  1. Good evening. Welcome to Voice in the Wilderness. I'm Don

  2. Noble with Pure Heart Ministries, and I welcome you today

  3. with exceedingly abundantly and overflowing joy. It is a pleasure

  4. to be with you this evening, and I have for

  5. you the prophetic word for twenty twenty five that the

  6. Lord has spoken to me. Now this is two parts,

  7. so today is part one. Next week I'll give you

  8. the other piece of it. But the prophetic word is

  9. here and obey. And it all started this past July thirteenth.

  10. I know it was the day President Trump had an

  11. assassination attempt on his life. But that day, a beautiful Saturday,

  12. I had my family, my sister, my cousins, and friends

  13. at my home for our yearly summer gathering. Normally we

  14. meet on July fourth, but because of my desire to

  15. attend the summer church camp meetings, we moved the date.

  16. My cousin, who knows I love antique glass, brought me

  17. a beautiful gift. It was a glass owl swirled in

  18. different shades of brown and cream. It must have been

  19. a candy dish, as the head of the owl was removable.

  20. She had no idea about my love of owls, not

  21. decorative owls, my love of real owls. I had what

  22. I call the distinct honor of seeing and hearing a

  23. great horned owl many years ago. That horned owl was

  24. roughly eighteen inches tall, and it was in a pine

  25. tree next to the bathroom. I was up early one

  26. summer morning and the screen window was open. I heard

  27. this very loud, deep hoot, and as I peered out

  28. the window, I could see it's silhouette on the branch

  29. of the pine tree. I am not exaggerating. It was

  30. a huge bird. Not only is it tall, but it

  31. is robust. It is a big, fat owl. And I

  32. actually got to see a great horned owl on the

  33. operating table. So a local vet here and wheeling. I

  34. happened to be at the office, and he said, hey,

  35. why don't you come back and look at this ow.

  36. The owl had injured injured its wing and he was

  37. going to repair it, and it was It was just

  38. crazy to be able to see that owl so up close.

  39. I mean, gosh, you know, in the in the nature,

  40. in the natural, you never get to see that. So

  41. that was really cool. And anyway, this huge bird continued

  42. to hoot, so I just stayed in the bathroom listening

  43. to this thing. It was. It was wild. So I

  44. started a fascination with owls. There was a screech owl

  45. that made crazy sounds, usually in August, and I think,

  46. if I'm correct, that's when they mate. And so I

  47. kept hearing these sounds and it's not it's not a hoot.

  48. It's just the literally a screeching, a screeching that sounds

  49. like like a little kid screaming. And I had no

  50. idea what that was until I looked it up. I

  51. was like, oh my goodness. Anyway, while vacationing in Sun Valley,

  52. Idaho one year, I saw a magnificent gray colored owl.

  53. I don't know what, you know, what kind of owl

  54. it was, but it was. It was really a neat

  55. owl sitting in a blue spruce. And this was in

  56. the middle of a sunny day. And I thought that

  57. was so odd because they really are creatures of the night.

  58. But there it sat in the blue spruce on a

  59. sunny day. And my love affair with owls continues. So

  60. when my cousin gave me this unique gift, I fell

  61. in love with it. I knew the Lord had a

  62. hand in it. Right then, but I wasn't sure how.

  63. And then it began. I started seeing owls everywhere. And

  64. it started in October instead of November. Usually the Lord

  65. will begin early in November to start speaking to me

  66. about the coming year. But this was early in October.

  67. And I mean I began to see these owls everywhere.

  68. It was it was just, you know, actually supernatural. I

  69. saw pictures and magazines, I saw jewelry. I saw a

  70. store here in Wheeling that sold so many kind of

  71. owl things. It just never stopped. It just went on

  72. and on. And what I usually do is I take

  73. a photo of it so that I can refer back

  74. to it. And it just it got out of hand

  75. because I kept seeing so many pictures of owls. So

  76. suddenly the Lord had my attention and I figured it out.

  77. The Lord is speaking to me about owls, and I

  78. knew that that was relating to the word for twenty

  79. twenty five. Now the focus became the barn owl. And

  80. the most striking feature of the American barn owl is

  81. its large, heart shaped white face. It is ringed by

  82. darker feathers in stiff tight rows known as facial rough.

  83. And this rough and if you ever you know, you

  84. can google a picture of an American barn owl and

  85. you'll see that you'll see this perfectly white face with

  86. this thin, dark feathers around the face, and that's called

  87. the rough. The rough reflects and augments sound similar to

  88. a satellite dish, and it funnels the sound waves toward

  89. toward it exceptionally toward its exceptionally sensitive ears. So all

  90. of that is working together to give this owl incredible hearing.

  91. Unlike most owls, these owls do not have tough to ears,

  92. So if you do google a picture of this owl,

  93. you will see they have no ears. In fact, their

  94. ears are hidden in their feathers, and their ears are asymmetrical.

  95. So God has a I mean, who can figure God out?

  96. It is amazing how he designed this creature of the night.

  97. Because the right ear and its opening is tilted slightly upward,

  98. yet the left ear and its opening is tilted slightly downward,

  99. so they're not like directly across from one another. And

  100. this asymmetry helps the barn owl locate the direction of

  101. sound both horizontally and vertically, allowing the owl to pinpoint

  102. the location of prey with remarkable accuracy, even in complete

  103. darkness that is truly amazing. The barn Owl's keen eyes

  104. and ears search for the slightest movement. They can hunt

  105. in total darkness almost exclusively through sound, though they do

  106. also have excellent low light vision. So this creature has

  107. been created by God in such a very unique way

  108. that sound is its most optimal feature, so that it

  109. can eat, so it can find prey. And it's prayer

  110. mostly mice, you know, rodents, moles, voles, those kinds of things. Now,

  111. as most of you know, the Lord highlights things in

  112. the natural that he wants to talk to me about

  113. in the supernatural. And as long as I've been on

  114. the radio, I've been sharing these kinds of stories. You know.

  115. One year, I remember I was seeing red cars. I

  116. was seeing red cars, red trucks. It was bizarre, and

  117. you know it's the Lord, and you know it's supernatural

  118. because typically when you're driving, you're not looking for a

  119. specific color of car. I mean that sounds weird, I know,

  120. but that's how the Lord works. It's supernatural. And the

  121. minute I kept seeing all these red cars and red trucks,

  122. I'm like, oh, so Lord, what do you want to

  123. say about red cars and red trucks. This year it

  124. was owls. And like I said, it started on July,

  125. the famous July thirteenth of twenty twenty four. So yes,

  126. the Lord highlights things in the natural that he wants

  127. to talk to me about in the supernatural. And as

  128. I pondered about this focus on owls and in particular

  129. the bar, now it became obvious that the Lord was

  130. directing me to the hearing aspect of this marvelous species.

  131. Here is the word of the Lord for twenty twenty five.

  132. Here and obey. And as I mentioned at the beginning,

  133. there is a second part of this word, and that

  134. part of the word is regarding wisdom, and I'll be

  135. sharing that with you next week, okay, with regard to

  136. hear and obey the scripture verse Now, it's interesting I

  137. was seeing these owls just it seemed like every day

  138. I saw a picture of an owl somewhere somehow. And

  139. then out of the blue, the scripture came. And at

  140. first I did not relate it to the hearing or

  141. the owls or whatever. But this scripture gripped me. And

  142. here's what it says. This is Deuteronomy, chapter thirty, verse twenty,

  143. and this is I cut off a little bit of

  144. the first sentence. Then it starts the second sentence. It says,

  145. obey his voice and cling to him, for he is

  146. your life and the length of your days. Now to obey,

  147. first you have to hear. You have to hear him

  148. tell you to do something before you can obey. So

  149. once you hear, now you have a choice. Do you

  150. ignore his voice or do you obey what he said.

  151. All I can tell you is that it will be

  152. imperative this year that when he tells you to do something,

  153. you had better not hesitate or worship totally ignore him.

  154. Now I'll share a personal story where I did, and

  155. I'm just telling you not to do so. This occurred

  156. toward the end of the summer, was either end of

  157. the summer early fall, and I was having a conversation

  158. with someone and this was in person. The conversation was

  159. in person. It was at a certain place, and this

  160. person had just lost their spouse. And in the conversation

  161. I apparently said some things that really upset this person.

  162. Now that was never my intention, truly, I had no intention,

  163. Like why would I want to intentionally upset someone who

  164. just lost a spouse? But I was floored by the

  165. angry response, and I wasn't sure exactly what I did

  166. or what I said that caused the person to get

  167. up and leave. They they were so upset. Well, I thought,

  168. I actually in my mind, as I pondered over this

  169. for weeks, I thought, well, I think, you know, I

  170. was actually trying to help. And I kind of got

  171. put out because I was like, I can't even believe

  172. this person is so angry at me, Like I didn't

  173. do anything here. I am trying to help and this

  174. person is like lashing out at me. So anyway, I

  175. figured out obviously that what I had said was not

  176. interpreted the way or what I meant. It did not

  177. come across correctly, and it really bothered me for a while.

  178. I mean, I'm the kind of person I like to

  179. be in harmony with all people. I don't like anybody

  180. to be upset with me or have an issue or whatever.

  181. I like. I like smooth sailing peace, and so once

  182. in a while I would hear the Lord tell me

  183. to rectify the situation, and I had good excuses why

  184. I thought I should avoid that plan, And probably my

  185. good excuses were, you know, like like I didn't do anything. Lord,

  186. I didn't do anything. I don't know why this person's

  187. so upset. Well, after five months, I learned that this

  188. person had been in the hospital recently, and I heard

  189. the Lord clearly tell me to apologize for the misunderstanding.

  190. I mean I didn't even hesitate. I mean I didn't

  191. even I had no uh you know, I didn't argue

  192. with the Lord. I didn't try to stick up for myself.

  193. I just I knew, boom, I need to do this.

  194. So I sat down and I wrote out a card,

  195. and I told her how sorry I was and how

  196. I hoped that she was recovering well. And it just

  197. so happens that I'm currently on a twenty one day fast.

  198. I can tell you that I heard his voice so clear,

  199. and I knew I had to obey. And I will

  200. kind of throw this in for free. When you fast

  201. and pray, you will hear the Lord so clearly. And

  202. if you have a decision you need to make about

  203. anything big or little, I encourage you to go on

  204. a fast. And I mean fast, I mean like no food.

  205. And now what we do is we do one meal

  206. in twenty four hours. So we fast literally twenty four hours,

  207. eat a meal fast, twenty four hours, eat a meal.

  208. But I'm telling you I heard I heard the Lord's voice.

  209. His voice was so clear to me, and boy, I

  210. mean I was willing and ready to obey so and

  211. and I determined never to let my pride get in

  212. the way again, because really, ultimately, that's what the Lord

  213. showed me was the problem, was my pride. Yeah, so

  214. there's somebody listening to me. You may have had a

  215. similar situation and you have blown it off, and the

  216. Lord has tried to get you to square this thing up,

  217. and you've refused, just like I did, hesitated, made excuses. Well,

  218. it's probably pride. Pride is really sly and it is

  219. so demonic, and it so ugly, and I hate it.

  220. So I have determined never again will I let pride

  221. get in the way. And I'll tell you what if

  222. it should ever happen again where somebody gets upset with me,

  223. I'm going to address it quickly. I'm not going to

  224. let it linger on. And my point is this, if

  225. we want to live in the blessing of the Lord,

  226. we must obey his commands when he speaks. Now, what

  227. if this person had passed away before I could apologize.

  228. I mean, you're talking five months past and we don't know.

  229. We don't know the day or the hour a person's

  230. going to go home to be with the Lord. Now,

  231. had that happened, that would have not been good. So

  232. that's just one instance that I wanted to share with you,

  233. and this story happens to be at a relationship. But

  234. one thing I do I want to say this. I

  235. see twenty twenty five being bright and dark at the

  236. same time, peace for those of us who remain steadfast

  237. in the things of the Lord, and tumultuous for everyone else.

  238. Let me say that again. I see twenty twenty five

  239. as being bright and dark at the same time that

  240. there will be peace for those of us who remain

  241. steadfast in the Lord with our eyes on the Lord,

  242. but it will be tumultuous for everyone else, including Christians

  243. who don't keep their eyes on the Lord. Whatever you

  244. hear the Lord tell you to do, whether it has

  245. to do with your spouse or your children, relatives, friends,

  246. co workers, strangers, just do it. It could be that

  247. he wants you to share Christ with a coworker. Don't hesitate,

  248. I'm not kidding. Don't hesitate their soul is on the line.

  249. Maybe he'll tell you to fly somewhere or change your

  250. plans right in the middle of a planned trip. Just

  251. listen and obey. It could save your life. Now, just

  252. like that bar, Now your hearing needs to be sensitive

  253. to his voice. And I'll tell you this. If all

  254. you do is clutter your hearing with television or chatter

  255. on videos or a chatter on your cell phone, You're

  256. gonna miss his voice. You're gonna need to find time

  257. to have quiet space where you can be where it's

  258. silent and you can listen to his voice. I'm telling

  259. you this will be a critical year, and I mean

  260. critical last year, did I what was the word of

  261. the Lord for twenty twenty four? Be still and know

  262. that I am God. That was the word. Be still

  263. and know that I am God. This year it's here

  264. and obey. So you have to be still in and

  265. know the Lord so that you can hear the Lord.

  266. We must hear his voice and obey. You know why,

  267. because the reward is worth it. We must hear and

  268. obey his voice. Because the reward, or I should say

  269. the rewards plural is worth it. The rewards plour are

  270. worth it. Let me get my English correct. So let

  271. me conclude with these scriptures. I'm going back to Deuteronomy

  272. chapter thirty. I'm going to be reading out of the

  273. Amplified Classic Edition of the Bible, and so when I

  274. shared with you in the beginning from verse twenty, that's

  275. actually the last part of Deuteronomy thirty. So I'm going

  276. to start Deuteronomy chapter thirty. I'm starting in verse eight

  277. and reading through twenty. And you shall return and obey

  278. the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments

  279. which I command you today. And the Lord your God

  280. will make you abundantly prosperous in every work of your hand,

  281. in the fruit of your body, of your cattle, of

  282. your land for good. For the Lord will again delight

  283. in prospering you as he took delight in your fathers.

  284. If you obey the voice of the Lord your God

  285. to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written

  286. in this book of the Law, and if you turn

  287. to the Lord your God with all your mind and

  288. heart and with all your being. For this commandment which

  289. I command you this day is not too difficult for you,

  290. nor is it far off. It is not a secret

  291. laid up in heaven, that you should say, who shall

  292. go up for us to heaven and bring it to

  293. us that we may hear and do it. Neither is

  294. it beyond the sea that you should say, who shall

  295. go over the sea for us and bring it to

  296. us that we may hear and do it. But the

  297. word is very near you, in your mouth and in

  298. your mind and in your heart, so that you can

  299. do it. See, I have set before you this day

  300. life and good, and death and evil. If you obey

  301. the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command

  302. you today, to love the Lord your God, to walk

  303. in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his

  304. statutes and his ordinances, then you shall live and multiply,

  305. and the Lord your God will bless you in the

  306. land into which you go to possess. But if your

  307. mind and heart turn away, and you will not hear,

  308. but are drawn away to worship other gods and serve them,

  309. I declare to you to day that you shall surely perish,

  310. and you shall not live long in the land which

  311. you pass over the Jordan to enter and possess. I

  312. call heaven and earth to witness this day against you

  313. that I have set before you life and death, the

  314. blessings and the curses. Therefore, choose life that you and

  315. your descendants may live and may love the Lord your God.

  316. Obey his voice and cling to him, for he is

  317. your life and the length of your days. So again,

  318. as I was sharing last week, you know, there's that

  319. if if you obey his voice. And of course we

  320. want to be people that do obey his voice. Now

  321. we can, you know, we can get obstinate, and we

  322. can allow pride, just like I did to get in

  323. between and not obey him. And fortunately God was merciful

  324. and I had an opportunity to make things right. So,

  325. as I said earlier, it's imperative. I'm telling you this word.

  326. Just write it down, tuck it away somewhere, put it

  327. in your Bible, I don't know, post it in the kitchen.

  328. Hear and obey. That's the word for twenty twenty five.

  329. So keep the word near you. Keep the word near

  330. you so you can say, as in verse fourteen, but

  331. the word is very near you in your mouth and

  332. in your mind and in your heart, so that you

  333. can do it. You can't obey, you can hear. It

  334. may save your life. Better yet, it may save the

  335. life of someone you love or possibly someone you don't

  336. even know. Amen, Well, this is Don Noble. You can
