  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message will light up your day. Today's word of God to us, not by me, but the Holy Spirit leading us in this world. Okay, it's going to be taken from Second Kings chapter five, verse one to fifteen. All right, So the title of my message is be here see the screen. Can you read that? Be here the word of God today. The title of the message today. If you want to write on your notes, you can write there, be here, okay, be here, be present, meaning to say, be present, okay, be present, that all may know, that all may know is the theme of our church this year, all right, this season of our lives. Right, our founding senior pastor has declared that all may know, that many others will know about who Jesus Christ is and his love for us. Right. So, and today's message specifically, I really feel, you know, just many thinking thing on the word of God. The title of this message be here, be present. Okay. Now let's read from Second Kings chapter five, verse one to fifteen. Right. I was this message was birth out of my quiet time with the Lord. Also recently and also on what God And it's amazing you know, when I was just pondering about the what Holy Spirit that you want to speak to your precious people today, and I was also doing my quiet time, and many times when I read the Word of God, the word that all may know always jump out, you know, It's always there, and I'm like, hey, actually, it's a lot a lot in the Bible. You know, if you could, you know, if you've heard the different messages that have been shared throughout these weeks or this year, all right, the word that all may know jumps out every time. Feels like God is telling us that we need to get everyone to know who Jesus Christ is. And he has. God is so gracious enough to give us examples over examples in the world of God, and today this precious example will be for us today. Okay, Second King, chapter five, verse one. Let's read it. Okay, right before we read it, let's have the map, the first map out, the map that shows of the the area of Israel. Then, okay, Israel. Then you say on the top or on the north east, right northeast, that's where Syria is. Okay, then we can zoom into the next slide right, so that's Israel and Syria okay. So the background of Second Team Kings chapter five is this where we have a group of Syrians and also Israelites. Okay, and next light, that's a focus on Mascus and Semiria. So I asked chat jipt hey, chat jepty, how far is Semi and the Mascus in the Book of Second Kings chapter five. It tells me it's about thirty kilometers, So I say, thirty kilometers? How how is that relating to cyber Jaya? Okay, So if you're here in Cyberjaya thirty kilometers away, it's like going to Epopo is another town up north in Malaysia. No, no, sorry, sorry sorry sorry? Zero? Yeah forgot zero? Yes, three hundred km, Yes, about going to Epo? Okay, going to Epo and yeah, so can you imagine someone from Ipo coming down to cyber Jaya. It's similar to that, right, Ypo is about there also north northeast of Somnanda of the Peninsula of Malaysia. Right the Mascus. Someone from Da Mascus going to Samiria. All right, So this is the background of the story, and we shall from Second King chapter five, verse one. Now, Naeman, so there's this guy named Naeman. Who is he Naeman, commander of the army of the King of Syria. Wow, so he is the commander of the army of the King of Syria. Was a great and honorable man in the eyes of his master. So who is the master of Naman is the King of Syria. Okay, So this Naman, He's the commander of the King of Israel. He is great an honorable man in the eyes of his master, the King of Syria. Because by him Naman, Because by Naman, the Lord had given victory over Syria. Okay, wait, wait, wait, it is a bit confusing. Now why is God giving victory of the enemies of Israel? Right, it's a bit confusing. God, can you actually do this? You know when I when I upon this verse, God reminds us that, hey, he can use anyone, He can even give victory to our enemies. Wow. Wow. You know it challenges our faith sometimes a God, why are you doing this? Wow? God is setting up something here. Yeah, be encouraged, my brothers and sisters. God is still good. Amen, Tell your neighbor. God is good. God is good? Right, right, and yes, okay, And it continues to say it in the next sentence, he was also a mighty man of valor. Wow, super strong, he fights. He's a mighty man of valor, but a leper right. Wow. So this guy, he's the commander of the army of King of Syria, his great and honorable man, and because of him, the Lord God of Israel had given victory over Syria. He is a my men of Valor, but his leper lepper is a skin disease caused by bacteria. Okay, and commander, this commander Nama was a great and honorable man in his master's eyes because God has enabled him to do so. But he is successful and capable, but has a problem and a weakness, even even with our enemies or the people that we think is our enemy. Okay, but you know, in every weakness, God wants to reveal himself to us. Right, in every weakness, whether it's a weakness of ourselves, weakness of others. Right, his grace is sufficient, you know, just claiming it from Second Charrinthians, Chapter twelve, verse nine. His grace is sufficient and his power is made perfect. In every weaknesses, including the weaknesses of others. God wants to show his power, right, God wants to show how great he is therefore most gladly, I will rather boast in my informities that the power of Christ may rest upon me. That's from Second Corinthians, chapter twelve, verse nine. Okay, if you want to write that in your notes, you can Second Corinthians, chapter twelve, verse nine. Okay. The God of Israel, yes, yeah, I was also reading about this, like, hey, how can this even happen? But it says, yeah, the God of Israel is responsible for victory or defeat in battles. So in the Bible times there's always war going on, you know, fighting over the land seems like sounds like today Ozola. So there's always war over claiming the land right, and in that time, in the Bible times, the God of Israel is always responsible for the victory or defeat in battles, even to the enemy, the enemy of the Israelites. They know that the God of Israel is responsible for all victories or defeat because they have seen how the the how the God of Israel cause victories for for for Israelites and also to the enemies for different reasons. They know, they know, so they know the God of Israel so powerful. No matter which gods may be worshiped by the victorious or the defeated people. So it's amazing that land, that land people know, whoever win is because the Lord God, the Lord Capital l or Capitol ohal r kept people d l r D, the Lord God of Israel is responsible for that. So there are so in practical sense, they are everyday miracles, that is from the Lord. Do we see it and acknowledge them and acknowledge God? You know every day there is small victories if we can see them. Amen, Yes, that's every day there's grew small victories like like what name and is experiencing? He has he here, it says in verse one, because of him, the Lord had given victory of over Syria. So in this time actually there is this victory, but he is a leperd Right, Okay, At this time the Syrians don't worship the Lord God Almighty, even though they know that it is the Lord that has enabled them to win battles. Then, okay, right, and the Syrians verse two. Now we are in verse two, second King, chapter five, Verse two, and the King and the Syrians had gone out on raids and had brought back captive of a young girl from the land of Israel. She waited on na Man's wife verse three. Then she said to her mistress, if only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria, right, for he would heal him of his lap prosed. Verse four. And Naaman went in and told his master, saying, thus and thus says the girl who is from the land of Israel. Right. So just now we saw the map, right, Syria conquered Israel and had raided that land, the land of Israel, and has taken some of the possessions, including this girl. Okay, So now the focus, you know, if you're making movies, then this there's a focus on this girl, this slave girl, right and and you and we can hear and we can see that this girl. Okay, it's it's really what God is who God is using in this story, right and in this in this verse verse two, verse three, verse four, Naman sound very desperate for healing. Why because in the days, leapers do not have a cure like COI went to the doctor for thirty lighties. Oh God, spray all lappers. There no cure. Doctor cannot kill. Hear you, I think there's no cure for lappers. I think I was also asking GPT. So when did the cure lapers? It was only in the nineteen eighties. I don't know, yeah, I don't know. Doctor's no. In the nineteen eighties a World Health organization introduced MDT multi something yes, uh yeah or something something yes. So it's later later of the years. So then there's no cure. So whether you you live with it and die with it, or something supernatural happened to you, but usually the earlier case is usually the case, all right, the supernatural one is like one in a million, now, okay, So if you are in normal shoes, it's like the moment you hear something can cure your lappers your disease, right, it's like, yes, let's go for it. Okay. I think he didn't even think about like is this person true or not, but somehow he believed right right, and God used this young slave girl to share about the solution to the problem. Wow, this young girl. I'm just focusing on this young girl. Everyone here who is young, okay, I want to ask you to raise your hands. Okay, it's okay. You know who you are, whatever age you are, okay, young or whatever whatever season you are at, know that God can use you to be a solution to a problem. Right, like this young girl quoting from Secontimothy forwards twelve, if you want to write your notes, second Timothy Forwards twelve in the NIV version says, don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. Amen. Yeah, second Timothy for all us twelve. Right, Okay, so this is this is really really our focus for today. This young slave girl. Okay, she was present, She was here with Naman, right, she is present and despite her age, young or old, right, And she pointed Naman to Jesus or okay, Jesus then doesn't exist yet, but she pointed Naman to the God of Israel. She remembered, right, a prophet who can heal? Who can heal this leper? And interestingly, I still remember, I don't know how many of us were around when Pasta Jack as she shed on this same scripture. And I remember Passa Jack was saying about this young girl, this young girl. Can you imagine this young girl, she's from the land of Israel. How has how has the culture been for her to a point that she was so convinced that even when she is out of her own country, she can recommend the God of Israel to Naaman who doesn't know Christ. I doesn't know the God of Israel. Then right, it's amazing. I think a lot of us here are from other countries as well. Right. It's the God that you have experienced back in your home country, the same God that is here right here with you right now. Yeah. And if you see your friends around you, or your colleagues around your, your lecturers around you, who is going through a terrible time and you have that answer, would you be the solution to the problem? Would you recommend Jesus Christ to them? Amen? Be here, be present, be present to the people around that God has placed us in. Amen. Yeah, it's very natural for us to complain. I I have to admit that it's very very natural for us to complain about things around us, everything under the sun. But today God want to remind us to be present, to be grateful, to be present, and to be here. Amen, let's continue. Verse five. Then the King of Israel said sorry. Verse five, the King of Syria said go now. So King of Syria is telling Naman, okay, go now, and I will send a letter to the King of Israel. So he departed. So Na'aman took the letter from the King of Syria to King of Israel. So so remember as Syria and Israel their enemies. Okay, so imagine can you imagine? Can you imagine King of Syria sending someone like Namman who has a leopard problem to you to the enemies. You know, it doesn't sound bad because because Nama was desperate, okay, he needs, he wants to be here, and the king was so favorable. It's okay, even though they are our enemies. Just go out write a letter. So much favor right this Numan so good? Anyway, let's continue. So Nama departed and took him took with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shackles of gold, and ten changes of clothes. What does that mean in Malaysian ring gid anyone knows? So I asked chad jipity again, Sorry, I use a lot of chagipity. Not to ask the word of God chagipity, don't. I asked Holy Spirit for the word of God. Only those like small, small things to convert, like for example, this ten talents of silver, six thousand shackles of gold and ten changes of clothes. So I asked chagip to convert it in Malaysian ringad. What is all this in Malaysian riggate? So Chagipity told me, and Ralph ask him it about twenty million ringd Okay. So this namman is carrying all all these things or that work twenty million ring it over from Damascus to Syria. Sorry, so Syria som Syria to Israel, okay, hoping that this shall be the gifts to the King of Israel and also to the prophet that will heal him. Okay. So he was thinking, okay, maybe I can pay them in order to get my healing. Okay, when he paid how much for your spray? This why no man is paid to bring it? Twenty million ring it? Okay? Wow? Serious, he's desperate. He's desperate, okay. So verse seven in Second Kings Chapter five, Verse seven, And it happened when the King of Israel read the letter that he tore his clothes. Wow, what's in the letter anyway? And and the I mean the letter only tells tells the King of Israel please please heal this man. Right in verse six, we can see that the letter says to to heal Naman of his leprosy. So it happened in verse seven, And it happened when the King of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, am I God to kill and make a life, that this man sends a man to me to heal him for his leprosy. Therefore, please consider and see how he's seeks to quarrel with me. Are yo yo, are yo? You know sometimes uh, you know, in this, in this, in this two verse, I was just pondering about it. It's such an innocent, innocent letter or innocent request. It's a very simple innocent request. But the receiver when he received it, it can misinterpret it to be something else. Right, Oh, you know it's it's it's yeah, yeah, you know, it's yeah. It happens, right. I think all of us can understand, right, and maybe we may be going through it, or we may be a recipient of it as well. Yeah, And many times I also come to understand that there is always a misunderstanding. And you know, I'm reminded. The Holy Spirit reminded me that, you know, about mindfulness. I have this note on mindfulness. It says mindfulness is actually be in the present moment without judgment. So the moment when you receive it means like the moment, for example, like this this letter from the King of Syria. Right, if I were the King of Israel practicing mindfulness, meaning to say, be in the present moment without judgment, Okay, even though he's my enemy, I'm supposed to be in the present moment without judgment, okay. So receiving the letter to to this request saying that to to find a healing, a cure for Latinaman's le proceed. But no, of course, I mean, we are all human beings, right, There is a tendency of who is this letter from? Right, and yeah, and especially if it's from your enemy, somebody that you really don't like, and it comes to you and like where is this? Yeah, so that's why the King of Israel clothes, right, and yeah, we can understand. Right. But in verse eight it says, so it was when Elishah, the man of God heard the King of Israel had torn his clothes, that he sent to the king saying, why have you torn your clothes? Why this drama? No need drama all this? Start telling your clothes don't need Why have you torn your clothes? Please let him come to me, and he shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. Here's a powerful verse. If you want to underline it in your verse, in your in your Bible, you can do it in verse eight, he says, and he shall know. Now this is the one that stood up about that all may know. He shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. That you can underline that right, and then put the year this year, twenty twenty four. You want to put the amandos who can may May nineteen today? Right? He shall know that there is a prophet in Israel. Does does our family know that there is an ambassador of Christ in our family? Does our friends know that there is a representative of the Almighty in their myths? Come on? Does our classmates know that there is a son or a daughter of the Most High God with them in their meads, in their class that's our college or university? Wow? Do they know that there is someone who has God's presence and power in them to only do what God can do studying among them? Do they know? Does our office or company know that there is a disciple of Christ who is working among them. Do they know? Come on, it's a question for all of us, including myself. I was so convicted when I read this verse. Wow, our, it's a good heart check. Wow. And Prophet Elisha was was really bold enough to say, King, just bring him to me, Bring him to me. Don't need drama there, you're close, No, just come bring him okay. So in verse nine it continued to say, then na man went to went with his horses and chariots, and he stood at the door of Elijah's house. Wow. He came in his all, his gold and silver and changes of clothes, bout twenty million everything, his houses and genants. He's coming, stood in front of the door of Elishah. He's desperate. Verse ten, and Elishah send a messenger to him. Elisha don't even go to him, But he sends his messenger to him, saying, go and wash in the Jordans seven times, and your flesh shall be restored to you, and you shall be clean. He is the instruction, right, Just go to the Jordan, wash yourself seven times, and your flash will be made well and you shall be clean. Right. I think in other translations says you will be healed or yeah, you'll be kured right and back to the map just now. So yes, as you can see the Mascus there, case Sameria down there, okay, and Samaria to the Jordan River. The Jordan River is right the south of the Sea of Galley. That's flowing downwards, okay, towards the Dead Sea. Okay. So that's the Jordan River, and that's Samaria. Sona so Israel. Prophet Elisha was telling Naman to go and wash in the Jordan river, okay, Verse eleven. But Naman became furious. He was angry. I came all the way from Epo to Cybergai sorry, sorry, from them Damascus to to to to to Samaria. Okay, I come all the way three hundred km. And he was so angry. He became furious and went away. Said, indeed, I said to myself, he will surely come out he here, referring to Prophet Laisha, he will surely come out and stand and call on the name of the Lord his God, and where gave his hand over the place and him the leprosy. So he had an expectation. Naman had an expectation. Verse twelve. Are not the Abana and the far par the rivers of the Mascus better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean? So he turned and went away in rage. So back to the map just now, So this river of Abana and far par correctly? Okay, ah, yes, that one. So you can see up north northeast right, the Mascus is there, and you can see the river of Abana and Parfar is very near the Mescus. Why why this Elisha, just this prophet Elisha tell Naaman to go wash in the Jordan river. But and he can even wash himself in Albana and Far Power. Why I tried to google some pictures about these two rivers. I'm sure he's very beautiful, but I cannot guarantee his accuracy, so I'm not displaying it here. Okay. And I heard that today the rivers are still that, still existing. It's a beautiful river, right, so I can imagine Naman say, are you our rivers better than Jordan river? Okay? Why one go to wash there? Okay? Why why come all the way here? Okay, I'm just to wash myself. But there is the word of God spoken. Okaynman had an expectation, oh yeah, and he had an expectation he hold that prophet Elijah will come and call on his God and wave the hand. Sometimes when we have when we have a need, right, and you feel our need, can I can I let Olivia pray? I need past the No, no, no, I need past the cannot to pray for me? You know something like that. Okay, sorry if I didn't mean by anyone, Okay, but you know this kind of expectation, right, Oh, I need? Why? Why can't work the messenger came right? Why probably Elaishah didn't come himself and wave his hand and call on his God. Right? Are the expectations that we have from God that we have not received yet? Do check our hearts? Even even when I was preparing this message, this question. Is there something that I am expecting from God that I have not received yet? Is it because that God has already spoken? Maybe he has already spoken every Sunday. You come to church every Sunday, and the Word of God is being preached and spoken right before you, and we hear it or be believe with our ears, Praise the Lord. We can hear. Some people cannot hear. But yes, the word of God has been spoken every day. Very simple thing like, go and wash yourself in the Jordan river seven times and you'll be healed. Right. Is there something that you're expecting from God that has not that you have not received yet? Wow? Think about it all right? The Word of God says in Psalms chapter ninety five, verse seven to eight. You can write in your notes Psalms chapter ninety five, verse seven to eight. It says, for He is our God. Psalms chapter ninety five, verse seven to eight. He says, for He is our God, and we are his people, of his pasture and the sheep of his hand. Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, as in the day of trial in the wilderness. Yeah, the word of God is spoken today. Don't harden your hearts, brothers and sisters. I'm also speaking to myself. Don't harden my heart, Olivia, be soft towards the word of God. Because when even you know, I always believe that God will always always give us a instructions for us to obey that we can do it. He won't ask us to do something that we cannot do it. I truly believe it. Yeah, he whatever he does and of course there may be times when he will tell you to do that impossible because you need, we need to trust in him. Right and when and usually is the it's very easy. And sometimes it's so easy that we think that God really not? Is this really you so so simple? Is it not like you know, doing something else? But yeah, but God is speaking, I believe in our hearts. God, God, God is reminding us of this again. Amen. Right. Our God is a God who doesn't ask us for something that we can we do not have, or we cannot do. Right. Yeah, he knows us and he's our creator. He won't ask us to do something like our teachers. Our teachers have exams for us to pass, not to us. Right. He same as our God. Our God is good. He knows us, and he's our creator. He wants us to learn something about him, to trust him in every step, simple instructions that we can follow. Yeah, and his ways are higher and his thoughts are higher. Always be reminded of that. Isaiah, chapter fifty five, US eight to nine. Right, let's continue. Second Kings was chapter five is the teen and his servants came near and spoke to Naaman and said, my father, if the prophet had told you to do something great, would know would you not have done it? How much more than when he says to you wash and be clean? Right, I'm like, wow. Even the servants got it. The servants believed. No man cannot cannot comprehend. He's enraged. You know, sometimes when you get angry, right, we cannot think properly. So I always tell my kids, right whenever they get angry. Okay, when you get angry, while you do you walk away and breathe and go to the corner and think why am I angry? Okay? Sometimes I also trying to practice it. Also when you get angry, we our minds are clouded and we cannot think properly. Right. So even the servants, and you know in this, in this scripture, servants are being used this young slave girl, the servants people around us, you know and know that sometimes God can also use us wherever, whatever positions we are, whatever God has placed us with, to speak out, to speak the truth. We hear the word of God. We can speak the truth. Let's speak it with bondness like the servants. Can you imagine if the servants was afraid of Namman, no like and not lies Okay, you he may his decision. Okay, we follow off. No, but I think the servants so one Noman to be healed because he's a great and honorable man. Right, And I believe the servants are being loved by Noman, I'm sure, because he's such a good man. So the servants want Naman to be healed as well. So there's the servants will also called Naman my father, wah, my father, so meaning to say, Noaman could be so kind to these servants. So the servers wants Naman to be healed, right, So amazing this relationship, right, you can see that, so and you know, so kind of them. Verse fourteen continues. So Naman, of course, eventually he listened and and just obeyed verse fourteen. So he went down and deep seven times in the Jordan, according to the saying of the Man of God, and his flesh was restored like the flash of a little child, and he was clean. Amen, the miracle happened. The miracle happened after the obedience by faith. Very simple. Today's message is so simple, so simple that I wish, like why am I medic? They think so many hours about this God God. It's like only praise. Ready. This is the word speak right, This is the word spoken to all of us today, to speak fourth into our community, our family, the people around us. Speak forth. Verse fifteen. And he returned to the manage. Okay, so this no man. He is so amazed, he is so happy, he is his skin is like baby. Right and and yeah, okay, later we were talking so verse fifteen. So na Man returned to the Man of God. He and all his aides and came and stood before him, and he said, indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel. Now, therefore, please take a gift from your servant. Okay, so he is so, he is so convinced now there is no God. So you can underline again. You see, I tell you it's so true that all may no, It's all over the Bible. Okay, so highlight it. Today's day, today's man, May twenty twenty four, right, nineteenth of May twenty twenty four. Now I know that there is no God in all the earth except in Israel. Wow. Now man knows. Now, he knows, he experienced it personally. He has obeyed because of all the voices that had led him to his obedience. Amen, we want to disciple our friends who do not know Christ yet they can be discipled. Do you know that we can disciple our friends who do not know Christ yet, even from even from the place where they don't know Christ? We can because we have we know the Bible. We do not know need to know one hundred percent whatever we know. Like today, this story you can even share with your friends. Write the story of Noaman paymen. Right, So from a non believer to a believer. The Great Man had a problem to which the little girl had the solution. Are we the little girl? Do we see ourselves as the little girl? But God don't see us just as a little girl? Church? The Great Man had a problem to which the little girl had the solution. But the solution involved Naman's becoming like her, a little child, someone under prophetic authority, humbly acknowledging his new faith. Wow. Verse fifteen is really amazing. Right, you can highlight again I'm saying, like so many times, highlight it. Now I know that there is no God in all the earth. Wow. Now man's declaring that. Right. So in Romans chapter ten, verse fourteen to fifteen, if you can turn to your Bibles. You can turn to it. Romans chapter ten, verse fourteen to fifteen. Romans Chapter ten, verse fourteen to fifteen says, how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Wow? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written? How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things? Amen? Amen, I thank God for all the servants around Naman. Otherwise we don't have a story today. Right the servants are you know, cheering Nomana. Don't give up. Come on, go and get your healing. It's just there. It's just right there, so easy. Whoa right? Of course, you can continue to go back home to read verse sixteen until verse nineteen. You will see that Naman he wanted to give the two hundred million right, the two hundred million worth of gifts to Elishah. But Elisha said, no, no, this is from the Lord. I won't accept the gift. But Naman asks that he will take some soil from the land of Israel. Right, can I have two bags of soil to carry on his donkey or on his chariot. Right, bring back soil? Why bring back soil from Israel? Because he wanted to use that soil to go back to the Maskers to build an altar and worship the Lord God of Israel. Dan. He wants. He really he's convinced in faith. He's really convicted that there is a God who has healed him while his revised his turn. You know, before he came from the Mascus, he was an unbeliever, but he goes back to the Mascus, he's a changed man. He has already placed his trust in the Lord. So just a quick testimony. My mother in law, if you all know my mother in law, Andrew's mom is staying with us right and he She used to have a very huge fibroid in her womb for many years. Her friends that meet her daily at our residence park would comment on her big belly is growing bigger by the day. And Andrew brought her for a checkup and scan and found a huge fibroid in her womb. Due to her age, she's about fifty plus right, and the condition of the fibroid, the doctor has advised to remove the antim because the belly was growing, people thought that she was pregnant, right, but at fifty of course. Now it's a bit funny if you if you see that, but of course, yeah, okay. So after the surgery, it was found that she wait lay less at least three kg lighter before surgery. That means the fibroid would be as heavy as a new born baby. Right, So it is the biggest surgery of her life. So while waiting to be discharged from the hospital, I was there with my mother in law in her ward. So she and she freely shared with me about her experience before the surgery. And she was very nervous about the surgery, and she called on the name of Jesus Christ to be with her true the surgery. She is a prey. She doesn't believe in God, okay, she believed in other gods. But there I was there and she was sharing with me about it, and I'm like, really, okay, so so amazing, so so amazing. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this verse in Romans chapter ten, verse the teen we sung just now his promises, right, his promises, It's true. Romans chapter ten verse the teen says for whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. And I'm holding on to this word very close to my heart because it's the promise of God. And she declared that she called on the name of the Lord and she shall be saved. Amen. I didn't I didn't strive to conjure up a message of salvation about who Jesus Christ is to my mother in law, who speaks only Mandarin, okay, and she knows very little English language because of because I also have a very limited Mandarin for cap, I experienced what co and and Coy and Noah and see why sp Zero and Holmes experience right well, same same like me. My mother in law speaks Mandarin and I speak English. Okay, I speak very little mandaring vocabulary. I have very little Mendry vocabulary. Okay. I was just there with her, just being there. Okay. It was that simple, all right. So just to share a bit of a story, okay, because she has my mother in law has been staying with us for the past six years, almost six years now, because uh yeah, so she's been with us, Okay, she's been staying with us, and you know, the past six years. This includes during the lockdown during the time of pandemic. I believe what brought my mother in law in the idea of calling on the name of Jesus was probably because she saw how we as a family and drew myself, my kids, we as a family honored the Lord, our God every Sunday, even during the pandemic and lockdown at home. She was with us though she may be doing house chores and locked up in her room most times on Sundays. You know, when we turn on our online worship service, right and we dress our best and we give we sing out loud and we worship God. We sit down and listen to the message. During the pandemic, I think it was this time when the word of God has been planted in her heart. I really thank God because if you all remember, the online worship service was in bilingual, was in English and in Mandarin. I was like praising God, thank you Jesus. The service the church is now in my house. My mother in law because very hard to bring my mother to church. So now mother in law is hearing the word of God from the house and it's being spoken. So I really believe it was then when she has received the Word of God. And you know faith, you know faith comes from hearing the hearing of the Word of God. Right, Yeah, though she may be doing how Charles lock up in her room most times, the songs, the messages, the testimonies were from our living room TV that we that can be heard even throughe the whole house. Okay, really okay, but thank God, I proposially not the volume louder louder. Thank God that the service was in biling World English and English and in Mandry. I believe she may have heard about who Jesus is and the wonders that he has done in the many lives in the Bible, and also true the testimony is shared that brought her to know that she can place her trust in Jesus and call on his name when she needed it most. When she was just before her surgery, she knows how to call on the name of the Lord. Nobody told her to do it, but she could do it because I think she experienced thing before. So like that little girl being present, I always pray God save my my in law, say my in laws. But actually God is already in the process by just us being there, just being here, just being present. So I'm also reminded again from my last month's message about going to office. Don't work from home. Be present, be here. I'm convicted, Yes, be here, be present because God wants to use us. Be present, your your your, your unique friends, your colleagues wants to need God meets us there. Okay, your your, your friends, your family needs us there. Okay, be here, be present where God wants us to be. If you're here in Cyberjaya from another place, whether it's in from Binang or wherever states you're from, be here. The word of God today for us is be here, be present where God wants us to be among our pre believing friends and family, because they are the ones that we can reach. Other passa jack, doctor, Jill myself. I we cannot go there to your friends. You are there. You have that relationship with your friends. They need us there. Okay. If you're writing notes, here are the points here. Okay. First point, h humble, Stay humble in what other position or role that you are in, continue to be faithful in what you have been given. Like that young girl, she was faithful. She didn't resign her job. Okay, she has no choice. Okay, I mean she could have been so bitter. I want I miss my home. I want to ballet cook, I want to go back. No, she has no choice. She was there and she I'm so glad that she didn't come plane or she didn't whine, and she didn't say, Okay, boss, you got leprossy, your leper you have leprosy and dialah, it's okay. I want to I miss my head. No she didn't. She loved her boss. She loved her master enough to present a solution for him. Right. So, same way, let's be humble to allow God to use us. Let's continue to be faithful in whatever that is given to us. In Galation chapter six, US nine, let me read that let us not become very in doing good for at a at the proper time, we will reap the harvest if we do not give up. Amen. Amen. Second point example E be the example. No matter your age, okay, even though first Timothy chapter four austral says young, but let's put our age number there. Let no one despise my age or whatever position I'm in. Whether is it I'm just a consultant, or whether is it I'm just a junior project manager, Whether is it I'm just a student without any role in my university. I'm the least of all. Let no one despise your youth. But be an example to the believers, whether it's the believers or non believers. Here right in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. The world has not enough examples. May I declare that we are the only examples of the earth today, right especially here in Cyberjaya. As we are here, let's be the example. Amen. Next point, are ready, be ready to be the solution to the problem. Like that little girl, There is a reason and purpose for everything under the heaven. Sometimes we go through tough times and trials. We don't understand why God that all these bad things have to happen to us. Like that little young girl she is she is a slave being raided from another country. I'm sure she misses her family. I don't know what happened. The Bible didn't say's about her family. But you know she was grateful for all that she has, and she became the solution to the problem. And we have a story today. Ephicient. Chapter two of the Stand says for we are God's workmanship, his own master work, a work of art created in Christ, Jesus reborn from above, spiritually transformed, we knew ready in Christ. Okay, I'm reading from the amplified version efficient chapter to the stand ready to be used for good works which God prepared for us before hand, taking paths which he set so that we would walk in them, living the good life which He pre arranged and made ready for us. Amazing. Meditate on this verse. Read a different version division chapter to aruds than amazing. Second second point for already is be ready to speak up about the hope that you have. Be ready to speak up. First Peter chapter three, verse fifteen to sixteen says, but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts. Have the Lord, our God, be set apart, okay, honor him Okay, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear, having a good conscience that when we when they defame you as evil doerus, the those who revial your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. Amazing. Okay, be ready to speak up, church, Yeah, brothers and sisters, really, let's be ready. Yeah, be here, be present. Okay. Next point e H E r E the last e established, be established, be rooted in God's word every day, so that we can be ready for what is the point above? Are Okay? How to be ready? We have to have the Word of God with us. Okay, Meditate on Psalms hundred and nineteen. Meditate on Psalms hundred and nineteen is the longest chapter of the Bible, Psalms hundred and nineteen. But it's an amazing, amazing guide to how to love the Word of God and apply in our lives. It's so important. I'll take a portion of Psalm one hundred and nineteen. Verse nine says, how can a young man keep his way pure by guarding he by guarding it according to your word? Amazing? Okay, it's so important, and it's so it's so easy. Yeah, it's so easy. Read the word of God. I don't have to do anything else. Yes, read the word of God every day, every day. Read the Word of God right and think about his the words, think about his word and see how we can apply it in our lives. Psalms chapter one, verse one to three says, blessed is the man who works not in the council of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor seats in the seat of the scornful verse two. But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in his law he meditates day and night. Verse three. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season. Who's lived also shall not wither, and whatever he does shall prosper. Amen, Amen, be encouraged, brothers and sisters, because this is the word of God for us today. In summary, h E R E. Today you learn about here so easy just being there. Sometimes you don't understand why do I need to wake up to go to work, why do I have to go to my class? Because the Word of God has spoken today to be okay, I don't know. It's like to say, bedella, be here, be here, be here, be present wherever God has called us to be present. Whether is it a function when everybody is there and you don't feel like it. No. Remember, let's not live by our feelings or convenience, but let's live by the conviction and according to the word of God so important. Like n'amn, he didn't feel like washing himself. In the Jordan river. He would rather go back to his rivers, but the Word of God says so, and he did it not based on his feelings, but according to his word, to the Word of God. Amen.
