You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
The topic is that all may come on talk to me,
-
that all may So the subtopic of it is that
-
you are moving to your second chapter. What is the
-
second topic? Subtopic? Come and turn to somebody and say
-
you are moving to your second chapter. I see somebody
-
not somebody not even moving? So can we turn? Can
-
we move? Move to the other person and say you
-
are moving to the second chapter. You're moving to the
-
You know, first chapter may not be good. Your first
-
chapter that has finished just yesterday may not be good.
-
But let me tell you your second chapter is going to
-
be good. Your first chapter may have had pain, but
-
your second chapter is going to have gain. Your first
-
chapter may full of sorrow, but your second chapter is
-
going to be a joy. Your first chapter may be
-
with ashes, but your second chapter will be with the
-
joy of gladness. Yeah, you're missing a few plays where
-
you can say amen.
-
Yeah.
-
Yeah, so your first chapter may not be healthy, but
-
let me tell you your second chapter is going to
-
be full of health.
-
Come on, guys, take it to yours.
-
Yeah, your first chapter may have full of struggle, but
-
your second chapter will be full of favor.
-
You're getting warm up. I know, I know, it's okay.
-
Your first chapter may be full of struggle, but your
-
second chapter will be with ease.
-
Yeah.
-
So there is always a first chapter and there is
-
always a second chapter. So I just came back from
-
yesterday in a Christian leadership conference. Came late and we
-
were from twenty five different countries and we were about
-
sixty three participants. All of them are one of the
-
top leaders in the world. When I say top leaders,
-
they are literally top leaders both in the world as
-
well as in the ministry, the judge of the Highest Court,
-
some senators, and few countries. So we all were Christians
-
and it's a Christian leadership. One thing that one of
-
the one of the sessions is that we speak about,
-
you know, how God touched us. Two common things were
-
very very common. Two things were common. Number one, they
-
were not touched by ministry. They were not touched by church.
-
They were touched by the love of God through people.
-
Makes sense to you.
-
They were never touched when somebody said, oh I sat
-
in the in the in the in the church, I preached.
-
No.
-
No, somebody you know, like why he came to the churches,
-
that Sunday school teacher, that friend of mine. You know,
-
even in guitar story, this Geita has given food to
-
her to him and that broke the eyes for for
-
that man that he became.
-
He's attending church.
-
So it is not the church in the church that
-
brings people to the church. It's the church in the
-
people brings people to the church. Makes sense to you.
-
It's not the church in the church brings people. It's
-
the church in the people brings people to the church.
-
The first question is are you the church?
-
You know? Church? H? You are H? Yeah, H you
-
are H. That between the H and H is you
-
are is that?
-
Is that making sense sense to you? That's the spelling
-
of church, right, H you are.
-
H.
-
So you are the church.
-
And and if the church is not full, don't blame Satan,
-
who is in between. So we are responsible for the church.
-
So that all may know that you are moving from
-
the first chapter to the second chapter, like I'm going
-
to spend some time in establishing the history of this book,
-
and when we are going to the next You know,
-
Ruth is if I remember correctly, I mean, correct me
-
someone if I'm wrong. It is the only book in
-
the Bible which is mentioned after a gentile name. I
-
don't think other names are. I haven't done my work,
-
but I just felt all other names were where the
-
Hebrew name or all other names were from the Israelite,
-
you know, like Jewish. But only name that is not
-
Jewish a gentile name is Ruth. I mean, correct me
-
if I'm wrong. Okay, it's okay. We are learning together.
-
So something that is very very important. I like, I mean,
-
as I mentioned to you, my throat is not good.
-
My power slide PowerPoint is much more not so good.
-
So you guys needed to help me out.
-
Here.
-
My second daughter, aDNA Rasa, who is wearing the mass,
-
promise to make the slide.
-
She did it. Thank you, Rasa. So that's okay.
-
So can you can somebody read the last verse in
-
the Book of Kings, not the Kings. Judges. Yeah, Judges,
-
that is the book before Ruth. Please read the Book
-
of Judges, the last verse, the last verse of the Judges.
-
Help me out, and someone also please take the book
-
after Ruth will be one. Samuel helped me to read
-
the first two words, and someone also read for me.
-
If you don't read, I will point out and you
-
will stand up on the chat to read. Okay, so
-
also read the last five verse of the Book of Ruths.
-
So first let's go the last verse of the Book
-
of Judges. There was no king in Israel, and everyone
-
did what was right on their own ice. Right there
-
was I mean, that's what a way to finish the Bible.
-
There is no king in Israel and everyone did what
-
was right in their own ice.
-
You know, like that is the.
-
Period where this this this book is coming in. When
-
you do not have a king, you will do what
-
is in your heart. One thing, something that is something
-
which is very important for us to understand is when
-
there is no standard, what you do is the standard.
-
Is that is that?
-
Okay, when there is no standard, what you do is
-
the standard. When you don't stand next to somebody who
-
is the average height of a Malaysian, even someone as
-
short as okay, mind don't need to mention, can be
-
the highest, can be taller.
-
That's that's that makes sense. So when there is.
-
No king, everyone did what was right in their eyes.
-
I mean, I feel I am tall enough, but standing
-
next to Jeff I may feel like and.
-
Am I Alan?
-
Yeah, I'm so I forgot you next. You know, you
-
may feel that you are smart till you stand next
-
to me. Come, that's okay, that's okay telling the truth
-
in the church. So everyone did what was right in
-
their eyes. That's that's very that's a very sad state
-
to be. You know, what makes what makes me to
-
have hope in you is that you are here and
-
you have a king. And because you have a king,
-
your heart will be set right.
-
Is that okay with you? It's okay. You're here because
-
you know, for you, the.
-
King is Jesus. For you, the beginning is Jesus. That's
-
on a Sunday morning. For you, your tithe is the King,
-
that's Jesus. So because you have a king in you,
-
you have the Kingdom of God you and that's that's
-
that's what I just picking up from what.
-
Sister Gita was saying.
-
You know, like she started tithing and that she had
-
full not because she works harder. Because the Kingdom of
-
God will be given Siki for us, the Kingdom of God,
-
and it will be taken from you. What all these
-
things shall be added unto you till then Geita was
-
the king. Sorry, Queen Geita was there king to her salary.
-
So her salary may not be enough. But the minute
-
Geita gives her kingdom to the King of kings and
-
the Lord of lords, there is no lack in the
-
in the in the Kingdom of God, and all these
-
things shall be added on to you.
-
It is it okay with you?
-
So all, So every one date what was right in
-
their own eyes. So can I take more than a wife? Yeah,
-
because it is right in their own eyes. Can I
-
rob Yeah, they can't do it because it was right
-
in their own eyes. Can I judge people wrongly? Yeah,
-
because there is no judge in that world. And that
-
is the time where the Book of Ruth is written,
-
and that is the time that this story is coming in.
-
Are tell me, is this good time to be born?
-
I mean war and the rumors of war?
-
Is that okay?
-
Earthquakes and the flats and can you believe like what
-
somebody goes for a shopping and swallowed by the land.
-
It's not a good time. But this is a time
-
where Ruth is born. And I pray and I hope
-
and I ask God that each one of us will
-
be the Ruths in this country.
-
Is that?
-
Don't blame Satan. Please, poor guy, I mean, yeah, you
-
blame for everything. I go out of out of the
-
house in the try. I curse you, Satan, seriously. Let
-
him be alone. Let him be alone. Leave him alone.
-
He could not even come into the presence of God
-
without the permission. You and I can go to the
-
King of King and sit next to him because we
-
are in Christ. So everyone did, you can go to
-
the next life. Everyone did what was right in their
-
own eyes.
-
Is that right? Is that right?
-
And how does the Book of Samuel comes in? Can
-
somebody read the Book of Samuel the first.
-
Three or four vers Now we do Bible reading. A gentleman, please,
-
there was a certain man of the who.
-
Okay, and he this guy did not have a child.
-
I'm just reading connecting. And somebody read the last few
-
us five verses of of the Book of Ruth again, yeah,
-
last five.
-
Vers Ruth Ruth chapter four verses eighteen to oh no
-
versus Yeah, okay. Now, these are the generations of Paris.
-
Herest fathered Hesron Hesron father ram Ram father Amin a
-
dab Amin a dab fathered national national fathered salmon salmon
-
father boas BoA's father Obed, Obbed father Jesse and Jesse
-
Father David.
-
You don't need to worry even if it is wrong verse.
-
Preachers can manage it, that's okay. So the one of
-
the things that you may want you to know is
-
the last verse of Book of David.
-
Book of Rue ends with David, you know the heart
-
the beloved of God.
-
The previous chapter ended everyone does anything their heart found
-
correct and the last chapter Versus of Ruth finishes with
-
somebody who is after God's born heart.
-
Beautiful, isn't there?
-
It's a place where where where the connection between judges,
-
where they do anything and everything according to their heart
-
to the beloved of God is being formed. And in
-
the Book of Samuel you will see interesting interesting chapter.
-
There is a woman and this woman is not having
-
a child, and there is to make things worse. What
-
will you say the wife the one who troubles her.
-
The other wife of Elcanna.
-
So the other wife of Elkanna is is making fun
-
of her because she didn't have child. Right, it's very
-
depressing chapter to start with. How do you start with?
-
Or somebody is fighting who asked them to marry to
-
that's their problem, right? So anyway, so the most interesting
-
thing that you will see in the Book of Ruth.
-
It's connection between the judges where everyone did what was
-
right according to their own eyes. And then it comes
-
to the chapter of Samuel. Interesting because this is the
-
guy who is going to anoint the man after God's
-
own heart.
-
It's God's own heart. Is that is that okay with you?
-
You may want you to go to the Bible and
-
take the first few verses of Book of Ruth. Right,
-
Paul read for me Book of Ruth the first five
-
chapter verse.
-
Yeah.
-
Book of Ruth chapter one, verse one. Now it came
-
to pass in the days when judges ruled that there
-
was that there was a femine in the land, and
-
a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah went to dwell in
-
the country of Moab. He had his wife and his
-
two sons Verse two. The name of the man was Elimelech,
-
the name of his wife was Naomi. And then the
-
aims of his two sons were Marlon and Chillon Efratus
-
of Bethlehem Judah, and they went to the country of
-
Moab and remained there Verse three. Then Elimelech, Naomi's husband died,
-
and she was left with and her two sons.
-
Amazing voice, Paul, God bless you something.
-
The reason that I started with this message is the
-
first verse of Book of Ruth. I mean the Book
-
of Ruth start in the days when the judges ruled.
-
That means everyone did whatever they want heart want right
-
in the days, a severe famine came upon the land.
-
So a man from Bethlehem in Judah left his home
-
and went to live in the country of Moab, taking
-
his wife and two sons with him. I just wanted
-
to end. So is this possible famine is because of
-
the judges, because everyone did what was right in their
-
own eyes, and that could have caused the famine.
-
Is it okay?
-
When the king rules, he rules for the people. When
-
you judge yourself, we rule for ourselves. So there is
-
a famine. And when there was a famine, the judges ruled,
-
a severe famine came upon them. So a man from
-
the house of God, that's the Bethlehem, right, Bethlehem is
-
house of God. That's the meaning of Bethlehem, the house
-
of God in Judah left the house and when to
-
live in the country of Mab. You, if you remember,
-
Mob is not a very good country. Backstory lot, the
-
son I mean the brother of Abraham, the nephew of Abraham,
-
had conceived Moab through his own daughters. Okay, that's the
-
decent way I can tell in church correct Lort conceived
-
through his own daughters. More and Bible whenever talks about
-
merv is always Christ in the sense like they should
-
not come into the temple for ten generations.
-
That's that's how bad it is.
-
So the house the man you know, interesting, the name
-
Elkana means hell is God, God is my king.
-
So this guy is leaving.
-
The house of God and goes into the world, and
-
there was a problem there. Sometimes we think, hey, I
-
am going to go into the world. Let me not
-
come to the church on Sunday morning, let me sleep
-
for a while.
-
Uhhah. That's the first step that the enemy is taking hold.
-
So in those days, severe Famen Cape saw a man
-
from Bethlehem and Judah left his home and went to
-
live in the country of Moya, taking his wife and
-
two sons with him.
-
Sister next life. What caught me why.
-
I started reading this book and why I thought I
-
will share the word with you is if if any
-
of you are good in English, you mean the easiest
-
way to put is. The man's name was Elimelak, his
-
wife Naomi. His two sons were Mahon and Killer. But
-
I think the version is very very interesting. The man's
-
name was Elimelach. And which version is this, sister, King jamession?
-
Is it?
-
Sorry? Okay? Can you just go to King James version please?
-
So it takes the name of the man is Elimelac,
-
and his wife name is Naomi, and the name of
-
his sons, it will be like the name of the
-
sons will be malone and quillion. So purposely the word
-
name is mentioned again and again the name, the name,
-
the name correct.
-
So that is how it will be. Is that is
-
that right?
-
King James version will go like this. The man's name
-
was Elimelak, and his wife was Naomi. The two sons
-
they were next line, next next verse. Please so the
-
Elimena's name, so that the word name made a lot
-
of sense.
-
Why is this name?
-
Why is it it should be in the previous other books? Right,
-
the word of the God came to Isaiah, the word
-
of the Lord came to Jeremiah. It will never say
-
the name of the man is the name of all that?
-
And if you see the ending verse also talks about
-
the names of those kings. And you will see in
-
the last I mean when you read in the first
-
chapter of Naomi Naomi, I mean again, there are a
-
few things that you will you will read, Okay, I'm
-
going to give you the story where Elimelac goes I
-
mean Naomi. Elimela goes out of Israel with Naomi, his wife,
-
that he has two sons. These two sons will marry
-
two women, Oprah and Ruth. And something happens where Elimelak
-
dies and the two sons also dies, living through trinity
-
of women Naomi, Ruth, and Oprah, and nothing is there.
-
So Ruth I mean Naomi will decide, I am going
-
back to Israel Jerusalem, and now one lady will say.
-
Oprah will say, okay, I'm going back home, but Ruth
-
will cleave because she wanted to follow Naomi.
-
This is the backstory, is it okay?
-
And when she comes back, people will say, oh, Naomi.
-
The word the name meaning Naomi means pleasantness. She will say,
-
don't call me pleasant, I am bitter. So she will
-
call instead of Naomi, call me as bitter. Okay, that's
-
that's the worst. So this is the story. Many people
-
will give many interpretations. That means the Israel I mean
-
Naomi is is is God's I mean God's wife, which
-
is Israel she leaves or no, when she leaves the
-
Kingdom of God, that means elimelak die when the king dies.
-
The sons is the Israel is divided into two.
-
That means Judah and Israel, and both of them die
-
leaving the Gentile Church to come. So that is another
-
way of symbolism. That is how Bible was talking about.
-
Right. So the Ruth the.
-
Gentile I mean they went into the Gentile They call
-
Ruth as the Gentile Church and Naomi as the Jewish Church.
-
When when she returns back, she always will bring a
-
blessing along with the Ruth. So that is another side
-
of the story. Now the most important thing that we
-
need to understand is this is not a good first chapter.
-
They leave the country. They was a femine.
-
They was a death of two sons, and now they
-
are coming back. That is what some of our life
-
might be like this. Everything seems to be not so good.
-
They may be a famine famine in the joy in
-
your heart. They may be a famine famine of not
-
having enough in your finances. They may be a femine
-
that you do not have good health. There may be
-
something that has been missing in your heart.
-
Is it is it okay? So far, so good?
-
They may be some of us will be like Naomi,
-
we don't want to even call ourself as pleasant. When
-
you look at yourself in the mirror, you may feel
-
I failed. I should have studied better, I should have
-
worked hard, I should have taken you know, like there
-
is a time where you may wanted to blame yourself.
-
Some of us may not be good because we may
-
have lost our children, some of the children when we
-
say children, something that you have done. Your business may
-
have collapsed, your houses may have been taken, your marriage
-
would have been broken, your boyfriend or girlfriend would have lost.
-
Something has been died and you have no other choice.
-
And this sometimes, you know, like sometimes God allows things.
-
He doesn't do things.
-
God allows things in your life because you want to
-
make sure for you to know who is your king,
-
you need to know who is your king.
-
You need to know who is your anchor.
-
Now Naomi knows it's not the Moyab country which is
-
going to be the anchor, but she for her to
-
come back to Israel? Is the anchor? Interesting enough? She
-
did not come back alone. I wanted to ask you.
-
I wanted to ask you.
-
Why would roots? Why would Ruth wanted to come with Naomi?
-
Naomi lost husband, two sons, no money?
-
Is that right? Or not? Nothing? They what talk to me? Guys?
-
I need a break for my throat?
-
What could have attracted the Ruth to follow Naomi? Why
-
would Ruth follow Naomi? For Ruth maybe good? She may
-
not have a good parent. Maybe not have a good
-
So why would Ruth followed Naomi?
-
Not a good parent?
-
I mean, uh, the Jewish the Jewish history says, uh,
-
Ruth and are sisters and they were the que I
-
mean they were the princesses of that country.
-
But could be possible? That could be possible? They did
-
not I have a good parent.
-
What could be other reason that Ruth, the Moabite woman
-
to follow Naomi? She tasted God? How and if that
-
God was true? How could my husband died? My father
-
in law died?
-
Nothing? Hope?
-
Why would want Ruth wanted to follow Naomi? What could
-
be the possible causes?
-
Luthovia not in the house.
-
No, no, Usually I will say yes to you, but
-
not today. No, no, I mean I agree to the
-
call destiny all that, but when you have lost the husband,
-
when the lost the father in law, everything is lost.
-
I don't think we will have this destiny tying moment. Aha,
-
moment won't be there. Makes sense to you?
-
What would have attracted Ruth to follow Naomi to the
-
people of Israel, Yes, of course there could be.
-
What could have attracted amazing.
-
I don't think anything else, but naomis something in Naomi
-
is so attractive that Ruth, in spite of not having
-
a house, not having a husband, not having even money
-
or riches, not having a hope that I can get married,
-
not even Israelite, not even anything that is every single
-
possible disadvantage that rule might suffer. But she still followed
-
Naomi because deep down in her heart, she knows something
-
is different about this woman. This woman has something that
-
attracts me. In spite of all my brokenness, she is
-
following him.
-
Can you go to the next.
-
Light place, Ruth? The first chapter had the loss of
-
the husband. Yes, correct, Ruth, the first chapter has a
-
disadvantage of being a foreigner. As much as we love Malaysia,
-
we are blessed with Malaysia, we have been so so,
-
I mean, is there all their foreigners here? Do we
-
feel that there is a slight disadvantage not being a
-
Malaysia Yeah, yes, let's be But Malaysia is so welcome
-
and many of us are having.
-
Or legally coming. So that's.
-
Is there a vulnerability of being a foreigner? Have you
-
ever felt being vulnerable?
-
Yeah?
-
So in spite of social stigmas, uncertain future, leaving the homegown,
-
potential cultural and religious exclusion, no immediate support, limited rights.
-
Do you know, like Mobides are not even regarded as
-
human beings when they come to Israel. They said, don't
-
even allow them to come into the temple, don't they
-
are like outcasts.
-
Any other people can, but not the Moabiites.
-
Because they attacked Israel when they are in the vulnerable situation.
-
That is the anger of Israelites.
-
But here this Moabiite woman was willing to come because
-
there is something in Naomi. Hey, I don't know whether
-
it is God, but there's something in Naomi.
-
I just wanted to ask, how does ruth in our life?
-
Yes, when my colleagues see me, do they see the kindness?
-
Something about Balaji is different, Something about Jacqueline is different.
-
Something about Rudine is different. Yes, I am. I may
-
be an immigrant, I may be weak, I may be vulnerable,
-
I may be not so good. What is it that
-
makes what is it that makes me to follow him?
-
Why should I follow Alan? Why?
-
Something different about Alan? You know the the Moabites are
-
attracted to the God of Israel because the people of
-
Israel showed kindness.
-
Is it okay with you?
-
How will others know that Jesus is the Lord? Is
-
the kindness in you? Something in us has to be
-
so very different. You know that kindness is what is
-
the book of when you go to when you go
-
to the book of Ruth, right the kindness? Okay? So
-
the name we will see here. The name Boss means strength.
-
Keep this in mind. We are doing Bible study today.
-
The name Boas means strength. Naomi means pleasant delights. But
-
she will call herself us Mara. Then we are talking
-
about Elimelach, my god is king. Quillon means completion, Malone
-
means sickness, Ruth means friendship. I will come to this.
-
I will.
-
There is a meaning the reason that I have put in.
-
Can you go to the next like, please, okay, So
-
when you wanted others to know Kay and or w first,
-
they will know God through the kindness and compassion that
-
we can show. There is something in Naomi and interesting
-
the Book of Ruth. If you go to the second
-
chapter right, go to the second chapter. It's only fourth chapter.
-
You know, Ruth will say, Mom, I don't want to
-
be at home. I will go and I will work
-
in some field. And you know where that field is?
-
That field is something we can add. No, no, it's okay,
-
we can all no, no, okay, So we are talking
-
about normal kindness and compassion. Where does she work? Where
-
does Ruth work?
-
Which? Which field is she working? Verses? How did that happen?
-
You know there is no acts in the Kingdom of God.
-
Why she went to the king into biases feel is
-
because I feel like this.
-
I feel like this, you know, like I.
-
Maybe maybe Ruth was going to someone else's feel There
-
may be some wind that had turned her to the
-
to the to the biases.
-
Has it happened in your life and in my life?
-
I wanted to study only this course, but I was
-
led to do this course. I was wanting to marry
-
this person. I got married to this woman. All the
-
married men say leaders in the church, please.
-
Doctor Jill is not around. You didn't say amen.
-
You know, like I feel so happy that I'm married
-
to Lyttle, I need to say this, okay there. I
-
mean if I have had my own plan, probably I
-
would have been messed up more than now. So the
-
most important thing that we may needed to understand. Hey,
-
many of us, I know I study physiotherapy, not because
-
I wanted to study physiotherapy. Before I studied physiotherapy, I
-
studied BA strategic studies, I studied pharmacy, I studied accountancy,
-
and finally landed out to be physiotropy. You know what,
-
I landed up in the field of boyers because God
-
has a plan for you. Sometimes you may think, I
-
don't know what I am doing. I don't know why
-
I am doing this job. I don't know why I
-
am in this country. I don't know why I am
-
born to this mother and to this father. I don't
-
know why am I a friend to this person. Have
-
you ever felt sometimes all your friends say, give you
-
only sobbing stories, sorrowful story. I mean, someone is attracted
-
to something which is not so nice. So the reason
-
that God you are in that place. And as long
-
as you have made God as your king is because
-
God has a plan for you, the plan of blessing.
-
And that not, of course, and that plan cannot have happened.
-
If you do not follow God.
-
Do you remember when they throw out Jonah from the
-
sea right, imagine if that is not an obesity will
-
if it is a thin whale, Jonah would have been crushed.
-
Men, Is that is that okay with you?
-
That that whale had a big tumy where Jonah can
-
sit comfortably.
-
It's a plan of God.
-
The very height, weight, color, everything that you have been
-
made is in the eyes of God. So Ruth did
-
not go to any other field, but she went to
-
whose feel Boya ses feel, and Boya ses feel. She
-
was working, and that that particular day, boys comes all
-
other day he didn't come. That particular day he comes
-
and he is asking, hey, I can see this different woman.
-
This woman is not a Israelite? Who is this woman?
-
And the servant? Bible never gives the name of I
-
mean name to that servant. I believe that servant might
-
be the Holy Spirit. Like in the book of Bible.
-
Whenever the word nameless people they call it as the
-
holy Spirit. The servant says, hey, I know this woman.
-
This woman is so good. She always works, She does
-
not take rest. She is working so hard.
-
Is that right? Is that right? P Which way is that?
-
I don't know. That's why I'm asking.
-
So the Ruth is so hard working that the servant
-
takes notice. I something is special about Noah. He may
-
be a foreigner, but he has a very very good heart.
-
He is breaking the mixture, sorry, making the mixture.
-
He is helping in doing this work. I know why.
-
Paul may be a foreigner, but he is serving. I
-
know Elien, why is she doing this on a Sunday?
-
She could have gone for her long trip. So I
-
know something is so special, but this guy is doing
-
so that servant has gone and give good news.
-
And you know what? You know what, boys? What is
-
the name?
-
Just now I showed you what is the name? Boys
-
means hayes strength, his strength. You know what he says?
-
Not only she takes the gleaning. Purposely leaves something that's
-
called us grace. Purposely leave something. And when you leave it,
-
and she he will tell, he will tell, uh, Ruth, Hey, Ruth,
-
don't go and work in any other field. And work
-
in this field. You know, God, God always wants you
-
to work. I'm going to I'm going to speak for
-
pastor Jack. You know what, don't go and work in outside.
-
Work in this field, work in the homes, work in
-
the dream, dream teams, work in what do you call
-
this expresso, work in hosts, work in the church of God,
-
the house of God. You know, like I was wondering,
-
what makes Rudine to come all the way from wherever
-
he is to come and sit here this morning. Is
-
for his daughter to play keyboard bilin whatever keyboard. The
-
reason is he is allowing his daughter to be in
-
field of God. Trust me, in the field of God,
-
there is always a double blessing. There is always always
-
going to be a double blessing. So she is working there.
-
So Boyas said to the ruth, my daughter, listen to me.
-
Don't go and glean in another field. Don't go away
-
from here, stay here the woman who work for me.
-
So the most important thing is beyond anything, beyond the
-
cultural obligation. There is an intentional kindness that Boyas is
-
showing towards the woman. You know what, you and I
-
can be the boyas. You and I need to reflect
-
Christ to others. Is there any is there any ruth
-
in your field? Is there any ruth in your office?
-
They are broken, They are heartbroken, they are painful, they
-
are not well. Like that man with the tattoo in
-
guitar's life, that person who's sitting next to you, they
-
need you, they need boyases that all may know only
-
when we can show the kindness in to them.
-
Is that Okay? I just need to rush.
-
So who are the Mara figures in the field today
-
who are bitter and broken? You know there are bitter
-
this This world is full of brokenness.
-
This world is full.
-
Of people who are tired, who need you guys to
-
be there so ex slightly so and the other word.
-
You know, like I put like this, I may not
-
have time because we started late today. K n O
-
W that all may know that K stands for kindness.
-
And also kinsmen, Jesus is your kinsman. You know what
-
does a kinsmen do? The kinsman redeems you that all
-
may know what is the next part in this Bible?
-
Right?
-
In this story right, everyone is a normal person. There
-
is no David who kills Goliathia. There is no nobody
-
who is strong and mighty nobody is six feet seven feet. No,
-
they are all normal people. Naomi is a normal woman.
-
Widow Ruth is a normal woman, a moobide woman. Right
-
Bias is a normal businessman. Everyone in this story is
-
a normal person.
-
You know.
-
Like most important thing that we may needed to understand
-
is there is no abnormal people in the church. Maybe
-
someone may be chating today, but no abnormal person. That
-
God needs a normal people to do supernatural things. As
-
long as you can see the brokenness in you, he
-
has the power to bring So if anyone need to
-
know Christ, we need a normal people and normal incidences,
-
normal lives. He doesn't need somebody who can preach non
-
stop for twenty hours, somebody who can quote the Bible
-
top upside down. He doesn't need people who need who
-
can lift up a car to show what God can do.
-
He needs people like you and me. But all it
-
needs for him not normal people, not normal incidences, but
-
also those people who are obedient people.
-
Is it okay?
-
He needs normal people, but he needs people who are obedient,
-
those who are faithful. Do you remember what that is?
-
The whole story turns around. The whole story turns around
-
when Ruth said, when Ruth said, I mean, Naomi is
-
very good mother in law. Naomi will say, you know what, Ruth,
-
this man is my kinsman, redeemer. I wanted you to
-
go and work again, but this time, this time when
-
he is sleeping, go and hide at his feet. I'll
-
cover yourself with the shawl. Is it okay with you?
-
That's the story. That's how the book of Ruth will go.
-
I'm summarizing the whole. Do you know Mobiites were treated
-
very very badly. They are not good people, they say,
-
like Mobiites or not of good character. If if something
-
could have happened mobile, Ruth might have been called as
-
a prostitute who is so not so good character. But
-
Ruth has an unshakeable faith on Naomi, and she followed
-
every step of Ruth. And this is what when Naomi said,
-
you know what, go and be in his room. Imagine
-
somebody you're not married, you're young, and someone tells, you
-
know what, go and hide in this guy's room. After
-
this guy have drunk, maybe dance, eat when he comes,
-
go and sit or sit in his room, cover the blanket.
-
And you come out.
-
Can you can you believe what kind of kind of
-
situation the mother in law is telling Ruth. But that Ruth,
-
in spite of the background, in spite of fear, she
-
will follow every word that Naomi says. God might have
-
called you for some purpose. God may say, hey, you
-
know what you may want to to He may want
-
you to start a sell group. Oh my room, my
-
house is only one room. No, don't say that.
-
You know.
-
God may say, start a fellowship for maybe Filipinos. No, God,
-
I may be going. Don't say that this man. If
-
he said I don't want to be in Cyberjaya, we
-
may not be here. Pastor Jack started because he would
-
bag he was faithful.
-
Is that okay with you?
-
So the most important thing that what changed the whole story.
-
Remember I told you in the beginning the Big Book
-
of the King, I mean it's judges. Everyone did what
-
was right in their own eyes. Why this one is
-
changing to be a good scenario is because she does
-
not wanted to decide on her own, but she wanted
-
to decide what God has told her.
-
And Ruth took the chances.
-
She followed God, you know how difficult is for the
-
children to come to the church. Why should I follow
-
you that? Why should I be here? All of my
-
friends were going for a movie. Why should I be here?
-
But this is what is challenging church. If there is
-
anything that we may forget, if you wanted to change
-
the course of people's life around you, if you wanted
-
to change the course of your family life, if you
-
wanted to change the course of the nation's destiny. One
-
thing that is more important and most anything else, is
-
the step of obedience you may.
-
Need to take.
-
Pastor may come and ask, can you be an usher? No, Pastor,
-
I'm not good in smiling. No, that smile will come
-
to you.
-
Is that right? Pastor? Can you sing? Pastor?
-
I don't know any key but the car key. Just
-
follow at Just try. Give a chance, give a chance
-
to God.
-
To work in you.
-
Ordinary people given to extraordinary God shall do extraordinary things.
-
Is that okay? Like you come to church, you give
-
your time to God. God will give his own time
-
to you. He will bring you favor, He will bring
-
you anointing. I don't think David was a natural singer.
-
I think he wanted to sing God, and that's why
-
he become a supernatural singer. Is it a I may
-
not be a good speaker, but when it is the
-
will of God. And in my eyes, I think that
-
anointing shall carry it, the anointing in God when.
-
We walk with God. If you have come here.
-
I think to a fewer sisters, right, yeah, twins, Okay, sisters,
-
twins sane.
-
Right.
-
So if they are serving God, let me tell you,
-
people will serve them whereever, whichever country they are, because
-
God will say, hey, this, these two girls are serving me.
-
Then I will make others to serve them. That's the
-
way God has to work. Right, Like if if I forgot,
-
I'm so sorry?
-
What's her name? Ah?
-
Okay, I know my cellf group so bad? If if
-
Rihanna is playing the keys here and she can orchestrate
-
anything in the school, in the college where she works,
-
because she is doing it for God, and she is
-
doing it for God, is it? Is it?
-
Okay?
-
Makes sense to you normal people, obedient people that I
-
wanted to end with this storia.
-
So what is kay? Kindness?
-
And if you want to show kindness, be a kinsman
-
to somebody in your office, Be a kinsman to your family,
-
Be a kinsman kinsman. Redeems brings back to life again.
-
What is en stands for normal people and normal lives
-
is your is your life normal?
-
Not you?
-
Sorry? What does O stands for? Is that right? Oh? Wow?
-
Good children?
-
So the final word W stands for wonderful redemption. The
-
reason that I asked you to read the last verse
-
of the Book of Ruth. So and so is the
-
father of so and so. So and so is the
-
father of so and so. So and so is the
-
father obeyed, obeyed, brought David? Oh, David is God's own
-
heart Church. Do you know what the whole Book of
-
Ruth is all about?
-
Redemption? This redemption? You know this? More abide? I mean, Paul,
-
please help me to find the place. Do you know?
-
The woman will tell Naomi, Naomi, it's better than seven sons.
-
The last chapter of okay, Bible time, last chapter of
-
Book of Ruth turned to Ruth five, Chapter five, Nola
-
Ruth formerly okay, fine, never matter, Ruth, Ruth four, turn
-
to Ruth for and there is this worse it's better
-
than seven sons and Ruth. Sorry, Naomi became the mother
-
or nursing child.
-
Is that right? I'm doing Bible study?
-
Which chapter? Which verse is that? Verse fifteen? What does
-
it says?
-
Yeah? Somebody read?
-
Please come on, you can read amazing, right, how does
-
Naomi started a life? In the story lost the husband,
-
lost the two sons, and now the women are saying, hey,
-
you know what, this is better than seven sons. Let
-
me tell you. Your second chapter has begun. Your second
-
chapter has begun. Your business failed, that's okay. Your second
-
chapter has begin. Your health fail, don't sory. Your second
-
chapter has begun. You did not get good marks in
-
the previous tests. It's okay. Your second chapter has begun.
-
If you have been a failure so far, your second
-
chapter has begun.
-
Is that okay? Making sense to you?
-
There's four chapter turned around, not only the history of
-
history of Ruth and Naomi. This fourth chapter, these four
-
things has changed the life of Israel. Imagine if Ruth
-
has not obeyed God. If Ruth has not obeyed God,
-
we may not have David. If David was not there,
-
we may not have Jesus Christ. Book of Matthew. Book
-
of Matthew talks only about four women. Four of them
-
are gentles, not of good character, and one of them
-
is Ruth. I tell you if everyone that if we
-
say that all may know, all may need to know
-
the kindness in you, that all may know the Kinsman
-
in you, that all may know that your life is normal,
-
but you have a supernatural God, that all may know
-
that you are an obedient person.
-
And if all may.
-
Know all these things, they will know the wonderful redemption
-
of God.
