  1. You're listening to a message to go from AXT church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Okay, let's get into the world this morning.

  4. It will be because it's missions months in a sense.

  5. All right, August. Uh.

  6. In XT we we kind of just emphasize on missions,

  7. all right, because that's the first priority, uh, you know,

  8. to the Lord. And we used to call it first

  9. Priority conference. The Missions Conference was used to know as

  10. used to be known as first priority conference.

  11. Uh.

  12. And but now just go back to Missions conference, all right,

  13. but it's still the same thing. It's still our first

  14. priority to make disciples of all nations.

  15. Amen.

  16. So uh yeah, So that's the title I have today,

  17. all right. Uh, somebody do with missions. But yeah, it's

  18. the mission that we have, all right. Is it a

  19. mission good slicer?

  20. All right? Okay?

  21. Is it a mission to complain? Or is it a

  22. mission for compassion?

  23. All right?

  24. So, but then this is from complain to compassion, From

  25. complain to compassion. It's from the Book of Jeremiah chapter twelve.

  26. Amen.

  27. Uh yeah, passa sendra reminded us, you know, as speakers, Hey,

  28. you got to focus on missions, all right, you goes

  29. focus on the Holy Spirit this in your messages this time,

  30. and I looked at Jeremiah again. I looked at Jeremiah

  31. twelve again, and there is a point there about missions.

  32. Amen. So yeah, I continued with Jeremiah.

  33. Okay, So anyway, let's get into this Jeremiah twelve, verse

  34. one two three, or is one to four?

  35. I think it's one to four.

  36. Jeremiah twelve one to four let's read together, goes like this,

  37. righteous are you, o Lord? When I complain to you?

  38. Yet I would plead my case before you. Why does

  39. the way of the wicked prosper? Why do all who

  40. are treacherous thrive?

  41. All right? And then verse two, let's go on.

  42. You plant them, and they take root, they grow and

  43. produce fruit. You are near in their mouth and far

  44. from their heart. But you, o Lord, know me. You

  45. see me, and test my heart toward you. Pull them

  46. out like sheep for the slaughter, and set them apart

  47. for the day of slaughter. How long will the land mourn,

  48. and the grass of every field with a for the

  49. evil of those who dwell in it? The beasts and

  50. the birds are swept away because they said he will

  51. not see our letter.

  52. End.

  53. All right, let's stop here for a while. First four

  54. versus what's happening here? What's happening here? Jeremiah is complaining, right,

  55. because if it's found in the first first few verses

  56. there already righteous?

  57. Are you Lord? When I complain to you? All right?

  58. And uh, you know.

  59. Many times a right we that's that's that's very usual,

  60. right for many people, many of us, when we are

  61. faced with trouble, when we're faced with challenges, when we're

  62. faced with something that looks so difficult, and you, honestly,

  63. you know, if you're honest to yourself, you go like

  64. you will, you will go like I can't I can't

  65. do this, I can't reach that, I can't achieve this,

  66. all right, whatever there's that it was told to me.

  67. I can't do this. It looks so impossible. I'm hitting

  68. a wall, all right. Maybe because many many reasons, when

  69. many yeah, reasons for it. Maybe it could be I

  70. don't have the skill for it. I like the skill

  71. for it, I don't have time right to practice to

  72. do I just have not done it before. I'm not

  73. used to it, right, anyone you understand what I'm talking about.

  74. There's some things you know that you just feel like

  75. it looks really a little bit impossible for me to do.

  76. I feel so scared, fear, I feel afraid to do it.

  77. So what we do?

  78. Sometimes, I mean most times it comes into like why why,

  79. you know, why.

  80. They gave me this job? Why did they ask me

  81. to do this? Why? God are you telling me to do?

  82. Why am I in this position? I can't.

  83. I feel so helpless, I feel so down, you know,

  84. and so complain right, so you know, I'm just okay,

  85. just looking back at what Jeremiah is complaining about. He's

  86. complaining about wicked people, the evil people, and it's I see,

  87. why is it like that? Why do I see these

  88. wicked people and they are getting blessed. They look like

  89. they're getting blessed, they are getting good things, all right.

  90. I tell you a true story. Yesterday night, I was

  91. in I was buying you know, bread in Speedmark, and

  92. I was just looking for I was looking for sugars,

  93. looking for sugar, squatting down. Then I heard there was

  94. a mom speaking with a boy. He's kind of like

  95. maybe a teenager, right, looks like a school going teenager,

  96. maybe fourteen, fifteen years old. And as she was saying something,

  97. I heard from his mouth bad words coming off his

  98. mouth talking to his mom. I'm like, and I turned

  99. because it sounds like a kid's voice, you know, like

  100. a teenager's voice. And I was just waiting for like

  101. a reaction, like what's the mom going to say? She

  102. said nothing, She just carry on like as usual. And

  103. then I heard it again, and I heard it again.

  104. He said it a few times. I thought, I mean,

  105. I thought, like, am I hearing wrong? But I looked

  106. at I looked at him, and he saw me looking

  107. at him, and I look forward to it. I didn't

  108. want to stay too long. Then it went on, and

  109. then I then when I lined up to pay, they

  110. were there as well, about to pay. And this guy

  111. was just going on about, you know, just completing stuff

  112. right in front of everybody, loudly, and.

  113. The mom just led him.

  114. And then I noticed them and they were, you know,

  115. the mom was wearing a lot of blink, a lot

  116. of blink, right, And then I saw them going into

  117. a car, expensive car, all right, and there it's like, right,

  118. I mean, a stereotype deviline, you know, but rich.

  119. Allowed to do anything.

  120. Speak however, so anyway that it related to whatever that

  121. Jerimiah was saying.

  122. These people right speaking like that.

  123. I mean, hello, I would not allow that to happen

  124. in my family, man, Right, one bad word comes out

  125. and that's it, right, that's it.

  126. The conversation stops.

  127. Right, We're going home straight and see what happens at home, right,

  128. See what happens. I can't I can't really say much

  129. to you in public now, but see what happens at home, right, right,

  130. and all the parents say, thank God, all our kids here,

  131. they're wonderful kids. Yeah, they speak well and that you

  132. know that they're thought they learn from the word of God.

  133. So no, no, that's ever are gonna take place all

  134. right among us here.

  135. But yeah, I'm like wow, what.

  136. I was just shocked, all right, and so anyway, but

  137. then I go like, yeah, how come these people so prosperous,

  138. so prosperous, big cars, bling and stuff, and probably many

  139. more other things that you know, unimaginable and so uh

  140. So the same question here Jeremiah is asking how can

  141. so the wicked people, the evil people prosper right, uh

  142. and uh Then at the same time he kind of

  143. just kind of compared himself, right, he said, I mean,

  144. look at me, God, I I am you know, you

  145. see my heart. Yeah, and uh, you know, but you know,

  146. I don't know, you know, how much can we do

  147. that as well?

  148. All right?

  149. Sometimes we we put on you know, with we speak

  150. of ourselves so well, all right, and so self righteously.

  151. But uh, I mean we're all we're all sinners, we're

  152. all struggling, right, and so should we continue to complain

  153. about these rich people, these prosperous people that are wicked?

  154. All right? So yeah, I think we can all relate

  155. with Jeremiah. Let me say that. But look at lets God,

  156. we're going to church. You know, we are good people.

  157. Right, we sin less, sin less, all right, we don't

  158. use the bad words outright, it's all in our head,

  159. right right, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, we all can

  160. relate to that. And he says, he goes on, you know,

  161. he says, send them to the slaughter. Whoa this one

  162. big controversial now right and send the slaughter you know why,

  163. because he was he went through something like that. He

  164. went through so much torture from these people, and so

  165. he said, like God, then now it is the atern

  166. I've gone through it. It's the altern and I'm a

  167. good guy. How about them? How can they just walk freely.

  168. Right.

  169. Yeah, but I mean I do believe, you know, we

  170. all have something to surrender, We all have something that

  171. needs to be dealt with.

  172. Yeah.

  173. I mean those guys are doing a little bit more,

  174. but we also have something that we need to deal with.

  175. Amen.

  176. But so yeah, complaining, So complaining is going on. And

  177. as I mentioned earlier, you know about something that we

  178. feel that we can't achieve, and we you know, we

  179. are complaining. Let's go on, Let's go on, Let's go on,

  180. because God replies. So what is God's reply? Right, I

  181. know I put their Philippines two fourteen to fifteen.

  182. Let's just read that.

  183. It reminds us do all things without grumbling or disputing,

  184. that you may be blameless and innocent children of God,

  185. without blemish, in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation,

  186. among whom you shine as lights in the world. So

  187. this already is showing us the reason why we are here,

  188. in this broken world, in this damaged world.

  189. All right, that is.

  190. All right, in the midst of this crooked and twisted

  191. it says, here generation, all right, and how it shows

  192. us how we should go about it, all right, our grumbling,

  193. our complaining, all right, should should stop. It says here,

  194. do it without complaining, do it without grumbling. I know

  195. it looks unfair. I know it looks like difficult, all right,

  196. But the word of God tells us, it teaches us here,

  197. don't do it with grumbling, all right. And the only

  198. way to do that really is by the power of

  199. the Holy Spirit. We cannot do without grumbling on our own,

  200. you know, by our own sure grumbler, sure complain flesh,

  201. all right. But by God's Holy Spirit, he will teach us.

  202. He will show us how not to grumble. He will

  203. help us not to grumble because we're doing it for him.

  204. If we do it for him, what's what's there?

  205. Grumble? It is worship. It is praise.

  206. You know, when you do your work, when we do

  207. our homework, when we do our when we do the

  208. difficult things that were given to us. Say, God is

  209. so hard, it's challenging. But you know I'm gonna do

  210. it for you, and Holy Spirit help me. Hey, it's

  211. going to be different. It's going to change. Things are

  212. going to change.

  213. Amen. So Lujah, praise God for this word.

  214. Now go on, let's go on to Jeremiah again twelve

  215. verse fifteen. So This is God's answer to Jeremiah and

  216. to us. What does it say if you have raced

  217. with men on foot and they have wearied you, how

  218. will you compete with horses? It's got a replier. And

  219. if in a safe land you are so trusting, what

  220. will you do in the thicket of the Jordan?

  221. Posseo for a while? On this verse? All right?

  222. If you are running away or or racing with foot men,

  223. foot men, all right, people on the ground you can imagine,

  224. you know, like warriors who are on foot, all right,

  225. and you are racing against them, and you are already

  226. troubled by that. Then God is asking the day will come,

  227. there will be more challenge horsemen people on horses. How

  228. are you gonna compete with them? How are you gonna

  229. face the bigger challenges in life? So he's giving you,

  230. He's giving Jeremiah an answer, said, why are you going

  231. through this? Why are you going through a world of

  232. wickedness and suffering? You know, although you try your best

  233. and you're doing what is good, all right, because it's

  234. a preparation. Everyone say preparation. We are being prepared for

  235. what's to come. So if this already we're complaining if

  236. this already, we are like, I can't. Then when the

  237. bigger things come, we won't be able to. God is

  238. saying you won't be able to. There's more coming, and

  239. he says, heah, you know what you're going through now

  240. here in this land. I'm telling you it's actually not

  241. too bad. Yeah it's not too bad. Yeah, we really

  242. we go it's quite horrible, right, torture Jeremiah. They're like

  243. not listening to him and stuff like that. But what

  244. is saying, this is actually not the worst because what's

  245. to come, which is they're going to be, you know,

  246. sent to Babylon. They were going to be exiled. They're

  247. going to be you know, brought over to another land

  248. where it's foreign. Where there it's not people of God anymore.

  249. All right, it's Babylon. Then he says, and he says,

  250. you know, it's going to be more the Thicket of

  251. Jordan speaks of because Jordan, I think I believe if

  252. I read correctly, it's something like a jungle. You know,

  253. it's there's wild animals there. It's going to be more challenging.

  254. All right, So let's let's talk about this a little

  255. bit more.

  256. Yeah, all right, me let me talk about some examples

  257. I want to tell you.

  258. Like, so I'm doing my master's right, Masters in education

  259. right now.

  260. Yeah. When I first started and I saw.

  261. The words that I need to write two thousand words essay,

  262. three thousand and right, I was afraid. I was like

  263. last time when I the last time I did essay

  264. was in high school. And it's like, what two hundred

  265. words around there? A few hundred words, a maximum five

  266. hundred words and uh right, and I go like, how

  267. do I write two thousand words?

  268. Right? How?

  269. What can I blaugh? What can I goring recorded about

  270. in Malay?

  271. You know?

  272. Goring is like going is like fry fry something, you know,

  273. fry food. How what can I fry to create two

  274. thousand words?

  275. Going?

  276. And so I had to use chet jipt a lot

  277. at that time because I, you know, I really had

  278. no idea how to write two thousand words. I thought

  279. I had no idea. But as I started doing, you know,

  280. and I went on and on. I think by now

  281. I did like more than ten assignments already, ten assignments

  282. two thousand words each. So how many words have I

  283. written to twenty thousand words? Whoa, it's crazy, but you

  284. know now I actually don't feel that fear anymore. Now

  285. I actually look at it two thousand only now that

  286. that lingo comes, Oh, two thousand only, all right?

  287. Fine.

  288. In fact, nowadays I will go like two thousand. That's

  289. not enough. That's not enough to express what I want

  290. to say about this assignment. It's not enough because sometimes

  291. they discount. As they discount, say like, oh, for this one,

  292. just write one thousand, five hundred.

  293. I will be like, we got enough.

  294. It's not enough to express the stuff that we need

  295. to say. Then I find myself writing like, man, this

  296. is only summary of what I want to say, because

  297. I have to keep it to that number. Otherwise they

  298. don't want to read, right, because the lecturers also have

  299. no time to read two thousand words from forty students, right,

  300. so they themselves gpt everything.

  301. And I'm just kidding.

  302. As biology, he will they will tell you, they will

  303. confess the methods. Okay, they got technology and that's proper,

  304. all right.

  305. So anyway, so yeah, I'm telling you so we can complain.

  306. Said, why two thousand words so difficult? But God's answer

  307. is like, if you can't even do two thousand words

  308. when the time comes, I'm going to ask you to

  309. write more how you're going to do it? And so

  310. you see that the two thousand was my ceiling, and.

  311. I was like, Clord, how to reach you? How to

  312. reach that?

  313. But by the time I did it by faith, just

  314. going for it, just do it right, it now has

  315. become my floor.

  316. And now I've got a new ceiling. Give me more.

  317. I'm not afraid.

  318. It's okay two thousand it's too little now suddenly all right?

  319. So yeah, encouragement to all of you are to do

  320. masters right, is it?

  321. But it's true. It's true, it's true. The feeling is real.

  322. I feel I don't feel like it's too much now

  323. two thousand.

  324. So that's one story I want to tell you.

  325. The other thing will be I want to I want

  326. to share about being on extreme, being on extreme, and

  327. I think you know, for many extremers here, musicians and

  328. maybe soon to be, you have not picked up an

  329. instrument yet. I want to tell you or sound right,

  330. picking up sound or whatever to serve you might feel

  331. afraid and go like, I.

  332. Don't even know what those things on these knobs? What theyfore?

  333. So many? How many? How many knobs are there? Look

  334. can't count there's so many knobs there, you know, how

  335. what what to turn?

  336. What to press? I'm afraid I pressed and.

  337. Then bus and you know everyone look at me. Right,

  338. So same thing instruments, you know. I want to tell

  339. you I started learning instruments, right. My parents forced me

  340. to learn piano like every Asian parent, like, must have

  341. pano class.

  342. Did you take a pano class? Now?

  343. I thought everyone had a piano class or guitar or whatever.

  344. So I was forced to piano class, taekwondo, war everything,

  345. and uh, but it's it's I don't know why when

  346. you forced you don't like it. So anyway, I just

  347. did it anyway, and uh, so I played. I did

  348. formal panal lessons. I took grade five. Then I really

  349. couldn't take it anymore. Like then somehow my mom felt

  350. it and she stopped me. All right, so I stopped

  351. doing uh until grade five. But then after they stopped

  352. you suddenly you.

  353. Want to learn.

  354. After it got stopped, then you.

  355. Want to learn.

  356. So I I I looked around and I've been I

  357. was at that time.

  358. It was generation X right.

  359. Then we hear bands or playing instruments and stuff, and

  360. my friends were in bands and so uh, you know,

  361. we started, you know, we started bands just simply start

  362. bands were knowing nothing, right started band. I joined a band,

  363. all right, and we were saying, like, hey, what we're

  364. going to do in a band, and they said, no,

  365. I do guitar.

  366. I do you know? I was singing, and then there

  367. was no drummer.

  368. I didn't know a single idea how to play a drum, okay,

  369. but I watched the guy playing in the video, and

  370. I go, okay, I'll do drums because I think I

  371. will would know how. So I picked it up somehow,

  372. and somehow it was able to play the drums and

  373. then picked up you know, guitar at the same time.

  374. You know, it's interesting.

  375. So we always start bands and then the band doesn't

  376. work out, you know, because a bunch of kids that

  377. don't know nothing and always arguing and stuff like that

  378. and goes nowhere. And so after you argue your breakup breakup,

  379. it's like like drama, you know, you like that drama.

  380. It's like, yeah, yeah, band is broken, right now, I'm

  381. going to join another band, gonna start another But.

  382. It's actually good learning, you know.

  383. I feel like I learned a lot of things doing that,

  384. Like guys, you know, like you know, quite like offended,

  385. like you know, guys, you leave your band, I leave

  386. my band, and so I. So when I left those bands,

  387. I started another band. So now in this other band,

  388. I started playing guitar, playing guitar, and then there was

  389. a singer. And so after we had again a fight,

  390. we left each other and left the band again.

  391. And now I started my own band.

  392. There's me myself, right, and I go like, no singer,

  393. So now I gotta sing. So I want to sing,

  394. but honestly speaking, at that time, I can't sing. I

  395. can't sing because when I started trying to hit those

  396. notes like, it sounds so bad. And then I started

  397. being so sad about myself because I can't sing and

  398. I can't have a band, and you know, just telling

  399. you my band life. And so this was all in

  400. you need m you and any more MMU students. They're

  401. all like leaving and stuff, right, Hey, we need more students.

  402. Let's let's get them in. So anyway, uh that's it,

  403. and and so I but but you know what, because

  404. I still love to play music, I just kept going.

  405. I kept going, screaming and pausing myself to sing and

  406. pushing and destroying my my vocal cards in some ways.

  407. And as I went on, uh, well that's okay, but

  408. you know what the best way to actually.

  409. Learn to sing is to join the church band.

  410. So as I started to come to church a little

  411. bit more, after you know, back sliding for so long

  412. trying to build my own band, I came out to

  413. the church, which is you know X Church. At the time,

  414. there was no ex cyber joined X Church in Suwangjaia.

  415. Powerful messages from Pasca Passsandra, you know, and the team there,

  416. and I, you know, decided to root down and be there,

  417. and then I signed up for the Extreme Bullship team.

  418. Signed up started by playing guitar. W I don't know

  419. where I started with choir. I don't know I was

  420. in a choir. Okay, you noticed, Okay, okay, okay, A right, okay, okay.

  421. I signed up to play guitar because I saw the

  422. guitar is so cool, electric guitars, I tell you, hey,

  423. we do that.

  424. Okay.

  425. I still have my electric guitar. I brought it back

  426. for recording recently. Yeah, thank god, thanks Adriel, just in time,

  427. just in time, perfect, okay, all right? Because I handed

  428. it to you was so rotten. It was so bad.

  429. So right, I gave it to Adriel. He fixed it

  430. for me.

  431. Just in time.

  432. We're recording songs right now in the studio. In the studio,

  433. just in time came together. Everything just came together at

  434. the right time, all right. Uh. And so anyway back

  435. to band. So I joined the church worship team play guitar.

  436. And after that, somehow there was a need for worship leaders,

  437. and so I stepped up.

  438. All right.

  439. I don't know how I got into worship leading la.

  440. I was singing here and there, and so when I

  441. started worship leading, I started worship leading. It was a

  442. struggle because a worship leader, you need to choose at

  443. least three of four songs, like Olivia did this morning,

  444. four songs, and then we've got to know the four songs.

  445. You got to know the four songs, all right. And

  446. all this time I always.

  447. Need to refer to something, I need to look at

  448. the lyrics or whatever, because I try not to and

  449. I play with a lot of mistakes. But I didn't care.

  450. I didn't care, but other people cared. I didn't care

  451. because like just small mistics here and they're lying or whatever.

  452. I just carry on you know, but I knew it

  453. bothered a lot of other people. But and then, you know,

  454. we went through extreme and then one day I heard

  455. a challenge, you know, to say, worship leaders, worship team,

  456. can you do without looking.

  457. At the music stand?

  458. Then I was like, wow, interesting, hard, but maybe let's try.

  459. And then I saw some people actually started doing that.

  460. They say, I don't need the music stand anymore. I'm

  461. just going to lead without. And I go like, oh,

  462. how do you do that? They memorize every single word

  463. for four songs, and they memorize all the chords that

  464. they're going to play and change and they hardly make

  465. a mistake. I observed all that, and I go like, wow.

  466. How do you do that? How do you like this? This talent?

  467. This is talent, you know? And I realize it's not talent.

  468. It's not talent. So we all have hope.

  469. We all we all have.

  470. Hope because I do have talent to memorized lyrics, all right,

  471. we all don't have talent to memorize lyrics.

  472. It's work. It's hard work.

  473. And these guys really put it, put put the time

  474. and the effort and energy in to look at it,

  475. internalize it and say, I'm singing it from the heart

  476. right now, I'm singing it from the spirit right now,

  477. and I'm playing it from my system is inside of

  478. me already.

  479. Yeah, I mean once and it was to have to

  480. lie like, oh but what's the call? Right?

  481. But it's work, and uh because why you know why?

  482. Because I tried it myself.

  483. I realize I have to put in work and I

  484. had to sit down there and memorize, and I have

  485. to listen to the song again and again and again,

  486. sing along and sing along and sing along and internalize

  487. it and.

  488. Believe in it, believe in what I'm singing.

  489. So it's no longer just cut cara, Okay, it is

  490. actually what I'm really I'm really singing. So I want

  491. to encourage all of us here, all right. No, okay,

  492. no pressure, no pressure, right, no pressure extreme, you can't

  493. put the music stand there.

  494. It's okay.

  495. But I'm telling you, this was the This was the ceiling,

  496. and then I made it the floor. And so now

  497. I have a new challenge. I have a new challenge.

  498. Same thing with songwriting, same thing with songwriting. I was

  499. so bad at songwriting. I'm honestly, I tell you first,

  500. all right, I simply wrote any song I like and

  501. think it's good.

  502. Many of us do that.

  503. Many of us we write a song, we think it's

  504. good until someone says, uh. They were like, how can

  505. you say that about my song?

  506. It's from my heart? All right, it's from my life experience.

  507. But there is truth.

  508. I mean, there's songs for your personal worship. You lock

  509. yourself in a room, you sing, right, it's for your experience.

  510. No one needs to hear it.

  511. It's okay sing, you know, honestly, but if it's a

  512. song for people, it needs to help them. They need

  513. to be able to sing it. So that's what that's

  514. what we're saying when we comment about like maybe not

  515. may not work with the with the crowd, may not work,

  516. you know, and we sing it. This word that you

  517. use is not really you know. So I had to

  518. learn how to write, and.

  519. It was so difficult. All right.

  520. I'm not saying I'm there yet or so, but I

  521. think I'm getting somewhere. I think I'm getting somewhere. I'm learning,

  522. all right, So what else? Let me see leadership leadership,

  523. discipleship leadership. Right, Everyone is like, well, it's it's not

  524. easy to lead. It's not easy to lead because you've

  525. got to say some of some of the some difficult things,

  526. right Like, for example, you know that there's there's been

  527. a few people approaching me or rather in my huddle. Right,

  528. I really appreciate, you know, and respect all the people

  529. in my huddle, you know, for even one thing, to

  530. be in a huddle and being willing. So they've been hearing,

  531. you know, about huddle and one of the challenges we

  532. give to our huddle, you know, people in the in

  533. my huddle, in our huddle, is hey, guys, you got

  534. to make disciples. You got to make disciples. There are

  535. people in your homes you need to approach, all right,

  536. and uh Then for a while, I didn't hear a lot.

  537. I didn't hear much about it. Good, Like is it

  538. because they don't want to do it or what? So

  539. when I talk to them, I talk to different ones.

  540. I get feedback. The feedback is how a buster, how

  541. to broach this guy this people.

  542. Because it's quite awkward.

  543. We've been friends for a while now suddenly I come

  544. to him and say, you want to do this huddle thing.

  545. You don't want to do discipleship, Isn't it like we're

  546. isn't it strange? So I understand that. I understand that

  547. because I was at that place before as well. I

  548. felt I felt awkward before as well to approach someone

  549. and say, like, you know, Hoddle, how to explain it?

  550. Right?

  551. And uh, but I realized the best way is actually

  552. to be as direct as possible, to be honest.

  553. Of course, truth in love is the key truth in.

  554. Love because sometimes what we try to do is like, uh,

  555. let me, let me, let me play some bowling with

  556. the guy first, you know, let me go to the farm,

  557. do some farming with him, and let's feed some animals

  558. together first, maybe with the whole family first.

  559. Then we get kind of warm.

  560. Then I can say, hey, by the way, what do

  561. you think about diciplesh ship? Right, we have this idea

  562. of mine, right, like, let's let's connect in some you know,

  563. cool way. And then I asked that question. All right,

  564. So but still you still in the end, you still

  565. have to ask the question after you've done all that, right,

  566. So I I I normally I advise people straight, and

  567. I go like, no, just go direct and straight. I

  568. don't need to do far farm in the city or whatever,

  569. you know, like bowling or this. You can still do

  570. it after you ask, right, because people don't need that

  571. beating around the bush. Just just ask them straight away,

  572. you know. And we've already made it easy. I think

  573. we're making it easy for us all to be able

  574. to talk about because we're talking about discipleship almost every Sunday,

  575. So you can even just say, you know what passive

  576. Jack was talking about discipleship. Yeah, so anyway, and I'm

  577. okay with things like and you know, I'm supposed to

  578. do huddle with you.

  579. It's okay, it's okay.

  580. I'm giving you all some ways to talk about it

  581. because and you know, because according.

  582. To the Word of God, we got to be disciples.

  583. Easy, simple, direct, straightforward things you can use and say,

  584. we've got to do this. And you know, I just

  585. want to be obedient, and you know, the Word of

  586. God says I need to make disciples. So I'm just

  587. trying this out. Trying this out is okay because we're

  588. all trying it out. We all know we are not

  589. experts in it. You know, when Jesus called his disciples,

  590. they're a fishermen and right carpenter carpenter, no tax coaracters,

  591. all right, They're not expert as well, and day two

  592. in the end had to make disciples all right, and

  593. uh they just did all right. So I want to

  594. encourage all of us here. Leadership is not easy, of course,

  595. but uh, I think you can go by faith. You

  596. can go by faith, you can just go by obedience,

  597. and uh, just take it up.

  598. Amen, all right.

  599. I want to share with you Keith Keith, because he's

  600. not here now, but Keith was one of those who

  601. asked me pasta hower to talk to, you know, a

  602. person about discipleship. Then he then I said, you know what,

  603. just go directly. I said, just just ask just talk

  604. to them straight. But I said, if you need me

  605. to be there and sit with you while you talk,

  606. invite me. You know, I will try and join your meeting.

  607. And if it's needed that, I say, you know what,

  608. so and so Keith is your huddle leader. If you

  609. need me to say that there and then so that

  610. it helps the whole situation, I'll do that.

  611. You know what.

  612. I never needed to join his meeting. I never needed

  613. to say any all these things. He just started speaking

  614. to this guy, and you know, he started sharing all

  615. this huddle thing with him. Da they said, okay, huddle then,

  616. and you know the responses good, it's just yeah, come on, good,

  617. thank you, thank you for sharing with me. People are

  618. looking for discipleship. It's not difficult, amen, especially in ex church.

  619. We are all right and ready hallelujah. All right, So anyway, wow,

  620. it's already a most rough Okay, all right, now that's close.

  621. That's close, all right.

  622. So in Jeremiah twelve to twelve six onwards, Okay, I

  623. may not focus on this part because I want to

  624. close suit it Jesus alright, sorry, God responded to Jeremiah, right.

  625. And the point here is it's training. It's training so

  626. earlier right here, complaining, complaining, and uh, you know, Philippians

  627. tells us, hey, you gotta do without grumbling, without complaining.

  628. And there's a reason why we are among the wicked,

  629. we are among the difficult, we are among challenges.

  630. We're facing challenge because it's training. Right.

  631. The question is, if you are struggling with people on foot,

  632. how you're gonna race with horses? Bigger challenges are gonna

  633. come your way. And God wants to equip us to

  634. be ready for that.

  635. Amen.

  636. So I'll leave you to read Versus six to thirteen yourself,

  637. all right, But yeah, you know, whom the Lord loves,

  638. he disciplines, Amen, And and you know Hebrews twelve eleven says,

  639. for the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant,

  640. but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to

  641. those who have been trained by it, trained by it.

  642. All right, everyone say training training. We all need that,

  643. we need training ready for bigger things to come. Then

  644. let's go towards the end. Fourteen to seventeen Versus fourteen

  645. to seventeen tells us. Thus says the Lord, concerning all

  646. my evil neighbors who touch the heritage that I have

  647. given my people Israel to inherit, behold, I will plot

  648. them up from their land, and I will pluck up

  649. the House of Judah from among them. Right. And after

  650. I have plucked them up, I will again have compassion

  651. on them, and I will bring them again, each to

  652. his heritage and each to his land. And it shall

  653. come to pass if they will diligently learn the ways

  654. of my people to swear by my name as the

  655. Lord lives, even as they taught my people to swear

  656. by bail bal, when they shall be built up in

  657. the midst. Then sorry, then they shall be built up

  658. in the midst of my people Possia Passia, verse sixteen,

  659. Verse sixteen.

  660. Next, yeah, this is the one Passia.

  661. All right, this is where God is saying, you know,

  662. you are going to face a bigger challenge in Babylon, right,

  663. this whole group of people.

  664. Yeah, they're not listening to me.

  665. Now, they're asking for it in a sense, and I

  666. have a plan for them, and they're going to be

  667. sent to Babylon, sent to Babylon. And he looks like torture.

  668. It looks like, oh, Lord is trying to punish them, right,

  669. and it sounds a bit hopeless. These guys, you know,

  670. they're not listening to Jeremiah. They're mocking him. And Jeremiah

  671. is complaining about them, like, what's up with these people?

  672. Why haven't you killed them yet? Lord slaughtered them, He's saying,

  673. But God has not slaughtered them yet because he loves them.

  674. He loves them, He loves them, and he's sending them

  675. for training. He's sending them to Babylon. It sounds like

  676. a bad thing, It sounds like punishment. But you know

  677. how God, how merciful God is. He sends them only

  678. to Babylon. He doesn't destroy and kill them all, you know,

  679. in one swipe, send them all to Babylon. And Jeremiah

  680. right is there as well, and he says, he says,

  681. you know, and you know what he speaks, and he

  682. shall come to pass if they the people of Babylon,

  683. the people who are out there right, who are not

  684. His people, if they will diligently learn the ways of

  685. My people.

  686. So God is sending his people there who are not

  687. listening to him.

  688. To be people who will train the people in Babylon, right,

  689. swear by my name as the Lord lives, even as

  690. they taught my people to swear by baal Bail. Then

  691. they shall be built up in the midst of my people.

  692. Here's where it ties in with our missions message this month, right,

  693. God is sending us out. No matter how horrible we

  694. have been and are, God is sending us out. Why

  695. we need to be trained. We are going through training

  696. all right, in the midst of wicked and crooked people.

  697. And we can complain, but the word of God tells

  698. us that's not the way. Don't complain, you know, do

  699. it diligently serve, be part of the House of God

  700. help these crooked people. They need to know the Lord. Amen,

  701. And we need to teach them to learn the ways

  702. of the Lord. And that's why we're here, and that's

  703. why we go for missions. Even though it looks so difficult,

  704. it's so challenging.

  705. Okay.

  706. So whatever you're a challenged with, even if it's serving here, right,

  707. take it as all right, this is my challenge. This

  708. is the training I need because this ceiling needs to

  709. be my floor so that I've got new heights to reach.

  710. Amen.

  711. And God wants to use you. He wants to prepare

  712. you to be used for greater things that He has

  713. for us. Yeah, let's all stand. We're going to close

  714. right now. Of course, the last verse is a warning,

  715. all right, says if any nation will not listen, then

  716. I will utterly pluck it up and destroy the class Lord.

  717. So God is still giving us a chance, still giving

  718. you know, the world around us a chance. But of course,

  719. if in the end we've given them the word, you know,

  720. we've spoken to them, and if they themselves choose us

  721. not to, they choose not to, then destruction will ultimately come. Yeah,

  722. let's just worship for a moment, and let's respond to

  723. the word of God.

  724. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more

  725. information on our church, please visit as church org. We
