We will start. Let's about her, gracious Father. We thank
-
you for your goodness, your mercy tonight. We thank you
-
because of who you are and for what you've done
-
for us. We thank you for this night of coming together,
-
for how you're going to bless us through your word.
-
Take us through your word, acknowledge everything that needs to
-
be acknowledging our spirits in Jesus' name. Amen. All right,
-
those of you that are taking notes should remember and
-
hope I am not going back to last week. I'm
-
moving forward. So if you need the notes before that,
-
we can actually send them to you because I have
-
a whole stack of notes. This is the story of Moses.
-
That's what we got to realize. This is the story
-
of Moses and the story of the children of God.
-
They'll call the children of Israel, but they're the children
-
of God. And so the first five books, which is
-
the Pentethik, we know the Books of Moses. It's where
-
Moses established law. But it is also Moses's covenant, or
-
the Mosaic Covenant. There are seven covenants. We won't go
-
with those tonight. I'll try to put those in the
-
notes that we're gonna put in your hands. There's seven covenants.
-
There is it Adamic Covenant, and I said, wasn't gonna
-
name them, just so you know. But then this's the
-
Abraham Covenant. Then we come to the Mosaic Covenant. So
-
this is the covenant that deals with the law. So
-
it deals with the law of God, it deals with
-
the rules of God. It is back by several books.
-
Some people actually say that Moses stole a lot of
-
what he's saying from other writings. And again I'll put
-
that in the notes so that you have them, because
-
there are official writings. But we look at the Tau,
-
which is the Hebrew Bible. Lady Howard Toro, first five books,
-
that's the Hebrew Bible. That's the Hebrew Bible. They don't
-
embrace any more of the Bible, just those books that
-
are ascribed to Moses. Okay, so when they look at
-
their Bible, they don't have the King James version, they
-
don't have sixty six books. They basically look at the
-
five books of the Torah as their Bible, as they
-
are binding as their law. And those are only Old
-
Testament books that don't embrace the New Covenant. They only
-
embrace the Old Testament in the first five books. So
-
that's what this story is. It is about Moses, and
-
it is about what God chose Moses. I want you
-
to think of Moses, as I said last week, as
-
the pastor. I want you to think about the people
-
coming out of Israel as the congregation. So this is
-
a pastor trying to get his people to do what
-
God says. It is in the beginning, so it is
-
very It makes everybody nervous because it's the beginning. God
-
is speaking. He has the largest congregation. He starts out
-
with six million people, then he has two million people,
-
and finally only two enter into the Promised Land. So
-
with that we're looking at Moses as the pastor. I
-
want you to look at Aaron, who is the brother
-
of Moses, as the assistant pastor, who when Moses goes
-
on top of the mountain to hear from God. Because Moses,
-
being the pastor, is the only person God talked to
-
face to face, Aaron was left in charge the congregation
-
as the assistant pastor. But being left in charge of
-
the congregation as the assistant pastor, he started listening to
-
the people and defied what the leader had said. So
-
this is also a lesson not only about pastoralship a
-
congregation a church. This is a lesson about how to
-
lead and what not to do as a leader, because
-
we also have to deal with which is not in
-
this book, but in the previous chapter, and we've talked
-
about a Miriam. Miriam is the sister of Moses who
-
gets upset because Moses marries a burnt face woman. And
-
when Moses marries his burnt faced woman, she is the
-
typical member of the congregation that when the pastor does something,
-
and especially because she is his sister, she wants to
-
correct him. God didn't tell her to correct them, that
-
she takes on that role herself. So you got Miriam,
-
you got Aaron, You got Moses, who's the pastor. Aaron
-
who's the sister pastor Miriam, who's the sister of the pastor.
-
You have the congregation. You have Jeththrow who is the
-
father in law of Moses, who teaches Moses how to
-
break down the congregation because if they're going to be serviced,
-
He says, what needs to happen is in servicing them,
-
you need to break them down. In companies of fifty
-
in companies of twenty five, then plays over them a judge,
-
and let that judge deal with them and deal with
-
their situations so that all of the big problems don't
-
come to you. Moses says something, and I think, especially
-
if you're on here and you are a pastor, if
-
you're on here and you are a prophet, if you're
-
on here and you are a minister, that we need
-
to pay close attention to. Moses says, the biggest problem
-
any pastor has is when they take time to deal
-
with the cares of life. Moses says it, Paul says
-
it in a New Testament. You're gonna find it several
-
other places in the Bible. So it is believed that
-
a pastor should never have to deal with the small stuff,
-
the cares of life. The pastor should be free to
-
hear from God, to pray on behalf of the people,
-
and number three, to be able to give a word
-
of life to the people. So they should be free
-
to not worry about day to day cares, but to
-
give spiritual advice, to give a word from God and
-
to you know, that's that's preaching, that's teaching, that's the
-
whole nine yards. So that that's the concept we're dealing
-
with Deuteronomy. We skip Exodus and went straight to Deuteronomy.
-
Because here now three times the children have been granted
-
an opportunity to go into the Promise. And I don't
-
want to call it the promised Land. I want you
-
to think of it like God taking you out of
-
bondage into your promise. Because all of us are on
-
our way somewhere. All of us are going somewhere, so
-
God is trying to take us to the promise. But
-
there's always something that hinders. And we know their biggest
-
which is where we left off in which we're going
-
back to. We're going back to. First number twenty one
-
of chapter number two is a win two two excuse
-
me one because the people have gotten caught up because
-
they murmured and complained, they spent time. I also want
-
us to understand this is as much a lesson about
-
faith than it is anything else. This is about faith.
-
This is about trusting the man of God. Chapter one
-
about trusting the Man of God, and at the same
-
time it is about having faith in God or faith
-
in God's man. We say this and this is the
-
principle prerequisite for any leader. You won't have problems with
-
people following you as long as they can tell your
-
following Christ. Let me say that again. You won't have
-
problems with people following you as long as people can
-
tell you are following Christ. Husbands say to that wife,
-
follow me as I follow Christ. Pastors say, follow me
-
as I follow Christ. Leaders say, follow me as I
-
follow Christ. Whenever someone gets out of the word of God,
-
out of the will of God, you are no longer
-
obligated to follow them. But as long as they're following God.
-
And how do you know I hear somebody, how do
-
you know you they following God. A tree is known
-
by the fruit that it bears. We can tell it.
-
We can tell whether or not a person is in
-
tune to God. And God holds in prominence who you follow,
-
because you cannot follow anybody. We see that whatever we
-
see that with we see that with Miriam, we see
-
that with Jeff throw. You can't follow everybody because everybody
-
is not ordained to be a liberator. Everybody is not
-
ordained in order to be a leader. Everybody. And I
-
know some people say, well, some people are born to
-
be leaders. Not everybody is born to be a leader.
-
So you have to either be a liberator or a reformer.
-
Every person on this life tonight or on this zoon
-
is either a leader or a reformer. You can be
-
both a leader and a reformer reformer. Basically, God has
-
sent you to go against the grain and to change
-
everything that is in a person's mind. So let's go
-
to the Scripture, Chapter one, verse twenty one, Behold the
-
Lord thy God, and you should have your Bible. I
-
behold the Lord that God, and they're going to make
-
the guide available. I think on this Sunday they'll let
-
us know at the end of this Behold the Lord
-
that God has set the land before thee, go up
-
and possess it, as the Lord thy Father have said
-
unto thee, fear not, neither be dismayed. And if you
-
have a highliner, you should highlight that in your Bible,
-
because the Lord is going to say several times in
-
this book. This is one of the key verses, fear not,
-
neither be dismayed. And you don't have to fear if
-
you're following God. Okay. Verse twenty two. You came near
-
onto me, every one of you, and said, we will
-
send men before us, and they shall search us out
-
the land and bring us a word again. By the way,
-
we must go up into what city will shall come.
-
So this goes back to numbers Chapter thirteen, verses one
-
through thirty three, when they sent the spies up and
-
they came back with a good report. However, everybody did
-
not embrace him, and they took the food of the
-
land in their hands and brought it down unto us
-
verse twenty five, and brought a word to us again
-
and said it is a good land. Notice what they said.
-
They immediately said, it is a good land which the Lord,
-
our God gives us. So this is the first opportunity.
-
We're in chapter one, So this is the first opportunity.
-
Chapter one, verse number twenty six. We stopped at twenty seven,
-
but I just went where on top of it, so
-
we didn't get lost. So this is the first opportunity.
-
They have to trust not only the man of God,
-
because the man of God said, God has given to
-
us a promise. We need to possess it, but to
-
also believe in God. And as pastors and leaders, we
-
shouldn't get offended because sometimes it's not us that they're
-
rebelling against. And that's what Moses, the Lord keeps saying.
-
To Moses, they have not offended you, they have not
-
disobeyed you. They have disobeyed me because they should have
-
seen God in their leader verse twenty seven. And you
-
murmured in your tents and said, because the Lord hates us,
-
he has brought us forth out of the land of
-
Egypt to deliver us into the hand of the Amirits
-
to this deray us so immediately, that is doubt. They
-
introduced doubt. The only reason why the Lord brought us
-
out here is because they Hey, now this is generated
-
by the enemy speaking in their spirit. But they should
-
have very well been able to counter against it and
-
not believe that their God would not let their clothes
-
wear out for forty years, not let their shoes wear out,
-
or have any holes in it, feed them, take care
-
of them. But now he has them on the threshold
-
of what he has promised, and he's not able to
-
deliver it. And that's the same trick. Saytan will constantly
-
try to play with us. God promise you a husband,
-
but he ain't came yet. God promise you this, but
-
it ain't came. God promised you a house, but it
-
had materialized. God, So we see the same repetitious lie
-
being told. But all things are possible if you believe them.
-
All things are possible if you believe them. So the
-
enemy has to constantly fight against our faith. He does
-
not want you to trust God. He does not want
-
you to trust the word that's being told. He does
-
not want you to believe what God is saying. So
-
verse twenty eight, whether shall we go up? Our brother
-
will have discourage our hearts. There will always be somebody
-
in the crowd to discourage you. There will always be
-
somebody in your life to tell you you're not in
-
the right place. There will always be somebody in life
-
to try to tell you or make you feel like
-
they're deeper than you. Their communication with God is stronger
-
than yours. And you have to be careful because that's
-
what happened when the men came back. Some say we're
-
like grass, we don't need to go over there. Some says,
-
let's go, we'll will, let's do it, and let's do
-
it today. So you're always gonna have that contrast throughout
-
the whole Bible. That's why the New Testament talks about faith. Okay,
-
Verse twenty nine, Then I said, unto you dread not
-
neither be afraid of them. Don't be afraid of what
-
is occupying, what God's getting ready to place in your hands,
-
the Anakims, the amlicit. Don't be afraid of any group
-
of people. These are the enemy of God set to
-
deter your faith. Doesn't matter if they're giants, it doesn't
-
matter if they're a large statue. Don't worry about it.
-
God says. If God says, go, go, If God says
-
you can possess it, possess it. If God says, take
-
it at once. He will never say anything to you
-
that He has not giving you the ability and the
-
capability to do. Verse thirty. The Lord your God was
-
going before you, he shall fight for you. This is
-
still prevalent today. Some scripture is written to us, some
-
scripture is written for us, and some scripture is about us.
-
This scripture is still prevalent, and it holds true not
-
only to physical Israel, but to spiritual Israel, which is us.
-
The Lord your God goes before you, he will fight
-
for you according to all that he did for you
-
in Egypt before your eyes. So he's saying to them.
-
There are some parts of the Bible where the Lord
-
says don't remember the past. But there are some parts
-
of the Bible, and this is one of those verses
-
where the Lord says, remember, remember what I did for
-
you when you were in Egypt. I kept you safe
-
in Egypt. And if I'm keeping you safe in Egypt,
-
I'm surely able to keep you safe now. I'm surely
-
able to do what I promise. So he wants us
-
to remember what I did for you in the past
-
so you can gain faith in the future. Faith comes
-
by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Faith
-
comes by experiences. I've seen him do it, and if
-
He did it before, that's why we overcome by the again.
-
This is a scripture that is dictated again later. We
-
overcome by the word of our testimony and by the
-
blood of our lamp. I know he can heal. I
-
know he can deliver. How because I heard the testimony
-
given by Mother. I heard the testimony give it by
-
one of the elders. I heard the testimony to give
-
him by one of the ministries. And if God did
-
it for her, surely he can do it for me.
-
So faith, this is the way he's saying, Think about
-
what God did in your past. Think of what God
-
did in Egypt. If he did it in Egypt, he's
-
certainly able to do it now Verse thirty one. And
-
in the wilderness, I want you to highlight circle underline
-
do something to the word wilderness. Because we have contrive
-
it that wilderness is a bad place. I come to
-
tell you that the wilderness is not a bad place.
-
The wilderness is a buffer. The wilderness is a place
-
of preparation. The wilderness is a filter before you get
-
the promise. Behind every wilderness, there is a promised land.
-
Behind every wilderness, there is a promise. So always don't
-
get discouraged by the wilderness. No, something good has to
-
follow the wilderness because God uses the wilderness to filter out.
-
God uses the wilderness to shake us up. There are
-
certain behaviors that could not go into the promised Land,
-
certain attitudes that cannot go. So in order for God
-
to do what he really wants for you, you're gonna
-
have to lose something. The wilderness is where we lose
-
it because it's the filter. It is the buffer between
-
the Lord is saying you can't carry this behavior into
-
the promised Land. So I'm gonna let you go through
-
the wilderness until you get this behavior out. You can't
-
carry this attitude into your promise. So I'm gonna have
-
to let you go through the wilderness until you get
-
this out. You can't you can't take grumbling, murmuring, complaining
-
into the wildness. I'm gonna have to let you get
-
it out. You can't take a lack of faith into
-
the promised land. So I'm gonna have to take you
-
in the wilderness. So you basically determine how long you
-
stay in your wilderness. Some people stay for forty years.
-
But remember it is only an eleven day journey. So
-
in the wilderness where thou hast seen, how what the
-
Lord thou God barrin thee So even in your wilderness,
-
God took care of you. Even in your wilderness, he
-
was Jehovah, Jirah, Jehovah Jirah, the Lord that provides. He
-
still provided for you even though you were in the wilderness. Okay,
-
So God worthy as a man duff his son in
-
all the way that you went until you came into
-
this place. Yet in this thing you still don't believe God.
-
So what most of the saying here is, it's upsetting
-
God that you've seen him do all of these things.
-
It's upsetting God that he's made away. It's upsetting God
-
that he's given you miracles. It's upsetting God he gave
-
you what you wanted to eat when you didn't want bread, Manda,
-
that he gave you a quail. It's upsetting God that
-
after all God's done for you, you still don't believe him.
-
Verse thirty three. Who went in the way before you
-
to search you out of place to pitch your tents.
-
And what he did was he sent them a pillow
-
of cloud by day that was to shield them and
-
protect them from the sun, and a pillar of fire
-
by night. The pillow of fire was to allow them
-
to still have the warmth and the comfort that they needed,
-
so they wouldn't get cold because they didn't have cold. Okay,
-
so he's reminding them. And then he prepared at a
-
place in all this wilderness, so you can pitch your
-
tents since you cloud pill a cloud by day, pill
-
of fire by night. The fire also has a double
-
connotation because fire can be judgment, fire can burn out.
-
We say the Lord is, according to these five books,
-
a consuming fire, so he can be the fire, but
-
he can also be the fire. That burns in the bush,
-
and it does not burn up the bush. So fire
-
has more than one connotation. In the New Testament, fire
-
is the symbol of the Holy Spirit or the comforter,
-
because the pillow of fire is the same thing that
-
God sends to protect them Verse number thirty five. Surely
-
there shall not one of these men of this equal
-
generation see the good land. So now he's warning them
-
God has been sifting us out because he's not gonna
-
allow not one of the evil men of this generation.
-
And remember this is the second generation, see the good
-
land which I swore to give unto your father. So
-
he's speaking on behalf of God. But then he says,
-
save Caleb, because there are two people who went in
-
saw it and had faithful enough to believe God. We've
-
got to be one of the two. Caleb, who's the
-
son of to the fun he shall see it, and
-
to him I will give the land that he have
-
trotted upon to his children because he hath wholly followed,
-
or that word right there really should be saying he
-
has wholly with our whole heart believe God. Caleb Howard's
-
Hebrew name means whole hearted, faithful, bold, brave, one. So
-
he's only one of the two that God allows to
-
actually enter into the Promised Land because he was faithful, wholehearted, bold,
-
and brave Verse thirty seven, Chapter one. Also the Lord
-
was angry with me for your sake, saying that also
-
shall not go in thither. So this is the Lord
-
speaking to Moses. So now the Lord's telling Moses, you
-
ain't going in. You're gonna take them to it, but
-
you're not going in. So the Lord's upset with them
-
because Moses the pastor, has been trying to convince them
-
and they still aren't listening. Okay, Verse thirty eight of
-
chapter one. But Joshua, the son of None, So Joshua
-
is the person that's going to go in because Joshua
-
and Caleb were the two spies, and they actually enter in.
-
We're gonna see that later on in the Bible. But Joshua,
-
the son of Land, which stood before thee, he shall
-
go in thither. Encourage him, for he shall cause Israel.
-
He shall cause Israel. This one man is gonna cause
-
Israel to inherit it, to inherit what God says. This
-
one man is gonna cause Israel to inherit what God says,
-
all it takes is one. Joshua's Hebrew name means God
-
is my salvation. He's the other person who was allowed
-
to possess the promise. God is my salvation. So they
-
both have Hebrew names because they are Hebrews. Ah Verse
-
thirty nine. Were your little ones we look at our time. Okay, moreover,
-
your little ones, which you say shall be a pray,
-
your children, which in that day had no knowledge between
-
good and evil, they shall go in thither unto them
-
will I give it, and they shall possess it. So
-
not only with these two men, but their children, because
-
they had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall
-
go in also, and I will give it to your children,
-
the little small children Verse forty But as for you,
-
turn ye and take your journey into the willness by
-
the way of the Red sea. So he's telling the
-
rest of them to basically cling leave verse thirty forty one.
-
Then you answer this sent up to me, we have
-
sinned against the Lord. We will go up and fight
-
according to all that the Lord God has commanded us.
-
And when you have girded on every man his weapons
-
of war, you were ready to go up unto the
-
heel The only problem with this first first number forty
-
one is it's too late. God has given them so
-
many chances. Now they want to put on their garments,
-
they want to put on their war gear. But God
-
is saying it's too late because at this point he's
-
giving them time at the time Verse forty two. And
-
the Lord said them to me, saying to them, go
-
not up. So God said, I only want you to
-
go up. Neither fight if I'm not among you. In
-
other words, if you fight this battle, you're gonna be
-
fighting on your own. Because I kept telling you over
-
and over I'm with you, I'm with you, but you
-
did not. So I guess a key word right here,
-
and everybody should write it in your notes is obedience. Obedience.
-
Because they had the opportunity to obey God and did not.
-
It ticks God off when we don't obey him. We
-
know Isaiah says, if you be willing and obedient, you
-
shall eat the good of the land. We know that.
-
First Samuel chapter fifteen says that rebellion is as the
-
sin of witch craft. In other words, if you're rebellious,
-
you might as well be a witch. He says rebellion
-
is as the sin of witchcraft. So God does not
-
like it when we're rebellious, when we're disobedient, And here
-
God is saying no, no, no, no, Our merciful God
-
is saying, I gave you chance after chance to do
-
what I said. And whether we want to admit it
-
or not, God does get tired. Now, we gotta be
-
careful with that statement, because some others get a God
-
is tired. No, God ain't tired. You tired. God is tired.
-
God is tired of the way. God is tired of
-
how we at. God is tired because we starting service, lad, No,
-
God ain't tired, you're tired. We can't make the mistake
-
of what God is being tired with saying that God
-
is tired when he's not so okay, Verse forty three,
-
Chapter one. So I spake up to you. You were
-
not here, but you rebelled against the commandments of the
-
Lord and went presumptually up into the hill. In any
-
where you start going your own way, she have to
-
be led, she must be lead. And so when sheep
-
are not being led, they are being goats because goats,
-
but goats try to find their own way. She have
-
to go and be led by the steal water or
-
they won't drink. Sheep have to have grass. I was
-
somewhere and they use the thing I got from Pastor Burkes.
-
Them and their church said, if you want sheep, say
-
you don't have to steal. Oh the lady Sunday night.
-
She said, you don't have to steal sheep. I gotta
-
do is grow grass. If you grow grass, sheep will come.
-
You don't have to steal sheep from nobody else's ministry.
-
You have to steal sheep from nobody else. Grow green
-
grass and sheep will come, okay. Verse forty four. And
-
the Amorites was dwelt in the mountain, came out against
-
you and chase you as bees do, and destroyed you.
-
They chased them and destroyed them because they would not
-
do it God's way. They didn't listen. It is important
-
to move when God says, move, to act when God
-
says act, to behave like God wants us to behave.
-
In is our safety. Verse forty five. And you return
-
and wept before the Lord. But the Lord would not
-
hearken into your voice nor give ear unto you, because
-
you were not doing what he's saying. I know I'm
-
reading that in nor give ear to you because you
-
would not obey him. As long as we obey him,
-
that's gonna be success. So your bold in Kadesh. Remember,
-
whenever we see Kadesh, that means they're right there on
-
the threshold of the promise. You are bold in Kodesh
-
many days. According into the days that you're bold there,
-
then it takes us into chapter two, which we can
-
actually start it. So then we turn and took our
-
journey into the wilderness by the way of the Red Sea. Remember,
-
the wilderness is not a bad place. The wilderness is
-
the place of preparation. The wilderness is a buffer. The
-
wilderness is a funnel. It's trying to get everything out
-
because before you can go into the promise, God cannot
-
allow you to take certain things into the promise. Okay,
-
So I would turn into the wildness by the way
-
of the Red Sea, as the Lord spake unto me,
-
And we can pass Mount Seer many days, and the
-
Lord spoken to me saying, you have come passed this
-
mountain long enough. You've been going in circles. Good message
-
to preach preachers. You got me going in circles. You
-
have been going in circles too. Long, and the Lord says,
-
I'm ready for you to go forward verse four of
-
chapter two. And he commanded thou that the people saying
-
you are to pass through the coast of your brother,
-
the children of Issac, Isaiah or Isai, which dwell and seer,
-
and they shall be afraid of you. Take eve good
-
heed unto yourselves. Therefore verse five, meddle not with them.
-
So God tells them who to deal with and who
-
not to deal with. These are the eat They were
-
once with Israel, but now they have turned against Israel.
-
Everybody who is Israel's enemy used to be with them. Okay,
-
metter not with them, for I will not give you
-
of their lands. So I'm not gonna give you the
-
land of the Eedamites, and not so much as a
-
foot breath, because I have given Mount Seer onto Isael
-
for a possession. So sometimes the Lord promises certain places
-
to certain people, but he promised them they could go
-
through it. Verse six. You shall buy meat of them
-
for money. I will allow you to buy meat that
-
you may eat. And you shall also buy water of
-
them for money that you may drink. Verse seven. For
-
the Lord your God have blessed thee We can take
-
this to ourselves. For the Lord, your God have blessed
-
THEE in all the works of thy hand. He know
-
if thy walking through his great wilderness these forty years,
-
and the Lord have been with Thee, and thou hast
-
you really need to highlight, underline put stars beside this
-
last two words, thou hast lacked nothing. How can people
-
who have lacked nothing be at a place that they
-
don't trust God? How can people whom God has given
-
them everything prepared the way for them, and that's done
-
all this thing? How can these people who God has
-
lacked nothing still be at a place where they don't believe?
-
Somebody should say that sounds like us okay verse eight,
-
And that's what will stop tonight. And when we pass
-
by from our brother and the children of his hen
-
which dwelt and sear through the way of the plane
-
from e love, from Ezion Gabber, we turned and passed
-
by the way of the wilderness of Moab. I gotta
-
read further so we can get And the Lord said,
-
unto me, distress not the mobikes, neither contend with them.
-
So the Lord is telling them who to deal with
-
the Lord is telling them who to deal with. The
-
Lord is telling us who to deal with and who
-
not deal with. The Lord's telling us you can't deal
-
with everybody. So I'm gonna tell you who to deal with,
-
and that when you have a relationship with God, he
-
tells you who to cut off.
-
Who to deal with, who to hang with, who to
-
buy from, who to make your company, who to sit
-
down at the coffee table, who to get away from?
-
So, and the Lord said, unto me, distress not the mobikes,
-
neither contend with them and battle. Don't fight them, for
-
I will not give thee of their land for possession,
-
because I have given it to error, unto the children
-
of Lot for a possession. And there's a lot we
-
can read into that, but I don't want to read
-
that part. And the images dwelt there in in times past.
-
The images are a great people and many so it's
-
a lot of people, and they are tall like the Anakins.
-
They were superhuman, they were giants. But God was saying,
-
don't get don't be moved by what you see. Let's
-
put it in a New Testament text because the just
-
must live not by what they see, but by faith.
-
What's the other scripture? We walk we walk by faith
-
and not by sight. So this whole time, what God
-
is really trying to develop in them is a faith
-
relationship with him. The main thing that God is trying
-
to get to us. It's the same thing he was
-
trying to get to the child of Israel. Faith. Believe me,
-
Believe me for the work sake. I want to be
-
your God. I want to be your supplier. I want
-
to be your help. I want to be your peace
-
that goes past understanding. I want to give you the kingdom.
-
It is the father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
-
You should be seeing a lot of the Bible. It's
-
a father's good pleasure. He wants to give you to
-
the kingdom. He wants you to lack nothing. The only
-
reason why anybody lacks anything is because either will out
-
of the will of God or sin. Well out of
-
the will of God or sin. Because God is Jehovah Chirah.
-
He's a lord that provides. He doesn't want us to worry.
-
If he tells us that the New Testament, take no
-
thought for your life what you said, eat or drink,
-
because if you took care of the first to take
-
care of raccoons, he take care of the squirrels, he
-
take care of all animals outside. Surely he has the
-
ability to take care of you. He's trying to show
-
us I'm gonna take care of you, but you have
-
to trust me. I'm gonna deliver you, but you have
-
to trust me. And the people that know their God,
-
the people who trust their God, will see that he
-
does provide everything. You can live your life to the
-
extent that nothing is lacking. Will stop at chapter two
-
and verse ten, so we can open the lines and
-
we can answer any questions that you have, because I
-
don't want to go too far, and you not, you
-
not have an understanding of what we read, or I
-
went too fast or I skipped anything. So you can
-
open your lines. You can open your lines very good
-
and federal notes and in our notes, and I'll also
-
have some other notes that we can put in your hands,
-
because I don't want to go too far, and I
-
want us to understand the essence of the wilderness and
-
all the other important things, because I don't want us
-
to miss those things. Okay, all right, lines are open
-
for questions.
-
Okay, bishure, So you said that it's improper for us
-
to say God is tired. But you said God gets tired, right.
-
I said that because we sometimes ascribe God's attitude to ours.
-
And God is spirit and he's human. So a lot
-
of times you will hear preachers, prophets, teachers, apostles, bishops
-
get up that God tired, He tired of y'all, and
-
God not be tired. So my point in making that
-
statement is for us to be careful what we think
-
God is tired. Oh, because God is long suffering, so
-
he doesn't get tired about what we get tired about.
-
We don't. Most of the time we based it on
-
a physical agenda, and God doesn't get tired on a
-
physical agenda. When God gets tired, it is something like
-
what we see in this text. He's saying to us,
-
I keep giving you a chance, have the chance. I
-
keep telling you the Promised Land is there. I keep
-
telling you the same thing. How many times am I
-
gonna have to tell? Not only am I telling you,
-
y'all say, actions speak louder than words. I provided for
-
you in the wilderness. I provided for you where in Egypt.
-
Y'all thought when you left Egypt you were gonna fall behind,
-
But you have nothing Latin. So he's saying to you,
-
how how many times I'm gonna have to say the
-
same thing to you. I keep telling you I'm a provider,
-
and I'm only telling you what you should already know.
-
Have you ever needed away made? And I didn't make
-
a way, not when you were in Egypt. So so
-
what he's really trying to do is he's trying to
-
get the Egypt mentality out of them, because they can't
-
take the Egypt mentality into Cana. You can't take Egypt
-
mentality into the Promised Land. So he's saying, I'm wrestling
-
with y'all. I'm doing everything I can. You. By now,
-
you should be convinced that the Lord is saying. Anybody
-
on this call and I that's not convinced. I am
-
not talking about a song. I'm not telling what you heard.
-
I'm not talking about what your mama said, what your
-
daddy said. Anybody on this call tonight who is not
-
convinced that the Lord is a way maker. You need
-
to find the quickest altar. You don't need to wait
-
for Sunday. You need to find the quickest altar you
-
can find, because if it's nothing else, I don't know,
-
I know he'll make a way. I know he will provide.
-
I know he would do what he said. Now my
-
broblem comes in. Well, sometimes I think he's taking too long.
-
But he didn't say. And that's why sometimes it's profits
-
we have to be careful because it was saying the
-
Lord said by this time. I don't say the Lord
-
said by this time tomorrow, lest the Lord tell me,
-
because I don't have any way of making it come
-
to pass. And some prophets don't give times because we
-
can't say when God's going to do something. But if
-
it's anybody's like that, don't know, the Lord's a way
-
back on door opener, give you a piece of the
-
little stall. Please let me tell you. That's my testimony.
-
I've seen him do it. I'm not trying to I'm
-
your voice down south teaching.
-
All right, Okay, one more questions real quick, and what
-
we just what the reading that we were just going through,
-
especially in the section where we were talking about I
-
think it's around the nineteenth verse first, I mean first chapter,
-
nineteenth verse somewhere along and there we were talking about
-
murmuring and complaining. When you were talking about that, and
-
we were talking about you were saying, if I understood
-
you correctly, the murmuring and the complaining is.
-
An offense to God.
-
It offends him because, as you were saying last week,
-
he's a good father to us.
-
Right, yes, okay?
-
So yes, So how do we how do how do
-
we as a people, as a believer in our lives,
-
in our lives.
-
Be careful that we.
-
That when we are questioning God, and we all do it, God,
-
why did this happen?
-
Why?
-
Why didn't this happen? How how are we careful that
-
we do not offend him? You understand what I'm saying.
-
I'm asking you a question. Or is it just that
-
he's looking at our heart, he's looking at at the
-
intent of what we're saying.
-
He's looking at the intent. How do we he's looking
-
at the personality because all of us are different. Because
-
the old Church made us feel and I'm gonna use
-
this word that I don't like to use, stupid, They
-
made us think you can't question God. Yes, you can't
-
question God. You cannot call God a curse. The sin
-
of blasphemy, okay, is when we call God a curse. Okay,
-
And that is the unforgivable sin. But I might have
-
some doubts because say, that's going to introduce them like
-
he did in the gard and eating. He's gonna always
-
introduce something into my spirit. Well yeah, well he said
-
you're gonna die, but he ain't really mean you gonna die.
-
He just meant you gonna die. I want to submit
-
to you that dying is dying because if I dying
-
a spiritual death, it's just like dying in physical death.
-
That's what's coming next. So yes, we can question God.
-
We can ask God, and we can wonder what's taking
-
so long. We just can't curse God. We can't curse
-
God and act like he does not have the ability
-
to do it. But the three Hebrew boys, when the
-
King said, oh, come on by, who is this God
-
that's gonna be able to say y'all and he can't,
-
they came back and said, wait a minute, wait a minute,
-
said king, go ahead, play your music. We ain't gonna boy,
-
because we are fully convinced, and that's what God wants us.
-
We are fullt I have faithful enough to believe that
-
if God says he's gonna bring me out, he's gonna
-
bring me out. I have faith enough to believe if
-
God said, he gonna heal me. I don't know how,
-
I don't know when, I don't know where, I don't
-
know which day. All I know is I got a
-
word and I'm hold onto that word and I believe
-
God to do it. Okay. He wants us to trust
-
him just like that. And remember I kept pushing to you.
-
He took care of the enemies. The clothes didn't wear out.
-
He fed them, He gave it. He told him who
-
to go to the bywater, who to go to the
-
buy food, who not to hang with, who not to
-
deal with? And that's the kind of relationship God wants
-
with us before we do anything. God, what do you
-
want me to do? Okay? God, Okay, Whemen, God, Okay, Lady, God,
-
this Ladys walked to my shop. Do I need to
-
deal with her because she about crazy and I'm about
-
ready to go off. The Lord said, no, no, no,
-
at peace, because you get you're entertaining a stranger unaware. Well, God,
-
this Ladys walked in my congregation. She acting am crazy.
-
I'm ready to cancers devil out. God wants us to
-
follow his specific instructions for our life. The church used
-
to teach this and we said the church was too
-
dominant and too controlling because before you got married you
-
had to bring your husband to the church because the
-
pastor was trying to make sure this, that, and the
-
I'm not advocating that, I'm just trying to show you
-
all the correlation between then and now. Before you bought
-
a house, Pastor, can you pray with me, I'm looking
-
at her and I want to make sure this is
-
the right one. Pastor, can you pray for me. I'm
-
going to look at a car to mom Castor and
-
I hit the car dealership. I need you to pray
-
for me. And really, all that was doing was shuring
-
up our relationship with God. God has so much that
-
he wants to give us. God has so much he
-
wants to do. Whenever I'm sitting in front of congregation,
-
it blows my mind because there's so many people out there.
-
Because this was a mixed multitude. God was showing the
-
Man of God everything he wanted to do for people.
-
But then the lords shows you that part of them
-
that fights against the will of God. And sometimes you
-
don't even realize it. Sometimes you think it's I just
-
want to have my way. I'm just particular I'm just
-
certain stuff I'm not gonna deal with. God said, no,
-
I'm not gonna bring anybody to you. That's not purpose,
-
that's not a part of my will. You don't want
-
to be with nobody that's not your will. You don't
-
want to hang with nobody. You don't want to be
-
on no job that's not the will of God. You
-
don't want to live in a house that is not
-
the will of God, because those things are too hard
-
to keep when we're not in the will of God.
-
That's some truth to that song. The safest place in
-
the whole wide world is in the will of God.
-
Any other questions, comments, interjections, You're certainly welcome that pastors, bishops,
-
and other folks on here, prophet, any interjections. Don't be
-
afraid to use your gift. Don't be afraid to let
-
God speak through you. I think God is trying to
-
say something to us as a ministry. God's trying to
-
say something to us. We have seen him do in
-
three months, I what he has not done for other folks.
-
The lady can in a Sunday and I am very
-
screamish about prophecy, but she read the whole book y'all
-
don't even know how honest she was being when she
-
said and his honestly got true. Mount Calvary did not
-
believe in apostles. I came in and saying, Lord called
-
me to be apostle. I would have been excommunicated out
-
of the church. So the lady just went right right
-
down the line with why wish is not the first
-
time because the lady from Apostle Ross just read the
-
mail just like sometime I get embarrassed because I know
-
we're streaming, and I was like, oh, Lord Jesus, because
-
I don't want people to feel like I want to
-
always have the reputation and Pastor Flake, you will understand
-
stand this. I always want to have the reputation that
-
I'm not throwing off on people. But the lady was
-
so accurate that I was like, Oh God, I wish
-
the people of God knew that God keeps sending people
-
in our house to confirm what he's doing. And there's
-
other stuff behind the scenes that y'all don't know about
-
that God is doing. So it blows my mind just
-
the workings of God, the mind of God, the will
-
of God. How God could do something and how he
-
could do it so fast because the Lord keeps saying
-
to me, I'm gonna do this so fast, and I'm
-
not finished doing what I'm doing. But you need people
-
who are willing and obedient, people who trust that God
-
is speaking through you through the leadership of the church.
-
Leaders who trust this is a man of God. So
-
I got I got to be here on time. I
-
got to do what I'm supposed to do. I've got
-
to because the first long heaven is Order's order. God
-
does not bless that that is not in order.
