  1. Good evening. Welcome to Voice in the Wilderness. I'm Don

  2. Noble of Pure Heart Ministries, and I welcome you today

  3. with exceedingly abundantly and overflowing joy. I certainly hope that

  4. you enjoyed those Christmas songs I selected. I enjoyed listening

  5. to it myself, and I hope that you had a

  6. wonderful and just a really blessed Christmas with family and friends.

  7. It's a special time of year, and of course here

  8. we are almost at the end of twenty twenty four.

  9. Isn't that hard to believe? It seems like time is

  10. just flying. But tonight I want to talk to you

  11. about moving with the wind of His spirit. In less

  12. than two days, we will be entering a new year,

  13. and we will have come to the quarter century mark.

  14. That's hard to believe. Twenty five years were in the

  15. first quarter of a century. Now, twenty five years ago,

  16. it was all about Y two K. And I don't know,

  17. I'm assuming that most of you who listen were around

  18. for Y two K. And you know, i'd I'd love

  19. if I could see your faces. We just love to

  20. talk to you about you know, what did you think

  21. about Y two K? And you know, it was the

  22. fear of the computers, not knowing how to transition into

  23. the new twenty first century with two zeros. People were

  24. getting a little crazy trying to prepare for the world

  25. to somehow have this disaster. And of course I did

  26. my part. I had the most glorious, I mean, most

  27. wonderful New Year's Eve party ever at my home. It

  28. was just family, my godparents, my parents, several aunts, a cousin,

  29. my husband, and I made up these gift bags for

  30. each person and each one had a Coleman waterproof flashlight,

  31. a one pound bag of ground coffee, and other little

  32. goodies that I thought they may need. Several family members

  33. still have their Coleman flashlight, including me. As we sat

  34. around the fireplace, I had each person name an individual

  35. that they felt was the most important or the most

  36. influential of the twentieth century, and so my mother chose FDR.

  37. And I really wasn't surprised. My mother was a strong

  38. Democrat all of her life until Ronald Reagan came on

  39. the scene. She and my father and they that was

  40. the end of being a democrat. My father named Winston Churchill,

  41. and of course I liked Winston Churchill, but oh my goodness,

  42. it started a firestorm with my godfather, who hated Churchill,

  43. and of course he had to take time to elaborate

  44. his distaste of Winston Churchill. Then I had each person

  45. name a song that they thought kind of I mean

  46. of the twentieth century, you know, it kind of embodied

  47. the spirit of the twentieth century, or it could have

  48. just been a favorite song of theirs in the twentieth century.

  49. And I asked them to sing it if they could.

  50. Oh my gosh, it was hilarious. But everybody had a song,

  51. believe it or not. Now, I didn't tell them this

  52. ahead of time. This was very spontaneous. My godmother actually

  53. sang this song don't Sit on Sit under the Apple

  54. Tree with anyone else but me. She sang it. So

  55. it was really precious. And you know, when it got

  56. to be midnight, believe it or not, these people lived

  57. almost an hour away, they stayed till midnight and the countdown,

  58. and we threw bags and bags and bags of confetti

  59. all over my house. I'm not kidding you. It took

  60. years before I stopped finding confetti in the couches, but

  61. it was. Oh, it was glorious. It was such a

  62. wonderful time. And if only iPhones had been invented, then,

  63. my goodness, I would have their voices and fail is

  64. to hear and see again. And that's just the you know,

  65. the disappointing thing about that time. I don't even think

  66. I had my camera out, and maybe I did, but

  67. you know, it's wow just to be able to record

  68. them and see them. Ugh. So take advantage of that

  69. now that you have phones that can do that kind

  70. of thing. When you have family gatherings and birthdays and whatever,

  71. you know, record it all so that you have it.

  72. So twenty twenty five, what lies ahead? Yesterday the wind

  73. was pretty fierce at my house. I mean it was

  74. blowing between twenty five and thirty miles per hour from

  75. about six pm until early hours of the night, and

  76. I had the television turned off. It sounded like a

  77. train was coming. That's how loud the sound of the

  78. wind was, and it was it was scary. And I

  79. heard this one large sound, so I opened the door

  80. to see if on my deck something you know, I

  81. still have chairs out there and another table and chairs,

  82. so I thought, maybe, you know, a chair flew in

  83. the air or something, so I opened the door. I

  84. could barely get outside. The wind was just blowing at

  85. me so strong. Now, this morning, I watched the clouds

  86. and they and there was sunlight that was cracking through

  87. the clouds. And I mean the wind was probably around

  88. ten to fifteen miles per hour, and the clouds were

  89. moving west to east very fast, like like it was weird.

  90. You know, you look up in the sky you see clouds,

  91. and they're usually rather stationary. These clouds were moving at

  92. like it almost seemed like the speed of light. And

  93. I sensed in my spirit this quick moving the wind

  94. of the Spirit is moving us to accelerate in these

  95. last days. Acceleration is moving forward with greater speed and

  96. greater force. And as we lean into the Holy Spirit,

  97. I believe he will take us higher in the spirit

  98. to soar above. And He has stated in the scriptures

  99. that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

  100. That entails us walking by faith to see our lives,

  101. our situations, and our circumstances from Heaven's perspective. So as

  102. we accelerate in the things of the Spirit, we're no

  103. longer going to be looking at the earth. The circumstances

  104. from an earthly perspective, which is really a carnal perspective,

  105. which is really a total lack of faith. If that's

  106. how you're looking at any situation in your life, anything

  107. that pops up. We're called to walk in the spirit,

  108. Paul said, and by this spirit, so that means that we,

  109. by faith, are to be looking at all situations circumstances

  110. from Heaven's perspective. I believe the Lord is also moving

  111. us to draw closer to him. Now, I've said this

  112. recently in the last couple months because I sense that

  113. I feel that I know that what the Lord wants. Why,

  114. because we're talking about we're talking about the Lord's return,

  115. the imminent return of the Lord. Now, I don't think

  116. it's that far away, and many other Christians feel the same.

  117. Many other ministers and leaders in the Body of Christ

  118. feel the same. Listen to any any minister on TV

  119. and you will hear that his return is imminent. So

  120. why wouldn't the Spirit of the Lord want to be

  121. accelerating our relationship to draw closer to the Lord. This

  122. is what David wrote in Psalm thirty seven, verses three

  123. through seven. He said, trust in the Lord and do good.

  124. Then you will live safely in the land and prosper.

  125. I want to stop there because people have predicted. I mean,

  126. the economic situation of the US is still very precarious,

  127. still very difficult. People are still having a hard time.

  128. The prices of things have not gone down. Right. Gasoline's

  129. still high, food is off the charts, everything's off the charts.

  130. And President Trump said, not too long ago he saw

  131. that it was going to be hard to get those

  132. prices down. Now. He didn't say that on the campaign trail,

  133. but he said that after he won. So you know,

  134. people are wondering, well, how you know, David said, trust

  135. in the Lord. Okay, so this is what you're going

  136. to have to do. As you accelerate in the things

  137. of the Spirit, You're going to have to trust in

  138. the Lord and do good. Then you will live safely

  139. in the land and prosper. So we don't look at

  140. with our natural eyes look at the economy of the

  141. United States and say, oh my, oh me, Now what

  142. we trust in the Lord. We trust in his resources.

  143. He's our source. Amen, He's our source of everything. And

  144. we can actually live safely in the land and prosper

  145. when we do those two things, trust in him and

  146. do good. And then he wrote, take delight in the Lord,

  147. and he will give you your heart's desire. So that's not

  148. predicated on anything about what's going on in the world

  149. at all. Even if another crazy virus comes. Take delight

  150. in the Lord and he will give you your heart's desires.

  151. That's a promise. These are promises, and all his promises

  152. are yes and amen. Then David writes, commit everything you

  153. do to the Lord. Everything, what's everything, everything, everything committed

  154. to the Lord. Trust him and he will help you. Right.

  155. This is not rocket science. This is very simple. Then

  156. he says, he will make your innocence radiate like the dawn,

  157. and the justice of your cause will shine like the

  158. noonday sun. You know some people, I know, the Alliance

  159. Defending Freedom Fund. I mean, these people are always defending

  160. Christians who are up against it. You know, like Jack,

  161. the guy in Colorado that was baking the cakes, you know,

  162. decorating these fanciful cakes. And you know, the gay people

  163. came against him and he's fought that how many times

  164. in the Supreme Court, the Colorado Court. I mean, this

  165. is what God's words said. He said he will make

  166. your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of

  167. your cause will shine like the noon Dane's noon day sun.

  168. So hey take hope, he continues, Be still in the

  169. presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act.

  170. Now you remember last January the word of the Lord

  171. was be still and know that I am gone. See

  172. God's going to keep speaking, still speaking that. And I

  173. mentioned that to you in the fall because the Lord

  174. again was highlighting that. Be still, be still and know

  175. that I am God. David writes, do not worry about

  176. evil people who prosper or fred about their wicked schemes.

  177. I mean, just don't even pay attention to these people.

  178. This is there. These are politicians, these are Hollywood people,

  179. you know, doing very wicked things, and you see them

  180. prosper a lot. Don't fret about it, don't worry about it.

  181. Just don't even pay attention to it. Now verses twenty

  182. three and twenty four of Psalm thirty seven, he writes,

  183. the Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights

  184. in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they

  185. will never fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.

  186. So if you're a believer in Christ. He's directing your steps,

  187. and guess what, He delights in every detail of your life.

  188. You know, it's very easy because we can't see Jesus,

  189. we can't see the Holy Ghost, we can't see the Father.

  190. So we think that we can tend to think. Oh,

  191. you know, they're not even aware. They don't even know

  192. what I'm going through. They have no clue what I'm

  193. doing today. Da da da da. Oh. Yeah. The scripture

  194. says he sees everything. Now can you picture this? Can

  195. you picture your sweet heavenly Father holding your hand wherever

  196. you go? It says here, though they stumble, they will

  197. never fall for or because the Lord holds him by

  198. the hand. So just imagine. Imagine every day, you know,

  199. you're walking through the house, you're getting in the car,

  200. you're driving down the road, you're going to the grocery

  201. store or the bank or whatever. He's holding your hand.

  202. He's holding your hand. That should encourage you. It should

  203. encourage you. He is holding your hand, he's guiding your steps,

  204. and he's he's delighting in every detail of your life.

  205. The wind of his spirit is gently moving us to

  206. a fresh new fear of the Lord. This isn't the

  207. first time I've talked about the fear of the Lord.

  208. Probably once a year I talk about the fear of

  209. the Lord because we need to hear about the fear

  210. of the Lord, especially as we as this church age

  211. is ending and we're coming up to the point of

  212. the rapture. And I wonder, I wonder as I say that,

  213. how many of you listening even understand what I mean

  214. by the fear of the Lord. And I'm just I'm asking, please,

  215. don't just have ears to listen, but have your spiritual

  216. ears tuned to the Holy Spirit. And if you've listened

  217. for any length of time to voice in the Wilderness,

  218. you know that part of my call is preparing you

  219. to meet your Lord one day. I'm preparing you to

  220. get there. And surely you want him to say, well done,

  221. good and faithful servant. You surely don't want him to say, oh,

  222. wicked servant, depart from me. The fear of the Lord

  223. is it's awakening to the reverence that is due him. Now,

  224. if you ignore him all day, and you ignore him

  225. all night, then you don't have the fear of the Lord.

  226. The fear of the Lord causes a person to want

  227. to behave in such a way that pleases the Lord.

  228. That's probably the best definition of the fear of the Lord.

  229. It causes a person to want to behave in such

  230. a way that pleases the Lord. Now listen, listen to

  231. me carefully. If you constantly bicker with your spouse, or

  232. bicker with your children, or fight with your neighbors, you

  233. have no fear of the Lord. I'm just I'm just

  234. being straight out. You have no fear of the Lord

  235. because he's opposed. He's opposed to contention, division, anger, jealousy, fighting. Yeah.

  236. So we are entering a new year. Decide now to

  237. walk in the newness of life in Christ. Make a

  238. decision now. See, I'm not going to give you like

  239. I used to. Do you know, fifteen resolutions to make

  240. for the new year. No, No, this is a whole

  241. new this is a whole new deal. Here, decide now

  242. that you're going to walk in the newness of life

  243. in Christ. Period. Surrender to Him and let him fix you.

  244. If you're struggling with issues, if you've got baggage that

  245. needs taken care of, don't drag all that baggage into

  246. twenty twenty five. Get rid of it now. Now, I

  247. believe this is going to be your best year. I do.

  248. I think twenty twenty five is going to be your

  249. best year. I think you're ready to walk up to

  250. the plate and hit a home run. And you know what,

  251. that's what I'm believing. You're gonna walk up to the

  252. plate and hit a home run this year. You're not

  253. going to be complacent and pathetic and weak and anemic.

  254. And you know, now, you're the Church of Jesus Christ.

  255. You're a believer. So I'm believing that you will step

  256. up to that plate and maybe you're gonna knock one

  257. out of the park. Walk circumspectully, keep your heart with

  258. all diligence. Pray like tomorrow maybe your last day on earth.

  259. See the good in people. It's easy to be critical.

  260. Speak blessings over people. That's what I've been doing lately,

  261. people that I just ah, you know, they you know,

  262. you just oh, you just think, oh, my goodness, gracious,

  263. why are people so irritable? I just speak a blessing

  264. over them. When you come home from work, or you

  265. come home from school, or you come home from going

  266. to the bank, imagine Jesus is waiting for you at

  267. the door. Just imagine him waiting for you at the door.

  268. You walk in and boom, there's Jesus. Oh, he's so

  269. glad to see you. He's with you and he's been

  270. holding your hand. But you know, Jesus is supernatural, so

  271. he can be in a couple places. You know, he

  272. knows how to he knows how to leave the car

  273. and suddenly be in the house and you open the

  274. door and bam, there he is. So he's waiting for

  275. you at the door, and he's in the door, and

  276. he's there. You know. Uh, that might give you the

  277. fear of the Lord. Let the wind of his spirit

  278. draw you into the word of God. Let God's word

  279. wash over you, flood your soul, and transform you into

  280. the new creation you were created to be. Ephesians five

  281. twenty six says the Word washes and cleanses us. Live

  282. and breathe God's holy Word. Say that to yourself. I'm

  283. going to live and breathe God's holy Word. Hebrews four

  284. twelve says the Word of God is alive and powerful.

  285. It's sharper than the two It's sharper than the sharpest

  286. two edged sword, dividing asunder your soul from your spirit

  287. even to the joints and marrow, and and it's a

  288. discerner of the thoughts and intents of your heart. So

  289. it exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. That's how the

  290. Word begins to do its transforming work. But you've got

  291. to read it now. Picture a tree with many, many limbs.

  292. You're the tree, and the limbs are the things that

  293. need to go. So you get out your handy dandy

  294. chainsaw out there, and you're going to cut off all

  295. these branches with your handy dandy chainsaw so you can

  296. make good use of this log to build your cabin

  297. in the same way, you spiritually cut off the dross,

  298. the junk in your life that keeps you from being

  299. pure and holy in most of all, which keeps you

  300. from being like Jesus, so that you can take that

  301. log and build your spiritual house and it will be

  302. a strong foundation. Hallelujah. I talked about this before Christmas.

  303. I talked about the light Jesus, and I believe that

  304. the wind of his spirit is moving quickly to keep

  305. us walking in the light. So listen to Ephesians five

  306. one through verses fourteen. Excuse me, verses twenty one through

  307. twenty Ephesians five. This is in the NLT New Living Translation.

  308. Imitate God. Therefore, in everything you do, because you are

  309. His dear children, live a life filled with love, following

  310. the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself

  311. as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

  312. Let there be no sexual, immorality, impurity, or greed among you.

  313. Such sins have no place among God's people. Obscene stories,

  314. foolish talk, course jokes, these are not for you. Instead,

  315. let there be thankfulness to God. You can be sure

  316. that no immoral, impure, or greedy person will inherit the

  317. kingdom of Christ and of God. For a greedy person

  318. is an idolater worshiping the things of this world. Don't

  319. be fooled by those who try to excuse these sins,

  320. for the anger of God will fall on all who

  321. disobey him. Don't participate in these things people do, for

  322. once you were full of darkness. Once you were full

  323. of darkness, but now now you have light from the Lord.

  324. So live as people of light, for this light within

  325. you produces only what is good and right and true. Certainly,

  326. carefully determine what pleases the Lord. Take no part in

  327. the worthless deeds of evil and darkness. Instead, expose them.

  328. It is shameful even to talk about the things that

  329. ungodly people do in secret. But their evil intentions will

  330. be exposed when the light shines on them. For the

  331. light makes everything visible. This is why it is said, awake,

  332. o sleeper, rise up from the dead, and Christ will

  333. give you light. So be careful how you live. Don't

  334. live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make

  335. the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't

  336. act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do.

  337. Don't be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead,

  338. be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns

  339. and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the

  340. Lord in your hearts. And give thanks to every for everything,

  341. to God the Father in the name of our Lord

  342. Jesus is Christ. This, my friend, is what living in

  343. the light is all about. So let the wind of

  344. His spirit lead you, guide you, and teach you all things.

  345. Happy New Year, blessings to you. May His joy and

  346. peace saturate your very being, and may you be conformed

  347. to Christ in twenty twenty five. See you next year.
