You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. I want to share with us this morning.
-
The title of my message is that all may see, okay, that all
-
may see that we are called all right. I know the theme for this
-
year is that all may know. But I'm taking this from you know,
-
the scripture today that all may see they will know when they see, just
-
like how I told you about the Bible, they see us having the Bible,
-
then they know, all right, because how they know sometimes know it's
-
a very it's a concept. Right, they know something. But when you
-
learn in your classes, your classroom, you need to see, right ABC
-
numbers you know, plus minus your teaching you to write now for you it
-
helps visual, right, and of course they need to hear. But we'll
-
focus on this this morning, that on may see that we are called now
-
all right. So just quick recap from last week. Was Olivia's message right,
-
talking about King Hezekiah, right and all the other kings who didn't do
-
well. Then Hezekiah did better, all right, and the Lord prolonged his
-
reign to be able to lead Israel, lead the other one. Yeah,
-
okay, yeah, thank you for that. So but then he also in
-
the end he did he made a mistake, right. One of what Hezekai's
-
mistake was that he focused on his own time. He didn't bother about the
-
future. And so then you know that that was his mistake and his foolishness.
-
Uh and uh. But you know, from there, I just want
-
to say that, you know, our God is really about passing it on.
-
You know, good leadership is about being able to pass it on to
-
the next generation. All right, So if we have all the good stuff
-
here now for ourselves, but we never pass it on, that that is
-
not how God wants it to work. And that's why he he has a
-
you know, told us to make disciples. When you make disciples, you
-
pass on something to them. Yeah. So I want to encourage all of
-
us here to have this thought of making disciples, because that's what the word
-
of God is. Right, How do you make disciples? Start with one
-
person? Can we start with one person? Right? It doesn't have to
-
be that you're a leader that you make disciples. The Bible tells us to
-
make disciples. Anyone, every one of us here who follows Jesus make disciples.
-
Tell your neighbor that you need to make disciples. Ah, wow,
-
challenging word, isn't it to just say that? Tell your other neighbor,
-
I need to make disciples, right, I'm telling I'm talking about what Jesus
-
told us to do. Right. One day, when you go up you
-
meet Jesus, He's going to ask us, all right, did you do
-
what I told you to do? Right? Make disciples? Right? And
-
so we have to answer that, right, and then you'll say maybe you
-
say yes, say how how did you right? So okay, so I
-
want to challenge us here. Yeah, you can make disciples actually, just
-
focusing on one person. At least you make one disciple, then one disciple
-
might make ten. Then you it counts under your account, isn't it.
-
No? I just kidding all right, I don't know. I don't know
-
how God counts it now, but you know it doesn't. Don't worry about
-
that, right, You're not here about that, okay, but focus on
-
one. Let's focus on one. Even if it's your own child, make
-
disciples, Make him or her a disciple, right, teach them the word
-
of God, teach them the right way. Yeah, And if you don't
-
have that opportunity to make disciple of your own child. Then someone choose one
-
person, pray and seek the Lord, and he will show you. There's
-
more than one person that needs to be made a disciple this morning and today,
-
all right, So passing on to the next generation is so important.
-
Now I want to talk and share from Deuteronomy chapter twenty eight this morning.
-
Okay, you're taking notes, right, that's why you can write. The
-
scripture for today is Deuteronomy chapter twenty eight. I didn't put the full Deuteronomy
-
because I know got children here today, So just write the fall letters,
-
ok you t dute? Okay. Chapter twenty eight, verse one to fourteen
-
is where where the scripture is. Very good, very good. I can
-
see everyone trying to take notes sitting right in front of the screen. Wow,
-
very good. Okay, okay, So deuter on me chapter twenty eight,
-
one to fourteen. Okay, so let's see where we go from here.
-
I want to tell you a little bit about the Book of Deuteronomy,
-
right because I've been reading that. That's the books, that's the book that
-
I've been focusing on. So so you you you you remember, you know
-
I've been preaching from the Book of John all right. I think I think
-
I'm done for now for the Book of John. I'll stop there. Okay,
-
the rest of it do yourself, okay, because it's pretty straightforward.
-
From there. It's, you know, the journey to the Cross, and
-
maybe maybe you know Easter or you know, I don't know, next year
-
or something. Okay, we'll talk a bit more, but I think I'm
-
done for for the Book of John for now. But I'll see where the
-
Lord will lead me or when it comes to speaking the word. Okay,
-
So today I'll focus on Deuteronomy twenty eight because I've been reading that book recently,
-
and the Book of Deuteronomy very interesting, is book by Moses. It's
-
a book about Moses talking about how he couldn't enter the Promised Land. He
-
couldn't enter, and so he wasn't selfish. He didn't keep it to himself
-
and say, since I can't enter, you also don't enter. He didn't
-
do that. He could have, but he's you know, so thank God.
-
You know, he follows the heart of God. I pass on the
-
right thing, even if you can't make it, at least pass on what
-
is right to the next generation. Yeah, even if you fail, pass
-
on what is right to the next generation. Don't say I didn't make it.
-
You also going to follow me down, right, don't do that,
-
right, But thank god, Moses was still humble. In fact, he
-
was known as the humblest man right on earth. So yeah, so this
-
is why I guess he's so so kind still, you know. And so
-
he's telling everyone, yeah, I didn't make it, but I want to
-
tell you how you can, how you can enter the Promised Land still,
-
and so he gives this long you know, a book of Deuteronomy to the
-
Children of God. And so that's what it's about. And so we are
-
here right now at this chapter, chapter twenty eight, where he's talking about
-
the blessings and the curses all right, of following blessing for following the commandments
-
of God, and curses if we don't follow, all right. And so
-
it's very very interesting the chapter before. We won't read the chapter before,
-
but the chapter before, all right, there's this part here. You can
-
look at your Bible. So there's this part about it. I just want
-
to point to it a little bit. For example, he says here in
-
verse fifteen, curse be the man who makes a carved or cast metal image,
-
sorry and abomination to the lord, hey, a thing made by hands
-
of craftsmen. All right, so you know you can go on and you
-
can see that. And then he says at the end of this verse,
-
and all the people shall answer and say, ay man, yeah, I
-
heard a few people saying that, right, but you know, the world
-
of God here, says and all the people, so can we roll play
-
a bit? All the people here, even children, and all the people
-
shall answer and say sounds a bit more like all right, I'll tell you
-
so you can see how many of that this here the curse be, because
-
because we there's more than ten here, I believe. And so as they
-
say things like that, there's this you know, the the priest is declaring,
-
curse be this person who does this thing, and all the people say
-
amen. And everyone had to say amen. All right. I want to
-
tell you here that in our church we actually want to encourage everyone to respond,
-
respond to the message, especially to the word of God. Right,
-
you don't want to say amen to the announcement, I understand. Okay,
-
well I do that. Sorry, announcement still amen, but you know you
-
but but when it comes to the Word of God, I want to encourage
-
all of us. You you need to respond. You need to respond at
-
least say yeah or or yeah or whatever whatever your your your your agreement grant
-
is do it. Do it. I oran encourage all of us here.
-
Don't stay silent because science it's actually very dangerous. Right. It's either you
-
don't agree, or you don't like me or whoever is preaching here, right
-
or whatever, right, or you're distracted, then you don't agree. I'm
-
not telling you to agree with my words. I'm telling you to agree with
-
God's work when you hear God's word being preached, especially when I'm preaching God's
-
with I'm saying it and I'm reading God's word. I want to encourage all
-
of us here to agree with it. Okay, not with me here again,
-
agree with God's word because if we don't, we don't verbally agree.
-
I really don't know where do we agree? And so all right and and
-
so okain you don't agree, then okailler, it's fine, okay, But
-
if you do agree, say it, because you're you're challenging yourself as well.
-
Yes, I agree. Maybe you're you're thinking yeah, because but I
-
don't practice it yet. I don't practice it. Yeah, and you feel
-
like I feel bad like I agree, but I don't do this right,
-
something like that. But don't worry about that. Nobody is asking you to
-
be fully practicing it yet. We're just saying whether you agree with it or
-
not? Ah right, you know, like you know, like I think,
-
you take a load. Then they ask you, do you agree to
-
pay back? Not that you paid back, so you haven't paid back yet,
-
but you're agreeing to pay back right later on. You may, you
-
struggle, your struggles, you pay, and all this kind of stuff.
-
It's real, right, it happens, but it doesn't mean you disagree to
-
pay. You still agree, I want to pay, right, That's why
-
you sign it and your amen and your yes is like signing like I say,
-
yes, I agree, I haven't done it yet, I am about
-
to. I want to, and therefore I agree. All right, But
-
of course if you don't agree, then then yeah, finally you're off the
-
hook line. That's all right, But but I want the challenges. All
-
let's agree, because that's what happened in Deuteronomy. Let me explain a little
-
bit more. When you can you imagine it, Just imagine with me,
-
right this the priest is reading out this thing. Let me read a few
-
more. Let's see. Ah, Okay, I picked this one. I
-
think it's verse eighteen. Yeah, everyone, you got your bibles? Can
-
you turn to that? It's not it's not on the screen. I'm not
-
gonna put a lot of scripture on the screen nowadays, so that we can
-
flip to the Bible. Okay, okay, Now, whether you're a physical
-
Bible or digital Bible, flip to it, because you you know, at
-
least you can confirm whether I'm reading right stuff. Okay. Verse eighteen.
-
Cursed be anyone who misleads a blind man in the on the road. Hey,
-
anyone done that before? Ah, careful, don't do that. Yeah,
-
And then next one says what and all the people shall say hey,
-
man continued role playing for me? All right, So listen, that's one.
-
See. Curse be anyone who misleads a blind man on the road and
-
everyone says amen. Right, but listen, imagine half the people don't say
-
amen. So the precide caust be anyone who misleads the blind man on the
-
road. Silence why, because they're thinking, I want to do that.
-
I just plan to do that tomorrow to this brother who I'm so angry with
-
is blind, but I was planning to, so I can't say amen,
-
right, right right, something like that. Right. Uh. So that's
-
why that even the even the guy who was planning to do it, I'm
-
sure he would just say amen, amen that maybe maybe it helps change his
-
my life. Yeah, since I say that already, I was planning to
-
la, but I won't because I just say amen, I just agreed.
-
All right, I'm not gonna do that. I'm not gonna push that guy
-
on the road is blind? Right? What else? What else? Let's
-
go to some more tree key ones? Ah, god something a bit you
-
know, not not suitable one for children and a ah but you know my
-
kids hurting this. You know I put this the Bible out loud for them
-
audio. And what does that mean? They ask me all these questions?
-
Yeah, so bland man uh gell, you know all this is sensitive one.
-
But lying with this, lying with who, lying with the lie with
-
the animal one? You know that are then he I mentioned the guys don't
-
say em And then I know all the people say, you know, talk
-
about the animal and right, and all the people say, what are you
-
doing? Things like that? Right? And I'll tell you what you do?
-
You think Moses simply talk about these things. No, I don't think
-
so, because he only mentions it because it's happening. Things like that were
-
happening at that time. People were abusing animals like that, They were in
-
relationships they shouldn't be in right with whoever that's you know, not sutable the
-
same in front of children, now right, y'all know that, right,
-
So it was actually happening, and that's why Moses, you know, and
-
the team and the priests had to say that. So, curse if you
-
do this, you know, curse it, if you steal your neighbors things,
-
curse it if you abuse the blind man. And everyone should say amen,
-
because ok maybe I did it. But yeah, okay, now I
-
know he's wrong. Now at least now I know he's wrong. I will
-
aim to stop doing that. And you know, throughout the whole Bible you
-
will see all all of this as in a New Testament, you will see
-
it's all held out, spell down. What sin is is spelled out,
-
right, don't you know. Don't be a drunkard, it's actually in the
-
Bible, right, don't gossip, don't put down your neighbor. It's on
-
the Bible. And so then you know, sometimes we ask what is sin?
-
Right, It's all spelled out in the Bible, and that's why we
-
need to read our Bible. When we read our Bible is revealed to us
-
what is sin. And sometimes then we realize, oh, actually I've been
-
doing that. I've been doing that, and the Bible tells me now that's
-
wrong. And so therefore I need to say, amen, amen, I've
-
got to stop this right now, and then I can I can move on,
-
I can move on to abundant life. All right. Of course,
-
thank God, the Bible just doesn't just tell us what is wrong. It
-
tells us what we need to do. Right. The Bible tells us don't
-
do this, but this is what you need to do. And so thank
-
God. You know, I love that. The word of God is so
-
amazing. I want to say one more thing. As I read the Book
-
of Deuteronomy and as I read all these laws, I want to tell you
-
it must be God. You know, if a man wrote this, you
-
think you will write it like this. A man normally will write something to
-
advantage themselves, to benefit themselves. But all this is going to stop them
-
from their pleasure. And so why would a man write there so definitely.
-
It was an amazing God who wrote all these laws Old Testament and New Testament.
-
Amen. All right, now I want to move on. I want
-
to move on right, Okay, I want to start with this. So
-
just how I already went on it right, It starts with amen, starts
-
with amen. Now let me dwell on this a little bit. We know
-
the word amen, and you know and we you know we say it in
-
church and we can say more. Okay, but I want to explain to
-
you in the first verse of Deuteronomy twenty eight. Okay, what does it
-
say? And if you faithfully obey the voice of the Lord your God,
-
being careful to do all his commandments that I command you today, the Lord
-
your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. Right
-
first line there, And if you what faithfully obey. I want to focus
-
on the word faithful. Here we sang today you know, Lord, you
-
are so faithful, greatest my faithfulness. I did not plan this with Olivia.
-
She picked the song right, And to this message is I'm going to
-
start with that faithful right, God is faithful. But then this verse here
-
tells us if we faithfully obey, we faithfully obey. So God is faithful.
-
But are we faithful? Yeah? Are we faithful? So God?
-
But God wants us to be faithful. That's why the word of God tells
-
us here, if you faithfully obey. I want to focus on the word
-
faithful. Right, faithful and amen are linked when that's why. That's why
-
I'm encouraging us all to respond, especially with amen, because it's linked to
-
faithfulness. We want to be faithful. It is linked to amen. Let
-
me explain a little bit more. The word faith alight, a rather faithful.
-
The root word of faithful in Hebrew is faith no brainer, right,
-
faithful? Faith Ah? You know original word faith? So let me tell
-
you some of us here we're wondering, how can I be a faithful husband?
-
How can I be a faithful child? How can I be a faithful
-
student? Right? How can I how can I be a faithful staff?
-
How many of films here we will consider ourselves faithful workers for our companies?
-
Or do we go like ah, I don't care what they do as long
-
as I get my salary. I just do my part. You know,
-
so many of us we don't like thinks about our company? Right? Our
-
places? All? Right? And that's why there's a lot of like,
-
you know, none of it happens here, but you know, that's why
-
there's a lot of like office gossip, all right, and backstapping and things
-
like that, because we don't really care. It's not my business. Someone
-
else is getting more money. We are thinking all these things, right,
-
But the Bible wants us to be faithful even to a company that we don't
-
own, even if we don't like the boss. And we are there,
-
we believe that the Lord has placed us there. And so since you're there,
-
let's be faithful. You're in this country called Malaysia. It's not always
-
nice, it's not always good. You know, Malaysia is not always kind
-
too many of us. Right. I know, because you know, I'm
-
a citizen here, and we know the politics here. We know the stuff
-
that goes on, right, we know sometimes that the unfairness that happens.
-
But the Bible, the Word of God, wants us to be faithful.
-
So I'm faithful to my nation, to my country anyway, because God has
-
placed me here, I believe, And so I don't complain about why am
-
I here? Want to move somewhere else? Dad something? Hey, people
-
moving around it's okay, it's okay, it's okay, it's okay to move
-
around. I'm just talking about myself, right, It's okay to move around,
-
all right, But for me, I don't complain, and it does
-
not wants me to move I will, I will, okay, Just that
-
I'm saying, I don't complain right about you know, the negative things too
-
much. It's okay, you cant express right, some negative things is fine,
-
it's human. But I want to be faithful to the country. I
-
want to be faithful at my workplace. I will be faithful to the ministry
-
sometimes, you know, even ministry in church? Right, are we faithful?
-
Are we faithful to our leaders? Are we faithful to the church that
-
God has placed you in? Right? Because even it's just got politics right,
-
quite sad, but it happens. But the question is are we faithful?
-
Right? And the word the root word again or faithful is faith?
-
What is faith? Faith is believing? Faith is I trust I trust him?
-
I have faith. I have faith in Allen to play the guitar.
-
He's going, He's not gonna suddenly, you know, take out the guitar
-
and swing it around. You know, I have faith in him. That's
-
why we let him be on the band. We have faith in Anderson and
-
he's not suddenly going to stand on the horn and jump around right and kick
-
it. We had faith, that's all he said. Okay, you know,
-
Olivia asked, can we have Anderson on? I said, let me
-
think. Ok, I don't think he would jump on the thing. I
-
didn't think all that, but you know, I don't think he's gonna take
-
a hammer and whatever. So yeah, I got faith in Anderson. He
-
can play. I say, how many songs? She said two? I
-
can two songs can all right, So that's why he played this morning,
-
right. So we had faith. That's why we allowed and we you know,
-
we we do things and so, uh, faithful has to do with
-
faith. So like this, you want to be a faithful worker, you
-
want to be a faithful uh partner of the church. You want to be
-
a faithful leader. Then you need to have faith. You need to have
-
faith. Firstly, faith in God, right, because that's that's the first
-
thing. If you have faith in God, it's easy to have faith in
-
people. Right. It's easy to have faith in our leaders because I know
-
God plays me here. So yeah, the leader is still working on stuff.
-
Is still you know, brushing up, you know, on some things.
-
But I trust God that he's doing that. He's working on this guy,
-
he's working on this person. Yeah, and let me give you another
-
example. So yeah, let's say I, you know, me and Passa
-
Candeth. I just say, give you example. If Passa Kenneth say something
-
quite strong right on social media maybe right or in the message, he says
-
something very strong and I feel it. I felt it, like, ouch,
-
are you talking about me? Pastor? Right? I feel it,
-
and so I feel upset. Let's say, and I go like, yeah,
-
I think this person is not the person I thought he was. I'm
-
going to get sad and upset right now. There, I go around complaining,
-
you know, to my wife, I don't know why this past right.
-
Then after I add on, I go to Paul, say, you
-
know, you know that are so upset no with this pasta. I went
-
on, I go on, I go on, I complained. I got
-
sick. And so now I start I start to lose faith. And so
-
as I lose faith in my pastor, I start to go like this,
-
I think I don't be initiuch anymore. Right, Pasta, this this this
-
you know doing all these things to me, talking about me. I have
-
no more faith in this pasta and so therefore I say, you know what,
-
like week, I'm going somewhere else. And therefore, just like that,
-
in a week, I stopped being faithful to the church, simple as
-
that, because I had no more faith. I didn't believe anymore, because
-
I got you know, I got offend it. I don't believe anymore.
-
I don't believe God put me here anymore because you know this guy, you
-
know, you know, hurting me whatever, And I don't believe in all
-
these things anymore. I just go because now I want to put my faith
-
somewhere else, and I want to be faithful to someone else. Simple as
-
that. That's what faithful fullness is. Same thing in marriage, right like,
-
I don't like this person anymore, no more interest, So I can't
-
be faithful anymore. I want to find someone else. Simple as that.
-
You won't be faithful. You got to have faith, Okay, say to
-
your neighbor. You want to be faithful, you have to have faith.
-
And so therefore, okay, let's go to the next light. I show
-
you the Hebrew word a man amen. Okay, that's where it comes from
-
amen. Amen. Okay, of course different spelling a bit, lah,
-
but you know it's the same root word. Amen. Faith. Yes,
-
I believe. Thank you for saying that, Pastor. I believe it hurts
-
me a bit, but I believe I will go with it and I will
-
be faithful. All right. You know some of us here, you know
-
we've been coming to church. Thank you for believing, because you're still here.
-
All right. You come to church, you come to church Sunday after
-
Sunday, you're here, and so you're faithful to at least come to church.
-
But I want to challenge you the next step. You know, whenever
-
the Holy Spirit leads you, don't just come See where you want to serve?
-
Yeah, see where you can serve? Okay. I'm not forcing anyone.
-
I'm just challenging you. According to the Word of God, right,
-
where can you serve? I know there will be a lot of challenges,
-
but I want to say, you know you can overcome it, right,
-
I know? And right and Joel, they they make something work hard to
-
be able to serve, all right. I really respect that, okay,
-
and I pray that the lot will make it even easier for you. Right
-
in the time to come so that you know you you you can both still
-
serve at the same time, all right, but you know as the lot
-
leads you, So I want to challenge us. All here, take the
-
next step, all right? Of course, no rush, no rush,
-
You don't have to immediately take next step. But I'm just saying that you
-
can't stay in one place forever. Yeah, because that's what it means by
-
growth. All right, I want to go on. I want to go
-
on. Okay, So amen has do it? Faith has do it?
-
Faithfulness? Okay, the rest of the words, next timeline we will explain.
-
Okay, move on, let's move on. Okay. Then as we
-
read you know verse one just now, okay, Now I'll go to verse
-
two. One and all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if
-
you obey the voice of the Lord your God. This one I put on
-
the slide. It says slight for this ah. Okay, Verse two,
-
and all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake. Use everyone, say
-
overtake, overtake, you know, anyone overtake cars here before take you.
-
I want to go faster, right, overtake. Okay, if you obey
-
the voice of the Lord your God. So there is a promise. There's
-
a promise for the faithfulness to obey. When you faithfully obey, there's a
-
promise. The promise is blessings that shall come upon you, not just come
-
upon you, it will overtake you. What does this mean? You know,
-
many times when we do what is right, when we do the right
-
thing right, we feel like we're losing out, isn't it When we do
-
the right thing? Sometimes you feel like, ah, then this guy who
-
cheat his way, he got further, he got more. I'm not getting
-
you know, I do right, I don't get right most times the case.
-
Many times that's the case. And this you know, people who cheat,
-
who or you know, who do the quick the shortcut, they get
-
a hit. They do what's not right and they get a hit. And
-
so that's why we feel like, what, you know, why should I
-
do this? Then? Why should I do what's right? Because I'm not
-
gonna I'm not getting it. But the promise of God, if you can
-
hold on to it, tells us that blessings shall come you follow the commandments
-
of God. And not only that it will overtake you. Hallelujah, Hey
-
man, it will overtake you. You it will go ahead of you.
-
The blessing will go ahead of you, meaning you will walk into it,
-
you actually bump into it. It's not it's not trying to catch up with
-
you. You know, it's Usain bolt and it's like, what the blessing
-
is already here. Overtake you. Those who do right, the blessings overtake
-
you. Don't worry about those short cut guys that come on. Don't worry
-
about the cheetas and the shortcut guys there. They get a hit a little
-
bit, but something else is waiting for them. I hate. Something else
-
is overtaking them, waiting for them. Ahit there, Okay, the Lord
-
have mercy on them. But I'm telling you, those who do what's right,
-
your blessing will overtake you. Amen. Amen. So why I'm saying
-
this is, you know what, recently the oil prices went up, right,
-
we worried about diesel or suddenly no more subsidy and all this kind of
-
stuff, right, and and then all the prices of stuff are gonna go
-
up, and you're all these worries are very valid. I usually worry,
-
Okay, but let's hold on to the promise. Of God that he will
-
still bless us and the blessing will still overtake us as we follow his commands.
-
It's faithful to him, right, he will be. He's faithful.
-
He's faithful. He has faith he why you know you want to say that,
-
No, God has faith in us. That's why he's faithful. He
-
believes in us all the way. This frail made of clay people all right,
-
in one crush, he can destroy us, right, but he believes
-
in all of us, and that's why he is faithful. He loves us,
-
Amen, hallelujah. So it comes with a blessing, all right,
-
if you obey, let me go on, let me go on. Okay,
-
I want to I want to talk about the blessings. Let's talk about
-
the blessings. We love. This isn't it. I want to know what
-
the blessings are. The blessings is throughout Versus three to all the way you
-
know, to eight. I'm gonna focus on that. I think there's a
-
slight for that. Let's look at the blessings. We will love this.
-
Let's claim it for ourselves. Amen. But of course it comes with the
-
you need to obey the Lord for Zah faithfully obey the lot and the blessings
-
are these. Look, if you look at the verses, I'm basing it
-
on the verses so you can look at it. I'm not making this up,
-
but I'm just kind of like changing the words to help us understand,
-
you know, in a modern language in a sense. Right, So it
-
says here will be blessed in the city and the fields, meaning sometimes you
-
know why, because sometimes I feel like I'm living in the city here,
-
living an urban life. God blessing all the farms and the duria and all
-
their What am I getting? Right? But the Lord actually tells us that
-
we will be blessed in the city. Even in an urban life. God
-
can bless you. God can bless your finances. God can bless your protection
-
right and your friendship, your relationships. You know, your health, your
-
mental health. God will bless you in the urban way. He is not
-
a god of the kampo moni, all right. He's God of the city,
-
all right. He loves k l City, all right. He loves
-
Jakarta, he loves so what's the Philipinos Manila? He loves Manilla's in there
-
now. China is the capital now, Oh, not New Deli anymore New
-
Deli is there. Yeah. God loves the cities all right. In fact,
-
when you look at Revelation the cities, God actually has c has cities,
-
and we will be living in cities. Don't worry, you're not going
-
to kampung all right? Oh do I love kampum all right? And he's
-
also the god of the kampung some of us are, you know, we're
-
from the kampung. We're from the villages, we're from the you know,
-
the field, the country. It's always thing like I think God is only
-
in the city because look at those churches there, they're growing, But the
-
village churches, all the young people living right going to the city. But
-
you know what, the Lord will less those even in the villages. Yeah,
-
in the kampong, especially your Dudian farms, okay, right, and
-
your animals and your flocks. So next one it says it talks about fruitfulness
-
and increase and the young. It talks about young flock. But I want
-
to focus on that as well. The Lord will will bless you in fruitfulness
-
in many sense, okay, in your you know, in your work,
-
in your ministry, in your family. You will be fruitful in all that
-
we do. There will be increase. Everyone say, increase. Increase is
-
good, isn't it? Increase is good? All right, because that's where
-
we see numbers, that's where we see amounts, that's where we see abundance.
-
There will be increase, and there will be and there will be the
-
young. You know, the young is so important. I love to see
-
that we have so many children here. It shows that we are fruitful,
-
right and multiplying nicely here. Okay, uh and uh uh. Also young
-
people, young, our teens, our college students, in college students say
-
hello, sounding Okay, you guys need some energy. Okay, Hey,
-
young people are so precious, And I want to say, you know,
-
you're very precious to all of us here at ex Church because at one time,
-
I want to tell you that there was almost no campus students in X
-
Church. All right. Then I realized I realized how sad that was,
-
because firstly, then you know why why why? I also sad because I
-
realized there's so many colleges here, and we are the we're the Christians,
-
right and uh and if the church cannot draw the young people into the House
-
of God, I think that's quite sad, all right. So I want
-
to encourage all you young people. We love you and you're very precious to
-
us. And I want you know, I want to challenge all of you
-
to also reach out to your friends. They need to know God, they
-
need to know Jesus. Amen. All right. Also our young adults,
-
Hey, young adults, all right, going for outing soon. Yeah,
-
invite your friends, Invite your friends. I invited my barber to why Wa
-
Why Wa Retreat. Yeah. I invited my barber because they're there. I
-
went to get a haircut. I got a new barba. Sorry, I
-
betrayed the last barber. Yeah, because he was so expensive. So now
-
I found this new new barber nearer to me, cheaper so much, people,
-
I have the price cheaper. So I'm going to this guy now.
-
And uh, you know what, it's very sad because it's very sad because
-
he he runs his business in Summit, right, So anyone here you want
-
to support this guy, you can go to Summit and get a haircut from
-
this guy. The shop has got a unique cut. I guess I'm saying
-
this because every time I go there, no one is there. No one
-
is in the shop, only him. He's saying that he's just sitting there
-
one time I found him just sleeping and then I was in. I already
-
made a point with him and say, hey, so faiet. He said,
-
how can I help you do a haircut for me? Then he suddenly
-
asked me because the last time I went, I told him about the Easter
-
event in uh Suban. He didn't come, but I think he was happy
-
that someone invited him. All right, So the next time I went,
-
he uh now suddenly tells me. Hey. He tells me another church,
-
and I say, you heard of this church before? I say yeah,
-
yeah. Then say I'm thinking of going there, thinking of going there,
-
and like whoa, well, at least not thinking a way to church.
-
I said, hey, why did you join? I said it's fine,
-
it's fine, Yeah, you can go try. Uh Then I said,
-
why you suddenly talk about going to church? They say like, I'm so
-
bored. I'm so bored. I want to I want to make some friends.
-
So I mean, I laughed not but actually he's very sad, right,
-
So I'm like, oh, okay, get here. That's he That's
-
what I thought. Why They were like, hey, hey is this camp?
-
Would you like to come? And he's like yeah, he's so happy.
-
I'm telling you someone good, like why walk camp again? Like this
-
guy hearing of someone telling you come to white Wal Camp. Sure, thank
-
you, thank you for you know. I can see he's like his joy
-
someone finally talking to him and inviting him to a camp. And so when
-
I first got the in the promo, now I send it to him.
-
I send it to him. I say, hey, this is the camera
-
we're talking about. You know, if you're interested here you can sign up.
-
Then he said, bro, thank you. His reply to me,
-
bro, thank you. Okay, So I hope he goes that. I
-
hope he goes that. I don't know. Yeah, anyway, I'll go
-
and get a few more hair cuts there and yeah, persuade him. So
-
anyway, why did I say that young people? Young people? Young people?
-
Yeah, all right, those who are young at heart. So hey,
-
keep going, all right. I want to tell you your age It
-
is just a number. Amen, Amen, The age is just a number.
-
Right. Why because if you keep doing things with the young people,
-
you keep living your life. You know, according to the word of God,
-
you will keep going. You will keep going the moment you stop,
-
the moment you stop. Oh, just telling me. You know, we've
-
been watching some documentaries about the Blue Water, Blue Zone, Blue Zone.
-
It's about how people live through hundreds of years, one hundred years old plus.
-
And so one of the things is this when they stop living, when
-
someone sends them to the old Folks Home to retire and now relax, their
-
lifespan suddenly cuts shot. Okay, I want to tell you. I encourage
-
you those who are you know, you don't consider yourself young adult and all
-
these kind of things. You know at the age is just a number.
-
Keep serving, all right, don't retire, you know after a while.
-
You know, I have this misconception. So I keep wanting to tell my
-
parents, hey, stop, don't do so much, sit down a bit
-
more, you know, I keep doing that last time, relax, you
-
know, don't don't don't walk around so much, don't go and carry the
-
Is that that? And then when I heard this documentary said don't don't don't
-
stop them from living. Let them live, let them do stuff, all
-
right. They will know I want not to carry all right, you don't
-
stop them, let them live. And so I stopped telling my parents do
-
to to know, don't don't do don't to sit down all these things.
-
Really, I encourage them to good. Walk okay, good good, help
-
me, help me do something right when I come back, you know,
-
to quantent they want to go and buy stuff. Thank you, go ahead,
-
go ahead, I'll come with you. I'll come with you. You
-
know. Yeah, they're active. Praise God. They're alive and well and
-
man. Okay, then there's blessings in uh. It says something about the
-
kneading ball, the basket and the kneading bowl. I understand, as I
-
understood that supplies and food. You will have enough food. And all the
-
foodies say, a lot of food is here. That's enough food. There's
-
enough supplies. Don't worry. It won't be like Mco where we couldn't get
-
even bread at the time. Right, remember that, or yourself. You
-
don't want to remember that. Right, go to the you go to the
-
grocery store empty shells. So sad, right, scary, But you know
-
the Lord will continue to bless you with enough. He says here the next
-
verse is in your going in and coming out right, you will be blessed.
-
Your travels will be safe. Aren't you glad that God actually specifies all
-
these things. He doesn't keep it vague. You know, he specifies what
-
is sin? He defines it so clearly what sin is, and then he
-
defines what blessing is so clearly. You will be blessed in your traveling.
-
Next time you travel. You're on the plane, you're on the car,
-
you're driving, you're on the boat, and you're wondering, is God gonna
-
really protect me? Remember you to on me twenty eight. I will bless
-
you, and you're going in and coming out, I will, right,
-
so you will be safe. God will protect you and he will provide for
-
you. Amen. And anyone who tries to attack you will be defeated.
-
All right. I'm sure you know many of us will have many testimonies about
-
that. That many people try to come against us. They're jealous, different
-
things, right, But the Lord will fight for us. Right. But
-
you know, very very carefully worded, those who try to attack you,
-
Right, we have enemies. Many of them don't try to attack you.
-
They just enemy with you. They just don't like you, and therefore they
-
are safe. Nothing happened to them yet. But the moment they try to
-
attack you, that's where they get into trouble. Yeah. Amen, And
-
all the people who have enemies, say careful not to say, I don't
-
have enemies. All my people, Ah, my friend are my friends all
-
right? Anyway? All right, so don't be afraid anyone who tries to
-
attack you. They're gonna get it, all right. The Lord is going
-
to fight for us, and he's gonna scatter them. Scatter Why because they
-
then they cannot regroup. They cannot regroup, they cannot plan another attack on
-
you. They will be scattered and their plans will fail. Yeah. So
-
the Lord has good strategy here. He doesn't just defeat them. He scatters
-
them and they no longer can mess with you. That's who our God is
-
so amazing. Finally, he says, here, all right, I gather
-
this as because he will command a blessing in your bond and the work of
-
your hands, the work of your hands, So that means your workplace.
-
He will bless you at your workplace. You don't let your workplace. Now
-
believe the promise of God that you are going to make your workplace awesome.
-
Right, don't wish to go to just Google and work life. Right,
-
you are the blessing in your workplace that the Lord has placed you there.
-
And when people see you, that all may see that the Man of God
-
is in my workplace, in my business. Therefore, I am going to
-
be blessed. Right, some of you you're already doing that. You don't
-
even know it. You're a blessing at your workplace. People love to have
-
you there. Then the moment you walk away and you leave, they will
-
miss you because you are God's child and you bring joy. You bring God's
-
presence to that to that workplace. It's so amazing. Colleges as well.
-
The moment you know you're there, the moment you're there, everyone loves it.
-
Everyone wants you to be around, right. They want you to be
-
their assignment partner right and do all the work for them. But but Nola,
-
you make disciples of them, you teach them. Hey, cat like
-
that. Ah, you must sit down with me and work. Don't just
-
take advantage of me. I know I'm super awesome, but right, that's
-
how I want to pass it on to you, so that you can be
-
awesome when I'm not around. Ah. First, believe in Jesus. Okay,
-
okay, all right, Yeah, God brings a blessing through you at
-
your workplace and in your work. And I will tell you one thing.
-
It talks about the land that I'm giving you a right. Although yeah,
-
that that that promise was for the people you know of God at that time
-
in Deuteronomy. But the Lord, I want to believe this is prophetic.
-
The Lord will always have a place for you, you know, whether you
-
have a you know, you have land or a place to stay, even
-
if you're renting it. You will have a place and people. You know,
-
that place can be a blessing to many people. You know, you
-
can invite the people in for healing for or you know, for for to
-
hear God's work and hear the life of the Lord, the life that God
-
wants to give to them. Amen. All right, And that's all the
-
blessing there that I want to talk about. And then we're gonna close soon.
-
Everyone doing okay? Children, you're taking still taking notes? Drawing,
-
Drawing me if you've done notes, draw me, draw my face. Ah,
-
someone Anna drew all day so beautiful? Yeah, so handsome? So
-
ken ken, that's the other activity, draw me, draw my face?
-
Okay, adults kind of so okay, all right, moving on, next
-
next light, next light, you th on me? Twenty eight nine.
-
The Lord will establish you as a people holy to himself, as he has
-
sworn to you if you keep the commandments of the Lord. He reminds us
-
a few tim keep the commandments. Keep the commandments, he reminds it a
-
few times. Here and walk in his waist. And then I want to
-
bring us to the New Testament little bit first Peter two nine to twelve.
-
Right, because God says he will make him make us a holy holy to
-
himself. But here in a New Testament, Jesus has already done that for
-
us, all right, So all we need to do is hold on to
-
Jesus. But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthuit, a holy
-
nation, a people for his own possession. That you may proclaim the excellencies
-
of Him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light as positive for
-
a while. Okay, you're moving a little bit quicker. Want to end
-
it before twelve? Okay? Children, sorry, you just write the bold
-
words if you need to otherwise, draw my face. Okay, I want
-
to focus here. First of all, holy nation is this is linked to
-
the verse we had just now. Right. God wants to make us,
-
want to establish us as his holy people, and he has already done that
-
through Jesus Christ. So if you believe in Jesus. You are a holy
-
nation. We are a holy nation. We have a we have another a
-
country. You know, as if you're living in your in another realm,
-
another realm, another dimension. If you watch Spider Man Spider Verse something like
-
that, you know, like you're in another verse. Right, we live
-
in another way, according to another rule, right, according to the word
-
of God. So let's continue to do that. But I want to focus
-
on this thing called uh with the word called the word called right. What
-
is this about? Let me let me just make sure I don't get this
-
wrong. They all may see that we are called right. Uh. Okay,
-
now we'll move on first, and then I'll talk about call right.
-
The next verse, next part care we finishes. Once you were not a
-
people, but now you are God's people. Once you had not received mercy,
-
but now you have received mercy. Beloved, I urge you, as
-
a journals and exiles, to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which
-
wage war against your soul right there against you. Don't be friends with the
-
passion of the flesh. Right, some of us we get mixed up,
-
and we become friends with the passion of the flesh and say they are at
-
war against you. Okay, be clear about that. And then the next
-
one, keep your conduct among the gentiles honorable, so that when they speak
-
against you as evil doers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God
-
on the day of visitation. All right, they need to see they need
-
to see our good work, our good deeds to be able to glorify God.
-
And they will glorify God, and they will turn to Jesus. When
-
they see you right, representing God doing what is right, they can turn
-
to God. It helps them, Okay, And that's what we want to
-
do. We want to help them turn to God. Now I want to
-
go back to verse ten. It's verse ten their Deuteronomy. Yeah, okay,
-
and all the peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by
-
the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you. Anyone
-
who here wants people to be afraid of you. No, nobody want to
-
sell you, Like, what kind of verse is this? You're You're like,
-
don't know where I want this? And everybody be afraid of me,
-
run away from me. I'll be the most lonely person in life. No,
-
okay, So let's let's let's be clear what this is actually saying,
-
so that you'll accept it and say, hey man, okay, so all
-
the people of the earth shall see that you are called the meaning of that.
-
Okay, Now it's like this, I just appointed student leaders in my
-
school, Okay. And what I did was I called them up. They
-
stood, and I got them to come to the front. Right, We're
-
just missing the badge. We haven't made the badges, so I haven't pinned
-
it on them yet. But basically what I'm doing is I'm appointing them as
-
student leaders. Were so proud to stand in front of all their friends.
-
I'm you're not right, that's what. Or you're prefect or very proud,
-
right, I'm prefect. You're not itself. You don't like that. So
-
how you go like, haha, you're prefect, we are not, thank
-
god, whatever, that's messed up. Okay. So anyway, Uh,
-
that's what it means. These people have been entrusted by the team right to
-
say, yeah they should be student leader. Put them up, records clean,
-
you know, cleaner generally, right, academics. Okay, So that's
-
why we appoint them. So same thing here. It actually means appointed.
-
The people shall see that you have been called by God. God wants to
-
call you out and say, Sarah Stan, don't understand by all right,
-
celestee Stan right? Roy stand okay, Johann stand. You know then I
-
have appointed you student leaders of exper come to the front right now to get
-
prayed for, and you know I will tell your responsibilities. So it's the
-
same thing here. God has called you. He has appointed you out of
-
so many people right on earth, and he wants to appoint more, but
-
he has called you first. And so you have been appointed and you have
-
something to do. You have a job, all right, you have a
-
role to play, and that's what it means by call. And so you're
-
like you're the prefects is okay? And then people are like afraid of you.
-
No, no, something like that. But let me explain to what
-
afraid Okay. It's actually Hebrew word, right, and if you look at
-
it properly, it means respect. It's like the fear of the Lord.
-
When you say I fear God doesn't mean you run away from him, right,
-
You fear him mean you respect him. So I will do things that
-
won't hurt him. I will do things according to his word because I revere
-
him. He's my father. It's just like how you're afraid of your father
-
sometimes, right, Oh, culfew, I'm late. My father's gonna kill
-
me. He never kills you, la, right, But you say that
-
because, oh no, he's gonna take away my privilege. He's gonna,
-
you know, I don't know, spank me or whatever. Right, you're
-
afraid in that way, but you respect your father. You respect your parents.
-
So the same thing here. People will respect you when because they see
-
you, they see you. This guy he brings his Bible around wherever he
-
goes. He knows the word of God. I don't know, so he
-
must have some answers, right, and so I respect him. Wow.
-
I've seen him pray. He thanks God before he eats at least, right,
-
I see him go for prayer. And he did offer me to pray.
-
You got a problem, I will pray for you, right, And
-
this guy knows God. And so that's what I respect this person. And
-
I'm afraid or so in a way because he can call curses on me,
-
right, you know, wh we don't do that, all right, you
-
don't. So you're appointed and that's why people will respect you. All right.
-
What's the next lie here? And all may see that we are called
-
It starts with Amen, and it comes with a blessing, and that all
-
may see that we are called Amen. We hope you've been blessed by this
-
message. For more information on our church, please visit church org. We
