  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex Church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. How many of you, as ex Church partners,

  3. know, what is the theme of ex Church this year? Shout it

  4. out to me that all may know. That's right. So every year in

  5. ex Church, God gives us a specific theme for the year. And that

  6. theme doesn't just guide our church, you know, as a whole, but

  7. it also guides our personal lives as well. And so this year, the

  8. theme that God has given ex Church is that all may know, that all

  9. may know Christ is the Savior. Amen, all right? And so today

  10. I'm going to be sharing God's word in line with the theme of our church.

  11. And the title of God's message today is obey that God, that God,

  12. Sorry, We're right, obey that all may know. And so I

  13. was very encouraged when I heard Isaiah's testimony because his testimony speaks about obedience.

  14. He may have started with a desire to further his masters, but he had

  15. many obstacles along the way, and he had a choice whether to obey God

  16. or not. But when he obeyed God, God opened crazy doors of favor

  17. for him. He didn't just receive a scholarship, but his company offered to

  18. pay for his masters. I'm like, wow, that's a double blessing.

  19. It's normally either or none. I rarely hear of people getting a scholarship and

  20. their company to top it, you know, up somemore. So when we

  21. obey, God opens doors of crazy favor and blessing for us. And can

  22. I hear an amen? Amen? Okay? So this is the title of

  23. God's message for us today, obey that all may know. Okay. Now

  24. today we are having our children join us for our worship service. We normally

  25. do this twice a month, so like last week we had our ex kids

  26. worship service, but this week we're having our children sit in with us.

  27. So for our new friends, I hope that you can listen to me even

  28. through you know, the joyful sounds that they come from our children from time

  29. to time. Okay, But I believe we can do this, and it's

  30. great to have a family worshiping together. I believe in the olden days.

  31. In the olden days, there was no such thing as children ministry or teen's

  32. ministry or campus ministry, but everyone worshiped a lot together in the Temple of

  33. God. Young and old. So what we're doing now is what the children

  34. of God used to do in the days of old, and the people will

  35. listen to the sounds that would come, you know, from our children and

  36. listen to the word of God. So I believe if they can do it

  37. back, then we can do it today. To amen. Amen. Okay,

  38. So today I will try to speak simpler and slower to have our children

  39. understand as well. And my slides are going to be a little bit more,

  40. you know, kit friendly. So adults bear with me. But for

  41. all who have a kid in you, God bless you. Okay, all

  42. right, let's go now. Today's message is going to be inspired by a

  43. true story that happened in my life over the past twenty years but has culminated

  44. over the past one week. All right, So I'm gonna start sharing this

  45. true story, and for those of you who want to listen, be attention,

  46. and towards the end of my story, I will share with us for

  47. learning points. Okay, now here we go, So, children, what

  48. picture is this school? Who goes to school? Yes? All right,

  49. okay, I see teacher Maria raise her hands as well. Yes, okay,

  50. I was talking to the children. But well done. Teacher. Maria.

  51. Maria's a teacher in elc here, okay, who loves school children.

  52. Okay, let's enthusiastic, but still okay, all right, So I too

  53. went to school many years ago. Wow, hallelujah. I never remember how

  54. many years ago I started high school. But basically, I too went to

  55. school, Okay. And during my high school I had a good friend by

  56. the name of Chinchin. Yeah, everyone say Chinchin. Yeah, okay,

  57. Chinching, Yes, that's the name of my good friend in high school.

  58. And why were we good friends? Next, It's because we were part of

  59. the same softball team in school. How many of you here you know what

  60. softball is as a sport and as a game. Okay? How many of

  61. you here have played softball before? Wow? Awesome? Okay, okay,

  62. So for those of you who don't know, softball is actually a sport,

  63. it's a professional sport and game. And contrary to the name softball, which

  64. sounds soft, it's not soft. Okay, It's like baseball. How many

  65. of you know baseball? Yeah? I think more of you know baseball.

  66. So softball is like baseball. The ball is hard, and the stick or

  67. the bat to hit the ball it's also hard, so it's a misnormal.

  68. It's not a soft It's not soft at all. So my school was famous

  69. for a top softball team in those days. Yes, we were reigning champions

  70. for many years. And so when I joined my high school, I joined

  71. my school softball team, and ching Jin also joined my school softball team.

  72. And from from one to from five we played for our school in our softball

  73. team, to the point that in from five she was the captain and I

  74. was the vice captain. She was the pitcher, I was the catcher.

  75. Yeah, we were close, okay. Not only that we were in the

  76. same sports house, yellow house. Anybody from yellow house here? Oh awesome,

  77. awesome, Well I love it. Our new friends, we've got connections.

  78. Yeah, softball, yellow house, Yes, okay. So I was

  79. from the yellow house of my school, very proud of it. Yes,

  80. And she was also from our yellow house. She was I think the house

  81. captain. I was the treasurer or something like that. Yeah, sell,

  82. same house. Not only that we were in the same class for five years.

  83. Yes, we grew up in the same class, and so we basically

  84. grew up together and we played together, right, We laughed together, we

  85. cried together, we got muddy together. Yeah, those days when we play

  86. softball, right, I remember just one training exercise was in the rain and

  87. all of us had to run in the rain and slide in the mud.

  88. That itself was a training for us because we had to practice how to slide

  89. in the mud, because sliding to the nearest base gets us to the nearest

  90. base faster than running to it. Yeah, so so we got muddy together.

  91. Yes, we want together, lost together. We did live together.

  92. And you know, she was she was. She was misspopular in school.

  93. She was a sportswoman of the school. She was head of the interet club.

  94. Uh, you know, she was just popular and I did well.

  95. On the other end of studies, I was taught student. I was hate

  96. prefect. And so if you put us together, we would make I guess

  97. that perfect student one room, that he was good in everything, study,

  98. sports, you know, social discipline, everything. So we were like,

  99. wow, you know, the power duo in that sense. But the I

  100. guess one key difference was she was not a believer and I was. And

  101. I had the privilege to know Christ at a younger age compared to her.

  102. But you know, God's timing is really perfect and beautiful and you will understand

  103. why as I share this story with you. Okay, So, now,

  104. after we we ended high school next picture, we actually went our separate ways.

  105. Okay. Anybody can guess the country shown in this man? Children children,

  106. children were children, can guess what country is shown in this man.

  107. Malaysia, that's right, that's right. Okay, this is half of Malaysia.

  108. Okay, Malaysia has two parts, So this is where's Malaysia. And

  109. so I forgot to mention that our school was in the tip of Malaysia called

  110. Joho Barru. It's just above Singapore. Everyone knows Singapore, not everyone knows

  111. Joho Barru, although it's just two kilometers away from each other. So were

  112. our school was in Joho barh Room. And after we finished high school,

  113. guess what, My family moved to Malacca and I came to KL to study.

  114. I did my college here, I did my university here, I started

  115. work here, I found my life partner here and got married and the rest

  116. is history. So I've been in KL for many many years now, and

  117. Ching Ching moved to Singapore instead. Yeah, and she's remained in Singapore since

  118. her college days. She also studied in university, found her life partner there,

  119. got married, you know, continue all with life in Singapore. So

  120. you can imagine after high school we really parted ways. Yeah, and yeah,

  121. we kind of lost touch actually for many years after that, and even

  122. as we were, I guess, going on with our own lives. I

  123. remember a mutual friend of ours once told me that Changing's mom actually passed away

  124. in a tragic car accident in Singapore. So Chinching's mom was visiting Changing in

  125. her UNI days and as she was crossing the road, a careless driver actually

  126. hit and ran her, and she passed away on the spot. And Chinchin

  127. was devastated because her mom came to visit her and her mom lost her life.

  128. So when I heard that news, my heart was crushed as well,

  129. and I wanted to reach out to her to comfort her, but a part

  130. of me was like, but Jill, you haven't been in touch with her

  131. for so long, you know. Yeah, So I felt a bit awkward

  132. to reap connect with her all though such a tragic thing that happened in her

  133. life, and so I pulled back. I pulled back because of fear,

  134. because I was I felt bad or guilty, like we weren't in touch for

  135. a long time, and here I am suddenly reaching out to her, and

  136. so I left it that this is definitely one regret that I have. So

  137. if I could rewind my life to that point, I would now take that

  138. step of faith to reach out to her and not, you know, pull

  139. back because I felt fearful and I don't know who I'm speaking to here today,

  140. but maybe you know for some of us here, God is, God

  141. is calling us to do something in our lives, and it requires us to

  142. step out of our comfort zones. Don't be afraid, because when we're afraid,

  143. we will pull back. But have faith in God and reach forth for

  144. what you're supposed to pursue because it could really change things and make things very

  145. different. Okay, you know in meths, I'm not a meths specialist.

  146. I know what is modern medicine. I know what is additional meths. I

  147. know what is modern maths. I know it's additional maths. I have no

  148. idea what is financial maths. Okay, I say, I say it,

  149. But you know in meths, have you all studied degrees? Degrees? You

  150. have studied degrees? Right, Okay, So it's all the angle. The

  151. angle between two lines is basically called degrees, right, and one degree can

  152. look very small, but when you extrapolate the two lines far out, you

  153. know, it actually increases a lot. So it's the same right now,

  154. taking that one step or not taking that one step could seem very small,

  155. but you ever know the ripple effect of it in years to come. So,

  156. friends, I don't know who I'm speaking to, but if God is

  157. calling you to do something out of faith, please do it. Don't pull

  158. back like me out of fear and have regrets later on. Okay, all

  159. right, but I want to say that although we may fail the first time

  160. and we can have regrets, God is a god of second chances. Amen,

  161. But let's let's try and do it right the first time. But even

  162. if we don't, Okay, God is merciful. We try to see second

  163. chances for us, but we don't know whether it will always happen, right,

  164. Okay, So let's move on to the next part. Okay, in

  165. the next slight Okay, this so this this was this was when changing laws

  166. her mom. Yeah, so changing definitely felt devastated. I felt really really

  167. sad for as well. Yeah, Okay, next we move on. Okay,

  168. two years ago that will be twenty twenty two. I had a dream

  169. about Chinching, So this is close to like twenty years of not seeing her

  170. and being in touch with her. God gave me a dream about Chinching and

  171. that dream was about us reconnecting, and she was actually somewhere in KL And

  172. in that dream, I dreamt that I had asked her to visit X church

  173. with me. Yeah, so that was the summary of the dream. Chinchin

  174. and I were reconnected in KL and I even asked her to hey, would

  175. you like to visit EX church with me? And then the dream ended.

  176. And I believe that dream was significant, and I felt that God wanted me

  177. to reconnect with Chinchin in twenty twenty two. But again I was like,

  178. hmm, God, I have not been in touch with her for so long.

  179. I think it'll be a bit weird and awkward to sally reconnect, and

  180. so I put it off again. Can you believe it? Yeah? So

  181. God is a god of not just second chances, but third chances and beyond.

  182. So I put it off again. Okay, in twenty twenty two.

  183. At that point when I had the first dream about Chinching. But again,

  184. God is so merciful. No matter how many times we put something off and

  185. we fail to respond in the way He wants us to, he continues to

  186. give us chances after chances of the chances. A few months later, I

  187. had another dream about Chinching, and in his dream, God showed me a

  188. little bit more so. In this dream, I dreamt that I was actually

  189. in with her. Yes, so now I was down south, and I

  190. dreamt that we were I was bringing her to church at night. So we

  191. were driving in my car and I remember asking her, Hey, how are

  192. you Chinching. You know, it's been so long since we reconnected, and

  193. so we were chatting, and in the dream I felt led to ask her

  194. about her marriage. So I asked her, Chinching, how are you and

  195. he day doing? So that's the name of her husband and uh and he

  196. actually is a childhood friend as well. We all went to the same fusion

  197. class together, and so I was asking, hey, so, how how

  198. are you doing with him? You know? And in the dream, I

  199. remember she turned and looked at me and she told me that actually was struggling.

  200. My marriage is struggling, And that was very clear. And then the

  201. dream ended, I woke up and I knew without a shadow of a doubt.

  202. Okay, God, I've got to reconnect me ching ching, Now you're

  203. spoken loud and clear. There's no way I can have the same dream about

  204. the same person, so clearly. Once maybe coincidence, although I knew it

  205. wasn't. But second time, Oh, it's loud and clear. So any

  206. of you, if you've been having recurrent dreams, please ask God what he's

  207. trying to say to you. Dreams are a way that God speaks to us.

  208. Yeah, and so ask the Lord for his revelation. And not only

  209. that, ask the Lord God, how should I respond to what you're telling

  210. me? True my dreams? Because every revelation is meant to invoke a response.

  211. So whenever we come to church and we receive a revelation of God,

  212. or in a quiet time, or as we live life, please don't just

  213. stop at receiving revelations, but do something about the revelations that you receive.

  214. Revelations are meant to invoke responses. Okay, God is a god of response.

  215. He's not just a god of theory. He's a practical God as well.

  216. Okay, let's close the learning loop, right, and so I was

  217. like, okay, God, I want to reconnect your changing. I know

  218. I have to. The dream was very significant. How do I do it

  219. was the next question. Because I don't have a handful number. We really

  220. lost touch. We got busy with life and all. And then suddenly the

  221. Holy Spirit say, hey, why don't you search her up on Facebook because

  222. I we do follow each other, and you know, so I'm like,

  223. oh, yeah, a Facebook. Okay. So I used messenger on Facebook

  224. to actually message Changing, and I told her, hey, Changing, you

  225. know, I know it's been so long, but I had a dream about

  226. you recently, or two dreams, and I felt that we should reconnect,

  227. and so and she was surprised. She was surprised, and she agreed.

  228. She said, yes, okay, let's reconnect. And so we exchange our

  229. WhatsApp numbers and we continue our conversation on WhatsApp. And she told me that

  230. she was surprised at the timing that I messaged her because she was going through

  231. a tough time in her life. And just a few weeks ago, she

  232. was traveling in Italy and she had gone to a cathedral in Italy and she

  233. had prayed and asked God, God I don't know what to do. Could

  234. you please send me some help. This was a few weeks ago before we

  235. reconnected, and so she was wondering, hmm, could this be like an

  236. answered prayer? And so we chatted further and caught up, and then I

  237. shared about the dreams and she told me that, Wow, Jill, I

  238. cannot believe that you had those dreams because that's what I am going through exactly.

  239. She told me that I'm in the midst of getting a divorce with my

  240. husband. Things have not been good at all, and she broke down.

  241. She broke down as we continue to converse on the phone, and my heart

  242. broke as well for her because I knew that they were childhood sweethearts and they

  243. had a little girl, very cute girl, and so my heart just broke

  244. for her and her girl to have to go through this. But anyway,

  245. I tried my best as the Holy Spirit led to encourage her to pray with

  246. her. They still went on with the divorce, Yeah, but she found

  247. some comfort in you know, our conversation and the prayers and the reconnection,

  248. and so after that she tried to just you know, rebuild her life after

  249. the divorce, and that was end of twenty twenty two, and twenty twenty

  250. three came and we both got busy with life, so we went in so

  251. close touch. And then twenty twenty four came, which is this year.

  252. And last Saturday we had our Salt which is our Saturday X Leadership training,

  253. which yeah, and so once a month our leaders in X church will come

  254. together for a time of training so that we can actually serve our church better.

  255. And so last Saturday, during Salt our training, we had a warmer

  256. activity and leaders, can you remember what was the warmer activity? Message a

  257. friend on our phone book? So all the leaders had to firstly pray and

  258. then after that look at our phone book and see who God leads us to

  259. message on the spot. So all of us took out our phones and then

  260. we message someone on the spot saying that, hey, you know I just

  261. talked about you. How are you? Is there anything I could pray for

  262. you? And as I was asking God, okay, God, who do

  263. you want me to message on my phone book? Straight away Ching Ching's name

  264. came up. But then again I had my own reasonings, like God,

  265. we are supposed to have deeper conversations. Over the next one month, how

  266. on earth am I going to have deep conversations with her when she's in Singapore.

  267. I'm here. Online is not the best. Face to face is better.

  268. So why don't I message someone closer to me? Maybe my neighbor,

  269. you know, maybe my family member goes around town. But I had the

  270. idea that I have to meet the person face to face to have a deeper

  271. conversation that will lead to salvation. I was thinking, I got Singapore still

  272. a bit fartherer God, so again, I'm still a human growing in the

  273. lot amen. But then God brought her name back and over again. I

  274. couldn't brush it off. I'm like, okay, God, I will do

  275. it. I will obey. So I messaged her at the start of our

  276. training. There was about maybe one thirty pm last Saturday, and before we

  277. ended our training at three o'clock, she messaged me back and she told me,

  278. Jill, I cannot believe that you are messaging me at such a timing

  279. again. And so we continued the conversation after that, and she told me

  280. that actually now she's going through a really tough time at work, really really

  281. tough time, to the point that she might leave her current job and to

  282. me, it's big because here is a single mom as trying to take care

  283. of her daughter and to not have that sense of stability or peace at work.

  284. It's a big thing. And so I tried to encourage her and pray

  285. for her as the spirit led. And the very next day in the afternoon,

  286. I got a text from Chinching and she told me that in summary,

  287. she had actually gone to church that Sunday morning, which was last Sunday morning.

  288. So our training was last Saturday afternoon, last Sunday morning. Ching Ching

  289. went to church in Singapore. Now she went, and she told me she

  290. went to church. She I was like, wow, that's great. Yeah,

  291. because she has been going to church on and off for the past one

  292. year, but just on and off once in a while. And each time

  293. she goes to church, the minister would actually ask at the end of the

  294. worship service who would like to accept Jesus into their hearts? And she would

  295. always have a struggle internally on accepting Jesus because she questioned God saying, why

  296. did you take someone so precious away from me my mom? Remember Ching Ching's

  297. mom passed away in a tragic car accident many years ago when she was in

  298. Uni, and that was something she could not let go off. So she

  299. wrestled with God, like, if you're really God, and you know you

  300. love me and your great why did you allow this to happen. Couldn't you

  301. have saved her? Couldn't you have prevented this from happening? Right? And

  302. this is very real for her. I mean, she she lost her mom

  303. in the early days, and she's you know, divorced from my husband,

  304. and she's not on the brink of, you know, not having a job.

  305. But then something happened that Sunday morning. Let me get my phone out

  306. and I'm going to read you the exact message that she sent to me.

  307. So this is what changing texted me. Yes, I always hesitated at the

  308. end of the service when I was asked to receive Christ into my life.

  309. But He has shown me how He has been there for me during the difficult

  310. times in my life, especially directly through you. I'm truly blessed and loved

  311. by him. I want to open myl and receive him wholeheartedly. Thank you

  312. Jill for connecting me to him. So, my friend Chin Chin has accepted

  313. Jesus into her heart and I am still trying to digest. All that has

  314. happened is happened so fast over many years. But yeah, I'm still trying

  315. to digest. But this is the God that we serve. And the past

  316. one week, I've been texting her almost on a daily basis to help her

  317. to grow in her faith because she was asking me where do I go from

  318. here now? So she was asking me how do I pray? So I've

  319. been trying to help her to learn how to pray to God. She asked

  320. me, is it like talking to my father? I say yes, but

  321. I say, don't just talk, listen to him as well. Yeah,

  322. and she asked how do I read the Word of God? So I guide

  323. her to download the app. And I'm in the midst of looking for a

  324. physical Bible to give to her personally. And so even yesterday I asked,

  325. Jiji, are you going to change tomorrow? And she say yea, yeah,

  326. yah, I'm gonna go. And I told her, Hey, you

  327. got to speak to a leader in church and let them know that you have

  328. just accepted Christ so that they can help you get connected and also grow in

  329. your faith. So I'm in the in the midst of helping her to grow

  330. as a new babe in Christ. And the amazing thing is next month I'm

  331. supposed to I've been invited to go down to Singapore to do a training with

  332. our church. They're XK Singapore, so they invited Linettes, which is the

  333. suicide prevention organization that I coordinate. So I'm going to go down to do

  334. a mental health workshop for our leaders in x Singapore. And that's when I'm

  335. going to squeeze in time to meet Ching Chin and finally reconnect in person.

  336. But you know, God can't wait for me to reconnect in person to save

  337. her. He does it in his way and timing. So don't ever let

  338. this suns or timing determine the salvation of your love. Ones. Nothing is

  339. impossible for God, really true, nothing is impossible for God. And I

  340. give God all the glory. And I'm still digesting, like I said,

  341. really changing, you know, salvation journey, and I know that she's going

  342. to be a powerful vessel for God. You know, she's someone that is

  343. charismatic, she's someone who is influential. I believe that God has a great

  344. purpose and destiny for her, and I'm really proud to be part of that

  345. journey. Yeah, and I give got all the glory for her salvation.

  346. Amen. Amen. Okay, Now, even as we are going to draw

  347. to a close in a while, I just want to share with us for

  348. learning points from this story. And they all start with the letter oh yeah,

  349. everyone say, oh yeah, okay, all right, so the first

  350. Oh, it's origin. Everyone say Origin. That's right, Okay, what

  351. does this mean? Now? Many times, right when we think of the

  352. salvation of our love ones, we think that we have to be the ones

  353. to start that salvation journey for them. Sometimes we feel we are fully responsible

  354. for the salvation journey of our love ones, that if we don't start thinking

  355. about it, if we don't start praying about it, if we don't start

  356. doing something about it, their salvation is not going to kickstart. But I'm

  357. here to say that the salvation journey of our love ones do not start with

  358. us. It origins with God. God is the starter and the finisher of

  359. every soul. We are just his vessel part of the journey. So I

  360. hope those of you who feel maybe like quite burdened and pressured, like,

  361. oh, it's got to be me that has got to kickstart this salvation journey.

  362. Please, it's not our responsibility. It's God's responsibility. Okay, let's

  363. look at Genesis chapter twelve, verse one to three. Okay, so here

  364. we go. I'm going to read a scripture out for us. Now,

  365. the Lord has said to Abraham, get out of your country, from your

  366. family, and from your father's house, to a land that I will show

  367. you. I will make you a great nation. I will bless you and

  368. make your name great, and you shall be a blessing. I will bless

  369. those who bless you, and I will curse him who curse you. And

  370. in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Amen.

  371. And so this is what we commonly know as the Abrahamic call, and this

  372. is the very origin of the nation of Israel. And I want to just

  373. point out here these two words families of family and the word blessed. Now,

  374. God says right in Abraham, all the families of the earth shall be

  375. blessed. Okay. Do you know that the word families here also mean nations,

  376. nations, nations, And so God already unveiled the end that he wants

  377. to see all the nations of the earth be blessed. But do you know

  378. what is the meaning of blessed. It's not just receiving something great and feeling

  379. all good about it. One of the meanings of blessed is this, can

  380. you still see me? What am I doing now? I am kneeling.

  381. This is what blessed means in when we talk about humanly, when we are

  382. blessed, it means that we have received so much from God that we can't

  383. help but to kneel before him and give him thanks and praise. That's a

  384. human perspective or blessing, but do you know that it applies to God as

  385. well. A God's perspective of being blessed or blessing humans is that he would

  386. come down to our level. Imagine, I represent God. Okay, just

  387. in this drama and skit and Adi is human? Hiadi? How are you

  388. doing? Is there anything I can help you with? Okay, you guys

  389. get the big You're right. That is our God. When he says he

  390. blesses us, he comes down to our level because there's no way we can

  391. reach him, and he asks us, how are you doing, my child?

  392. How can I help you? Today? So when God says in you

  393. Abraham, all the families of the earth shall be blessed paraphrasing, he's saying,

  394. and in you, all the nations of the earth shall come to know

  395. me, because when God comes down to us, we will know him.

  396. Amen. And so God is showing here that it is his idea for salvation

  397. to take place for every life on earth. It is his idea. So

  398. never ever think that it's our idea that someone in our lives get saved.

  399. It's God's idea. We are his instruments. Amen. So always remember salvation

  400. journey starts origins with God. Amen. Okay, next point, Oh wait,

  401. I have a Okay, So for every point I have a heart check

  402. for you. Remember, our God is not just a god of theory,

  403. He's a god of practical Today you may be receiving different revelations, but I

  404. don't want you to just go home with revelations. I want you to go

  405. home with responses because it's responses that bring about change, not revelation alone.

  406. Friends, So here's one way to respond. Ask yourself this question. This

  407. is a every time you see a heart picture, here is a heart check

  408. for each of us, myself included. Who has got placed in your life?

  409. Who needs to know him? And if I can encourage you from my

  410. story. Put all barriers aside. Don't let distance be a factor. Don't

  411. let the length of time that you have not been in touch with this person

  412. be a barrier. Remember my story. We are far apart, we have

  413. not been in touch for a long time. But God shows his strength to

  414. the foolish and the weak. The weaker I am, the more foolish I

  415. am, the greater my God shows up. So I'm blown away by this.

  416. You know story myself, And Okay, God, you can do it

  417. for changing, You can do it for anyone in my life. Amen.

  418. So heard check question which only you will have the answer to this? And

  419. God, okay, but you don't have to tell me now, just brew

  420. on it and act on it. Okay. Next point the other Oh is

  421. obstacles. Okay, everyone saying obstacles. Obstacles right? There will always be

  422. obstacles in obeying God. I guarantee you, as sure as the sun rises

  423. every day and rain comes upon the earth, as sure as you have to

  424. eat and go toilet every day and you have to sleep, obstacles will be

  425. there in obeying God. Let's look at Genesis chapter twelve, verse ten to

  426. thirteen. So today I'm going to be focusing on Abraham, the life of

  427. Abraham in short, to illustrate some learning points. Okay, Genesis chapter twelve,

  428. verse ten to thirteen. Now there was a famine in the land,

  429. and Abraham went down to Egypt to dwell there, for the famine was severe

  430. in the land. Next and it came to pass when he was close to

  431. entering Egypt, that he said to SARAHI his wife. Indeed, I know

  432. that you are a woman of beautiful countenance. Therefore it will happen when the

  433. Egyptians see you, that they will say this is his wife, and they

  434. will kill me, but they will let you live. Please say you are

  435. my sister, that it may be well with me for your sake, that

  436. I may live because of you. Wow. Wives, can you imagine any

  437. of our husbands asking us to tell people that we are their sisters and not

  438. their wives. I cannot imagine this, Okay. I don't want to imagine

  439. it, okay, because I don't know what kind of response they were invoke

  440. from me towards my husband. Okay, So yes, but you can see

  441. here. First God called Abraham out of his comfort zone, and now suddenly

  442. Abraham is scared. He's scared that people would kill him for the beauty of

  443. his wife. So he was at a high point, a point of faith,

  444. and he suddenly tumbled down to a point of fear. And this us

  445. human beings. One moment we are up, one moment we are down.

  446. One moment we are full of faith. The next moment we are fearful.

  447. And so for me, right, God showed me dream number one and I

  448. was supposed to go like Abraham and connect with ching ching, but I the

  449. next moment became fearful. Are yo, what was she think of me?

  450. You know we have not been closed for so many years. Many times the

  451. obstacles in obeying God is going to start here. Our minds, all the

  452. logic and reasoning can't help but to generate fear many times. Okay, so

  453. we have to choose how would we face the obstacle when it comes to us.

  454. So a heart check at this point in time, what obstacles are ahead

  455. of you to help that person know God? Remember that someone that you put

  456. in your notebook. Okay, I think God has put this person in my

  457. life to know him. There's going to be obstacles, for sure. What

  458. are some obstacles that you are already going through or you foresee that may actually

  459. stop you from helping that person know God. Question okay, next point point

  460. number three is obey. Everyone saying obey, obey, and that seems to

  461. be the word of the day because Isaiah's testimony also talks about obey and the

  462. children are agreeing with me. Yes, they're agree with me. Okay,

  463. let's look at Okay, So I, like I said, there will always

  464. be obstacles, but you know what, we just have to obey God.

  465. We just have to obey God. Right, Sometimes children make different sounds,

  466. but we just have to focus. Okay, all right, come all right.

  467. So I thank God that even after the first few times that he prompted

  468. me to connect with Chin Chin and I failed, finally he gave me the

  469. strength to obey. So my next heart check question for you is what do

  470. you need to do this week to obey God. I'm not talking about one

  471. year down the road. I'm not talking about your future in the distance.

  472. I'm talking about this week. What do you and I need to do to

  473. obey God. I believe all of us will have an answer because God is

  474. always calling us to obey him. Question is whether we choose to listen to

  475. him and actually do it is another thing. Okay. Now the final point

  476. and extreme you can come up, because I'm about the close already. Okay.

  477. The final point is open doors. Everyone say open doors. That's right.

  478. Obedience is a door opener in the Kingdom of God. Obedience is a

  479. very very powerful key in the Kingdom of God. When we obey, we

  480. unlock doors that nothing else can unlock. You look at Isaiah's story. He

  481. wanted to study masters, and to study masters might take him out of Cybergia,

  482. but he knew that God had called him to be in Cybergia for this

  483. time and season, and so he chose to obey God to remain in Cybergia.

  484. And not only that, God also challenged him to give a big amount

  485. for the anniversary giving. But he could have saved it up to pursue his

  486. masters, but again he chose to obey God. And Isaiah, I don't

  487. know what other you know. Thanks, God will ask you to obey him

  488. in but may you continue to obey him because obedience unlocks doors in the Kingdom

  489. of God, and we see doors being unlocked for Isaiah's masters. He got

  490. the scholarship. That's already a big door open. How many of your us

  491. here our scholarship, you know, winners, right? Not everyone? Not

  492. only that his obedience unlocked the doors of his company to support him. Again,

  493. how many of us have companies that are willing to pay for our further

  494. education. So with a single key obedience, Isaiah has unlocked at least two

  495. doors for now. And I believe more are going to come your way.

  496. Brother, more is going to come your way. Our God is the god

  497. of abundance. Abundance means you can't count the number of doors that can be

  498. opened for you. So obedience is always a door opener in the Kingdom of

  499. God. Let's look at Matthew chapter one, verse seventeen, and this will

  500. be the final verse for today, still relating to Abraham. So it writes,

  501. so all the generations from Abraham to David, King David are fourteen generations.

  502. From David until the captivity in Babylon are fourteen generations. And from the

  503. captivity in Babylon until the Christ are fourteen generations. I just want to point

  504. out something here amidst all the words and numbers, this verse starts with Abraham

  505. and it ends with Christ. Abraham, long time, long journey Christ.

  506. And this shows us that because Abraham was obedient to God to get out of

  507. his homeland and later on to sacrifice his one and only son, Isaac,

  508. were almost sacrificed because of Abraham's crazy obedience, it unlocked a door for Abraham

  509. to be a part of the lineage of Jesus Christ. So forever it is

  510. written on in earth and in Heaven that the lineage of Jesus Christ on earth

  511. begin with Abraham. Forever. That's etched in eternity. And that's the honor

  512. that God has given to Abraham. I wonder whether for me, somewhere there

  513. jail ching ching ah, maybe for you, what could it be? Balaji?

  514. Not what your achievements are, but who God has used you to save,

  515. Doctor Sheila, who that God has used you to save? Right Joel,

  516. who God has used you to impact. Amen. So obedience unlocks doors

  517. beyond what you can ever imagine and ask for. We hope you've been blessed

  518. by this message. For more information on our church, please visit Aschurch Org.
