First First Samuel, chapter sixteen.

First Samuel, chapter sixteen. You have you'll signify you have

the bethel of mine, for I have provided for myself

a king among his sons. And Samuel says, how can

I go If Saul here's it, he will kill me.

But the Lord says, take a heifer with you and say,

I have come to sacrifice to the Lord. Then invite

Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will show you what

you shall do. You shall annoy for me the one

that I named to you. Samuel did what the Lord

said and went to Bethlehem. And the elders of the

town trembled at his coming and said, do you come peaceably?

And he said, peaceably, I have come to sacrifice to

the Lord. Sanctify yourselves and come with me to the sacrifice.

Then he consecrated Jesse and his sons and invited them

to the sacrifice. So it was when they came that

he looked at Eleb and he surely was not the

Lord's anointed. But the Lord said to Samuel, do not

look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because

I have refused him, for the Lord does not see

as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance,

but the Lord looks at the heart. So Jesse called

Abinadad and made him pass before. Samuel said, neither has

the Lord chosen this one. Then Jesse made Shamar pass by,

and he said, neither has the Lord chosen this one.

Then Jesse seven of his sons passed before Samuel, and

Samuel said to Jesse, the Lord has not chosen these,

And sam you'll set to Jesse.

Then he said, there remains yet the youngers, and there

he is keeping the sheep. And Samuel said to Jesse,

send and bring him, for we will not sit down

because it is very easy to become excited about God

and not get the substance.

That God wants to put in our lives.

Some of us are good showpieces, but when it comes

up to living the reality, we can be very deceptive.

But this particular scripture is written in the backdrop of

a time when Israel has chosen for its self a king.

They determined that because everybody else around them had a

king that was tangible, a king that could be touched,

a king who was right there with them, that it

became necessary for them to have the same. I tell

people you must be careful in Christendom when you're trying

to keep up with the Joneses, because we have a

tendency to somehow be in competition with folks that there

is really no competition of form.

A lot of times we miss it because you.

Don't know what a person had to go through in

order to be anointed as they have. You've got to

look around you, and you've got to consider that some

of us look good for the stuff that we have

come through, because some of us have come through the water,

some of us have come through the flood, and some

of us have come through the blood.

But all of.

Us, if we would be honest with the people around us,

there is a story behind our praise. Some of us

because we are liberators like Moses and like Jesus, the

enemy has had the propensity to try to take us

out because he wants us to be faithless. He wants

us to be hopeless, He wants us to serve ourselves

in anxiety, because he does not want us to come

to the conclusion that while we are not where we're

going to be, we certainly are not where we used

to be. So we have to, in the house of

God learn how to put those things behind us that

come to stain our lives and press towards the mark

for the prize of the hall hope of the calling

of Jesus. We have to learn how to be transformed

by the renewing of our minds. It is a sense

that the Saint of God can be in prison, but

prison does not have to be in you. You can

be in Egypt and in a bound situation. But I've

come to tell somebody that when God gives you liberty

your holler in the most strangest places, folks will try

to suffer your praise. They'll try to suffocate your praise.

But there are some folks that know the ability of God.

And it's not just a quote pro saying.

But when I think of the goodness of Jesus and

all that He's done for me, my soul begins to

cry out Thelujah. I thank God for saving me. For

some of us, this thing is not a fellowship. It's

not something that we did because our mothers and our

fathers did. But some of us we have a real

praise because God has brought us through some stuff that

should have taken us out.

God has delivered us from some folks.

That were set in our lives to destroy us. God

has given us freedom while we were yet in the prison.

God has allowed the blessings of the Lord to continue

when the enemy thought that he was going to cut

them out. You got to be careful enough to know

who you are in God and where He's taking you.

I know it's real early, but can't you look at

a neighbor and say, neighbor, don't fool your self. Oh fuck,

I'm not where I'm going to be, but I'm on

my way. So you cannot allow folks to judge you.

You can allow folks to put you down. You can

allow folks to make you feel sorry. Sometimes you've got

to pull your up from the bottom simply knowing that

because the hand of God is on my life, God's

going to do everything that he promised. So it is

interesting because our text here laze before us, an interesting story.

lays before us. This interesting story is real. Understand something

that we need to understand that. The first thing they

understand is you can be in position and God fire you.

Sometimes God will let you work, He'll let you still

after God's warning, finds himself in a precarious situation. Saul

It makes me wonder how many folks are in church

serving the Lord, praising God, doing his will, preaching the gospel,

laying hands on the sick, and God is not with him.

You must understand that there are some folks that God

has rejected, and we are in a season where God

is rejecting the folks that we fake are to be accepted,

and accepting the folks that he think God ought to reject.

So you better be careful who you.

Sleep on, because some of us have slept on folks

of God and I understand that some things just don't

come overnight for some of us. God is formulating your life. Oh,

Living God, Jesus had to be rejecting of man.

was rejected and he went through things like us shucking.

that we're going through.

So Jesus had to walk ame of men.

He had to be rejected by family folks, he had

to be looked at funny, he had to be mistreated

by the folks that should have loved him, just so

he can get to the place of his destiny.

And here in our text, Shut, we see the same

phenomenon happening.

it and teaching it everywhere I go. This is a

God year. This is a year of jubilee for the

saints of God, a year of promise and a year

of prosperity. This is the year where you better listen

to the prophet because the prophet has twenty twenty vision.

If you hear the word of the prophet, every word

is going to be established. If you believe what they say,

you will prosper This is not the year to be

struggling with your salvation. Live right, live holy, Do what

God tells you to do, and you will see the

manifestation of blessings.

If you're in this place, every head.

To spout, every I close, and you know you need

the Lord in your life. Going to ask you if

you want just to raise your hands in the sanctuary. Pastor,

I'm not saved, but I want to be saved. I

want the Lord to come into my life. Is there

The Bible says you can confess with them out. The

Lord Jesus believes them. In your heart, God shall deliver you.

That's all it takes for salvation. If you're here, just

you're here and you are a backslider, you've gotten away

from the will of God. If you're here and it

is your desire to come closer to Him this morning, won't.

We believe God for miracles. We believe God for great things.

Because you have already decreed and declare that this shall

be a year of prosperity, a year of promise, and

a year of blessings. So we walk in the manifestation

of everything you have promise and everything that you have said.

I thank you that it is blessing the Lord that

make it rich and added with them no sorrow. Strengthen us, Lord,

because you are our strength that goes beyond anything we

can imagine. We bless you for it, and we give

you praise in Jesus' name. Now clap those hands all

in this place and thank Him for strength. Thank Him
