God's Providential Hand

Good evening. Welcome to voice in the wilderness. I'm Don Noble of Pure

Heart Ministries, and I welcome you to day with exceedingly abundantly and overflowing joy.

It's going to be Thanksgiving in a few days, and so I wrote

a message that I really trust that you will enjoy. So sit back and

relax. I've titled it God's Providential Hand. It's a chilly fall evening,

so cozy up by the fire, a hot chocolate or latte with whipped cream,

and as the fire glows, think back to a time when people were

passionate with purpose. Over four hundred years have passed since a small group of

people determined to practice their faith without constraint of the government and decided to embark

on a journey that forever changed my life and yours forever. Obstacles abounded,

yet two great milestones in world history had taken place that set the stage for

this wild ride across the Atlantic, Luther's Reformation in the early sixteenth century and

the Scientific Revolution, which spawned the development of navigational tools. Because of the

scientific theories of three prominent scientists, Nicholas Copernicus, Johannes Kepler, and Galileo

Galilei. Their ideas were at the heart of developing reliable positioning necessary for navigation

at sea. This enabled the advance of exploration and colonization of the New World.

The Reformation movement was gaining momentum, and people realized the importance of the

individual having a direct relationship with God. Protestantism prompted writ religious revolution and spiritual

revival across Europe, and so the providential hand of God was at work.

The first British settlement in North America was not Jamestown. In fifteen eighty five,

the Queen of England approved a group of settlers to embark for the shores

of North America. They landed on an island known as Roanoke, named after

the Indian tribe of that area, but within a few years it failed,

with all the inhabitants perishing and never being accounted for. The next attempt was

in sixteen o seven at Jamestown, a place not far from Roanoke. The

Jamestown Colony was sponsored by the Virginia Company in London, whose charters specified the

spreading of the Gospel as being one of its core missions. But just like

Roanoke, Jamestown, being predominantly settled by men, would have failed had it

not been resupplied. They also made a compact by establishing a self government.

Back in England, a small group known as the Separatists believed it was necessary

to completely break from a government affiliated church. In sixteen o eight, the

King denied their request to start their own church. They knew they had to

leave England, so they headed to Holland. Their first attempt was unsuccessful,

and the second attempt was almost as disastrous. The ship almost sank, it

took on water and began to live. William Bradford, who was among those

in desperate prayer, recorded that almost immediately the ship not only righted herself,

but shortly afterwards the violent storm began to abate. The providential hand of God

at work. They arrived safely in Holland and eventually settled in the city of

Leiden. Over the next few years, more Separatists arrived, including the charismatic

minister John Robinson, and they grew to over five hundred over the next ten

years, but over time they grew discontent There. Their children were beginning to

learn to speak Dutch, and they were concerned that their young adults could face

possible conscription into the army being threatened by Belgium and France. They heard that

Jamestown was now thriving, so a consensus emerged within the pilgrim community to pursue

the New World. They were to leave July of sixteen twenty, but were

delayed until September sixteenth. They set sail for the area at the mouth of

the Hudson River that's where they intended to land. Because of the delay,

they now faced weather that turned out to be a harrowing passage across the Atlantic

Ocean. Gale force winds and steep waves rising almost one hundred feet high from

trough to crest, battered and pitched the Mayflower. I'd like to stop there

for a second, and I just want you, as you're sitting there by

the fire, imagine what it must have been like to be on this ship

being battered by one hundred foot waves. I just want you to appreciate the

difficulty it took for them to arrive on the shores of what we now call

America. At one point, the sea was so ferocious it split one of

the ship's main beams. Ha ha ha. Again God's providential hand. One

of the passengers brought along what was called a house jack that was used to

raise heavy timber posts. So with six men, the jack was screwed,

raising the split beam and providing essential support to maintain the integrity of the ship.

Of the one hundred and two passengers, roughly forty were secular crewmen and

merchant adventurers. Now in sight of land, facing hunger from depleted and spoiled

food, some of the secular passengers were clamoring for rebellion, so William Brewster

and William Bradford drafted a governing agreement to quell the unrest and ensure the establishment

of a unified settlement acceptable to the secular crewmen, acceptable to the merchant adventurers

and the Christian brethren. That document, known as the Mayflower Compact, was

introduced quote solemnly and mutually in the presence of God and one another, and

was specifically referred to as a covenant end quote to break. In origin,

a covenant was understood to be an unbreakable agreement. William Bradford had a deep

appreciation of Judaism and the Old Testament, and chose to write the preface to

his quote of Plymouth Plantation, which contained twenty five Biblical passages in the original

Hebrew. Every able man aboard the Mayflower had to sign the Mayflower Compact before

any could step foot in the New World. Blown off course, the ship

arrived at Provincetown at the tip of Cape Cod at sunrise on Saturday, November

the eleventh, sixteen twenty. The Mayflower Compact embodied the fundamental principles of self

government and common consent. Thus, the Mayflower Compact established the foundation for democratic

government in America, and it is often cited as the cornerstone of the US

Constitution. It is noteworthy that forty one Pilgrims appeal to the Triune God for

protection in their signing. The Mayflower Compact foreshadowed the quote firm reliance on the

protection of Divine Providence end expressed in the last sentence of the Declaration of Independence,

which the fifty six delegates to the Continental Congress signed in Philadelphia on August

second, seventeen seventy six. The fact that all the Pilgrims survived the squalid

and cramped ship quarters during that treacherous crossing was again the providential hand of God

proved to be severe and harsh, with over half the Pilgrim's dying about thirty,

including half of the women. Four whole families perished, but it could

have been worse. Again, the providential hand of God blew them off course,

but it was where they were supposed to settle. You see. Four

years earlier, an aggressive, warring tribe of Indians, the Patuxate, had

been entirely wiped out by an extraordinary plague. A more friendly and approachable tribe

moved in near Plymouth, and miraculously, among that tribe was an Indian fluent

in English by the name of Squanto. Without him, perhaps none of the

pilgrim would have survived. The providential hand of God. Six years earlier,

he was kidnapped by a British fur trader and taken to Spain. He finally

was able to get to England with help, and he met a wealthy merchant

who took him in as an indentured servant. For four years, he learned

English, and in sixteen nineteen Squanto succeeded in getting passage on a British merchant

ship bound for New England. Miraculously, he found his way back to the

area of his birth near Plymouth, only to find his tribe had perished.

The providential hand of God once again, the new tribe, Poconoket, accepted

him. Four months after arriving in Plymouth, Squanto and his friend Samrset facilitated

the signing of a peace treaty between the Pilgrims and Massasowit, the chief of

the Wampanag tribe. That peace lasted fifty years. That following summer, the

Pilgrims were able to have a harvest due to the assistance of Squanto. The

Pilgrims wanted to celebrate their harvest to thank God, so they invited the Wampanoegg

tribe. Three hundred of them arrived to feast for three days with the Pilgrims.

This became known as the First Thanksgiving, and in seventeen eighty nine,

President George Washington, shortly after taking office as our first president, along with

Congress, proclaimed Thanksgiving to be set aside as a national holiday. So Thanksgiving

is the very first holiday of the New America. Now, I thought it

was important to lay this foundation because recently something occurred that is trying to undermine

our nation and once again indoctrinate young people with lies and falsehoods about who we

are as Americans. Let me be clear, it was the providential hand of

God that brought these Christian people from England to establish a nation founded on the

principles and values of the Bible. If you dislike America, then you will

believe the lies that the liberal media and the Marxist political machine is spewing forth,

such as the sixteen nineteen project, which we discussed months ago. In

the last week, people have been responding on TikTok to a letter written by

Osama bin Laden called a Letter to America. These videos have gone viral,

and I want to share a few excerpts from his letter because I think it's

very eye opening and I think it'll help you understand the current situation with regard

to Gaza and Israel. It certainly helped me to understand where this is all

coming from now. This letter was written November twenty fourth, two thousand and

two, so roughly a year after nine to eleven. It's quite a long

document and it starts out just saying, in the name of Allah, the

most Gracious, most merciful, why are we fighting and opposing you? And

what are we calling you too? And what do we want from you.

As for the first question, why are we fighting you and opposing you,

The answer is simple, because you attacked us and continued to attack us.

You attacked us in Palestine, Palestine which has sunk under military occupation for more

than eighty years. The British handed over Palestine with your help and your support

to the Jews who have occupied it for more than fifty years, years overflowing

with oppression, tyranny, crimes, killing, expulsion, destruction, and devastation.

The creation and continuation of Israel is one of the greatest crimes, and

you are the leaders of its criminals. And of course there is no need

to explain and prove the degree of a mayor and support for Israel. The

creation of Israel is a crime which must be erased. Each and every person

whose hands have become polluted in the contribution towards this crime must pay its price,

and pay for it heavily. It brings us both laughter and tears to

see that you have not yet tired of repeating your fabricated lies that the Jews

have a historical right to Palestine as it was promised to them in the Torah.

Anyone who disputes with them on this alleged fact is accused of anti Semitism.

This is one of the most fallacious widely circulated fabrications in history. The

people of Palestine are pure Arabs and original Semites. It is the Muslims who

are the inheritors of Moses and the inheritors of the real Torah that has not

been changed. Muslims believe in all of the prophets, including Abraham, Moses,

Jesus, and Muhammad. Peace and blessings of Allah be upon them all.

If the followers of Moses have been promised to write to Palestine in the

Torrah, then the Muslims are most worthy, are the most worthy nation of

this. When the Muslims conquered Palestine and drove out the Romans, Palestine and

Jerusalem returned to Islam, the religion of all the prophets, Peace be upon

them. Therefore, the call to a historical righte to Palestine cannot be raised

against the Islamic Umah that believes in all the prophets of Allah. Now I'm

not writing, I'm not reading this to you. I'm reading it to you

in a sequence, but I'm not reading the whole document to you. So

I'll just continue. You have supported the Jews in their idea that Jerusalem is

their capital and agreed to move your embassy there with your help and under your

protection. The Israelis are planning to destroy the al Ocximosque under the protection of

your weapons. Charone entered the al Oximosque to pollute it as a preparation to

capture and destroy it. The American Army is part of the American people.

It is the very same people who shamelessly helping the Jews fight against us.

The American people are the ones who employ both their men and their women,

the American forces which attacked us. This is why the American people cannot be

innocent of all the crimes committed by the Americans and Jews against us. Allah

the Almighty legislation the permission and the option to take revenge. Thus, if

we are attacked, then we have the right to attack back. Whoever has

destroyed our villages and towns, then we have a right to destroy their villages

and towns. Whoever has stolen our wealth, then we have the right to

destroy their economy. And whoever has killed our civilians, then we have the

right to kill theirs. The American government and press still refuses to answer the

question why did they attack us in New York and Washington. Well, ask

for the second question that we want to answer. What are we calling you

to America? And what do we want from you? The first thing that

we're calling you to is Islam, the religion of the unification of God,

a freedom from associating partners with Him, and the rejection of this of complete

love of Him, the exalted, of complete submission to His law, and

discarding the opinions of all others and theories. The second thing we call you

to is to stop your oppression, your lies, immorality, and debachery that

has spread among you. We call you to be a people of manner's principles,

honor, and purity, to reject the immoral acts of fornication, homosexuality,

in Toxican scambling, and trading with interest. We call you to all

of this that you may be freed from that which you have been caught up

in, that you may be freed from the deceptive lies that you are a

great nation that your leaders spread amongst you to conceal you from the despicable state

to which you have reached. It is saddening to tell you, America,

that you are the worst civilization witnessed by the history of mankind. You are

the nation who, rather than ruling by the Shariah of Allah aw in its

constitution and laws, choose to invent your own laws as you will and desire.

You separate religion from your policies, contradicting the pure nature which affirms absolute

authority to the Lord and your creator. You flee from the embarrassing question posed

to you. How is it possible for Allah the Almighty to create his creation,

grant them power over all the creatures in land, grant them all the

amenities of life, and then deny them that which are most in need of

You are a nation that permits acts of immorality, and you consider them to

be pillars of personal freedom. You have continued to sink down this abyss from

level to level until incest has spread among you, in the face of which,

in the face of which neither your sense of honor nor your laws object.

Who can forget your present Clinton's immoral acts committed in the Oval office.

After that you did not even bring him to account, other than that he

made a mistake, after which everything passed with no punishment. Is there a

worse kind of event for which your name will go down in history and remembered

by nations. You are a nation that permits gambling in all of its forms.

You are a nation that exploits women like consumer products or advertising tools,

calling upon customers to purchase them. You use women to serve passengers, visitors,

and strangers to increase your profit margins. You then rant that you support

the liberation of women. And because of all of this, you have been

described in history as a nation that spreads diseases that were unknown to man in

the past. Go ahead and both to the nations of man that you brought

them aids as a satanic American invention. You have destroyed nature with your industrial

waste and gases more than any other nation in history. Your law is the

law of the rich and wealthy people who hold sway in their political parties and

fund their election campaigns with their gifts. Behind them stand the Jews who control

your policies, media, and economy. The freedom and democracy that you call

to is for yourselves and your white race only. As for the rest of

the world, you impose upon them your monstrous, destructive policies and governments which

you call the American friends, yet you prevent them from establishing democracies. You

are the last ones to respect the resolutions and policies of international law, yet

you claim to want to selectively punish anyone else who does the same. Israel

has for more than fifty years been pushing you and resolutions and rules against the

wall, with the full support of America. We also advise you to stop

supporting Israel and to end your support of the Indians in Kashmir, the Russians

against the Chechens, and to also see supporting the Manila government against Muslims in

Southern Philippines. We also advise you to pack your luggage and get out of

our lands. We desire for your goodness, guidance, and righteousness, so

do not force us to send you back as cargo in coffins. We also

call you to deal with us and interact with us on the basis of mutual

interests and benefits rather than the policies of subdual theft and occupation, and not

to continue your policy of supporting the Jews, because this will result in more

disasters for you. And if you fail to respond to all these conditions,

then prepare for fight with the Islamic nation, the nation of monotheism that puts

complete trust on Allah and fears none other than Him, The nation which is

addressed by its Qur'an with the words do you fear them? Allah has more

right than you should fear him. If you are believers, fight against them,

so that Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them, and

give you victory over them, and heal the breasts of believing people and remove

the anger of their believer's hearts. Allah accepts the repentance of whom he wills.

Allah is all knowing and all wise. So do not become weak against

your enemy, nor be sad, and you will be superior. The Islamic

nation that was able to dismiss and destroy the previous evil empires like yourself,

the nation that rejects your attacks, wishes to remove your evils, and is

prepared to fight you. You are well aware that the Islamic nation, from

the very core of its soul, despises your haughtiness and arrogance. And if

the Americans refuse to listen to our advice and the goodness and guidance, guidance

and righteousness that we call them to then be aware that you will lose this

crusade that Bush began, just like the other previous crusades in which you were

humiliated by the hands of the MoU Jahadeen, fleeing to your home in great

silence and disgrace. If the Americans do not respond, then their fate will

be that of the Soviets who fled from Afghanistan to deal with their military defeat,

political break up, ideological downfall, and economic bankrupts. This is our

message to the Americans as an answer to theirs. Well, it almost sounds

like that was written, you know, like two months ago, but obviously

it has surfaced. And back in two thousand and two, I didn't even

know that Osama bin Laden had written a so called quote letter to America.

But I don't want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth. America

is still a great nation and we need a great spiritual wakening because these lies

that are being I mean, I don't go on TikTok, but if you're

on TikTok, you can watch what people say. These are Americans, these

are young American people, and it's disgrace. It's disgraceful. Listening to what

they say, like they believe all this nonsense. Obviously you heard the lies

that he spewed forth about You know that Jerusalem is not the eternal city.

Well, guess what, that's scriptural. So we do need a great spiritual

awakening. Now we will be celebrating Thanksgiving in a few days, and so

I'm asking you to please take time to thank the Lord for his mercy toward

us. Thank him for everything he has blessed you with. Have a grateful

heart, have a heart filled with his love. Many blessings to you this

Thanksgiving as you enjoy your loved ones and all that delicious food. I do
