Let's celebrate all of it, all of them. Lendister Aaron
-
dance like this is his last time. So we salute
-
him and thank God for him. Thank you choir, praise team,
-
thank you Doctor Flake, thank.
-
You musicians and minstrels. We appreciate you. John's Gospel, chapter five.
-
My natural son is in the house, and I'm always honored.
-
I certainly thank God for Brando.
-
He's my oldest son.
-
I got a lot of spiritual sons, but it's something
-
when God allows your natural son.
-
He's been here all weekend, and when they come home,
-
they just take their mama.
-
And go by their business. Don't tell them I think
-
they loved him. I'm a boy than they love their daddy.
-
But I'm not gonna get caught up on that today.
-
I'm just gonna thank God that.
-
He has a wonderful He and Jeremy have a wonderful
-
relationship with their mother. And I think that's a wonderful thing,
-
and I certainly appreciate it.
-
John's Gospel, chapter five.
-
It is a familiar passion of Scripture to those of
-
us who have read it. Sometimes when the Lord gives
-
you something familiar to preach just color, you get real nervous.
-
But I begin to see things in this particular text
-
that I have not seen in a while.
-
It is in John's Gospel, chapter five that this particular
-
scripture is only written, and it says after this there
-
was a feast.
-
Of the Jews, and Jesus went into Jerusalem.
-
Now there is that Jerusalem, by the sheep market, a
-
pool which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having
-
fine porches, and these lay a great multitude of impotent folk.
-
A blind hawk with it, waiting for the moving of
-
the water, waiting for the movement of the waiting.
-
For the movement of the water.
-
For an angel went down at a certain season into
-
the pool in trouble the water.
-
And whosoever then first after the troubling.
-
Of the water stepped in, was made whole of whatsoever
-
disease he had.
-
But a certain man was there, which had an infirmative
-
for thirty and eight years.
-
But when Jesus saw him lie and knew that he
-
had been now a long time in that case, he said,
-
unto him, wilt thou be made whole? The impudent man
-
answered him, Sir, I have no one When the water
-
is troubled to put me into the pool.
-
But while I am coming, another step down.
-
Before me, and Jesus said unto him, rise up, take
-
up your bed and walk.
-
That's all we need. Closed your bibles.
-
But look at his neighbors and take your seat and say, neighbor,
-
don't waste another moment. Come on, look at another neighbor, said, neighbor,
-
don't waste another moment. Lastly, I'm going to allow you
-
to indiject your feelings.
-
Look at the neighbor say I'm.
-
Tired of you said, don't waste another moment. We certainly
-
celebrate brother Greg Jones, who's visiting from Anti State University.
-
On this morning.
-
I had a house yesterday full of rams, and I
-
had to tell folk when we're not mad at the rams,
-
we thank God for the rams.
-
Amen, but we are Anti State University.
-
But I bless God for all Anti and the rams
-
in the house and everybody else that went to a HBCU.
-
This is an interesting particular scripture in all of us
-
that sometimes have heard it, Minister Robinson at sometimes on another.
-
God has caused us to go pass the scripture.
-
But I begin to look at it with a new
-
light because this particular scripture, why we know the whole story.
-
The Bible says that there is a pool by the
-
place that is called but that's done, and what would
-
happen is because wils it was the sheep gate. It
-
was the entrance into salvation. It was the entrance into
-
the place that God was trying to get somebody in.
-
But what is.
-
Interesting with this particular scripture is this particular day, God
-
chooses this place a full of folk that need deliverance.
-
But my problem with the text is only one person
-
got their deliverance. But I need you to look at
-
a neighbor and say, but that's not going to happen today.
-
To talk, you gotta talk.
-
You shouldn't have sat beside that person if you wasn't
-
gonna talk to them, because you know shouts by now
-
and say nay, but that's not what's going to happen today.
-
I am at the place that I am not just
-
satisfied a Terrell with being blessed myself. I want to
-
see the folk around me blessed. I thought I would
-
get a better response than that.
-
I don't just want to be healed.
-
I want to see everybody around me healed. I don't
-
just want to be blessed, but I want to see
-
everybody around me blessed because our God is able to
-
do exceeding and abundant. I'm trying not to get happy
-
too quick. Above all, we can never ask a think.
-
There's nothing that is impossible for our God. He can
-
do anything he walks to. He's sovereign. He can do
-
it in the morning if he wants to. He can
-
do it in the noonday if he wants to. He
-
is so much God that he has the ability to
-
do some great things.
-
Shot.
-
But as we look at this particular text, it is
-
an interesting text because only John records this. You don't
-
see this anywhere else. And so when John picks it up,
-
you've got to understand John's writing. It is John that
-
souls us the I am ness of God. He solds
-
us seven attributes of God.
-
It is John that souls us.
-
An intimate portrait of who God is. John introduces to
-
us that he is the bread of life. Jean tells
-
us that he is the resurrection and life. John tells
-
us he's water when you're first at John tells us
-
that God is a waymaker and a door opener. John
-
tells us in the beginning was the Word, and the
-
word was with God. So he writes to us this
-
intricate portrait because he wants us to understand we're not
-
just serving a God who is lifeless, but we're serving
-
the one and only, true and living God. I'm getting
-
too happy here. I'm trying to get here. I got
-
to read this little manuscript that I wrote. But I
-
want you to understand that John is trying to.
-
Sew us something about God.
-
So he puts this interesting story at a place where
-
he plucks it between chapters four and chapter six, because
-
he wants us to know that there is nothing our
-
God cannot do. Shows us this man who is taken
-
daylight and he is laid at the.
-
Freshhold of his blessing.
-
And he has to deal with the fact that not
-
only is he there by himself, but the text denotes
-
to us such that there are five portraes, folks who
-
are hot, folks that are withered, folks that are blind
-
waiting for something to happen. I come to submit to
-
the church this morning. Sometimes you can't wait for stuff
-
to happen, that you got to make something happen yourself.
-
So it is here now that John begins to unport
-
us the story. It's Shun that introduces to us shut
-
that while this man is taken daily and laid by
-
the pool luck, he has become helpless in his situation.
-
Because Shut, sometimes you can become so bargled in your
-
mind that you think there is no help. But I
-
am after that person this morning who has determined and.
-
Decided to settle.
-
Not.
-
I'm after that person.
-
Nothing, who no longer has ingenuity or creativity. I'm after
-
that person who has decided this.
-
Is the way things are going to be.
-
I'm after that person not whose mind has tricked you
-
into faking nothing else can happen.
-
Not.
-
The text then denotes to us shut that while this
-
man is here.
-
He goes through this shut, not twelve years shut, he
-
goes through this not twenty four years shut, but for
-
thirty eight.
-
Years he goes through the same thing.
-
But I've come this morning to tell somebody in this
-
house God is about to break your cycle.
-
Lot. I know you've been.
-
Used to certain stuff, and you've been used to certain
-
folks handling you happy. You've been used to certain things happening,
-
and you've conditioned yourself to believe that things are.
-
Not going to change. Shut.
-
But I've come to tell this house of Zion nothing.
-
That we live in a season where we become comfortable
-
lot with looking at the same stuff.
-
We've become callous now and our.
-
Expectancy has become limited by what we see yat. But
-
I heard the Lord declare rap. We don't walk by
-
save not, but we walk by faith. And I've come
-
this morning to tell this house shut in a world
-
full of disposable shut, where everything is comfortable luck in
-
a microwave world lock, and in a world what we
-
become customed to plate shuck that are paper plates and
-
paper cups, suck and plastic forkshu where it's easy to
-
throw things away yet and it's easy to eat out
-
of disposable shot. In a world where we're used to
-
just opening upper can happen and just pouring it into
-
the heat, there is still a significance shut in recognizing
-
that God is not into throwing things away. And I
-
need you to look at him, neighbor and say, neighbor,
-
I needs you to understand it.
-
I don't need you to throw me away. Yeah, I
-
don't need you to.
-
Fake that my situation is disposable lot.
-
I don't need you to give up on me. Now.
-
I may have made some strides shut and I've come
-
through some trials shucking, and I've overshopped some hurdle shuck,
-
and things may not be like that used to. But
-
tell a neighbor around you, say, neighbor, don't you dare
-
care upon me? I've come to submit to you that
-
you have not seen your best day. You have not
-
made the money that God's about to let you make. Shuppy,
-
you don't even live in the house that God has
-
designed for you. You're not have the shop that you're
-
going to finish it. I won't for such to not
-
get satisfied with what you see. Can you look at him,
-
neighbor and say, neighbor things about such shames for me?
-
That wasn't the right name. You need to find you
-
another neighbor, say name things our abounce sayings for me.
-
You still don't have the right neighbor might have to run.
-
To the other side, say neighbor things our about to
-
sayings for me. So now, jealousy, yep, must be a
-
thing that the church must deal with because there's a
-
lot of folks that are jealous about where you're on now.
-
But I've come to tell you that.
-
God's getting ready to make some folks made.
-
God's getting ready to disturb what folks thought about you.
-
God's getting ready to disturb what your mama say. What
-
so Daddy saying, I've come to tell somebody up in
-
this house, God has.
-
They finally souls in you. God hass get you out
-
of the crowd. God has place his hands on your
-
life up.
-
God hass anned you for your miss I've come to tell.
-
You you're just like Esther.
-
God has called you up to the kingdom, up for
-
such a time as this.
-
I needs you the whole hands with a neighbor. While
-
you're holding hands, say neighbor, I got to convince you.
-
Don't settle for less than what he says.
-
Don't dream help and not expect your dream to come
-
to pass. Don't have visions and not expect God to
-
do it. Don't pray up and think that God's not
-
going to answer.
-
Don't look for it and think you're not going to
-
receive it.
-
Don't expected her and then sit there in doubt. Don't doubted,
-
but have faith in what he says. Something I've come
-
to tell.
-
This house of sighing that Abama.
-
Something is a prom of something, and every favorite heppen.
-
That God chuls everything that God's sons, everything that God
-
spoke to your hunt, everything that God with spread up,
-
everything that God say it, everything.
-
That God's placed in your pants. He's getting ready to
-
use it for his Lord.
-
Can I give you a word? BA have not saved?
-
Is have not heard?
-
Need them?
-
Have it in the hands of me.
-
The things, the things, the things, the things, the things,
-
the things, the things, the things He hands it store.
-
Can you get out to sea? I'm almost things? What fine?
-
Three names? Tell the name.
-
Expected by the end of the.
-
Month, expected by the end of.
-
The week, expected by the end of the year, expected
-
by the end of the day.
-
Expect that before the day is home expected.
-
Ask the name, Say name, what are you looking for?
-
So tell him name.
-
Don't wait up until it does it rise, until it
-
does it.
-
Don't wakes up for him to fulfill it. He's full
-
life out topering of this stake.
-
He who have begune.
-
Workship in you, He will bring at us to completion.
-
Wave your hands.
-
Over, neighbors here, tell a name. He ain't finished with
-
you yet.
-
Come on.
-
Tell me you ain't seeing your best stage yet. Tell
-
them you ain't saying manifestation. But tell him it's in
-
the atmosphere. Mataphi station, Matafi station, Manifis station. Tell somebody's
-
in the atmosphere. Tell somebody he's about to do it,
-
and he's about to do it. Quickly, Tell somebody he's
-
going he's going to answer.
-
Quickly. Tell somebody I.
-
See it in the spiritod I fear and mynah.
-
I seens it in the spirit. Shop straight, folks. Tell
-
them God's about to do it. Somebody tell them do it?
-
No, do it, y'all are.
-
In the right house. Do it, do it? Do it
-
for my name, do it for my friend, do it
-
for my sister, do it for my do do it?
-
Do it? Do it?
-
We look soup to blast, we loop super to manifest,
-
we loose soup pot us.
-
Do it, do it?
-
Do it?
-
You don't have to likes do it doing. Tell a name,
-
he's about to do it.
-
While you're placing, he's don't do it. While you're seeking,
-
he's don't do it. Why you're looking, He's don't.
-
Good, said sir set I need I need five minutes
-
to teach I need five minutes to teach. Take your seat, man,
-
it said.
-
Take your seat. Say any time now, any minute now,
-
any moment now, let me deal with the things. I'm finished,
-
I promise you.
-
I feel him doing it. I hear him doing it.
-
I can sense it. He's out to something I've been
-
father days over. Before I leave the church house, before
-
I leave the church house.
-
Gos go do it, Gospel, betform me. God's gone to answer.
-
I've been waiting, but he's ready. I've been listening.
-
But I hear you. Take your seat, Take your seat,
-
Take your seat, Pull your neighbor down, take your seat.
-
He says. Flick. He says flick. He says, to give
-
you some scripture.
-
First scripture, he says, is Isaiah forty three at nineteen.
-
This is God's announcement. Don't look for me to do it.
-
I want to do things like I used to do things.
-
Don't be looking at the window and I decide to
-
come through the door, because this next thing.
-
I'm gonna do it's gonna be beyond your understanding.
-
So he says in Isaiah forty three nineteen, behold, I
-
will do.
-
A new thing.
-
Sam who say I no stip lot coxcuse me, pursy.
-
He said, don't expect the same old, same old. Don't
-
expect me.
-
To youse who are used to you.
-
But I'm blessing some folks that's in your vicinity, so
-
they'll be able to be a blessing.
-
In your life.
-
I gotta get out of here, and he sayss flake.
-
He said, give you Luke five, because he told me.
-
To tell you I refuse.
-
To put new wine into old wine skins. In other words,
-
there are some things you're going to have to do
-
to show God I'm ready to receive. You're gonna have
-
to change your way of thinking.
-
Y'all. We're not gonna like me now.
-
You gonna have to change your theology. You're gonna have
-
to change your identity because God says I got new wine,
-
but I can't put it in your old structure.
-
Oh, this ain't going over whell I thought it would
-
go over, wealthy God.
-
God is saying I got something new, but I can't
-
bless you with anything new until you get rid.
-
Of the old. This ain't Bible, this is Newton Robinson.
-
Newton says two things cannot possess the same space. So
-
before God does something new. You got to move the
-
old stuff out the way so he can do the new. Okay, okay,
-
I just got two most skips. He's saying, some stuff
-
got to go. Some folks you gotta disconnect from.
-
Some folks you're.
-
Gonna have to leave behind. Some folks you gonna have
-
to bid them bye bye. You were good for this season,
-
but in the next season that I'm going in, I
-
can't take you with me.
-
He saying.
-
Some some folks you're gonna have to disconnect from, and
-
you're gonna have to wipe them off your Facebook, and
-
you gonna have to take them off your Instagram, and
-
you're gonna have to take them off your Snapchat because
-
not everybody wants to see you bless. What can I
-
prophise that right there? Just as sure as I'm standing here,
-
you about to be blessed. So everybody who can't stand
-
it need to go heading. They need to lead. Now,
-
some folks got to leave. Some folks I haters. Some
-
folks don't want to see you bless, So go ahead,
-
get used to sub.
-
Folks, cause you can't handle the blessings of the Lord.
-
Now you're not gonna be able to handle what's coming next.
-
Can you shake hands with name? Shake that hand like
-
you're gonna shake it off, Say, oh yeah, I kinda nick.
-
Listen, let's listen. Listen.
-
I gotta get out of there. I want to be finished.
-
I want to be finished by by by by once.
-
I gotta be finished by one twenty. I gotta I
-
gotta be finished by one. So this is sit sit y'all.
-
Y'all back up, Sit, sit Sit y'are back up.
-
Sit sit. So God says, new strategies.
-
Yeah, greater visions, because I've spoken over your life, God says,
-
and greater works than these shall you do? I need
-
you to wave your hands over the neighbor's hands. Say
-
you about to do greater works. Tell that neighbor while
-
you're waving their hands. And God's upgrading you.
-
Folks have discounted you.
-
Folks have looked over you. Folk have not recognized your permisial.
-
The people around you don't even know who you are.
-
They don't understand your identity because God says I'd had
-
your head.
-
Some folks won't recognize you because that I don't understand
-
how God works.
-
Some folks don't know who you are.
-
But God said, that's getting ready to be revealing of
-
who you are.
-
On your job, in your house, in your community, in
-
your schirce, in your family, God said.
-
I'm getting ready to reveal to them.
-
This is the one that I'm annoyed denser for what's
-
coming next.
-
This is the one that I picked out.
-
This is the one that I've soul said, he this
-
is the one I've sanctified.
-
This is the one I've annoyed it. I'm finishing when
-
I'm come to make an announcement that there's a greater
-
calling over your life. And while you have chosen to settle,
-
while you have.
-
Become comfortable, God sends me, I got about.
-
Fifteen more pages I ain't gonna get to. God sends
-
me to tell you don't get comfortable where you are.
-
I hear the Holy Ago saying you're not even in
-
the right tax record. Somebody gonna catch it when they
-
get hold. I hear the Holy Ago saying they really
-
owe you back pay. But I hear the Lord saying,
-
don't you fight the battle, Let me fight it. I
-
hear the Lord saying, unexpected checks.
-
Now I don't know who you are. I hear the
-
Lord saying, for the next fourteen days.
-
Every day you go go to your mailbox, and before
-
you open it, don't expect fields, but just go to
-
dance and.
-
Right in front of it, and watch me what come
-
never come.
-
I hear the Lord saying, they offenchards you, and they
-
get Betty to find the mistake, and they don't call
-
you to say we all you.
-
I hear the Lord saying, watch.
-
Me prove to you.
-
So this man, as I close, this man was right
-
on the edge of this blessing. Nobody ever came along.
-
And pushed them.
-
Into his destiny. They watched him lay here.
-
In the same spot, close enough to get it, but
-
not close enough to believe God for it.
-
For thirty eight and the Texas Pacific long years. He
-
was that close but could not get it.
-
His friends loved him enough to place him close, but
-
they got caught up in.
-
What was supposed to happen. How do you know what
-
is in the text and closing.
-
Jesus Season, Julia Risel, I love, I love, I love.
-
The scripture because it says Jesus is afar off.
-
But just tap somebody quietly. You don't have to get
-
excited to say this. Just tap somebody on the shoulder.
-
Say, but he sees you.
-
Oh no you no, no, no, no, no no no no.
-
You didn't say you didn't You didn't say it like
-
I said that. You didn't you you say he sees you.
-
That's not what I said. I need you to tap
-
the lady. And saying he sees you make it personal.
-
I need you. I need you to.
-
Understand because because Isaac, I ain't got I ain't got
-
enough time to lay lay everybody out there are five porches. Yeah,
-
all of us need God mm hm.
-
But he sees you halted, whither hopeless. He could have
-
blessed anybody, but he sees.
-
You.
-
Comes to the man will.
-
Now.
-
And I told y'all when I when I when I
-
when I preached and teach this text, said Sabrina. My
-
text would have had a whole different spend because when
-
Jesus comes and asks me, wildt I be?
-
I was? I was?
-
I was?
-
I was, say Jesus, now, no, you ain't crazy. But
-
I've been like this.
-
For thirty eight how dare you ask me? But it
-
is called a rhetorical question because what he is saying
-
is your next possibility lies within you. What he was
-
saying to him is you have the answer to what's
-
going to happen next. He's saying to you, your decision
-
is going to determine how fast you get it.
-
Your response is going to determine how quick I do it.
-
Now, let me digress. This is not in my text,
-
but I just heard the Holy Gooes. He's downloaded.
-
I just heard the Holy gost say. Now, you can't
-
be arrogant, you can't be funny, you can't be crazy. Mmh.
-
You can't get caught up on what every I'm I'm
-
I'm I'm mister Robinson, I'm getting read miss him.
-
You can't be caught up on what everybody else thinks.
-
H
