You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
This year of a church theme, not just locally but
-
globally is revival, revival and revival.
-
It's not just about waiting for God to move.
-
Revival is about moving with God. Revival is saying that
-
God restoring me, you know, the heart that I maybe
-
have lost, our grown colds. You know, at one time
-
we came to know Jesus and we're just so excited
-
you couldn't wait to tell the whole world about him.
-
But over time life has a way of pouring cold
-
water into our hearts. And over time, you know, different
-
situations and circumstances maybe made us a little bit more shy,
-
made us a little bit more reserved, maybe us a
-
little bit more private about our face. But revival is
-
asking God to restore again, to breathe life again, you know,
-
to the dry bones of our faith, to maybe not
-
to say that you run out of fire, but maybe
-
just like those of us who've gone for a good
-
barbecue before, sometimes the ember you know, has been over
-
time been coated by a lot of dust, and you
-
need the fan of God, you need the wind of
-
the Holy Spirit to kind of fan that flame, bro
-
away the ashes so that the ember get light again.
-
You know, kind of like earlier on when the birthday
-
cake came out. You know, it looks like the cannon's
-
about to go out, and then we need the intervening
-
hand to come in. And then I saw the flame
-
go up again, like wow, that's that that that will preach.
-
That's a sumministration right there. Amen, Praise God. And you know,
-
I want you to know that God's moving and we're not.
-
We're not waiting for God to move. In fact, it's
-
the opposite. God's waiting for us to move. God's already moving.
-
You know our famous revival Bahami. Know that it's always
-
been God's heart to breathe new life, to pour out
-
his fire.
-
You know, two thousand.
-
Years ago the day of Pentecost, God already poured at
-
his fire and he's and he's waiting on us, his people,
-
to get with him so that he can do it
-
again and again and again. And I just want to
-
bring forth an encouragement that you know, God's moving globally
-
and even as I share this, you know, uh, you know,
-
let this testimony be your testimony.
-
As well, because you are one church.
-
Amen, so our our victories in the UK is your
-
victory because you've been covering us in prayer and we
-
are one church. And God's God's really moving and I'm
-
so humble and in awe of God. Recently one of
-
the big moves of God was those literally a move.
-
We changed locations.
-
For the last ten years, from twenty to fifteen, we
-
were meeting in this kind conference facility in central London,
-
relatively central London, and it's a conference facility.
-
When you're first moving, we're moving by faith. Were moving
-
to the smallest room, to the smallest room.
-
But over the over ten years, the grace of God,
-
our room grew grew and grew and grew, and then
-
last year it came to a point where we were
-
occupying their largest room that was available to us. They
-
have larger rooms but at the moment is not available
-
to us, but the largest room available to us. And
-
you know, God's bringing people and it was a food
-
house every week and it was so full that people
-
were sitting shoulder to shoulder and our church was like,
-
you know, majority young people still, but God is bringing
-
the nations. We have people from Ukraine we have people
-
from from from you know, uh uh, you know, not
-
just Malaysia, but but Singapore, you know, Indonesia. You know,
-
we have one girl from Philippines, so please pray for
-
us rival with one more amen, uh. And we have
-
we're people from Uganda, We're people we have people from
-
Sri Lanka. We're people who who are Brits. But they
-
come from different ethnicity. You know, they they come from Zimbabwe.
-
But then they are second generation. You know, they're from Nigera.
-
But the second generation.
-
Uh.
-
You know that means that that they identify as a
-
bread first. But but there's different you know, tongues and
-
tribe and the very exciting thing recently, God brought this
-
brand new tribe to church. And I have no experience.
-
I don't know how. I'm happy that they're but I
-
don't know how to talk to them. It's called the family, tribe, family.
-
I know, it's Joe and Sow. You think what tribes is, No,
-
that means people who are older, you know, people who
-
are retiring. You know, so because our church, for the
-
longest while, Passe and I were the oldest.
-
And you know, I'm I'm turning, Yes, I'm turning forty.
-
Four this year, and for the longest one, I was
-
the oldest and the youngest church member. Every year, you know,
-
church just kids younger and younger. You know, every year
-
what year we're born? Your two thousand year born two
-
one oh uh And and then suddenly God not only
-
brought people to a church from different nations, but it
-
brought this trick that I have no experience.
-
Maybe Pastor Jack and Pastaji maybe different ones. You have
-
a lot of experience, Please pray for us.
-
I have no experienced people in the retirement age, people
-
in their fifties, in their sixties, and they're discovering our church.
-
Majority of young people, but they say, we love it.
-
Some came because they followed their grandchildren. Some came because
-
they followed their children. Now you know how old they are.
-
You know.
-
Some came because they say we heard about you and
-
and and summer a younger heart.
-
You know.
-
Some come and they love it by they say in
-
the back room. Some some come and they love it
-
and they want to get involved. And and God's bringing
-
and myself and pass keep were praying. We're going, like God,
-
what do we do? We don't know how, you know,
-
how do we connect you know, do I call them
-
uncle auntie?
-
They're like, you know, what do I do? And but
-
it's exciting. Amen.
-
You know, revival always leads us to to to just
-
exciting places, to places that we've never been before. So
-
please pray for us. Amen, we're scratching our heads. You know,
-
do we start ex family? Do we start a family lounge?
-
You know?
-
And and because of the added numbers, we had to
-
move to a new location and uh and and praise God.
-
You know, our own location it was like shoulder to shoulder.
-
And after a while, you know, a packed house is good,
-
but when it's so packed after people were were you know,
-
they felt a bit shy to invite their friends because
-
if their friends come, they got no place to see
-
their friends come. It's too hot. So by the bye bye,
-
by faith, we moved to a new location that can
-
sit much more people. And uh but and praise scrit
-
it's just five minutes away from where we are at
-
uh and and and so please come if you ever
-
in the UK, please come. Uh you know, if you
-
ever want to, you know, just this, you can do
-
mission trip. You can bring all the family group to
-
connect with our family group. And you know, it's amazing. Uh.
-
And and not only we by the grace of God,
-
you know, growing.
-
Little by little in in quantity, there's still so much
-
room for growth. But but we're seeing fruits of that.
-
Praise God.
-
But but God's bringing changed lives, you know, speaking of
-
the retirees and all that, we have this amazing family
-
that they're join us a few years ago. Uh, they
-
are in the retirement age, but they love God so
-
much and this is a sign of revival. I know
-
that God is moving in their lives. And I know
-
they're moving with God because you know, they they live
-
about it's an hour and hour and a half, about
-
nineteen minutes outside of London.
-
But they heard of our church.
-
In fact, how they heard of the church U was
-
one day their oldest son, who not interested in the
-
things of God. So they say, Mom, I'm going to
-
church this week. And then they go that their parents,
-
who will believe us, go like this is so strange.
-
And then they follow the sun just to make sure
-
that it's not going to the wrong church. You know,
-
maybe some of you did that welcome, you know, and
-
and you stayed because you anyway, and then they came
-
and they just stayed on and and they are plugged
-
into the life of the church so much so that
-
they say, you know, this is their heart desire. They
-
live but nineteen minutes out south of central London. So
-
every Sunday they come in nineteen minutes one direction, nineteen
-
minutes out another direction.
-
You know.
-
But of course you know, they come into London, they
-
do all the you know, grocery shoppings as well. Then
-
they they come go up, you know, but they want
-
more of God. So recently what they said is this
-
that they say, past and pray for us. Where we
-
we have a house that's fully paid off. You know,
-
it's paid off. We own this one hundred percent. But
-
we want to buy a new house. We want to
-
move nearer to the church. We will move nearer to
-
central London so that we can be closer to the
-
move of God, so that our new house can be
-
opened up to do homes, so that we can have
-
people over for fellowship, so that we connect with them,
-
so that we have a place to to to pray
-
and to have homes and and other things. And so
-
they have a fully paid house, but then they're planning
-
to like sell that off by faith and apply for
-
our new loan. You know, their older son, he already
-
has a property. He's planning to sell that off so
-
that they can pull together their resources to buy a
-
bigger house for the family to live closer.
-
I mean, this is this is revival stuff, right.
-
How many of you here, after paying off your mortgage
-
will go like and I will.
-
Do this all over again.
-
Not because it's a better postcode so that I can
-
be nearer to God. You know, it's different if you
-
go like, wow, and I got a better deal. No, no, no,
-
they're not going for a better deal. They're going for
-
a better destiny. They're saying that, you know, we can
-
be in our age retired by faith. When it comes
-
to faith, there's no retirement age. And was so encouraged
-
by them. And it's revival friends, it's revival.
-
Amen.
-
Recently, we also have another young person you're saved baptized.
-
We just baptized him last year at all at our
-
you know camp get away. And this guy, you know,
-
young man, charismatic and he used to be you know,
-
his student by part times.
-
He's so charismatics, so good looking. He's a part time
-
nightclub promoter.
-
So before he got safe you will go there and
-
you give up flyers and bring people clubbing. You know,
-
he'll be the guy that that you know, you watch
-
his movies, go in Speed of the Bounce, I'm on
-
the list, and he is on the list, and he
-
brings in five girls in that would be him. And
-
God changed him, revival paul him and he gave his life.
-
Is his baptized were we're discipling him still and now
-
he is he's bringing people to church. He's bringing you know,
-
he's using the same gifts you know, just like the
-
marketplace annoying thing you no Valerie Shad, you know, like
-
God's give me this opportunity, I'm gonna use it. And
-
so he's bringing people, you know, and and and as
-
a church is gonna be ready because of the people
-
that he brings when they know there the idea of
-
Sunday best is different, you know, because for them, their
-
best is when they go clubbing. So when they go
-
to church and address their best, you know. So so
-
we're gonna teach our people, don't don't judge, you know, pray, pray.
-
You know, as they got more revived, you know, the
-
long the clothes will grow longer.
-
Anyway, Praise God, Praise God.
-
I just want to share that, uh, just because you know,
-
every life is precious and all victories your victory.
-
Our testimony is your testimony.
-
And we we we cannot do anything that we do
-
if not for just God. And also the love and
-
the support that comes from being part of a global family.
-
And uh and and just like how when I go
-
back to the UK, you know, I share the testimony
-
is in ex cyber and ex church, you know.
-
So so don't worry, don't worry.
-
I'm low background, so I understand strata, title, tribunal, judge
-
your honor, you know.
-
So I'll be sharing, you know.
-
And that's such a powerful marketplace testimony of course, you know.
-
Uh And and and you.
-
Know, talking about healing, last year we've had young people
-
healed from uh sarcoma. Is it like like a very
-
aggressive strain of cancer. We see people get healed from that.
-
Uh.
-
We just just you know, we have we have people
-
who suddenly just have you know, collapse lung and then
-
God healed them from that.
-
And and God is moving. God is moving right.
-
Our Jesus is still healing today as he did many
-
thousand years ago. Amen, He's still changing lives today, just
-
how He changed lives you know, a thousand years ago.
-
Our God is live.
-
Amen, and and and this brings me to my message today.
-
And if you're taking out notes, the title of a
-
message today is called ordinary revival, ordinary revival. Now, there's
-
nothing ordinary about revival, because it's a move of God.
-
But what I'm trying to get here is that this
-
is an ordinary revival because it's a revival of ordinary people.
-
You see, many times when we think of revival, it's
-
pay a Christian word. We think that this is only
-
for the big leagues. Now, this revival only applies to
-
pass the jet doctor, Jill, maybe Katy. You know anyone
-
who holds the mighty in front. Yeah, they have business
-
with revival.
-
I don't. I just come to church.
-
I'm just looking for a place to worship that that's all.
-
I've got enough problems of my own. I want to
-
move of God, but I'm not ready for a move
-
of God. I'm just trying to figure my life out.
-
And yet we serve a God who wants to pour
-
our revival, and we serve a God who is interested
-
in using ordinary people, and not just using ordinary people.
-
But God iss for revival to happen in ordinary, every
-
day circumstances. Don't think for a while that that, you know,
-
because sometimes we can be thinking, oh, revival. This year's
-
theme is revival. So we're waiting for revival. When will
-
revival come? When when will the remove of God hit
-
our church? Until, you know, service never ends because we
-
think that's revival. We think that, oh, you know, you know,
-
suddenly there's a news text message goes up x Cybergayas
-
started meeting at nine am this morning, and it's now
-
it's nine pm and they're still meeting. People are coming
-
out to the auto car, they're singing, they're repenting, and and.
-
Now if that happens, praise God.
-
There is a form of revival, but that is not
-
a complete revival because God's revival has always been not
-
contained within the four woes. You know, when you read
-
the Book of Acts, you know that was time to
-
pray and seek the Lord. And then for fifty days
-
after Jesus's asssion, they met daily to pray and then
-
the Holy Spirit dropped them. Then that's called why it's
-
called the pent cause Panta fifty and so it's it's
-
you know, fifty days after the ascension, and and then
-
after that did they continue to stay on and.
-
Have a revival meeting. No, they they spread out, they.
-
Went out, and then revival beginning pull out into the streets.
-
And so my hope is that you know, we will
-
this year say yes to moving with God and allowing
-
his supernatural to enter our natural.
-
Amen. But you don't have to take my word for it.
-
Let's look at scripture. Amen.
-
So if you're taking out notes, you know, let's turn
-
to some scripture. Is that okay, let's turn to X H.
-
It's good to turn to X as ex Church. And
-
we're gonna read from Acts chapter three, verse one to ten,
-
and then after that we're gonna jump forward and go
-
read Acts chapter four, verse thirteen to fourteen. But we're
-
gonna read X three one to ten first. If your
-
dad can't hear, good Amen. Amen.
-
If you don't have that, don't worry.
-
We have the amazing Activity team who having flesh out
-
on the screen and I'm gonna read it for us.
-
Amen.
-
Now, Peter and John went up together to the temple
-
at the hour of prayer. Praise God for the hour prayer.
-
Amen.
-
The ninth hour and a certain man lame from his
-
mother's womb, was carried whom they lay daily at the
-
gate of the temple, which is called beautiful. So there
-
are different gates that lead the temple. This one was
-
called the beautiful gate, to ask alms to beg from
-
those who entered the temple. This man, who seen Peter
-
and John about to go into the temple, asked them
-
for arms, asked them for money, asked them for spad, change,
-
asked for anything, and fixing his eyes on him with John,
-
Peter said to.
-
This beggar, look at us.
-
So he gave them his attention, expecting to receive something
-
from them. Then Peter said, silver and gold I do
-
not have, but what I do have, give you in
-
the name of Jesus Christ of nationalers, rise up and walk.
-
And he took him by the right.
-
Hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and
-
ankle bones received strength. So he liping up, stood and
-
walked and entered the temple with them, walking leaping, praising God.
-
And all the people saw him walking and praising God.
-
Then they knew that it was he who sat begging
-
arms at the beautiful gate of the temple. And they
-
were filled with wonder, wow, Amen, and amazement at what
-
had happened to the beggar. Let's jump forward to ask
-
chapter four.
-
Verse.
-
Thirteen to fourteen. If you there can hear good Amen, Yeah.
-
Turned to the page. Then try to try to outrace XTV.
-
You know.
-
Yeah.
-
Of course, after that heathing, there was great excitement, great commotion.
-
But what we jump over was, of course Peter and
-
John being arrested because they were they were the religious
-
leaders will say, what is this, what's this? This is
-
unsanctioned miracle? What's happening now? When they saw the boldness
-
of Peter and John and perceived that they were uneducated
-
and untrained men, in other words, ordinary, they marveled, and
-
they realized that they had been with Jesus. You see,
-
you can be ordinary, but what you need is to
-
spend time with Jesus, and then you will He will
-
use you.
-
Amen.
-
And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them,
-
they could say nothing against it. Amen, Praise God, Praise God.
-
This you know, Act chapter three except the four actualpt
-
The two of course, was the great outpouring of the
-
Holy Spirit. But as you can see, according to the
-
Word of God, God's desire for revival was too ordinary men,
-
Peter and John, untrained, uneducated fishermen, you know, and maybe
-
by now it's like former fishermen. But God used them
-
and revival and healing and the gospel began to spread,
-
you know, to the point where even people who wanted
-
to criticize them couldn't criticize because the proof was too much.
-
You know, they realized, this is an ordinary man. How
-
how where didn't know anything come from? And of course,
-
you know, when they had the proof of the healing
-
standing next to them, just praising, leaping and just owning
-
the law, they could say nothing. And I believe that,
-
you know, all of this was written down to inspire us,
-
to encourage us, to tell us, as believe us, that
-
that God is in the business of revival, and he
-
is in the business of using ordinary people.
-
His desire is for revival not just.
-
To be limited to overnight prayer meetings, but for the
-
revival to be poured out into the streets, for healing
-
to be pought out into the streets, for the Gospel
-
to be pot in the streets, for restoration to be
-
pought out into the streets. And my incourasion for us,
-
even as our Church is stepping into this theme of revival.
-
I'm saying, Church, let's move with God. God is moving.
-
God's been moving since Act Chapter one, two, three and
-
four and beyond. But are we moving with him? Will
-
we move with him? Will twenty twenty six be the year?
-
Let's not talk about twenty nine five, Let's talk twenty
-
twenty six. Will twenty twenty six be the year where
-
you say yes to moving with God? And I pray
-
that you will. Because no eye has seen, no year
-
has heard what God has in store for you. You, you know,
-
God has so much more testimony in Stall for you.
-
Praise God for the testimonies we heard this morning. But
-
God has more in stall for us.
-
Amen. God wants to use us more.
-
Why because there are more people out there who need
-
to hear the gospel, more people out there who need
-
to know that our God heals.
-
Amen.
-
And so what do we do? I got three points
-
for us. I need to preach very practical, and so
-
I got three points to help us. Remember point number
-
one involved involve Remember this, God wants to involve you.
-
And you can say that I'm ordinary, but God wants
-
to involve you. I don't speak English It's okay. Jesus
-
didn't either. Just think about it. Think about it in
-
some of us here, Oh I have such broken English,
-
you know, just you know, he probably knew English, but
-
he didn't speak it. No, seriously, don't don't go like
-
what ches he says. No, seriously, point me in the
-
Bible where Jesus for in English? No, he spoke in Hebrew,
-
he spoke Arame. Maybe he spoke Greek, but no he
-
didn't say you know why because the English language wasn't
-
invented yet.
-
So so just think about it. You know, I don't
-
know I speaking English? How can God use me?
-
Oh? Jesus, you speaking English? God us him. The apostles
-
needs to be English. Language is no issue to the Lord.
-
Hey man, right, I've broken It's okay, It's okay, It's okay.
-
God can use you. God wants to involve you sometimes.
-
The problem with.
-
Christians is that that we don't believe that God believes
-
in us. You know, we don't believe that God should
-
believes God say that I mean the business of using people.
-
I mean the business of using Peter and John. The
-
scripture says that this was uneducated, untrained you know, a
-
lot of you. Here are professionals expects. So you're educator.
-
You're more educated than apostle Peter. Just think about it.
-
Just think about it. You're more educated than apostle John.
-
If you showed the apostle John the iPad, he'll be like,
-
what is this? But you're but you didn't know how
-
to flip it around. So you're more educated, you're more trained.
-
So you see that the issue isn't with education. The
-
issue isn't with training. The issue is have you been
-
with Jesus. God wants to involve you? So I hope
-
of responses we will say yes, I will get involved.
-
I will get involved. You see, they got involved. They
-
didn't just go like Jesus, you want to see your
-
kingdom come, you will be done. No, they got on
-
with it. They went and they and they just say God,
-
use us, and they were on their way. They were
-
just on their way. You know, it says now, of course,
-
you know it sounds very spiritual. They're on their way
-
to pray. But back then there was a very common
-
thing for every uh a Jewish Man. They're expected to
-
pray three times a day, go to the temple, pray
-
three times a day. That's why you read the Book
-
of Daniel. He prayed three times a day. It was
-
just like a habit. In other words, they were just
-
doing something that was just their habit of doing. But
-
they involve God in it. You see, we have a
-
lot of habits in our lives. But man, times you
-
don't involve God. We don't involve God. We don't say
-
God use me, you know. You know we drive the
-
world by have we say God, use my drive, use
-
my drive for what I don't know. Just use my drive,
-
use my drift to speak to me, Use my drive
-
so that I can pray for someone.
-
You use my drive, you know some of us here.
-
You know, your exercise every day praise God.
-
Would you say God used my exercise beyond just losing weight.
-
Maybe there's something God has his stuff for you. Maybe
-
as your lifting weights. You know, God's showing you something.
-
You know, my wife recently discovered a new hobby called
-
playing with lego. I know, you know we are you know,
-
if we can't help it, we kind of help it.
-
You know.
-
We will with young people so much. We if people
-
ask me what am I say, I'm gen z anyway,
-
I'm just okaing. But but you'd be surprised, right, So
-
she was playing lego and then she's telling me no, like,
-
why is it not happening? And then she looked back
-
at the instructions and she realized or she missed a step.
-
And then she told me and say, oh, I think
-
God's teaching me something. Sometimes, you know, when life goes wrong,
-
you go back to the instruction and then you realize
-
that you miss a step, and I gotta preach, preach, preach.
-
But you see, you know sometimes we play, do we
-
involve God in our play? All right?
-
So they were going to pray, of course, but they
-
involve God in their prayer. You see, you would think
-
that I'm going to pray, so prayer is my thing. No,
-
they were going to pray. But even before going to pray,
-
the miracle happened. Why because they understood that they serve
-
a God who involves ordinary people. And they said, yes,
-
God involved us. Two point number two is this invite?
-
All my points started to let the I involve, invite, invite.
-
You see, the thing about prayer is not asking God
-
for Don't get me wrong. The Bible does invite us
-
to ask. But do you know that when Jesus taught
-
us how to pray the Lord's prayer. It doesn't start
-
with stuff. It starts with God. It starts with our
-
Father in heaven. Hello, be your name, your kingdom, Come,
-
Your will be done. What is that? That's an invitation
-
you're saying that God. You say, prayer is an invitation
-
for God to come into your life, for God to
-
draw here for his kingdom, for his presence, for his glory.
-
You see a lot of times we don't understand what prayers.
-
We don't understand what the gospel is. The gospel is
-
not just getting forgiveness and getting eternal life. The gospel
-
is getting Jesus, because guess who will be spending are
-
we eternal toy with with.
-
Jesus, with Jesus.
-
So so so when we when we say yes to
-
the godspel, we're saying yes to Jesus, not just forgiveness.
-
When we pray, it's not just about asking for things.
-
It's inviting God's kingdom to come for for God. You know,
-
I this is the you know and and all the
-
points w your sequence.
-
Right.
-
So, so first of all, it's okay, I'm ordinary by
-
one to be involved in the revival works of God.
-
So what do you do next? You need to invite
-
God's presence. You need to invite God's glory to fill
-
your life. Why because we are ordinary. You see that
-
the scripture didn't stop with like and they look at
-
Peter and John and this was untrained and uneducated men,
-
and they were amazed. So they were amazed because they
-
have been with Jesus. And so we're gonna invite lawd
-
Jesus come and do you know that the Lord's prayer?
-
You know, even this morning, you know, the Lord showed
-
me something all of a sudden, It's like starting to
-
talk and all that, and he's his I like to
-
believe he's getting more confident, even though that they you know,
-
I asked him what's this? You know, he calls me dada.
-
And then that day I saw him playing water. Go
-
what's this? He says, dada? So I'm not sure, am I?
-
Am? I?
-
Is he calling me water? Doesn't matter? But this morning, Halladijah,
-
this morning he woke up in a very good mood.
-
He woke up smiling. He saw me, and then the
-
first thing he did he ran to me, you know,
-
on the badio was running and then he said Daddy
-
and and I was like, oh, and I certainly had
-
this moment where the Lord says that you as much
-
as that pleases and touches your heart. Do you know
-
that one of the sweetest thing I just felt? The
-
Lord said, do you know one the sweetest thing we
-
can do is believers, is to start our day say
-
above father, right, I mean every parent is room you
-
can agree, right, right, Nothing makes you day more. You
-
your your your child who have been very difficult the
-
night before, but that morning woke up like a like
-
an angel turned to you. You you probably still remember
-
last night because you didn't have any sleep. Right, every
-
every parent here say amen, right, But all it needs
-
is for that child, your son, your daughter to look
-
in the eye and says mommy, daddy. And then suddenly
-
every sin is forgiven, you know what I'm saying. And
-
then suddenly you feel not just cities for given about
-
you as a parent. You feel like you've got a
-
second win. You You cuertainly remind yourself this is what
-
this is. You know, you certainly feel like I just
-
want to love you. Do you know that we serve
-
a relational God? Did you know that God, you know,
-
gave us the ability to have family so that we
-
can better understand him. Actually, because he is a father.
-
He's the eternal father with an eternal son. So so
-
God was a family unit from eternity, right, and and
-
and and I just caught there. I'm like, wow, God,
-
this is what prayer is. And Jesus taught us this
-
beautiful way to pray. Start by saying Father, and every
-
morning can encourage you. Do you know how you can
-
melt God's heart? Wake up, don't check your emails, don't
-
check your WhatsApp, don't scroll. Wake up and made the
-
first thing you do, just make it a habit, even
-
in your bed. Make the Lord's prayer a habit, a
-
new habit.
-
Then you wake up.
-
Let the first confessions of your lips in the morning.
-
Be our Father in heaven. Hello, be your name, your
-
kingdom come. Oh, I've got examine today, by your kingdom.
-
Come.
-
Well, I've got interviews today. But your kingdom come. I've
-
got deadlines today. But your kingdom come, and your will
-
be done. Your kingdom. Why, because your kingdom is beautiful,
-
Your kingdom is amazing. There's no sickness in your kingdom.
-
There's blessing in your kingdom. There's restoration in your kingdom.
-
That's healing in your kingdom. There's protection in your kingdom.
-
That's revival in your kingdom. And I'm saying that God,
-
bring all that into this ordinary vessel, into this ordinary life.
-
I'm going to work, but let your kingdom follow me.
-
Let let let let the perfume of your kingdom follow
-
me wherever I go. God Jesus is inviting us to
-
say that not only do we touch God's heart, but
-
I guarantee your life will be changed.
-
You know, you don't know you don't need coffee. You know,
-
my God is trying to teach me. You know he's
-
in that day now.
-
I know you love coffee, and there are days in
-
the morning where I tell myself and I need coffee.
-
You know I can't.
-
You know have you been there some of your addicted people?
-
You know, we we say things to ourselves, We matter
-
to ourselves. I can't do this. No, we almost say
-
I need like whatever, email your guess that I can't.
-
I can't do this. I need my coffee first. And
-
the lawyer is trying to say that, Dave, would you
-
say that about me? I can't do this. I need
-
my time with Jesus. First, my time with Jesus. Then
-
suddenly you know it is time with Jesus. Is the
-
real coffee for ourselves? Amen, So invite, invite, Amen, involve
-
God once doesn't matter. I know some of us were
-
sitting here, maybe your student, maybe your professional, maybe your housewife,
-
or maybe you are very young, you know, in school
-
and if you're so ordinary.
-
But our God can use you.
-
Our God uses students, or God uses housewives, or God
-
us us. If you're employed, unemployed, God can use you.
-
Educated and educated God can use you. But that using
-
doesn't just happen.
-
It is a.
-
Partnership that that we need to play a part. We
-
need to say, yes, we are ordinary, so God feel
-
me so that this ordinary cup becomes less ordinary, This
-
ordinary lawyer becomes less as ordinary. There's this, this ordinary
-
family becomes less ordinary. Invit, invit. They were going to pray.
-
They were going to pray. Peter and John were going
-
to pray. They made it a daily habit. It says
-
that ninth hour, which is technically three pm, and so
-
that means that they would have been at the temple
-
at nine am, twelve pm, and then three pm.
-
They were going there three times. A day.
-
They will say, God, your cannot come, Your will be
-
done in our lives. Come and move, Come and move.
-
Part number three is this be intentional. Be intentional. So God,
-
I'm ordinary, but I can invite you. And after we've been,
-
after we've invited the presence of God and we feel
-
him feel us, And then what's next?
-
Do we just wait for a sign?
-
Because sometimes that's what Christians think, right, God, use me
-
show me a sign. So we go to sleep, you know,
-
thinking that, oh God, if you drop a vision, if
-
you drop a dream, you know, and then it just
-
because you're just no. But but they were just going
-
to the temple. But they were intentional. They were intentional.
-
They weren't sleepwalking. Sometimes we can sleep walk to church. Ouch,
-
we're gonna sleepwalk to our prayer meeting out we're just
-
checking off a list. They weren't checking off the lists.
-
Sometimes we go to what we're checking off a list.
-
We do all quiet time, like checking off a list.
-
And God is saying, no, be present, be intentional, because
-
there's something, there's a mission and the way to pray.
-
There was a mission. God showed them. They've got to
-
show up in order for God to show them. Sometimes
-
we want God to show us before we show up.
-
Does it make sense? God tell me where to go
-
that I will go, God says, go and I'll tell
-
you what to do. You know.
-
Sometimes we go like God, you know, which you know?
-
I don't know? You know, and no missions is coming out?
-
Which mission should I go to? All a missions? Should
-
I go overseas mission? You know? Should I go this?
-
Or should I go that?
-
God says, just go and then wherever you go, just
-
be intentional and God will use you. Logo overseas doesn't matter,
-
you know, logo come with you, what doesn't matter. Just go.
-
But as you go, don't sleep walk as you go,
-
don't be religious as you go, be present, you know,
-
be intentional and God will show you.
-
Because let's not let's not forget. You know.
-
Sometimes we read the world of God, you know, we
-
gotta just pause and let the world have God breathed.
-
There are probably a lot of bankers there, but God
-
showed them which one exactly.
-
There's probably a lot of people begging. And then that
-
was the third hour.
-
So so this guy was begging from morning to evening
-
and they were going there to pray at the third
-
hour that they were there twice prior, if you follow
-
their local customs. But it was at the third hour,
-
it was at the sorry, at the ninth hour, at
-
the it was then that that God says, turn to
-
this person and do something.
-
God is interested. God is the one with the information.
-
We just need to be sensitive.
-
And so my encourage is this, go to work, study,
-
you know, be a good citizen, be be contributing members
-
of society. But as you're doing that, allow God to
-
guide your steps. Allow God to tell you where to
-
fix your eyes. You know, as I'm saying this, I'm
-
learning to practice it myself. You know, just even yesterday,
-
you know, I I you know, we were privileged enough
-
to be invited to one of our UK church partners,
-
you know, wedding reception, and uh that it's another testimony
-
in itself. Uh. This this young lady who when she
-
went to London she didn't know the Lord, and uh,
-
you know, through different invitations to our church, she came
-
to know the Lord. She gave a life to Jesus,
-
got baptized last year and h but she had already
-
been married. She had already counts like you know, for
-
for some of the younger ones and they registered their
-
their marriage. But then maybe like a year later, they
-
do their dinner reception in Malaysia and this young lady,
-
you know, she's she's baptized believer, and she's like, you know,
-
can can you do a blessing ceremony? You know, I
-
know we're already married, but but I'm now only now
-
I'm a Christian. I would love God to bless and
-
and her heart is even so that my family members
-
can can have a glimpse of what looks like, so
-
that even through the wedding message, they can have a
-
little faint echo of what the gospel is like. And uh,
-
it's such you know again revival revival that people don't
-
get married, but they will be like, you know, I
-
want to use it this time. I want to do
-
it right. I want to use it to girl if
-
I God. And so we're provisionedough to yesterday be there
-
to be part of that to bless this couple. And
-
even while we were there, not just talking to different
-
family members, you know, different ones, oh thank you, thank
-
you this, And then I remember I was just there
-
and you know, I was looking around in the crowd
-
and and and recently, you know, I don't know whether
-
it's like being a new parent count thing I've I've
-
been like, it's just given me one extra thing to
-
talk about, and uh, you know, one extra thing to
-
be shameless about. So I just go around and I
-
you know, this other couple, you know, the lady was
-
expecting and should sit there, you know, so she was
-
definitely expecting, you know, So I was just you know,
-
I was just looking at and guessing so I could tell, okay,
-
maybe you know, third trimester getting a bit heavier.
-
So I went over there and go like, you know, like,
-
when when are you doing? You know, what was I doing?
-
You know, I was being intentional.
-
I was looking around and I'm saying that, you know, God,
-
you're you're moving this and I don't just want I
-
don't even though I was there to share the message
-
and bless a couple, but I didn't want to just
-
share the message and bless a couple. I was looking,
-
I was scanning the crowd. God, let something intentional happen.
-
I saw this couple sitting over there and they were Hindu.
-
So I went over there and talked to them and
-
then they were like, oh, thank you. You know, sometimes
-
it's so funny, you know, Christians, sometimes it's the people
-
from other faiths that have a higher They put more
-
respect to men and women of ground. You know, it's
-
like that, you know, you know, oh, pasta, Oh please
-
don't bother to me. I'm like, but because in the
-
culture are so used to honoring, you know that the
-
men and women of faith and I and I talk
-
to them, and I go like, what are you do?
-
Oh?
-
You know, also excited, ask and do you know the gender?
-
Blah blah blah blah blah. And they're explaining to me,
-
you know this and that how they know the bride
-
and groom. And then as I'm telling them, no practical
-
fun things that I now know as a new parent,
-
oh or two more months, Oh please enjoy, go for
-
more movies, go for more days, because it will be
-
a wall before you get that back anyway, you know.
-
And uh and and then after all that, you know,
-
KLF like opening Icebreaker chat, I said, can.
-
I pray for you?
-
Can I pray for you? And they were like, yes,
-
of course, so can I pray? I know you don't
-
know because they say, we we we don't want to
-
know the gender. We want to be surprised. And I
-
say that, by can I pray for you? Pray for safety?
-
Live?
-
And they were like, was so hungry and so open
-
for me to pray. But I wasn't being super spiritual.
-
It wasn't like I woke up that morning with a
-
vision and God says that there will be a Hindu
-
campos sitting across there, go and talk to them and
-
let them go. No, I was there, and I was
-
just being intentional. I was saying that I'm a child
-
of God and what I carry is the presence of God.
-
And so God, show me who I can bless, show
-
me who I can pray for? Can imagine if our
-
entire church start doing.
-
It on a daily basis.
-
Don't just show up to work, I mean show up
-
to work, be excellent at it, and get good testimonies
-
for it. But can you also on top that, go
-
like who can I Who can I pray for? Who
-
can I bless? You know, sometimes we're over spiritual in
-
the wrong way. Right now, it's not just Chinese year,
-
but it's a fasting month. And uh, you know, do
-
you know that a lot of our Muslim brother sisters
-
and colleagues, they are more hungry than you realize more
-
open to prayer than you realize. And I pray that
-
we will learn to be a little bit not just bold,
-
but just be intentional, you know. And and and you
-
know one thing, I you know, I I do you
-
know because coming from Malaysia living in the UK, like
-
you know, you're you're not afraid to talk to people
-
from different backgrounds, you know, because we're so used to multiculturalism, right,
-
and so you know, uh, sometimes I shock, you know,
-
the local Muslims stare by, you know, just give them
-
a greeting or a slamon. They go looking with me
-
like where you're from. I'm from Malaysia. Then they go, oh, happy,
-
but I'm a Christian. Oh, and they get being confused
-
because they just you know, when they hear I'm from Malayia,
-
they get happy because they know mostly girl, but I'm Christians.
-
Oh but I would like to but but how are you?
-
And talk to them and I'll always offer the prayer,
-
especially in the fast thing, and say, may God revealed
-
himself to you, and he welcomes it because of course
-
he wants it. But you know, but I want it different,
-
you know, I'm like, may the True God reveal himself
-
and because guess what, they're in the perfect position to
-
receive it. They're fasting. Do you know when you first
-
fasting is a very spiritual act. So in one day's
-
a prayer, fast is coming. When you fast, it's a
-
very spiritual, something very spiritual happens. But but sometimes we
-
think that the devil's bigger. Oh the kind of fast things. No, no, no,
-
no fast thing is fasting, and my God is bigger.
-
So they can fast for the wrong wason. But they're
-
fasting anyway. But my God can open their eyes so
-
many you know, we've also in our church, we've also
-
occasionally have.
-
Had uh people from Iran and people from you know.
-
In fact, one of them many years ago, there was
-
a someone from who used to watch it Excyberjaya Bruce
-
who who who got a know asylum in uh Argentina.
-
But then he went to UK to look for well
-
and he came to our church. He said, I ex Cyberji,
-
so google ac church. She came to exce London and
-
anyway you can find out more. Some of you who
-
are old enough, No, Bruce and his son is all
-
grown up, uh and and he shad you know as Moslim.
-
He said that I came to know Christ in ex
-
Cyber Jaya because I had a dream. I had a
-
dream about Jesus but he was bloodied. It was a
-
very scary thing. But for us, a bloody crisis is
-
a sound of redemption. For them, it's like what is
-
this horror movie? Said Jesus whose blood is coming? And
-
then saying that I and he heard it in his dream.
-
He says, you are forgiven, You are forgiven. He didn't
-
understand why would this, like did I do something to this?
-
And then he says that it's only when I came
-
to ex cyber Jia.
-
I heard you say.
-
It was passa jack who was preaching and he hurt
-
the gospel and then he understood what he saw.
-
You see, God is moving.
-
He's looking for men and women, young and old, trained
-
and trained who will say yes, God involved me, and
-
yes God, because I'm so ordinary, I need more of
-
your presence, I need more of your word. I need
-
I need your fresh anointing every day. I need my
-
daily break every day. I need your kingdom to come,
-
your will to be done in my life as it
-
is in heaven. And then say, God, help me to
-
be intentional today. I'm going to walk, I'm going to school,
-
I'm driving on the road. Help me to be intentional,
-
because there's somebody you want me to bless, somebody. You
-
want me to share the gospel to somebody. You want
-
me to invite, the invite to Holmes. There's somebody I
-
can pray for. There's somebody. Because God, you are moving
-
and this is what ordinary revival looks like. Let's pray.
-
Thank you. Lord.
-
Lord, We thank you just that you love us so
-
much that you will use us. You love us so
-
much that even though we will sinn us, you didn't
-
say I will discard this useless people. Know you say
-
I will redeem them. I will give my life to
-
them so that they can have a hope in the future.
-
And because of that, Lord, with self a God who
-
is so gracious, you could have. Lord, you could have
-
just wipe us all out and start a new But Lord,
-
you chose to come into this world and make us new.
-
And so God will thank you. We thank you.
-
We can never thank you enough, and help us to
-
never forget that we are standing, living, breathing by your
-
grace nothing else. And Lord, we owe it to the
-
people around us. To share the good news of this grace.
-
And so before we close, I just want to pray.
-
I felt the Lord say, pray for people here who
-
say that God, I want to be used by you.
-
If that's you and you said that, you know, maybe
-
twenty twenty five was not a great year. You lost
-
yourself your faith, waned. Hey, we're not talking about the past.
-
We're talking about now. God is saying pray for those
-
that want to make this account for his glory. So
-
that's you and you say that, I'm ordinary byself of
-
a God who loves the ordinary and wants to involve
-
the God ordinary. So I want to get involved. If
-
that's you, I want you to raise up hands of
-
faith onto God, and I want to encourage you to
-
invite the Holy Spirit to just give you a double
-
portion of His anointing this year. And even as you're
-
inviting the Lord, I want to pray for you. I'll pray.
-
I want to pray for God's anointing. I want to
-
pray for God's dominion. I want to pray for God's
-
kingdom to come and overshadow your life.
-
His kingdom to.
-
Descend into your world, every area of your world, every
-
area of your life, family, private, professional, your prayer life,
-
and cause.
-
There to be a revival right now.
-
In the name of Jesus, you see every hand that's
-
hungry for you to use them. We don't know how
-
you will use this slow, but we want to be
-
used by you. We want to make this your account.
-
We want our lives to count. And so God, would
-
you pour out your anointing, Would you pour out your
-
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, if there's anyone here today, Lord
-
who feel like maybe their heart has grown cold, would
-
you cause a revival to happen right now and take
-
that heart of stone away and replace you with a
-
heart of flesh that beats for you again. God, I
-
pray right now, in the name of Jesus, give different
-
ones here a real hunger for prayer, a real hunger
-
for your word, a real hunger to please you, to
-
sit with you and to enjoy, and do not rush
-
through their time with you. I pray for a revival
-
of a devotional life, revival.
-
That people will be excited again to spend time with you.
-
I pray for a revival that even busy professionals will
-
make time to spend time with you. They will put
-
other things second so that they can spend another thirty
-
minutes with you. I see it, I see I declare
-
I prophesied some of you here. You're gonna have a
-
new hunger for prayer and Suddainly you will fine, it's
-
not like you. You're still the same. But suddenly you
-
find that Netflix doesn't satisfy anymore. You will find that
-
that YouTube doesn't satisfy anymore. You will find that, you know,
-
all this business finance talk doesn't satisfy any more. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
-
it's okay. You know, other people are crazy about it.
-
But somehow you just feel like it doesn't satisfy. It
-
doesn't feel But why it becomes cross giving you a
-
new hunger, a hunger to serve him, a hunger to
-
be his living walking vessels that will carry his presence
-
into the world today. And suddenly you will find it
-
more joy doing that than just watching another video. Yes,
-
a lie, you have more drive to do that than
-
just scrolling through Instagram. Suddenly you find I declare that
-
I prophesy that Lord, a new appetite, a new appetite, Lord, Lord,
-
we don't want less appetite for the things of the world,
-
and more appetite for you, and not just spirituality for
-
spiritual sake, but Lord, to be used by you more boldness. Lord,
-
give us confidence to pray. Give us the words to pray, simple, short,
-
sharp prayers. You talk, Peter and John to pray simple short,
-
shop prayers, gold and silver. I have none, but what
-
I have I give to you in the name of
-
Jesus Christ of Nazeris. Get up and walk. Help us
-
to preach. Help us to pray that kind of prayers,
-
confident prayers, prayers of healing and blessing, gospel prayers the
-
name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Live in the name
-
of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Walk in the name of
-
Jesus Christ of nas Earth. Help us pray in your name.
-
Open our eyes.
-
Lord, Lord.
-
We don't need our spiritual eyes to open. We just
-
need our physical eyes to open to what you want
-
to do.
-
And Jesus they me pray. Amen. Amen, Amen, as you
-
got praise. Amen, You've got praise.
-
Before we're close today, service, I just wanted quickly, I
-
want to just wonder. I know, is anyone here you
-
don't know, Jesus, Maybe a friend invited you. You've been coming,
-
You've been discovering the Christian faith and something and week
-
by week, time of the time, conversation of the conversation, prayer,
-
of the prayer, you just feel like there's something real,
-
something real, something I want you to know today. Stop procrastinating.
-
Say yes to Jesus. Say yes to Jesus.
-
He is real.
-
That's why you keep coming back. There's something about Jesus
-
that you cannot shake off, or maybe some of us here.
-
You are a believer, but you've you've you ran away,
-
you ran away from your faith, you beckislated. But today
-
you are not here by chance. This is the day
-
that the Law has made and you are here. God
-
is calling you back. Come back, my child, Come back.
-
I have great plans for you. I want to restore you,
-
heal you. I want to use you. And God uses
-
you in a beautiful way. The world uses you and
-
spits you out. The law uses you and use you
-
to be a blessing. Why because He first gave his
-
life for you. If that's you, I want you to
-
know that becoming a child of God, coming back to
-
his family is like abc.
-
A admit that you need God. Admit that you need God.
-
The Bible says that we're all sinners compared to our
-
Holy God. We are all sinners who need his forgiveness,
-
which leads us to be believe in Jesus. Jesus wasn't
-
just some good teacher. He's the son of man. He's
-
the son of God, the eternal son of God, who
-
came to earth not only to teach us how to
-
live and teach us how to love God, but also
-
he died. The Bible says he died for our sins.
-
He took all of our sinful habits or pasts or mistakes.
-
As God, he absorbed all that into himself. And then
-
he died on the cross two thousand years ago. And
-
then he rose again. Because all that we have done
-
wrong in our lives, that wrong he needs to be
-
dealt with. Justice needs to be done. But God loves
-
us so much that he didn't allow the hammer of
-
justice to fall on us. By he fell on his son.
-
His son took the death penalty for us, and he
-
rose again, proving that he is not just mere man.
-
Because only God can overcome the grave. And what are
-
we to do when we're faced with the fact that
-
there's a God who loves us gave his life for us,
-
came back for us. Well, nothing except to commit our
-
lives to him. God is a relation on God, and
-
every relationship works because it's committed relationship. So would you
-
commit your life to following Jesus and allowing him to
-
change you bit by bid, day by day, week by week,
-
and change him until you become more and more and
-
more like the child of God that you've always meant
-
to be. So, friends, if that's you, today you'll like
-
to accept Jesus Christ to your law and savior. Or
-
today you'll like to come home, you know, because we're
-
running our time. I want to just ma me invite
-
you to pray together with us.
-
It is okay.
-
I'm going to have activ fash up this sample prayer
-
on the screen and we're gonna pray. And Bible says
-
that if you believe and confess with your mouth that
-
Jesus Christ is Lord, you will be safe. So this
-
is an invitation to put your faith in Jesus by
-
inviting him into your life.
-
