  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Sent to Father the Nations. Sent to Father the Nations.

  4. Quite interesting the title here, all right, I would think

  5. it's still there on me, no, okay, but let me further,

  6. you know, get into it so we understand why I

  7. put this send to Father the Nations.

  8. Okay. Uh So why I.

  9. How this came about is because in a Book of Genesis,

  10. you know, when we're talk about missions, in my mind,

  11. I don't know it's just me or what, but I

  12. always think about Abraham. Okay, Abraham because he was the

  13. one sent sent out right from his land.

  14. So that's why.

  15. And and you know Abraham, you've heard of him, right,

  16. the father of many nations.

  17. Right, So that's why the word is there.

  18. But now let me just read from Romans first Romans chapter.

  19. Eleven, Romans chapter no.

  20. Chapter ten, Okay, chapter ten, verse thirteen to fifteen. Okay,

  21. let's read that, all right. If you have your bibles

  22. can turn together, all right. Otherwise you can listen, okay

  23. to what I'm reading. So as they say here, for

  24. everyone who calls the name of the Lord will be saved.

  25. How then will they call on him in whom they

  26. have not believed, And how are they to believe in

  27. him of whom they have never heard? So how do

  28. they believe? If they've not heard right? They need to hear.

  29. They need to hear from who. Look at your neighbor,

  30. say from you, say looka they say from you, all right,

  31. and then look at you and you're not a neighbor,

  32. and say from me, from me? They need to hear

  33. from you and from me. All right, those of us

  34. here we know the good news. We need to share it.

  35. They need to hear it. Yeah, otherwise they cannot believe. Okay,

  36. you know sometimes that.

  37. You you, you.

  38. You, you face some challenges that you go like and

  39. you go like, why these people are like that?

  40. You know why they're behaving like this?

  41. Why because they don't believe yet and why they have

  42. not believed? Because they have not heard right, And they

  43. need to hear from you and me.

  44. So after you say why, you have to point.

  45. Back to yourself or I haven't I haven't shared it,

  46. like I haven't shared That's why they're acting like this.

  47. That's why they still corrupted, behaving this way, all right?

  48. They need to hear from you and me a man.

  49. So right, we need to prepare ourselves even more to

  50. be able to share. And that's why you know we

  51. practice sharing. Your testimony so powerful. Right, you may not

  52. know all the scripture yet, it's okay, but you have

  53. a testimony.

  54. We prayed, we have a testimony. God moved. What can

  55. I say? How else can I explain this? All right?

  56. God moved?

  57. So okay, back to this. So they don't believe that

  58. because they need to hear and now and now are they?

  59. And how are they to hear without someone preaching? Without

  60. someone speaking? How are they to hear?

  61. All right?

  62. And how are they to preach unless they are sense?

  63. As it is written? How beautiful are the feet of

  64. those who preach the good news?

  65. All right?

  66. So we I guess in the end here we need

  67. to realize whether are we sent or not?

  68. All right?

  69. So if we don't, they can't hear because there's no

  70. one sharing, there's no one speaking, and maybe the person

  71. is not speaking. Again, you and I are we speak?

  72. Are we sharing? Are we speaking? Right to the peace people?

  73. Maybe because we don't realize that we are sent, that

  74. we are sent? So that's the question. Maybe the answer,

  75. you know, have I been sent? If I have been sent?

  76. Where?

  77. Where have I been sent? If you don't recognize that

  78. you have been sent here right wherever you are a

  79. Malaysia dell, whatever, IBM, I don't know what else where

  80. else you work right in your.

  81. School, scholar, mananga whatever, collar? All right?

  82. If you don't recognize that's where you've been sent, Malaysia,

  83. right from the Philippines, from in there, from Africa to Malaysia.

  84. You don't think that you've been sent, then you won't

  85. start to preach, you won't share, right, And that's so

  86. this is the truth of the word of God being

  87. shown here to us. All right, I'm still learning something

  88. new here, right. So if we why white people don't share,

  89. don't speak, don't you know? Open because we don't realize

  90. we're actually sent. We have been sent here. God has

  91. a mission for us. Amen, Amen, And so we need

  92. to accept the mission. Yeah, there's an assignment given. We

  93. need to accept it otherwise we won't do it.

  94. Amen.

  95. Okay, So tell your neighbor behind you or in front

  96. of you wherever, all right, you have been sent, You

  97. have been sent, Okay, So we need to accept that

  98. that sending.

  99. Okay, Now, I'm gonna move on, all.

  100. Right, of course, I just want to emphasize again the

  101. last words there, How beautiful are the feet of those

  102. who preach the good news? Okay, you look at your feet,

  103. I look at your feet. Look at your feet. For one,

  104. your feet beautiful or not? Most time feet doesn't look beautiful.

  105. Why no, you don't. You don't praise more beautiful feet, man,

  106. all right, But you know the Word of God is

  107. using that even though feet normally look not nice, now right,

  108. you're ready to look at people's face. Hands also look

  109. better than feet, right. And the smell, the smell, the

  110. smell of feet and what it steps on sometimes, right, okay,

  111. accidentally or whatever it is. Right, feet is the dirtiest lot,

  112. all right. It's dirtier. It's dirtier than your your bum

  113. because it's on the ground the bum at least it's

  114. in mid air.

  115. Okay. And then when you whenever you do a business,

  116. you wash it. One. Ah, you hardly wash your feet.

  117. Right, you're stepping, you stepping, you're stepping, right, So actually

  118. your feet is very dirty. So anyway, but the gospel

  119. says that the Word of God says, how beautiful are

  120. the feet of those who preach the gospel, all right,

  121. And so you want your feet be beautiful, you want

  122. it to be less smelly, right, says yeah. Those who

  123. reach the good news preach the gospel of peace, all right,

  124. and of good things are of good news. Amen, So

  125. let's preach, let's preach, let's go, it says, because those

  126. who appreciate they are sent they go. And then harlee lujah.

  127. All right, Let's go to Genesis eleven, right now, Genesis eleven.

  128. Genesis eleven is where we have the origin stories of

  129. Abraham dood.

  130. You all like that.

  131. You're like, uh, you know, when you watch a superhero movie,

  132. you go like, how did this guy becomes Spider Man?

  133. Right? How did this guy become whoever?

  134. I don't know what the superheroes now, Wolverine, whever, okay,

  135. very violent, this Wovery, Deadpool, this very violent?

  136. Okay.

  137. But anyway, but we all like to know the origin stories, right, like, oh,

  138. how did this guy you know, what happened to him? Yc

  139. suddenly Spider Man?

  140. All right?

  141. So anyway, Abram is a hero of faith, a man,

  142. so we know him. You know, father many nations. You know,

  143. he's the father of faith, father of faith. He's famous

  144. for faith, right, you see her. I know I read this.

  145. David was a king. Not many of us ended up

  146. being kings, all right. Moses was, he was a prince

  147. of Egypt. And you know that he will split the

  148. Red Sea and everything, all right, Moses, and you hear

  149. Moses the plagues now is like super drama, all right,

  150. it's like a movie, all right. Not many of us

  151. will see those things. Not many of us will split

  152. seas and stuff like that.

  153. All right.

  154. But when you think about Abraham, I think about Abraham,

  155. he's something we can achieve because all he did was faith,

  156. and he was also known as friend of God. So

  157. that's something we all can do, all right, immediately, right,

  158. you don't have to go to see you don't have

  159. to become a king, all right, you can be like Abraham. Yeah,

  160. and I'll tell you a little bit more. You know,

  161. although Abraham was known, you know, his famous, he's like

  162. a hero. You look at his origin stories, right, you

  163. see a lot of flaws, you see a lot of

  164. mystakes that he did, and yet God and shows God's grace,

  165. God's mercy in his life.

  166. Right.

  167. And when we when we think about that, yeah, Io

  168. can iso can be like Abraham. Okay, So let's go

  169. back now. So let's go to the origin stories of Abraham.

  170. It starts with the Tower of Babel. Okay, all right,

  171. So we tell Babel why because I guess talking about missions, right,

  172. And the nations came from there, all right, many languages

  173. all right, and the culture all started, I believe, from

  174. this place where they were coming together, all right, and

  175. they wanted to they build a kingdom.

  176. They had one language, all right, And.

  177. So there's the Tower of Babel, and God had to

  178. scatter them, right.

  179. It's all part of God's plant, you know.

  180. Even as they were building up and they were trying

  181. to build a kingdom, all right, God just by one

  182. flick of a finger, like right, yeah, you're build a

  183. kingdom wall, You've got a big army. I don't know

  184. what they did, right you are, you're you're building and

  185. building and you're so united, right, so familiar right right.

  186. It's like our governments of today. You know, we're trying

  187. to do something, you know, build the economy and everything.

  188. And by a flick of a finger, go like okay, scatter, scatter,

  189. all right.

  190. Uh.

  191. And I believe this is all but part of God's plan,

  192. all right, because it's better.

  193. Right.

  194. Now we have Nazi Lama. Now we have all the

  195. country Chinese food. Now we have so much variety. It's

  196. from I guess it's started from there, all right. Otherwise

  197. it's all the same food because the same language. Also united. Right,

  198. they just only have I don't want they had timeline.

  199. H what do you think they ate the time?

  200. Bread?

  201. Bread, bread, bread, bread, Just kidding, Okay, okay, So the

  202. Tower Babel happened and scattered, and so they we had

  203. now nations, right, culture, variety, uh and uh. So then

  204. moves on to chapter eleven. Right, you look at it,

  205. you look at it. You can see it talks about

  206. M's descendants. Shem is from no one, right, Noah's Noah's sons, right,

  207. and so from there, you know, it says the son

  208. of whos and whosig of who you will see that

  209. that what do you call that? You know, the genealogy, right,

  210. And then finally it comes to Terra. So Tara, you know,

  211. came from the descendants descended from Shem.

  212. And Tara was the father of Abram. Abram.

  213. Okay, he's who was not known as Abraham yet, right,

  214. Abram did you all know Abram's father's got era not

  215. very famous.

  216. Ah, but now you.

  217. Know, okay, Tara Terra Terra in basa terror means like

  218. very great, right, Like it's like from t E R

  219. R O R terror terror you sunger tara l you see,

  220. it means they're very.

  221. Awesome, you know.

  222. Anyway, Terra part of Abram, Nahore and Haran had He

  223. had three sons, right if you if you know, just

  224. look at chapter eleven there, so what happened in there?

  225. You can see Haran, one of his sons die, all right,

  226. So sad story. But Haran died before Tera, before before

  227. his father, all right, So meaning it's a sad thing

  228. to have your child die before you. So anyway, that's

  229. a sad story there. So Haran died and uh, and

  230. then you move on. You'll see Abram right got married

  231. to Sarah, and of course Nahore or who married someone

  232. Abram I put there in Beckett's father is because the

  233. meaning of his name is actually father.

  234. Abram's name means father.

  235. However, it also mentions that you will see that Abram

  236. and Sarah and Sarah was barren, so it's kind of

  237. like your nickname is father. But you are not a father,

  238. so a little bit sad or so there, all right,

  239. a bit maybe a bit embarrassing as well. Right, you're

  240. called father, You got married, but you can't have kids,

  241. so that's all right. What's what's going on there? It

  242. mentions that Sarah was Barren right, meaning of Sarah? I

  243. think it's princess, princess okay, beautiful name man okay. Anyway,

  244. Tara took his family from you can see in chapter eleven.

  245. It's interesting to me Tara actually took his whole family

  246. Abram Nahoor, you know Sarah and you know the others

  247. as well, and including Lot. Lot was the son of Hawn,

  248. so Hawan died and so there's Lot was Lot remained,

  249. which is a poor thing or so all right, now

  250. no father and so that's why that's why it shows,

  251. that's why Abram took care of Lot, and that's why

  252. there's some closeness there because can you imagine, right, the

  253. guy lost his dad, and so that's why he's looking

  254. for another father figure. So Abram ro he's meeting his

  255. father mass his father is anyone just kidding, all right?

  256. He I believe he loves to take care of people

  257. are all right, So he took care of a lot.

  258. And so back to this, Terror took the family from

  259. Earth to go to Canaan.

  260. All right.

  261. I've never really noticed this part, but I always read

  262. the part where Abram left er er of the Childians.

  263. They were all they were idle worshipers at the time.

  264. They you know, they didn't believe in.

  265. The Lord yet.

  266. But the Lord called him all right and brought him out.

  267. So anyway, if you notice this, all right, Terror, which

  268. is Abram's father, was the one who actually started doing this.

  269. He went out from Earth, brought brought the family, wanted

  270. to go to Canaan.

  271. All right.

  272. It's so this is interesting to me. All right, Well

  273. we'll come back to this later. But what happened was

  274. they stopped. The whole family stopped and settled at Haran.

  275. What his son's name was Haran, and he stopped at Haran.

  276. So I don't know what the story is exactly, but

  277. it sounds like maybe the place's name after his child

  278. or something. Maybe all right, but one of it is, uh,

  279. some link is there?

  280. All right?

  281. He stopped maybe maybe he started this place and he's like, oh,

  282. it's called Harran. Then the set music starts playing, I've

  283. got to stay here, right. I just remember my son

  284. right now, and he stayed there one way this I

  285. don't know. I'm just I'm just imagining a bit, okay.

  286. But anyway, so he stayed there, stayed there, stayed there,

  287. and when he was two hundred plus years old, he died.

  288. Tara died at Haran. He was going to Canaan. Did

  289. he arrive there, No, he didn't. He didn't make it

  290. there yet. He stopped Haran. It was the emo time

  291. there whatever, But he died there.

  292. Okay.

  293. So that's the bit of an origin story of Abraham.

  294. Right.

  295. So Tara died, and so we go on to chapter

  296. We're going to go on to chapter twelve. Right, Oh,

  297. but I.

  298. Wanted to say, is there the next light there? Yeah? No,

  299. kingdom is greater than the Kingdom of God.

  300. This is just talking about how the Tower of Babel, right,

  301. they were building, but they kept there.

  302. Are no match for God, and God is in control.

  303. Why I want to say this is because you know,

  304. I recently, you know, I went to buy apples and

  305. oranges and I saw like increased price, and so I

  306. was telling me eggs. You know, it's almost like double

  307. the price right cutting of eggs, and I mean, I'm

  308. human line, I feel a bit troubled. Everyone else, you know,

  309. and they we're hearing the throw price is going to

  310. cut increase soon and it is quite disturbing, right, just like,

  311. oh wow, how do we how can we survive?

  312. And I also worry.

  313. I worry about the people, the other people who you know,

  314. I can imagine like I don't know how much these

  315. people earn, and I go like, and then if the

  316. prices increase, how are they going to survive?

  317. And are then't going to turn the crime to survive? Right?

  318. So all these things just come in my mind like

  319. like it just troubles me, all right. And but but

  320. I read this and no matter what, you know, God

  321. is in control.

  322. He's still in charge, all right.

  323. And throughout this whole story of Abrahm, you will see

  324. that God is in control, all right. Just just looking

  325. at even how Tera brought his family going to Canaan.

  326. Stop that Haran didn't finish the journey, all right, But

  327. it's all part of God's plan. He allows it and

  328. he's working through it.

  329. Amen.

  330. So guys, So what I'm trying to say is I'm

  331. encouraging myself encouraging all of us here. Don't worry. Right,

  332. God is in control. He will provide. Continue to look

  333. to him and trust him even more now, right, even more.

  334. Now we look to him and trust him, all right,

  335. and He's going to come.

  336. Through for us.

  337. Amen, Amen, all right? Now moving on, So where we now?

  338. Chapter twelve. So in chapter twelve, all right, God speaks

  339. to Abram. We see what we see in Genesis chapter

  340. twelve is that God speaks to Abram. And if we

  341. look at the Book of Acts and in the Book

  342. of Hebrews, Abram got this message of going to getting

  343. getting out from Earth to Canaan. All right, And I'm guessing, right,

  344. I believe I you know, in my just my thoughts

  345. and my calculations of how this works out, is perhaps

  346. God already spoke to Abram, and the sequence is a

  347. bit mixed up in the you know, in Genesis eleven

  348. and twelve. But God spoke to Abram and say, you

  349. need to get out from er to go to Canaan.

  350. And so perhaps I imagine the conversation, It's like he

  351. goes to that daddy terror that no, I believe, I

  352. believe I need to go to Canaan. You know, you know,

  353. I heard a voice from this God right to bring

  354. me there. And then I I've got a feeling. It's

  355. like Tara goes like, oh you go, you want to go,

  356. you want to go to Canaan.

  357. Let's all go, let's all go.

  358. And that's why I see we see Tara bringing whole

  359. family going to Canaan. Okay, it's just my imagination, huh again,

  360. So maybe that's why. Then it goes and Abram is

  361. going along, Sarah's there, Lord is there, and they settled

  362. at Haran, and they stopped there, and Abram also stops there.

  363. And what I'm trying to say is sometimes sometimes all

  364. the good intentions, all the nice things that we hear,

  365. and sometimes even family can get in the way of

  366. what God told Abram. God told Abram to get out

  367. from earth and go to Canaan. Let's look at the

  368. exact words. Exact words Chapter twelve, Right, what does it

  369. say here? Now the Lord say to Abram Chapter twelve,

  370. verse one, I'm reading, all right, go from your country

  371. and your kindred and your father's house to the land

  372. that I will show you. What did I say here?

  373. Go from your country, get know from Earth. Get know

  374. from Earth, all right, go to Canaan, go to the

  375. place that I'm going to show you. Then he says,

  376. what and your kindred, your family, leave your family, That's

  377. what he's saying. Yeah, a lot a lot of people

  378. won't like this, and a lot of people take this

  379. and say, yeah, you Christians like to leave your family,

  380. all right, but not necessarily. This is just this, But

  381. this was specifically God told him to leave. Why maybe

  382. because they are holding him back, Maybe because I don't

  383. worship is going on, all right, and God wants him

  384. to have a clean cut from this. Go I've got

  385. a mission for you. You've got to do something, all right.

  386. I'm going to do something new. I'm going to something

  387. new in your life, all right. But he couldn't leave.

  388. They all walk together, all right, from Earth to Haran

  389. and stop there, and it was an Emo time whatever

  390. it is, you know Haran, you know, remember Harran.

  391. And so they all stayed.

  392. And but then finally Terra died. Terra died, all right,

  393. And perhaps sometimes that happens.

  394. And so then now Abram has no nothing to hold

  395. on to it.

  396. Oh my father has gone, So now let me leave,

  397. all right, say from your family from your father's house

  398. to the land.

  399. And I will show you.

  400. God really wants a clean cut that and he wants

  401. to get Abraham to move.

  402. But you know what happened. Abram brought Lot. Abram brought

  403. Lot along.

  404. Why because he's so loved him, right, and the poor

  405. thing is like, oh poor thing. The guy has know Dad,

  406. I gotta come take care of him. So he with

  407. that all right. He still brought his family. But the

  408. word of God is so clear that says get out

  409. from the country and from your family. I'm thinking he

  410. should have just let left a lot of the lot

  411. stay together with nahoor or whatever.

  412. Yeah, right, I've got to go all right? So why

  413. why you say this?

  414. Because when when you see that with a Lot in

  415. the picture, he caused a lot of problems for Abram, right,

  416. and until if you look, you look forward, you look

  417. in the next chapters, until Lot is gone, then Abram

  418. can move forward. So it took some timeline be a

  419. ding dong here and there. And that's like the story

  420. of our lives is in it. Right, we want to

  421. move about this family, we want to move, but there's

  422. things work whatever, right, and and we were helped back

  423. sometimes and then build ding dong here and I want

  424. to serve but right, whatever it is, right, could be,

  425. studies could be and all it's all good stuff.

  426. It's all valid, all can be argued, all right.

  427. But but God's word is very clear, and I believe

  428. he will provide away. He provides away, and sometimes it

  429. will take some time, right because we're struggling, We've got

  430. things to take care of. But he gives us an

  431. instruction very clearly, and he wants to do something new.

  432. Amen. So where are we now? Chapter twelve? Right? All right,

  433. all right?

  434. Yeah, So God spoke to Abram, go through your country

  435. and from your kindred, from your family, and from your

  436. father's house to the land, and I will show you.

  437. And it comes to with a promise, right, he says,

  438. and I will make you a great blessing.

  439. Abram was stuck in Haran.

  440. I said that, right, And when he left Haran he

  441. brought a lot, okay, And I want to highlight here

  442. that SARAHI was barren. That we mentioned the Genesis eleven.

  443. Now what am I trying to say here? Is Abram,

  444. like I said, he's he's not perfect, right, and he

  445. made mistakes and he struggled and it took some time

  446. to fully obey. And so what we will say is

  447. Abram actually partially obeyed God. He left, he left Earth,

  448. wanted to go Canaan stop, and Haran stayed there for

  449. a long time. Right, it's partial obedience. He obeyed but

  450. didn't finish, all right, said don't bring your family. He

  451. brought a lot, right, still went on with h took

  452. care of him. It's fine, and it all sounds good

  453. and nice, but he did not obey.

  454. All right.

  455. I mean we can argue, you said, but you know,

  456. you know, if Abram need to care a lot, and

  457. who's gonna take here a lot?

  458. And we're all very nice that we want to think

  459. for on behalf of people and things. That always says that.

  460. Yeah, he needs to he need someone to care for him,

  461. and you know all these things. But can we trust

  462. God that he's going to take a lot? Trust gone,

  463. he's got a plan. He's gonna he tells Abraham, gonna

  464. do something. He's got a plan for a lot. Then

  465. let a lot deal with godline, all right, I don't

  466. know how lot, how old lot wasn't but uh, it says,

  467. but what we know if we study this Abram partially obeyed.

  468. God, all right, But I thank God. He's merciful.

  469. He's merciful, he's kind, it's full of grace, and that's

  470. what we we all need that, and that's what's happening

  471. to all of us here. Even I think many of us.

  472. We're trying to obey God. Partially obeying God, a right,

  473. And it's weird thing on the day that we fully

  474. obey him. But we continue, all right, like Abraham, he continued,

  475. he continued, and God's grace what's upon him, all right,

  476. But we do see that Sarah remained barren and different things.

  477. That he struggled.

  478. You know, even I think there was a time he

  479. went to Egypt. He escaped to Egypt, and then some

  480. drama happened because he couldn't he didn't obey again, he

  481. was lying, all right, and then the pharaoh almost took

  482. Sarah as his wife. And so a few of these things.

  483. And then you know, as he brought a lot along

  484. and then he gave Lot all the land and uh so,

  485. so just the partial obedience and then and what we

  486. see is the blessing. There's no blessing, there's no blessing.

  487. Impartial obedience. That's why I'm saying here, all right, sometimes

  488. we don't see the blessing in our lives. Maybe we

  489. want to just take a look at a check, like

  490. is it because of our harshal obedience? And see God?

  491. Let's see God and see his full blessing come in

  492. our lives as we fully obey him.

  493. Amen. By his grace, by the power of His spirit,

  494. We're able to do that. Amen.

  495. So now I want to move on from here. All right,

  496. let's look at our own journey. Let's look at our

  497. own journey and where we are right now? Just now

  498. I mentioned if we don't white people don't believe because

  499. they haven't heard, right, And why haven't they heard? It's

  500. because there's no one preaching. And why is why are

  501. we not preaching? Because we don't know whether we're sent

  502. or not? Because you know we're sent, we will preach.

  503. Amen. And so.

  504. I want to ask us here, where where are we now?

  505. Where are we now? Where has God sent us?

  506. Right?

  507. Are we recognizing now that we are sent? Are we

  508. recognizing who have we been sent to?

  509. Okay?

  510. For some of us, you know, like including just talking

  511. about our family, we have our children. You know, God

  512. sent us as parents to speak to our children. All right,

  513. some of us are working in a place God has

  514. sent us there. Let's do something there. God has sent

  515. us here into this church.

  516. Yeah. So what what are we supposed to do here?

  517. All right?

  518. Are we here just to you know, come stand in worship?

  519. Or is there something that we need to do in

  520. the church?

  521. All right? Is there something that you need to contribute

  522. in the church? You know? Is there someone you need

  523. to se peak two in the church? All right? Uh so, church.

  524. Workplace, your family? Who have we been sent to? That's

  525. a question?

  526. Right?

  527. Uh So I want to encourage all of us to

  528. be aware, you know that we've been sent and these

  529. are the people.

  530. This is my mission ground. Okay.

  531. Of course you know some of us will go for

  532. missions as well. All right, you go for missions. If

  533. God calls you to go for missions, go And I

  534. want to courage all of us or so to sign

  535. up and do you know missions, because you will you

  536. will understand a little bit more what it means to

  537. be sent. Yeah, So sign up, you know, for the

  538. community outreaches that we do. Sign up for the trips

  539. that we are going to have. You know, if you're

  540. able to, you know, go go outside of the country. Right,

  541. we have church in Thailand, we have the church in Singapore,

  542. and there will be team they will go. And that

  543. experience is amazing because it helps us to understand how

  544. we are sent, how God sends us. So anyway back

  545. to this, So who have we been sent to?

  546. Now?

  547. The title of my message earlier was sent to Father

  548. the nations. Now, okay, this might be a better message

  549. on Father's Day, but I want to talk about fathers

  550. for what. Okay, but it's okay, So yeah, of course,

  551. mainly to the guys. To the guys, fathers soon to

  552. be father's right, and ladies, just listen, just listen.

  553. It might apply to you.

  554. So so just take whatever the Holy Spirit drops in

  555. your heart. So I've got three points here about fathers.

  556. All right, First thing is, uh, you know, I believe

  557. of course, I'm looking at the story of Abraham. Right,

  558. he was sent, he started from sent from Earth to

  559. go to Canaan and so from there he was to

  560. be the father of many nations.

  561. Right, what does it mean? What does it mean to

  562. be a father? Right? We're not just talking about biology.

  563. Biology, biological father very easy to be a biological father, dad, Right,

  564. But how do you actually really father people.

  565. Right, It's more it's intentional.

  566. You've got to be intentionally uh fathering someone, and you don't.

  567. It doesn't always have to be biological, right, there's you.

  568. You can be a spiritual father to people, all right.

  569. So the first thing I want to say is fathers

  570. need to recognize that they are fathers. Okay, first thing

  571. is fathers need to recognize that they are fathers because

  572. many times fathers are also in denial. Why because maybe

  573. especially men, we like to play play for people. I

  574. still play the Nintendo Switch sometimes with the kids. Jill

  575. hardly touches it right, and we love to play.

  576. We love fun. And so suddenly now you've got me

  577. father so serious? You know why? So serious? Right?

  578. Suddenly I have to think of a younger person. Right,

  579. is a challenger for many guys. But fathers need to

  580. recognize that they are father now, all right. And when

  581. you realize and you recognize that your father, you will

  582. you will you know some things you sacrifice her, like Okay,

  583. I gotta sleep earlier now, right, But why because I

  584. helped this guy sleep?

  585. Right?

  586. Got to be with the guy, right, If not, they

  587. will be in the room not sleeping, right, Now this

  588. person keeps coming to me and like say, Daddy, I

  589. want something like a Right.

  590. If we don't recognize it, we will be like in denial.

  591. Right I said, get away, like go find someone else,

  592. all right, then that's not fathering anymore, pushing away your responsibility.

  593. So fathers need to realize that they are fathers, and

  594. now we need to learn to be a father. Now,

  595. the next thing here I want to say is fathers

  596. need to know recognize who they are fathering, who they

  597. are fathering. Recognize your father's one thing. Now, you need

  598. to know who you're fathering, right, And so that's why.

  599. We say make disciples.

  600. And so if you don't recognize who you're fathering, right,

  601. then you won't know who.

  602. The father, right uh. And uh.

  603. You might recognize your father, but then you're not fathering anyone.

  604. So also we've heard it before, right, you're you're not

  605. leading anyone. If you do you look behind, no one's

  606. following you because you don't know who you're who's leading,

  607. who you're leading in the first place. So you do

  608. need to recognize who you are leading, who is your

  609. son and your daughter, right Uh? And so that's we

  610. call them disciples as well, so this one you know,

  611. male father mothers, Okay, and recognize their our disciples. So

  612. the other thing here I want to say is fathers

  613. need to recognize who their own father is.

  614. Right.

  615. If we try to father people but we don't recognize

  616. our own father firstly, of course father in heaven, God

  617. our father, right uh. And and we can't have you know, uh,

  618. spiritual fathers right in our own lives if you don't.

  619. If we know who our own father is.

  620. Then we know how we are as a son, how

  621. we behave, how we speak, right, we have.

  622. A role model to look to.

  623. Yeah, and sometimes we don't have it all right, we

  624. do need to go back to someone. And so that's

  625. why we make disciples, and we need to be disciples. Okay,

  626. ladies here you're doing okay, you're catching something. Yeah, So

  627. we need to recognize who our own father is, and

  628. so then we are able to then we are in alignment.

  629. We're in submission. We're not doing our own thing. Yeah,

  630. And we have someone to answer to. So let's say

  631. we we talk to someone unless we know, we know

  632. who we're taking care of. We're discipling and we want

  633. to make corrections. We shouted at this person, we have

  634. someone to answer to it, right, That helps us to

  635. be in check. Otherwise, you do whatever right, then nobody's

  636. want to question you.

  637. Right.

  638. So that's why we need someone to keep us in check.

  639. And so we need to recognize who is our own father.

  640. And then finally we need to recognize right. I think

  641. you can also you know, use the word making disciples, right.

  642. We need to know that we're raising sons and daughters fathers.

  643. The word father is powerful because when you say a father,

  644. we're talking about raising sons and daughters, not just you know,

  645. a believer, not just a Christian. We're raising sons and daughters.

  646. Sons and daughters. When we see sons and daughters is

  647. a very powerful word as well, because it's got to

  648. do with this. Like you know, when you talk about

  649. taking up your father's business, right, you won't do it

  650. just anyhow, You will do it how your father wants it,

  651. all right, okay, And so we want to know how

  652. exactly that wanted this to happen, and so sons and

  653. daughters were aligned to that.

  654. And so that's what we're doing here.

  655. Even in ex church we always say this, you know,

  656. we're raising up sons and daughters. So I want you,

  657. you know, I want to ask you a question. Do

  658. you see yourself as a son and a daughter of

  659. the church of this house?

  660. All right?

  661. And I want you, I want to encourage you to

  662. see yourself a little bit more this way. I am

  663. a son and I'm a daughter of this house. So

  664. how do you behave if you're if you see yourself

  665. that way. I'm not just another church goer. I'm not

  666. just another guy just just coming here and sitting. But

  667. if I'm a son and daughter or son or a

  668. daughter of the church of ex Church in Cyberjaya, what

  669. should I do?

  670. Then? What is my part? Right?

  671. There's a part that you play because now you're a

  672. son and a daughter of the house. And that's what

  673. we see ourselves as you know, you know me and

  674. Jill and you know a few of us here we

  675. see ourselves that way. And so that's why we will

  676. check with Pasta Kenad and go like, Pasta, how do

  677. you feel about how Excyberjaya is now when you come

  678. you know, whenever Pascal comes back here and he sees

  679. and you go like, I don't recognize this this church anymore?

  680. They are behaving differently right, and so, uh, you know,

  681. if we were sons and daughters, we'll be able to

  682. take it and say, hey, Jack, don't do this. You

  683. know this thing, don't don't sing that song really like

  684. that song is not I don't know. I'm just giving

  685. some examples, all right. Uh, it's not aligned to what

  686. were we believe in. And if I'm a son and daughter,

  687. of course maybe i've heard a bit like ouch, but

  688. I've got it. Okay, since my dad is telling me

  689. don't okay, I'll trust it.

  690. I'll go this way, all right. So, uh, do you

  691. understand what I'm saying.

  692. I want to encourage all of us here to see

  693. ourselves more and more as sons and daughters of the house.

  694. And so he we send you, all right, we say, hey, Sean,

  695. I want to send you to.

  696. Do x Pakistan. Okay, all right. I won't simply say that.

  697. We won't simply say all right, but I'm just giving example, right, scary, right,

  698. Will you go?

  699. Will you go?

  700. Son and daughter of the house, He'll say, You'll say,

  701. I pray about it first, Thanks, thanks for the privilege.

  702. I pray about it. Let the Lord lead me. If

  703. he calls me like he called Abraham. I'll go halfway first.

  704. I own settled there. Oh no, just okay, all right,

  705. just give you an example, a right, what if the

  706. instruction comes what if the request comes?

  707. Right, how do we respond to that? Yeah? Okay, uh, Amen,

  708. move on. Okay.

  709. Fathers remind and reprimand wow, stronger their reprimand now go

  710. through this. So fathers speak the good news. Father speak

  711. the good news. Fathers should speak life, and fathers should

  712. not be silent when it matters.

  713. Okay. Uh.

  714. And when there needs to be a reprimand correction, it

  715. needs to be done all right, otherwise the question is there.

  716. If not, then who will do it right? Father will

  717. do it okay.

  718. And it's only the father who can do it. If

  719. you leave it to someone else, I need to go

  720. to correct the child. I tell you the honest truth.

  721. Here this morning, I was praying here, so you saw it.

  722. I was prey. See this.

  723. Two boys kicking each other right there, two legs there.

  724. No one else is going to do it right, So

  725. I use my stop me and I continue and they

  726. stop like thank god, they stop. Good boys, good boys,

  727. at least they stopped right. The father is doing that right. Uh.

  728. Sometimes mom tries to do it, but sometimes it works sometimes, right,

  729. like mom is trying to you know, care for us young,

  730. all right, because mom's role is you know a lot

  731. of nurturing, right and carrying.

  732. So, uh, the fathers have that role and we have

  733. the gift.

  734. That's why a voice is like this then in the house,

  735. let me hear you. You see, the ladies don't have

  736. this voice. Ladies don't have this voice, all right, and

  737. so so we have the voice. God has given it

  738. to us. And this is and it is for a reason,

  739. for a reason a man, okay, and so yeah, if not,

  740. who will do it?

  741. Right?

  742. And I know, you know some of us here, you know,

  743. our families. You maybe the father figure in our families

  744. are not really present at the moment physically, but thank God,

  745. you know, thank you for the church. Thank God for

  746. you know, I don't know, maybe even like uncles and

  747. things like that.

  748. We can tap on that.

  749. And uh, you know, the Lot provides the Lot provides

  750. the father figure in our families. So no worries even

  751. if we don't have a biological fathers now, you know,

  752. for different whatever reason, there's always another father.

  753. Figure that we can look to.

  754. I believe, all right, if not look to Father God right,

  755. and he will reprimand us as well. Okay, so the voice,

  756. like I said, the voice of the fathers come with

  757. authority and power. Now I want to maybe share a

  758. little bit more on this. So just not the first

  759. one saying recognizing Father, right. I maybe my my own

  760. story is that until I recognized Pastor Kenneth as the

  761. father of this house in my life because I came,

  762. you know, God, I believe God sent me to the church,

  763. and I believe, you know, we all might need to

  764. consider this. Do you believe that God sent you here

  765. to this church?

  766. Right?

  767. Or is it like I decided this is my church

  768. and I picked it like like Netflix or something, all right,

  769. and if it doesn't please me, I'll go to another one,

  770. all right. So so if you think that way, then

  771. it's very easy. You will switch very easily. And even

  772. after you switch to the other one, you might switch

  773. to another one. What I'm saying is you gotta ask

  774. yourself that question, is it God will.

  775. Sent me here?

  776. Did the Holy Spirit send me here to this church?

  777. And so if you believe that, and I believe that's powerful,

  778. and I believe God definitely sends you a right to

  779. wherever you you're supposed to go. And so if you

  780. believe you're send here, then remain, remain and grow, remain

  781. and grow, and God has a plan.

  782. Okay, So.

  783. Now why did I say that I was gonna say

  784. about being sent to the church. Recognize myself, okay, Right,

  785. So so I came to ex Church, and then you

  786. know I was a church hopber. I will just tell

  787. you the truth. I hopped from church to church to

  788. church when I was a college student. All right, uh,

  789. and then we still over the nomadic church goers whatever

  790. it is like sounds silly right now, but anyway, a

  791. few of us now, but we're doing that. And then

  792. finally I kill the ex church and I felt like

  793. I need to stay here a bit more. You stay

  794. here a bit more because the messages from there was

  795. like that, or so like, hey, don't keep going to

  796. a church like hotel, right, you need to unpack.

  797. Thank God for churches like that. They would teach us

  798. that thing.

  799. Because when I went to all the others, I didn't

  800. hear all these messages, or maybe I wasn't hearing messages.

  801. I was just what I was doing. I was partying.

  802. But but when I went to.

  803. Ex church one day, and then the message was that

  804. you gotta unpack. This is not a hotel, right, your

  805. luggages are still there, not not open. Right, you gotta unpack,

  806. and you gotta you put up your picture frames right

  807. someways houses walls or clean right because you don't want

  808. to nail it.

  809. But how you unpacked.

  810. You're putting up furniture, you're putting your painting, you're saying,

  811. this is my house. I'm gonna do stuff in this house,

  812. and so unpacked. And so when I heard those messages,

  813. I go like, wow, this is new to me. It

  814. is new to me. I've got root down, words like

  815. root down right, Otherwise you're a seed that stays on

  816. the ground and never roots, and one one kick you

  817. fly everywhere and you never grow your remain a seed forever?

  818. Who wants to remain a seed forever? Or do you

  819. want to grow bare fruit?

  820. You know?

  821. Root down, grow roots all right, and have flowers and

  822. fruits and be a blessing. Right, that's what we want

  823. to see in our lives, all right. And I believe

  824. many of us are doing that already here, so praise God.

  825. So I heard that, I.

  826. Then started to realize you know, and I went up

  827. to pass, you know, and say, can you you know,

  828. kind of like lead me be my mentor or something

  829. like that, and to my surprise, you say yeah, sure,

  830. like whoa, okay, cool now then get serious, get serious

  831. all right? And so now he's my father, right, and

  832. he fathers me. He's very good, all right, because you know, uh,

  833. most times it's all good and dandy, all very nice.

  834. One is very kind.

  835. So but there are are a few times in my life, right,

  836. maybe I've mentioned before, when I go up to him,

  837. I complain I do this and I'm doing negative things

  838. and he.

  839. Will tell it to me.

  840. They say, like I told you before, you know, I

  841. was complaining with someone and he says, check, just deal

  842. with it now. I was like, oh, okay, all right,

  843. that's good. That's good.

  844. Uh. And there was one time, maybe I haven't shed

  845. it before I was.

  846. I actually signed up to work full time at that

  847. time because I was so sinful. I signed up to

  848. work full time to repay my sins, the wrong concept.

  849. But I was doing that.

  850. I was doing to be a graphic designer. And past

  851. Kenneth has this thing they do staff devotion, and it

  852. came to my turn. It came to my turn, and

  853. I don't know for what reason, maybe I forgot to

  854. prepare whatever. I took our daily bread and I tried

  855. to go in there and read the content there, and.

  856. I started to make up.

  857. Stories there and I said this and there. I went

  858. here and there and I said, yeah, you know, sorryer, sorry,

  859. I didn't prepare. I actually said it like then they

  860. all heard it. You just just listen first. Then late

  861. later he says, uh, you know, whenever it's your turn, everyone,

  862. you know, when it's your turn to do the woship

  863. is take it seriously and prepare.

  864. WHOA.

  865. It was painful for me to just hear those words,

  866. but someone had to do it.

  867. If not who you know who, I will.

  868. Never learn If he never said that it's hard to do.

  869. I'm sure it was hard for him to say that

  870. and do that. But if no one did that, I

  871. won't be here today. So I will be this guy

  872. always thinking like yeah, I can always wing it and

  873. just walk around do whatever like. But that helped me

  874. to wake up, and from that day on, I never

  875. never never prepared anymore. I'm always prepared, you know, or

  876. I try to reprepare her even it's just one day before.

  877. Just try and prepare if I if I forgot, then

  878. I won't be sleeping that that night, you know, and

  879. I'll just prepare.

  880. Okay. So that taught me a life lesson. Praise God.

  881. Some of us we need that.

  882. Yeah, I just want to check out anyone everyone here,

  883. all right? If you've had some someone like that in

  884. your life who just gave it to you.

  885. And you didn't like it at that time, but now.

  886. You appreciate it, raise your hands, anyone, anyone serious?

  887. Okay? So so you didn't raise your hand. I don't

  888. know why, but you're willing to accept to receive. Yeah.

  889. Maybe maybe the person who told you was very nicer.

  890. They said it until you didn't know it was a scolding.

  891. Okay. Anyway, anyway, all right, if no one, then who

  892. right now? Okay? Then the other thing is this I

  893. want to talk about. We say it.

  894. Reminding and reprimand okay, yeah, I mean I do appreciate

  895. you know, times where I speak with my children and wow,

  896. wow it's a retoulay right right, Okay, maybe I'll keep

  897. those stories on another day. Let's end it soon, okay,

  898. all right, uh, okay, let's go on to the last point,

  899. last point, last point.

  900. Father's role model.

  901. Okay, uh, actions speak louder than words. And we can't

  902. just recognize our role we say, recognize right that we

  903. are father or we are you know, we're helping someone,

  904. we're discipling someone.

  905. But we need to role model. We need to show

  906. it in.

  907. Our life, okay, because what we say or do plus

  908. how we say or do it will work hand in

  909. and it's powerful. Okay, and then we thank God for

  910. our role model in Christ Jesus. Now I want to

  911. go to one last scripture that we close. All right,

  912. maybe yeah, the musicians can come up soon. So first Timothy,

  913. chapter four, verse twelve. All right, I want to say,

  914. all right, before I read the scripture, when I first

  915. had kids.

  916. And realize I have to now.

  917. Be an example, right, A lot of things change in

  918. my life.

  919. I would be very honest with you. Right.

  920. There's one time, you know, when Judah was first was born, right,

  921. and his baby sitting at the back, and we normally

  922. put him in the back in a chelsea. I uh,

  923. you know, normally when I dry life and like many

  924. of us, a lot of people make you angry when

  925. you drive. Right, many almost every day when you drive

  926. while you some of them somehow make you angry and

  927. like Sally cut you or honk you for no reason,

  928. whatever it is. And so uh, to be very honest

  929. with you, all this foul language, right, especially when I'm alone,

  930. when some of the were like, oh, you know, stop.

  931. It, and sometimes the foul language would just come out. Right.

  932. But when ahead, juda right, it's right at the back

  933. seat there and the child seat there.

  934. Right. There's one time I tried to.

  935. Control myself when I when I had when I had Tudor,

  936. I really tried to control myself, you know. And there's

  937. one just one time some something happened and I got

  938. me so riled up. I actually say a bad way

  939. and then stop, go ahead just there. Oh man, you

  940. heard it. I don't think you realize it until now

  941. it but but.

  942. That really kept me checked and I realized I have

  943. to be a role model. I just can't do anything

  944. I like.

  945. And so that's why at this point here about being

  946. a role model is so important because uh, you know,

  947. when you think and you realize that you need to

  948. be a role model, you will live your life a

  949. bit more, right, Yeah, But the best role model you

  950. can be is your love for for God, love for God,

  951. love for Jesus. And as they see that, you know,

  952. as people that follow you see that, people your fathering

  953. see that. They they have an example, you know, because

  954. they read in the Bible. They read Abraham everybody David

  955. so awesome. But they don't see these people. And that's

  956. why we need real life people around. Yeah, I'm not

  957. talking about just past us and elders.

  958. Look at your friend.

  959. Look your friend, say he's talking about you. Okay, a friend,

  960. Look at friends, say he's talking about you. Right, you,

  961. you can be a role model. You don't have to

  962. wait for them. You don't have to wait to be fifty.

  963. They don't need to be a role model. If you're

  964. not a role model now by fifty, I don't know

  965. whether you will be a role model.

  966. Right.

  967. It starts now, starts now. Okay, So let's have that awareness.

  968. Right.

  969. We are sent to father the nations. We are sent

  970. to be a parent to the nations. No matter how

  971. young you are, don't despise your youth. And the last

  972. verse I want to read is this First Timothy, chapter four,

  973. verse twelve. Okay, let no one despise you for your youth.

  974. But set the believers an example. Everyone, say example example

  975. in what five things here?

  976. Show me five? Hey, we count down? Example in what

  977. number one? Speech? You know? Speech? How we speak? Example

  978. in how we speak? Right?

  979. Some of us our examples are then the singers in

  980. spoti five, and so our speech follows that. Right, be

  981. careful with that right, all the movies or whatever. But

  982. let let your example be Father, God, the Lord, the

  983. Lord Jesus.

  984. And so when you speak, you speak out of the

  985. word of God.

  986. So be an example in speech. Next the example in

  987. conduct and conduct, in the way we do things, how

  988. we do things right? How you do your assignments you're

  989. leave it all for your friend to do right? Or

  990. how you enter people's house and leave the house right,

  991. do you do it respectfully? In your conduct, in your

  992. in your in church?

  993. Right?

  994. Okay this time, don't kill me. How you arrive at church?

  995. I'm bothering you guys, now, please all right? Then you

  996. are you take it? How you arrive at church? What

  997. time you arrive at church?

  998. You know? Noah, he h too much? No Noah. You

  999. know the team is supposed to arrive at seven forty.

  1000. He arrives at.

  1001. Seven, And I won't stop him.

1002. No, I won't stop him. But yeah, okay, So how

1003. do we arrive at church? Right?

1004. How do we serve? How do we whatever? How do

1005. we you keep the quiet time?

1006. Conduct? Number three? In love? Right? Just now? I sit

1007. there in love or not? Yeah?

  1008. In love enough. I didn't shout at you. I didn't

1009. pinpoint people except Noah, all right. I didn't name and

1010. shame anyone, all right. I was in love okay, all right,

1011. all right, I'm sure you have real reasons. Ah, if

1012. you were late today, whatever, don't worry, okay, all right, No,

1013. no condemnation in Christ Jesus, yay before Okay. In faith, wow,

  1014. it's very important.

  1015. Okay. What is faith?

1016. Abraham stepped out in faith not knowing where he was going.

1017. Right, That's what the Bible says. That's what the New

  1018. Testament says.

1019. And sometimes, you know, you say, I want to surf,

1020. want to serve, but I don't know what it's going

1021. to cost me. Yeah, you can try and calculate the

1022. cost as much as possible, but uh, it's it's faith.

  1023. It's faith. You know.

1024. We we we do pre marriage counseling with people and

1025. we say, you know, there's a lot of people say,

  1026. I don't know when I'll get married.

1027. No, I need to already collect all my money. Da

  1028. da da.

1029. Right, but sometimes, but getting married is a step of faith.

1030. You won't know you have everything yet in place. But

1031. if you have enough, you know sufficient. You go and

1032. you say, okay, God, you need to help me. Now

1033. faith and then have having children with the economy situation, Now.

  1034. How you count it?

1035. So it won't make sense, right, but step of faith,

1036. step of faith. Man, So same thing with serving, same

1037. thing with church, right, same thing. We go into missions

1038. and then finally in purity. Wow, this one is hard, right,

1039. it's hard, but it says, yeah, this is instruction. And

1040. so Paul is trying to be a father to us

1041. as he's doing it with Timothy. You need to keep purity.

1042. You need to keep pure. Don't be like everyone else.

1043. Everyone else is doing it, but we don't have to, right,

1044. Everyone is watching the stuff on Netflix that we shouldn't

1045. be watching, but we don't have to.

  1046. Amen.

1047. Yeah, doesn't mean everyone's watching YouTube. You must watch YouTube,

1048. plan right, it feels like you must. Everyone is doing it.

1049. So I feel that i must because I'm part of everyone.

1050. Are you part of everyone?

  1051. Oh? You're not.

1052. You're different. We're different. Hey, tell your neighbor you are different.

1053. You're different, You're not part of everyone. Man, you are

1054. God's children. God is your father. Many people out there,

1055. they don't understand God is their father, right, their father

1056. is someone else. But they need to know God the

  1057. Father soon.

  1058. Amen.
