You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I just wanted to share something I caught from
-
the Lord regarding the understanding the father's heart. All right, Luke chapter fifteen.
-
So Luke chapter fifteen, verse eleven. Luke fifteen was eleven. It's
-
about the portigal son. So this morning, I just pray that you were
-
able to just follow. So Luke chapter fifteen, verse eleven says that a
-
certain man had two sons, and the younger of them said to his father,
-
Father, give me a portion of goods step falls to me. So
-
he divided them the livelihood. Friends, I'm not sure how many of you
-
all all ever asked for inhabitants before it's time, But in the Asian Southeast
-
Asian context, that's almost like a big no no asking something before it's time.
-
Now. Uh. Sometimes sometimes I do feel that you know that we
-
are very stubborn in that sense of like we listen to people outside, that
-
we listened to what's at home, if you understand one trying to say,
-
we tend to be more open to outside suggestion that internal where family really matters,
-
and that's part of partive ging in life whereby we are maybe were growing
-
up. When we're growing up, we our friends play a big part in
-
our growing up years. When parents say no, our friends say you can.
-
Then we listens more to our friends than our own parents. Now that's
-
part of a past of growing up in life as well. But here's what
-
I want I wanted to point to you. Number one is this is not
-
number one, but the father, the father, the father of the two
-
boys, decided to part, decided to give, decided to the word is
-
to allow the son to have early inheritance. It speaks up about how much
-
the father really the word is believed in his son. He knows. How
-
may you know that the father really knew what the son is going to do
-
with the money, That dad already knew what the son's go how the son's
-
gonna use the money, because the son track record will show because in no
-
culture that people ask early inheritance. When someone asks early inheritance, there must
-
be a reason. It's not for business, investments of education, it's's for
-
something else. The father already knew. But the father, even though the
-
father knew that the son's intention, the father still gave the father still gave.
-
I want to encourage you and let you know that this morning, I
-
pray that you have a better understanding of our father in heaven. He's hard
-
towards us. Sometimes in our journey, friends, in our journey, we
-
asked for things that we don't even know we're asking for. I'm not sure
-
where they under said that the truth of is your ask for a king.
-
The child of is your ask for a king. And God said, I
-
want to be your king. I want to lead you. Don't be like
-
other nation whereby king leads you allow me to lead you. Human king will
-
ask for higher taxes, the best of the crops, the best of the
-
land to serve the palace. I've been faithful to you in the desert,
-
I've been faithful to you all these years. Allow me to lead you.
-
But the chrulre is you rejected us. As Prophet said, please give us
-
a king, and God gave. God allowed sometimes they ownly. Sometimes we
-
asked for things. I pray that we have wisdom of what we'll be asking
-
for. Because things received too early may not be too good. Things received
-
too early may not be too good. Ends. I pray that you open
-
this one and say God, speak to me, because sometimes you're maybe asking
-
for some things in our life when it's too early. We may not be
-
too good. All right, now, we'se thirteen. Then not many days
-
after the younger son gathered together come on journey to a far country and wasted
-
his possession with probly leaving something you know that it is not. You don't
-
just simply pack your backs and leave. You don't simply pack your backs and
-
leave. We pack our backs and live because we think that we know better.
-
We think that we know better, we think that we can do better.
-
I was explaining this to the AAM service. I say that you know,
-
not many of us here aware of father's clothing, not many of us
-
here. If you, if you're if you're from Malaysia, you understand that
-
unique. All those only came much much later. Right, our parents the
-
choice of clothes they wear majority of us what you want to pick it up?
-
I'm not sure everymy of you heard of the bank called Crocodile, Right,
-
there's another brand called Arrow Arrow Durban. Uh. So we all remember
-
that you go and our dance. So that was the best that they could
-
have. And sometimes the clothes are still very good on the shelf there here,
-
this shirt is really nice. You need to pick up and wear it
-
if you're going for a thematic experience or like you know, like a retro
-
party in your company. Dad, all retro closes. I want to wear
-
it, right, majority of us here won't wear it. And this the
-
youngest son have asked for the inheritance and decided one day, I'll pecker all
-
my belongings, everything I have. I decided to wench out on my own.
-
I want to see with my own understanding. Maybe I could pick it
-
out even that to them, my dad, Maybe I could just try it
-
out now if I know understand people do live home because you know of different
-
situations. But this situation here, it's not here has full of wisdom.
-
But there is a certain prime arrogance in his heart. There is a certain
-
prime arrogance. Sometimes I just I will show it to you. I will
-
show it to you, and sometimes that's us as well. Let's it.
-
Maybe you should consider studying something else. I'll show it to you friends.
-
Nothing wrong with that. But I do feel sometimes our hearts or influence where
-
we do have good values, if we do have good moral compass, if
-
we do true north leaving the home too early. It's not good. When
-
you do have good values or you have good moral compass, your own is
-
leaving your home too early, it's not it's not good. Maybe you see,
-
for example, perhaps you know you know that God calls you to plan
-
the church, and you say, passage, please allow me to plant excident
-
kill please. You know I've been praying, I'll be one thing you know
-
I got, I've done my research reading. I want to go up right
-
now, right now. I cannot wait anymore, says say, wait,
-
wait, I don't wait anymore. I can do it on my own.
-
After I was okay, I wish you did like you. No, it's
-
friends, all of us go through these phases that come out. I'm not
-
knocking anybody. All of us come out if you're honest. Stuff. We
-
were young ones, just like yesterday, right, we were young ones.
-
We went through these faces whereby we think that we can go on our own
-
strength. So the young son decided to journey and it is all wasted.
-
Friends, it just shows to me that his revalues that he has, it's
-
very different from his dad, very different. If you want to go out
-
going with the right values, come on, if you want to leave.
-
Leave with the right values. Don't just leave because you're angry. Don't just
-
leave because that you're attempted. Your friends play a big influence in your life.
-
Tell me we though, he don't just waste on his own. I'm
-
sure he has a group of friends there. The Bible here says it was
-
fifteen that he went and joined himself the citizen of the country. He sent
-
him into the fuse and fits swine friends. This is why he called the
-
Halla culture. This is this what you work, what you call it's not
-
proper Jewish boy feeding the pigs and the chan is even right now he's feeling
-
for the sake of survivor, sell out his culture, sell his belief system.
-
What used to be unclean can now we can become clean for the sake
-
of survivor. Sometimes in our journey of our life is the same thing as
-
well. We will let go of all our venue just to survive, just
-
to feed ourselves, just to put fullard, just to satisfy what we need.
-
Have you ever in a place whereby we give up our call belief because
-
we have to satisfy the internal cravings of our stomach. Have we given up
-
a lot of things in our lives just to satisfy our internal craving. The
-
young boy did friends, A Jewish boy said, being brought up in such
-
a way whereby what's uncleansed and clean you cannot touch. But for the sake
-
of survivor, friends, he has crossed the line for ourself survivors that I
-
got no choice. He thought, he has no choice. And sometimes in
-
our journey of life we always think you have no choice, no choice.
-
Life is like that, I was talking to a young working out. You
-
know these days, friends is very different. I grew up a generation whereber
-
I saw. We saw the birth of handphones. We literally saw the both
-
of handphones. We saw the birth of internet back then. You never understand
-
what doesn't mean to unpluck your telephone night and plug it on more them right?
-
You You never You've never You never knew that you have to wait for
-
your presents and their phone call for you to unplug the tell for like the
-
plan this morning and your press is buttoned just to just to wait for it
-
to dub. We saw the birth of their friends. We saw the birth
-
like I see key was back there was in so we like, what on
-
earth is that? Right? I asked you, I see you understood what
-
it means to get the very first email. We were so happy with tell
-
friends someone emailed me. These days if you go like, please don't email
-
me these days, you don't even want to give our emails out. We
-
saw the birth of that. But as work began to change and bringing handfuls
-
back there was considered a luxury. Now it's a necessity. Right And I
-
was talking to working out. She was telling me the elder, you know,
-
work right now is very different. There's so much pressure at work.
-
Pressure use work, press measure. We are pressure to perform in a way
-
whereby we felt that we couldn't perform. Then, being a churl, I
-
have to bring up different perspective. I just say, look when we say
-
the Bibles. When when the Bible says that we've got all things are possible?
-
What that this statement means? With God all things are possible? What
-
does this statement means in your working career? Because if God only works in
-
the followers of the church, then the scripture has to be phrased differently.
-
With God in the followers of the church, all things are possible. So
-
I say, every believer, every believer, I know, listen to the
-
world of God at least fifty two times a year, minimum fifty two that
-
if you come to church every week, assuming that every for the right given
-
take maybe your holidays and stuffing that right at least for the eight types of
-
year. I say, for the eight types of year. Your faith.
-
Your faith. Your faith must mean something to you at your workplace, must
-
mean something to you at your workplace. Because we say we worship, we
-
declare that we've got nothing's impossible. But yeah, at your workplace. The
-
statement I get back was, but elder, you must understand it's easier say
-
than done. It's easier say than done. How do you understand the Word
-
of God declares it, but it's easier say than of course, But yet
-
that doesn't that doesn't this proved the Bible that we've got all things are possible.
-
I say you look at the life of Joseph. He did not go
-
to Howard Basedess school. He didn't go to Mt ivy Leagues or maybe in
-
this contact MMU the top whichever union right, Sorry here a lecture, Please
-
forgive me. I did not my reference with the mm and CO be Okay,
-
I know that a lot more right, but I did not go to
-
the top university. But yet the Bible says, even in prison, he
-
was the best prisoner. You. We have to think from this perspective of
-
like were news at the end of the day, so that the younger son
-
said he had no choice, no option. I'll sell my birthright. And
-
many times for the sake of survivor, we have sought out our birth right
-
as well. We have sold out just to survive, just to feed the
-
internal cravings. I pray that this message will encourage you because there is always
-
another way. Come verse seventeen, now verse sixteen that he gladly feels he
-
stub out with the pots come on of the swine. You think about your
-
friends, think about it for a moment. I'm not sure how many of
-
us here, but devil with food that will cause us the diarrhea. You
-
eat moldy cheese, there's a possibility of diarrhea. You know some you ever
-
bought cheese before? Right? Sometimes because of work we forgot to eat and
-
stuffing that it comes moldy in your in your in your feet. I'm not
-
sure how many a verse here will cut off the moldy part eat the rest.
-
I would I would. It's moldiness is only a part of the right.
-
The rest is you okay right? How like that this cut out that
-
that that the MOLDI part you eat the rest? Huh right? Okay right
-
the rest? Okay right? But my wife, no moldy, miss molding
-
the whole they contaminated. But show I went like, but my dad also,
-
God, do this, mam. He's still survival to his ad at
-
d year, still alive, no diarrhea. Friends, I'm not sure how
-
many of us in the food that the moment you taste something it's not right,
-
you still continue eating. You must have a different value system. You
-
must have a different revalue system if you're continue eating stuff, which is a
-
possibility of having divehere. And this younger son had a different value. See,
-
your values will reveal what you do on friends, your values, you
-
will read what you do. All of us here have a set of values.
-
It will show in what you do. A lot of people say we
-
love God. Yes, I do not doubt your love for the Lord.
-
But your love for the Lord the value how you value God will reflect and
-
what you do for God? What also so quiet? So the young son,
-
even the pixed food is good enough for me. Come on, even
-
the pigs food is good enough for me. Come worse eighteen or break?
-
She came in worse eighteen. I obviously I have the worst eighteen experience.
-
Then was the worse eighteen? Said I will arise and go to my father?
-
Come on. See a lot of times we desire change, We want
-
to change, a lot of times we tell people to change, like right
-
now, we're pretty go without. You're supposed to live like that. But
-
change would happen until there's awareness. Friends, change won't happen until there's awareness.
-
You know that. That's your parents say. You tell your children,
-
don't do this, and most time most children just obey. We obey rather
-
than we understand. We obey God rather than we understand why cannot. And
-
many times in our lives we obey to the limit to that I think I
-
can, like Eve in the garden. After I eat the apple, I'm
-
still alive. And many times in our life we tell people to change.
-
Change would't happen until there is awareness. Come on right now, And the
-
Bible here says I will arise and go to my father first. If you
-
want change to happen in your life, I pray that your awareness. I
-
finally understood it. Why I need to change, Why I need to change?
-
Until now, friends, until now, I just want to let you
-
know some of us here. Let me just pin the industration for you all
-
right outside clothes, the clothes that you wear. Can you touch a mettriss
-
not? Come on right now? I know I was speaking at the ams,
-
majority of them saying no, something that's killma, like the closer very
-
right now, closer, right now. When you go back home, do
-
you chase your home clothes or do you allow do you allow this clothes to
-
sit on your you allow yourself to see on your baby? This check clothes?
-
No, no time to say something? Something is there close to nima?
-
Huh No, no, no, something is there? Yes in the
-
house? Come on? Is there yes in the house? Yes, yes
-
there, Yes, I see y, yes, I see yes, come
-
on right now. I I I beloved to the yes category, all right,
-
I beloved yes, all right, I belove the yes category. But
-
my wife beloves to no category. She said, dear, if you want
-
to see, this is a gem corner. These guys only see on this
-
corner. So that I really don't understand, I said, germ is everywhere.
-
It's not that our house is very in bubble plastic, hung up pure
-
oxygen. I said, I don't understand this germ concept because I never grew
-
up with it. I never grew up with a family outside clothes. I
-
can nowhere because when I was with my grandparents. My parents comes from a
-
small village, a robber typic village. Majority of that of them, they
-
finish what they just lide down whatever they have, sleeper like we can again
-
to do the world. I belong to the Camra okay, but my wife
-
is a bit more refined, bit more refined. See, you count to
-
change. So there are days, there are days I just take it.
-
But you don't understand germs are everywhere, and besides, you won't die.
-
It's not you. So there are days I experimented. She she she goes
-
on railroad tour with the church. I purposely go back to my church,
-
go back with my outside working clothes. I see on the bit here Now,
-
I wish you were here to tell me, but I won't let you
-
know. I'm lying right, I'm lying down the baby my outside clothes.
-
I just want you. I don't want to be accountable to you. I
-
fell into my weakness. I said the picture to her that She said me
-
back, dear, you know you're testing me right the days I do that,
-
I didn't even tell her that she comes back from what she lies out,
-
that she wakes up. See you feel okay, okay, okay,
-
nothing wrong, goobla. I just want to let you know. I lie
-
that with the outside clothes, and this theory and this test is to prove
-
that nothing wrong with outside clothes. Excuse, husband, do do that?
-
Okay, husband, do that? But friends awareness until I got no awareness,
-
I need to change. I got no awareness unless you're sweaty and said,
-
but come on, he did stread all no awareness. But the young
-
son decided decided because this awareness, he remembers. He remembers in his father's
-
house there were access friends, you and I. Today, I pray in
-
a quiet time, they be aware of how God caeesars. So he said,
-
O will rise and go to my father and say to him I've seen
-
against heaven and before you first awareness awareness will lead to action. First,
-
A lot of times you want action to lead awareness is you cannot turn the
-
other way around. In now words, you do until you become aware.
-
Very hard you give up. The motivation to change is very small. You
-
keep running until you become sleep friends. I can guarantee you after the first
-
two meters you give up because you stop at the mama shop there. It's
-
true. Many time you tell my mom will come and tell me you got
-
to lose weight. You gotta lose weight, you gotta lose it. I
-
thought, my mom, I am my ring. I can take out easier
-
now. But there's no need to change, only because I got no awareness.
-
And sometimes our motivation to change is how parents to tell the Jewets,
-
please clean your room, Please clean your room, the very ways to clean
-
your room. Now. Once I put everything under the mattress, it's clean.
-
The readly on the outside, put everything in another. Shift from one
-
place to another place. Your place is clean. The other places ther tea
-
right, no awareness to change. Let me let me just share my other
-
life story with your sometimes to wear outside clothes? Right, you never sweat?
-
Do you recycle your T shirt? Now? You never sweater? You
-
thick the T shirt? It's not all right? Will you still wear the
-
second day? Okay? Let me forgive you another one jeans? All right?
-
How far will you push it without putting the wash. Huh make a
-
worry cause I told my wife jeans, you have to wash up because it's
-
made to last. I went out. I think I went up to five
-
months washing my jeans and they become very sticky. Then that I knew it'side
-
to wash. But otherwise I gotta know where again again I'm putting this thing.
-
I said, I just put the wash because someone told me to put
-
the wash. But I never understood it because when she's not around something,
-
she goes on the on on mission treatment stuff that she knows that I don't
-
see. If I don't need the wash, I don't need to wash.
-
No awareness, no awareness, friends, Verse nineteen, I'm no longer worthy
-
to be called your sons. Make me like one of your servants. Awareness
-
action that comes a change of values. Friends, I pray that you're the
-
young sons. I'm not here to talk about young to focus on the young
-
son. I wanted to focus on the father's respond because the death response is
-
very important. Verse twenty, and he arose he came to his father,
-
but when it was still great far away, the father saw him, had
-
compassion and ran, fell this that and kissed him. Friends, I want
-
to let you know before you do anything, you think that you need to
-
prove yourself to be the son of God. Before we do anything. Our
-
father in heaven celebrates you breaks shield. Do you know an Asian context again,
-
an Asian context, we are not very good with praises, in fact,
-
very hard. Save your baby grabbing Enyma or Homer, whereby praises is
-
very normal. I know a dad, I know someone's dead when the sun
-
he opens his son's room just the study table. The light there is light
-
but not stop bright enough. And majority of us we survive, we can
-
study. But the dad says, son, wow, your room not brighten
-
up. Let me help you to change the light bulb. The father immediately
-
by a new table. M change the light bulb, change the death,
-
everything so that the sun will study better. When I heard the story and
-
I told this this, this, this, this, this, this story,
-
I see your dad saying it. By David is open opening, not
-
studying at you right, very different gainer Asian. We're find it very hard
-
to celebrate. How many if you think that you did very well for worship
-
bleeding Hey, I just say a statement. Your should be saying yes.
-
For example, how many you think that you did ra well for worship bleeding
-
right? How do you think that she sang very well? She got potential
-
to cut the old album? No, seriously, let's go on, let's
-
go on all right right? How many think that you Peachick is correct?
-
Singing pea Chick is correct? Huh what ye wos Jack said? And then
-
when when, when I'm trying to get it here, if God asked you
-
to sit in the middle of the room, if God actually see in the
-
middle of the room, I'm not sure how many your words. He will
-
be very comfortable with people with the angels saying that you know this, you
-
know, Noah, he was fitful, I know, should have me overs
-
here. We feel FIGETI after a while that people are just appreciating you for
-
who you are. I know, show how me over he steady and not
-
feel funny when people just lavish words of affirmation towards you. Because in our
-
in our growing up years, sometimes sometimes some families words negative words is much
-
louder than positive words. Sometimes a growing up year, sometimes scolding is a
-
norm, appreciating its luxury. Even in a working environment. We did something
-
correct, very few echolits come but a moment, a mistake is made,
-
or moment a mistake is made, the emails, the texts, the phone
-
calls that comes your way. It's a lot understanding. Every mistake is cost
-
fine, But I'm trying to explain to your the Father ran towards the sun.
-
It speaks about the Father celebrating the sun even before the sun. For
-
the proof, I got a very and we know of a tough guy.
-
And you know, just really tough. He can take all the bidding he
-
can take. Really, you try any physical challenge towards him, he can
-
take it. By the very moment it's gonna get married, we say that,
-
look, we want to do something really different. But why do you
-
see in the middle here and all the guys, these guys, this is
-
a guy, but suddenly say, rather, I appreciate you by the third
-
person that he couldn't take it, because I say again, very seldom we
-
celebrate our world by not doing anything. The fact that your life, just
-
imagine right, the fact that you're alive. Your father ever celebrates you.
-
The fact that you are a believer. The Father celebrates you. You have
-
your church plan, yet you're sat homeshet. You know, I want you
-
to imagine right now, how much. Our father ever celebrates you. The
-
Bible says, in Samsuns thirty to forty, you form me, You form
-
my inner parts. Come on, God is the one who formed you.
-
That's why he celebrates you. The fact. Yeah, God's creation he celebrates.
-
But God, why are you making me like that? Why did you
-
just put in a bit more brain? Sell else, sharper nose, bigger
-
eyes? God, why I want to ten scheme? My wife's so fair?
-
Lord, we very very rarely celebrate ourselves, But here the Bible says,
-
God celebrates you. I want to encourage you in your quiet time.
-
Just hear how God celebrates you. The Bible says that he form you,
-
form my inner parts, You cover me my mother's room. I will praise
-
you for I'm fearfully and wonderfully made. Friends, you are fearfully and wonderfully
-
made by God. Some the same psalms on you iver seventy seventy to eighteen.
-
How precious are your thoughts towards me? Friends? God thinks about you.
-
God thinks about you many times. In a working world, we want
-
other people to think about us, But our father and hevn't thinks about you.
-
First. If you're not thinking about something friends, you're not going.
-
You won't be running towards the direction when the thing comes. You order something
-
precious online, could be a notebook, could be your phone, could be
-
something that you'd be one thing. You'll be actually looking at the delivery date
-
to find out when the thing will arrive. Because as antip anticipation you value
-
it. You celebrate that when things arrive. But if it's just one of
-
those things that you don't really need because you're so unsaivie, you decided maybe
-
I want it in the future, you don't really look forward to the delivery
-
one. Okay, delivery comes right. Our father and Heaven celebrates you.
-
How prescious are your thought towards me or go? How was are the sums
-
of them? But if I were to counter their outnumbered the grains of the
-
sand. When I'm awake, I'm still with you. So the father in
-
heaven, the father heard the story, choose to celebrate the sun him returning
-
even before he has done anything. Before you say I'm sorry, he says
-
someone worse twenty too, the worse one, then the sun. The Father
-
Father, I've seen against heaven and your side. I'm no longer to be
-
worthy before your son. Right, That's how number it isn't it When we
-
make a mistake. Remember the first time you got meself, you didn't.
-
But the first time you ever drove your parents' car, you got it accident.
-
And he's not one of the small little scratches, but the big one
-
sit that will never drive anymore, Just the one driving more because you know
-
the way of the responsibility and somethings. We were extreme man. It's either
-
all or nothing. One we actually wear extre man, right, and he's
-
I wanted this one to highlight to you it Worse twenty two. But the
-
father said to the son. The father said, to the severn, bring
-
out the best ropes and put it on him, put a ring on his
-
hand, sitting out on his feet. First of all, the father celebrates
-
you, and the worse twenty two. Worse twenty two reveals that our God
-
is a fitful God and a loving Father. Faithful and loving God. Faithful
-
and loving God, fitful and loving God. The Bible here says he told
-
hisselfn bring out the best ropes. I want you to imagine now with me,
-
that you're putting on your best coding for someone who has never bathed.
-
This is a son that was working in the pig's farm, smelly and dirty,
-
coming back to the father, and the father just said, clothes him,
-
put the rope on him. Right now, I'm not sure how many
-
of us here will even bring out the best tower. Come on, right
-
now, the best tower for your son that just finished playing soccer in the
-
rain. You just came here for football. Bring out the fluffiest tower in
-
the house. Put it around my child so I can feel the warm the
-
heart of the tower. Your parents that bring out the one, the one
-
to go there on the tower right first, right after you kick up the
-
main dirt there only you bring out the knights and fluffy on. But the
-
dead friends saw beyond the dirt, saw beyond the pig smell, saw beyond
-
everything the child did and saw his son. You will only put out things
-
of value when you value something. That's how much our father in heaven values
-
us. He gave his only son, one and only son. Friends,
-
into this context, into this context, you and me, we give up
-
one and one and only handful. If we were challenged to give out one
-
and only handful of even give we're rather by a chief foy and gif right.
-
It's rest I'm not saying, but this is how God sees. She
-
will only surrender give up something when we see something else is of value as
-
well. That's why Dad, Dad's in the house paid the price for the
-
family, because they value the family. You will only give up what you
-
value because you see something you see with more valuable friends, God says his
-
only son, Jesus Christ. Because he knew friends, he knew, he
-
knew, he knew. No matter what we try to do, we cannot
-
reconcile back to the father based our own strength. That was a depiction of
-
the father running towards the son he knew friends. The son may not make
-
it to the doorstep. Think about it, because all this time the sun
-
had nothing to eat. He knew, he qupt. That's the possibility of
-
the sun fitting halfway. And sometimes this is our thing. Prove to me
-
you're truly sorry, then only I embrace you. Prove to me that you're
-
really sorry, then I would love you back. And sometimes human being are
-
we're that cruel one e were the best of Christians. Something we have that
-
way, you're really sorrier, really sorrier, maybe just surface la right.
-
And sometimes you are like that the Father in Heaven's different. Friends, This
-
Dad saw the soun of far away, decided to run towards him. It's
-
like the story of God sending his son Jesus and the Cross, because Jesus
-
said, do one come to the Father except to him. Could you imagine
-
many times you try our own way to get to the Father, to get
-
to heaven. Will fail. We will fail, friends, we will fail.
-
And no matter what we try to do, Friends, we cannot get
-
this stay in this sin, this guilt away, except by the shading blow
-
of Jesus Christ. God has come towards us to save us from sin,
-
from the penalty of sin. And this is the story of God right the
-
Father running through the sun. He says he put the rope, Friends,
-
the rope just symbolizes forgiveness. Think about it, naked dirt. God give
-
him covering. God give him forgiveness. I'm not sure where you are with
-
your journey of life. But God wants to cover you. Think about for
-
a moment. God wants to cover you. God wants to cover you.
-
But do you know how hot? Like saying how hot is this? Sitting
-
in the room, sitting in the place allowing God to cover your nakedness,
-
to put his rope on you, and like the sun, respond I'm not
-
worthy. Most of us respond like this, I'm not worthy. I'm not
-
worthy enough. I'm not worthy enough. This wanting the Lord was to remind
-
you, remind you again how much he loves you. He don't just take
-
out any rope. He took out the best ropes to cover you. Friends,
-
the cow of sin, our shame, our guilt. I'm not sure
-
how many of us here ever tried to go out to do something and we
-
failed. Power past of life to come back to a place whereby to say
-
that we are failed or we didn't make it. I'm not show how many
-
of us you have a smile or fac saying that I didn't make it.
-
That the word celebrates pass us, and very few people celebrates mistakes or regrets
-
or the words that we want to use the word acceptance of mistakes and regrets.
-
Things happen in our lives. It's not because we choose different paths,
-
different roads, something something new, work, some mistakes. We have lived
-
it. But yet I treat it all. Allow people just to reaffirm us
-
again, do you know how hard it is for someone to put on to
-
reaffirm you, to say it's gonna be all right. It's going to be
-
all right if you're honest with our old hearts, friends, our pride.
-
Someone stop us from receiving, from experiencing God's love, our pride, pride
-
in our hearts, stop us, really and really, it wasn't sound so
-
noble, but sounds so arrogant, sounds so noble. So father, I'm
-
not worded to be called your your son. Just just make me a servant.
-
Sounds so good. With your friends, sounds so good. But there's
-
certain pride because you're rejecting God's forgiveness. Think about it. You're rejecting the
-
very thing that could save us, could help us to restore us. Could
-
you imagine that? Don't waste the rope. Don't waste the rope. The
-
rope can be used so somebody else. Don't waste it on me. Just
-
give me one of those one hour you've gotta show. Weally want to give
-
the realag the house. Just give it to me. Don't waste the rope,
-
but you're worth the best rope. The Bible says that he put a
-
ring on his finger. Ring really speaks of identity. That's why marriage couple
-
to exchange rings identity. God wants to restore. Do you know one of
-
the hardest part is to restore by your identity. Yes, a lot of
-
us experts God forgiveness, but to restore by the identity who you are in
-
the Lord, who you are in the Lord. It's hard because it it
-
was renewing your mind. It was renewing your mind. It's not one of
-
those change your name on the icy right. If you ever born in the
-
Chinese family, your parents give you a very terror Chinese name, nobody could
-
pronounce, nobody could smell, smell, spell right. And he said,
-
I was I met somebody that day and I said, hey, you look
-
very familiar. Yeah, I think my name I think her name was was.
-
I think her name was Stephanie. Yeah, back then you used to
-
know me as Mary. Change. It's not it's just that the story identity.
-
It's not just about changing your name like you know or your Christian It's
-
not that. It's about knowing who you are in Christ. It's about knowing
-
who you are in Christ. Friends, But many types Christians we don't know.
-
We just we assume that we know just because we received Jesus in the
-
hearts. And that's the problem with majority of us. We buy ears stuff
-
thinking that we can fix you out. We need the manual. We think
-
it's supposed to look like Dela. When you fix it, we did one
-
most cool there. I think you can give extra. We don't read the
-
manual because we think that it's supposed after Oma Christianma they go to church on
-
Sunday. You come to church on Sunday, you see people lifting up there's
-
you also go lift up your hands right, people singing, use reading the
-
Bible. Then the problem is that there is no change. So when problem
-
and things hit in our life, when challenges come away, we find it
-
hard to overcome because we don't even know our identity. At your workplace,
-
the challenges come in work place. Friends, you're not just another human being,
-
your child God, there is always a solution. If you ever speak
-
to Elder Terrans, Eld terreance is that he's Slice s living right now.
-
He lost about fifteen to train kilos really right, Slice Limer, but he's
-
his top processing is that I'm actually very naive when it comes to fixing things.
-
But I always pray to God. God, I know the word says
-
review. Nothing is impossible. So therefore give me the same annoying thing.
-
Whether I look at something, I can fix it. He will come to
-
work one day. Elder, I fixed my led TV my screen, how
-
vet turned white color. I decided to set it into the service center.
-
They give me a quotation close the four figure. I decided to forget about
-
it. I shall YouTube how to repair, and he did. Elder,
-
I fixed my TV less than hunger and git. If it is for me,
-
I will I will tell you about this. Betther just change lavee.
-
He's so proud. He's so proud. The fact that he just said is
-
that I know who I am in Christ. It could be an LED screen.
-
I got no knowledge, but with God, give me the understanding of
-
how to repair. Every time we hit a problem with something regards to our
-
rental place, some repair work where we go normally write to them, tell
-
them that you know some parts were liking and sometimes because maybe we are younger,
-
they don't. They don't give the kind of respect. So I always
-
said Terrence to go help me to set the The thing went nobody. You
-
can nowt mess around with him because he doesn't smile. On even by him
-
staring staring at the fishes in the sea, the cop of life again,
-
the kind of his face, girl face? Anyway, say I come just
-
recently, say Terrence, you know that there's this problem. Just help me
-
to just look into either did you report it? I see that I think
-
the mentionedment reported on Monday until Friday morning that he was done. Older just
-
say, by the end of the day will be set that he's that confident.
-
Now you say, but Elder, this ergant, no, no,
-
no, friends, you need to know who you are in Christ. I'm
-
trying to get it. You need to know who you are in Christ.
-
The fru for go. Yes, but this part you got it correct,
-
elder led TV screen. I can fix it. He wants to make his
-
own table and I want to make I look at him where they just builer
-
you're sixty two. Really don't waste time, right? Families were important?
-
Anyway, this is I'm trying to get it. The ring, the ring.
-
God wants to restore that identity towards you. You know we do some
-
you know what some of us Christians do that we think that we can trow
-
on the floor. You know why you don't like it? Maybe not,
-
I would say, don't like yeah, maybe because my fingers so small,
-
the rings to be keep slipaking out. God says that he with the center
-
on his feet. Purpose. God is in the business of restoration. See
-
a lot of us here are safe. We are you re see Jesus in
-
your heart. We are safe. But go on to restore. Come on.
-
Restorations is important because many times we don't even know they're we need restoration.
-
Just because we could are alive, we could function, we could live,
-
we could transact every day business doesn't mean we are living to the fullness
-
and understanding of what God causes to be to cery. Restoration is important.
-
Even though we know that we are a child God, but our mindset is
-
a servant mindset. And again, even though we know that we are child
-
got inside the deepest power our hearts, but our mindset sometime and we think
-
that we're just servants. And God wants to restore their friends, and finally
-
there's going to be this point. How we see God is how we approach
-
him. How you see God is how we approach him. Earlier part of
-
scripture, the youngest son saw the father as just a provider, give you
-
money, that the Father gives happy that's it. And many times now Christian
-
what we approach God that the same man a provision provision, but the days
-
where by provision provider needs to give you understanding. He's a living dead.
-
Think about it for a moment, when you hit a war made mistake,
-
will we still approach God in the same manner or not? Or is he
-
just a provider? Just a provider? God, give me a cap up.
-
We do pray prayers that God give me a space, give me,
-
give me an entry, give me a blessing, breakthrough in a workplace.
-
All good, But is that all about our father? Heaven't like that a
-
provider? Is he also your savior? Come on? Is he also your
-
Lord? Because if you're only going to approach a father in heaven as just
-
a person just dispensing help, it that's very limiting. As I close right
-
now, I just want to encourage us, really really want to encourage you
-
and encourage myself as well as I close. Number one is this this is
-
that he celebrates you. I want you to know that Asians and we're not
-
say again we're not very good with celebration. I was we had the ADM
-
Mandrid had some presentation, so two of them sang a couple of songs.
-
Not you're not from the worship team, but these are the two people that
-
like to sing in karaoke. So they sang, so I was just last
-
show. One of the guys. They say, brother, he's gonna be
-
eat it eaten. Just let me just just just see where you are.
-
I want to let you know one celebrate you. You sang really well.
-
I get that. I let you know what happened. The more thing that
-
we say about him to appreciate him, celebrate him, his face turns rader
-
and raider and raider and became like a tomato. After that, I said
-
we there, and just said we all been to the part before because we
-
just think that we are normal, nothing really worth celebrating. We are not
-
like the most brilliant people in the in the classroom. The world celebrates achievement,
-
but God celebrate presents. The world celebrate achievement. If Elmas didn't achieve
-
anything, we used to buy his book or not. If we don't design
-
the card, do don't make any change? Still by his book. The
-
world celebrates achievement. That's why we buy books because they achieve certain things.
-
But God celebrates presents the fact that you are here. He celebrates you.
-
That's how our father in heaven is. He's faithful, he's loving. No
-
dirt can push him away from you. You think about it for a moment.
-
He could have waited the door, waited for the son to come right
-
to the door. As a dad, he said, title too, because
-
it wasn't him who kicked the son out. If it was a father that
-
kicked the son out, yes, the father running towards the sun asking for
-
forgiveness. But this is the dad because he knew the son couldn't make it
-
to the doorstep. Because the Bible already described that he's hungry. No one
-
gave him anything. A son that is dirty, smelly, a son that's
-
lost. That's why he can tell his servant, my son was lost,
-
but now it's found. My son one was lost, but now it's found.
-
He celebrated the presence of his son more than the achievement of the son.
-
Nowhere in the Bible. He said that what do you do with my
-
money? Because he valued he knows in the sun is more valuable than money.
-
As I close right now, when the courage avers here have a better
-
understanding how our Father and Heaven is better understanding the heart of the Father.
-
Have a better understanding when you do a quiet time. Even the book lamentation
-
must mean something in my life. Otherwise God would have written it and put
-
in the Bible. It must have been. You must have when you do
-
a quite to understand that God wants to speak to you. So when you
-
go out into your workplace, you have a solution. You have encourasion,
-
you have strength to overcome every challenges you face. Everybody's talking about the price
-
increased. But God, if God can provide for Isaac in the days of
-
famine in the Book of Genousys, think about it. If God could provide
-
for Isaac in the days of famine, how much more earth. If God
-
only works in those in the Old Testimate New Testament, then God doesn't work
-
now. Then first then you must all give up the Bible. The very
-
fact the Bible is still here. The Bible is still here. Whish mean
-
to say that God's still is at work and still working and can overcome every
-
challenges debic face. Only if you believe. We hope you've been blessed by
-
this message. For more information on our church. Please visit as church org.
