You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. Today's message, God's message for us today here
-
in this light that we can see. Yes, it's the call to discipleship.
-
This is part two of the message that I shared last month. All
-
right. So I'll just do a very quick recap on the Book of Matthew
-
chapter twenty Eight's that was what we were studying when I was sharing the Word
-
of God last month, all right. So we shared next next light next.
-
The thing that we have shared was from verse one to the stand from
-
Matthew chapter twenty eight. Right. So we were saying about the proofs the
-
evidences of who is this Jesus Christ. Yeah, we are here the church,
-
the church, okay, the Church of Jesus Christ here, yeah,
-
and we preach Jesus all right. Just in case you're wondering what church is
-
this? What church? Exch ex church? Okay, so ex church.
-
We preach Jesus, all right, we preach Jesus Christ. And this is
-
the evidence that we are preaching, right, the evidence of Jesus' resurrection.
-
We celebrate. We come to Sunday service, we celebrate Jesus this is the
-
reason why, right, the testimony of the angels. So this is one
-
evidence, okay, and the next side, sorry, the next one.
-
The next point is his appearance himself. Jesus Christ appeared to the woman.
-
Right. Last month we were we were studying that, okay, and today
-
for part two we will be studying on verse eleven to twenty. All right,
-
more evidences of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Right where we
-
can see even the gods and Jesus adversaries were confessing, okay, of his
-
resurrection and they try to deny it. Ah, right, And yeah,
-
later we will study that and we will read more about that. And the
-
next point is also or Christ's appearances to his disciples in Galilee and the commission
-
he gave to them. All these evidences, people ask, hey, is
-
Jesus Christ real? Yes, this is the point you need to take picture,
-
you know, go for the study. Yes, all right, so
-
this is the one. Who is this Jesus Christ. Is he still real?
-
You know? He is real, so real as he is two thousand
-
years ago and today. All right, that's why we're so excited. You're
-
passionate. The Church of God is moving in this direction of preaching the word
-
of God and saying that Jesus is alive, and he is not just alife,
-
he's powerful and he's very real. As you have heard Christine shaid,
-
his her testimony is so real. Okay, real you can and if Jesus
-
can be so real to her, like to Christine and all of us as
-
well, he can be so real to you, okay, to me personally
-
as well. All right, very cool, And just a summary next night,
-
just summary of the part one last month resurrected Christ. So we were
-
saying that Jesus Christ is resurrected. He is not dead, he is alive.
-
That's why we sing songs. You know, we're excited to come to
-
church. We dress our best, we give God our best because he is
-
resurrected. And point number one, remember we say that he is the dayspring,
-
he is the bright and morning star. He is the desire of all
-
nations. And that's why we come to church on a Sunday morning right to
-
worship God, because Jesus rose at dawn. If you remember the picture I
-
showed about dawn and sunrise, right, he rose at dawn. We worship
-
God on Sunday morning. All right, first day of the week. Remember
-
that the first day of the week. Right. The second point is he
-
is victorious. Yay, he is victorious overseen Satan and death and heaven rolls
-
yay who right, we are victorious. Always be reminded every time you're going
-
through a very tough season of life, whether it's in your studies, family,
-
or work, anything at all, even political situation in the world.
-
You know, every tough time, always remember that Jesus he is victorious,
-
over seeing Satan and death. He is alive all right. And third point
-
and he and Jesus he also has compassion for his people, and he meets
-
his disciples where they are at. Remember we were saying that Jesus rose in
-
Jerusalem. He rose again back in Jerusalem, right, and he traveled all
-
the way to Galley to meet with his other disciples. He didn't just abandon
-
them. Even though the disciples abandoned him, he never abandoned them. This
-
amazing God. Right, you know, he never leaves to you. He
-
will stick to you. You know, even though you don't want him,
-
he wants you. He's after you, right, he wants you, He
-
loves you. Right. So this is just such a great encouragement and a
-
reminder of us even part one last month. Okay, so if you want,
-
you can get the recording on Yes, Spotify, Yes, Spotify,
-
Yes, Okay, next slide right, Yes, So today we're going to
-
be studying about part two. You can open your bibles to Matthew chapter twenty
-
eight, verse eleven to twenty. We will continue on this chapter study right,
-
and today's yes, and today's focus will be mainly on the call to
-
discipleship. All right. Also on the same note of our church ex church,
-
we are here having the church theme for this year Heaven rules towards the
-
finishing line. We have a mission church. We are not here every Sunday
-
come. Yes, no, we have a mission. We have a mission,
-
and we are here all together doing this together as a church. Okay.
-
So that's why we are doing. We are having this theme and studying
-
the word of God towards this right and to see how we can live our
-
lives according to what God has called us as a church. Right. Let's
-
go verse eleven. Right, So this is a time where yeah, Jesus
-
has risen from the day he has appeared to his disciples already. Now's verse
-
eleven, where the soldiers. Okay, the title of my if you see
-
your bible, right, if you see your bible above verse eleven, that's
-
a title on NKJV. My bible says the soldiers are bribe. Okay,
-
so you may have another title there. But yeah, so this is verse
-
eleven. Okay. Verse eleven. Now, while they were going day here
-
refers to the disciples. So they were going towards dani Lee. All right,
-
Behold, some of the guard came into the city in Jerusal and reported
-
to the chief priest all the things that had happened. So all the things
-
that had happened was Jesus rose from the dead, and then they saw angels.
-
I remember remember last month. I don't know how many of us as
-
I remember the situation where where the rock was sitted by the angel here right
-
here. Okay, remember, yeah, that was a very significant analogy I
-
wanted to have for us because it's very significant, all right, and yeah,
-
all these things that happened, and then there's the angel, and then
-
there was people coming you know, the earthquake. Remember, so all these
-
things, right, some gods actually went to report this to the chief priest,
-
all the things that had happened verse twelve. When they had exampled this
-
talking about the priest, when they had exampled with the elders and consulted together,
-
they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers who reported all that
-
had happened, saying, tell them his disciples came at night and stole him
-
away while we slept. Huh, okay, okay, verse fourteen. And
-
if this comes to the governor's ears, he will appease him and make make
-
you secure. Okay, we will appease him and make you secure verse fifteen.
-
So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this
-
saying is commonly reported among the Jews until today. Right, So that was
-
a how do you say? It's an evidence that cannot be how I cannot
-
be hidden. It's so obvious even the chief priests themselves. This is so
-
people say that, huh right, the chief priest and the gods actually believed.
-
I think they really do, but they just don't want this truth to
-
be out to others. So that's why they have to make a lie,
-
bribe the gods, and you know, say things that is not really makes
-
sense. Right. So if you say in verse thirteen. If the disciples
-
had actually stole Jesus's body away, well, all they slept, how can
-
they know? How can they know what happened when they slept? Right?
-
I mean this lie doesn't make sense. Okay, so it really doesn't make
-
sense. But anyway, just to let you know that there is actually evidence,
-
there is evidence of even his adversary confessing it here in this short scripture
-
from verse eleven to verse fifteen. Right, okay, let's carry on.
-
Verse sixteen. Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee. This was what
-
Jesus Christ told his disciples together to together in Galilee. This was an instruction
-
from the Lord Jesus himself. So they went to Galilee, to the mountain
-
which Jesus had appointed for them, right verse seventeen. When they saw him,
-
when he saw Jesus, Wow, he actually resurrected from the guy.
-
We saw him kneel on the cross, suffered Bruce, you know, died
-
on the cross. He is alive. They saw him, They saw him
-
with their eyes, and these are not just like one person. It's actually
-
recorded also that it's probably a few hundred people actually saw him visibly with their
-
eyes. They worshiped him, but some doubted, right they really not really
-
Jesus not, Yeah, they doubted. Okay. So there's a map here
-
next light. Yeah, so I shed this map as well last last month.
-
Right to see the distance between Jerusalem. Jerusalem is at the bottom square.
-
That's where Jesus was crucified, buried, and risen again. That's Jerusalem,
-
right, And Jesus called his disciples to meet in Galilee. That's way
-
out there. The distance is between from here to Malacca, which is about
-
two hours drive if you walk, we will be probably one day plus,
-
okay. So they had to journey to Galilee to meet Jesus on a mountain
-
there, right, because Jesus said, yes, let's gather all together.
-
And there are people Insalem in Galilee, sorry, people in Galilee there where
-
most of Jesus' ministry work was done around the area of Galilee, all right.
-
So that's why Jesus wanted to go there to meet with his disciples who
-
are all heartbroken, and you know, yeah, he wants to encourage his
-
people there, right, So he went all the way there, appeared to
-
them, encouraged them, and this was what it says in verse eighteen you
-
can change through the next light. And Jesus came and spoke to them,
-
saying, all authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth.
-
Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of
-
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to
-
observe all things that I have commanded you. And lo I am with you
-
always, even to the end of the age. Amen, yes, Amen,
-
all right, okay, cool? Next, all right, okay,
-
so sorry this very small, but not is this table I purposely put it?
-
Really I didn't. I didn't Google search this out of my own study
-
of a comparison of two spiritual kingdoms, as we can see from this scripture
-
from verse eleven to verse twenty right. So for the benefit of the audio
-
recording, I shall read the read the thing, okay, and also for
-
those who can't really see. Okay, So our method, the you know,
-
the method of the Kingdom of Heaven and Kingdom of Darkness totally different.
-
Okay. You can see even in the scripture we have read just now,
-
the method of you know, seeing the same thing. All of them saw
-
the same thing. The people of the Kingdom of darkness, and also the
-
kingdom of those people who are Jesus' enemies, and also Jesus' disciples of friends.
-
Right, all of them saw the same thing. The resurrected Christ was
-
the common thing that everyone saw. So the method of sharing this out,
-
you know, you know, they don't want they want to keep it.
-
They don't want this message to get our or more people to know, right,
-
so they try to secretly do something to hide it. Right, it's
-
secret, you know. Most of the time, I don't know, but
-
I think most of evil deeds are usually done in secret. Okay, how
-
do you know? Yeah, sometimes you are wondering, how do I know
-
certain things? Is uh evil or not? Yeah? So these are some
-
of the signs you can you can see right from the Bible. So thus
-
you know these things are done usually evil, and these evil things are usually
-
done in secret, and usually is of the wisdom of men. So right,
-
and then for uh, the kingdom of life usually is publicly known.
-
Right, it's always an we are confident that it can stand public reading,
-
very important, right, transparency right being real? Right, and it's it's
-
a wisdom of God. Right, And and you can see later later we'll
-
study further on the Kingdom of Light. Stuff all right, So the objective
-
is also very clear of the Kingdom of darkness. All they want to do
-
is to still kill and destroy, right, And the Kingdom of Light,
-
the objective is to bring life and more abundantly, okay. And the foundation
-
of the Kingdom of Darkness is all lies, all right, as you can
-
see in from verse eleven to verse fifteen. Right, it's very like they
-
just have to use lies to cover the truth. Right. However, the
-
Kingdom of Light is of truth, okay. And then the strategy of the
-
Kingdom of Darkness is usually using the easy way out. They don't want to
-
do work so hard, easy, easy to make fake news right now,
-
hear love fake news right, very easy, this type on Facebook, social
-
media. Everything's so easy now communication to the public, ease of fake news
-
with bright money. You got money just bribing the you know, easy,
-
cover everything up, No, nothing done. Whereas the strategy of the Kingdom
-
of Life is hard work. Okay, it's hard work of discipling and teaching
-
with God's presence and authority. Right. Sometimes you say hard work, I
-
don't know what is it of God? Now I'm revealing to us. The
-
Bible is revealing to us that discipling is hard work and it's a good thing.
-
It's not bad, it's not bad, it's a good thing. The
-
hard work of discipling and teaching with God's presence right and authority. Litter will
-
further study on that. And also the spirit of the Kingdom of Darkness is
-
death, the event. You know, you can really even read from verse
-
eleven to fifteen. It's all about one thing Jesus did, you know,
-
like wanting this truth to not be real and assume that he's still did so.
-
That's the spirit of the Kingdom of darkness, death and revenge. Whereas
-
the Kingdom of Light is love, where Jesus even show himself and tell them
-
that Jesus even displayed love. It wasn't written literally in this scripture, of
-
this portion of scripture, but you can really see that Jesus loves his disciples.
-
He went all the way the galley. He loves his people right,
-
and you can see the spirit of love behind that. And the authority use
-
two Okay, the Kingdom of darkness use their authority. They have authority,
-
but they use it to blame. Ay, it's the disciples for lot.
-
That's why they're gonna steal the body. Right, So that's the authority to
-
condemn or blame. Right. So every time and we do something, you
-
know, in our work, sometimes we hear things like that. You know,
-
try try to discern of that. Okay, if it's of Kingdom of
-
Darkness, try not to associate with it, okay. But let's try to
-
promote the Kingdom of Light. Okay, where here the King of Light.
-
Here authority is used to commission. So in the same time, you know,
-
Jesus didn't blame anyone of what has happened, but he used that to
-
encourage and commission his people and trusted his people to bring forth the message of
-
his resurrection. Is really amazing. He would trust even weak people like us,
-
amazing. But yet he assure us of his presence that he is with
-
us. Right next the Kingdom of Darkness. The leadership, the leadership style
-
of the Kingdom of Darkness is like Lisa, you can see in verse eleven,
-
verse eleven says in your Bible. In our Bible says here, okay,
-
some of the God came into the city and reprobably go back to the
-
yes. So verse eleven. Here you can say, some of the God
-
came into the city and reported the chief priests. So the god came to
-
the leaders. This is the style of the Kingdom of Darkness, whereas the
-
style of the leadership style of the Kingdom of Jesus came the It's a how
-
do you say, it's an exercise or it's a display of leadership servant whood
-
or seven leadership. Okay, Jesus is a severn king. He came to
-
serve right, and all of us here we are encouraged to serve the people.
-
That's around us, right. He calls us his child. We are
-
kings and princess queens, prins and kings. You know, we are of
-
royalty, right, and we are here to serve the people. That's how
-
Jesus did. He came. He didn't ask the people all the people in
-
Galilee come, come, come and Jerusalem, come worship me here. And
-
he didn't say that he went. He came. He came and spoke to
-
them. Amazing. Jesus is amazing. So I just want to draw some
-
attention to this. Comparison is very good, right, So I hope you
-
get encouraged even today. Verse eleven to verse twenty All right, let's continue
-
to focus on the scripture from verse eighteen to twenty, where the main Jesus
-
of this message is from all right, So in verse eighteen, it says,
-
and Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, all authority has been
-
given to me in heaven and on all authority. All authority means all all
-
everything has been given to Jesus Christ. You know, all authority. God
-
the Father has given this authority everything, all authority given to Jesus. Jesus
-
didn't demanded the son of God didn't demanded from the Father. Hey, I
-
want this authority. No, it was given to Jesus Christ. That's why
-
the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is very powerful. That's why the world
-
is very jealous of this name, and they use it otherwise. Right,
-
So, as believers of the Lord Jesus Christ, let's remember the power of
-
this name. This name that can raise the dead, that can heal the
-
blind, can turn water into why we sang earlier this morning, it can
-
heal the sick. You know, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ is
-
powerful, and all of us are you know, all of us who believe
-
in his name will be able to call on his name. And the Word
-
of God also says whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
-
And this is for all and each one of us. Right, all
-
authority has been given to me. So let's remember not to you misuse his
-
name in vain. Very very important. Okay, this truth. I pray
-
that this truth will really stick with us throughout this week, months and years
-
ahead. Right, always remember all authority has been given to Jesus Christ in
-
heaven and on earth. In heaven means spiritual things, right, angels,
-
you know all authority. Jesus can command the army of angels. Jesus can
-
even command even the spiritual darkness, even to hold He has the power.
-
That's why when we speak and we say the name of Jesus, we pray
-
in the name of Jesus, there is that authority. He has authority in
-
heaven and on earth also, not just in spiritual world, but also on
-
earth. On earth, what doesn't mean like the weather to their our life,
-
our bodies, animals, our creation, anything of creation. Right on
-
earth, he has the power. He has the authority. So whenever we
-
pray, we hear a lot of that simone is of pray people, praying
-
for whether even for myself, praying God, hold the rain, hold the
-
rain, God, I need to do something. Yes, God will hear
-
us. This is this is where we get our This is where the scripture
-
is relevant to us today. Jesus Christ has the power and authority in heaven
-
and on earth, all right, and we pray for the sick. Whenever
-
any of our loved ones are sick or going through something, we can pray
-
in the name of Jesus because he has the authority over heaven and in heaven
-
and on earth right. Very important, Okay, So this is something that
-
I want to share with us. Also many times even for cap Packs as
-
well. Came back testimony. I tell you, ha, Corpack testimony,
-
I tell you israelly is real. Okay, It's real. I can testify
-
many times, can say many times when we pray that I always lead my
-
children to pray in the name of Jesus. Lord, Please help me to
-
find Corpack in. I see him all so many cars, and sure enough
-
it will be a perfect spot right in front of the entrance. Man,
-
God, you can ask my husband every time my driver, I should have
-
got come power, should go come on, really, power Jesus. Jesus
-
is great man. He knows our every need. Okay, even to the
-
smallest of it. Yeah, God is so good. Yeah. Okay.
-
Next, like verse nineteen, go therefore and make disciples, So Jesus is
-
speaking to his disciples here up on the mountain of Galilee. Go and make
-
disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
-
the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Okay, go, you see this
-
word. Go Jesus don't just live his life for himself. Jesus lives his
-
life for all of us to see to and to follow. So and then
-
Jesus says, go, he don't expect us to have the world coming to
-
us. We go, We go as he has went. Right. That's
-
why we are talking about missions. Go, you know, go for missions,
-
because this is the command of the Lord. Go, go out go.
-
Yeah. When we go, we have to go out of our comfort
-
zone. That's why here Jesus reminds us, go and make disciples. Okay,
-
go therefore and make disciples of all nations. This is the version of
-
NKG, the New King James version. I was comparing it with the King
-
James version because it's probably it's closest to the original script. Right. So
-
in the King James version you can also check right, go it says in
-
verse nineteen in the King James version, go ye therefore and teach all nations.
-
There's no disciples there, right. So I'm like, hey, how
-
come I why like that? Okay? So I went to study the word
-
teach, right, and it says in the uh in the in in Greek,
-
where teach means methi, theos, methi theo, which means I think.
-
Next like yes, where it means to be a disciple of one,
-
one that will be receiving the teaching to follow his percepts or instructions. And
-
the second one is to make disciples, meaning to say one must be taught
-
and that same person will also teach. That it's called teach. Will you
-
always not teaching? Only teach? In this case it's not right. This
-
word is so rich, right, is one to be taught and and the
-
same person to teach? Ah? So God in and out input, God
-
output. Okay. So that's why in the new King James version says that
-
go and make disciples of all nations, right, and so yes, yes,
-
oh yes, I want to share with us. Also, I was
-
reading a few versions, a few versions of the Bible here, so that's
-
not what's King James version, right. I was also reading the amplified version
-
of this specific yeah sentence all right, this verse right, and it says
-
there to help the people to learn of me, believe in me, and
-
obey my words. So this is what it means to make disciples, to
-
help people, to help the people to learn of me, believe in me,
-
and obey my words. That's why here in ex Church we have this
-
mission to help people believe. Y y, that makes sense right now everything
-
I see the jigsaw puzzle now, yes, okay, the Word of God
-
says in verse here, in verse nineteen, go and make disciples of all
-
nations. Why because we are here to be receiving or to be disciples,
-
and at the same time we help people believe. Right in the amplified version
-
says here again, help people to learn of me, which is Jesus,
-
and believe in Jesus and obey his words. Right. So this is what
-
we are called to do as what ex Church mission is as well, helping
-
people believe right, Yes, discipleship is also about follow me as I follow
-
Christ right, so important? Okay, all right, and let's continue.
-
Yes, and before one before one person can teach, that person must first
-
receive. We can't teach something we don't know. A very good example is
-
my husband, Andrew, the Chafferson for today. He loves to bake,
-
right, and one of the good things that he loves to bait is the
-
sour dough bread. Okay, So if y'all know baker sour dough bread,
-
I tell you it's a process that I think he learned it like quite quite
-
some time. He even googled it. He bought books so expensive, the
-
book, and he had to practice it. There were many times that he
-
failed, Yes, many times failure, but he try again, try again,
-
try another method. Some some failures are meant to teach us that that
-
is not the way to do it. So it's a good thing, right,
-
and we try another methods. So that's what Andrew di it. And
-
he came out with. Oh when he was successful, he was so happy.
-
He was sharing it with several of us, and I'm sure some of
-
us had the benefit of just tasting a tower door bread. Wow. So
-
and not only that he learned it while he was so happy he learned it
-
already. He actually shared it in my mother in law and he also she
-
also tried to beaate with it as well. So it's it's just an amazing
-
journey. I'm sure in every one of our lives as well, we have
-
we have probably learned something and we were so happy about it, and we
-
shared it with others as well. Right. So similarly, similarly, when
-
we study about who Jesus Christ is and when we experience it in our life,
-
it works, yes, and we share it, we disciple it with
-
others, we share it, we pass it on, and we you know,
-
continue to see that multiply. They're experiencing Jesus Christ and it works for
-
them and they continue to share. So this is what Jesus is trying to
-
teach us to go and make disciples. Okay, verse twenty, let's continue
-
on next light, verse twenty, teaching them to observe all things that I
-
have commanded you, and lo I am with you always even to the end
-
of the age. By the way, the word low, therefore, young
-
people, law is not as cerning for anyone, right, not low?
-
Okay. I was also studying a bit about lowest low English are very okay,
-
so dictionaritish me. That law means to pay attention, okay, to
-
the next what it's going to say? Right, bring your attention to what
-
is next? Right? So very good this one okay, So before that,
-
teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you observe let's uh
-
I uh, yes, observe the Greek? Okay, before that, next
-
light? What's the next? Yes, next light? Observe, right,
-
observe, observe in uh. This word is calledterial material. It talks about
-
all things that I have commanded. Okay, material observe observe means to apply
-
observing his word in our everyday lives. Right. That means to really take
-
the word of God and apply it and observe it, keep it, and
-
to watch it. Make sure that we live our everyday lives according to his
-
word. For example, we here in extrach we really literally take this word
-
observe very seriously. For example, was sharing the other day, right that
-
songwriting and even recording of songs is also part of discipleship. We want to
-
do everything as far as a form of discipleship. So even songwriting, recording,
-
right, even in serving serving as dream teams. All these forms of
-
discipleship, we will get to be discipled by those who have been given the
-
authority to even share and you know, be the best that we can give
-
God our best right right, and also for example, campus community outreach,
-
we have to come out of our comfort zone. It's not easy for Christine,
-
I'm sure, to say no to or to make time to, to
-
really make time to go for a community. That's discipleship, right, doing
-
all things to observe God's teaching in our everyday lives. Right, we have
-
campus revel, recess, revel, revel at work. We talk about this
-
about bringing the love of Christ to the community around us, keep praying,
-
listening and obeying what God wants us to do in our in our lives right,
-
whether is it at home, in our campuses, in our workplaces,
-
right, campus revel. Even raising up our kids, that's also discipleship.
-
We have we do this. We disciple our kids right before we disciple our
-
kids. We are first disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Here in the
-
church, we we we are disciples even having been in the huddle relationship,
-
being discipled by our leaders. Right. For example, even for myself.
-
Doctor Jill is my disciple, right, we are in a huddle relationship.
-
She speaks God's word over me and I also receive it, and I learned
-
to disciple. Of course my kids as well, not just the girls under
-
my cat, also my kids. Right. Even as doctor Jill follow Christ,
-
right, I follow her right. Even as I follow Christ, my
-
kids follow me or the girls my homies follow me. Right. So this
-
is how we do it. Okay, next night, Okay, So just
-
sharing some quotes from our founding senior Pastor Pasta Kenneth Chin, Reverend can Chine.
-
Okay, I'm gonna quote some of his amazing quotes on discipleship because discipleship
-
is very, very important, and it's also very close to Pastor Kenneth's heart
-
and also to act Church. So when we do, it's not just another
-
program, it's not just another event for just a moment, but a lifestyle.
-
Literally. I've been with doctor Jill since I first came to a church
-
in ex church like many when I was first year in my UNI until today.
-
I have kids already, and you know, she has journying with me.
-
It's not just two weeks, it's not just one month. It's my
-
entire life. Right. Discipling is a progress, it's a process, it's
-
a lifestyle. Right. So just quoting some of the quotes from Reverence,
-
Chemistry, our foundings in your pasta. It's possible to be a leader without
-
being a disciple, but it's not possible to be a disciple without being a
-
leader. Okay. It took me a while to really grasp this chode.
-
Okay, but you can take a picture and you know, think about it.
-
It's very true. When I think about it, it's true. You're
-
right. We can be a leader, a leader, just a normal leader.
-
It's possible to be not to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.
-
We can see that in the world around us, right, But it's
-
not possible to be a disciple without being a leader. Meaning to say,
-
yes, when we become a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, we we
-
are thought. We are taught, right, we are taught. Okay,
-
we're taught the word of God. At the same time, we are meant
-
to teach others. So when we teach others or disciple others, the person
-
that we are teaching follow us after us. So that makes us a leader.
-
It's like not, how do you say? It's not like, yes,
-
you must be a leader. No, but it's it's it's what it
-
is right. Because Jesus has called us to go. When we call to
-
go to make disciples, there is this thing called like a leadership spirit that
-
is within us that we want to teach, right, teach and the others
-
follow after. Right? So yes, okay, so think about it,
-
right, Okay, next night. The success of disciple ship is not just
-
in what is taught, but what is caught. So so true, very
-
true. All right. So this is also another of Reverend Kennon's chain,
-
pasta Kenna chain, we call him. Right, there's this picture of amazing
-
series. Okay, you guys just gotta catch it on YouTube. You can
-
have it on his uh you can subscribe to his yes to his uh social
-
media. Yeah, okay, a lot of good stuff there. Okay.
-
So yes, whatever that is taught is very important, but whatever is caught
-
is even more important. That is the success of discipleship. Okay, next
-
night. Right, And he says this as well. Too many one to
-
study, too few want to follow. True discipleship is not about knowing more,
-
It's about doing more. With what you know. Many believers think they
-
know the basics, too few actually live them. Hah. Okay, this
-
one says it all way. Everything is everything he said already, right,
-
so, and even you can see a passa Cana's life. You know,
-
he is also living it out, not just telling all of us to be
-
disciples of all nations, but he is literally doing it. And he has
-
this vision of the decade of legacy that he wants to live his life.
-
So he's been doing a lot to disciple the next generation, right, amazing.
-
I am very inspired by Pasacana's life, and I'm sure that this will
-
inspire you as well. Okay, next, all right, So that's Extrich
-
doing the first two lines, right, teaching them to observe all things that
-
I've commanded you, right, and Lo I am with you always. That's
-
why I mentioned just now right Low, it's not a surname. It's an
-
English term to draw your attention to the next phrase, that is after Low.
-
Okay, lo I am with you always, even to the end of
-
the age. Okay, who is this you? I am with you?
-
Who is this Jesus Christ? This is the Jesus Christ who has all the
-
authority in heaven and on earth. Okay, he was given to him.
-
So we are reminded that this person is with us even as we disciple others,
-
and we are not alone. Right, A very good analogy. I
-
like this analogy. Next like, it's like this policeman. Okay, a
-
bit dark, but I can I really say, yeah, you can see
-
this policeman. He may be as small as Anderson. Okay, if he
-
is a policeman. He is a policeman. Authority is given to the policeman
-
to stop the largest truck ever, or largest vehicle you can ever imagine,
-
even transformer, you can even stop anyway, a vehicle, okay, vehicle,
-
and even the most luxurious car. Also, policeman can stop. Correct,
-
everybody had to stop, and policeman says stop means stop, go means
-
go. He has the authority. Similarly, all of us are given the
-
authority as well as Jesus has commissioned all of us go. Right, he
-
has said go. He is with us. His authority in heaven and on
-
earth has also been commissioned to us to do what he has called us to
-
do. Always remember this picture, this policeman with the big truck. Okay,
-
every time you feel afraid to pray for somebody, remember this picture Policeman
-
and the big truck. He is with us. He is with us.
-
Every time when somebody comes against you about the Christian religion, always remember the
-
policeman and the big drug. Okay. Yes, every time you're facing something
-
that you know deep in your heart the Holy Spirit is prompting you to do,
-
whether is it to start a prayer group or to pray for your manager,
-
to pray for somebody that you feel challenged to pray, but you know
-
in your heart you need to do it. Remember policeman and the big drug.
-
Jesus is with you, okay, right, the resurrector Christ is with
-
you. Very good, Okay. Today's message very short only okay. Next
-
life you're ending already, Okay, take a one point there. You can
-
take pictures of this like this is taken on point, meditating on it over
-
the week. Right. This is the call to discipleship, exchange. This
-
is the call to discipleship because the time of famine is coming soon. Time
-
of famine means a time of the lack of the Word of God is coming
-
soon. The famine is coming soon, and this is the time of plenty,
-
and we are really one thing, all of us to glean to to
-
really store every good thing that you hear every Sunday today at homes, even
-
in your quiet time story within your heart because the time of famine is coming
-
soon. And also a call to a deeper learning, you know, discipleship.
-
Discipleship is not just about teaching, but it's also about learning. Right.
-
Remember he said the person needs to learn fir us before it can teach,
-
right, And this learning is probably not going to be in a classroom,
-
is probably going to be one that is deeper in a way where we
-
observe the living, observed living, like how doctor J and I have been
-
doing this discipleship, right, I observe it's a learning process, a it's
-
a lifestyle. It's no longer in a classroom anymore. Right, it's a
-
call to a deeper learning discipleship so that we can be storehouses in times of
-
famine. Don't wait until famine come. Oh no, my storehouse is empty.
-
What am I gonna do? I want to go to other storehouse to
-
grab Oh maybe they all don't may not have enough for themselves. Oh what
-
about my storehouse? Yes, so now is the time I've been hearing a
-
lot of these warnings that has been called, has been prophesied over the church
-
over Malaysia, that famine is coming soon. Church, so please take it
-
seriously. Really, let's get into a discipleship relationship. So the way is
-
to be in a serious discipleship relationship in the church, especially here in ex
-
Church, where we really take discipleship very seriously and we literally live it out.
-
