  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your tea.

  3. Today. The title and children right taking taking notes as well?

  4. Thank you, exkus teachers. I think what you've been doing,

  5. you guys have been doing is working, all right. They

  6. are very motivated to take notes, all right. It's there's

  7. some encouragement okay as they take notes. So that's that's

  8. a good thing. It's good, all right, because that's what

  9. God does for us as well. I mean, there's the

  10. reward all right in heaven. So anyway, today the title

  11. of my message is storehouses, storehouses, all right, storehouses that

  12. all may know. Okay. Our team this year is still

  13. that all may know, and he will continue on a

  14. right that all may know. Will continue on of course

  15. that all may know will always be something that is

  16. that it calls out to us because all need to

  17. know still all right, until the day all knows, then

  18. it's done. It's done, finished, all right. So storehouses that's

  19. the title. So children, you can take notes. You can draw,

  20. so I tried to put some things for you to

  21. is simple enough, I believe to draw, okay, all right,

  22. you know, draw my face okay, all right, storehouses is

  23. the message it all may know. So now, now how

  24. do we start this? All right, I'm going to talk

  25. about famine. Famine. It starts with famine, right, because we've

  26. been talking about, you know, buying your Bible and bringing

  27. your own bible. Bring your own Bible, okay, anyone you

  28. recently purchased a Bible because of this byob thing that

  29. you know, Passandra's traditional face didn't come up. I know

  30. you're brought a bigger Bible, okay, because you know, as

  31. we age, we need bigger lettersa to be able to see.

  32. That's a good one, all right, So yeah, I think

  33. thank god, you know, bookshops selling bibles still around in Malaysia,

  34. still available. I believe some of you buy online, right,

  35. so still available. It's still good. Yeah. And I think

  36. Olivia was sharing about just a testimony of just bringing

  37. the Bible, not not even reading it yet, but bringing

  38. the Bible to work, and that has caused already a

  39. kind of a stir in a good way that people

  40. ask her, is that a Bible? And people can recognize it?

  41. You know, like sometimes I walk around I remember when

  42. was that? You know this one time I just walk

  43. around carrying this thing, and people will look at it

  44. like just holding this thing like that, and people will

  45. look at it like, what's this guy carrying because it

  46. doesn't look like any normal book. Right, if it's how

  47. to train your Dragon, you will see pictures right or

  48. on it, like guru book you know about like how

  49. to how to get back to whatever computers whatever, right is,

  50. it will be all there. But when they see a

  51. book like that and it sees golden stuff there and

  52. and you know, shiny and leather, and then this decided

  53. there's no other book that looks like this. There's this

  54. golden side here. I think it's like to protect the

  55. pages or something, and they'll they'll they'll wonder like, oh,

  56. it must be a Bible or something. Why is this

  57. guy carrying this? Who is he? Right? So that already

  58. will cost something and it's a good conversation started, all right,

  59. So uh, anyway, I just wanted to mention that, all right, anyway, Bible.

  60. So we've been doing that, right Passandra's video has been

  61. on and she's been talking about the famine of the

  62. Word of the Lord, right, and so I just wanted to,

  63. you know, find out a little bit more, you know,

  64. how is that going to possibly happen? Because when when

  65. we say something like, you know, what if the Bible

  66. vanishes from this earth? And there's a movie right that

  67. is trying to show that the whole Bible is vanished

  68. from this earth. I think it's called Eli Book of Eli.

  69. I love that movie, although it'll be violent, but I

  70. love killing all right, But it shows like, Okay, if

  71. possibly that happened, then that kind of situation now, but

  72. I just can't really meaning in my mind's like, will

  73. they actually happen, like the Bibles vanished from the face

  74. of this earth? The Internet stops working, Internet will never

  75. stop working? Right, they love people love the Internet? Right

  76. just that maybe yeah, I mean the apps, Bible apps vanish.

  77. I don't know. It will take a lot to actually

  78. make that happen, So there will be some really good,

  79. big effort to like stop, you know, Bibles. So I

  80. don't know whether that will exactly happen. Okay, I fifty

  81. to fifty on that. But as I read and as

  82. I just studied a little bit, I realized there is

  83. a way it could happen. So let's talk about famine

  84. for a while. So I studied famine because that's the word, right,

  85. famine of the word of the Lord. Actually, the exact

  86. words are famine of hearing the words of the Lord.

  87. Famine of hearing the words of the Lord is the

  88. exact words. That's in Amos chapter eight. Okay, but let's

  89. talk with famine for a while. So I studied famine,

  90. like literal famine. What is famine, right, famine of the earth? Food?

  91. It's famine has to do with the word other word

  92. that you hear. I'm famished, famished? What's famished? Right? Very hungry,

  93. so hungry, desperately hungry. So famine has to do with that.

  94. So it's got to do it hunger. People are starving,

  95. people have a lack of food, maybe even maybe water. Yeah,

  96. So what causes hunger problems? Famine? All right, it's I studied,

  97. and I think generally like the UN or something like

  98. like you know, the World Health Organizing or whatever, whoever

  99. looks into these things. There's two main causes, right, that

  100. causes famine or world hunger or problems in us in

  101. a in a country. One is it's a problem with

  102. the land. Problem with the land, which we can call

  103. bad ground. You know, there's a story of the good

  104. ground right in the Bible. Okay, well we'll touch a

  105. bit on that later as well. All right, so the

  106. land is bad, why could be no, no, it's not.

  107. It's not you know, suitable for planting, and crops can't grow,

  108. could be polluted. It could be no rain, no rain,

  109. no water, no water, sauces than that place you can't

  110. plant anything. It could be man made reasons like war

  111. or you know, something happened, you know, war whatever, like

  112. currently there's a war right in the Middle East. So

  113. that can cause a lot of famine. Like no, food

  114. can't can't grow, agriculture can't take place, you know, and

  115. so and so could be animals, insects, right, just destroying.

  116. So even though your plant it destroys, can't you can't

  117. maintain it. So, of course the Bible tells us a

  118. little bit about background or the good ground. The story

  119. of the you know, the parable of the ground and

  120. the soil and the seeds is that the first thing

  121. was what there was a bird that took away the seed, right,

  122. and so that's got to do with the equivalent of

  123. that is satan, right right, taking away the word of

  124. God from us. So okay, okay, I don't go into

  125. that part. First, I just talk about the physical stuff,

  126. is okay. So one is the birds take away, so

  127. animals are all right removing the seeds. Can't even plant,

  128. animals destroying crops. Then the next one is what anyone

  129. remembers after the bird is rocks, rocks. It is hard,

  130. hard ground. So the seed can't go in because it's rocks. Yeah,

  131. so bad is hard ground, hard ground, right, can't go in.

  132. Maybe it's not enough water, maybe the soil is not suitable,

  133. there's too much rocks, okay, so the roots can go deep.

  134. And then the third one is someone mentioned thorns thorny,

  135. So these are you know, distractions, right, things that it

  136. could be meaning, could be other plants that stop the

  137. real food plants from growing. It's like weeds, you know,

  138. and yeah, what do you call them? Pests? Like past

  139. plants growing and and and thinking over the ground. Okay,

  140. so uh me in the Bible tell us that kind

  141. of like that's like distraction, right, and other things that

  142. is not of God and and and of the world

  143. that believers get distracted and they don't get into the

  144. Word of God anymore. And then I think that's about it.

  145. That's about it, all right, And uh, of course we

  146. mentioned you know. The other thing is there's no there's

  147. no water, no water, and uh, when we talk about water,

  148. we talk about Holy Spirit. We're talking about Jesus, the

  149. living water. So there's no Jesus, there's no right. So

  150. bad ground causes famine. Have that in mind, okay, So

  151. I'll talk about that later a bit more. But we

  152. need to be good ground. We cannot have a heart

  153. heart heart heartedness, all right, what's how hearts? We talk

  154. about that later. I have a time. I have some

  155. time for that. But now, okay, the other reason for

  156. famine two main causes, right. The other reason for famine

  157. is poverty. Poverty. How does poverty happen? You know? Poverty happens,

  158. you know, And on this earth, there's enough food for everyone. Actually,

  159. there's enough food for everyone. There's more than enough. Some

  160. countries have too much food, right, some don't have But

  161. why is that? Why is that imbalanced? There? Because of

  162. bad decisions decisions that are not made right? You know,

  163. there's greed maybe and or maybe even the people who

  164. you know who don't have enough, why because they they

  165. they they spend their money on something else, like maybe

  166. weapons more than supposed to be food, so they don't

  167. bother about basic things like that. They rather spend on

  168. other things that they thought was, you know, more important.

  169. So just priorities, it's gotta do it. Priorities. Everyone say, priorities. Yeah,

  170. so if we make bad decisions because of priorities in life,

  171. we can end up poor. I've experienced that myself in

  172. terms of like I went broke one or once or

  173. twice in my life. But actually, you know, most times

  174. you you you you get it once? Are you you

  175. get broke once? Right, You'll you'll tell yourself, I will

  176. never want to get there again. Most of us are

  177. all like that. You get that two three times out.

  178. And although I don't know, I pray for you for

  179. wisdom because I don't know how many of you have

  180. experienced being broke, you know, and when you experience that, right,

  181. you will feel like, please don't ever get here again.

  182. Because at that time when I was broke, I saw

  183. nothing in my bank account. And you guys, okay, I

  184. can still here find out that the children all right,

  185. all right, yeah, this is all training for us and

  186. one all right, the children are training here, we also training,

  187. all right, Okay, all right, thank you for doing that.

  188. All right? We we listened through. Okay, where was I

  189. again broke? I was broke one time, so I saw

  190. nothing in my bank account, right uh? And uh then

  191. I still need to eat that, you know. And I

  192. was still so prideful to go for lunch with nothing.

  193. I went for lunch. Maybe I forgot I was. I

  194. had nothing. I went for lunch with my friend ate

  195. the nice banana leave meal. I think I put like

  196. meat and stuff on it. Anyway, After that, like, how

  197. am I supposed to pay anything? Like? After that, I

  198. like pleaded in the sense like hey, friend, sorry, actually

  199. I have no money. I felt so embarrassed after just

  200. saying that. I thought I was gonna say and it's like, okay,

  201. you know, I mean, it's a kind person, right, maybe

  202. definitely will pay for me. And so but when I broke,

  203. when I said those words, actually sorry, I actually had

  204. no money. Can you help me pay first? And I paid

  205. him backlighting but because I had nothing to pay back anyway,

  206. so I said you pay for and then like, hey, shure,

  207. no problem, you know I was when I pay for me.

  208. After that, I realized that it is a bad thing

  209. to do don't don't do that, you know, unless you

  210. really really need help, right, and I really need to

  211. help my I guess I needed help this, right, And

  212. so I told myself, Please don't ever get to this

  213. place again. Don't ever get so broke again. Please manage

  214. your money properly, please, whatever you know, the decision, you

  215. might want to say, not earning enough or whatever, but

  216. you can manage it. There's a way to manage it.

  217. If you can't eat that, don't go banana leavenila, cook

  218. at home or whatever it is or whatever. Right, skip

  219. a meal whatever, right. A lot of us can do that.

  220. Skip a meal on die lie, you know, so manage right,

  221. especially those who are young. Right, you're earning your first paycheck,

  222. all right, it's you gotta struggle. It's not easy. But

  223. my advice to you is learn to manage early. Learn

  224. to manage early. How Actually, the best way to manage

  225. is to give your tithes and you're offering to God first.

  226. That is God's way of training us to manage money.

  227. If you know how to set aside to give to first,

  228. to God, you will learn how to set a site

  229. for everything else. Okay, if you don't know how to

  230. set a site for God. Let mess everything else. I

  231. don't know, all right, because when you set a side

  232. for God, then you will know. Okay, this is the

  233. little that I have left, and always every week I

  234. know what I'm going to give to Jesus, and so

  235. I will not touch that. So there's a lot of

  236. discipline there because there's a fear of God. Is it?

  237. I will not touch this? This belongs to God. And

  238. everything else in your life you'll be like, I will

  239. not touch you know, like like for example, like I

  240. know they're playing instruments this morning, and some of them

  241. are like can I I don't want touch everything? No, no, no,

  242. this is the church instruments, Please take care of it.

  243. I'm trying to teach them that that there is some

  244. things that you just don't touch. Okay, So same thing,

  245. all right, So same things all when you get married,

  246. do be touched other women? Ah? So you know, so

  247. you will know, I mean before marriage, So don't see

  248. be touched any other women. But you know how to

  249. set aside, set apart. Okay. So decisions okay, So poverty

  250. come from bad decisions. So I want to tell you

  251. one more thing. We're very interesting. I learned something from

  252. just studying famine. So there's this term called food desert,

  253. food desert. Have you heard that before? Okay? Who learns

  254. agriculture things like that? All right, right, wow, we need

  255. some people like that, right anyway, So food doesert? Maybe

  256. Paul would say, yeah, he knows because he's a farmer.

  257. He likes the farm. Okay. Anyway, uh Paul, Paul and

  258. Priscilla and in India right now, Yeah, continuing their their marriage,

  259. their wedding, their wedding. Okay, anyway back to this. Uh

  260. w was I food desert? Food desert? Okay? What's the

  261. food dessert? Food desert? Is this the definition of food

  262. desert is the place, for example, you know, some cities

  263. is full of food, but it's food that comes from

  264. for example, convenience stores like Family Mard, like seven eleven

  265. h like petrol stations. It's all this fast and fast food. Okay.

  266. I know you guys love your fast food, especially the kids.

  267. But fast food is considered something from this, you know,

  268. under that category. Food desert is a place is full

  269. of these things fast food, convenient stuff and all processed. Okay,

  270. and people want that so much. Their decision, their you know,

  271. their choice is that more than real food, healthy food

  272. that you buy from grocery stores, like fruits and vegetables

  273. and real meat and whatever. They almost they're they're kind

  274. of rejecting the real stuff because they reject the real

  275. stuff so much. The demand is only for the fast

  276. food in w McDonald's. Hey, I'm not condemning them. I

  277. used to like to eat those things right once and while, right,

  278. but it's the demand is for those things so much

  279. that the grocery stores have to shut down or they

  280. have to move out. They move out from those locations

  281. because nobody wants to buy real stuff anymore. And the

  282. and the process stuff so cheap, so buy quick, quick

  283. food everything, right, I get. I see you get full,

  284. but you're filling your stuff with junk, and the new

  285. nutrition is little or less. You know, you can't eat it.

  286. You can't eat for process food every day. Guys, anyone

  287. here doing that? Save yourself? Okay? Right? Then the cook

  288. maggimy is okay, right, So uh learn to cook real

  289. food okay? Because uh, and so that's it's called a

  290. food desert, and that is actually part of famine. You

  291. think you're full, but you're full of chunks it's femine.

  292. You're actually hungry. Your body is actually hungry for real things,

  293. real nutrition, but you don't get it. Okay, So guys, okay,

  294. doing all right. So two main causes for femine, these

  295. two things. Now I want to move on. Let's what's

  296. on the next light. All right, let's read Amos Chapter eight.

  297. Kids doing okay, taking notes? Right, can open your bibles

  298. and so kids, all right, Amos chapter eight, verse eleven

  299. to twelve. Okay, you can open your bibles XTV. You

  300. normally put it up as well, right, so it's fine, okay, fine,

  301. we wanna punish people for not bringing bibles. We put

  302. it on the screen so to help you guys, so

  303. that we can learn together. Yeah, thank you XTV. Okay,

  304. all right, Amos Chapter eight, verse eleven to twelve. Behold,

  305. the days are coming, declares the Lord God, when I

  306. will send a famine on the land, not a famine

  307. of bread, nor a thirst of thirsts of water for water,

  308. but of hearing the words of the Lord. Hearing the

  309. words of the Lord, they shall wander from sea to sea,

  310. and from north to east. They shall run to and

  311. fro to seek the word of the Lord. But they

  312. shall not find it. Now, burying in mind those two

  313. causes of famine, you know, in the real world and

  314. as in like a you know, the physical world. Now,

  315. let's think about it in terms of the word of God.

  316. What does it mean? The famine of hearing the words

  317. of the Lord? Okay, so when we let's go to

  318. the next life. Yeah, famine of the of hearing the

  319. words of the Lord. How do we know there is

  320. a famine? How we know there's a femine? Anyone? How

  321. do we know? Not enough food? Right? Someone says something hunger, Right,

  322. We've seen those pictures, right, We've seen the pictures of

  323. people sitting around. There's not much food. It's so skinny

  324. flies everywhere, but you know, and stuff like that, Okay,

  325. and they eat whatever they can find. So that's signs

  326. of famine. But how do we know that? How we

  327. know the signs? How do we see the signs of

  328. the famine of the word of the Lord? Right? Okay,

  329. let me tell you some stories. I work in the school,

  330. and currently the school, we teach the Bible, and we

  331. we teach the way of you know, doing what's right

  332. and things like that. So for example, we take things

  333. like bullying very seriously. So when people go around bullying

  334. people teasing other people, if you want to be here,

  335. you can't be talking. You don't go back to you

  336. all right, okay? Or as I saying again, like for example,

  337. bullying is very serious for us. Like if someone is

  338. calling names. Someone just came up to me yesterday and said,

  339. you know what my son one of the parents I say,

  340. my son said when in v a victory academy. Uh,

  341. I can't even say what's the word? I can't even

  342. say word a word like I should even say. It's not.

  343. I mean, it's a bad word, but it's not not

  344. not to extend a fall letter, but l O, as

  345. you know what I'm saying, Yeah, say my friend my

  346. my my son said, I can't even say that word

  347. to my friend. Whereas the previous school I went to,

  348. that's just normal, Like it's okay to say call someone

  349. you know, loser, it's okay. But in VA if I

  350. say it, the teacher is going to discipline me, which

  351. is true. So uh, and then the parents say thank you,

  352. thank you for doing this because at least they know

  353. what a negative words. Because in in the other previous school,

  354. some of these things are normalized. It's okay, it's normal

  355. and so this is one of the things. One example.

  356. So the other example I have is, uh, you know,

  357. there's there some kids who came, you know, registered for school,

  358. and you know, we met the parents and just asked, hey,

  359. you know, we meet parents to talk to them and

  360. just ask, like, you know, how their kids are before,

  361. so we know what to expect when we deal with them.

  362. And so the parents, we just asked, you know, why

  363. are you changing you know, schools because they come from

  364. another school, say we're changing schools. You know what was

  365. the issue there? Was your kid bullied or so we

  366. know if your kid was bullied before, we need to

  367. help them get back to their feet or whatever it is, right,

  368. so we asked. And then so the the parents said,

  369. because they they've experienced VA before, they've experienced Victory Academy before,

  370. then somehow they had to go somewhere else and then

  371. now they they're back here and they want to come back.

  372. And so they were they were bullied in the school

  373. that previously not ours. Girls you know, in the school

  374. day were at bullied and to the extent of physical

  375. you know, beating from another student. So uh, and then

  376. so like you said, ah, man, like my heart broken out,

  377. as in like the parents say. And then they were

  378. saying to me, the students said, does their children say?

  379. You know that this will never happen in Victory Academy.

  380. They were so confident to say that, because it's true,

  381. we actually watch out for those things, and if that

  382. ever happens, right, it's definitely a discipline case, right, and

  383. we will speak to them and we will counsel them,

  384. like why are you doing these things like that? And

  385. so what I'm trying to say is this, when I

  386. heard those things, now I realize there is a famine

  387. of the word of God in many places. They don't

  388. know God. They don't know God's work. Not only that,

  389. maybe they know God's word, but they're not living out

  390. God's word. So it's one thing to know, you know,

  391. to know you read the Bible, you know, but are

  392. we living out God's word? Because if we're not, that

  393. means we haven't consumed God's word. Like food, if we

  394. eat it, we will show it right. If you eat it,

  395. it'll come out right right. If you eat it, you'll

  396. have the energy. Right. If you eat enough healthy food,

  397. you will look healthy and you will act healthy. Right,

  398. if you eat too much junk, you also show it

  399. in sicknesses, in diseases, in your skin color showing you know,

  400. I mean not not skin color, but you know you

  401. turn different color, right, unhealthy colors. So the famine of

  402. the word hearing the words of the Lord, I believe,

  403. is that you don't assume God's word enough. You are

  404. actually starving of God's word so much, and sometimes you

  405. don't even know it. Because just like the junk food

  406. that those guys are eating in that land, and so

  407. much so that they rejected all the healthy stuff, and

  408. all the grocery stores are all out, and they think

  409. they're full. A lot of people are doing that. They're

  410. eating stuff. They think they're healthy, they're full, but actually

  411. it shows through their action by their fruit. They will know.

  412. By the fruit, we will know. So what fruit are

  413. we bearing? Right? It's a good check. Right, You look

  414. at yourself? How am I living my life? What kind

  415. of things am I saying to each other? To myself?

  416. Check it and go like, am I actually having a

  417. famine of the word of God in my life? Do

  418. I need to now change my diet, my diet of

  419. what I consume in my spirit, into my spirit. Right,

  420. listen to the songs that you're listening to. Just analyze

  421. it a bit, right, don't be so biased. I know

  422. you love your music sometimes, but step out of it

  423. for a while and say, okay, step out of it

  424. for I'm just gonna analyze the stuff that I'm listening

  425. to and see the words, write down those lyrics, and

  426. go like is this even right? All these things these

  427. guys are saying? Is it even right? And am I

  428. really okay with it? So check it right? Like, just

  429. be a neutral guy for what get out and say like,

  430. is this even right? The guy? You know the lyrics

  431. this guy's saying and talking about other people talking about

  432. you Sometimes the song I'm whacking the listener so much

  433. and they're still like yeah, I'm listening, like yeah, this

  434. is me. Come on, man, don't give there so much

  435. for the stuff they're saying to you and other people

  436. that's so negative. Yeah, I know you love it. I

  437. know they you know why because they make it so sweet.

  438. They sweeten it. They sweetened it by the beats and

  439. the music. I know. I'm a music guy, man, come on,

  440. I make music. I produce music, and I know we

  441. need to make it sweet. Even worship music some sweetness

  442. in it so that people can accept it. Of course,

  443. if it's not nice, I'm a bit hard to sing that,

  444. you know, I understand that. But that's what they do

  445. in the music industry. They make it sweet and you

  446. love it your your soul, love it because your your ears,

  447. you it tickles your heart. But please check what is

  448. this guy actually saying? And then you need to make

  449. a decision. It's hard sometimes, I understand it's a hard decision.

  450. You go, oh man, this guy's knocking God. This guy

  451. say insulting God. I really got to stop listening to

  452. him or her and go like, oh man, that music's

  453. so nice. You gotta make a choice. You've got to

  454. make a choice. Otherwise you're feeding yourself with all the A,

  455. n W and the KFC. You're thinking you're healthy, but

  456. really maybe you need a doctor to tell you that.

  457. Check your your vitals, your heart right. That's and that's

  458. why we we we do discipleship here. Discipleship in this

  459. church is very important. Next year is going to be

  460. even more. We're gonna do even more discipleship, and that

  461. then the discipleship is going to be like your your health,

  462. check your doctor, checking your heart, your you know your blood,

  463. your in a sense, your spirit. All right, And then

  464. I know a lot of doctors will tell you, don't

  465. eat this, don't eat that, don't do this, don't do that,

  466. exercise more. But when are you going to do it

  467. or not? Right, still have to make a choice. So

  468. in the end it's still back to we make a choice, yep.

  469. So don't make a foolish choice until you become poor, broke,

  470. a broke spirit. Right, if you're broke because of money,

  471. you can still save it. Well, broke spirit, who's going

  472. to help you? I know one personae Jesus. Jesus is

  473. the savior of our spirit, of our soul. Only he

  474. can we can turn to him. He can save us.

  475. All right. Let's go with the next slide here, ah, right,

  476. So the other way to know, all right, famine is

  477. this Romans ten seventeen. Everyone, let's read together one two three.

  478. Faith comes from hearing and hearing through the world of Christ.

  479. Faith comes from here and hearing through the world of Christ.

  480. If we hear the word of Christ, the word of God,

  481. we should be able to act by faith. Faith is

  482. a sign of health. Faith is a sign that we

  483. are healthy. We are consuming the right stuff. If you're

  484. consuming the right stuff, you'll consume the word of Christ.

  485. You will show faith.

  486. Okay.

  487. What's the opposite of faith, fear. The other opposite of

  488. faith is flesh, unbelieved flesh. You'll know the words. Okay,

  489. it's the flesh. You will love the things of the

  490. flesh more than faith. Example, if you are asked, you know,

  491. to serve. If you're asked to, would you like to

  492. take part in homes? If you like to come for

  493. pre Okay, relax, relax, I'm just saying, all right. Would

  494. you like to go for missions? Would you like to

  495. say a prayer? Would you like to read the Bible? Okay?

  496. These are things of faith. Okay, But if the flesh

  497. comes in is I don't want to read the Bible.

  498. I don't believe in God. I don't know what is real.

  499. That's that's unbelief, that's the flesh. Me myself, I am enough.

  500. I can do all things through myself. Why what the

  501. Bible says? I can do all things through Christ, which

  502. strengthens me. I can't do it on myself. Me, I

  503. myself not enough. I know some music let's say that

  504. I am me enough. I don't know me myself. I

  505. I'm enough, I'm good, I'm so strong, I'm stronger by myself.

  506. That's a lie. That's not the word of God. The

  507. word of God says I can do all things through Christ.

  508. It's only through Christ. Right, only with Jesus, then we're strong. Right.

  509. Who strengthens me? Christ strengthens me? Amen? Hope everyone's doing okay, okay, right,

  510. all right. I I'm here to encourage you. I'm here

  511. to encourage us to love God, to have faith, to

  512. not be famished, to be full of the Holy Spirit,

  513. to be full of the Word of God. Amen. Right,

  514. And you know, I'm just reminded we need to go

  515. to battle with the flesh. I heard yesterday, you know,

  516. someone said, uh, this is mingshing me. He's one of

  517. our leaders. He hates up x TV. Actually right, he's

  518. the boss of x TV right now. But one of

  519. the things she shed was quite interesting. Right, is this

  520. he said? He struggled with his quiet time. He struggled

  521. with reading the Bible. He struggled like every time I

  522. look at the Bible, I don't know, I don't feel

  523. like reading it. I read it, so I don't know

  524. what I understand. So what he did was he said,

  525. you know, let me find something to try to at

  526. least have the Bible in my life. So what he

  527. did was he he said, I'm you know, I'm driving

  528. to work anyway, you know, and I listened to podcasts anyway.

  529. He listens to I don't know what podcasts. Before this,

  530. they said, what you know, what I'm gonna do. I'm

  531. gonna switch my podcast to the Audio Bible instead, since

  532. I'm driving anyway. I think it's not too hard. Right then,

  533. he said, when he started playing the Audio Bible, he said,

  534. he can't even listen to it. He's just like drive

  535. and audio Bible is someone reading there, probably some you know,

  536. some British guy that's so difficult to understand the accent

  537. for Asian guy. And he's like, whatever, you know. But

  538. then I believe it's a holy spirit working inside of

  539. him saying just keep playing it. You don't listen and

  540. so don't understand, just play it. And he kept playing

  541. every day, just played, make make sure he just played

  542. it podcasts of the Audio Bible, and eventually I think

  543. his ears started to get tuned to it, like and

  544. then he said, like, I started listening, actually listening to it,

  545. and as he listened, he started to actually understand what

  546. it's actually saying. And because you know, he said, just

  547. the hole spirit told him just keep playing because naked

  548. a habit so much so that he said when he

  549. didn't play it, he felt weird, he felt strange. The

  550. Bible is not on today, so he's like, I gotta

  551. have it on, like you know, so it's a fight.

  552. It's a fight. He's fighting the flesh. Because the flesh.

  553. He says, No, don't no play, turn on your favorite

  554. podcast of money, how to make more money or whatever.

  555. I don't know, entertainment jokes, right, it could be music

  556. as well, right, but I want to emphasize on the Bible.

  557. So he started doing it. And then he said, because

  558. he did that so much, now it has now graduated

  559. to not only just listening to podcasts. He wants to

  560. actually read the Bible because he has experienced the beauty

  561. of the Bible. He realized it's not as boring as

  562. I thought it was. It's not as difficult as I

  563. thought it was. I actually understand, and so that's why

  564. now you can he can read it because I understand, right,

  565. So he got a breakthrough. Everyone will okay, anyone here

  566. needs a breakthrough? Yeah, okay, so fight it. It's a

  567. battle between the faith, between faith and the flesh a man.

  568. All right, Okay, what's next on day? All right? How

  569. do you overcome? How do we overcome? Oh, I'm going

  570. to give you something. It's very specific here. How do

  571. we overcome? All right? So I want to tell you

  572. just now to talk about storehouses. Okay. In the story

  573. of Joseph, there was a famine, right Joseph, you know,

  574. Joseph the Dreamer, Right, he draamt and his brothers bowed

  575. down to him. Brothers didn't like it, sold him off

  576. to slavery, and they say, yeah, now see whether we

  577. can bow down to you. But you know, God turned

  578. around the whole situation from impossible right to a beautiful story.

  579. My kids love to watch the cartoon of Joseph the Dreamer,

  580. so good. But in that story, there was a famine

  581. and Pharaoh had a dream before that, right, Pharaoh had

  582. a dream that the famine was going to happen. Seven

  583. years are plentiful, seven years of famine, severe famine bad.

  584. But Joseph was able to interpret he was there at

  585. the right time, at the right place. Anyone here, you're

  586. at the right time, at the right place, at your work, right,

  587. You're there for a reason. God placed you there, okay.

  588. And Joseph was there to interpret the dream of Pharaoh

  589. and say, yeah, this is what it means. And Pharaoh,

  590. by God's grace, by the spirit of God, I believe usked,

  591. you know, got him, got Joseph to be just be

  592. empowered just under Pharaoh, all right. Some people say it's

  593. like a prime minister, okay, viceroy or something like that. Right.

  594. So he then he leads people to store up, you know,

  595. storehouses grains so that for that seven years, don't eat everything,

  596. store it because the next seven years they will need

  597. to come and get it right. And so what happened was,

  598. you know, a famine hit and they were ready. There

  599. were storehouses, storehouse ready. Good planning, good planning, isn't it right?

  600. It requires planning, It requires work. There was work done

  601. to store enough grain. Even imagine if you just start

  602. enough for five years, next two years. How Joseph was

  603. smart man to be able to calculate how much for

  604. seven years? I don't know whether I can do it

  605. I could do it. It's real big time manager, right. There's

  606. a lot of work. And to organize the people to

  607. do all this. He needed to go to farms to

  608. make sure they didn't eat all the food, make sure

  609. there's enough to do surplus. It's a lot of work

  610. to make sure the whole world at that time, the

  611. whole world, because that was the world in the view.

  612. They didn't I don't know, they didn't know the Americas

  613. and all that yet. But he prepared for the whole world.

  614. It's an amazing task. Joseph w heads off to you, man, Joseph,

  615. such a good job. Make sure seven years he could

  616. do that. So, guys, it's work. It's planning, right, you

  617. want to you want to be a store house for God.

  618. It is work. It is planning. And I want to

  619. invite all of us here to do it together. We're

  620. here to do it together. I hope I'll be a

  621. good manager like Joseph, right right, you know you all

  622. manage that. You all managed to get there. We managed

  623. to get there all right, by grace, By God's grace,

  624. we need to be storehouses. Uh. And so one thing

  625. I noticed is that his brothers had now had to

  626. not come to him, his brothers come to him. Of

  627. course they had to bow down to him, and they

  628. also got food. And I tell you sometimes we are

  629. storehouses even for our own people. You get that. There

  630. a lot of people who claim their Christians, They say

  631. they believe in God, but are they really storing enough

  632. food for themselves? Even even the people of faith, Jacob,

  633. they didn't have the wisdom to store They didn't get

  634. the wisdom to do that. They will believe us in God,

  635. but they still had to come to Joseph who was

  636. the real storehouse to actually get the food. So when

  637. the time of famine hits, who's going to be the storehouse? Right?

  638. We can claim to be believers and Christian and all

  639. these things, but then when famine hits, are we gonna survive?

  640. Do we actually have the word of God stored inside

  641. of us? Okay? I wanted to emphasize that because pass

  642. Kenna did mention before that we are, how a church

  643. that is a storehouse we need to be ready for

  644. when the time famine hits. And I'm telling you famine

  645. is hitting already because I told you the stories, right,

  646. people don't have God in their lives, in their hearts

  647. and they're hungry. But who do they turn to? Will

  648. they know where to go? Everyone that time knew that

  649. Joseph had the storehouse, and they all went there. They

  650. knew where to go. Okay, But if imagine Joseph was

  651. not ready and there's no storehouse, is going to die.

  652. So same here, same here? Who is going to be

  653. the storehouse for when pleming hits and everyone is looking

  654. for people who actually have the Word of God in

  655. their lives. I'm telling you not just just people who

  656. read it, not just people who own the Bible. And

  657. I'm not just saying just that, it's people who actually

  658. live out the Word of God in their lives. They

  659. have it in them. They live by faith. Right when

  660. you look at them, you know these people they really believe,

  661. they serve there. You know they're in there. They have action, okay,

  662. pass Kenna. They share before that our church plants are storehouses. Okay.

  663. And I want to say it's not just people who

  664. know the Bible in their hats, but actually live out

  665. the Word of God in their lives through their lives

  666. by faith, meaning their action shows faith. Right when when

  667. we are asked to go, you know, one of the

  668. things that we do is there's this prayer pray really

  669. no no, no, Suban love Subang prayer all the time. So

  670. far until now, the ex church always sends the most

  671. people to Subang rarely prayer. And I want to say

  672. that is because that shows faith that we believe in

  673. prayer and our young people actually go to prayer to

  674. support Subang Subang. Why because we started in Subang and

  675. so we continue to support the Subang prayer rally. Okay,

  676. it shows faith. When you go for prayer, you're saying

  677. I believe that God is going to help me in

  678. my situation. All right. Sometimes prayer sounds like what am

  679. I doing there? I'm just talking, saying a few words there,

  680. I'm singing some songs and then what happens? All right,

  681. I'm not here ring preaching. I'm not learning something. Preaching

  682. sounds a bit more interesting, line, right, Okay. I maybe

  683. try to make it interesting, try to, you know, jokes

  684. a bit here and there. But you go prayer, there's

  685. no jokes. Uh. Some people try to pray a bit fornilla,

  686. try to joke in their prayer. Sometimes I do that,

  687. all right, but sounds a bit inappropriate to do that

  688. when you're praying, all right, try to crack a joke

  689. in the prayer. Yeah, it's not easier. But what I'm

  690. saying is you go prayer right. Normally it's like who

  691. goes a prayer right? In a sense unless people who

  692. have faith and you want to pray for the city,

  693. you want to pray for the church. It's not you're

  694. not gonna pray for yourself or when you go for

  695. prayer service or prayer services. We do pray a bit

  696. for ourselves, but we pray for the church. We pray

  697. for other people. We pray for other church plants, we

  698. pray for people going for missions. Who are these people?

  699. Does it benefit me? Right? But it's faith and that's why.

  700. And that's a sign of faith. Okay. I'm not saying

  701. that that is the only sign of faith, but I'm saying,

  702. what is faith? How do you show faith in your

  703. in our lives? Amen? Everyone? Okay, here, I want to

  704. encourage us here, let's live by faith and you you

  705. will have faith only as the verse it just now,

  706. through hearing and hearing the words of Christ, the words

  707. of Christ, the word of Jesus. Okay, how else do

  708. we overcome? Okay? So I said, okay, let's go into

  709. it is that the next night. Okay, wait, hold on,

  710. let's go back to that previously. Let me just try

  711. and finish that, and then we're going to end sooner.

  712. I want to talk a bit more about m Yeah.

  713. So uh church planting, Yeah, church planting. Let me share

  714. with you the vision of the church of X Church. Right.

  715. Our vision comes from there, the versus Habakuk two fourteen. Okay,

  716. let's read together one two three four. The earth will

  717. be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the

  718. Lord as the waters cover the sea. This is what

  719. we want to see. This is the vision that God

  720. has put in the Bible. And uh uh you know

  721. He has shown past the kenneth this vision for X Church.

  722. And so this is where we're heading to. We want

  723. to partner with God so that the earth will be

  724. filled knowing God's glory, knowing God and His glory as

  725. the waters covered. See that's whole earth. Yeah, and so

  726. that's what we're we're hating. But then how are we

  727. going to do it? How do we do it? Is

  728. also very specific? All right, she's in the next light.

  729. How do we fulfill the vision? It is discipleship through

  730. church planting. And that's why we plant churches in Cyberjaya,

  731. in Nilai, in Sricamanghan and also in the rest of

  732. the world. So we like you know in Botswana we

  733. have as well in the UK in Melbourne. Right. This

  734. is how we fulfill this vision, so through church planting,

  735. but not just church planting, it's discipleship through church planting.

  736. Oh man, I have no time to talk too much

  737. about this, but you know, church planting changes your life.

  738. I was not always a church planter, but when I

  739. started planning church, I felt like I was buried to

  740. the ground. All my pride had to go, right. I

  741. felt like I was buried, you know, and then I

  742. had to have a new life because I can't do

  743. the things that I used to like to do. I

  744. can't speak the way I used to speak, right, I

  745. can't treat people the way I used to treat people. Okay,

  746. I tell you one truth. Olivia's not here. Yeah there

  747. was this, yeah this tell her quickly it's okay because

  748. Olivia's not here. But one time she came up to

  749. me during the early days in church planting, and she

  750. was not married yet to Andrew. But then she was

  751. like Andrew, you know, she was like be a complainer.

  752. She like Andrew because Andrew is a very practical guy.

  753. He's a good worker, a right great guy. But at

  754. the time Olivia is like, you know, every time she

  755. loves to do God's work on and she's you know,

  756. like go pray and things like that. And then I

  757. think I can't remember the exact situation, but you know,

  758. Andrew was saying, how why you want to so much?

  759. You know, I probably asked you her this guy question.

  760. It's very practical, it's good, right, and then she's like, well,

  761. like this is I just went straight and I you know,

  762. that's what I don't think it was nice of me now,

  763. But I said, well, you want to marry a pastor?

  764. I said that to her, not everybody can be pastor

  765. that I just wept like after that, and I realized

  766. what a bad I don't think any pastor should speak

  767. like that to anyone. She's like, I think she got shocked,

  768. like those words coming from a person who's leading the judge.

  769. But after that, I went home. I rang in my

  770. head again. I laughed about it a bit, but I

  771. realized that was quite bad. That's quite bad. It's quite bad.

  772. I think the Holy Spirit speaking to me, like, don't

  773. talk like that to people. And it's from that day onwards,

  774. I stopped talking like that. Right. Uh. There's one time,

  775. so you know, during homes is this guy called Quan

  776. Chin con Chin. He was our first part of our

  777. first group, you know, planning the church together. He he

  778. loves to explain stuff. He's like he teaches the Bible.

  779. He's like explaining and he's taking his time, and he

  780. went a bit over time. I'm a timekeeper guy. I

  781. keep time as much as I can, right, And so

  782. I looked at Quan Chin. It's a whole group of

  783. people there, he's teaching the Bible, a lot of students there.

  784. I just went like, time's up, brother, Like everyone's looking

  785. at me, and she's like okay, okay, But I set

  786. it out loud like you not a nice wayer. I

  787. only did that because wepeat that a few times, you know,

  788. so like you know, and then after that I got,

  789. you know again, it rang in my head, rang in

  790. my head, rang in my head like don't do that,

  791. don't do that. There are better ways to do it.

  792. Nothing wrong with keeping time and all the timekeepers in

  793. the house say yeah, yeah, you're my friends. We love

  794. to keep time, all right, it's good. Time is precious. Yeah,

  795. so so I but God spoke to me and said,

  796. don't do like that. There are better ways to keep time.

  797. And there's a nicer way to you know, you can

  798. smile and you know, and go near to him. Gotta

  799. move on, you know, or whatever. Right, So I learned

  800. a lot being a church planter, and uh, and I realized,

  801. you know, some things I can't do, and uh and

  802. and I keep learning. So church planting is de I

  803. push him and any all of you, anyone of you

  804. you are if you're involved, you're serving, you're taking part,

  805. you're part of this. You are actually going through this.

  806. I full shit through the church planting that we do.

  807. There are many ways that we do it. Sometimes it's

  808. here church planting. Sometimes it's at homes when you help

  809. to plant homes, meaning when you are joining the homes,

  810. you're actually helping the plant homes. You're joining the homes

  811. and you're helping there. You're serving there, you bring the

  812. food sometimes and whatever you do right, it's sacrifice and

  813. you're doing your part. Right, So thanks for doing that.

  814. Some of you, you leave worship at homes. You teach

  815. the word, things like that, so homes. But it's all

  816. dicip pusship. Right when you prepare the word, you need

  817. to have the fear of the Lord. You can't just

  818. do anything you like, and you know, do it by

  819. the flesh God. Be in prayer. You got to pray,

  820. and if you haven't been praying, suddenly you want to

  821. help homes. I got to pray, join the homes in prayer.

  822. And then of course small groups. Some of you, I

  823. know that Massa has an amazing small group right now?

  824. Are you all from the small group? Yeah? Yeah, well done.

  825. I love I love seeing the updates you know from

  826. the Massa homes. They started with only two of them

  827. TMU and Timo tim t Timo. Yeah, and now they

  828. have how many? Now?

  829. Eight?

  830. I see eight sometimes nine? Right, people joining and I

  831. think when they started as we like, what am I doing? Right? Like?

  832. What am I doing? Just do you know? And it's faith,

  833. that's what you call faith. You step out in faith.

  834. I want to encourage any other colleges here. You can

  835. do your small groups too. Don't worry, don't worry if

  836. it's just one person, it's just two you start, and

  837. then you invite, and you will see God move in

  838. your small groups. Okay, and that's how we do it

  839. to fulfill the vision. It's discipleship through church planting. Amen.
