  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day today.

  3. I'm going to be continuing my message from the last

  4. time I spoke. So the last time I spoke, for

  5. those of you who are here, I started off by

  6. talking about Noah. Right, Noah from the Bible, and we

  7. have a Noah real life here, a real life Noah. Yeah,

  8. wave your hand, Noah awesome. Awesome. Uh, you know, really

  9. great guy together with his wife Koi. I called him

  10. Noi because Noah plus Koi e goes Noi ha noy Okay,

  11. but but okay, just a sign, not one. You know,

  12. our brother and sister are actually going to return home

  13. to Kenya just about a month from now. Yeah, so

  14. his studies and work has called him back and we

  15. trust that, you know, God is in full control even

  16. of this transition. So let's spend the next month, you know,

  17. just just cheering, encouraging our precious brothers and sister even

  18. as they get ready to transition back home. You know,

  19. one day, whether ex Kenya, I don't know. We'll see

  20. how the Lord leads. But go see, we'll see. They're

  21. still praying, praying, seeking the Lord, Yeah, but we will.

  22. We will love them so much, you know, They've been

  23. such an amazing blessing and we will miss them for sure.

  24. But anyway, we will do the farewell later. But just

  25. just to give your heads up if you didn't know,

  26. Noah and Kroi have been called home to Kenya middle

  27. of next month. So if you can just you know, yeah,

  28. spend some time with them, encourage them, pray for them,

  29. support them in this transition, okay, and we will definitely

  30. stay in touch. I heard it's the deal from a

  31. Asia still on the travel to Kenya is only seven

  32. hundred plus plus ring Gate. Yeah, so Asia a few

  33. months ago came out with this deal to travel to Kenya.

  34. It's only seven hundred plus plus ring it as a base.

  35. Of course, by the time you at your meals, you

  36. at your insurance at pot text, you will come up

  37. to mow. But it's quite amazing. Lot. There's no other

  38. African country that Asia provides this travel and deal too,

  39. So we don't know why God has installed let's see.

  40. Let's see, okay, all right, so I'm going to be

  41. continuing God's message on Noah, all right, And why Noah

  42. because he's actually the first person in the Bible that

  43. was mentioned to be obedient. So, you know, the world

  44. of God is living, it's powerful, it's precious, and there's

  45. so much that we can learn from God's word. And

  46. you know, every time someone or something is mentioned for

  47. the first time is extra special, and uh, you know,

  48. it's it's extra important for us to also learn from.

  49. So as I was reading Genesis, I realized that Noah

  50. was the first person that it was written about that

  51. he was obedient to God, that he followed what God

  52. asked him to do, Not Adam, not Able, not Cain,

  53. not Saith. Okay enough, yeah, it was it was spoken

  54. of him that he walked with God, but it wasn't

  55. written that he obeyed God. I'm sure he did. I'm

  56. sure he did. Okay, when one walks with God, I'm

  57. sure that he will obey God. But of Noah, it

  58. was clearly written that Noah did all that God asked

  59. him to do. That is equivalent to obedience, doing all,

  60. not summer all that God asked to do. So let's

  61. study this first mention. Okay, the life of Noah. Okay,

  62. so I mentioned previously. Okay, let's look at Genesis chapter

  63. five verse twenty eight. Thanks coy. Okay, let's turn to

  64. our bibles, Genesis chapter five, verse twenty eight, and we're

  65. going to be reading from Genesis chapter five to nine today,

  66. different parts of it. Okay, So you can just turn

  67. to Genesis chapter five, verse twenty eight. Verse. I spoke

  68. on this the last time, but I'm just going to

  69. do a recap. Okay. So, Genesis chapter five, verse twenty eight.

  70. It says, when Lamac had lived one hundred and eighty

  71. two years, he fathered a son and called his name Noah,

  72. saying out of the ground that the Lord has cursed

  73. this one shall bring us relief from our work and

  74. from the painful toil of our hands. And so in

  75. this world we can keep this verse here, all right.

  76. So here we learn of two characters. The first character

  77. is la Mack. Right. La Mack is the father of

  78. Noah in the Bible, and Noah. When Noah was born,

  79. his father had big dreams and hopes for him. At

  80. that time, his father La Mack felt that humans were

  81. working very, very hard, and humans were going through a

  82. lord of suffering and trouble. And so Lamack, which is

  83. Noah's father, had hopes for Noah to in a way

  84. be dead, say, to save people from their hard work

  85. and their heartache, to bring them that rest and that relief. Now,

  86. nothing wrong with that expectation, you know, as you know

  87. our parents, they can have different expectations for us. We

  88. can have different expectations for ourkaid. It's nothing wrong, Okay,

  89. it's good to have expectations. Means to be actually are

  90. hopeful and were faith, all right. But God, as Noah's

  91. heavenly father, had a different and a bigger expectation for

  92. the life of Noah, all right. And Noah in Hebrew

  93. actually means to rest. Everyone say to rest now. God's

  94. idea for Noah, or God's plan for Noah now was

  95. not so much to rest after all the work and

  96. trouble had passed. But God's idea for Noah was to

  97. rest even in the midst of the hard work, even

  98. in the midst of the trouble, to still be able

  99. to find rest. And that's God's idea of rest. Sometimes

  100. or many times, we as human beings, we want hardship,

  101. we want trouble to pass first. Then only we say, Ah, finally,

  102. now it's all over, I can rest, true or not

  103. Finally the exam is over. Finally that that work deadline

  104. is over. Finally I got the girl or the guy.

  105. Finally I have this child, Finally I have this car,

  106. Finally I have this house, Finally I have this visa.

  107. Finally I mean my dream land. As humans, we're always

  108. waiting for that finally moment. Finally my kids are grown up, finally, finally, finally,

  109. then only we feel like we can rest. But God

  110. has a higher and a better way of rest. He's saying,

  111. you don't have to wait for your final least only

  112. you can find rest. You can find rest even when

  113. you're finally is still on the way, Even in the

  114. midst of your studies, your exam prep, even in the

  115. midst of that crunch time work project, even in that

  116. myst you know of of pursuing someone or something, some dream,

  117. you can also find rest in God. Because if we

  118. read later the story of Noah, you would read that

  119. he built an arc that his family and some representatives

  120. of the animals could rest in even in the midst

  121. of the flood. An arc in the middle of the

  122. flood signifies God is able to give us rest in

  123. the middle of the floods of our lives. Amen. Can

  124. I hear an amen for that? Amen? So life is

  125. not always easy. It's usually a sea, right, Sometimes it

  126. feels really stormy and floodish. But God can give us

  127. his rest in the middle of that sea, the waves,

  128. the flood. Amen. And for those of you who want

  129. to receive His rest even in this season that you're

  130. going through, can I hear allow amen? Amen? Okay? Now, okay,

  131. let's go to Genesis chapter five, and I'm gonna share

  132. the first point of today's message. Okay, but let's read geneship.

  133. Just Genesis chapter five, verse thirty two. First, Okay, it

  134. says after Noah was five hundred years old, Noah fathered

  135. shem Ham and Jeffirth. Okay, now just remember five hundred

  136. years older. Keep it in your mind. Now, let's jump

  137. to Genesis chapter nine, verse twenty nine. Genesis nine twenty nine,

  138. and it says all the days of Noah were nine

  139. hundred fifty years and he died nine hundred and fifty

  140. years Okay, So imagine with me. Noah was born, okay,

  141. and he died at nine hundred and fifty years old. Wow,

  142. can you imagine living to nine hundred and fifty years old.

  143. I cannot, man, I really can't. I don't know how.

  144. But yeah, one day when we get to heaven, we

  145. asked the early people, how was it like living to

  146. like one thousand years old, five hundred years old? Yeah,

  147. it's just crazy. But Noah lived to nine hundred and

  148. fifty years old. And when Noah was five hundred years old,

  149. he became a father of Shamham and Jeffers. And it

  150. was then that also God called him to build the Ark.

  151. So Noah was at the mid point of his life

  152. when God asked him to build an ark. Birth death,

  153. nine hundred and fifty years, five hundred years he became

  154. a father and God asked him to build an ark.

  155. That's his midlife. And so my first point to us

  156. is to obey God in every season of our lives.

  157. And this I want to say especially to those of

  158. us who are in the middle of our lives or older. Sometimes,

  159. you know, it's it seems easier to obey God when

  160. we first know him, when we are so in love

  161. with him, when we, you know, are so on fire

  162. for him, and we are so curious and so fresh

  163. in the world. It's sometimes easier to say yes, Lord,

  164. I remember as a young person, right I I I

  165. guess I would say yes to God a lortl or

  166. yes to the church a lot, or yes to my

  167. leaders a lot, because you know, I was just so

  168. young and so excited about God, about life. You know. Yeah,

  169. this morning I was just driving to Cyberjaya and I

  170. was playing the song Friend of God by Lakewood Church

  171. or Israel Houghton, and I was God just made me

  172. remember that twenty years ago I was also driving in

  173. my car listening to that same song twenty years ago.

  174. That time, I was a medical school student and I

  175. started studying in I'm You bookl for two and a

  176. half years, and then the next two and a half

  177. years I had to stay Insturramban to do my clinical school.

  178. And for that two years that I was in Sturmban,

  179. every weekend I would travel up to Subunk for church.

  180. At first, I didn't have a car, so what I

  181. would do is Friday evening after class, I would actually

  182. go to the KTM station in Suramban. I would take

  183. the KTM to come up to Subang. That time, we

  184. only had one church in Subang Jaya Summit. And of

  185. course when I moved to Stromban. I prayed, God, do

  186. you want me to you know, be in a local

  187. church instrument or do you want me to come back

  188. to ex church in Subang. So I felt God was

  189. calling me to come back to exchrech in Subang. So

  190. I did that. So for two years, every weekend Friday,

  191. after class finished, by five o'clock, I will make my

  192. way to the KTM station and then I would take

  193. the KTM. It was one and a half hours to

  194. kill Central. Then from kel Central it was another half

  195. an hour to Subang, so it was at least two

  196. hours travel time. Haven't come waiting time yet maybe plus

  197. waiting time is almost three hours. So I would do

  198. that on Fridays and on Sundays after church ended, after lunch,

  199. would make my way to the KTEM station, take the

  200. KTM back to Suramban. So I would do that every weekend. Then,

  201. thank God, in the middle of my clinical school, I

  202. actually God actually blessed me with my parents hand me

  203. down car. Yeah, it was our family car and it

  204. passed on my father to my mother to me. But

  205. I was praying for a car. Say God, please give

  206. me a car so it'd be easier for me to

  207. drive you know, for church and I could bring my

  208. friends as well. So God bless me for a family

  209. car and I would drive up after class, drive up

  210. and then after church or that. There was a time

  211. that I met Olivia. So Olivia was studying in UM

  212. and I remember Sunday morning, so I stayed in Subang

  213. with my sister. Sunday morning, I would drive all the

  214. way to Um, pick up the UM people, bring them

  215. to church, back to Subang. Then after that after church markan,

  216. send them back to Um, send them back to UM.

  217. After that I would travel back to Suramban. So that

  218. was my Sunday as a student. I told God, if

  219. you give me a car, it's not gonna be for myself,

  220. it's gonna be for others. And truly he blessed me

  221. with a car, and he's been so good to keep

  222. upgrading my cars over the years. It's really God. But

  223. you know, when you ask for a blessing not for yourself,

  224. but with others in mind, he will give you the

  225. extra extra bonus. Lah, okay, all right. If it's just

  226. for yourself, he will just give you that little portion.

  227. But if for others, I give you even more. Yeah.

  228. So those are the days right only remember not yeah

  229. and uh yeah? So that was there was what we did.

  230. So my early days, Wow, I felt it was quite

  231. easy to say yes to Jesus. But now, twenty years

  232. down the road, it's not so easy to say yes

  233. to Jesus. You know. Yeah, the older people here in

  234. the room, you know what I mean, because the requests

  235. come bigger as we grow on in life. God will

  236. ask more of us because we are maturing. I mean,

  237. my expectation of you know, Cali will be very different

  238. baby Cali would be very different from my expectation with

  239. Anna because Enna is bigger. And my expectation of my

  240. husband will be even more because he's you know, even older.

  241. Oh yeah, yeah, say you get what I mean, Laha,

  242. As you grow on in life, more will be expected

  243. from you, even with God. Okay, and so will we

  244. still say yes to God when we are older in life?

  245. I told you my story when I was younger, Wow

  246. on fire for God, Like I said, I'll travel you know,

  247. far far for him. I even got pickpocketed and my

  248. phone got lost. Yeah, my car got stolen. You know,

  249. I've heard all these in between stories also, but I

  250. still press on fire, you know, crazy for Jesus, radical

  251. for him. Really, Yeah, there was twenty years ago, twenty

  252. years later where I am Now, I'm in the middle

  253. of my life. Like Noah, I realized it's not so

  254. easy to say yes to God because the questions, the demands,

  255. expectations are bigger. So as I'm preaching this to us,

  256. I'm preaching it to myself as well. Obey God in

  257. every season of our life. So I was very encouraged

  258. because Noah was at his mid life when he said

  259. yes to God in a big way to build an

  260. arc which was never done before. It's crazy later, show

  261. us a video of how the art might look like. Yeah,

  262. but young people, older people, will you say yes to

  263. Jesus at your stage of life? Yeah? I want to

  264. encourage us, especially the my peers, the older ones. I

  265. have no doubt in our younger days we will we

  266. say yes to Jesus easily. I have no doubt. We

  267. have great men and women of faith here. But where

  268. we are at in our lives, will we continue to

  269. say yes to Jesus even when the questions, the expectations,

  270. the demands are bigger and crazier and more impossible. God

  271. is asking you, my child, will you continue to say

  272. yes to me? Okay, I want to leave that with us.

  273. You know, by the way, Daniel when he was in

  274. the Lions, Daniel, And to guess how old he was?

  275. How old do you think Daniel was in the Lions

  276. than Anderson? Give a just give a try, give a try.

  277. Thirty nine good try Anderson, good try. Okay, Now, Daniel

  278. was thirty nine times too plus two when he was

  279. in the lions. That what is thirty nine times two?

  280. No?

  281. Okay, wait, thirty nine times two is seventy eight plus

  282. two eighty. Daniel was at least eighty years old when

  283. he was in the Lions, then, so you can forget

  284. about all the children's storybook that draw Daniel as a

  285. young honky man in the middle of the lions. Daniel

  286. was an old man in the middle of the lions.

  287. But he still say yes to God at eighty years old. Yes, God,

  288. I will seek you and pray to you three times

  289. a day, even if I'm gonna get caught and be

  290. put to death. So are we going to say yes

  291. to God at every season of our life. Let's never

  292. ever fall into the trap of thinking our prime is

  293. over again. I just feel like to speak to the

  294. older ones here, the younger ones. I'm not so worried

  295. because I know that it's relatively easier for you to

  296. be one for Jesus. It is the gift of youth.

  297. You say yes more easily true and not young people

  298. try not. Balaji also joining, sorry write Jeanes today. Ah,

  299. It's okay. I also wore Jeanes yesterday. But my fellow

  300. peers and my esteem brothers and sisters who are more

  301. matured than me, are we also going to continue to

  302. say yes to Jesus in our stage and season of life?

  303. Just like Noah midlife? He said yes. Daniel at eighty

  304. he said yes. Will we continue to say yes to

  305. Jesus as we grow on in life? Amen? That's something

  306. I'm gonna leave with us. Okay, Now, next point is okay,

  307. let's look at Genesis chapter six, verse five to verse nine.

  308. Genesis chapter six, verse five to verse nine, Genesis six

  309. five to nine. Okay, So I'm going to read this

  310. for us. The Lord saw that the wickedness of man

  311. was great in the earth, and that every intention of

  312. the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually, and

  313. the Lord regretted that he had made man on the earth,

  314. and it grieved him to his heart. So the Lord said,

  315. I will blot out man whom I have created from

  316. the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things,

  317. and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that

  318. I have made them. But Noah found favor in the

  319. eyes of the Lord Verse nine. These are the generations

  320. of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation,

  321. and Noah walked with God. You want to know the

  322. secret why Noah could say yes to building an arc

  323. an impossible feet in the middle of his life. How

  324. could Noah walk for God in such a crazy way.

  325. It's because Noah walk with God. From the days of

  326. his youth. Noah walked with God, and so when it

  327. was time for God to ask him to do something

  328. big for him, he could say yes. I'm sure he

  329. also had his struggles, but at the end of the day,

  330. he chose to say yes because he had been walking

  331. with God before that, and he had learned to say

  332. yes at every step, growing yeses so much so that

  333. when it came for a big yeares he could handle it.

  334. Seem like King David. It's not like he was suddenly

  335. born you know, a what they call a champion slinger.

  336. Overnight he had to practice while taking care of his

  337. father's sheep, practice slinging practice, killing the lion and the bear,

  338. the wolf. And when it came to face God live,

  339. he was ready because he was already practicing. And so

  340. let's continue to practice our obedience by walking with God.

  341. That one day when God really asked us to do

  342. something quite big, that it won't come as a surprise

  343. or shock, but we can handle it because we've been

  344. walking with God. We've been practicing obedience in little steps

  345. that we can walk for him. We can say yes

  346. God for that big step. Amen. Amen. So that's the

  347. next point, okay, And so when I talk about are

  348. you walking with God, it really comes back to the basics.

  349. It's good that you're in Sundays, you're in church on

  350. Sundays like now, this this is good, but this is

  351. not enough. Friends, It's good that you're joined homes. I

  352. heard cy six at Amazing Homes yesterday. It was supernatural, right.

  353. I heard drama man supposed to go outdoors for homes

  354. and then the weather just turn But you know, you

  355. prayed and then God turned the weather back. Yes, and

  356. I saw yourselfie even was that I saw? I saw

  357. most of you there, most of you there? Well done?

  358. You know. Yeah, going to homes is good, but it's

  359. not enough. Friends, it's not enough. It's not enough. You know.

  360. Joining different events in church is good, but it's not enough.

  361. You need a personal work with Jesus. You cannot just

  362. have a public war with Jesus. You need a personal

  363. walk with Jesus. Really, Friends, in this coming year, let's

  364. desire and let's strive at deepening, strengthening our personal work

  365. with Jesus. Are we making time to spend with God

  366. every day? Are we making time to read His word

  367. every day or listen to His word? Some of you

  368. prefer audio Bible, that's fine as well. Are we making

  369. time to pray to God every day? And ask him? God, Actually,

  370. what do you want me to do with my life?

  371. I've got so many plans on my life, but what

  372. do you really want me to do? So, friends, I

  373. want to encourage you, please continue to grow and build

  374. your personal walk with Jesus daily, because when you walk

  375. with God, you can walk for God. But if you

  376. don't walk with God, it's very hard for you to

  377. walk for God. You can have the form but no substance.

  378. We want you to have the substance and the firm Amen. Okay.

  379. Now the third point. The third point is when we

  380. obey God, we open the doors for others to know him.

  381. Obey open, obey open. When we obey God, we automatically

  382. open the doors for others to know him. I am

  383. going to Okay, you can take this down. Genesis chapter six,

  384. verse eleven to twenty two. Genesis chapter six, verse eleven

  385. to twenty two. Okay, you know. Genesis chapter six, verse eleven. Sorry.

  386. Genesis chapter six, verse fourteen to verse twenty one. Verse

  387. fourteen to verse twenty one gives us God's very detailed

  388. instructions to Noah how to build the up. Okay. Verse fourteen,

  389. it says, make yourself an art of go for wood. Right,

  390. So God told Noah what type of wood to use.

  391. Verse fifteen. You know, God gave the measurements. The length

  392. must be three hundred cubits, The breath must be fifty

  393. quo bits, the height must be thirty cubits. God gave

  394. the measurements, and then verse sixteen, God gave more detail

  395. on how to build the ark. Right says make a

  396. roof for the arc, and finish it to a cubit

  397. above and set the door of the arc in its side.

  398. Make it with a lower, second and third dex y.

  399. It's a tree story boat, you know. Yeah. And then

  400. after that verse nineteen, God says, and of every living

  401. thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every

  402. sort into the ark to keep them alive with you.

  403. They shall be male and female. Right, and just stopping

  404. at this point. But do you know that for the

  405. unclean animals, yes, Noah had to bring two of each kind,

  406. one male, one female. But did you know that for

  407. the clean animals he had to bring more than two

  408. of each kind, seven of each kind? Correct? Because after

  409. the flood settled, Noah built an altar and second grifice

  410. the clean animals to the Lord. So if you need

  411. to bring two, then gone no more clean animals after

  412. the sacrifice. So again our correction two Bible, Children's Bible

  413. story books. Yes, it's not just two of every kind,

  414. it's two of every unclean kind of animal, seven of

  415. the clean animals, because part of the seven was sacrificed

  416. after the flood came down. Okay, so it's important to

  417. get some of these details, right, Like Daniel wasn't a

  418. young man in the den, Noah didn't just bring two

  419. of each kind. I think we kind of grow up

  420. with some of these misconceptions, but it's important to get

  421. the word of God accurate, okay and true. Okay, And

  422. then I want to jump to verse twenty two, Chapter six,

  423. Verse twenty two. It says Noah did this, he did

  424. all that God commanded him. Genesis six to Noah did this,

  425. he did all. Everybody say, oh that God commanded him.

  426. This is the first mention of obedience in the Bible,

  427. Genesis six twenty two, where it was written of a

  428. man that he did all that God commanded him to.

  429. This is the first mention. Okay. Now, it was a

  430. crazy task to build an arc in that day and age.

  431. Apparently in that day and age, I don't know. Some

  432. scholars say that rain has never come on the earth

  433. at that time. Some scholars say or the earth had

  434. already experienced rain. But we're not here to debate whether

  435. or not there was rain at the time of Noah.

  436. But whatever we do know is that no one has

  437. ever built an arc at that time. No one has

  438. any idea or any clue about an arc that we

  439. are sure now you want to know how crazy the

  440. arc is to be built at that time and also

  441. at this time, let's have a look at the video. Yeah,

  442. on the screen, So this is, okay, a preliud to

  443. this video. This guy called mister Canham. He's a Christian

  444. and he's a man from the US, and he built

  445. a life size Noah's Ark in the state of Kentucky

  446. and he turned it into like a museum and I

  447. don't know, a theme park, but basically, he wanted to

  448. show the world what a real life size Noah's looked

  449. like outside and inside, so that people can visualize the

  450. world of God better and believe in it. That more

  451. may know, that all may know. Okay, so let's have

  452. a look at this video.

  453. That about your plans to build the arm. And then

  454. the day came and I finally made it over and

  455. I rounded that corner.

  456. And I actually saw it. I mean, it's.

  457. Overwhelming, and you even you know, when you look at pictures,

  458. you can't you just can't appreciate the size. And not

  459. going to show people pictures.

  460. I have to zoom in and say those are people there,

  461. Let's say they look like ants.

  462. They're even being you know, well, think about believe it's

  463. one to half time, will lead to the football feel

  464. the time, the witness of the football a feeling as

  465. three point three million of both data came out, So

  466. five hundred and ten people wrong, any five people on

  467. fifty one people? So grab level here they say there's

  468. people will get.

  469. Grab level to the tumbler root of seven stories. But

  470. to the tumb of the valad there's ten door the

  471. big what.

  472. Foll tim of brain structure. Well, I want to look

  473. at all that, So let's go inside can and I

  474. want you to. I want you to take in some

  475. of your famite sentis and help people understand why it

  476. is you put this thing up.

  477. Okay, so.

  478. The last factor just keeps increasing, so it tells what's

  479. going on, but stills off. You can hear in the background,

  480. can I that I haven't see a lot now saying

  481. there he is trusting made voyage now to go or

  482. to either protects them. It's it's interesting because I think

  483. people think no one just.

  484. Threw a lunch of animals on the arm. They just

  485. kind of ran around in this open bay.

  486. But I mean this is sophisticated, you know, there's a

  487. there's a feeding system, there's order.

  488. In fact, they get exhibits to it.

  489. How they could have adopt them and faith then be

  490. able to take away the ways? Right, but let's keep going. Okay,

  491. what else is going on down here? I've seen signed

  492. all the rentals of the art and have the order

  493. times and I'm looking here at the seton flot time.

  494. You know, when we did the research, what.

  495. Do you want to answer the question? I heard people

  496. thinking in terms of the species, today's species the Bible says,

  497. and so here on the first day we started to

  498. introduce that idea home people understanding kinder species, lots of

  499. species with the representatives of the kind, probably the family classification,

  500. and then you have aspeciation. Since then, what people that

  501. they realized the end we think, Wow, you could fidel

  502. clients of the land and a represented time.

  503. I remember sometimes okay, all right, wow, so is it

  504. quite mind blowing to see an arc? You know? So

  505. this was how break Noah's up would have been. He

  506. built it according to the measurements given in the world

  507. of God, even tree flaws. And how they store the animals,

  508. how they feed them, how they take away their waste,

  509. how they had, you know, made space for the humans

  510. and all. So men, can you if God asked you

  511. to build this up today, will you say yes or not? Today? Today? Ah, Today,

  512. will you say yes or not? Can you imagine? How

  513. did Noah say yes? Back in those days? Noah was

  514. only the ninth generation of human beings. He was from Adam.

  515. He was the ninth generation, so still very early on

  516. in the history of mankind. They probably didn't have much

  517. resources and ability or even people around. How did he

  518. say yes? Super super crazy? Right? But it just shows

  519. his faith, his obedience to God. Back then, it was

  520. already crazy enough. I mean, right now, it's really crazy

  521. enough to build such an arc. I also probably wouldn't

  522. say yes to God at first, but back then it

  523. was even crazier to build this ark. But Noah did

  524. all that God had commanded him to do. So I

  525. want to encourage your friends. What is the arc that

  526. God is asking you to build? At your stage of life?

  527. Christine at your stage of life, mister Dunn, wh at

  528. your stage of life, and the whole Yes at your

  529. stage of life, even at your stage of life, Raiser

  530. at your stage of life, Meo, at your stage of life,

  531. literit at your stage of life, Sesse, What arc is

  532. God asking you to build at your stage of life life?

  533. And will you say yes like Noah did. That's his

  534. encouragement question and challenge to each one of us. I'm

  535. sorry I cannot call it all your names. I wish

  536. I could, but church will not end by tild for

  537. gold if I did that. But yo, Noah, God knows

  538. you and calls you by name, all right? And yes,

  539. So if Noah didn't obey God, you and I would

  540. not exist today because mankind would have been wiped out

  541. by the nine generation of human beings. But because Noah

  542. obeyed God, and so did many other men and women

  543. along the way obey God. If you look at the

  544. genealogy of Jesus, and their obedience opened the door for

  545. us to know Jesus now in this day and age.

  546. Because Noah was obedient, we are here today and we

  547. can know Jesus. Because all the different and women in

  548. the Bible will obedien. We are here today and we

  549. can know Jesus. So are we also going to be

  550. obedient so that others can also know Jesus. That's my

  551. challenge and encouragement to us today. Okay. Now, the fourth

  552. point is following God's timing is an important part of

  553. obeying him. So this is a This is a caution

  554. that I want to bring to us. The first three

  555. points are to rarah y'are to obey God. Come on, Church,

  556. Let's obey God at every season of our life. Yes,

  557. you know, let's obey him so that others can know him.

  558. How do we obey him when we walk with him?

  559. But I want to caution us to really follow God's timing.

  560. God's timing is very important in his kingdom. We live

  561. in a physical world that is big on chronous timing.

  562. Tick doc thick doc ti doct. This analogue timing or

  563. digital timing that we have is and this natural timing

  564. that passes us now is the chronous timing is the

  565. natural timing, the logical timing. But you know, God's kingdom

  566. doesn't operate in chronos timing. God's kingdom operates in a

  567. higher and greater timing. It's called the Chiros timing. Chiros

  568. timing doesn't go tick doc doc dog like our human timing.

  569. Chiros timing is God's appointed timing and God's anointed timing,

  570. and so it's very important that as we obey God,

  571. we got to do lean into God and say, God,

  572. when do you want me to do this? Do you

  573. want me to do it now? Do you want me

  574. to do it later? When do you want me to

  575. do this for you? It's very important, okay because when

  576. we read the life of Noah, after he built the Ark,

  577. he didn't know when to go into the ark because

  578. he didn't know when the rain and the flood was

  579. going to come. So he had to wait for God's

  580. timing to say okay. In verse in Genesis chapter seven,

  581. verse one. Genesis chapter seven, verse one, then the Lord

  582. said to Noah, go into the Ark, you and all

  583. your household okay. And so Noah had to wait for

  584. God's timing to go into the ark because only God

  585. knew when the rain and flood was going to come.

  586. Didn't And when Noah was in the ark with his

  587. family and the animals, guess how long he was they

  588. were locked down in the ak. How long do you

  589. think they were in the ac? Seven days? Okay? Good?

  590. Try shlock anyone else? Want to try? How long do

  591. you think Noah and his family and the animals were

  592. in the ac? Ninety days? Okay? Also good try is sir,

  593. ten days, good try and persun. Yes I did forty days. Okay,

  594. good try, good try, or I love it how the

  595. young people are just trying very good. See I told

  596. you young people you can say yes to Jesus. Wow. Okay,

  597. Mathias got it the closest. Okay. So Noah was in

  598. the ark for one year, three hundred and sixty five

  599. days and a quarter. Technically, yes, yes, that's right to

  600. the point. Okay, Noah and his family and the animals

  601. were in the art for one full year. They were

  602. locked down, literally for one full year. So talk about mcoh.

  603. They had the first mco not just with humans, you know,

  604. with animals and all the waste at least mc oh. Right,

  605. you live with humans and you can throw away the wist,

  606. and the rubbish men will still come and take your waist.

  607. But for Noah, he lived with animals and all the

  608. waste was contained in the ark. Can you believe that

  609. one year you cannot throw your rubbish out of the house.

  610. You have to find a way to store your rubbish

  611. in the house, right, crazy? But anyway, they had the

  612. first lockdown, Okay, ours is not the first lockdown. So

  613. they were in the art one year, and when did

  614. they know when to come out of the ark? Right?

  615. God had to tell them, this is when you come

  616. out of the ark. So if you look at Genesis,

  617. chapter eight, verse thirteen, it says in the six hundred

  618. and first year, in the first month, the first day

  619. of the month, the waters were dried from off the earth,

  620. and Noah removed the covering of the ark, and look

  621. and behold, the face of the ground was dry. Now

  622. before that, right, Noah actually did a little research. You remember,

  623. he sent the dirf out. Then he sent the raven

  624. out to test and see whether the ground was dry

  625. so that they can come out. Noah also did some research.

  626. And it's okay to do some research as human beings,

  627. and when it's the best time, you know, to do something.

  628. Because Noah also did his research. He sent out the Dirth,

  629. he sent out the raven. But ultimately, what I take

  630. encouragement from Noah is even though he did his research,

  631. he still depended on God's voice when was the right

  632. time to come out of the ark. So we can

  633. do all the research that we want, but let not

  634. our research supersed the voice of God in obeying him.

  635. We can do research, but let God be the ultimate

  636. guide and decision maker. Even if all the research points

  637. to something that we should do. Now, if God says no,

  638. don't do it, wait, we better wait. If all the

  639. research says don't do this, but God says do it,

  640. we better do it. You get what I mean. We

  641. can do our research. God gave us brains, all right,

  642. but God's voice and God's word superseds every research. Can

  643. I hear an? Amen? Amen? Okay? So finally you know, yeah,

  644. let me see you, okay, Verse fourteen, Verse fifteen. Then

  645. God said to Noah, go out from the ark, you

  646. and your wife, and your sons and your son's wives

  647. with you, okay, And then I'll jump to verse eighteen.

  648. So Noah went out, his sons, his wife, and his

  649. son's wives and all the animals as well. So let's

  650. learn from Noah's life to depend on God's timing to

  651. obey him. We can do our research, but let God

  652. have the final say when to go and when to stay,

  653. when to do and when to not do. Amen? Amen? Okay.

  654. Now I just want to share a quick story with

  655. us and then we will end with this. So let's

  656. see ya. Now is November October September August, three months ago.

  657. Three months ago, our family made a short trip to

  658. Krabi in Thailand. What was good to bless us with

  659. that trip? And yeah, so we went, and honestly, I

  660. was just really really busy before the trip that I

  661. didn't have any capacity to plan for the trip. All

  662. we did was just block the dates, buy the tickets,

  663. book the hotel. That's it. The rest what we're going

  664. to do there. I just didn't have the capacity to plan.

  665. But I remember on the way there, I just told God, God,

  666. thank you for this trip. Just take over from now on,

  667. please be our master planner, planer itinerary for us. And

  668. that was a dangerous prayer to pray, but it was good.

  669. It was good, Okay, it was good. So what happened

  670. was when we landed, the taxi that we took from

  671. the airport to the hotel actually detoured by a tour agency.

  672. So apparently his friend just started her own tour agency

  673. and he wanted to support her business, so he brought

  674. us to the tour agency. And we thank God for

  675. that blessing in disguise, because then she could actually recommend

  676. us some things to do for the next few days.

  677. So after negotiating, we felt peace. We actually took some

  678. of the packages right. So we were in Thailand for

  679. five days. So the first day was arrival and then

  680. we went to the we stopped by the tour agency.

  681. The second day we went island hopping, so we actually

  682. took a boat out and visited different islands. Did I

  683. tell y'all the last time what happened? Okay, So I'm

  684. not gonna go into that today. So the second day

  685. you heard the story the last time. We were supposed

  686. to go out to the islands and it was raining,

  687. but God turned the weather around just like c y

  688. six homes and then we managed to go island hopping

  689. and on the way back there was a bad storm,

  690. but God brought us through the storm and that's how

  691. he can give us rest in the middle of the storm,

  692. and it brought us back safely. That was day two,

  693. Day Tree. Now I'm gonna tell you the story of

  694. Day Tree. Day Tree. We went to the jungle. We

  695. went to the jungle and we went to visit different

  696. natural watering holes in the jungle, so like, for example,

  697. we visited the hot spring. Then we visited an emerald lake,

  698. which looked ameral in color because of the moss that

  699. was growing in the lake. And then we visited this

  700. blue lagoon. It's a little a small little pool in

  701. the middle of the jungle that had a blue color base.

  702. Cay can show the picture this one with a blue

  703. color base at the back. I think not that one.

  704. Just keep going, keep going, yeah, past past pus. We've

  705. already talked about this the last this one. So this

  706. is the blue lagoon. You see that blueish looking pool

  707. at the back of us. So that was really quite special.

  708. The base of the pool looked like blue color chalk. Ah,

  709. And when you clap from a distance, the water will

  710. actually ripple. Yeah, but you cannot jump into the pool

  711. because it's quicksand at the bottom you might get sucked

  712. in and disappear or drowned. Okay, so nice to see,

  713. but cannot touch a But okay, So this was day

  714. tree we went to the jungle. Very interesting. I've not

  715. seen this in Malaysia yet. Now, can me show the

  716. picture of the lady? So okay, while we were in

  717. the van going to this area, a lady came to

  718. sit next to me and I honestly was wishing that

  719. no one would come and sit next to me for

  720. that trip, because, like I said, I was just very

  721. busy leading up to the trip, so I just wanted

  722. to have some me time, some you know, quiet time

  723. where I don't really need to talk to anyone too much. Yeah.

  724. But then she came and sit next to me, and

  725. after a while, I felt the Holy Spirit really just

  726. prompting me to make friends with her. So at first

  727. I struggled a bit because I'm like, God, I just

  728. want to rest during these holiday It's just been so

  729. busy for me, right, And then he says, no, you know,

  730. please go and make friends with her. So I made

  731. friends with her and we started talking all the way

  732. to the jungle, so it was one and a half

  733. hour journey. We got to know each other and I

  734. found out that her name is Nicole, and she's actually

  735. from Spain, and not actually from Germany but staying in Spain.

  736. And she's a mom like me. She has a teenage boy,

  737. and she said that actually she came to Thailand with

  738. her boy for their school break for him to learn

  739. muy Thai. Wow. Oh, it's quite crazy. I've never heard

  740. of like people traveling half the world just to learn

  741. moy Thai in Thailand. So apparently it's quite a thing,

  742. like tourists who actually travel from Fine White just to

  743. join in the local muy Thai pros. So her son

  744. really wanted to learn that muay Thai. They had planned

  745. to be in Thailand for a few weeks and just

  746. I think a few days before we met. On that trip,

  747. the boy was having his first class, first muay Thai class,

  748. and unfortunately he sprained his back during the muay Thai class.

  749. The first lesson, he already sprained his back, and then

  750. that's it. He had to throw away the rest of

  751. the lessons that they booked, and then he of course

  752. he's very disappointed, Lah, very very because he came all

  753. the way from Spain to Thailand to learn muay Thai

  754. and first visit already gone. The bag is gone. Not

  755. only that he had to live with the pain, so

  756. he had to visit a few doctors to get the

  757. pain managed in that sense, so he was really disappointed, Lah,

  758. and physically he was in pain also, So this trip

  759. actually wasn't meant to be. They didn't book in a

  760. jungle trip. They were supposed to be in the muay

  761. Thai gym. But because of all that happened, they had

  762. to do something else with the time because they're already here, right,

  763. So they booked in this jungle trip. And I really

  764. believe God allowed things to happen so that we could

  765. meet together on the vent and so we had so yeah,

  766. we got to know each other for that one and

  767. a half hours to the jungle. Then after that coming back,

  768. we spoke for another one and a half hours, and

  769. when we just about ten minutes away from the hotel,

  770. God actually told me to pray for her. And again

  771. I kind of struggled loud because I'm like, God, I

  772. just got to know her. It's like, wouldn't be it'd

  773. be a bit too quick to just pray for her.

  774. But you know, again got on, Yeah, got on in

  775. my wrestling with him, and so I say, okay, I

  776. told her Nicole, I'm actually I mean from our conversation,

  777. you know that I'm a Christian and I walked with

  778. God every day and I hear his voice clearly. So

  779. God is telling me to pray for you before we

  780. go our separate ways from the van. And I was

  781. ready for a big rejection, but she said the opposite.

  782. She says, please pray for me. So I was very surprised,

  783. but I knew it's God like God. So then I

  784. prayed for her. And thank God, we had that three

  785. hour conversation in the van, so I knew, like, what

  786. are some of the areas that she needed prayer with?

  787. And so the Holy Spirit just led me to pray

  788. for her based on our conversation her different needs, and

  789. he also led me to prophesy over her life, so

  790. over and beyond God ministering and meeting her needs, God

  791. you know, wanted to declare, you know, just more than

  792. what she could ever expect or ask for over her life.

  793. So I did that then. So the whole prayer time

  794. was probably about ten minutes, and we were just closing

  795. our eyes and just I was holding her hands in

  796. the van. And after we finished praying in Jesus Name,

  797. I pray Amen, we both opened our eyes and we

  798. looked up and she was actually in tears. She was

  799. in tears, and she also said, you know, Jill, I

  800. don't know, but can you see my hand? I say, okay,

  801. I can see your hand. Can you see the hair

  802. on my hand? And I'm like trying to look at

  803. the hair on the hand, and she says, it's standing.

  804. I'm feeling goose bumbs right now because I feel God

  805. with us right now. And I said, I'm not surprised.

  806. I say that's the God that I serve. He is

  807. close with us right here in this van. And I say,

  808. that's God for you. And before we departed, I actually

  809. told her again, this is led by the Holy Spirit.

  810. You know, Nicole, I don't believe that I came all

  811. the way from Malaysia and you came all the way

  812. from Spain and we met in the vent today. I

  813. don't believe it's a coincidence. I really don't. I really

  814. believe that God orchestrated our meetup today because he's calling

  815. you back to his side now. Before we prayed, I

  816. actually asked Nicole, do you have any personal faith? And

  817. she said, actually, I was born in a Protestant Christian

  818. family in Germany, and we grew up going to church.

  819. But after I became a university student and I got married,

  820. I was working, I got busy with life, I stopped

  821. going to church and I actually went away from God. Yeah,

  822. so that was her background. And after we prayed and

  823. I told her this, I said, Nicole, I really believe

  824. God is calling you back to his side through our

  825. meetup today, and she says, I think so too. And

  826. then after that she began to ask me more about

  827. our church. And that was the weekend that ex Germany

  828. was going to be launched, and so I connected her

  829. with Doris and yeah, so I still have a WhatsApp

  830. number here with me and trying to check in with

  831. her from time to time, keeping her in prayer. But

  832. again this just goes to show you know that we

  833. follow God's timing. We follow God's timing. My family had

  834. to follow God's timing. Her family had to follow God's timing.

  835. And we met at the Cairo's time, the appointed time,

  836. and I had to obey him, to be bold to

  837. make friends with her, to be bold to offer to

  838. pray for her, to be bold to speak into her

  839. life saying what God wants me to say to her.

  840. And because of that, I really believe a seat is

  841. planted in her life to draw her back to His side.

  842. And so this story I leave you this story just

  843. to share that when we obey God, when we follow

  844. his timing, it opens doors for others to come to

  845. know Him or come back to him. You know, even

  846. as we reach out to people to help them to

  847. know him, let's not just keep our eyes on people

  848. who do not know Him entirely, but let's also be

  849. open to people who have once known Him but have

  850. gone away from him, because God wants to bring them

  851. back to his side as well, not just the pre believers,

  852. but those who have one's believe and gone away, just

  853. like Nicole. And so I'm so thankful to have this

  854. experience and testimony as really strengthen my faith to be morbile,

  855. to make friends, to offer prayer, to speak into people's

  856. lives as the Holy Spirit leads me after having you know,

  857. tasted the fruit of obedience, and I believe this is

  858. just the tip of the iceberg. I continue to pray

  859. and look forward to what God is going to do

  860. in Nicole's life even after our encounter. So I pray

  861. that you know extreme you can come up. Even as

  862. we draw to a close. I pray that friends, you

  863. will choose to obey God in your season of life,

  864. and I pray that you know you will be able

  865. to do so because you walk with Him and you

  866. were leaning on his timing. And when you obey God

  867. May He use you to open the doors of many

  868. hearts around you, to know him or to come back

  869. to him. Amen. Amen, let's stand. We're gonna close his

  870. time and pray. So obey, my friends, obey that all

  871. may know. We hope you've been blessed by this message.
