christian faith, and here are four main flawless proofs
-
of it from Matthew chapter twenty eight. Of course, other gospel books like
-
Luke and John has larger accounts of proofs of Christ's resurrection, but today let's
-
focus on Matthew chapter twenty eight. All right, So there's three parts that
-
we will be covering, but today we will only covering part one, right,
-
so, yes, that's the title Christ is Reason. We will go
-
through Matthew chapter twenty two. All right, next line, all right,
-
so part one of today's covering will be from verse one to ten, where
-
we will talk about the testimony of the Angel to Christ's resurrection and his appearance
-
himself to the woman. This approves, okay, So if you're thinking,
-
Ah, this Christian faith, what proof? So we are going to go
-
into the world God today. All right, are you excited? Come on?
-
I mean this God is real, okay, this approved in the Bible,
-
documented real for us here today praise God for that right. Right.
-
So the part two of this will be from verse eleven to fifteen of the
-
Book of Matthew chapter twenty eight. Right, it will be the confession of
-
the adversaries that were upon the guard. Okay, these are yeah, even
-
these approves, okay, all right. Next part three will be from verse
-
sixteen to twenty where Christ appearance to the disciples in Galilee and the commission he
-
gave to them. That will be part three. Okay, So it's gonna
-
be good. Okay. I'm truly so blessed even preparing this and just revived
-
again in my faith, I know. Right, It's like I've been.
-
I've been. I've been following Christ for many years now, but yet it
-
still speaks to me until today. Right. So just a background, so
-
for anyone of us who are new to the faith, just to let us
-
all know before the Book of Matthew chapter twenty eight. So I just want
-
to give us a perspective before we read Matthew chapter twenty eight. All right.
-
So, Jesus Christ, he was crucified, Okay, he was crucified
-
on the cross. He died on the sixth day of the week. All
-
right, sixth day of the week. We understand it as today's term Friday.
-
Okay, So we take Sunday as the first day of the week,
-
then Friday will be the sixth day of the week. So that will a
-
lot of us celebrate that as a good Friday. Right, So that's when
-
Jesus Christ died on the cross on the sixth day of the week. His
-
body, his physical body, was buried in a tomb with a large stone
-
covering its entrance. And we have Roman gods. All right, we're assigned
-
to guard the tomb from anyone else stealing the body. Okay, And all
-
his disciples, all his followers, deserted him because he died, right,
-
he was arrested, and all the disciples are ran, except for a few
-
of them who stayed with him until his death. Right. The disciples,
-
of course, were sorrowful, disappointed, hoping that Jesus Christ, will you
-
know, overthrow the Romans, but he died, like, okay, what
-
happened. All the hopes were dashed and everyone was discouraged. So this is
-
the background of the picture before we read Matthew chapter twenty eight, verse one.
-
All right, let's read. If you have your bibles, you can
-
turn to it. Right. If not, then you can also follow.
-
Okay, yes, I don't need to turn to Okay, just yeah,
-
I'll read the whole scripture from verse one to ten. Right, then only
-
we will go through the slices, all right, okay, So verse one.
-
Now, after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began
-
to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb.
-
And behold, there was a great earthquake, for an angel of the Lord
-
descended from heaven and came and rolled back the stone from the door and sat
-
on it for street. His countenance was like lightning, and his clothing as
-
white as snow. That is, the Angel was four. And the gods
-
shook for fear of him, and became like the dead man. But the
-
Angel answered and said to the woman, do not be afraid, for I
-
know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here for
-
his his reason, as he said, come see the place where the Lord
-
lay, and go quickly and tell his disciples that he is risen from the
-
dead. And indeed he is going before you into Galilee. Therefore Galilee,
-
there you will see him. Behold, I have told you was it.
-
So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and
-
ran to bring his disciples word verse nine. And as they went to tell
-
his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, rejoice. Other translations
-
says greetings. So they came and held him by the feet and worshiped him.
-
Verse ten. Then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid.
-
Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see
-
me. Amen, God bless the reading of his word. Wow, so
-
much to learn here, while the Holy Spirit speak to us today. Yay,
-
all right now verse one. Now, after the Sabbath, as the
-
first day of the week began to dawn, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary
-
came to see the tomb. Now let's go one by one, all right.
-
Now, after the Sabbath, some of us maybe wondering, what this
-
Sabbath? What's this word sabbath. Sabbath for the Jews is the seventh day
-
of the week in autumns is Saturday. Okay. If we consider Sunday as
-
the first day of the week, Sabbath is like a resting day, a
-
day of rest. Okay, right, and yeah, and yes. And
-
here in this story we see Jesus rise from the date right, he next
-
light, right, he rose on the third day after his death. Jesus
-
Christ died on the sixth day of the week, which is Friday. Right,
-
So Sabbath day is the seventh day where he rested. And then the
-
verse one says, now after the Sabbath, after the seventh day, which
-
is the third day, right, and he rose again. That is the
-
third day after his death. Right. He was buried in the evening of
-
the sixth day of the week, and arose in the morning of the first
-
day of the following week, which is Sunday. Okay, So that he
-
lay more than about thirty six to thirty eight hours. He was dead,
-
okay, bodily he was dead, okay, all right. But next he
-
arose after the Jewish Sabbath. It is also the Jewish passed over Sabbath.
-
Right, Christ on the sixth day finish his work on that day, Friday
-
when he died. He say it is finished. On Friday, it is
-
finished. He finished the work on the sixth day. It is finished on
-
the yes, okay. And on the seventh day he rested. The body
-
rested in the tomb, and then on the first day of the next week,
-
which is Sunday, begin a new world and enter upon the new work.
-
Right, as he resurrected on after the Sabbath. That's that's what we
-
call, uh, yeah, the new day. And you see Jesus arose
-
on that Sunday victorious. Amen. So that's why, okay, so he
-
arose upon the first day of the week, right. And on the first
-
day of the week, God commanded light Genesis one. Right, we hear
-
that when God on the how do you say, the first day of the
-
week, God created light. Right. God commanded light to shine out of
-
darkness. And on this day he was to be light of the world,
-
Jesus Christ, the light of the world, darkness to shine out of the
-
darkness of the Great And the seventh day, which is the Sabbath, he's
-
he's buried with Christ. Right, and it rose again in the first day
-
of Sabbath. And that's why it's called the Lord's Day. Sunday first day,
-
it's called the Lord, Lord's Day. And that's why we are all
-
gathered here today on a Sunday morning to worship the Lord, remembering his resurrection
-
sometimes morning and why do I come to church on Sunday? Why it must
-
be Sunday morning. This is the reason why Sunday morning. It's because the
-
Lord has resurrected, and we remember him, we celebrate him, we remember
-
his resurrection. That's why someone us say it's a celebrative Sunday morning. Yes,
-
okay, it's the Lord's day, right, Yeah, just in case
-
you're wondering. Okay, So in case someone asks you, why do you
-
go to church on the Sunday morning? Because Jesus rise on the first day
-
of the week, the resurrected Christ. Okay, then you have the opportunity
-
to share who this Jesus Christ is, all right, right, So it
-
is the Sabbath that instituted and remembering the perfecting work of creation. Yeah all
-
right. So he who on that day arose from the day is the same
-
by home and for whome all things were at first created and now a new
-
created. Yeah, he is our God, right, Okay. So that's
-
the first day of the week. All right. I hope you guys are
-
following me, right, Okay, So he arose as it began to dawn,
-
next next next light, yes, dawn, dawn. Maybe some of
-
us may be wondering what's the difference between dawn and sunrise. Everybody know dawn,
-
this is dawn before the sun come up. Dawn means it's still like
-
nar a bit can I beyond the dawn. It's like that you don't see
-
any sun yet, but you see some light. It's a hint of light,
-
right, next light, then sunrise, sunrise, you get to see
-
the sun rays that sunrise. Okay. So when we say dawn means before
-
the sunrise, but you see a bit of light, okay, a hint
-
of like okay, next night Okay. The first hint of daylight occurs before
-
sunrise, right right, And Christ arose when the day began to dawn.
-
In Luke, chapter one, verse seventy eight, right, Zachariah the priest's
-
prophesied of the day spring. Wow, you learn another new name or description
-
of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the day spring from on high did
-
again visited us. His passion began in the night, when he hung on
-
the cross and the sun darkened. He was laid in the grave in the
-
dusk the evening, but he arose from the grave when the sun was near
-
rising. For he is the bright and morning Star, the true light.
-
So in case you want to pray, are some of the things that you
-
can also speak to God. Right, refer God Jesus Christ as the day
-
spring. Okay. Is quoted in Luke chapter one, verse seventy eight.
-
And if you want to read more, you can read more about that,
-
okay, Luke chapter one eight. And their next light is the Bride and
-
morning Star. We can also pray and speak to God that he is the
-
Bride and morning Star. Okay. Right, So that's why, yay amazing,
-
right, Our God is just so amazing. Okay, Okay, let's
-
continue verse continue with verse one right now, okay. And Mary Magdalene who
-
came to the tom Mary Magdalene and Mary Okay, this is from the book
-
of Matthew A right, says Mary Magdalene and the other Mary. Okay.
-
And these women are one of the few women that was very very close to
-
Jesus even though he died, all the other disciples was already deserted them.
-
Like I hope God, I want to follow just continue back our old work
-
cloud. Right, But Mary Magdalene and Mary and the other Mary and some
-
other few disciples are still following him until death. And even after death also
-
follow Wow, this is super super follower. Okay, yes, super follower
-
the same. Yeah, because both these women followed Jesus, attended the funerals,
-
set over against the tone, and as before they sat over against the
-
cross, they were at the cross, you know, seeing Jesus died,
-
still study and to express the love that they have with Christ and still inquiring
-
him after he died. So as Christ in the grave was beloved of the
-
saints, so the saints in the grave are beloved of Christ for death and
-
the grave cannot slacken the born of love which is between them. Amazing,
-
right, I want to be like Mary and are the other Magdalene? I
-
hope you guys too, right, Yeah, it's so so amazing. You
-
know why, let's continue the story. I think we read just now so
-
you will understand. Right, I also want to be like them. And
-
you know what did they come to do? Mary, Magdalene and other marry
-
They came to see the tomb. Okay, so probably they want to come
-
and see what's happening because they heard that there are going to be gods,
-
you know, they thought that they want to see what how is the body?
-
Is the body still there. Right, So they came early, Right,
-
they came to see the tomb, better to see it was left it
-
or maybe something happened to it. Visits to the grave are great use for
-
Christians, right, And we recall a lot of good memories about the person
-
who died. But it is at this tomb all of us can always remember
-
Jesus Christ. We are reminded of our sin being buried. Right. It's
-
a very very good reminder that. Hey, when we are in Christ,
-
we are a new creation. The all has gone buried six feet under our
-
tomb closed. Yes, our sin is gone, forgotten, forgiven, done,
-
all right. But in Christ we are a new creation. The all
-
has gone, the new has come, all right. So that's why the
-
tomb was so important for us as Christians to remember that our sin are buried
-
out of sight. And it is a great proof of redeeming love of Christ
-
for us. Okay, So next life right, verse two, the appearance
-
of the Angel of the Lord. Right, So we have an account here,
-
yeah, in this manner, and it wasn't private. It was witnessed
-
by this few people that wrote down the evidence here in the Book of Matthew,
-
chapter twenty eight, in verse two, right, and it says here
-
and you can see it says here there was a great earthquake. Now,
-
earthquake in the Bible has a few significance. Right, we remember the earthquake
-
happened when Jesus Christ died on the cross. Remember when Jesus died, he
-
said it it's finished. Then there was an earthquake. Right. That earthquake
-
really talks about how the earth trembled. The Son of God died, and
-
it had the earth have to receive the physical body. The earth trembled.
-
Come on, if the earth can tremble, what are we? Right?
-
This is all God's created. We are all God's creation. The earth trembled,
-
right, and yeah, yeah, the earth trembled and shook with fear.
-
Right. But now that he arose, the earth again resigned him and
-
lived for joy in his exaltation. The earthquake again in Matthew chapter twenty eight.
-
Now that he arives, while the Son of God is risen, the
-
earthquake means it loses the bond of death, It shakes off the chains of
-
the grave and introduced the desire of all nations. Right now, you can
-
remember another name for Jesus Christ he is the desire of all nations. Quoted
-
from Hagi chapter two, six to seven. He is the desire of all
-
nations. It may not seem to us today physically right now, but it
-
is prophesied in the book of Hagui, and we shall see one day it
-
will be desire of all nations. Amen. Right, so we can pray,
-
you know, through Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ, you are the desire
-
of all nations. You are my desire. Right, you can pray something
-
like that. Right. It is a signal of Christ's victory. When the
-
earthquake, when the heavens rejoice and the earth also is glad. Right,
-
So that was an earthquake, an earthquake of rejoicing. The earth was rejoicing
-
in itself, right, Okay, because the Lord, the Son of God,
-
has risen, his creator has reason from the grave a man. Right.
-
Continue on in verse two, for an angel of the Lord descended from
-
heaven. Okay, this one supernatural. Okay, So you know in the
-
Bible also talks about angels, right, and how angels have been attending to
-
Jesus Christ. Right. And it was at the birth of the Lord Jesus
-
Christ, when the Angel came. Right. Angel also came to attend to
-
Jesus in his temptation. And the angel also came when Jesus Christ was in
-
agony before he was arrested to be taken to be crucified. Right, the
-
angel came to attend to them, to Jesus Christ. But upon the cross
-
we find an angel. Okay, when his father forsook him, the angel
-
wasn't there. The angels withdrew from Jesus Christ. But now that he is
-
resuming the glory he had before the foundation of the world. Now behold,
-
the angel is back attending to him. It's amazing. Okay, can you
-
picture with me? This angel came. The Son of God is raisen.
-
He has to come, right, he said, like the officer of the
-
heavens. He has to be there. Okay, So continuing on, the
-
angel descended and came and rolled back the stone from the door. Hey,
-
Jesus Christ is the son of God. Right, Jesus Christ has the power
-
to roll the stone like click figure the stone roller. You know, it's
-
like what one more? But sure can He's the creator. He can roll
-
this. Why you need the angel? Have you ever thought about that?
-
He's amazing, right, a lot. Jesus could have just rolled back the
-
stone himself by his own power, but he chose to have it done by
-
an angel to signify that having undertaken to make satisfaction for our sin. He
-
did not break prison, you know, prison break. No, he didn't
-
break prison, right, he Jesus Christ had but he had fair and legal
-
discharge obtaining from heaven right, so he did not break prison. But an
-
officer from the heavens was sent on purpose to roll the stone and so to
-
open the door of the prison. So it was it was how do you
-
say, legally heaven terms right, opening prison door? And Jesus came out
-
amazing, right, amazing when I read this, ill like, woh God,
-
you're so amazing you would actually show us this right? How many times
-
you read verse to it and we just missed it? Right? Angel actually
-
roll the stone away because Jesus, Jesus doesn't prison break, okay or break
-
prison right? Yeah, okay, the next one and sat on it.
-
The angel sat on it. Okay. Now I'm going to do a physical
-
illustration, Okay to engage our attention here, Okay, can I have Elaine
-
to volunteer herself and myself Okay, I hope everybody is awake. Now we
-
have an angel sat on it. I'm going to be the rock and Elayne
-
is going to be that angels sitting on me. Okay, just an illustration,
-
and I want us all to look and observe. What a how do
-
you say? What? What? What it means? Okay, what it
-
means? Okay, I'm just gonna do this, okay, So yes,
-
come Elaene, that's all like, ah, okay, okay, I just
-
okay, thank you, Elaine. Oh okay, it's okay, it's okay.
-
So she's sitting on the rock, which is me, and you can
-
hear my voice, right, okay, And I cannot move. She is
-
sitting on me. I cannot move anywhere, right, and she is like
-
above me, and she is like I'm under her and I cannot move.
-
I almost cannot breathe, right, okay, all right, thank you Elie.
-
Okay, thank you. I was just okay, all right. So
-
I could have just I should have I thank you, thank you. I
-
could have just taken a picture. I was also telling Ellen, I could
-
have just taken a picture, and it's just going to be a picture,
-
okay. But I wanted to illustrate something, right, you know, I'm
-
so okay, good, I'm good. It's good, Thank you, Elaine.
-
Yeah. And it's it's very important you know. You know you watch
-
some art art martial art sports, right, like wrestling or I don't know,
-
taekwondo or something that when the opponent is on the floor, the other
-
person needs to sit on the person on, right, Yeah, meaning to
-
say, like you know, like there's a countdown, was like what to
-
right something like that, And the winner is the person who sits upon the
-
losing person, right, So I wanted to illustrate that, right, and
-
and and you know this angel sat on the rock, Okay, the rock.
-
You can say, the rock is not a person, but people can
-
move the rock, right, So I just wanted to illustrate this very important
-
point, right, the angels sitting upon the stone when he had to roll
-
it away. It is very observable, observable, and it speaks of a
-
secure triumph over all the obstructions of Christ's resurrection. That means, Ah,
-
the angels sat on the rock. The rock cannot move right, Like just
-
now I can feel I cannot move at all, never, I cannot because
-
Elen is sitting on me all right, So and and there he said,
-
defying, defying means to break and violate, standing against all powers of Hell,
-
to roll the stone to the grave again, meaning to say the stone
-
cannot roll back again, meaning to say Jesus wanted all ah, he's the
-
winner again like thinking men count on one, two, three, Christ,
-
Yes, you can imagine the funny side of it, but yes, so,
-
yes, it cannot The stone cannot roll back again. So Christ established
-
his seat of rest and set of judgment upon his enemies. Right, the
-
Angel sat on the side on the stone as a guard to the grave,
-
having frightened away all his enemies guard. Right, and he was also sitting
-
like Elaine was sitting just now. The Angel was sitting on the stone right,
-
waiting for the women to come. The angel was expecting the woman to
-
come because there is a news that the angels want to There's a message that
-
the angel wants to convey to the women. Right. Christ establishing his seat
-
also declares that Heaven rules, right, Heaven rules, We're not Heaven is
-
we're not Hell loose already right when so, brothers and sisters in Christ,
-
remember today. I pray that we are reminded today Jesus Christ is the winner.
-
We are on the winning side. Okay. His victory over Sein,
-
Satan and death, and there's no more, there's no like like you know,
-
in it terms, we call it the roll back. You know what
-
it means, we go back to the origin. No, no, no,
-
these are no rollback. Okay. Angels sat on the stone, no
-
rolling back. Right, it is permanent and forever Heaven rules. Okay,
-
let's continue on the first three. Right. And the angel's continent was like
-
lightning. Wow, I haven't seen one, but if you do, the
-
Bible says it says here it looks like lightning. His face or his countenance.
-
His face was like lightning, this lightning thing, right, probably scarce
-
the enemies in the dark. You see some shining lightning face its countenance,
-
like people will say it's a ghost or something. Right, So it really
-
scared his enemies away. And his clothing was as white as snow. Right.
-
White here doesn't just resembling purity, but it also resembles joy, triumph
-
and garment of praise. Right. So, hey, the angel war something
-
that. Hey, we are winning. We are we are victory. We
-
win because Jesus Christ has risen from the grave. Right, So yeah,
-
it's a garment of praise. Yeah, it's a it's a significant garment white
-
Okay, right, next verse verse four, and the gods shook for fear
-
of him and became like date, man, men, I tell you you
-
know, sometimes some news are good news to other the same news that is
-
good news to others, it could be a bad news for others. Okay,
-
uh, yeah, okay, we all understand that. For this case,
-
yes, it was trembling fear for the for the gods themselves, right,
-
fear that fear took over the gods. And really they shook with fear
-
because they know that if they this means this means that their life would be
-
like gone. You know, if the if the Emperor finds out that they
-
the dead Man rose and walked out, they will be there because their assignment
-
was to God, to God the grave and not have somebody still. But
-
they have never expected that the dead Man would rise. Okay, so they're
-
like, oh man, my life is gone, my life is God.
-
They're trembling in fear, right, the resurrection of Christ as it is the
-
joy of his friends, so it is the terror and confused us for his
-
enemies. Right, So the evil one do shake in fear as well.
-
Hey, we are on the winning side. What does that mean? We
-
have the upper hand. Don't be deceived by the evil one's lives, you
-
know, saying that we are not good enough or God will not accept us,
-
you know, and all the discouraging words. But remember the word of
-
God today, brothers and sisters in Christ, be encouraged that we are on
-
the winning side and we have the upper hand when we speak the word of
-
God, when we stand up for what is right, when we declare His
-
promises over our lives, our families, you know, over our challenges.
-
Hey, you know that we are on the winning side. And the enemy
-
trembles when we know this truth. Yeah, over our signersves, over things
-
that seems impossible for us. But all things are possible with God. Amen,
-
right, yes, yes, so amazing. Okay, continue next verse
-
five. But the Angel answered and said to the women, do not be
-
afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus, who was crucified. Right,
-
and Jesus encourages them against their fears, so to come to come near
-
to the grave, right, especially in silence and solitude. Has you know
-
those silence, solitude and seeing all that that happened, they were, of
-
course frightful. But the angel spoke to the woman. He realized that the
-
angel didn't speak to the gods, right, no need to speak to them,
-
right, But the encouragement needs to come upon the women. Yeah,
-
do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus Christ, who
-
was crucified. Right, those that seek Jesus have no reason to be afraid
-
for Yeah, no need to be afraid. If you seek him de gently,
-
they shall find him and and shall find him. They are bountiful rewarder,
-
right, he you know for all of us here who is even here
-
right now or listening to this audio recording. If you are seeking the Lord
-
Jesus Christ, you're seeking about who this God is, this is the word
-
for you, don't be afraid. Come, come and see. Come you
-
know, And when you seek diligiently, when you when you take the effort
-
to really find out, or you know, ask questions. The promise of
-
the Lord says, those who seek him diligently shall find him. You will
-
not be confused. You will find him, and he will be the bountiful
-
rewarder of those who seek him. Diligiently. Right, Amen, there is
-
a reward for you at the end when you seek him diligiently a man,
-
and and truly I want to be a testament. So I just want to
-
say that, really, whenever i'm personally myself and I seek God upon a
-
question, something you know that I'm confused about, or the challenges that I'm
-
going through, whether it's in my workplace or in my family, I find
-
that I truly find Jesus Christ the bountiful reward. He gives me that peace,
-
gives me the answer to keep pressing on, to keep moving on.
-
And truly it's reward that money cannot buy. Yeah, okay, continue,
-
let's continue. Verse six. He is not here, the Angel said to
-
the women. He is not here. He is risen, as he said,
-
right, so he is not here. He assures the women of the
-
resurrection of Christ. And there was enough in that to silence their fears.
-
Right resurrected. Okay. The women was so discouraged, they were so afraid.
-
But the Angel assure them, don't be afraid. You're looking for Jesus
-
Christ, right, your master, your teacher. He is not here.
-
He's not here. He is raisen. Right, he is raisen. He's
-
not here, right, Yeah, and yes yeah. It is a matter
-
of comfort to those who seek Christ and misfinding him where they expected, because
-
they were expecting him to be lying there. But he's not there, So
-
he is reason. Right if we find him not insensible, comfort yet his
-
reason. In all our inquiries after Christ, we must remember that he is
-
reasen and we must seek him as the reason one next light. So we
-
must seek him as a reason one next light. He is no longer here
-
on earth. In case that you are seeking this Jesus Christ, and you
-
are trying to figure out with our normal physical understanding, sometimes it's very hard
-
to understand because he's not here. He is reason. Okay. If you
-
have more questions, feel free to approach any of us leaders. We are
-
happy to help you out to walk with you to discover the truth of the
-
Lord Jesus Christ. We do not have all the answers, but the Word
-
of God will continue to lead us to find the answers that you are seeking.
-
All right, so he is not here, he is risen, no
-
longer here on earth, next light. And with great reverence and regard to
-
his goor so when we seek him, whether it's it in our daily devotion,
-
remember that we are seeking the reason one. Remember to be reverent and
-
regard his glory next light, right, and every time when we seek him.
-
Sometimes, I mean, that's a tendency. We are still here on
-
earth. There's a tendency of earth asking God for physical needs. Yes,
-
it's good, it's okay, not bad. But also remember to set our
-
hearts on things above. Write in collisions. Chapter three was one to three.
-
Remember that we when we seek God, he is God, Jesus Christ,
-
he has risen. He's no longer here on earth. All right.
-
Next like so, and as he said the women, the angel sorry,
-
the angels say to the women, he's not here for his reason as he
-
said, right, Jesus has already said to his disciples that he he is.
-
He will rise on the third day. Right. And the angel is
-
just reminding the women that this was the word that was shared with them,
-
just recalling, Hey, did you remember Jesus Christ actually said this, as
-
he said, so remember his word and promise us next life. So come
-
and see the place where the Lord lay. So when you know, sometimes
-
our faith can be shaken sometimes and sometimes it's hard to believe. But here
-
is an encouragement for all of us as as we continue to strengthen our faith.
-
Remember, how do we strengthen our faith? Faith comes by hearing and
-
hearing the word of God. So the Bible. Read, Read the Bible.
-
As he said, remind, remind yourself. So how not just read
-
the word of God? How do you read the word of God? More?
-
You can listen to it, you can read it. Come for homes,
-
Come on Sunday. The word of God is being preached. We hear
-
worship songs again, over and over again. The word of God strengthens our
-
faith. The moment, the moment we let go of or compromise the reading
-
of his word or listening his word, there will be that time and the
-
enemy will come and put a foothold. Don't let the enemy do that.
-
Let's be strong in his word by reading it faithfully, all right, and
-
not just that. Yes, I know we are all humans. We are
-
also weak. But thank God for his grace. And you know, second
-
chance after a second chance. He's not just the angel not just say about
-
Jesus's words, but he also say come and see, come and see.
-
You know, if there are times when you need to see evidence of miracles
-
or signs and wonders, right, that will also be an opportunity for your
-
faith to be strengthened. So that's why you see, when Jesus was living
-
here on earth, he did many signs and wonders, and many people turn
-
to believe in him. Similarly, there are evidence of his works that will
-
also cause our faith to arise here and also just bring it practically here to
-
the church. We are all here, the church together, if we don't
-
do the works of the Lord, like for example, praying and you know,
-
praying for healing, praying for someone to you know, encourage for example,
-
if is not here, we don't get to hear my Male's testimony or
-
Paul also was encouraging Male. I mean, if there's no Priscilla, there's
-
no Paul, that's there wouldn't be probably, I don't know, may not,
-
I know for them, I don't know. For example, I'm just
-
taking this example right from today's testimony. Right. But but God uses people.
-
Will we be that people to be the hands and feet of the Lord
-
Jesus Christ to carry out his works and his signs and wonders. To see
-
many more to come this is just a spark. We want to see many
-
more happening here in Cyberja. Yah, we don't know, you know,
-
we don't know, say a in kl La hyper. We are all here,
-
We're all here. We can be that, you know, we can
-
be that that that tool to be that evidence of work that God can use,
-
that we can see God's works and wonders happen right here in our neighborhood,
-
right here, right here in Cyberjaya. Amen, right, so that
-
many more people will come to know him right next light. Okay. So
-
the angel also said to them, women, go quickly and tell his disciples
-
that he is risen. Go quickly. Okay, why is the urgency?
-
Sometimes you may wonder, I take your time? Was okay? Right?
-
A right? What's the urgency? Held on? Right? Right? So
-
remember at this time, the disciples are very discouraged. Hope is gone,
-
hope is crushed, Their savior is gone. But the angel told the women
-
go quickly because the disciples are discouraged, So go quickly and carry this news.
-
The Master is alive, he is written, the Savior, the Son
-
of God is right. For example, hey, when you've got to sell
-
right or something is some good news. You want to keep it. Something's
-
happening. You know, there's a dadline or something. You know, as
-
there's a sale, come and buy things right for for things good news like
-
this. You want to share the moment you get it right, so and
-
you want many more of your friends or family members to be blessed. Similarly,
-
the angels say, go quickly and tell disciples. And also probably yeah,
-
probably because before this, right, we hear that the Angel spoke to
-
the women, come and see the Master is lying, right, So probably
-
they are looking like really it's empty. They are probably very amazed, like
-
they're probably spending a lot of time in the tomb, like, oh,
-
amazed. But then suddenly the angel say, go quickly. You know this
-
this really speaks about public uh, the use the all of us. Public
-
usefulness to others be preferred before the pleasure of secret communion with God for ourselves,
-
For it is more blessed to give than to receive. Right, So
-
whenever when we read, when we spend out, it's important, it's not
-
to say that it's not important. It's very important to have our quiet time,
-
to walk with the Lord, to read our Bible, to pray every
-
day it's very very important. But don't just be faithful and keep it all
-
in your quiet time. Make sure we also bring it, carry it out
-
quickly. Go and whatever you catch, share it. Whatever you catch,
-
share it right, share it, whether is it in form of your behavior
-
or whether it's a form of speaking out. You know, sometimes actions it
-
speaks louder than words. So yes, it is blessed. It is more
-
blessed to receive and to give them to receive. This is cated in Acts
-
chapter twenty, verse thirty five, right in case if you need to refer
-
to that, right and then next yeah, so yes, of course,
-
you know, when people are discouraged, the moment they get good news,
-
it enlightens themselves. But if the good news is delayed in reaching them,
-
probably their discouragement may lead them to bitterners and you know, and go down
-
and down, and now it could be very dangerous. Right, So that's
-
why the angel told the women faster, go quickly and encourage the disciples.
-
And you never know, probably the disciples may want to inquire themselves. So
-
they probably will come up from their state of discouragement, of distress or bitterness,
-
come up again because there's work to do yes, next light right?
-
And the women. Hey, you know we had some questions during the youth,
-
sorry, the campus question and answer about women. This is also another
-
answer to that question about women. Hey, did you know that the first
-
person or the first group of people who believed or saw the resurrector Christ are
-
women? So this is the proof in Matthew chapter twenty eight, verse seven,
-
right or six or so you can say, right, women were chosen
-
to be that awareness. Hey, they are the apostles of the apostles.
-
God does not look down on women. Okay, Our God loves everybody equally,
-
all right. So here it's also another proof, all right, And
-
you know it was also the women. You know, we remember the women
-
in Genesis where Eve was the first to pick the fruit and cause Adam to
-
sin. You know, everybody blame if, y'allah. If not because of
-
if, then all of us won't be suffering right now. Hey, but
-
now God is trying to reverse that. God is reversing that and appointing women
-
to be the apostles of the apostles men, meaning to say, they become
-
the first person the how do you say the yeah, yeah, So it's
-
it's really reversed Okay, I don't know how to put in words, but
-
yes, it's a reversal of what man has messed up. God is fixing
-
it back, right. Okay, So God loves women as well, and
-
he chose this to happen to marry Magdalene and the other marry right, amazing,
-
right, hey, women, So we cannot be the second hand,
-
but always remember that also God chose the weak things of the world to confound
-
to the mighty and put the treasures not only into earthen vessels, but here
-
into the weaker vessel as the woman. Yeah, because previously the women was
-
the one that was deceived by the evil one and sin came into the world.
-
So these women were the first to believe and see the christ resurrection.
-
That and that reproach of yeah, sex might be removed a man a man?
-
Okay, moving on verse eight, No, sorry, continue on the
-
verse seven, next light, right, and that he is reason from the
-
dead, and indeed he is going to see you in Galilee, all right,
-
Galilee? What's so important about this? Uh? This place called Galilee?
-
Okay, next light there's a map. Yeah, so this is a
-
map of some parts of Israel, or mostly Israel, Right, and you
-
can see next light, Jerusalem is there. Jerusalem is where the where Jesus
-
died. Okay, Christ crucified and buried. Okay, that's where. And
-
Galilee is up there the area around the orange right, I counted roughly,
-
it's the distance from here to Malaca. From Sabajaya to Malaca is probably about
-
that distance. Try walking, okay, Try walking one day, okay,
-
find out homes, out something that's walk. I don't know, but be
-
careful again. Yeah, anyway, so it takes about their plus to walk,
-
okay, last time, no ca Okay, it's it's about that distance,
-
okay. And what's so significant about Galiley? Next? Like okay,
-
Galilee is also a place where Jesus Christ did his ministry mostly right, and
-
he he spent his a lot, a lot of his time was in Galilee.
-
So a lot of his disciples are actually there, not just the twelve,
-
but many those who have healed those because Jesus Christ was there preaching,
-
like for example, the Beattitudes, you know, the Summon on the Mound.
-
He healed so many sick people at the Sea of Galilee. That area
-
a lot of followers. And you remember, right, every time we read
-
the Gospels, there's always like multitudes following after him. So you can imagine
-
the amount of disciples are there in Galilee at the same time. Not many
-
of them came to Jerusalem to see him die or bury, you know,
-
not many right, In fact, almost all of them were still in Galilee.
-
They heard the news. They just don't want to be part of the
-
mess that's there. They just want to stay there. But yet, Jesus
-
Christ, he's so compassionate. His compassion continues on even after his death and
-
his resurrection. He is going to Galilee to meet his disciples that are still
-
there. Discouraged, yes, disappointed, Yes, he wants to go to
-
Galilee to encourage his disciples. In kindness to his disciples that remain in Galilee.
-
There are still people there, right right, I mean, our savior
-
compassion is really unimaginable. Right, he would still remember them right next,
-
like in consideration, yes? And also why Galilee because in Jerusalem very in
-
a sense can say, very political, this very very sensitive area because the
-
authorities are really looking at Jesus' disciples. Whoever, in Jerusalem, they already
-
set gods to make sure that the disciples don't steal the body and all that.
-
You know, they want to track the disciples down and really shut off
-
the work of what the Lord Jesus Christ has started. You know, they
-
really want to put all the disciples down. So it's very sensitive place.
-
And you know, our God is also a very considerable god. He knows
-
our situation and he wants to bring this. He wants to meet his disciples
-
at a place where he's peaceful, where people can just not worry about what
-
is happening here on earth. He wants to reveal himself. You want to
-
restore the disciples who are hurt and discourage. So this is a reminder or
-
an encouragement for us here in the church today. Here you know, when
-
whatever situation that you are in right now, the situation whether you are right
-
now discourage, angry with God, or you feel like you know, you
-
don't understand why God is doing some things in your family. Why are you
-
in this state where you are right now? Know that He wants to meet
-
with you. He wants to meet with you at where you are at.
-
He remembers you and he wants to meet with you and show himself to you.
-
Right So, he is a compassionate God. He loves you, he
-
remembers you today. All right, be encouraged, brothers and sisters. Okay,
-
next light, so be all I have told you so, the Angel
-
said. Okay, so now I tell you, I have already tell you.
-
This message is already given to you. Okay, and next next liight,
-
yes, and the Angel has already conveyed the message to the women,
-
So now it's up next night. So now it's up to the women what
-
they are going to do with the message. Right, and all of us
-
here be encouraged. Also when God calls us to share a message about something,
-
live the result to God. Okay, don't have to be worried about
-
what will happen. Like the angel, he just said, yes, I've
-
told you, this is my job. I've done it and I'm done.
-
Okay. So I told you. The responsibility now is for you to do
-
what I have told you. Okay, So it's now on your ped okay.
-
So similarly, where we share about the love of God and about who
-
this Christ is, the God that really changed your life, share your testimony
-
and you know whether the person believes it or not. Just leave it to
-
them. Let God will do that convicting work in their hearts right, and
-
you begin and continue to so continue to share your testimony, share testimony that
-
are also here or at homes as well. Right, so share. All
-
we need to do is to be that messenger like this angel. Okay,
-
next light right? What's it? So they are they went out quickly from
-
the tomb with fear and great joy. Next light right, So fear and
-
great joy. They were so filled with fear and great joy. Why fear
-
and great joy? Next light? So and there was great joy because their
-
master has resurrected. Yay, let's go next light. Fear fear because men,
-
it could be just too good to be true. Right, Sometimes we
-
are afraid to share about some news that may be too good to be true,
-
and maybe sometimes people may not want to accept the message. But similarly,
-
the women did felt the same way. Next light and they ran,
-
And it was because of the fear and joy that was fueled by them.
-
They ran next light right, they were filled with joy. They ran.
-
There was something that was triggering them or pushing them to run to the disciples.
-
Right. Yes, and also be reminded that those that are sent on
-
God's errand must not lose time. I remember, brother Balagi's message. Very
-
good, thank your brother biology. It's the message that you shed earlier this
-
month. Right right about don't stop walking, keep running. Remember he thought
-
about the difference between walking and running. Here is an example in the New
-
Testament. Run right, run. The women ran right and they he ran
-
and they ran, and of course they did walk with the Lord right before
-
this. They had they had time. They didn't stop walking, because they
-
continued walking even to the death. Even to even after the death, they
-
still walk with the Lord. They were still following after him. And now
-
they are running because they heard their message. Hey, this messag need to
-
be shared with others. So they ran right. And this reminds us towards
-
the finishing line that we all need to be running as well. All right,
-
let's do this together as a church. Let's go forward, and let's
-
continue to finish the work of the Lord. Right next, like yes,
-
to bring his disciples word. Yes, the disciples are truly discouraged, and
-
time cannot be wasted. All right, next light okay, verse nine.
-
And as they went to tell the disciples, behold, Jesus met them saying
-
rejoice. So they came and helped him by the feet and wish him next
-
night, right, So as yes, you know, many times when we
-
serve God, sometimes we feel like God, is this really worth it?
-
You know, as we are faithful in serving the Lord, in obeying his
-
commands, know that one day, you never know, Jesus may meet us
-
where we are at. I truly can test if. I many times when
-
I serve God, sometimes I also do feel discouraged. But hey, many
-
times also Jesus meet with me, Like this place Jesus met them. You
-
know, Actually Jesus don't really have to meet them because they're already running.
-
They're already going right, and Jesus met them right as they went. Jesus
-
met them, and it's bonus next like it is bonus indeed right in their
-
obedience. Maybe I do not know what if the women didn't obey right,
-
maybe Jesus may not meet them because they were on their way. I don't
-
know. I really don't know. But here it is written that it is
-
in their obedience Jesus met them. Would you want to be met by Jesus
-
or would you want to meet Jesus? Would you want Jesus to meet you?
-
You know, when someone offers you, you know, like for example,
-
hey, come and serve in a dream team. That's when there's so
-
many things that we need hell. For example, now you can see past
-
that worship liding you redis there's a sign that's calling our head. We need
-
someone someone to play Kahan. Maria has been playing Kahan and almoso. So
-
you can see there's actually signs around that is telling us that, hey,
-
we need help. All right, So, yes, we do need help
-
in almost all our dream teams here, So do come and approach one of
-
us and volunteer your talents into the Lord. Okay, right? So yes,
-
next light? So and yes, and Christ is nearer to his people
-
than they can imagine it is. It is true that even in the running,
-
even in the serving, in the even in the walking, or even
-
in the sitting, right, God can still meet with us. In this
-
case, the women, Jesus met them next light and saying rejoice. Another
-
translations say greetings right uh. That is that is yes uh in the Hebrew
-
right in okay, sorry, in English, that's an English world that talks
-
about greet things. It means about uh, wishing well, okay, wishing
-
you well in Hebrew. Usually when they send the great thing is peace be
-
with you, right, peace be with you. And and in Malaysia here
-
we say appa kabar, right, the Chinese will say nilma. But and
-
then so the only say have you eaten? Right? Talking about your well
-
being? Right? Similarly in this case, rejoice. Certainly, Jesus met
-
them and say, hey, great things like like like how it was before
-
he was crucified like And of course they were marveled, like Jesus actually rose
-
from the dead and were it and he is speaking. They were so speechless,
-
they were so amazed. All they could do was just a bouder and
-
worship him next night, right, And yes, of course when Jesus said
-
that, it was an encouragement for their friends and encourage even more of their
-
joy. Remember the women was running out with joy and much fear. But
-
in this Jesus appears to them and encourage their joy and also silence their fear.
-
They do not have to fear anymore. The evidence is so real.
-
They do not have to fear anymore. It is so real. Next light
-
right, So, of course, and that that was their response next light
-
right. And then Jesus said to them, do not be afraid again.
-
Again he addressed the fear to really silence that fear. Do not be afraid.
-
Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee and there will see they
-
will see me. Next light. Right, So Jesus confirms the word of
-
his men, saying, just again again. So when God speaks to us
-
several times, know that there is an assurance of his word towards us.
-
If you're hearing a message on Sunday again and again, there must be a
-
reason. Right, not say why Paster not or Olivia not creative? Nothing
-
else to say. It's the same thing God speaks to us in repetition.
-
All right, It's not about creativity, but it is what God is leading
-
us into. Why this here o Heaven rules? Heaven rules, or what
-
every Sunday Heaven rules. There is a message behind this and there is an
-
appointment that is an assignment that we all need to take up. There is
-
something to be done us here as a church and beyond. Right, So
-
Jesus confirms the word of his messagers, next light his resurrection. Silence your
-
fears, like I said, just now, Okay, next light, So
-
go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee and there they will see me.
-
Next light, And Jesus repeats this mess to strengthen their joint. Hey,
-
I'm going to meet you there. When Jesus says I'm going to meet
-
you that he will be there all right. I know sometimes we may can
-
be disappointed us by some people when they say something, but not but hey,
-
this Jesus doesn't disappoint us when he's saying he will make that he will
-
be there all right. So he was there. So Jesus calls his disciples
-
bredn Yes, this is one of the first time that Jesus calls his uh
-
disciples his brethren. Right, tell, my brethren is a very powerful how
-
do you say? A powerful thing that he relates his disciples as his brethren,
-
and he shows this example where he also forgives them because the disciples really
-
deserted him. No, I mean, I mean if someone deserted you or
-
you know, backstep you or what, you won't even want to talk to
-
the person or I don't know, for me, I won't want to talk
-
to the person anymore, like okay, whatever, you know. But hey,
-
Us still invites these people who mistery or not mister like denied him or
-
just they didn't want to follow him. He says, hey, I'm going
-
to meet you there. Okay, let's go there. I'll meet you there.
-
Okay, next light and cross them brethren, right, brethren also talks
-
about whatever that Jesus is doing, whatever he has his resurrection, they can
-
experience the same as well. So Jesus forgives his disciples who deserted him is
-
an act of love, is an example of love that he is showing that
-
the disciples should also do the same with the rest of the disciples together okay,
-
next light. So it is also an example of humility, forgiveness in
-
the midst of honor, calling them brethren. You know, Jesus Christ,
-
he don't just rise from the date and yay, I'm superhero. Yay,
-
everybody about on to me, I'm superhero. No, he go down.
-
He goes down to meet them. You know, he didn't say he come
-
up. I mean, he goes to where the people go to Galilee even
-
you know, he didn't even say, come Jurisy, everybody, come to
-
Jerusalem, come wash me here. No, he goes to where he humble
-
himself. He forgives his people that really denied him. He he and at
-
the same time honoring them who had who had denied him. I mean,
-
they don't even deserve it. I mean, you know, humanly speaking,
-
right, you don't give somebody who really like, you know, backsta you
-
or really you know, don't want to associate with you. But he's still
-
honoring them and calling them Brad. I don't know when. Whenever I read
-
this, it's just so amazing. That's why I say, when we read
-
the World of God, it is it's it's higher, it's a higher standard
-
of living. That's why sometimes you say why Christians so amazing? Why because
-
we follow you. Christ is amazing, Like our pastor Jack said, tod
-
Jesus Christ is amazing. Right. He even calls those people who denied him
-
brethren. Right, it is amazing. Okay, go back and continue meditate
-
on this and really absorb this and just ask in God's amazing work and remember
-
that we should do the same to our brothers and sisters to forgive and also
-
remember them as God's child as well. Okay, next night, brethren,
-
Okay, summary, summary can take a whole big picture of what. Okay,
-
summary, and just remember, right, the resurrected Christ. Next night,
-
let's keep going, is the day the residirected Christ is the day spring,
-
bride and morning star, the desire of all nations. Okay. This
-
is something you can take back and remember that Jesus Christ rose on the first
-
day of the week. That's why he's the day spring. Right. He's
-
the bride and morning star, not the moon. Okay, all right,
-
there's a bride and morning stuff. He's the desire of all nation. Next
-
light. Right. He is victorious, over seeing Satan and death. Heaven
-
rules. So it is a good news and glad tidings. That the reason
-
of great joy. And we must quickly share this message because time is running
-
out for me as well. All right, Yes, next life, all
-
right? So has and Jesus Christ, the resurrected Christ, has compassion and
-
meets his disciples where they are at, and he loves and forgives his disciples
-
and calls them his brethren. This is something that you can take back and
-
just meditate on it during the week and just remember the resurrected Christ, and
-
you know, and live our lives knowing that we are serving and living and
-
loving the resurrected Christ. All right, all right? And I just want
-
to also, you know, while preparing for this, I remember I feel
-
that this verse in verse ten, right, really I have I think this
-
one really will need to be received by some of us here today here.
-
In verse ten, they'd mention, I really feel that among us here today
-
may be afraid about something I do not know, but probably you only know
-
the situation that you are at. In verse ten, I'll just read in
-
verse ten. Then Jesus said to them the women right, do not be
-
afraid. Go and tell my brethren to go to Galilee, and there they
-
will see me. I really feel that among us here today may be afraid
-
about whether things around us, or the situation that's around us, or probably
-
something that is causing that fear. But Jesus Christ says and reminds us again
-
today, do not be afraid. Do not be afraid, and see this
-
resurrected Christ. Jesus speaking to us, he speaks means he is alive today,
-
he is resurrected. He is not dead. Right, he speaks,
-
and he speaks to us, do not be afraid. He's silencing our fear
-
because he is victorious over sin, Satan and death right, and he wants
-
to meet with us where we are at. We hope you've been blessed by
-
this message. For more information on our church, please visit as church org.
