You're listening to a message to go from axt church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Okay, let's continue John Chapter fourteen, Verse two. In my
-
father's house are many mentions. If it was not so,
-
I would have told you. I go to prepare a
-
place for you, firs. Three. And if I go and
-
prepare a place for you, I will come again and
-
receive you to myself that where I am there you
-
may be also verse four. And where I go you know,
-
and the way you know? Okay, So this is what
-
Jesus said. Verse five, Thomas said to Jesus. Thomas said
-
to him, Lord, we do not know where you are going,
-
and how can we know the way? Verse six. That's
-
where we read just now the main scripture for today.
-
Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth,
-
and the life. No one comes to the Father except
-
through me. Amen. So a little bit about the background
-
from what Jesus was trying to say that in his
-
father's house from verse two on, wass in his father's
-
In my father's house are many mentions. If it were
-
not so, I would have to so Jesus was saying.
-
In Okay, in English, it sounds a bit weird. In
-
my father's house in my mention is already a house
-
in my father's mentions, So in my father's house are
-
many mentions. So in English terms, I cannot imagine in
-
the house or another house househouse, I don't understand, but
-
but I mean in translation, it means that in this
-
big building there's many rooms. Okay. So a bit of
-
a background. In Jewish culture, it is a norm for
-
communities to build houses with rooms for expansion. Okay, So
-
just imagine, okay, when the son is all enough to
-
get married, the father would start building an expansion right
-
next to his house. No one knows when the father
-
will hand over the new place to the son except
-
the father alone. Okay. The bridegroom and the bride begin
-
the marriage process where the bridegroom's family pays a dowry
-
for the bride and then the couple enters a betrothal
-
or the engagement process. That's that lasts almost a year.
-
So engagement process in the Jewish culture is a year,
-
whereas here Malaysia is like, I don't know, a couple
-
of months a year or so about a year, yes,
-
But for the Jewish culture, when their betrothed. When they
-
are engaged, they are considered like like officially married, but
-
they don't stay together physically together. Okay, okay, yeah, So
-
during this period of engagement, the couple is legally married
-
and consecrated to one another, except that they have not
-
physically bonded. On the day of the marriage, the son,
-
which is the bridegroom, would leave the father's house with
-
a group of people to go and receive his bride.
-
The bride does not know when the bridegroom will come, okay,
-
and must always be ready for this is scarier okay.
-
The bridegroom would then bring his new bride okay, after
-
collecting the bride into the new house or the new
-
rooms that the father had prepared for him and his bride. Okay.
-
So now we understand why okay okay, And so Jesus
-
is the bridegroom. We the church are his bride. Okay.
-
Here the Word of God mentions this as well. Right,
-
Jesus is likened himself to a loving husband that is
-
faithful and committed to see this marriage to be consumated. Right,
-
he pays the price for his bride and the and
-
has betrothed to the church. So Jesus Christ is engaged
-
to the church. Okay, we have already the engagement ceremony. Okay,
-
and yeah, so yes to his church himself. Yeah, he
-
is taken away from them for a short period and
-
returns to the father's house. So now Jesus he is
-
with his father. Okay, at the father's appointed time, he
-
will Jesus will then come back to receive his bride again.
-
The bride doesn't know the way to the father's house,
-
but Jesus, the bridegroom, knows, right, and he will show
-
the church them the way, the how to and carry
-
us back to his father's house. Okay. So in this
-
period of waiting, we must remain consecrated and ready like
-
the parable of the ten virgins. Right, because we now
-
belong to him, we can take comfort that this waiting
-
will soon be over and he will come back again
-
to bring us back to the Father where he has
-
made room for us. It all makes sense now, right, Yeah. Wow, Okay,
-
thank god, I'm not a Jew, but we have to wait.
-
I don't know when come okay anyway, the okay, anyway,
-
so that's very good, very good, now I understand. Also better, like, oh, Okay.
-
We are the bride and Jesus is the bridegroom. Okay.
-
So that's why Jesus said I know the way to
-
the Father. I am the way. That's why our this
-
we will unpack. Okay today first point okay, we will okay,
-
So how how my message will go is there is
-
three point. Jesus is the way, Jesus is the truth,
-
Jesus is the life. Okay, one point each and every
-
point we will unpack them and at the end we
-
will have a discipleship application to it. All right, okay,
-
So the first point, Jesus is the way right and
-
unpacking Jesus is the way. One of it is. Just
-
now I have explained about the Jewish culture, all right,
-
how the bridegroom come and receive his bride. Jesus is
-
like the bridegroom. The church is like the bride, and
-
we are now anticipating waiting for the bridegroom to come, right, Okay,
-
And so now Jesus say he is the way. Jesus
-
is the way right. And now unpacking this I would
-
also like to bring us through the force spiritual laws. Okay.
-
If anyone knows this, never mind, if you don't know.
-
It's okay, we will go through together. Okay. Jesus is
-
the way, all right. So know that God loves us. Amen.
-
God loves us so much he and he offers a
-
one wonderful plan for our lives. Okay. And Jesus came
-
that we might have life and have it abundantly. Right.
-
That's why if we celebrate Christmas, right, Jesus is. Jesus
-
has great plans. God has great plans for every one
-
of us, okay, and he wants us to experience abundant life,
-
a life full of meaning. However, why is it that
-
most people are not experiencing this abundant life? Point number two?
-
All of us have sin? Okay, all of us. All
-
of us have sin, and sin is the problem. Sin
-
separates us from God. That's the problem. Now sin. If
-
you see that word there, sin as I am in
-
the middle of sin is the letter A and the
-
letter I always point to. And that's the whole problem, right,
-
I become you know, the self centeredness of sin is
-
usually I, I always thinking about ourselves, I and our
-
ones our It's not it's yes, it's it's sin. Right,
-
So sin, that's always that focus of sin. And know
-
that in the word English. In the English word idole
-
also starts with the letter I I idle I. Yeah,
-
there's a lot of how we say sin, all right,
-
So sin separates us from God. So as you can
-
see that little picture that God is holy man is sinful,
-
and the Holy God cannot tolerate sin. Okay, So sin
-
is a problem. So that's why that's a separation. Okay,
-
that point, Jesus Christ is God's only provision for our sin.
-
Provision means the solution Jesus Christ is the only solution
-
to bring both the Holy God and the sinful men together.
-
True Jesus Christ, we can know and experience God's love
-
and plan for our life. Okay. So Jesus came to
-
be the solution to the problem, and Jesus the solution
-
is in the person Jesus. Okay. Only to Jesus Christ
-
we can know and experience God fully. Okay. So knowing
-
this is not enough. Okay. Number four, we must individually
-
receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. Then we can
-
know and experience God's love and plan for our lives. Right,
-
So we must receive. We must respond Jesus Christ is
-
like that big present, okay, the greatest present for the
-
whole world, and it's also for me and for each
-
one of us as well. Right, the present is there. Right,
-
the present will always be a present and only be
-
that present there. It will not be my present if
-
I don't take it and open it and use it.
-
Right.
-
So, in the same manner, if we want to experience
-
the Lord Jesus Christ, we must receive it and yeah,
-
use it, yeah, or experience it. Right. As many as
-
received the word of God, says, as many as received
-
him Jesus Christ, to them, God gave them the right
-
to become children of God, even to those who believe
-
in his name. Right, So just believe in your heart
-
very easy. Later we'll have that opportunity for every one
-
of us here as well. If you have not received
-
Jesus Christ as your personal lot and savior, will have
-
this invitation. Yes, and you just need to believe in
-
your heart, confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.
-
And yay, you have your presence to yourself and let's
-
walk that life together. Yeah, this church believes in walking
-
the Christian faith together. Yeah, not alone, okay. So also
-
written in X chapter four vers eleven say, and to
-
twelve it says that this is the stone. So just
-
a bit of a context here. This is where Paul Peter,
-
sorry Peter, and if not mistaken, John was in the
-
san Hedrin when he was speaking to the high priest,
-
if not mistaken, okay, So he was saying to them
-
that this is the stone which was rejected by you builders,
-
the Jews that christified Jesus, which has become the chief
-
corner stone. Nor is there salvation in any other For
-
there is no other name under heaven given among men
-
by which we must be saved save from what, save
-
from sin, same from shame, save from Satan, saved, saved
-
from death either no death. Okay. So only Jesus is
-
the way, right, and it's so strong in the older days, right,
-
in the earlier days, in the early days, Christians they
-
call themselves people of the way, the way. It was
-
so impactful that you know, Jesus is the way and
-
they call themselves the people of the way. Right. Are
-
we bold enough to say that today? How we people
-
of the way?
-
Right?
-
Okay? That's something to think about. Okay. So next, like
-
a discipleship application, Okay, As you can see in this
-
picture is actually a picture of a crowded mall. Allow
-
me to share me share some story here. So a
-
few weeks ago, I was going shopping with my kids
-
and my husband. Okay. I have an elder son he
-
is nine years old and my daughter is seven. So
-
when we were walking in this in Okay, we were
-
in Ioi City mall. So when we were walking in
-
the mall, uh, my son Anderson, he was holding he
-
was holding my husband's hand, and I was holding my
-
daughter's hands. So but I wasn't holding my husband's hand, okay.
-
So we were walking okay, two by two okay, and
-
it was so crowded okay. But and then at the
-
same time, I got easily distracted. Last as girls, we
-
also see so many things at the same time. I
-
still have to keep watching on my husband where he's going.
-
He's always walking ahead first, okay. So I'm like, okay,
-
oh lost him. We're like, oh, where where is daddy?
-
Where's daddy? Okay? Then thank God for technology, I can
-
call my husband, hey, where are you? Where are you? Okay?
-
And this happened like not one time, but five times.
-
So I'm like, oh, no, that's not good. Yeah. So
-
I thank God for that I can I can still
-
call my husband on the phone. La. So just just
-
something something that encouraged that, that just reminded me, like, okay, right,
-
So in the midst of the crowd, okay, are we
-
it's very important to stay close to Jesus, right and
-
the leaders around us. The crowd is like every day
-
outside in the world today, right, social media, everything, Okay,
-
everything is calling to our attention, and we can be
-
easily distracted. I have to honestly say, I am also
-
distracted many times. Okay. Yes, At the same time, I
-
thank God that my daughter holds tightly to me. Okay,
-
she follows me. Okay, But sometimes I also can get lost.
-
But I don't get lost and just yeah, leave my
-
husband and then I my daughter do my own thing. No,
-
but I call back my husband, right. So the same
-
sometimes we as humans, we can sometimes get lost and
-
people are following us. Oh no, okay, but we need
-
to remember to get back, connect back, okay, call back right, Okay,
-
So call back to my husband. Okay, call back to Jesus. Right.
-
So we need to follow Christ. We need to follow
-
our leaders even as they follow Christ. And we trust
-
that our leaders are also following Christ at the same time.
-
That's why it's important to pray for our leaders. Every Sunday,
-
we pray for our leaders. So that's why it's very
-
important because we are following our leaders too, so follow
-
me as I follow Christ. Right, So that's why I
-
also put that last point there. When we are lost,
-
you know, Christians so sometimes can get lost. I'm honestly saying,
-
we also can get lost. So when we are lost,
-
it's not the end of the world. Call back Jesus,
-
call call call well you Jesus, were where because Jesus
-
is the way, right, So call to Jesus, call out
-
to Jesus. Okay, very cool, very important, all Okay, So
-
that's number one. Jesus is the way. Second point, Jesus
-
is the truth. Now, Jesus is the truth out there
-
everywhere today you open the social media, opened the news everywhere,
-
it's just fake news, fake news. You're on your music
-
also very deceiving news. What they're singing. Also, I don't
-
understand okay, anyway doesn't make sense sometimes like uhuh is
-
it true? Sounds good, but hey, everything out there is
-
really is that truth in it even right, So that's
-
why it is important to know the truth. And I
-
thank you God for giving us Jesus, because Jesus is
-
the truth. Right. So just a very quick story. I
-
just recently came back from Hanoi, okay. So this is
-
Andrew on the left, okay, and that's my sack okay,
-
and they met okay. So this was the first day
-
of lunch. Okay. So Andrew found this restaurant a very
-
nice place. But it's very crowded. Okay. It's like a
-
coffee shop like that. Very yeah, very crowded. We didn't
-
I didn't show the crowd love. It's very rare. Crowded
-
to a point where we need to share tables with
-
other people, okay, So we will sit it down and
-
then does this lady had to share with us also,
-
So we managed to strike a conversation with this lady.
-
So her name is Deep d i Ep. She's a
-
Vietnamese also, but she's from the I think she's from
-
the middle or the southern side of Vietnam. Okay. She
-
it was also her first time visiting Hanoi. Hanoi is
-
the northern side of Vietnam, Okay. So yeah, so she said,
-
oh yeah, this is a couple of this. She's been
-
here a couple of days. Ready, So we asked, oh,
-
where she did travel and this? Oh? Then she introduced
-
us a very nice restaurant of fish shop, very nice.
-
Said you must try the other places really not nice one.
-
This place you must go. I'm like, oh, okay, So
-
you know Andrew and my husband is a foodie. He
-
loves to eat for so anything. And thank god that.
-
Of course we didn't just hear her. We got to
-
know her. Also. She's actually a lecturer, very young lecturer.
-
She's a lecturer in a university teaching about arts. So
-
we asked her, so, what are you doing here in Hannoi.
-
Then she said, oh, she's here to meet with the
-
with the origin of the person who who created a
-
certain art. She's looking for this person and she's trying
-
to interview this person. I'm like wow. Then I asked,
-
what do you do with all this? Oh, because they
-
want to keep the culture going for generations to come.
-
I'm like wow at a young age. She was like oh,
-
cheering her. So she was just telling her story and
-
she's very honest, So for me, I believe her. Okay.
-
People say, how can you trust a stranger and first
-
I'm like, so, actually I got to know her. And
-
she's also a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. I think,
-
just a Catholic. Yeah so yeah, but yeah, so we
-
were just sharing a few things. Yeah, so I got
-
to know her. Her name is Dave, and then we got
-
in touch and we shared with her about our trad
-
and things like that. Yeah. So she was, yeah, a
-
friend of mine now, yes, okay, so and the truth
-
is okay. So the next light, after a few days,
-
we went to visit the fish Shot and it is
-
really nice. Okay, what's the name of the show? You
-
can ask and s I don't know the name, but
-
it's really good. Yeah. And then we added like fish
-
stomach on it on the other side, so you you
-
you have to wrap it with the rice paper, you know,
-
and at thet it to the wrap and things like that. Yeah.
-
So it's really good. Sorry to trigger some hunger juice there. Yeah.
-
So so it's you know, following the truth. Following people
-
who knows the truth is great, right. You don't want
-
to be following some fake news and then get disappointed,
-
wasting time, wasting money, wasting effort. Right, So yes, likewise,
-
Jesus is the truth. Okay, coming back to our point
-
from all the food oday. All right, so Jesus is
-
the truth. Okay. I he was to say, Jesus is
-
the food. Jesus is the truth. Jesus says the truth.
-
Come back, come back, John chapter one, verse fourteen. Right,
-
the Word of God says here and the Word became
-
flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory,
-
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,
-
full of grace and truth. This is the Word of God,
-
even declaring who is this son of God? He is
-
the begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
-
In John chapter one, verse seventeen, it also says, for
-
the law was given true Moses, but grace and truth
-
came true Jesus Christ. Again. Right, the word is repeated.
-
And it must be so evident that John, when he
-
writes this book about the Son of God, is the
-
God what the Word made flesh full of grace and truth. Right. Okay,
-
So just allow me to share five points of the
-
importance of the truth. Okay, if you're writing down, I
-
try to speak slowly. Okay. Five points of the importance
-
of the truth because today I feel, I really feel
-
that the world needs to know what is the truth.
-
Jesus is who is the truth? Jesus is the truth.
-
But why is it important to have these five points? Truth?
-
Number one? Point number one, Truth grounds our identity and values.
-
Very important, Truth grounds our identity and values. So if
-
Jesus is the truth, Jesus grounds our identity and values
-
because truth helps us understand who we are and what
-
truly matters. Agree, truth helps us understand who we are
-
and what truly matters. Right, Because we know who we are,
-
we will know our very purpose. Truth grounds our identity
-
and values. Right John chapter eight, verse that you want
-
to ty two. Then Jesus said to those Jews who
-
believed him, if you abide in my word, you are
-
my disciples indeed, and you shall know the truth, and
-
the truth shall make you free. So in order to
-
know the truth, Jesus says that we will need to
-
abide in his word. We need to read his word.
-
His word will be the truth. In fact, Jesus is
-
the Word made flesh. He is the Word in himself, right,
-
the word. If we abide in his word, we are
-
his disciples, and that is our identity. How do you
-
know that a man or a woman is off is
-
following Jesus. You will know when this person abides in
-
the world of God. There is a fruit that will
-
come out from it. The fruit of the Spirit will
-
be evident when someone abides in his Word with the
-
Holy Spirit living in them. Okay, So truth grounds our
-
identity and values. Point number one. Point number two. Truth
-
brings freedom and growth. If want to replace Jesus is
-
the truth. So Jesus brings freedom and growth. Amen. Living
-
in truth frees us from fear, deception, and self denial. Amen.
-
Without truth, identity becomes unstable and values shifts with convenience
-
or pressure. Right, when we have the truth, we will
-
be strong enough to know what is right. And we
-
can be strong but old enough to not be afraid
-
to do what is right. Like Queen Esther right, she
-
knows it was so deep difficult for Queen Esther to
-
do what is right. But because she knows she is
-
a Jew, she needs to speak up. If not her
-
whole family, her whole community will be wiped out. But yes,
-
Ruth knows the truth. Right. Likewise, right, living in truth
-
frees us from fear, deception, and self denial. Without truth,
-
identity becomes unstable and values shifts with convenience or pressure.
-
Here in ex Church we also say that we don't
-
live by our convenience. We live by our priorities. Right,
-
we live by who we are. Right, we are not
-
lived by all because it's conven then we do this
-
or we do that, but we do something like pass
-
the jack, doctor Jill. It's not convenient for them to
-
come here every Sunday. They stay in shah Alam. That's
-
like very far and that's two tolls away. Right, If
-
it's convenient, they'll go to x KK just round the corner, right, Yeah,
-
So no, they are here, right, it's not convenient, but
-
they know who they are. They have disciples of the
-
Lord Jesus Christ, and there is a purpose why they
-
are here today. Right, Okay. Likewise for us joint chapter eight,
-
verse that you one to thirty two. It also says,
-
then Jesus said to those Jews who believed him. It's
-
the same verse like the first point, if you abide
-
in my word, you are my disciples. Indeed, and you
-
shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free,
-
free from what, free from fear, deception, and self denial, okay,
-
very important okay. And next verse from this second point,
-
it says in Daniel chapter eleven, verse thirty two, one
-
of my favorite verse, that I hold on to very
-
dearly right. Those who do wickedly against the covenant shall
-
corrupt or polluted, pollute with flattery. But the people of
-
God who know their God shall be strong and carry
-
out great exploits. It's very important to know our God, right,
-
to know the truth, so that we can be strong
-
and not be afraid to do what is right right
-
and to carry out great exploits. So for our for
-
everyone here included Malaysians, non Malaysians, we are here in Cyberjaya.
-
I don't think anyone here is born in Cyberjaya, right.
-
So Cyberjaya to us is like a mission case, right,
-
and we are here to do great exploits for the
-
Lord God, for the Lord, for his kingdom here. Amen,
-
all right, So let's know our God, okay, wherever God
-
has placed us, okay. So that's point number two. Point
-
number three. The truth guides wise decisions. The truth guides
-
wise decisions. Is very important to know the truth because
-
the truth guides wise decisions. When we know what is true,
-
we can choose rightly. Falsehood leads to purch choices and
-
harmful consequences, while truth helps us act with clarity and purpose. Amen,
-
It's so important to know the truth because the truth
-
guides wise decisions. Okay. Also from Isaiah chapter nine, verse
-
six six, it says, for unto us, a child is born,
-
that's Jesus Christ. Unto us, a son is given, and
-
the government will be upon his shoulder, and his name
-
will be called wonderful counselor Mighty God, everlasting Father, Prince
-
of peace. And his name is counselor. Hey, counselor counselor
-
that counselor who has wisdom. Right, Jesus is the truth.
-
His name is counselor. We can always go to him. Okay,
-
you need wisdom. Jesus is the truth. Okay. First point,
-
why is it important to have the truth. The truth
-
is relational. It creates trust and preserve unity in the
-
context of our relationship with each other. Okay. Truth is important.
-
Without it, relationships are broken. I have applied this at
-
home and also at work, and it works. Okay. Truth
-
is very important. Okay. If itsients Chapter four, verse twenty five,
-
it says, therefore, putting away lying, let each one of
-
you speak truth with his neighbor, for we are members
-
of one another. It is important to know the truth
-
because it creates trust and preserves unity. Okay, right point
-
number five. Why is important to have the truth because
-
the truth promotes justice and peace. The truth promotes justice
-
and peace. Okay. Truth is like the soil where justice
-
grow and peace is its fruit. You see the diagram there. Yeah,
-
truth is like the soil where justice grow and peace
-
is its fruit. Yeah, if you think about it, Actually,
-
it's very true. In the Book of Zacharia, chapter eight,
-
verse sixteen to seventeen, it says, these are the things
-
that you shall do. Speak the truth to one another,
-
render your gates judgments that are true, and make for peace.
-
Do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.
-
And love no false or means love no false or
-
means don't love broken promises. Kid. For all these things
-
I hate, declares the Lord. So God doesn't like us
-
to tell lies. God wants us to speak the truth
-
and render judgments that are true and make for peace. Okay,
-
all right, and don't love false promises. Zachariah chapter eight,
-
verse sixteen to seventeen. Very strong words here. Okay, So
-
our god is the god of truth. He wants his
-
people to live in the truth and to promote the
-
truth as well. Okay, so a discipleship application here, and
-
we can see here in John chapter eighteen vers thety
-
seven Jesus is the real role model of peace, of truth. Sorry,
-
of truth, Jesus is the truth. John chapter eighteen was
-
thety seventh. Pilot therefore said to him, So this is
-
the situation where Jesus was brought to Pilot. He's about
-
to execute that judgment to crucify Jesus. Okay, so Jesus.
-
So Pilot has a conversation with Jesus, and Pilot therefore
-
said to him, are you a king? Then? Jesus answered,
-
you say rightly that I am a king for this
-
cause I was born, and for this cause I have
-
come into the world, that I should bear witness to
-
the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears my voice.
-
After I read this sentence, suddenly the song the Voice
-
of Truth from Casting Crowns. You know the song Okaya,
-
I love the chorus of the first two lines. The
-
Voice of Truth tells me a different story from the
-
world of lies and you know, deceivedness and things. The
-
Voice of Truth tells me a different story. The Voice
-
of Truth says, do not be afraid. It's a very
-
powerful song. So if you want to listen to you,
-
it's good. The Voice of Truth casting crowns. Yeah, check
-
it out. Okay. So yeah, yes, So you know, Jesus
-
is really the the role model of this and he
-
speaks the truth, especially when it's most when it's the
-
most difficult time. Okay, he still speaks the truth. Will
-
we still be bearest of the truth, especially when we
-
are in the most difficult situation. As parents, we need
-
to faith fully and diligently disciple our children and also
-
the people around us. As leaders of the church, we
-
need to be faithful and diligent in discipling our people
-
with the truth in love. Okay, very important. Okay, So
-
that's one. Okay. Third point, Jesus is the life, so
-
we have Jesus is the way. Jesus is the truth. Now,
-
Jesus is the life. John chapter eleven, verse twenty five.
-
Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life.
-
He who believes in me. Though he may die, he
-
shall live Jesus is the resurrection and the life. He
-
is the life. When we talk about resurrection, Jesus is
-
in this business of transforming what was dead to be alive.
-
He is expert in this right. So he is Jesus
-
is the life right. He is the life right. So
-
in anything that if you feel that there is something
-
that is broken in your life, or you know very
-
hard to restore back something that's dead, Jesus is the life. Okay,
-
go to Jesus. Jesus is the life right. Because in
-
the Bible he also says he who believes in me
-
the key word, he who believes in me, though he
-
may die, he shall live a man. John chapter three,
-
verse sixteen to seventeen. Let's read this verse together, shall
-
we want to treat? For God so loved the world
-
that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes
-
in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For
-
God did not send his son into the world to
-
condemn the world, but that the world true him might
-
be saved. Amen. You know, Jesus is the life. He
-
God loves the world, and he gives us life, everlasting life.
-
He loves us so much and he wants us to
-
experience this everlasting life, right John ten ten. It also
-
says here the thief does not come except to steal
-
and to kill and to destroy. I have come that
-
they may have life, and that they may have it
-
more abundantly. Amen, So the like. Now we also mentioned
-
earlier that God loves us so much and he has
-
great plans for us, for us to live this abundant life,
-
a life full of meaning and a full life. Right
-
abandoned life. Romans, Chapter six, Verse twenty three says, for
-
the wages of sin is death. Sin pays off with death, okay,
-
But the free gift of God is eternal life in
-
Christ Jesus, our lord. Hey, did you know the Bible
-
says got free gift? Also anything free? All the girls
-
love it? Anyone? Actually, you guys a love it is
-
freak gave way, free give. Who doesn't want a free give?
-
Who I want a free give? Right? Hey, we don't
-
even have to work for it. It's free. But hey,
-
someone paid the price. Jesus paid the price. He laid
-
down his life for us that we can enjoy this
-
eternal life. Amazing, right, this is the best gift, no wonder.
-
It's called the best gif. Jesus Christ is the best
-
give of all right discipleship application for this last point, right,
-
life transforming business. Yeah, so you can see this picture here. Okay, yes,
-
don't see net today but yeah, okay, okay, yeah, sorry.
-
Remember it was Ned's baptism, so we have Adriel and
-
Rja there so and if we remember, Ned actually shared
-
his testimony here at service before so powerful his life
-
was changed. I mean, this is just one life. We
-
have so many of us here, and all of us
-
have this same similar testimony where God has transformed our lives,
-
every one of us, including myself. We came from broken places.
-
We came from places where we are lost or lacking
-
something you know, not full, right, the life that is
-
not full. But hey, when we know Jesus, Jesus is
-
the life, and he promises us abandoned life. Right. So
-
life is given out of love, as we have read
-
just now John three sixteen right, for God so loved
-
the world he gave. Life is given out of love.
-
If you think about it, as I was just writing
-
this sentence, I was thinking about it, even our children.
-
It is because of the love of two people, a
-
man and a woman who loves his art, who loves
-
each other and gave life to children. Life is given
-
out of love, right, it is out of love. That's
-
why there is life. Life is given out of love.
-
Anything that has life shows signs of growth. Right, you
-
don't see something dead will have life. So how do
-
you know when something has life? When you can see
-
it's growing? Okay, growing from strength to strength. Bring from
-
faith to faith. For example, each one of our lives, right,
-
we grow from faith to faith. So if you realize,
-
if you realize that your life is stagnant, let's go
-
back to Jesus. Jesus is the life, okay, And we
-
are here to make disciples that make the difference, because
-
Jesus says bad will call us to make disciples and
-
baptizing them and teaching them to observe all that I
-
have commanded you. Right, So we are all here together
-
to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to help
-
people to receive this gift. Jesus is the life. This
-
gift Jesus is the life, and we will see life transform. Right,
-
this is what we want to see life transform. Many
-
out there do not know this gift. Jesus is the life.
-
So that's why we are here in Cybergia and you
-
can invite your friends to our Invite your friends here.
-
Introduce God, you know through your life as well through
-
through my own life. Okay, let's help people believe. This
-
is our tagline in the ex church. Let's help people
-
believe in Jesus, who is the Life, the Way, the Truth,
-
and the Life right. So this call to action. Who
-
around me needs to experience the life of Christ through me?
-
Even this week, Christmas Week, this is the best time
-
to shout it out. Hey Christmas, what's Christmas is about?
-
Let's tell them about this gift Jesus Christ, the Way,
-
the Truth. End.
