  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your tea this morning. I'm gonna share from John chapter fourteen,

  3. okay, and I believe it's child friendly as well, at least got

  4. slides there, okay, so you can copy the underlying stuff. You can

  5. draw the pictures I put there, okay, and take your notes. But

  6. you can also listen and see what God is saying to you, all right,

  7. young children and children of God. Hey man, So first, what's

  8. the title. The title is that all may know. That's our theme.

  9. That's a theme for this year, that all may know the way, the

  10. truth and the life. All that all may know, all may know the

  11. way, the truth and the life. Okay, let's begin with the first

  12. verse here, Chapter fourteen, Verse one. What does it say? So

  13. we read this together? All right? It says here, let not your

  14. hearts be troubled. Okay, first thing here is we see, let not

  15. your hearts be troubled. I love the way it starts saying, this is

  16. Jesus speaking. Okay, anyone here you're going through trouble, right, you

  17. need to raise science because everyone is, everyone is going through some kind of

  18. trouble. Why, Because we're living in a fallen world. Right, there's

  19. all kinds of trouble. Right. You wake up, you wish your breakfast

  20. is there automatically. You have to make your own rekfast. That's a really

  21. problem, right, Right, you go to a hotel buffe, right,

  22. but you paid for it, isn't it? Someone had to do to work

  23. for you. So there's trouble all the time. There's trouble all the time.

  24. Some troubles are more, more difficult. Some trouble you feel almost impossible,

  25. sometimes sometimes even whole plus like why is this? Why am I going

  26. through this? And it's overwhelming? Right, Some troubles are just big,

  27. some small problems. We can still settle it, right, we feel able

  28. to. But you see, the first thing Jesus says here is let not

  29. your hearts be trouble. There's trouble, but you don't need to let your

  30. heart be trouble. Amen. So listen first, okay. And then you're

  31. asking how, how how to not let it be troubled? Okay, there's

  32. an answer to it, because Jesus knows what he's saying, right, So

  33. let's just trust his word. First, Let not your hearts be troubled.

  34. You know, there's war going on, right. There's war going on right

  35. now, there's all different types of war. There's financial trouble. Right,

  36. what are the trouble? I wrote down some things here. Ah, there's

  37. people problem. People problem. You know. You know when you work,

  38. you face your colliaques, you face your bosses. Right, is it all

  39. fine and lovely all the time? When they asked you to do something already

  40. you feel or don't have enough work to do. Why am I having to

  41. do more? Right? Students, you go homework. Then there's other homework,

  42. right. Then there's other stuff in your own stuff. You want to

  43. do yourself right. And then you have friends. Your friends don't always give

  44. you a great time, isn't it. Yeah. Then there's this part where

  45. you are growing up. You're thinking about the future, right, and they

  46. go like, will I get married in the future? Right? Who should

  47. I? Who's the best candidate? Right? And then someone comes and confess

  48. to you, and you go like, how should I answer this? Right?

  49. So there's there's relationships. That's there's people. I recently, you know,

  50. I work in a wonderful place. I work with the church in the

  51. sense with the church's school Victory Academy. Okay, and uh, you know,

  52. we wish it was heaven and sola. You know, but I'm sitting

  53. down, you know, with people. I'm sitting on the people when I

  54. work with that I work with. You know, we have a new management

  55. right now, management okay, and uh, we're sitting up with management.

  56. And it's it's not easy to talk with people who have a lot of people

  57. have a lot of ideas. Okay, a lot of ideas. So how

  58. you deal with it right? And you or yourself have ideas right? And

  59. then thank god, you know, we we we talked that on Saturday.

  60. The meek the meet. Listen first, be quick to listen, you know,

  61. don't be so quick to speak. And so that's that's one of the

  62. ways I at least listen first. But you know, trouble, that's trouble

  63. when you work with people, when you have friendships, when you get into

  64. relationships, when you you know, and the whole world here, there is

  65. trouble. But Jesus tells us, let not your hearts be troubled, all

  66. right. So that's the first point. Do not let your hearts be troubled,

  67. all right. He's trying to tell us it's a choice. It's a

  68. choice you choose whether to allow yourself be troubled or not. It's a choice.

  69. Okay, tell your nigh or that it's a choice. It is a

  70. choice, all right. It's not easy, but it is still a choice.

  71. You can choose, all right. And there are some things you can

  72. do to actually let not let your heart be trouble. So what is it?

  73. Next line, he already tells us that. Okay, he gives us

  74. the answer how to not let your hearts be troubled. It is here in

  75. the same verse, believe in God. Very easier to say that, okay,

  76. believe in God. Okay. But then he adds on to it,

  77. this is the key. Believe also in me Jesus, saying this, believe

  78. in him Jesus. Now what does this mean? This is this whole thing

  79. is actually very loaded. It looks like a simple sentence. But what does

  80. this mean? All right? I think in some versions it says you believe

  81. in God, right, not only believe in God. He's actually talking like

  82. conversational. You see, let not your house to be trouble. You say

  83. you believe in God, right, Ah, actually sounds something like that.

  84. You say you believe in God right, but believe also in me. Now,

  85. let me explain a little bit what I think I understand from this.

  86. Okay, many of us we say we believe in God or so and the

  87. whole world sometimes says that we believe there is a God. Some people say

  88. don't they don't know, all right. But when we say we believe in

  89. God, many times we understand it as God somewhere is somewhere he's looking from

  90. and then there's that song right from it. Dis I don't know how this

  91. thing is song, anyone knows. It's very old from a distance. Like

  92. say, God is watching from a distance, all right, It's like you

  93. can pray and then God is from a distance watching something like that. And

  94. so we understand, right, try trying to sing. Okay, we see

  95. many times when we say God, he's from a distance from Afar. And

  96. so Jesus is challenging his people about this believe in God. Yes, you

  97. say you believe in God, but believe also in me. And where was

  98. he at that time? Right in their faces? He was right there,

  99. standing there and saying, you believe in God, right, believe also in

  100. me. I'm right here, I'm right here. I'm walking with you,

  101. I'm talking with you right now. I ate with you. I slept in

  102. the boat right and you wake me up. I'm with you. And he's

  103. known as God with us. So listen, how not to be trouble.

  104. That's trouble, but how to not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in

  105. God, but not just believe in God from a distance from far, like

  106. as if he's not around. Sometimes it sounds even like he's imaginary. Right,

  107. I don't know whether he's really around, right, they talk about God,

  108. I don't see him, right, So sometimes we believe in God as

  109. if he's an imagination. But Jesus saying, no, don't believe in God

  110. like that. Believe in me Jesus Christ, who is right here, flesh

  111. and blood in front of you. That's what he's saying. Yeah, And

  112. he's saying, believe in a way that He is right here with you.

  113. And that's how you cannot let your hearts be troubled when God is with us,

  114. When you know God is with you, that's how your hearts will not

  115. be trouble. You can actually choose that. I know that because you say

  116. I know, I can't I know need to be trouble. I don't need

  117. to be trouble. There's trouble all around me. There's war. This guy

  118. is not agreeing with me. It's giving me a hard time. He feels

  119. like that. But I know my God is with me. I know my

  120. God is not far away. And he can't heal my prayer because he's right

  121. here with me. And when I pray, he listens. When I pray,

  122. he's doing something already before I pray. He's already working, actually,

  123. and he's right here with me. He's God with us. Yeah. And

  124. not only that, And he said he where's Jesus, Whe's Jesus? Jesus?

  125. He says, I am with you always. That's what his word says.

  126. But he promises us one more thing that he sends us the Holy Spirit.

  127. The Holy Spirit is in us. For those who love Jesus, who

  128. know Jesus, who believe, He says that, you know, the Holy

  129. Spirit is in us. He lives with us, and we need to allow

  130. the Holy Spirit to continue to feel us, feel us right here. Amen.

  131. And so don't just believe in God, you know far away. Come

  132. on Sunday and then Monday to Friday is not around come on, that's a

  133. lie. He is God with us, and he's there with you on Monday.

  134. He's there with you on Tuesday. He's there with you at your workplace.

  135. He's there with you when you're doing your assignments. He's there with you

  136. when you are about to sin. All right, and he's hey, I'm

  137. here. Okay, okay, all right, yield to the Holy Spirit.

  138. Amen. So believe in God, in Jesus Christ, that he is here.

  139. Amen. All right. Oh, one more thing I want to say,

  140. right, you see, Thank God he established what we call the church.

  141. Point to your neighbor, say you are the church, right, if

  142. you believe in Jesus, you're part of this body. So it's called the

  143. body of Christ. The church is known as the body of Christ, all

  144. right, which means we are part of Christ. He's the hit and we

  145. are the body with the hands and the feet and all the other parts of

  146. the body. Okay, Jesus with the body, body parts of we are

  147. the body of Christ. Okay. And I'll tell you that the church is

  148. also known you know, what is also known as is also known as the

  149. bride, the bride of Christ. The Bride of Christ is married to Christ

  150. he's known as the bridegroom. Okay, and uh, when we are married

  151. or rather, you know, you know, when someone is married to each

  152. other, you don't mess with the spouse. Yeah, So if the church

  153. is the bride of Christ, how should we treat the bride of Christ?

  154. Right? If you know the husband, the bridegroom Jesus and he says,

  155. this is my bride. The church is my bride. I love her,

  156. Please take care of her, then we will take care of her. Right,

  157. we will. When we serve in church, we will honor the church.

  158. Yeah, we won't say Okay, I'll come and play cahan this morning.

  159. Then don't turn up for no reason. Okay. I mean sometimes happen,

  160. I valiate you, like I don't know, fall in a bathroom,

  161. what if I don't know? Okay, right, happens. Okay, I'm

  162. not saying you right, Okay, But if you don't honor the church,

  163. you're actually dishonoring her, and you're hurting the church. You know. For

  164. example, if let's say you you you criticize and talk bad about the church,

  165. and uh, sip right, it's like hurting. Right, It's like

  166. talking about someone's wife. Okay, is Issa talking about the wife in front

  167. of the husband, because Jesus is always there. He's always there, right,

  168. He's God with us, who's hearing everything you're saying. So let's be

  169. let's watch out for that. Let's let's love the church. Let's care for

  170. the church as if she is God's bride. Amen, hallelujah. So that's

  171. what I mean. Also when he says God with us, you know,

  172. don't just believe in God from a distance and afar. But he's here,

  173. His body is here. So when you serve in church, you are You're

  174. you're doing worship unto the Lord. You serve one another, you're serving the

  175. body of Christ. Amen. Everyone doing? Okay, children doing? Okay,

  176. simple enough, hallelujah. Okay, all right, all right, we

  177. move on. So that's the point, the other point, right, don't

  178. just believe God in God from afar. He is with us. Now.

  179. Next one, let's read the Bible. In my father's house are many rooms?

  180. If it were not, so, would I have told you that I

  181. go to prepare a place for you. Okay, let's pause there for a

  182. while. In my father's house are many rooms? What is Jesus saying here?

  183. There's still lots of space, all right, where he is going and

  184. where what he's preparing. So that's why our theme that all may know.

  185. Let's take that seriously. There's a lot of space. We want to fill

  186. this space up. Okay, we want to fill this space up and not

  187. let the other place get filled up right, It's only either this or the

  188. other place. Okay. So where's your friends going? Where your friend's going?

  189. Where are you going? Okay? I hope to see you there.

  190. I hope to see all of our friends and our family members there in our

  191. father's house with many rooms and not the other place. Yeah, and so

  192. Jesus says, yeah, he goes to prepare a place for us, all

  193. right. I find it's very interesting because whenever I hear this, I have

  194. an imagination, like, what is Jesus doing there? What's this prepare?

  195. Is he building? Is he some constructor construction? Right? Is building a

  196. hotel or whatever? I don't know? Okay, again to that imagination.

  197. But I had to stop there because I don't know. I don't know what

  198. kind of a building is this. Is it a mansion or whatever? But

  199. let me try and explain what I think I understand from this. Hey,

  200. I read. Let's read on first. And if I go and prepare a

  201. place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself that

  202. where I am you may be also, and you know the way to where

  203. I am going. Okay, we pause here, So again the word prepares

  204. where I am that you may be also. So what Jesus is saying,

  205. you know what I understand from this is during that time the Jewish culture is

  206. the way a person gets married is that when they come, you know,

  207. and they they agree, all right, I'm going to get married to your

  208. daughter, right, and uh, you know, I don't know, like

  209. the sign papers or whatever it is. And then there's this word called uh

  210. we hear it, you know during Joseph and Mary, you know, bethrothed,

  211. bethrothed. Okay, so what does that mean? That word? Right?

  212. It says that Joseph was betrothed? Is it married? Was betrothed to

  213. Joseph? Right? Uh? And what that means is they're as good as

  214. married. They're as good as married. No one else should intervene anymore.

  215. Right, it's not like cee cee. See how all right, let's let's

  216. look and see you it's not it's already agreed, we are married as good

  217. as married, all right, it's called bethrothed, and what does that mean?

  218. So what happens is when their betrowed, the husband normally will go and

  219. prepare, so they have the idea that they are married, the idea that

  220. they are married. So I'm going to prepare myself as if I am married

  221. already. Okay, So the wife will prepare herself as well, and the

  222. husband will prepare herself. That's why the word here is prepared prepare. So

  223. what will happen is because, you know, because you're so used to not

  224. being married, right right, Okay, those who are singles say, okay,

  225. yeah, you're single, right, we all singles, last time married

  226. people, and we're so used to being single. But suddenly your life is

  227. changing, right, And so that's why this thing here was there to help

  228. people get used to the idea before going straight into it. Yeah. So

  229. physically they are not had married yet, and that's why Joseph never had any

  230. you know, of those relations with Mary at that time. And suddenly she's

  231. pregnant, you know, by the Holy Spirit. So that's another story.

  232. We'll put that aside first. But what I'm saying is Hey, listen,

  233. Mary didn't Maceriona is the Holy Spirit, okay, just in case, right,

  234. So she was Jesus was born through a virgin. So anyway, where

  235. was I? Again? So be throwed. And so they're getting used to

  236. the idea of that they are married first, So what does that mean?

  237. You know, maybe if they had all this exus, ex girlfriend, ex

  238. wifefriend, they have to cut it all off, right, I'm married,

  239. ready. I got to get used to the idea I'm married. Okay,

  240. I've got to learn to cook maybe I know if you've never cooked before,

  241. and now I've got to learn to cook for two persons, at least for

  242. my husband. And so they are getting ready and so and maybe it's also

  243. a time you know, they will tell people I'm married already, all right.

  244. This is my husband introduced two people the marriage. And so that's why

  245. I understand this as that Jesus saying that I go to prepare a place.

  246. But now again, it's very interesting. What does Jesus need to prepare?

  247. Isn't he already prepared? I believe he is. He is, but he's

  248. speaking so that we understand it. He's already prepared. He's the first and

  249. the last he knows everything is done at all, because that's why I say

  250. it is done. It is finished, right, but it is now The

  251. question now goes back to us, the bride. Are we prepare? Are

  252. we prepare? So Jesus the bridegroom got married to us, the bride the

  253. church, and so they say, hey, now it's a Betrow situation.

  254. I'm going to prepare. How about you? How about you? So we

  255. also need to prepare. We need to get used to the idea we are

  256. married and the single people, all right, we are married to Jesus Christ

  257. already, right, the church is married to Jesus, meaning throw away all

  258. your ex boyfriend and girlfriends, right, whatever you used to worship, put

  259. it all aside now because you have one god. You're worshiping Jesus. Yeah,

  260. and that's where we are going. That where, and you may be

  261. also. And because we're already in a relationship in that way, we have

  262. we should have a longing to want to be with Jesus, a longing to

  263. want to be with the one that we love, a longing to serve the

  264. one we love. And so there's a change of our mindsets here, all

  265. right. So in a way Like, physically, we're not with Jesus yet,

  266. all right, and but in our mind we are in We are already

  267. in that relationship, not as testing testing. See how see how it's already

  268. in that engaged Yeah, it's already engaged. Hallelujah. And then and uh,

  269. you know all the merrit people you know, Uh, I tell you

  270. can't understand this right last time? We have a lot of friends. Yeah,

  271. and then we have like some of the ladies I don't understand fully,

  272. but they have they have good good guy friends, good guy friends, just

  273. friends. Okay, but then married, No, can still have good guy

  274. friends? Husband know answer? I said, noah, no, na,

  275. right, Mary really don't should should I have good guy friends? Guys are

  276. so Mary already shouldn't have good girlfriends? Sounds sounds weird, right, good

  277. girlfriends okay? Anyway, So that's why we have to say, yeah,

  278. okay, no more already won't hang out you know that they like we used

  279. to because I'm married now, so meaning you know, we serve only Jesus

  280. and nothing else, all right, everyone doing? Okay? Yeah that where

  281. I am that you may be also and you know the way to where I

  282. am going, you know, the way. So listen, this is also

  283. very interesting. I find you know the way. And then the next thing

  284. what happens is Thomas, I think talks. You know, next verse is

  285. did the point come up already? So don't be an't prepared. We are

  286. the ones who need to prepare. Jesus is prepared. He goes to prepare

  287. a place, but actually he's prepared. But we are the ones who need

  288. to prepare, okay, because we're in a mutual relationship, right, if

  289. you've decided to follow you Jesus, you're in that relationship, right, And

  290. so we need to prepare by getting used to the idea that we're serving this

  291. awesome God and man, and he's good, right, he's good. He

  292. loves us and we long to be with him. Okay, we won all

  293. right, all right, here we go, Thomas said to him. So

  294. remember the line before that was you know where you are going? You know

  295. he already said that. But then Thomas says, this, Lord, we

  296. do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?

  297. So kind of clueless? All right, Sometimes that's how God works. And

  298. he's like, you don't know a readier? Hello, I thought I already

  299. explained I've already done a lot of things for you, and you're still asking

  300. these questions. It's God real, right, So sometimes I think God will

  301. be like looking at us, go like I thought I showed the miracle already.

  302. I thought I made the heavens and the earth, and the Son works

  303. in a miraculous way that no one can explain, and we still ask a

  304. question. It's got real, all right? So anyway back to this clueless

  305. right, So Thomas is clueless where you're going? I don't know, you

  306. know? How can we know? So Jesus says very clearly to him right

  307. now again, Okay, okay, all right, you don't know, but

  308. now I'm telling you I am the way. I am the way. You

  309. don't know the way. I'm telling you now, I am the Way,

  310. the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

  311. Okay, help whatever, Okay, all right, I am the Way,

  312. the Truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through

  313. me. Ah, So what does this mean? We've heard this before,

  314. the Way, the Truth, and the Life. So what do we understand

  315. when we hear that Jesus is the way? So if there's anyone here,

  316. you are lost. You feel lost, You're not sure where you're going,

  317. You're not sure about your direction. Jesus tells you again, I am the

  318. way you want to know, the way. You want to know that your

  319. direction in life. Come to Jesus, have talked to him, have a

  320. relationship with him, and you will know the way, all right. Listen

  321. to him. He will show you the way, and by the Holy Spirit

  322. he will guide you. We will have a vision, you know. You

  323. know, sometimes we don't know where to go in life because we don't have

  324. We can't see the future. We can't see what is ahead. But when

  325. we look to Jesus, we can we already see the future. Meaning firstly,

  326. all right, one of God tells us that we are to conform into

  327. his image, the image of Jesus Christ. So if you don't know what

  328. else to do in life, if you don't know what us to do in

  329. life? You say, should I be a pilot? Should I be an

  330. engineer? Should I be a criminal? Just kidding? All right? Should

  331. I be a good husband? I don't know what should I become? Lah?

  332. Let me tell you the one answer you can at least know is you

  333. need to be like Jesus. Can also can also, carpenter is good business

  334. anyway. Yeah, not only that, that's a good one. Thank you

  335. for that. Who said that? And he said, yeah, not only

  336. carpenter, he was a builder. Jesus Christ was not only a carpenter.

  337. He was creator, He was counselor, he was doctor. He healed the

  338. sick, he can raise the day. I don't know what you call that

  339. God. Okay, So you want to be you don't know what you need

  340. to be, You don't know where you need to go. At least start

  341. with this. Be like Jesus, because that's what the word of God tells

  342. us. I am the way, right, So anyone here you feel like

  343. I don't know what's my direction. I'm lost. What does Jesus say?

  344. I am the way? Now? The truth? What does that mean?

  345. We say I'm the truth? Okay? We know there's a lot of lies

  346. being bombarded, you know, into our minds these days, into our brains

  347. social media. YouTube, right, Netflix? Oh my Netflix? Okay,

  348. all right, anyone thinks next Netflix is harmless, full of stuff, okay,

  349. full of stuff you shouldn't be watching there. But anyway, the truth.

  350. There's a lot of things being told to us. There's a lot of

  351. lies being bombarded into our minds right, and sometimes we feel overwhelmed, and

  352. sometimes we are so deceived we're actually accepting it. I'll tell you one thing

  353. I did. I don't know what it is, very friendly or not right?

  354. Recently after looking at so many I mean, I sometimes I scroll on

  355. Facebook, but after looking at the things right, I go like, do

  356. I really need to read this information? Some people are you know, like

  357. different dealing people. They're posting stuff, and I go like, why am

  358. I reading all these things? And what I did was, okay, I

  359. don't follow me now. But if I unfollowed, not unfollowed it because I

  360. didn't unfriend people that they one very obvious they will see unfriendly. Okay,

  361. but how go I have to add this guy is a friend? Again,

  362. I didn't unfriend anyone, I just unfollowed. I stopped following the posts because

  363. I find like, why am I reading this? Why do I need to

  364. know? This information is taking up my time? And so when I unfollowed

  365. some of these people, I realized the only thing that's left is information that

  366. I actually want to know, Like I want to know how the Football Association

  367. of Malaysia is doing. I actually want to know that, because honestly,

  368. how good the football team is. I followed Dream malays Football and you know,

  369. I see the results. Oh you know, they're winning. They're winning

  370. all the time. Now by the way, the top of the league still

  371. hallelujah. Okay. And then I see Pastor Samuel Tin from Manma, you

  372. know, posting stuff in Manma language, but thank god the translation or something.

  373. And so so I get all this stuff and I go like, hey,

  374. I felt slightly sad because I go like, I don't know, this

  375. is all my friends? Is this all my friends? F A M DVFC

  376. pus the seventeen okay, fine, still fine, right? Uh? Passa

  377. Lazarus from Botswana, passa chin. Yeah, I must be there, Okay,

  378. I do follow, okay. And so I go like, oh,

  379. now I don't have these other voices saying stuff. I don't don't ask me.

  380. I don't want to name anyone, but I don't think it's not it's

  381. none of anyone of you here. I still follow all of you here if

  382. you're on my Facebook, and I realized a lot of you are not on

  383. Facebook anyway, So well done, well done, Okay, that is awesome.

  384. You don't need to be anyway, by the way, maybe on Instagram.

  385. Okay, So I realized after a while, of course I was sad.

  386. I go like, ay, oh, now I realized, I know

  387. that those usual friends posts are not there. But then I also felt very

  388. free. I felt now so much read him. I felt like, Okay,

  389. I don't have to be on the Facebook so long anymore. But like

  390. that's all, that's all, that's all I need to see, that's all

  391. I'm reading. Okay, fine, close it, all right, move on

  392. to something else. And what I'm trying to say here is there's so much

  393. stuff, so much information, you don't need to know that it's going into

  394. your mind, right, But Jesus says I am the truth. And actually

  395. he's the He's the His words are the stuff that you need to hear,

  396. all right, uh and uh. And sometimes we don't like Toula, we

  397. wanna, you know, have some juicy stories, right, but the truth

  398. is what we need to know. And so Jesus says I am the truth.

  399. We don't know what else to listen to, who else to look to

  400. listen to? Jesus? All right, and thank god, there's a lot

  401. of Uh. There's also a lot of people who make content based on the

  402. Word of God. Now, and so you can, Stephanie is still read

  403. the Bible and also listen to some of these things that other people are producing,

  404. because so many other content, right, and sometimes it's so hard to

  405. find a content that talks about God. Right, So look to Jesus.

  406. He is the truth. Amen. And then finally he is the life.

  407. He is a life. Right. There's some other verses there. Hey,

  408. no, no, no, I wanted to see John Ada John Nay.

  409. Yeah. Right, And you'll know the truth and the truth will set you

  410. free. Which is what I say just now about the truth. The truth

  411. will set you free. Jesus will set you free. And then the other

  412. one is Philippines one one for to me, to live is Christ and to

  413. die is gain. Jesus says, I am the Life. And then Paul

  414. says to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. You

  415. know, it's so wonderful to know the Jesus life, the Jesus life meaning

  416. you know, serving in church, loving others, being forgiven right, knowing

  417. that God is on your side, He protects you, he will provide for

  418. you. Remember what we started with, Do not let your hearts be troubled

  419. and to know the life that God gives to us the way that He wants

  420. us to live. Abundant life, you know, life free from sin,

  421. life free from darkness. Isn't that the wonderful life? All right? Some

  422. of us are still struggling with that. But I want to tell you one

  423. thing I was. I'll end with my bit of a story here. I

  424. used to come from a non Christian background, okay, and I used to

  425. you know, worship different gods, gods, right, different gods, because

  426. my family was from that background. And so I was raised up that way,

  427. and so I was going to different places of worship, temples and stuff

  428. like that, and you know, you know, we had like an altar

  429. in the house as well, and so I grew up that way as a

  430. young child. And then my uncle, who is the only Christian at that

  431. time in the family, decided to bring us to church. So when all

  432. right, thank God, my mom was okay with that to let us go,

  433. and so we went the first day I stepped into church in my life.

  434. I don't know how many of you here remember that, or you know,

  435. I'm not sure how many of you here you're from a non Christian background,

  436. and then when you step into church, that experience that you had.

  437. I'm sure you can remember it until now, hopefully. But me, when

  438. I stepped to the church for the first time, all right, it was

  439. some church in Sungai way somewhere. I can't remember exactly, but I can

  440. always ask my uncle again. He's still there, by the way. He

  441. said, I only brought you to church for fun. I don't know that

  442. you became a pastor, all right, But anyway, praise a lot,

  443. okay, So bring your friends to church for fun and they'll become a pastor.

  444. Okay, hallelujah. All right, So anyway he brought me to church

  445. for fun. We're to church. The first day I stepped into church,

  446. the experience I had was so wonderful. Because I've been to so many places

  447. of worship, I don't feel the same way every time I go into all

  448. these other places, right because my parents go and I go, and I

  449. had a skin problem at the time. I go there, and I pray

  450. pray to these you know, God's statues, and the thing I remember feeling

  451. when I stepped into those places is fear. It's fear because they look at

  452. the faces of the like okay, and why is so angry, you know,

  453. and why they're so scary sometimes? And so the only thing I feel

  454. is fear, although there is a kind of a feel as if there's peace

  455. because it's quiet, but little, you know, the truth is I felt

  456. fear. And uh. But then when I stepped into church for the first

  457. time that time when I was a child. This is my experience. I'm

  458. not putting anything down. I'm not putting any religion down whatever. All right.

  459. I don't know where some of you are from still from that background,

  460. but I'm just telling you my experience, all right. So when I stepped

  461. into church for the first time that day, when I heard the singing,

  462. I go like, why they sounds so happy? This is joy. It's

  463. not happy, you know, it's not just happy. Is joy? They

  464. have joy, they have freedom and there is like a love that's going on

  465. there. And this is me hearing it from far. Then when I went

  466. into it, I felt like warmth. There's like a warmth going on.

  467. Something is going on here, and it's not scary, it's not scary,

  468. it's not fear. I don't feel fear anymore. And so I went on

  469. and on, you know, we went to church again and again because I

  470. loved it and so you know, and thank God, you know, he

  471. he led me and I grew and you know, of course here I am

  472. now today. But what I'm trying to tell you is there's so many people

  473. around us that need to experience that. Some of us have forgotten that.

  474. Yeah, but I want to remind you, and you go back to that

  475. day again when you came into God's house and what you experienced there, and

  476. you go like this, my friend needs to feel this too. My friend

  477. needs to hear this too, and please then bring them, bring them all

  478. right, and the rest of us here, you know, we will do

  479. our best to love them, to care for them, to connect with them.

  480. You know. That's why our worship is so important. Worship team,

  481. all right, Yeah, I know you have to wake up very early.

  482. But when you play, play it to the Lord because someone needs to hear

  483. it. Someone needs to hear it. I'm sure the hotel staff here are

  484. very blessed. Every Sunday they're hearing like oh please sing. In fact,

  485. actually told me before, we love the singing plea sing oh the words.

  486. You know, I don't know. I may not fully agree, but then

  487. They love it, They love us, they love us being here all right,

  488. So don't feel afraid to come to church. They love us yeah,

  489. and we love them too. So I want to tell you someone needs to

  490. experience the presence in the power of Jesus Christ. The way, the truth

  491. and the life is so amazing. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
