Good evening. Welcome to Voice in the Wilderness. I'm Don
-
Noble of Pureheart Ministries, and I welcome you today with
-
exceedingly abundantly and overflowing joy. Several weeks ago I mentioned
-
that I would be starting a new study on the
-
Book of Romans. Now that's not going to be on
-
the radio. That's at my Bible study. So I teach
-
Bible Study on Wednesday evenings starting at six pm, and
-
we meet at top Hat Pools and Stoves, twenty two
-
fifty eight Main Street, Wheeling, West Virginia. That's twenty two
-
fifty eight Main Street, Wheeling, West Virginia. This is Paul's
-
greatest masterpiece, the Book of Romans. This is this is
-
a huge study, and this is a study that every
-
Christian should be a part of because it's it's the foundation.
-
It's the foundation for your faith. And I would really
-
really like you to join us. I've been encouraging people
-
who live locally to come to my Bible study. I'm
-
telling you you would learn a lot. You would be amazed.
-
I think my teaching style is it's definitely different, and
-
that is that I take questions from anybody about anything
-
that's pertaining to what we're talking about or not, so
-
that so that we just let the Holy Spirit move
-
and that way what needs to be taught gets taught.
-
Now I will be teaching that Book of Romans line
-
by line, precept by precept, and I just would really
-
really encourage those of you who live locally, please come
-
and connect with us. You're really really missing out. I
-
don't know how else to tell you that. Please don't
-
sit at home, Please don't please don't find something else
-
to do. This is a time when you need to
-
be investing in your spiritual foundation, investing in your spiritual life.
-
And we have fun, we laugh, you know, And my
-
teaching stall is that, you know, I let everybody get engaged.
-
Everybody can ask questions, no matter what in the middle
-
of me my teaching, you can ask any question. So
-
i'd ask I just asking you to come join us.
-
That'll start next Wednesday, that is September the fourth, six pm.
-
Top Hat Pools and Stoves, twenty to fifty eight Main Street, Wheeling,
-
West Virginia. Hope to see you there. Tonight's message is
-
titled Satan's Mightiest Move When Satan rebuilding and took a
-
third of the angels He probably thought this was going
-
to be a real success story for him, and for
-
many millennia it looked like he was correct. But the
-
Bible says that when the fullness of time had come,
-
God sent forth his son, born of a woman, born
-
under the law, to redeem those who were under the law,
-
that he might receive, that we might receive the adoption
-
of sons Galatians four, four and five. Satan became the
-
ruler of this world, and with it he brought darkness, deception, lying, killing, stealing,
-
and every evil work. The Bible gives us his resume
-
in John eight forty four, and it says this, Jesus
-
said these words. Jesus said, he referring to Satan. He
-
was a murderer from the beginning and does not stand
-
in truth, because there is no truth in him. When
-
he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources,
-
for he is a liar and the father of it.
-
During jesus time on the earth, his greatest enemies were
-
the Pharisees, and Jesus said they were of their father,
-
the Devil, and had Satan's desires to do what he wanted. Now.
-
Before Jesus started his ministry, he was led into the
-
wilderness we know for forty days to be tempted by
-
the devil. So I want to look at those scriptures.
-
We will be in Matthew chapter four, and okay, Matthew
-
chapter four, verses one through eleven. Then Jesus was led
-
up by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted
-
by the devil. And when he had fasted forty days
-
and forty nights afterward, he was hungry. Now when the
-
tempter came to him, he said, if you are the
-
son of God, command that these stones become bred. But
-
he answered and said, it is written. Man shall not
-
live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds
-
from the mouth of God. Then the devil took him
-
up into the Holy city, set him up on the
-
pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, if you
-
are the son of God, throw yourself down, for it
-
is written he shall give his angels charge over you,
-
and in their hands they shall bear you up lest
-
you dash your foot against a stone. Jesus said to him,
-
it is written again, you shall not tempt the Lord
-
your God. Again, the devil took him up on an
-
exceedingly high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of
-
the world and their glory, and he said to Jesus,
-
all these things I will give you if you will
-
fall down and worship me. Then Jesus said to him,
-
away with you, Satan, for it is written you shall
-
worship the Lord, your God, and him only you shall serve.
-
Then the devil left him, and behold, angels came and
-
ministered to him. So Satan quickly recognized that this man
-
had to be removed. Jesus was an unrelenting threat to Satan.
-
Jesus went about doing good, the Bible says, everywhere he went,
-
and he was literally. Jesus was literally undoing the evil
-
works that Satan had accomplished. Satan killed Lazarus, but Jesus
-
raised him up. He mentally tormented the demoniac from the Gatherines,
-
who Jesus completely set free and put him back in
-
his right mind. Many who were lame could walk again.
-
Those who were ready to die with diseases were made
-
completely well by Jesus. Jesus cleansed the lepers, the baron
-
women became fruitful. The death could hear once again. And
-
of course we remember blind Bartimaeus received his sight and
-
there were many, many who received their sight. We just
-
know of the story of Bartimaeus. And then there were
-
those who were mute, who could not speak, but Jesus
-
loosed their tongue and they began to speak. Jesus unraveled
-
every Satanic plan that these people experienced. The woman with
-
the issue of blood for twelve years made whole after
-
she had been to every physician. Can you imagine the
-
woman bent over for eighteen years was made straight, She
-
was able to stand straight up. Jesus even said about
-
this woman, he said, so ought not this woman being
-
a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound, think of
-
it for eighteen years be loose from this bondage on
-
the Sabbath. That's Luke thirteen sixteen. So even Jesus makes
-
mention that Satan bound this woman and caused this infirmity,
-
so that for eighteen years she suffered completely bent over,
-
not able to straighten up. So think how Satan has
-
injured people, caused them great suffering and pain. You might
-
be one of them. You might be someone who has
-
gone through terrible situation, I mean just the worst of
-
the worst, and maybe physically you have encountered multiple issues
-
of multiple problems and sicknesses. Well, Satan's ways are very cruel,
-
very cruel, and he desires all to be sick, diseased,
-
and maimed. His plan is to kill, slowly or quickly regardless.
-
He wants people to suffer, so it doesn't matter how
-
it comes. Imagine what goes through his mind, pure evil,
-
evil motives, evil intentions, works of darkness, getting people addicted
-
to alcohol, drugs, sex, pornography, witchcraft. His motto is death,
-
no matter how, when, or where. Jesus said in John
-
ten ten the thief referring to Satan, does not come
-
accept to steal, to kill, and to destroy. But I
-
have come that they may have life, and that they
-
may have it more abundantly. So it's a clear distinction.
-
Satan's purpose is death, simple death, destruction. Jesus purpose is
-
life and more abundantly. So for three years Satan watched
-
Jesus reverse every work of darkness, every work of sickness
-
and disease, and he must have thought, there has to
-
be a way to bring this guy down and stop him.
-
You know, the Bible even says in the Gospel of John.
-
John writes at the end of his book that There
-
were many, many, many, many more miracles that Jesus accomplished
-
that are not even written in the scriptures. So Jesus
-
was unrelenting in his works of miracles and healings and
-
setting captives free, and that just put the devil over
-
the edge. So he engineered the death of Jesus by
-
using the Pharisees to eventually put him on the cross.
-
When Jesus took his last breath on the cross, Satan
-
had to be throwing a party in Hell. I'm sure
-
he thought, my mightiest move has come to fruition. Jesus
-
is now out of the way, and he's out of
-
my way. There was hooping and hollering, and all of
-
Hell was exceedingly glad. But what he didn't know was
-
his fate was sealed that day. What he didn't know
-
was that Jesus' last breath tore the veil in the temple,
-
giving us twenty four to seven access to the Father.
-
What he didn't know was that with Jesus' last breath
-
there was coming a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit
-
in the Upper Room that would forever changed the Church
-
and forever forever secure God's plan for man's redemption. Oh
-
had he known, but he didn't. Now there are millions
-
of human beings walking on the earth with Jesus in them,
-
doing the works of Jesus and breaking every chain of darkness. Hallelujah,
-
Oh shoot. His mightiest move of killing Jesus was the
-
greatest worldwide impacting move of God. Jesus was the waymaker then,
-
and he's the waymaker now. Jesus was the glory of
-
God then, and Jesus is the glory of God now
-
being manifested all over the world. Jesus was the healer then,
-
and Jesus is the healer now and through the healing
-
ministries of the past. John G. Lake, Katherine Coleman, Amy Semple, McPherson,
-
Brother Brannham, Jack Coe, A. A. Allen, Oral Roberts, T.
-
L Osborne, Maria Woodworth Etter, and those ministers today right
-
now in our time, Brother David Hogan, Brother Dan Moehler,
-
doctor Pauliniachi and Africa, God is still reversing the works
-
of darkness, sickness, and disease. Jesus was the righteous one
-
then and now he has millions of sons and daughters
-
who are righteous. Jesus was the just judge then, and
-
injustice is now being reversed in favor of the justice
-
of God. I want to share a few scriptures from
-
Luke chapter thirteen. I'm reading everything tonight out of the
-
New King James version. These are verses twenty two through
-
thirty three, and it says he Jesus went through the
-
cities and villages, teaching and journeying toward Jerusalem. Then one
-
said to him, Lord, are there few who are saved?
-
And he said to them, strive to enter through the
-
narrow gate. For many, I say to you, will seek
-
to enter and will not be able. Whence, when once
-
the master of the house has risen up and shut
-
the door, and you begin to stand outside and knock
-
at the door, saying, Lord Lord, open for us, and
-
he will answer and say to you, I do not
-
know you. Where are you from. Then you will begin
-
to say, we ate and drank in your presence, and
-
you taught in our streets. But he will say, I
-
tell you, I do not know you where you are from.
-
Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity. There will
-
be weeping and gnashing of teeth. When you see Abraham
-
and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the
-
Kingdom of God, and yourself thrust out. They will come
-
from the east and the west, from the north and
-
the south, and sit down in the Kingdom of God.
-
And indeed there are last who will be first, and
-
there are first who will be last. On that very day,
-
some pharisees came to him, saying, get out and apart
-
from him, for Herod wants to kill you. And Jesus
-
said to them, go tell that fox. Behold. I cast
-
out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the
-
third day I shall be perfected. Nevertheless, I must journey today,
-
tomorrow and the day falling, for it cannot be that
-
a prophet should perish outside of Jerusalem. Now that's a
-
very interesting set of scriptures. Of course, we can see
-
that Jesus is encouraging believers to strive through the narrow
-
gate because he's going to because he's saying that many
-
are going to seek to enter, but they're not going
-
to be able to enter the kingdom, and they're going
-
to say, Lord Lord opened the door for us, let
-
us in, and he's going to say, depart from me.
-
I never knew you. And they'll be weeping and gnashing
-
of teeth. So you know, those are a serious set
-
of scriptures that Jesus is really kind of giving us
-
a warning that you know, we need to strive to
-
enter through the narrow way. Now, turned to John the
-
Gospel of John sixteen, and we're gonna look at verse
-
thirteen because as we see from what I've shared and
-
what Jesus said about Satan being a liar and the
-
father of lies, look what Jesus says in John chapter sixteen,
-
verse thirteen. He says, However, when he the Spirit of Truth,
-
has come, he will guide you into all truth. For
-
he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever
-
he hears, he will speak, and he will tell you
-
things to come. So there's an opposing person called the
-
Spirit of truth, and he is the Holy Spirit. Turned
-
to first John, chapter five, Verses nineteen and twenty, and
-
John writes, in this letter verse nineteen, we know that
-
we are of God, and the whole world lies under
-
the sway of the wicked one. And we know that
-
the Son of God has come and has given us
-
an understanding that we may know him who is true,
-
and we are in him who is true in his
-
son Jesus Christ, this is the true God and eternal life.
-
One thing about John John's very clear. He doesn't mince words.
-
He gets right to the point, and he's just telling
-
us right there, straight out, black and white. We are
-
of God, we are children of God. And the whole world,
-
the world lies under the sway or under the influence
-
of the wicked one of Satan. So this world that
-
you and I live in is under the influence of Satan.
-
But we are of God. And because we're of God.
-
Only because we are of God and children of God,
-
that we can understand verse twenty, that we know that
-
the Son of God has come and has given us
-
an understanding that we may know him who is true.
-
And Jesus we know he said of himself, I'm the Way,
-
the Truth and the Life. And we are in him
-
who is true, in his son, Jesus Christ, this is
-
the true God and eternal life. So there's no you know,
-
there's no there shouldn't be any doubt in your mind
-
about truth versus lies in First John three to eight.
-
So just turn turn back to first John three, verse eight.
-
It says he who sins is of the devil, for
-
the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose,
-
the son of God was manifested that he might destroy
-
the works of the devil. So, okay, we understand that
-
Satan is the father of lies. We know that he sinned,
-
and we know now the scripture says, whoever sins is
-
of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning.
-
And so one of the purposes, one of the goals
-
of sending Jesus to the earth, and the reason he
-
was made manifest, was that he might destroy the works
-
of the devil. And indeed he did. All you have
-
to do is read Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and
-
you'll see all the miracles. You'll see how he destroyed
-
the works of the devil. I mean he was unrelenting.
-
As I said earlier, he went about doing good everywhere
-
he went. That means that when that scripture says he
-
went about doing good, it means that he went about
-
reversing every ounce of darkness, sickness, disease. Whatever the devil
-
had planned and done and accomplished, he was reversing it.
-
So he was doing good. So God is good and
-
the devil is bad. It's like that simple. So what
-
is the goal for you and I? Bottom line? What
-
is the goal for you and I? The goal is
-
to destroy the works of the devil. Now that we
-
have Jesus in us, the Holy Spirit living in us,
-
and we are children of God, we are to do
-
the same thing that Jesus did when he walked the earth,
-
because John tells us that right. He says in First
-
John two, verse six, he says, he who says he
-
abides in him in Christ ought himself also to walk
-
just as Christ walked. So if we abide in Jesus,
-
we are to walk just as Jesus walked when he
-
was on the earth. And everything that Jesus did we
-
are to be doing today. If we have Jesus living
-
in us, if we're full of the Holy Ghost, we
-
are to be manifesting God. We are to bring on
-
the scene the Kingdom of God, to destroy the works
-
of the devil. That's what you and I are supposed
-
to be doing now. If you're not doing that, Ah,
-
there's a possibility you weren't taught anything about doing that.
-
And unfortunately there are many denominations that don't teach anything
-
about that. So you just come to church on Sunday,
-
sit in your little pew like a nice person, and
-
you hear the homily, and you know, you visit with
-
a few people and you go home, and life doesn't change.
-
It's the same thing Sunday after Sunday. And you have
-
done nothing to destroy the works of the devil. And
-
yet that's what you were called to do. You were
-
called to destroy the works of the devil because he
-
lives in you. Well, I mean, I guess you just
-
have to ask yourself the question why does he live
-
in me? I mean, just just so you can go
-
to heaven. No, read your Bible. And that's why I
-
really do encourage you to come to my Bible study.
-
Because we read the Bible, we I teach exactly what
-
the scriptures say. So I'm out of time, but I
-
hope that you know, I hope that encouraged you to,
-
you know, think about what your purpose is on this earth. Amen. Well,
