  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. Today's message right from God for us today.

  3. The title of this message is now you can write, children, write the

  4. title of the message step out in faith. Okay, step out in faith

  5. with a purpose that all may know. Okay, very very important. Yeah,

  6. this is for us today. I pray that this message will encourage all

  7. of us and be reminded that you know so many people who have yet to

  8. know Christ. Okay, whether is it in our immediate family, or you

  9. know the people our neighbors, or whether is it at work in our university,

  10. in our schools. Right, we just yeah, we are reminded.

  11. Let's step out in faith with the purpose that all may know. Okay,

  12. all right. Today's scripture will be taken from First Kings, chapter seventeen,

  13. verse one to sixteen. Okay, you can write that on your notes as

  14. well. I know you have that in your box, children, so yes,

  15. you can write them down. Okay, First Kings chapter seventeen, verse

  16. one to sixteen. And if you and adults, if you have your Bible,

  17. you can also turn to it right now, or you have your digital

  18. Bible you can also turn it to it right now, because what I'm going

  19. to do today, We'll have a lot of pictures on the screen, but

  20. the words. I believe all of us adults have our Bibles, so we'll

  21. be reading the Word of God on our bibles. The scripture will not be

  22. presented on the screen, only pictures for the children to understand. Okay,

  23. right, So as I read, the pictures will go on. Okay,

  24. well roll okay, Fatrick and I we practice really just now, okay,

  25. all right. Realtan, First Kings, Chapter seventeen, verse one to sixteen.

  26. Okay, let's read verse one. And Elijah the Tishbite. Elijah the

  27. Tishbite of the inhabitants of Gilead said to Ahab As the Lord God of Israel

  28. lives before whom I stand, there shall not be due nor reign these years

  29. except at my word. So in verse one, we can see a prophet

  30. name what's his name, Elijah, the prophet Elijah. He's from his a

  31. person from the tribe of Tishbite. Okay, yeah, he's a tish Bite,

  32. all right. Yeah. And he and he is staying in Gilead,

  33. all right, And he is coming before King a heap king a help,

  34. he's the king a help was the King of Israel Dan, right, and

  35. he is so bold to come before the King of Israel is like for example,

  36. we take male or male coming before are going whoa whoa Elijah like that?

  37. So imagine Elijah like that. Okay, but of course Elijah is a

  38. proverb. He comes before the King of Israel Dan, and say, as

  39. the Lord God of Israel lives before whom I stand, that shall not be

  40. due nor reign these years except at my word. Wow, certainly say like

  41. that. Why God is saying like this? Okay? If you adults can

  42. read write the chapter before from First King's chapter thirty onwards, you can read

  43. that there is something that happened, Okay, something that happened in First Kings

  44. chapter sixteen, verse twenty nine onwards. Sorry, verse twenty nine onwards.

  45. Okay, you can go back and read his the background. But just to

  46. summarize King Ahab in verse thirty, he was the most evil king that did

  47. evil in the eyes of the Lord. He is the most evil king among

  48. all his fathers and grandfathers. He was super duper evil. He's the you

  49. know, another version in the message. Okay, the message version says he

  50. is a new champion in evil. Someone got champion evil. He is King

  51. ah the champion of evil. Okay, so you can imagine the video.

  52. Yeah, okay, so he's so evil, Okay, because what the Bible

  53. says here he is he is a king. Why he's so evil? Why

  54. is the Bible saying that he's so evil? Because he worshiped other gods?

  55. Okay, Here in verse thirty you can see. Yeah. Now, Ahab,

  56. the son of Omri, did evil in the sight of the Lord more

  57. than all the all who came before him. And then verse they three of

  58. first Kings, Chapter sixteen, verse thirty three, it says, and a

  59. have made a wooden image. Ahab did more to provoke the Lord God of

  60. Israel to anger than all the kings of Israel who were before him. Right.

  61. So, because of what King Ahab did and provoke God to anger,

  62. that's why Elijah is proclaiming what God is uh proclaiming God's judgment over Israel,

  63. that there will be no do you nor reign. Okay, this is the

  64. punishment of God over the country of Israel. Okay. However, Prophet Elijah,

  65. he is one of the greatest prophet. You know, it's like you

  66. watch a movie, right, the biggest villain and now the superhero whoa Okay,

  67. so Elijah is like that superhero. He is prophet Elijah, one of

  68. the greatest prophets besides Moses to meet Jesus at the transfiguration, the one that

  69. never and also Elijah is the one that never meets death, like you know,

  70. did you know? Did you know? Did you know? Right?

  71. Yeah, Elijah didn't die, you know, I mean if you read in

  72. the coming chapters, right, you know that Elijah he didn't meet death,

  73. but he was taken up to Heaven in a chariot of fires. So Elijah

  74. is the super hero. And we have Dun dun Jo okay, King Ahab

  75. the super villain, the super evil king okay, before God. Okay,

  76. So now let's continue. And because of the famine and drat that was coming

  77. verse two, then the word of the Lord I'm reading from First King,

  78. chapter seventeen, Verse two. Okay, Then the word of the Lord came

  79. to Elijah. Okay, because the drought and the famine is coming. Okay.

  80. There will be no water, no rain, that means no food.

  81. Everybody will be hungry. Verse two says, Then the word of the Lord

  82. came to Elijah, came to him saying, get away from here and turn

  83. eastward and hide by the brook Cherith, which flows into Jordan. Okay.

  84. Let's see some pictures here. Okay. This is a map of a portion

  85. of the map of Israel, our northern Israel. Okay, so you can

  86. imagine. The blue color is the sea, the land is the brown green

  87. color. Okay. And there's some pointers there. Okay. Next light,

  88. we want to just focus on the yellow box. Okay, So our focus

  89. on the yellow box. Next light, the yellow box, you can see

  90. Samaria, Okay, next light, we can see Samaria. Right. Samaria

  91. is where Elijah was speaking to King a Heap Okay. And Samaria then was

  92. the capital of the northern of Israel. That's the main city. Okay,

  93. that's where the king is there. Okay. So when Elijah proclaimed the God's

  94. judgment over Israel and declaring it over King a Heap, then then God gave

  95. this word in verse two, right, get away Elijah, get away from

  96. here and turn eastward. Eastward is towards that side, right towards It's worth,

  97. and hide by the brook of Cherith, which flows into Jordan River.

  98. So you can see the Jordan River flowing right that that that strip there,

  99. that's Jordan River. So Cherith is an estimate light around that area. Okay.

  100. And the brook, okay, brook is like a small stream. Oay,

  101. excise. So can you see the small stream children, it's a small

  102. stream, so small. It's a small stream that flows from the mountains.

  103. You can see some mountains there right. The small stream will flow into a

  104. bigger river, which is the river Jordan. Okay. Like just now,

  105. we saw the map just now okay, right, so you know, this

  106. thing reminds me of the pandemic. Remember the pandemic we had like COVID nineteen

  107. virus. You know, God in that time in Israel, in Israel days,

  108. God gave the word to Elijah there is going to be a famine.

  109. Hide, go away, come away. So we had instructions from our government.

  110. Stay at home, okay and m CEO. Stay at home, yeah,

  111. stay at home okay, hide in a way, hide at home.

  112. Here. The word of God says to Elijah, hide at the brook of

  113. our brook Cherit, which flows from Jordan. Okay. And you know something

  114. we can learn something from this today. Everyone that God he is such a

  115. faithful God. Right, He's reminding us to get away from evil and get

  116. away from the comfort place where we can depend on the Lord. Right.

  117. Just want to remind us all in our journey with the Lord that God will

  118. always lead us to a place where we can depend on him. He will

  119. never lead us to a place where we can be independent of him. All

  120. right. Always remember this, God will always lead us to a place where

  121. we need to depend on him. And why sometimes you say, oh,

  122. why God so challenging a wow, my season? Right now that it's okay,

  123. let's continue to put our faith and trust with the Lord. Amen.

  124. Amen, very good? Okay, so, and yes, and because let's

  125. be reminded also of sound sphenitry. The Lord is our shepherd. I shall

  126. not be in one right. He makes me lie down in green pastures,

  127. He leads me besides steel waters. He restores my soul, He leads me

  128. in the paths of righteousness for His namesake. Be encouraged and be reminded that

  129. God is faithful even in challenging seasons. All right. So similarly, God

  130. was faithful and brought that word to Elijah to go to the brook of Cherith,

  131. all right. Next verse four. Okay, if you're reading from your

  132. bible, adults, all right, our children, you have your bible,

  133. so you can read verse King's Chapter seventeen, verse four. Right now we

  134. are at verse four, and it will be that you shall drink from the

  135. brook. And I have come, and I have commanded the ravens to feed

  136. you there. Wow, that's amazing. God, grab service free of charge.

  137. Some more fantastic ravens will come. Okay, verse five, so he

  138. will he's verse five. So he went and did he went, and he

  139. here refers to Elijah. God gave the word to Elijah to go to the

  140. brook of Cherif, and now verse five Elijah obeyed. So Elijah went and

  141. did according to the word of the Lord. For he went and stayed at

  142. the brook Cherith, which flows into the Jordan. Amazing, Elijah didn't argue

  143. with God. Amazing, very good, good follower, right, very good

  144. example. We can follow this example of Elijah. He immediately obeyed. He

  145. went and did according to the word of the Lord. For yeah, okay,

  146. verse six. The ravens brought him braid and meet in the morning,

  147. and brought and braid and meet in the evening, and drank from the brooks.

  148. I was like grab service McDonald's every day morning and night. Wow,

  149. so nice, right, so good and free of charge, even even better

  150. than grab than okay, wow, free for man, amazing man, I

  151. mean, I mean, okay, that's bringing down Okay, I'm just I'm

  152. just I'm just imagining. Okay. So whatever that we do and when we

  153. obey God, we know that God will provide provide for us. Right.

  154. This shows that our God is a daily god. He provides for us his

  155. daily bread and whatever that he that we need. He is our Jehovah Gyrah.

  156. He knows our needs. He knows that Elijah will not survive in the

  157. the drought or the famine. That's why he brought word for Elijah to come

  158. to this brook of charity and to be fed by the ravens meat and meat

  159. and bread. Wow. It's like girls, right because anyway, braid and

  160. mean wow every day? Okay. And verse seven of First King's Chapter seventeen.

  161. Okay, verse seven. And it happened after a while that the brook

  162. dried up because there had been no rain in the land. Children, Look

  163. at the picture. What happened to the water? No more water? The

  164. brook dried up the stream dried up. No more rain. Yeah, the

  165. drought is so bad that it is really you know, throughout the land is

  166. getting dry and drier. Okay Verse eight of chapter seventeen. Then the word

  167. of the Lord came to Elijah. I came to him saying, a rise,

  168. go to Zarahfath, which belongs to Sidon, and dwell there. See

  169. I have commanded a widow there to provide for you. Wow, amazing,

  170. God is so good. Okay, you see here the map again right,

  171. Cherif is right at the bottom, and rive up north there is zarah Fath.

  172. Oh yeah, I forgot to say. The distance between Samaria and Cherif

  173. is between Cyberjaya and Malacca. Okay you can imagine. Okay. And last

  174. time, don't have bus, no car, no plane, no nothing.

  175. Walk on it. Okay, you walk, You walk from and you have

  176. to cross the river Jody. Okay. Can you see the river Jada is

  177. between Samurai and Cherith. Okay, So when you walk, I was asking

  178. chet deputy, how far is it to walk from Cyberjaya to Malacca. It

  179. takes about maybe three four days. Of course, after you rest are counting

  180. all the rest, averaging about three four days if you walk. Okay,

  181. So, and can I mean in today's kind of condition? I can you

  182. imagine Samria to Cherif in drought time, you know, hot time? You

  183. know, I don't know. There's no rest, there's no toilet, there's

  184. no nothing. So probably maybe three four five days. Yeah. What now

  185. from Chariff the brook of Charof to Zarahath, I asked, said Repity the

  186. as same question. How far is it? There's no, there's no answer

  187. from Okay, so it's an estimate. Okay, it's quite a distance,

  188. quite a number of kilometers away. Its further as you can see the map.

  189. Definitely, I don't know two times about yeah, so it's even further

  190. even for the I I wait upon the Lord to upon this this thing,

  191. okay. And what God is trying to tell us? You know, remember

  192. the times when we were in pandemic. So I was drawing an illustration from

  193. Samara to Charif, like during our pandemic days. Right, God is protecting

  194. us. Now we are done with the pandemic. Right, moving from Charof

  195. to Zarahpath, God is telling Elijah arise. In verse nine of One Kings,

  196. chapter seventeen, a rise. This word was so loud when I was

  197. waiting upon the Lord for this word for us this morning. A rise.

  198. The word says, A rise, go to zarafav Okay, wow. I

  199. don't know whether last time in Elija's days, do they have a map or

  200. something. I don't know, but I believe Elijah would probably know how fine

  201. it is. I don't know, because you see tish Bear is there.

  202. Tish Bear is where he's from Elijah or he is a teacher? Bite right,

  203. So I can imagine. Okay, God, you're telling me to go

  204. further than my hometown. Okay, So God spoke to Elijah, A rise,

  205. go to zarahfeth right. This reminds me of what God is telling the

  206. church today. A rise, Pandemic is done, Church, A rise pandemic

  207. is done. Church. A rise Church, and go to the place where

  208. God wants us to be those who do not know Him and have yet to

  209. believe in Him. May this be an encouragement for us today, that the

  210. Word of God speaking to us, speaking to our hearts today, speaking to

  211. the Church of Malaysia and of the whole world. Today. Church, Arise,

  212. Arise. The time is now, the pandemic is done, or not

  213. even done. Maybe we are still there are still some lingering viruses around,

  214. but still a rise, go arise. Okay. In Isaiah chapter sixty,

  215. verse one, children, you can write this down as well. A rise,

  216. shine for your lights has come, Church, and the glory of the

  217. Lord is risen upon you. Today. Bring this back, meditate on this

  218. word this week. A rise Church, Arise, yeah, arise. It

  219. takes faith to our rise. And then the word they're shine, We a

  220. rise to shine. We are reminded that we are called to be light and

  221. salt of the earth. Right we have the answer to eternal life, to

  222. this dying and very evil world today. So a rise, church, let's

  223. shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord is

  224. risen upon you. Amen, church man, Okay, very qu amen is

  225. okay, all right, so let's continue. Zarah Fath was a place where

  226. also oh yes, zarah Fath just now you see the map, right,

  227. zarah Fath is like wow, way up north is a place where people worship,

  228. but all they do not know the Lord, God of Israel. Okay,

  229. So Elijah is called to go to a place where thought they don't know

  230. about the Lord, they are worshiping other gods. Okay, this is something

  231. to think about in our lives. Expect that when God guides, even when

  232. we don't understand, he will always provide. Amen. Trust him. Be

  233. flexible. His provision may come in unconventional ways from unexpected sources. Trust him.

  234. He knows. Our God is an all knowing God. He knows.

  235. Yeah, because God wants to be glorified in our situation. It is God's

  236. way and it is his glory. Yeah. He wants to use us,

  237. as weak as we are, as foolish as we are. He makes He

  238. uses the weak and foolish things of the world and put honor upon them.

  239. Wow. Know that all of us are that instrument that God wants to use

  240. us. Next light, Isaiah chapter fifty five, US nine. Children,

  241. you can also write this for us. The heavens are higher than the earth.

  242. So are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your

  243. thoughts. Amen. This is the Lord speaking over Isaiah the prophet. Okay,

  244. this is taken from the book of Isaiah. All right, For as

  245. high as the heavens, For as high the heavens are higher than the earth,

  246. so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your

  247. thoughts? Amen? All right? So amazingly In First Kings, chapter seventeen,

  248. Verse ten, say, so Elijah a rose right. The word came

  249. to him was a rise. So Elijah arose. Okay, you didn't argue,

  250. he didn't ask questions, no nothing, Wow, why is a fag

  251. No? He just arose and went to Zarahphath. Elijah displayed immediate obedience.

  252. Again. Wow. How I mean if you are God and you have someone

  253. like Elijah obeying you every step of the way without arguing or questioning, right,

  254. would you want to use someone like Elijah? Right? So Elijah arose

  255. and he went to Zaraphath. And when he came to the gate of the

  256. city, indeed, a widow was gathering sticks next like, and he called

  257. to her and said, okay, before I said, before I continue the

  258. verse, chewod, can you see which is Elijah? Ah? Okay,

  259. yes, very good, thank you. Anderson, Yes, that is Elijah.

  260. Okay, let's go to the next light. Let's focus in right.

  261. So Elijah was speaking to the widow right right and continue to stand right.

  262. And he called to her and said, please bring me a little cup,

  263. a little water in a cup that I may drink right. Verse eleven says

  264. and as she was going to get it. Elijah called to the window again

  265. and said, please bring me a morsel of bread in your hand. A

  266. morco break means a piece of bread in your hand. So what did Elijah

  267. ask the widow to do? To bring a cup of a little cup of

  268. water and a small piece of bread? Do things? He remember these two

  269. things Elijah asked the widow to do. Right. Verse twelve of First King,

  270. Chapter seventeen says, so she said, the widow said to Elijah,

  271. as the Lord your God lives. I remember the widow does not worship the

  272. Lord God of Israel. The widow worship but al right, so she's saying

  273. to Elijah, as the Lord your God is not her god, but it's

  274. your God, Elijah's God, As the Lord your God lives. I do

  275. not have bread, only a handful of flour in a bin and a little

  276. oil in a jar. And see, I am gathering a couple of sticks,

  277. as you can see in the picture right just now, I'm gathering a

  278. couple of sticks. The picture before, I'm gathering a couple of sticks.

  279. Oh, okay, gatherings a couple of sticks that I may go in and

  280. prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat and die.

  281. Okay, there's so little food left, right, So that's what the widow

  282. is saying to Elijah. Okay, I have a very little left. No,

  283. it's in other words, she's trying to say, I don't think I

  284. have much to offer you, Elijah, I have just so little, right,

  285. And ver's the teen. Elijah said to the window, do not fear,

  286. go and do as you have said. What did Elijah say that?

  287. Sorry? Yes, what did the widows say that she wanted to do?

  288. She wanted to take that little flower and little oil and make a little piece

  289. of bread, share with the sun and her and eat and die. Okay,

  290. that's all so. But then Elija said to her, do not be

  291. afraid. Don't be afraid, go and do a f us as you have

  292. said. But what's the teen says? But make me make Elijah a small

  293. cake first, make that small cake from it first, and give it to

  294. Elijah first, and bring it to me, and afterward make some for yourself

  295. and your son. How does that work? How does that work? How

  296. does that work? Wow? Yeah, for thus says the Lord God of

  297. Israel. Now this is the promise the being of the flower shall not be

  298. used up, nor shall the jar of all run dry until the day of

  299. the Lord sends rain on the earth. Wow. This is God's promise.

  300. Right. And remember, the widow is not doesn't believe in the Lord God

  301. of Israel, of Islayah that Elijah believes in. Right. But verse fifteen

  302. it says so the widow verse fifteen, or First King, chapter seventeen says,

  303. so she went. So the widow went away and did according to the

  304. word of Elijah. Now the widow obeyed immediately, and she and he which

  305. is Elia Elijah, with the widow and Elijah and her and the widow's household

  306. it for many days verse fifteen. You see the miracle happened in that same

  307. verse of verse fifteen. First Case, chapter seventeen, Verse fifteen, Obedience,

  308. the miracle come later. Right, obedience the miracle doesn't come first,

  309. then only obey. The obedience comes first, then the miracle. Right,

  310. So she went away and did according to the word of God of Elijah.

  311. The widow and the widow and he and her household it for many days.

  312. Even though there was a little flower and little oil that she saw that the

  313. miracle happened, right, verse sixteen, the bin of flower was not used

  314. up, nor did the jar of oil run dry, according to the word

  315. of God which he spoke by Elijah. Wow, is that a miracle or

  316. what? Amazing? Right? So amazing. There is power when we do

  317. God's word. Amen, Church, Amen, there is power. Tell your

  318. neighbor, there is power when we do God's word. Yeah, okay,

  319. very good. God always uses what we have in our hands, even the

  320. little resources we have in our hands, whatever we have, everything, everything

  321. that we have, even the breath that we breathe, the limbs that we

  322. can move. Man, I tell you, yes, you know, appreciate

  323. them, give thanks to God for them that we can go to the toilet.

  324. All right, really, you know, everything, every single thing.

  325. Let's give thanks to God and let's surrender it to God and see God use

  326. them for his glory. Right. I love the illustration of Okay, maybe

  327. I have a very good child, or anybody good at mathematics. Okay,

  328. if one times a million, what would that make one million? That's right,

  329. one times a million. One one is like our little that we have.

  330. A million is like the resources of God that he has. He has

  331. unlimited resources. One a multiplication of one and a million is still a million.

  332. If we go one with not with God, one multiplication one time zero

  333. is zero. That's correct, that's very good. Zero. If one the

  334. little that we have, multiplication of nothing, we get nothing, nothing,

  335. but one with the multiplication of a million. Million represents the resources of God.

  336. And you know everything that God has prepared for us is equals to a

  337. million, the measurement of God, the unlimited. Wow. Right, I'm

  338. always so encouraged every time I use this analogy of this mathematic analogy is so

  339. amazing. Right. And the multiplication of the flower and all did not happen

  340. because of the holding. See, the widow did not hold the flower and

  341. all to herself and didn't reject Elijah. She didn't hold. The multiplication of

  342. flower and all did not happen because of the holding, but in the giving,

  343. first unto the Lord, then sharing with others similar Who can remember a

  344. similar story of this? Do you remember, children, anyone? Do you

  345. remember story where God multiplies something? Uh? Huh, yes? Correct?

  346. The boy who gives God the five flows and two fish. It's just five

  347. flows and two fish to feed the five thousand, right, The boy who

  348. gives it up the little that he has. This is the principle of the

  349. first and giving our best unto the Lord, whether is it our time,

  350. our treasure, or our talents. Right, everything that we have, let's

  351. give it unto God. Let's use it to the advancement of His kingdom here

  352. in Cyberjaya and beyond. Amen. Yeah, so children, And that's okay,

  353. So, but I want to get to the children's attention. Okay,

  354. children, Matthew Chapter six ver s that the tree can someone shout out the

  355. worse for me. Let's read together, ready, one to tree, but

  356. sik first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things shall

  357. be added to you. Amen, this verse. Keep it really close to

  358. your heart. And I hear of many testimonies of campus students quoting this verse

  359. being so real, having its so real in their lives, even for myself

  360. as well. I'm sure different ones I've shared different testimonies about this right.

  361. Continue, continue to see God's blessing added upon you as you continue to give

  362. God your first and seek His kingdom first above all things. Amen. And

  363. let's continue to hear testimonies of this same verse, and let's continue to inspire

  364. many more people to do likewise, until Jesus comes back, until the Kingdom

  365. of the heavens and of heaven is known throughout the whole world, that all

  366. may know. Right, Yeah, let's do this together, church, right,

  367. and even for the widow. There is nothing lost by being kind to

  368. God's people and ministers a man right, So whenever this is another principle of

  369. honoring our leaders and pastors and elders. There is nothing lost by being kind

  370. to God's people and ministers. The widow that received the prophet had a prophet's

  371. reward, right. She gave him food and sheltered, and he repaid her

  372. with food for her household. You know, this reminds me also that God

  373. remembers our household. I'm also in the midst of praying for the salvation of

  374. my in laws salvation and entire family as well, So I'm always reminded that

  375. God knows and God is faithful. I'm still praying and still holding this promise

  376. of God. Right. He thinks of not just us as individuals, but

  377. he all so thinks of our household. Amen. Christ has promised to those

  378. who open their hearts, or Christ has promised to those who open their doors

  379. of their hearts to him that he will come in to them and eat and

  380. commune and fellowship with them. Revelations three twenty. Let's read this together on

  381. the slide. Right, let's read together one to three. Behold, I

  382. stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the

  383. door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he

  384. with me. Wow. Who wants to Macan with Jesus? Wow? Invite

  385. him in your lives. He can man fellowship, hang out with you all

  386. day, no, all day, all life. Let's do this with Jesus.

  387. Man, he knocks on the door of the hearts, of our hearts,

  388. you know, Let's invite him in here. Jesus, come hang out,

  389. let's mark on together. He's happy to Marcan as you, as we

  390. have read in the Gospels. Right, Jesus loves to Maccan. Right,

  391. so yay, let's Marcan with Jesus. Yeah. And next light in Psalm

  392. chapter thirty seven, vers. Eighteen to nineteen, let's read together. For

  393. the Lord knows the days of the upright, and their kindness shall be forever.

  394. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and in the days

  395. of famine they shall be satisfied. Amen. Love to draw our attention to

  396. verse nineteen, where it says they shall not be ashamed in the evil time.

  397. Today is evil time, right. The word of God promises us that

  398. we shall not be ashamed. Those who follows after the Lord shall be not

  399. shall be not be, shall not be shamed. Amen, They shall not

  400. be shamed. This is the promise of God when we rise up to the

  401. to his calling to share the word of God, you know, to share

  402. his love with others. Amen. I just want to share a testimony next

  403. light, right, So I just want to share testimony on the story linking

  404. my testimony to this incident where Elijah going up to Zaraphath from the Book of

  405. Cherif. All right. So it's also a challenge for me recently, right,

  406. I have been meditating on the theme of our church that all may know.

  407. Right. The theme of our church this season, all right, this

  408. year, is that all may know. Right. I've been meditating on this

  409. theme for a very long time, even constantly. Even right now, I'm

  410. also meditating thinking about it constantly. When I go around my work or you

  411. know, around whatever I do, I always think about it that all may

  412. know. What can I do God, right, all including this that all

  413. may know, includes this all includes my family, my friends, my neighbors,

  414. my colleagues, et cetera. I am still meditating and looking out for

  415. opportunities to allow God to lead me that all may know. Right. So,

  416. recently, my company, right as other companies as well, recently announced

  417. that we should be going back to our office right on a regular basis with

  418. and and and you know, they were trying to encourage the colleagues, the

  419. colleagues, the all of us to come back, you know, listening out

  420. the benefits and all come back. And you know, yeah, it's good

  421. for the not just for the company, but it's good for the morale of

  422. the colleagues, teamwork and all that. Right. I And deep down inside

  423. me, I hear a still small voice saying to go back to the office.

  424. So it's like I was at the brook of Jerry. God is calling

  425. me to Zarifath. So I hear this still small voice. Okay, So

  426. I have also many reasons behind my back right so farther God so hard,

  427. okay, very inconvenient God, Okay, Okay, So that was back in

  428. my head. But I still hear the still small voice, go back to

  429. the office. I wasn't as determined as I first was when the office first

  430. opened to return back to the office after the pandemic. But last week or

  431. just this past week, on the week where the schedules are up to return

  432. back to the office, my neighbor three doors down the road was coincidentally having

  433. house renovation as well, and it was so noisy. The whole house is

  434. yeah, very noisy. Yeah, so so noisy, on the same day

  435. that the that I have to return back to office. Right anyway, my

  436. team's schedule is only once a week, every Friday, but the renovation makes

  437. me made me have to go back to office every day, okay, because

  438. I can work from home. So noisy, right, then, I have

  439. no choice but to return back to the office on a daily basis. Now

  440. and since then, since this past week, just want to share with us,

  441. I have been going to the office on a daily basis and every day,

  442. you know, and I get to connect with colleagues at a personal level

  443. amazingly. And I am currently seated at a desk where by the walk by

  444. the walkway, and many people who knows me will come and say hello hello

  445. to me and constantly strike a conversation with me, I'm like, okay,

  446. right, what God are you trying to say? But thank God, even

  447. in this midst of meeting different ones throughout this week, there was a graduate

  448. trainee that I had the opportunity to meet her for the first time this week,

  449. right, And she had been working in this company for about a year

  450. now and haven't made any friends, right, And she's been in the company

  451. for a year, no friends? And I asked her, how come no

  452. friends? Then she said, oh, nolah, oh there is an age

  453. gap. You know, she's she's shy, you know, and you know

  454. she's like yeah or everyone all all anti and uncles and she's so young.

  455. She say, Okay. So I took the opportunity to engage with her during

  456. lunch break, and after that she left me a message on our office chat

  457. facility sharing how she was really grateful to have met me and hope to have

  458. more talks together. Just being there really made someone's day. Wow, Wow,

  459. Praise God. Praise God. Indeed, really praise God. And you

  460. know when I shared this message, you know, every time and we prepare

  461. message, we usually share it with Passa Kennels for him to review and to

  462. just do Vat through passa Canner's replied back to me when I was sharing this

  463. testimony as well, he said, I don't just see faith in it.

  464. In this testimony, I don't just see faith, but I see purpose,

  465. purpose, even in purpose, even in inconvenience of going back to the office.

  466. Right. The purpose of connecting with our colleagues is and was and has

  467. to be beyond and above the inconvenience of going back to office. Right.

  468. And the ultimate purpose is that all may know. Amen? Amen? All

  469. right? So next light, So in summary, important points children, you

  470. need to write this down in the big box. Okay, important points in

  471. today's message. First point f okay, first, put God first. That

  472. can be taken from Matthew chapter six, verse they three. First. Okay,

  473. first, put God first. Give God your best. Come on,

  474. church, Let's give God our best. Let's give God our best in everything

  475. as much as we have, as little that we have, Let's give God

  476. our best. Okay. Let let this not be just words that I am

  477. speaking, but let it be Let's be doers of his word. Amen.

  478. Let's give God our best, even if sometimes it's very difficult. Let's still

  479. give God our best. Put him first. Because his promise says that all

  480. these things shall be added onto us. You know something very funny that this

  481. this creature, even the children are writing down right. Yeah, while they

  482. are writing down, let me let me remind us that you know, so

  483. many times we worry about that and all these things shall be added. We

  484. always worry about that. Actually, we shouldn't worry about that all these things

  485. shall be added until, like, for example, like our career, whether

  486. it's our relationships. You know that that that all these things, you know,

  487. the thing that we shouldn't worry about. We should be focusing and worrying

  488. about sick first his kingdom right, and the promise is that all these things

  489. shall be added under us. Right, So the focus is sick first his

  490. kingdom. So matth each after sixth first the de three Okay, that's first

  491. point, Second point a rise, say a rise? Next like a rise,

  492. second point arise. Okay, you can write in your not children,

  493. arise. You need help from that day and mommy how to spell a rise

  494. us that mummy a rise? Okay, next point is a a rise.

  495. Don't remain in your own comfort zones with your own Christian friends church, Come

  496. on, come on the world, needs to know Jesus. Okay, let's

  497. not be so comfortable in our Yes, of course, we need the Christian

  498. fellowship. You know, together we built our faith. Then let's go out,

  499. okay, A rise. Don't remain in our comfort zone with our own

  500. Christian friends. A rise, shine, for your light has come, for

  501. the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. That's from Isaiah chapter sixty,

  502. verse one. Okay. I'm also speaking this word to myself constantly,

  503. reminding myself every morning, especially on Monday morning, to a rise, Olivia,

  504. A rise, Yes, I know, I speak a lot of that

  505. to us, the right a rise, speak the word of God over your

  506. lives, especially when Monday comes. A rise, A rise, Okay,

  507. and feel in your name a rise Olivia, A rise Okay, and declare.

  508. Isaiah chapter sixty ver was one Okay, akaight. Next point I immediate

  509. obedience, okay, f ai. Immediate obedience like Elijah and the video,

  510. immediate obedience. Obey for your own good and for others. Okay, obey

  511. the Lord for your own good and for others. As we can see in

  512. this scripture. Okay, Elijah obeyed God immediately and went to places where God

  513. told him to go and where he was led to. And the widow did

  514. not hesitate to obey Elijah immediately despite her not knowing the Lord yet she did.

  515. She still obeyed right immediate obedience. Okay, Next word T fai T

  516. trust. Trust in God's word. Trust in God's words, his ways,

  517. his thoughts are higher than and bigger than our thoughts. Isaiah chapter fifty five,

  518. verse eight to nine were read. Just now, expect that God guides.

  519. Expect that when God guides, even when we don't understand, he will

  520. also provide. A Man, I'm saying this because I really believe someone needs

  521. this word today. Expect when God guides, even when we don't understand,

  522. he will always provide. His provision may come in unconventional ways from unexpected sources

  523. like the raven raven braid and mean wow, amazing. All this happened only

  524. after the obedience, the trusting and obey immediate obedience. Right Okay, that's

  525. t last one h f A I T h H hands What is in my

  526. hands? Time? Is it? Time? Do we give our ten percent

  527. of our time out of the twenty four hours to the Lord? First?

  528. We have twenty four hours a day every day what's what's ten percent of twenty

  529. four hours? Some good mathematician? Two point four hours? Are some matthias?

  530. Very good? Two point four hours? Wow? Until the Lord every

  531. day? Right, think about it, bring it back to God. Think

  532. about it. Two point four hours? What can I do for the Lord?

  533. Point four hours? Okay, some of us watch that flicks to point

  534. our what two point four hours? We can do so much for the Lord?

  535. We have twenty four hours given to us every day. What can we

  536. do with it? What is in my hands? Little or much? What

  537. do I have that I can surrender to God? Like the widow with just

  538. a handful of flower and a little oil in the jar. With that,

  539. God is able to do that miracle without the five loaves and two fish.

  540. I mean, of course God can give still provide to the five thousand.

  541. But yet God wants to partner with us to do that miracle. Amen.

  542. Amen, Yeah, children can continue to write. Well, maybe we can

  543. have extrame up right. We can still be sited at our seats. Yep,

  544. no worries. Yeah, while the children write, and we'll just have

  545. this slide up here just to think about it, just to meditate on what

  546. God is speaking to us. Even today, to really relate it in our

  547. lives and bring it unto the Lord what he wants us to do. It's

  548. a very simple word today, very simple. I believe that is a word

  549. that almost I think majority of us probably knows. I've heard of this story

  550. like so many times already. But what are we doing with this word that

  551. we have heard a thousand times already? What are we doing? And now

  552. the word is presented to us again, Holy Spirit is bringing this word to

  553. our remembrance again. What is he trying to say to us in this season

  554. of our lives about faith? First, arise, immediate obedience to trust and

  555. hence and having faith with a purpose, not just blind faith, but faith

  556. with the purpose that all may know, that all may know until the whole

  557. earth is filled with the glory of the Lord. As the water covers the

  558. sea, water has covered the sea? How many percent out of the earth?

  559. Eight thirty five per sid almost yes, sirty five percent. Wow,

  560. even more, I want to declare even more than seventy five percent that water

  561. is covering the sea, covering the planet. Thirty five percent of the planet

  562. is covered by water. But made the word of the Lord, made the

  563. knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers as the water covers the sea made

  564. the glory. The knowledge of the glory of the Lord covers the whole earth.

  565. Let's let's be part of this, even in the small area of our

  566. lives, in our family, in our workplaces, in our campuses, in

  567. our hostels, among our neighbors, our housemates. Let it be so real

  568. that is. Let's let's let's do His word. Amen. Church, Amen.

  569. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information on our

  570. church, please visit as church do O RG. We are also active on

  571. Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that this week is going to be a good

  572. week. I hit for you. God bless
