You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
It's a privilege to be able to come and you know,
-
give God to work to all of us this morning.
-
It's so good, yeah, to just be able to worship him.
-
I mean, you have the freedom to do that, you know,
-
So we don't want to take this for granted, you know.
-
And it's good to have to see everyone, to be
-
together with everyone here. Let's continue to do that, you know.
-
Let's not ever you know, give it to the flesh
-
and let's continue to invite. Let's continue to you know,
-
work with the Kingdom of God. There's space, you know,
-
as we see around us. And I want to say that,
-
as we've said it before. You know, it doesn't have
-
to be limited to just the worship time at ten
-
ten ten ten ten, than that is another just plant okay,
-
then you know we can always plant another one, yeah, uh.
-
And I mean as long as there's willing.
-
Soul's willing hearts, all right, we can definitely do that
-
because so many more, so many more need to know
-
the love of Jesus, all right, uh, and to know
-
his word. And so we're always willing and open. The
-
flesh is weak, right, but the spirit is willing. So
-
let's continue to look to the spirit. Submit to the spirit.
-
All right.
-
By God's grace, we can amen. So I want to
-
say a few things before I get into the world,
-
and then I want to pray. I want to pray
-
with all of us here. It's missions emphasis month. That's
-
why you know we're dressed up and funky costumes. Beautiful
-
costumes matter. Yeah, yeah, I got this what do you
-
call this?
-
Kurta corta?
-
Okay, I got this kurta a long time ago, although
-
it looks very new because you know, hardlywhear.
-
So.
-
In fact, I wore this to my sister's wedding. I'm like,
-
I don't know whether I should have done that, but yeah, probably, yeah, yeah,
-
I was gonna rebel, you know, even at that time,
-
so I just simply wear things. Although I thought it
-
was nice, and she asked me to do, you know,
-
the wedding worship, and I did some weird song.
-
Uh, it's just weird. Everything was weird.
-
The last time I did a wedding worship. I said
-
this to submers before back in Quantan. You know, I
-
was a kid. Somehow this person let me do, asked
-
me to do. I did a worship I did. I
-
didn't do worship, so I did some song and then
-
it was from Jass of Clay, you know, anyone who
-
knows Jazz of Clay. Then I did the song arm
-
Snail Down. You know, you know that song career called Liquid.
-
It's like a really rock the couples like whatever, you know,
-
you they invited me to do.
-
I did that.
-
He didn't die for nothing, you know, the whole screaming thing.
-
And the next moment, I know, you know, a few
-
months later they got divorced. I'm like, oh, so anyway,
-
I was messed up like that anyway, I don't think
-
it was my problem.
-
Now is they did themselves right anyway, made decisions before.
-
Yeah, yeah that I got revived, and you know, and
-
then now I do a bit better. You know, when
-
where I get invited to worship, all right, I did
-
for I end uping gone.
-
So they're still married.
-
And they're okay, okay, we're doing well.
-
So anyway back here, what I was seeing wa wait
-
wait wait, I thought about that. Yeah.
-
Discussive, discussive yeah yeah, yeah, so uh I got it
-
in Singapore. Got in Singapore, all right. I was just
-
telling a few leaders there. I got it when when
-
I went to Singapore for a shopping competition. They can't
-
believe that I went for a shopping competition.
-
I actually got.
-
Second place, all right with another you know friend of mine.
-
The first place was went to went to Aussie's, Aussie's Australians.
-
We had to go shopping Australians. So we got second place.
-
And how we did that was it wasn't by fluke,
-
all right. We actually went for we we went for research.
-
We did research, shopping research. I'm telling you, men are
-
very good with shopping if you let them, Okay, So
-
all right, I got a card. They put in quite
-
a big I mean I've got a good amount of
-
money because seeing dollars right, uh. Me and my friend
-
we went the night before and walked around the whole
-
Singapore because we were supposed to shop around Singapore. So
-
we walked around you know, and know Singapore is that small.
-
So so we we saw all the discounts, and I
-
was telling the group there the.
-
The highest discount was ladies dresses.
-
So we were two men and go like we got
-
grab that and then we ran, you know, and then
-
they ran to this whole steck and we grabbed all
-
the ninety percent dresses, bought them. I don't know where
-
they are now because we bought them and she actually.
-
Belonged to us. I think we gave you away to
-
some people. Maybe.
-
Yeah, I didn't bring back because the sizes are all out,
-
you know, that's ninety percent. It's all out sizes and
-
somehow I don't know where all yeah, when, but.
-
We got second place.
-
Yeah, and then where I came on newspapers and stuff,
-
called me, interviewed and everything. So yeah, yeah, there was
-
It was interesting.
-
Okay.
-
Anyway, that's how I got this now anyway, back to
-
back to yeah, most serious things. Okay, all right, I
-
want to share some things, all right. Firstly, you want
-
to say, you know, send greetings from our foundings in
-
your pasta pass Cannath h and also you know Passendra
-
is she they are in Iskandar as we saw and
-
you know we prayed for them h and it Skanda
-
is having the anniversary anniversary, so that's why he's there.
-
Yeah.
-
Also yesterday if some of you many of you were there,
-
thank you for being there for the victory Academy production.
-
And that was our first ever major production. All right.
-
We brought the whole school together.
-
It's unbelievable in a sense because the whole school was involved,
-
all the students, primary and secondary. Everybody played some partler,
-
you know, and it was a really beautiful picture. I'm
-
telling the truth. When we were preparing them and practicing
-
at first, you know, it started all very playful. Yeah, yeah,
-
let's do production, let's act you know, like funny. But
-
then when it came nearer to the date and became
-
more real, suddenly they were like, it's getting real.
-
People actually going to watch us.
-
Oh my wall, And then you know, and people paid
-
for it and stuff like that, right, so you have
-
more expectations.
-
And so we there were some tears.
-
People some are crying and like, you know, and nervous
-
and say like I can't say this line. You know,
-
I don't know why, you know, and and so all
-
these things got real and but eventually, you know, thank god,
-
they pulled it off. Yeah, and some sometimes we need that,
-
we need some things to get real in our lives.
-
On even Oh, then now let's pray, let's really pray,
-
all right, let's let's see God let's get serious. Let's
-
get down to business, all right. So you know, uh
-
and and you know, so when things get real in
-
your life, don't be afraid. It's for a reason. It
-
tests us, right, and so thank God we are people
-
of God, we can always look to him.
-
Right.
-
Exams are real, right, exams, it's like always getting real.
-
Why didn't I study, you know, weeks before? And then
-
of course the most real thing is when you when
-
you come face to face with God, uh, you know,
-
at the end and go like why you know, why
-
didn't you this or that?
-
So let's let's prepare, all right, let's prepare. There's still time.
-
God is so kind he gives us another chance and
-
another chance again, so it's getting real when he gets real.
-
Then only panic too late. All right, let's get ready now,
-
let's prepare now, and then by the time we're steady,
-
all right, because we know we're in the truth and
-
the truth has set us free.
-
Amen, harleelujah. Amen.
-
So now, so I also want to say, you know,
-
I want to share it since his missions emphasis month
-
and giving time is coming up, right, we believe in this,
-
you know, as a church, that we do need to
-
you know, give for missions specifically, because this is what
-
God wants to do.
-
You know, it's in the Bible.
-
We can see, you know, God mentions the nations, the
-
nations when you know in Revelations, when you read it
-
and you see you know in heaven will he specifically
-
mentions the nations are there. That means people everywhere, you know,
-
He wants everyone to be there. So so that's why
-
we do the same thing. And we want to work.
-
We've got partner. We've got to reach all and man
-
and so yeah, I want to talk about the missions
-
giving for a while, so I know it's coming up.
-
And uh so what what is what happened? You know,
-
just very honest. Financially, Uh, it was not It has
-
not been looking very good, you know in terms of
-
our family and so uh you know, of course of bills.
-
To pay things like that. You know, in the middle
-
of the of the year.
-
I don't know about all of you, but in the
-
middle of the years, somehow there's a lot of bills
-
to pay. Is it the same for all of you
-
or is it just a family middle of the year
-
right right? All the taxi run now the tukay, all
-
the text insurance or suddenly the middle of the year.
-
So yeah, that's why you know, the funds are going
-
down and things like that. And so I I realized,
-
and I told you, I told you, like, hey, missions
-
giving coming up, nothing to give. I actually say somebody like,
-
we're not going to give I mean, we have to
-
go and dig from the reserves or whatever. I was
-
ready to do all that, but I didn't like the
-
practice of keep digging from the reserve. You know, then
-
like keep digini and then by the time the reserves
-
you right, you keep digging from the reserve. So anyway,
-
I pray, I just pray a simple prayer, you know.
-
I didn't do a long prayer whatever. But I just say, Lord,
-
I believe you can you can provide. You can provide
-
for us to be able to give a good amount,
-
a good amount, all right. And so within the next
-
few days and weeks, you know, well I don't go
-
into the details of how, but God provided a significant
-
amount of money, you know, to us through you know,
-
different you know ways, but we are able.
-
Right now, I just want to say, we're able.
-
To give a good amount to missions, and I pray
-
God for that.
-
Hallelujah, Amen.
-
So that's that's the testimony, all right, And so I
-
want to why I share this is also I want
-
to challenge all of us here. You know that you
-
may be facing challenge, You may be even facing financial
-
you know, difficulty, But all you need to do is
-
turn to God. Turn to God, ask him he is
-
a provider.
-
Amen.
-
Right, that's what we say, right, he's a provider, then
-
look to him law to provide.
-
It's as simple as that, right.
-
We all need some childlike faith, yeah, uh and uh,
-
you know, then be ready to receive. And of course
-
you don't walk with him, lah, don't just ask him
-
ather leave him alone like atm machine.
-
Right, it's not but walk with him, right and uh,
-
and seek him and he will provide. Amen.
-
So I just wanted to shad it simple and quick
-
but powerful testimony that we are able to be able
-
to give for the missions. And I want to encourage
-
all of us here as well be faithful that. All right,
-
With whatever amount you have, you set it a sign
-
and give it onto the law, give it to missions,
-
because we need to do something.
-
With that money for missions. Amen. All right. So I
-
want to say I'm so glad to see.
-
The different students coming back, all right, Uh, maybe we
-
went on holiday or whatever it is something like that, okay,
-
all right, But anyway, I want to say that we
-
are doing this rock climbing activity, okay, especially for our youth.
-
Who's our youth.
-
Youth is our teenagers and our campus students. All right,
-
So if you are in college and university right now,
-
we're actually doing this rock climbing thing today today? What
-
time again? Three pm? Where Putra Jaya Extreme Park. Where's
-
you go?
-
Taman Taman.
-
German Jabar means challenge challenge, challenge park. Okay, all right,
-
So if you are interest that, you can still join. Okay,
-
even if you're not a youth you want to climb
-
some rocks, just join, okay. All you need to do
-
is go and talk to uh Chingo Priscilla, yeah all right,
-
uh and she will sign you up.
-
Okay.
-
Transport all that we can work around, work on it
-
to get there. So three pm is the time we
-
are going for rock climbing, especially for our campus students.
-
Teens you can.
-
Join as well, uh and anyone else because they are
-
families joining as well. There are some families with children
-
joining as well. It's going to be fun. Okay, No,
-
you don't have to. It's not a competition, all right.
-
You don't not obliged to climb until the top, all right.
-
If you just want to touch the rock a bit,
-
so it's okay, just to have some fun and get
-
to know one another. You can also invite friends, right,
-
if you have some friends, you can you can text.
-
Now I allow you to all right, while listening multitask
-
you text your friend you want to go for rock
-
climbing just today, like I allow you to do that,
-
all right, But yeah, I just wanted to tell you guys,
-
that's what we're doing, all right. And then okay, few
-
more things. Huh, you're okay. I mean, I'm just trying
-
to talk to the church today. So one more thing
-
is this. I was mentioning about the mixer. All right,
-
look at a beautiful mixer here, all right. Do you
-
really realize the difference. Yeah, it's a small, little one.
-
So it used to be what four or five times
-
you get in this around there? Yeah, this is what
-
you call how many channels?
-
Five?
-
Five channel? The one before was fourteen, okay, fourteen channels?
-
So all right, what happened was that channel that mixer
-
got damaged After ten years thank god. All right, it's
-
been faithful for ten years, all right. But now this
-
is actually Adel's personal mixer, all right, thank you for
-
allowing us to use that. So now he can't do
-
his song production at home anymore, all right, but h
-
yeah for now. But so, but what we need to
-
do is this, all right. I was just telling the leaders.
-
We want to get a new one, all right, and
-
we don't get expensive onlines. It's just you know, good price.
-
But but it works for ten years at least, you know.
-
So we're going to get a new one soon. And uh,
-
you know, the way we work here in church is
-
in our church is we try to raise the funds
-
first from the local plan, all right, and not go
-
straight to the you know, to the church finances and
-
say let's let's buy straight away there, because we want
-
to take initiative, all right, We want to take ownership,
-
and so we want to raise some funds first from outside. Uh.
-
And I mean there's no like real real rush for that,
-
but then we don't want to take too long for that.
-
I just want to talk to you about that first.
-
To raise some amount now okay, may not be the
-
full amount. We see what we can do all right,
-
and then from there we are we we then we
-
approach the central Church and say this what we managed
-
to raise. We need some help from the central right now.
-
And so they are more than willing. They're more than
-
willing always to you know, to fund whatever that's needed.
-
But then we don't want to also just keep taking, right,
-
We're a church who gives. So this is something that
-
I just want to tell you.
-
Hits up.
-
I don't know when the target is to get the
-
new one next, but sooner, so right, but priority your
-
missions first, missions fund first, all right, So whatever you
-
can save up set aside, contribute to that first, all right.
-
Don't go and give to the MIXERU they say nothing
-
for missions, all right, So all right, just helping us
-
to prioritize missions first. Then this one we will collect
-
later on, okay, but again no obligation. Right, it's all
-
from a willing heart, as the Lord leads you. And
-
then one more thing before I go into the message,
-
I need to say this, okay, I said it before.
-
Is a choir acquire. I'm serious about this. We're serious
-
about this. You talk to the worship Pastor's office, they're
-
like excited that we're doing this. Okay, we're going to
-
have a choir. We're going to have a choir. I
-
think they're gonna stand here. They're gonna stand here, okay,
-
looking at all of you and singing all right, and
-
clapping the hands and raising their hands. It's not gonna
-
be a dead choir, say as somebody say amen to that.
-
It's not gonna be a dead choir, right, because that's
-
not why we have a choir.
-
The choir.
-
The choir is to lead all of the rest of
-
us to be excited, you know, in our worship. Yeah,
-
so I want you all to start practicing already from there,
-
all right. Start clapping your hands a bit more, start
-
singing out a bit more, right, Start smiling you know what.
-
The choir has to smile a right, no matter how
-
you feel, what you came in with on baggage, Come
-
in your choir, your aunt, you're smiling.
-
Yeah, right, let's worship. Let's praise the Lord.
-
I mean out of a joyful heartline all right, I
-
mean don't don't don't do it out of foster, right,
-
but walk with God. Get your quiet time, right, okay,
-
And then as you join the choir, it's out of
-
your heart out of your heart that you know you
-
you love God and you're smiling, you're raising hands.
-
And clapping all right.
-
Uh, yeah, we want to do that because you know,
-
if I suddenly ask some of you suddenly to go
-
play the can, the one, you need to learn up
-
a lot of things, right. But choir, Hey, you've been
-
seeing all your life, right, some of you in the toilet,
-
but you know you've been seeing all your life, right,
-
and that's your immediate instrument.
-
You don't need to buy anything. Maybe it's some new.
-
Clothes, are right, because we might want to like coordinate,
-
you know, simple, we won't make it so difficult and simple,
-
you know, dress up, you know, don't make a short
-
sly at least, you know, so something like that. We
-
want to do the choir and open to any age group, yeah, kids,
-
to adults all right. Of course we might need to
-
come a liarle bit okay, so uh that's and also
-
it's an opportunity.
-
To serve, all right. Uh, and uh we want to
-
set up choir.
-
So what's gonna happen is you can also immediately right now,
-
you know, from today onwards, just tell your homes leader
-
I'm interested to be part of the choir, and then
-
your homesteader will let us all know the Extreme team
-
and we will.
-
You know what you call roster you to do.
-
Maybe we start once or twice a month first. I mean,
-
we may not have the choir every week. We'll see
-
the availability. How many people have right, we have cohan,
-
we put don't have co hon. It's okay, all right?
-
Uh have choir? We put choir? No choir, it's okay,
-
right choir. I think at least it must have three people,
-
are right?
-
Two?
-
Maybe they get you to back up la straight. We
-
think the mic ands Okay, we don't know. We we'll decide, Okay,
-
I'll talk to Adriel, who is our coordinator for Extreme.
-
All right, yeah, okay, everyone, okay, they were excited to
-
join the choir. Okay, okay, don't worry. We'll train you.
-
We'll train you. Okay, we'll train you. Right, don't wor
-
lead you sing out because you're not putting a mic there,
-
so you sing how bad? So it's okay, it's not
-
really you know, hurd, it's more of you like yeah, yeah, yeah.
-
Take it as your workout on Sunday.
-
Okay, okay, hope, I don't scare you, all right.
-
All rights, as the Lord leads you to join.
-
Okay, right, So that's about all I wanted to say,
-
right in terms of like some administrative things. Now let's
-
get into the message, right. The message today is I,
-
uh simply just title missions at acts at our church
-
because I want to just share a little bit of
-
what we do here and uh, and then we can
-
I want in the end, I want to encourage everyone
-
to participate, to take part, yeah, to take part by praying, praying,
-
you know, for what we are doing here in our church,
-
in terms of missions, in terms of evangelizing, in terms
-
of cross culture. Right, as doctor Jill mentioned, right, was
-
what was she talking about last week?
-
What is missions? Right?
-
And so missions is basically like evangelizing, but cross culture,
-
all right, and so getting out of your confidence zone
-
to reach someone else. Yeah, that maybe that's different from you.
-
And so I want to want to share a little
-
bit of what we do here for missions. So I
-
want to start with Luke nineteen verse one to ten. Okay,
-
let's look at this story just to catch the heart
-
little bit you know of missions. What it means again,
-
Luke nineteen verse one to ten. Let's read this story. Okay, right,
-
if you're there, you can return to your bibles. If not, yeah,
-
thank you XTV for still putting it up.
-
Is good. Right, here we go.
-
He entered Jericho and was passing through, and there was
-
a man named Zachius. He was a chief text collector
-
and was rich, and he was seeking to see who
-
Jesus was, but on account of the crowd, he could not.
-
He could not because he was small of stature. Everyone
-
says small, small, So so what he did He ran on?
-
He ran on ahead and climbed up into a sycamore
-
tree to see him, for he was about to pass
-
that way. And when Jesus came to the place, he
-
looked up and said to him, Sachius, hurry and come down,
-
for I must stay at your house today.
-
So he hurried.
-
Okay, So he hurried and came down and received him joyfully.
-
And when they saw it, they all grumble, what are
-
these people?
-
Yeah? They all okay, they and grumbled he.
-
Has gone in to be the guest of a man
-
who is a sinner. And Zacchius stood and said to
-
the Lord. What did he say, the old Lord? The
-
half of my goods I give to the poor and
-
if I have defrauded anyone of anything, I restore it
-
four fold. And Jesus said to him today, salvation has
-
come to this house since he is able, sorry, since
-
he's also a son of Abraham, for the son of
-
Man came to seek and save the lost.
-
Amen, we stopped there.
-
Praise God for this powerful word here, for this powerful
-
story of Zacchius. So what happened Zacchius? You know he
-
was a text collector and what it was, he was
-
a text collector and he was rich. Right, So how
-
is he rich because he collected texts? And also it
-
says later on race is defrauded people. He actually collected
-
more than he should. Yeah, because that time knows CCTV
-
right ready, hard to catch people who are doing the
-
wrong thing.
-
So he did that.
-
And so he was a sinner, right he you know,
-
as what we read as well. So what was he doing?
-
He was seeking to see Jesus. Do you know that
-
a lot of people actually seeking Jesus. They're seeking hope,
-
they're seeking the Word of God. Maybe some of them
-
they're seeking and they don't even know they're seeking. But
-
there are a lot of people who are hungry and
-
they're seeking and so same thing you know here, you
-
know around us, many of our friends actually they are seeking,
-
they're hungry. But you know what, what's the problem with
-
zach Yas he was small? He was he was not
-
tall enough to see Jesus. And you know, so that's like,
-
you know something that there was not enough, you know,
-
he was too short. So the same thing with many
-
of the people around us. They're seeking Jesus, but something
-
is stopping them from reaching, right. Maybe it's their own circumstance.
-
Maybe he himself saw himself as small. Maybe he wasn't
-
that small, but you know, the Bible does say that,
-
you know, he was small, so then he but then
-
he tried away to see that he climbed a tree, right,
-
he didn't want to go up to Jesus. Maybe he's
-
not just the smaller he climbed the tree. Maybe he
-
was shy. Maybe he knew he was a tax collector,
-
he was ser he defrauded people, so that sin also
-
probably stopped him from coming close to Jesus. So I
-
want to say that many people around us who are
-
like that as well. Okay, uh, and so uh that's
-
why what what Jesus did? He saw him? He saw
-
him on a tree, and he hurried to him. He
-
rushed to him, right and says, zac kis, come down quickly, quickly,
-
come down, all right, that's the wrong way to look
-
for me. Come down. And what does he do? I must,
-
he says, I must stay at your house. I must
-
stay at your house. Do you know that's one of
-
the ways we do missions. We go somewhere, we stay there. Yeah,
-
we go there, we stay there. And that's all he did.
-
He went there, stayed there. I mean, the Bible didn't
-
say he said anything to him, yet, like all right,
-
he went and stayed there. He probably ate with him,
-
he talked to him, got to know him, all right,
-
let him share, you know, maybe he opened up his
-
himself to Jesus. And then finally, what you say? He says,
-
you know, Lord, I've done wrong, you know.
-
You know, you know.
-
First thing he says, God, you know, just because of
-
staying with him, He says, God, now I will give
-
half of my goods to the poor.
-
All right. It turned into an action. There was transformation.
-
And so then he after they said, you know, if
-
I've defrauded anyone, I will give them back fourfold. I
-
will give you back and then from there Jesus says,
-
Salvation has come to this house. Salvation has come to
-
this house, Repentance has happened, transformation has taken place, And
-
so Jesus did missions. Jesus did missions by coming to
-
stay at Zacchia's house. All right, Zacchius couldn't reach him.
-
He was too small, he was too short. The sin
-
was blocking him. So the same thing, you know with
-
many of our friends. Sin might be blocking them, something
-
might be blinding them. And so they they, you know, try,
-
they're trying many different ways to climb the tree, right,
-
the bow down to the three. They do different things.
-
They're seeking for truth and they don't know how to
-
find it. And so Jesus had to come to him.
-
And then they said, can I come in, go into
-
your house. He stepped out of his his area. I
-
don't know what he was supposed to do. Like him,
-
he was walking somewhere, he had the business to do, right,
-
but then he went to do this instead. He stopped everything,
-
say I'm going to ex Actress's house. So missions interrupts us. Right,
-
it's uncomfortable, but it is what Jesus did, and so why.
-
We do missions. Jesus did it. Jesus did it.
-
And when and then we say we follow him, right,
-
so let's follow Jesus, all right?
-
Uh, and uh it's.
-
Not too difficult, right because like like Jesus did, it's
-
like going to someone's house, staying with the person, being
-
with the person. And uh, you know, we are the
-
representatives of Jesus, you know, when we go to someone's
-
house where we go for missions, where we visit them,
-
when we stay with them, all right, we carry we
-
are like Jesus in the in their face and they
-
get to see Jesus in the flesh through our lives.
-
And sometimes we don't have to say too much, and
-
there'll suddenly say I will give half my poor, have
-
my you know, fortunate to the poor. Okay, okay, I
-
you know defrauded people will give them back fourfold and
-
salvation will come to that house.
-
Amen.
-
I wanted to show you this story, uh, you know,
-
to talk about how Jesus did missions and therefore and
-
that's why we do it as well.
-
Amen.
-
Hallelujah. Now, one thing I want to speak to us
-
here is no okay, I want to talk about going going, okay,
-
going to missions. I want to challenge all of us here.
-
You know, if we're all able bodied, all right, we
-
have no issues you know with walking and going right,
-
even if you're carrying babies, right, And that's what we
-
do here.
-
We do this, right, We bring our kids along.
-
You saw just now the XPG right and pasta Matt
-
and his whole family going. Actually, that's one of the
-
best things you can do with your children, all right.
-
I want to break the mindset, you know. And we've
-
been doing this already. We've been breaking mindsets, you know,
-
in ex church. We don't have to keep our kids
-
at home. We can bring them along, all right. We
-
bring them along, of course, you know, we can assess
-
the danger a little bit and say, okay, how much
-
should they do?
-
How much should I allow them to take part?
-
So you you it's okay, all right, you want to
-
be saved that way, but don't hold back. Don't hold
-
them back from taking part together with you, all right.
-
Parents don't and I don't say because I got kids,
-
I can't go, all right, that's a very easy reason. Okay.
-
Sometimes we use our kids are to defend to protect ourselves. Say, oh,
-
my kids are too you know, too busy. My kids,
-
you know, they cannot they will jump into the river,
-
you know, like they would lie even if they did
-
this fun line, right, All right.
-
Of course we need to be responsible as parents.
-
To watch but I'm telling you right, as a church,
-
we all can watch out for the kids.
-
Yeah.
-
Uh. Later, I want to share a little bit, you know,
-
about some experiences of missions that we do. Uh, you know,
-
even with family. Uh and uh you know. Yeah, just
-
different experiences that we do here with the children. Okay,
-
but now I just sort of point us to also
-
on Timothy too wonderful. All right, So on Timothy chapter two,
-
first wonderful, let's read this.
-
First of all, are we there?
-
Yeah, okay, so I'm reading for my own Bible, all right.
-
First of all, then I urge their supplications, prayers, intercess intercessions,
-
and thanksgiving be made for all people, for kings and
-
all who are in high positions, that we may lead
-
a peaceful and quiet life God lead and dignified in
-
every way. This is good and pleasing in the sight
-
of God, our Savior, who desires all people, all people
-
to be saved and to come to the knowledge of
-
the truth.
-
Amen.
-
So this is you see, God's desire for all to
-
be saved. All right, So this is one of the
-
other reasons why we do missions. It's God's desire. It's
-
God's desire. Tell your neighbor, this is God's desire. God's
-
desire is for all to be saved. Yeah, all is who.
-
You me?
-
Everyone, even your neighbor right in front of you. Can
-
you mention the neighbor? Can you have it on your mind?
-
Out the neighbor that's living across you, the neighbor that's
-
beside you. Yeah, can you mentione them? Can you just
-
have them in your mind for a moment. How about
-
your your family members, right, even the most difficult ones.
-
Yeah. God wants to save them as well. Amen. Kell.
-
It may it may not be you, but you know,
-
we can pray.
-
For them and maybe someone that they're in contact with
-
will be the one speaking to them and preaching to
-
them and bringing salvation to them.
-
Amen. So I want to focus a little bit on
-
this verse again.
-
You see the starting here, right, He says, what I
-
urge the supplications, prayers, intercessions and thanksgivings we made for all, okay,
-
including kings and high positions, right, that they may lead
-
a peaceful and quiet life. Godly and dignified in every way.
-
So it's talking about prayer.
-
Prayer. Prayer is powerful.
-
I just share just now about you know, praying and
-
God providing to be able to give so the same
-
thing for your neighbors, your family members. That are not easy,
-
all right, and sometimes you think, how are they going
-
to get saved?
-
How are they going to listen to the gospel? All right,
-
start with pray.
-
Let's pray, all right, let's let's include these things in
-
our prayer, all right. I know is even myself, you know,
-
we pray then always want to pray about the good day.
-
Thank you Lord for yesterday, Thank you loved for good
-
day today.
-
All right.
-
I have this pattern. I pray, I pray you know,
-
for a good day. I pray for the children. I
-
pray good day at school. All the work will be
-
a success, you know. Then we then you know, we're
-
trying to get into pray for I mean our organization,
-
the church.
-
All right. Then we pray for Malaysia.
-
We do pray for Malaysia as well, and then we
-
do pray for the peace of Jerusalem at the same time.
-
But yeah, sometimes the interrupt the the standard prayer that
-
we do and include you know, even the people that
-
God wants to save.
-
Yeah.
-
I mean, of course you cry and you think it's
-
impossible to reach out. You try and talk to the person,
-
it's always like a wall, right, and then you you
-
lose hope, right, and you and we stop believing, say
-
I can reach out, But.
-
That's not true.
-
That's not true, and and and and God still desires
-
for them all to be saved.
-
All right.
-
It's not our job to get them saved. But we
-
need to work with God, and we we pray. We pray, Amen,
-
start with prayer, and I believe you know, as we pray,
-
we will see doors open. We will see that it
-
will be made more easy to be able to reach
-
out to the people around us.
-
Amen. So everyone, okay?
-
Yeah, So first thing is what we do missions because
-
Jesus does it.
-
Jesus does it.
-
And so we follow our Lord and we do it together.
-
All right, This is what we do in next church. Second,
-
all right, God desires for all to be saved, yep.
-
And so that's why we want to serve God's desire.
-
We love, We love the Lord, right, a man, anyone
-
here loved the Lord?
-
Yeah?
-
Amen, that's why you're here in church. Yeah, and so
-
we we love God. We want to serve his desire.
-
And his desire is what in first three we see.
-
We see this and many other posts of the Bible.
-
All right, God wants all to be saved. He wants
-
to see the nations there in heaven.
-
Amen.
-
And so that's why we want to do the same thing.
-
We want to serve the Lord, our God. We love him, hallelujah.
-
So now I want to talk to us a little
-
bit about you know, what happens when we do missions.
-
What happens all right? So what happens when we get
-
involved with missions?
-
Okay?
-
First thing is, well, right, first thing is we are
-
obeying when we get involved with missions, whether it's pray,
-
just pray, just by praying for people around us, all right,
-
to be saved, Praying for people around us to be saved, right, neighbor, whatever,
-
you know, praying for the church plants, when we pray
-
for church plants, right, that's that's a cross culture that's
-
across the nations all right, across the sea. When we pray,
-
you know, whether we pray, whether we give. And that's
-
why I want to encourage all of us, you know,
-
set aside something. It doesn't have to be last large amounts.
-
But you know, whatever the spirit is challenging us to do,
-
we give as we give, and as we go and
-
as we go. You know, when you go for community outreach,
-
you know, for you when you go to c CEC
-
and reach the children there, you know from menma who
-
had to escape their country, right and they're there, they're
-
not getting an education proper there, and so when we're there,
-
we're helping. We're contributing to the education, all right. When
-
we go for local missions. Yeah, the orang Asli trips
-
that we do, I want to encourage. I want to
-
see that everyone in x here in Cyberjaya has at
-
least gone to one to orang Usi trip once. Can
-
we do that no matter how new you are, All right,
-
come talk to us. We definitely want to sign you up. Right,
-
it may not be immediately last, so don't be afraid.
-
It's not tomorrow you have to go. I'm not ready,
-
all right, scary line, I know, but there's preparation.
-
Don't worry. There's preparation.
-
There's preparation, just like we know it's like exam like that,
-
things get real, right, So so so definitely need to prepare.
-
Definitely need to prepare.
-
All right, But anyway, go back to this when we
-
do missions. When we take part in missions, we're actually
-
obeying God. Yeah, so what happens when you take part?
-
We are actually obeying God. Everyone say obey, obey, so
-
you know, you know, if we do that, we can
-
at least say I've obeyed God. I've obeyed God by going,
-
I've obeyed God by giving, I've obeyed God by praying
-
for someone, you know, for someone's salvation, for someone's salvation.
-
It's cross culture, all right, obedience. What's the next thing?
-
When we take part in missions, we pray? Oh? Sorry,
-
we prepare. We prepare and share are very good words. Yeah,
-
there's preparation. You need to prepare, right. If you're not
-
very good with preparation, this is why you need to
-
do the missions, then you will train.
-
Oh there's such thing as preparation in life.
-
Okay, And that's why we bring our kids, because the
-
kids now take part in this activity and go like,
-
oh why we have to go so much?
-
Meetings are Mammy, daddy, prepare?
-
Ah, you can't just walk into the orne there and
-
then speak basa.
-
If you don't know one word of it.
-
Hey, and it's not that scary line, not not like
-
you have to save like a thousand vocabulary right in
-
Basa and one goal. We have this cheat sheet you know, okay,
-
these are the Christian words that you use in Basa.
-
Ten keywordsuji tuhan right, allah baba right, and so there's
-
some words that you can use, okay. And so we
-
prepare you even for a short trip and h then
-
you you learn Basa, right, you learn whatever language are
-
that you you know wherever you're going. And you know
-
in Menma, I know you know sometimes we're going there
-
and we speak English all the way because we're teaching English, right,
-
licensed to speak English. Right, But why don't next time
-
you go to ce easy learn at least to create
-
in in Burmese. Ah? How how how translate the ming blaba?
-
We learn one a bit now now everybody say that
-
me ming blaba, right, ming laba? Any one from Manma
-
who knows exactly the word the greeting ming blabah is
-
the one. And I know, thank you it's Jess to
-
Timber day, Jes in my mind, Jes to him. But
-
day it sounds like Jesus, but jesuit timb day, you know,
-
go to the restaurant again today, I don't know what
-
it is.
-
Guys from Manma just just guesses.
-
Asking you're from En all right, then then they would
-
be so impressed because I find Myanma to be the
-
hardness language to learn.
-
So long, you know, kull jesuiting money so long.
-
Anyway, anyway, and you see the written Mayanama went, oh
-
man can be very confusing. But anyway, I took up
-
the challenge because I had to go to Mahanma once,
-
you know, and then like in a way like a
-
nightmare to be because like, oh man, that's the hardest language,
-
and I see it, I get, I get scattered away.
-
But uh then when I was I forced myself, let's
-
let me learn someone's remember it. And then it's etching
-
my mind now jesuiting buddy. Yeah, So that they I
-
went to the bicycle shop and get this guy to
-
fix and say from Mma, yeah yeah, jesuiting buddy. It's
-
like he's so amazed because I think nobody ever says it.
-
All right, so anyway, yeah, uh yeah, so prepare, we
-
need to prepare. We'll need to prepare.
-
Uh.
-
You know when we go for missions, right, I just
-
give you a picture when uh uh, Like, for example,
-
we go for or a slei together, we'll need to meet.
-
We need to just talk about what's going on, all right,
-
what's the plan? You know?
-
We need to plan the travel there, right, we need
-
to plan the finances there. How much we need to
-
contribute together to make sure we have enough, all right
-
to buy stuff.
-
And we want to go there and not just walk
-
in there. But you know, we buy some we prepare.
-
Uh.
-
We we buy some groceries, maybe some food, some gifts,
-
all right, and we have something like this. We we
-
we also we are also careful, right, We're not just
-
go there and then buy all candy candy, candy candy
-
to all the tune. It's not that we want to
-
be careful because we wanna we wanna add value. We
-
want to add value, and we don't want to destroy
-
the place where we go, all right, And so we
-
have something like for example, uh, we'll say, hey, guys,
-
one of the like rules that we have, Hey, guys,
-
don't simply give gifts to the kid by yourself. Everything
-
we do we do as a team. So you see,
-
we want to work together and unity as a team.
-
And so let's say someone suddenly he didn't mind you
-
want to buy like stationary and like want to be
-
like hero hero, you know, and like suddenly give up
-
gives like Santa Claus. We say, guys, don't do that.
-
Let's do it as a team, right, And so they
-
know it comes from the group, and so they won't
-
look at this or this guy and I said and
-
that guy.
-
Ah.
-
So these are some of the things that we prepare for,
-
and so we decide we want to give a gift.
-
We decide together and we kind of like look at
-
it and go like is this healthy to give? Or
-
if it's not, then then let's not give that, all right?
-
Uh and uh so, And then of course we communicate
-
with the with the leader over there and say is
-
this a need?
-
Can we contribute this way?
-
We don't just go in there walk and bring a
-
lot of the bag of rice, but they already have
-
lots of it stored there. And then now it's like
-
becomes like you know too much. So we see what
-
they need, we talk to them, we communicate, and then
-
we bring in what's needed. So I'm just trying to
-
paying you a picture, all right, or preparation that goes
-
into this of course, then you know, when we come
-
together we get to know each other bit more as well.
-
Within the team, right, everybody needs to prepare testimony normally,
-
just prepare even it it was simple, just prepared because
-
you might be called on to share your testimony at
-
any time. So all these things right, it's like, oh,
-
I've never prepared testimony for but yeah, you should la
-
by now, all right. So with that, as you prepare
-
testimonies while you're doing missions, then now when you come
-
back to you know, your usual world, you also have
-
a testimony already that you're ready to share with anyone.
-
So missions prepares you, right, you prepare a mission, my
-
mission prepare you too to be ready to evangelize to
-
many more people.
-
Amen.
-
So of first, sometimes when we go lesson to another
-
country and then another language, we need to prepare in
-
that language a bit non okay, But thenk go for
-
trying slats.
-
All right in menmo.
-
Then you know Pastor Samuel is the he's very good
-
in translation in English and in uh you know his
-
own language, and so uh, and then we hear real
-
stories you know, from from them of what's really going on,
-
and we can pray more specifically, you know, about the
-
challenge that they face.
-
Okay, So preparation.
-
The other thing I wanted to say is we actually
-
eat together a lot eat together. I remember, you know,
-
we went to Orsi trip once with a Korean family.
-
Man I ate some real authentic Korean food at that time.
-
Thank God for for the experience.
-
Okay.
-
Uh And when we went out TOI, she cooked Korean food.
-
Love for the Orsi. She brought the ridiculous of po
-
non halal. But yeah, can can can can eat porte.
-
Yeah.
-
So anyway, Uh, the rosy all the Korean food so nice,
-
so nice. Yeah, anyway, Uh you know, so we cook,
-
we cook for the whole church there, you know, that's
-
what they do there. And so we eat together. It's
-
it's it's enjoyable in that sense. Uh. So, So there's
-
preparation and then we share it. That's what I'm saying.
-
We share, We learn to share. And you know, when
-
the kids see all these things, they see what's going on,
-
and they see you know, us sharing and this community
-
and things like that that's going on. Uh, it's such
-
a value add on, even for children. Yeah, hallelujah. Amen.
-
Then next uh, we definitely pray. Right we meet together,
-
we definitely pray. We pray a lot, right more, We
-
pray a lot more than we normally do. When you
-
go for missions, you'll pray a lot more. Yeah, you
-
want your prayer life to up join the missions and
-
pray more because you will need to because it's spiritual.
-
Yeah.
-
Uh and uh and and me knows that this is
-
significant and that's why they will mess with those who
-
want to go for missions. And but then we cover
-
with prayer, no problem. The blood of Jesus covers amen.
-
So uh, prayer. And you know when we go, we
-
pray for people, pray for people. And you will see
-
a lot of powerful uh miracles when you go for missions.
-
Yeah.
-
Uh, you will see healing take place. Yeah, like Andrew
-
was mentioning, you know about Pasta Palin, Yeah, you will.
-
You will see breakthrough tacond place. I remember Isaiah's story, Yeah,
-
teacher Isaiah. Yeah, he said, you know he got dreams right,
-
and then he heard the story there from the pastors
-
over there. But their names again that's the FSA Pacellina. Yeah,
-
and so uh, you will see, you will experience miracles.
-
You want to know how God real is? You join, right,
-
don't worry if you're very newer, we won't give you
-
a big, big roller. Ah, we'll see what your skill
-
set is. You can cook, okay, cook, just cook, just cook.
-
You can drive, just drive, just drive, and at least
-
smile and say hello to the children. All right, well,
-
sly you can appreciate today. But but but it's only
-
everybody sicking, the only one you can appreach. Ah, you're
-
the only one left us. So so you also be ready,
-
be like, that's what no one did we preach Basay,
-
Yeah yeah, English.
-
Next one.
-
Yeah. So but but you know, goa prepare, you go prepare,
-
and you will see how real God is and you
-
will see miracles even in your own life. All right,
-
you want to see miracles church, Yeah, let's do this.
-
God is real, So prayer and power you will see that.
-
And then finally, what's my final point. Transform Transformation will
-
take place. You know, we will be transformed. First of all,
-
we will be transformed. We will see transformation. You know,
-
we may not see it. We may not see it.
-
You know, we go and then we leave. Ready, we
-
may not hear or see anything or the transformation, but
-
transformation will take place. You know, many things around us
-
are a product of missions, hospitals, schools that started. Yeah,
-
it's still happening today and it can still happen today.
-
So let's be the missionary, even if it's a short trip. Right.
-
I know you guys want to build toilet, Paul. Yeah,
-
now they got toilet, church and toilet. Yeah.
-
Is it completed now you don't know? Yeah it is?
-
Yeah, So transformer transform right from north no church building
-
to now there is and we can do more, you know,
-
for the Lord. And so we want to see transformation
-
taking place in our nation, all right, in other nations,
-
let's take part. Let's take part and see transformation take place.
-
Amen.
-
Not by our own strength, not by our own strength.
-
It's all by God's grace and his mercy and his power,
-
and then we can give glory to him.
-
Amen. Amen.
-
All right, I'm about to come towards a close already
-
I just want to say, finally, is this how do
-
we do missions?
-
How do we do this in church? Right now? Church?
-
I think Dr ju did you already mention something about this?
-
So?
-
Yeah, how we do it?
-
Right?
-
First?
-
As I mentioned already, I'm kind of repeating myself. We pray,
-
let's pray, all right, let's pray together. You know, when
-
we pray together in the morning before worship starts, we're
-
praying for the different church places, right, the local plants,
-
the global plants. That's that's the one of the ways
-
we do missions in Acts is to plant churches.
-
Yeah.
-
So if you you're part of this, you're part of
-
a missions team already just being part of this all right.
-
Of course, if you serve, then you you get deeper
-
into it, all right. And if you ever travel overseas,
-
you know it will be awesome. You know, if you
-
want to think of which church plant I want to
-
go when I travel, make it a dual thing, you know,
-
fun and faith. All right, Go to Osaka and go
-
to go and see mister Benji buster Benji. Now is
-
buster Benji Benji? Someone says, BBJ buster Benji? All right anyway,
-
and a pastor Michelle, all right, go visit them. Let
-
us know and we can call them say you know,
-
someone's coming all right where else? Curtis in Germany haven't
-
started it, but you know, all right, they're about to
-
start Acts German as well. But Cassie yeah, yeah, yeah,
-
Indonesia and uh Karawachi extcha Karata Machudi yeah, okay, right,
-
Chuni Botswana Camaroni right, the one, Yeah, that one is expensive,
-
but yeah, why not? Right, go go to Africa, now,
-
God k Whatswana, Whatswana? Kenya first, Kenya first? Okay, your first, Wow,
-
we have a Yeah, we got family there Kenya.
-
And then go to Botswana. Yeah why not? Yeah? Okay.
-
So that's the first thing we do, right, we pray.
-
Let's let's let's an encourage church. Let's continue to pray,
-
including in your prayer. Uh, join our prayer meetings. Right,
-
let's pray. Let's pray because you know when we pray, right,
-
it challenges us as well. Right, and uh, we're connecting
-
with God. We're communicating with God about his heart. Uh.
-
And the second thing is I want encourage you.
-
I've said already give give towards missions and and and
-
so it's coming right next Sunda, next Saturday. It's Missions Conference.
-
If you haven't signed up, I can't still can right today?
-
How to sign up?
-
If you haven't signed signed up, today is the last
-
day to sign up for Missions Conference. I heard from
-
the office that you can scan and sign up. If
-
you haven't signed up, you can still do it. I
-
heard from the office that they've prepared lunch for everyone.
-
It's free.
-
This conference is free, no need to pay a single
-
send for it. But the church is kind of sponsoring
-
covering this, all right, and so there's a lunch provided
-
for the conference except for children eleven and below. A right,
-
I don't know shops nearby, GREBMA or whatever. Okay, all right,
-
but yeah, do sign up and be part of the giving.
-
I think the giving you can do in the next
-
few weeks doesn't have to be just next week, but
-
of course you know it'll be nice to do to
-
do that next week, but if not, you can do
-
it in the following weeks as well, as long as
-
you just indicate in your in your envelope.
-
Okay, give and then go go right.
-
I want to challenge all of us here right to
-
go for at least one of it. Okay, you you
-
ask a lot, now you know you ask a lot
-
to lead you how many times you want to go
-
all that? I don't want to say at least once
-
or twice whatever? You decide that, all right, go for
-
the community outreaches. All right, We are signed by homes, right,
-
and if you're not part of homes there, please do
-
join the homes. Please do join the homes because that's
-
where we really do stuff together, all right. If you're
-
not part of homes, all you do is you're coming
-
to the Sunday, right, and you're not really connected with
-
the life of the church.
-
All right. I want to encourage you to do that.
-
Although, yeah, it might be uncomfortable, it might be a
-
change you know, of your schedules or whatever it is,
-
because I don't know what you have planned, you know,
-
during the weekdays at night. But it's actually healthy, it's
-
healthy to join homes. And then don't worry. We won't
-
bug you too much. We bug you a little bit
-
because you will join a WhatsApp group maybe and we'll
-
say there's homes and it's still your.
-
Choice whether you want to join or not.
-
But I hope you do join, all right, but join
-
join because it's healthy for you and we want to see.
-
All of you being healthy in your walk with God.
-
All right.
-
When you join the homes. What happens are at homes? Firstly,
-
you eat, ah, it's not too difficult, right, eat, okay,
-
And the more people join homes, the better the food, right,
-
because that's that's I will testify for our homes.
-
Right.
-
We got food from India, we got food from Philippines, right,
-
and all kinds of all right, uh, and we've got
-
cording food so sometimes from some Malaysians, okay, Japanese?
-
All right. So first thing you do in homes is eat.
-
How difficult can that be? Right?
-
H And if you don't bring anything, it's okay. You
-
don't bring anything's okay, you eat free, it's okay, okay, right,
-
But by the time you feel like I want to
-
bring something, can you can?
-
You can?
-
Right, bring us homes leeder first because maybe what you
-
bring not suitable. Yeah, you know, no, you know really
-
you know, if everybody decides to bring jelly, right, five family,
-
bring jelly, that's all you have, jelly.
-
Dinner of jelly, right, Okay.
-
If everybody decides to bring cops, no meat, no vegetables,
-
so some planning, okay, so maybe you know for you
-
it's like, hey, all you need to bring is uh
-
uh some straws because you need to drink that thing
-
or the bowl today go soup?
-
Yeah? All right? So what was I so signed for homes?
-
Because that's the life of the church, all right, and
-
it's healthy, it's healthier, all right. Then from there all right, uh,
-
you know, we assign homes to be part of our
-
community outreaches, okay, uh, and uh we will ask you
-
la you know, and of course if you can enjoy
-
your join, all right, it's good for us to be
-
able to join. Then you will see what goes on.
-
And uh, we challenge ourselves, all right. And it's not
-
always that, it's not always. It's not like every week.
-
It's like once in how many times have you gone?
-
Those who will go once a quarter you actually go
-
into c CEC, which is the MEANMA school that's in
-
KL right, something in KL Yeah, so I see, all right.
-
So that's one.
-
And then of course there's the orsi trips all right
-
that we want to encourage different ones to sign up
-
as well. And if you've not gone, all right to
-
any Ornarcy trip on to encourage you, you know, as
-
a homes, maybe plan something, uh and find the right date,
-
talk to you know us, talk to the missions board,
-
and then we will make it happen.
-
All right.
-
It's fun, it's fun, right uh. And uh, if of
-
course there's any opportunity. As a lot leads you, as
-
a lot provides. You know you want to go to
-
overseas trips, please do so as well. So these are
-
some ways that we can take part in missions.
-
All right, We hope you've been.
-
