You're listening to a message to go from X church. We hope this message
-
will light up your dea. Turn with me to John chapter six. Okay.
-
It's a very familiar passage, okay, but I feel this is quite
-
quite important to cover. Okay. From I'm going to read here from verse
-
one to verse fourteen, and it's a very familiar passage. It's about feeding
-
the five thousand. So I'm going to read through first. Then I'm going
-
to cover a few important points. Okay. So from verse one, chapter
-
six, verse one, feeding the five thousand another and after these things,
-
Jesus went over to the sea of Galilee, which is the sea of Tiberius.
-
Then a great multitude followed him because they saw his signs, which he
-
performed on those who were diseased. And Jesus went up on the mountain,
-
and there he said with his disciples, Okay, so many people follow him
-
because it's healed many people. Now in verse fall is say, is now
-
the passover? Okay, one of the most important fastibals for the Jewish community.
-
Okay, a feast of the Jews was near. Okay, So now
-
what it means is that during that time there will be a lot of people,
-
talking about millions of people who will cross from different suburbs or different villages
-
and smaller towns to come into Jerusalem. Okay, And so there will be
-
many people, and you stay say in verse five. Then Jesus lifted up
-
his eyes, and, seeing a great multitude coming towards him, he said
-
to Philip, where shall we buy bread that these may eat? But this
-
he said to test Philip, for he knew, for he himself knew what
-
he would do. In verse seven, Philip answered him, two hundred the
-
nari worth of bread is not sufficient for them, that every one of them
-
may have, a little, okay. One the nari is basically a one
-
day's which okay, So two hundred the nari is two hundred. It's like,
-
you know, even if you take one two thirds of your income,
-
you're not going to be able to feed every one of them. Okay.
-
And one of his disciples, Andrew Simon Peter's brothers, said to him,
-
there is a lad here who has five bali loaves two small fish. But
-
what are they amongst so many? Then Jesus said, make the people sit
-
down. Now there was much grass in the place, So the men sat
-
down a number of five thousand, okay, men when they count the most
-
in the ancient times, when they county, count only men, So women
-
and children are not included. So if you include them, you average it
-
out. It could be ten, fifteen, twenty thousand. And when people
-
a children, they have many children one, not just one. Not here
-
there are many children men. Okay, So you're talking about anyway at least
-
ten thousand to fifteen thousand, okay. And then Jesus took the loaves,
-
and when he had given things, he distributed them to the disciples, and
-
the disciples to those sitting down, and likewise off the fish as much as
-
they wanted. So when they were all filled, he said to his disciples,
-
gather up the fragments that remain, so that nothing is lost. Therefore
-
they gather them up and fill twelve baskets with the fragments of the five body
-
loaves, which were left over by those who were eaten. Then those men,
-
when they had seen the side the sign that Jesus did, said,
-
this is truly the prophet who is to come into the world. Hey man,
-
all right, So you know when you read this passage, you know
-
it's quite a familiar passage. Now I appreciate it quite a few times.
-
Ready, and I want to sink this with what we are the theme for
-
this month as well, and there is missions. Okay, how many of
-
you have been to missions? Hands up? Don't be shy, hands up?
-
All right? Okay. I always encourage people, everyone, every believer
-
to go for missions. Okay, you should go, your children should go,
-
You yourself should go, your family should go, individually, collectively,
-
whatever means you have, you should go. In fact, actually I will
-
say that there's only one full time job in this world. The only full
-
time job in this world is We've got Everything else is part time. There
-
was one of the things that I've now someone told me, you know,
-
there's only one full time jo. I was thinking, like I was just
-
coming up. I was just coming up from UNI. Then it's like,
-
oh, what job should I take? And he reminded me there's only one
-
full time job. It's with the Lord. Theres is part time. Everything
-
was would change and that means well into your retirement. You know, when
-
you're old, how do you imagine when you are seventy years old, eighty
-
years old, ninety years old, how many grandchildren you want to have?
-
How many retirement fans do you want to have? How many times you want
-
to circle the world and have in all your how many cruisers you want in
-
order to enjoy your retirement? What do you want to spend your life with?
-
And sometimes I observe where there's my parents or other older people or other
-
most in the people, you know, I see things I like, and
-
I see things that I also am were cautious about. I mean, it's
-
good to retire, but I don't want to see my life just sitting in
-
front of a TV, you know, and you know, waiting for the
-
days to be numbered. Okay, personally, that's that's that's my own personal
-
conviction. I want to be useful. You know, there's nothing that there's
-
nothing more depressing than being not useful. You get me in right. I
-
want to be useful. I want to teach until I'm like ninety, until
-
I can't teach ready, I still like do whatever I can. You get
-
me in right, you still be that? That is how I always.
-
I want to give advice until while until I can't ready until I expire.
-
You get me in right, issue, And I tell you, as you
-
know, even when we have parents, right, I tell you. You
-
just what you as children, you want to see what your parents do is
-
in it. There's nothing more inspiring, more fulfilling than to see your parents
-
still going on in life, contributing and giving and that because you as a
-
child, right, it gives you perspective about what life should be about instead
-
of you know, just like chilling and or stuff like that. I have
-
parents who go for retirement as well, but I can tell you that it's
-
not exactly how I envision my life to be. I want to continue serving,
-
not because or I'm talented anything, No, it's just you have to
-
have purpose in life. That's only the reason why we are here. We
-
must have a purpose in life. You get me in right, And one
-
of the best things we can give to our children is to give them purpose,
-
not for now, not for just their school, but for the rest
-
of their lives. You get me in right, So then they will so
-
then they will not give up. So then they will not you know,
-
back down and being discouraged, because there will always be a purpose for them.
-
Okay. And when we talk about missions, you know, and I
-
really believe that it's not just about as good as far as you can.
-
You know, you know I'm going to today and I'm going to share a
-
bit about what you know in my personal opinion on what mission is and how
-
we should have the heart of mission, and how Jesus went about doing mission
-
through this miracle as well. Now it's very important to observe here how did
-
the miracle happen? Okay, I've explained a lot of the settings before.
-
Okay, a lot of people just see that, Hey, this story is
-
about the filos and the twoth flesh. Yes, but I will say that
-
there is more. Okay, and this is very useful for anyone of you
-
in your life, whether in this stage right now you are asking, I
-
really don't know what it's God's plan for my life. You know, I
-
have this dream and this thing that I want to set up. Maybe I
-
want to serve the lot in this way. Maybe I want to move to
-
this. Maybe I want to start a church. Maybe I want to start
-
a business. Maybe I want to start something. But how do I know
-
that this is the will of God? How do I know that you know
-
this is something that He will bless? How do I know that I need
-
to wait? How do I know that He do things that I do are
-
good? And pleasing for his life as well. How many of you know
-
what I'm talking about here, You're all struggling it, we needs in it.
-
And I feel that this is something that I personally went through and can
-
share some of my experience with that. And in your own life as well.
-
You should pray, read through the scriptures, and then you come into
-
and a clear understanding of what God wants in your life as well. So
-
the first thing we know, there is a problem, okay. The problem
-
is that there are ten to fifteen thousand people. They are hungry children,
-
they are hungry and people who have hurt that you can do miracles supposed to
-
feed them. Now when Jesus. One of the first thing that you noticed
-
that is that Jesus testates his disciple as Philip. Okay, ask Philip to
-
go about and pick okay, knowing that they will never find something that would
-
be immediately ten to fifteen thousand, and Philip, look at this money,
-
you know, two thirds of an earning of an annual income. Couldn't do
-
it, okay, But then you know, then someone answered that, hey,
-
we have filos and two fish. Now I believe that this is a
-
very important teaching about missions. Okay, A lot of times when God calls
-
to us to missions, you will see five thousand and ten thousand and fifteen
-
thousand. But he calls you not because you have the resources or the capacity
-
to reach ten fifteen. He calls you as you have right now. It's
-
very simple one, okay, because the miracle is not with the bread.
-
The miracle is in the hand who is okay, So all of us like
-
the philips, you get me in right. So a lot of us we
-
fail because we look at our annual income first, true or not we got
-
a mission. We look at our annual income fast before we look at them.
-
You know, what else do we have? You know? We look
-
at you know, my income. God Jesus could have done a bit more
-
with the income than the bread. The bread is even lesser God looks at
-
you know. But there's a very important lesson. You may have five thous
-
two fish, but that is exactly where God will pick even though that is
-
where you are. God or God will pick you and he will put a
-
dream. Okay, so the dream and your reality. A lot of times
-
there will be a gap. Not always a case, I can't speak for
-
a situation, but a lot of times you will find that the dream or
-
the calling will have a gap with a reality. Okay. What that means
-
is that doesn't mean that you cannot see how that gap closed. Doesn't mean
-
that it's not God's calling. God is faithful with his promise, Okay,
-
And I will later on I will share a bit about calling with you guys,
-
and then I'll share some examples with you guys and how you should respond
-
to them as well. So that's the first thing. There's a gap.
-
But God calls you wherever you are. Now I want to ask you.
-
So when Jesus chose the bread and the fire, those of bread and two
-
fish, when did the miracle happen? He chose them, and then when
-
Philip brought them, it just multiplied, suddenly appear everybody's plate. Okay,
-
so we got read them right now, No, isn't it. So what
-
did Jesus do? He set them in fifties? Okay, So then fifties
-
took the bread, he blessed them, he broke it, and he gave
-
his name. Now I think I appreciate this before in all the sequence,
-
it's a very very important. So there's a few sequences here. So the
-
first part is about choosing, blessing, breaking, and the giving. Okay,
-
I'm gonna repeat again. There's the choosing, there is the blessing,
-
there is the breaking, and there is the giving. So I talked about
-
the choosing already again. God choose based on the resources of where you are
-
right now, not based on the future blessing, the or the or the
-
calling that you will be. He chose it the second thing that he gave
-
thanks. He looked to the heavens and he gave thanks. Okay, for
-
God has provided and he it's a simple heart acknowledging that God is in control.
-
Then God is sovereign. God appoints, God provides, God strengthens,
-
and God calls and God leads. Okay, this is something you and I
-
will all have to understand. Okay, when you receive a call, you
-
just don't go sympthy, running and do. But first of all, you
-
have to first of all acknowledge and honor God first. But did the miracle
-
happen when he prayed? No, the miracle happened when during when? When?
-
When the bread was broken? And it is a very important thing I
-
want to share with you guys as well. You may be called Okay,
-
you may be blessed, but unless you are broken, the miracle will not
-
happen. Okay, you may be chosen, you might be blessed, unless
-
you are broken, the miracle will not happened. Look at Jesus. Was
-
Jesus to chosen one's he blessed? When he became out of the baptism,
-
doh came, this is my son whom I am well pleased, blessed enough.
-
But when did the miracle happen when it's the most important miracle that Jesus
-
have given to us happen When he died on the cross. He gave me
-
in right, and he died on the cross. Everything leads to the brokenness,
-
to his broken body. The resurrection came of his broken body as well.
-
There must be a brokenness that happens the miracle, the bread and the
-
fish multiplied because something was broken. Now, I'm not saying that this is
-
wow for sure, the only way, but a lot of times people said
-
that I don't know what's God's calling for my life. And normally I will
-
tell people is that you know how God spoke to me, is that you
-
know when you look back in your life, you take start to take stock
-
first ten years, okay, or maybe for seven years, then the next
-
seven years and the next seven years in each stage of your life, what
-
was the thing? What were the things that broke your heart the most?
-
And those are a very good indication where God is touching you. What are
-
the things that break your heart? And the things that break your heart.
-
It's a very strong indication where God is putting his finger in there. There
-
there is way it hurts when God shows you things that break your heart.
-
God's opening a doorway for you to look into his heart as well. What
-
breaks his heart? And see how I'm saying it's always God. It Bible
-
says that God is close to those who are broken hearted, isn't it?
-
The things that are broken, splintered and shattered, these are the things that
-
God will not despise, God will not neglect. But God is close to
-
them. And when you see things that are broken, you realize what God
-
is near. God is very near when you go to missions. Right,
-
it's not about hey, planting building a bridge, you know, it's not.
-
It's not about what. It's about what getting close to the brokenness of
-
God? Yeah? Men, right? What God? No broken body was
-
given for to lives to people who don't have much. You know what I
-
mean, right, people, people who really need the Gospel more than anything
-
else. When you see things in your life, when you when you go
-
through your past, no stay stages in your life, let me ask you
-
this question, then, what breaks your heart? Don't tell me whether it's
-
a good business plan. Don't tell me whether this pastor was there. Don't
-
tell me you see potential. It's not about that. If you want to
-
see whether this is truly God, this is something a very strong indication where
-
God is leading. You tell me what breaks your heart? You get me
-
in right you go. You know why because when you go there when things
-
are not successful, when the fans don't come in, when you dub your
-
calling, when there's no support, you will still serve because why because it
-
breaks your heart true or not. As parents, you continue to being there
-
with your child. You know why, because you see your child's broken heart,
-
you will go near. These are the things the true force that draws
-
us continually faithful. Are the things that breaks our hearts. It is our
-
is our brokenness that draws God to hear you. Now, He didn't come
-
in just to improve us enough. It comes because humanity is broken. Mission
-
is about going to the broken. Get I mean right. If you go
-
to missions not understanding and understanding fully, that is that your heart is broken
-
for it. You will go on your own strength, out of your own
-
flesh, out of your own piety. You have some sense of moral righteousness
-
and self righteousness. You're trying to go to missions, and you will struggle
-
very hard to find meaning and purpose when things go hard and tough. Before
-
you do this, ask yourself, what breaks your heart? Get me in
-
right? You need that pivot to always go back in because tell your missions
-
is heard, missions heart. You want to start a new business, you
-
want to touch someone's life. What breaks your heart? You get me in
-
right. Some people are touched because of children they see. They just breaks
-
It breaks their heart to see little ones who have no parents, you know,
-
who have no one to look to, no one to provide, no
-
one to guide. They see children who are lost and aimless and being used
-
and manipulated into gangsters, into drugs, into prostitution. You know that there's
-
other things. They go and do it again, okay, even when they
-
are not appreciated. There are things that break you out. How many of
-
you have seen these latest remember this title by Jim Corviso. It's about human
-
trafficking one. I mean, no one talking about it's a famous show.
-
They just came out a few weeks ago, The Sound of Freedom. Yes,
-
okay, I think they're going to show in Malaysia. But you know
-
it's called the Sound of Freedom. Many of you heard her they show before,
-
the Sound of Freedom. Okay, I've not I've not watched it there,
-
but I've heard very good things about it. It's very scary and I
-
know that it's true. It's about human trafficking. I was in Cambodia doing
-
missions once before. It's very sad. A lot of Cambodians are very poor,
-
and even sometimes the Vietnamese and the Meamaris are very poor as well.
-
So what they do is that allot of them stay at the villages and once
-
a while, you know that the one day they'll tell me this news.
-
You know, the dead or the mom or the family will bring the daughter
-
into the city. You'll bring them to an apartment and said that all we're
-
here to audition you for a job and stuff like that. They're going to
-
this room and they said you wait here, someone will come along, and
-
then when they left the room, another person would come in. They will
-
measure them, talk to them and stuff like that for a while. And
-
then after a while they realized that no, the mom and dead left ready
-
and just realized that they had been sold already. And this is I heard
-
this labout ten years ago, and now they're talking about it in a sound
-
freedom. It's very sad to know that you have been abandoned and sold like,
-
you know, for ten thousand years dollars, and then they hold to
-
that. It's heartbreaking, you know, the things like this that you do.
-
And then when I went there, I was working with Terrence and Deborah,
-
and then they took me to this school. This school used to be
-
a prostitution center. And when I went to the school, I didn't realize
-
it was protititioning in the centers like classrooms, you know. But then they
-
say these classrooms were made because they broke down the walls between you know,
-
all these small chambers. These small chambers was very small, maybe the size
-
of three chairs like that, you know, the white the whip three chairs
-
maybe fall a bad small with a beat, and they should be prostitution centers.
-
And then they will break down the walls and turn into a classroom.
-
And so when I went there, there was like, oh, the ladies
-
they rescued from all these hotel operations along the way, so they saved a
-
few. And then these ladies who were safe will also in turn volunteered to
-
do a rescue work to save them from the villages as well. So the
-
ladies the girls would bring the girls to bring the girls as well, about
-
a few hundreds of them, and then they started this missionary school to do
-
that as well. So you see, these are things that you know,
-
there are many needs in as well. You might think that human trafficking happens
-
in their human trafficking. Human trafficking happens in Malaysia before. I've had a
-
very close call with someone who tried to do non since when my children before
-
I was One time was in a book. We were having a I think,
-
I think, you know, it's like a bizarre or a fair there
-
walking around and then suddenly realized that my daughter was just standing. Someone came
-
out to my daughter and you know, try to hold my hand my daughter.
-
Then I quick my wife and I quickly reacted and realize, oh,
-
I'm just trying to take picture with your daughter, so you know, without
-
asking you why they were hold and my daughter was much younger, it's probably
-
about five years old like that. So they try to do things like that.
-
You know, my daughter, they really gave me a waking call,
-
wake up call about you know, about this human trafficking. It happens.
-
You don't realize that they don't report it much as well. So it's very
-
scary, very heartbreaking to see the start of things, like I said,
-
things that break your heart. And sometimes when you do missions, you might
-
not be appreciate it. Sometimes not many people will give the money to you.
-
Sometimes you call for help, people too stretch out were able to help
-
your help. You feel like a small voice in a drown you know,
-
drowning sea. You know, but you still do it. Mother Terrista is
-
still helping. She doesn't see like how old she would be. She just
-
treats one wound at the time about Jesus able to be there at that moment
-
when she's dressing that wound, she believed that Jesus was there. So the
-
things that break your heart are the things you need, that brokenness, because
-
it is that brokenness that will sustain you. Even until now when we look
-
into the cross, even as we partake communion, we remember the brokenness of
-
Jesus's broken body that was for us as well. And so I hope when
-
I share about brokenness that you and I you know some of you. When
-
you make your decisions, when you think about longevity, when you think about
-
purpose and calling, you will considered and remember what breaks your heart and you
-
never deviated from it. God has pointed something or that really broke your heart.
-
I tell you those things that you don't forget. One and you realize
-
that you don't forget these things. One God continue will use that. God
-
will pinch your heart and you will. He will make it so sensitive you
-
will remember it for the rest of your life, and people around you will
-
know about that as well. Remember, God wants to use that. Okay,
-
maybe you yourself have become a victim before. I don't know what it
-
is. I don't want to speculate, but whatever it is that you've been
-
through, God wants to use that because that is where miracles happen. No,
-
not because of what, not because of the filos and two fish,
-
but in his hand, brokenness can achieve miracles. Brokenness can save lives.
-
Amen. That's one of the things I want to share with you guys constining
-
about missions. So he was chosen, he was blessed, he was broken,
-
and then he was given. We need to share, we need to
-
continue spread, we need to disperse, We need to what do you call
-
it, distribute this message of his brokenness to all the rest of the world.
-
They were like people who were you know, I talked about ten fifteen
-
thousand peoples in it. It looks daunting, it looks like this is not
-
I tell you, I can tell you that what the disciples were thinking.
-
Jesus, we were following you. We were in this happy you know circle.
-
You know, suddenly our business became twelve people into fifteen thousand people.
-
Nobody wants that one fifteen thousand people who are hungry, you know people now
-
they are very demanding one. You know, there fiating thousand people, you
-
know, and when you go into missions, it's like that you get to
-
be responsible, saday called and responsible for things that it is really beyond your
-
reach. And now if your control you don't like it to fit hungry,
-
demanding people. It's not easy and you don't know how as well. And
-
you don't know because it's and it's very difficult, you know why. Suddenly
-
you can't take care of yoursel off year's name. Suddenly when you look at
-
what does it mean? Ten? Fifteen thousand means you're all Your plan is
-
gone and on your own personal plan is completely gone. You know, you
-
want to play football gone ready? You want to call the college the one
-
probably would be jeopardy. You want to have retirement gone? Ready? Everything
-
is gone. Suddenly my life is taken over by fifteen thousand people. Suddenly
-
my life is taken by calling by remission. You know how I'm saying here,
-
it's very difficult to digest that. Okay, but what did Jesus do?
-
Jesus a race smart? It was? How do you call it?
-
A premission's training for his disciple? I would call it? Okay. He
-
set them in fifties, isn't it. He didn't say, Hey, you
-
go to random people and you just hey, you know whoever can catch you
-
throw? There's something though? Here, here you catch it, Here,
-
you catch it. He set them in fifties and then he broke it.
-
He put a basket there, and then he gave it to a disciples twelve
-
baskets okay, and I share you and I share this many times with you
-
guys before you know. So how and the reason why he did it was
-
very very purposeful. Okay, he said, like, maybe Raphail, I'll
-
get you to stand out and volunteer. Okay, can you stand up for
-
Okay? You come to me, pretend I'm Jesus and you are Philip.
-
Okay, So I'll give you one basket okay, and then you feed the
-
people. And so you go to them and you start, you know,
-
pretending you are feeding them, you know, passing them the rations. And
-
then after that you give out all this family is so much one and then
-
your empty basket done? Ready? Then how about what would you guys start
-
saying? Correct? Isn't it? Where's mine? Where's mine? Where's mine?
-
About? How will you feel that first row to roe for? And
-
then you look at behind her there are like fifteen thousand people still not your
-
fat, isn't it? How would you feel to discourage? Isn't it?
-
That's you? Knows, Raphail, I know what he's doing. You know,
-
tween so small, feeding one basket at a time with a mission feels
-
so big. Doesn't make sense? Isn't it. But this is not according
-
to what you want. This is according to Jesus's plan. You know,
-
Jesus ask him to do it. So you empty basket? Really, so
-
how do you feel ja You feel nervous, inadequate, You feel like you're
-
gonna get stolen. You know you're gonna I mean, you feel bad for
-
them, You feel bad for yourself as well asn't there? So why are
-
your options? So the only option you have is to come back, isn't
-
there? That's the thing is You've got no option. But you're like Jesus,
-
do you have more? Correct on? It forces you that the way
-
that Jesus does it what it is intentional, so that he got no option
-
but to come back to Jesus. So you have to come back with the
-
same basket. Then you have to ask it and Jesus do you have?
-
Yes, I have, give you another basket and you do again. Then
-
you finish already a lot again, isn't there? Then what do you do?
-
You come back again and you ask one time, five times, ten
-
times, thirty fifty, one hundred, one hundred, twenty times, five
-
hundred times. You keep doing and doing. By the time you reach five
-
hundred do you still feel the same way? Why? Yes? I mean
-
the has the people change? Has the peep number of people change? Has
-
the you know, the hungryness and now changed same hungry people, isn't it?
-
But why has changed your faith? Thank you so much? You've passed
-
the test already. Life is like this, isn't it? We keep depending
-
on God. You're depending on God. It's not coincidence. Now, it
-
doesn't mean you're a weak enough. You're a weak in a way, but
-
you're not at the wrong place. You're not on the wrong path, You're
-
not on the wrong process. You're weak by you're strong in this way.
-
But it's not nothing to be weak and lost. No, you're not lost
-
by you're a weak by. You're found has has found you When you keep
-
doing it the same thing again and again. Sometimes you're like, I don't
-
understand it. But my confidence builds. My faith builds, not in the
-
basket that I have, but in the one who provides a man, isn't
-
it? And they can only happen, not in the beginning, but when
-
you have faith to continue to do it again and again and again and again
-
and again. Give me Jesus will not tell you, Hey, it will
-
be all the fact, No, you just believe you keep doing it again
-
and again and again and again. That's how missions are done. That's how
-
your brokenness in your life, what is broken, is that you will be
-
able to touch the brokenness in the world you're going in, right, It's
-
always been that case, and Jesus intended it to be that way, you
-
know, put in a way he kind of like puts a blind fold into
-
you that you can't see it. He forces you to do one thing,
-
to turn to him and just just because you know, how does that trying
-
to state into your life? Just because in your present situation you feel there's
-
something you know and there's a brokenness. There's a very strong calling for you
-
to do something, to step out, but yet you can't see it happen.
-
But I've got a commitment and this and that commitments are real. It
-
just means that there are people who are dependent on you. I agree with
-
that, But do not stop there. I ask that now. Did you
-
pray? Did you seek? Did you wrestle with God? Someone will just
-
say no, you won't even come to Jesus enough. You just bustcar.
-
I'm done with this, No way, you just drop and walk off already.
-
Most people are like that because they just don't see it. So I'm
-
asking, why don't you turn to Jesus and do something out of faith?
-
And from that faith you sit And then when you do it out of faith
-
and you see what is God trying to teach you? Again and again?
-
So some letters are it's not meant to be learned from preaching here one or
-
not. Some that a learner three four, five years in your life.
-
When you are faithful, you understand what I'm saying. That's why people are.
-
Sometimes people learn a lot more by just by being faithful, really than
-
by jumping church to church to church to church. One. You know,
-
you realize that you keep trying to change ministers are but you don't learn,
-
you know, because it's men not been learned by different persons. It's meant
-
by staying faithful. Philip or Peter or Andrew, whichever, They're not going
-
to learn that by changing their master's one or not. They will only learn
-
the true lessons. They can only be learned by staying faithful. It's very
-
hard to tell young people now they're dead, you know. Actually, I
-
want to talk about in all that the things that you know when we talk
-
about missions right in the Bible, that you know it's contrary to the world,
-
contrary to what I called the Disney effect. How many of you know
-
what? It's a Disney effect? You know what's thest How many feel like
-
Disney? I'm going to break bubble man, that's kidd Okay, you know
-
that. You know I say this because I'm a parent as well, and
-
I see this very very very clearly. You know what's the theme about that?
-
Most movies are are trying to tell you from the very beginning, from
-
the nineteen fifties and nineteen sixties, from the sound of music. How may
-
I watched the sound of music? How many of you love the sound of
-
music? I mean I watched quite a few as well. I watch a
-
lot of musicals. When I bec those are the only tapes I have you
-
at how I watch? You know es are alive? Okay, I'm not,
-
I'm I'm I know I'm destroying this music. Okay, I know?
-
But you know what's the theme? You see? The theme is you gotta
-
get out of your zone to find something that is destined for you outside true
-
not It's always the theme your family, your school, your country, your
-
skin, your mentality, whatever it is, it's constraining you. You've got
-
a breakout of there to find your destiny for this. What what? What's
-
the lady? That lady? What's her name? Ready, God bless us?
-
So what's her name? That lady? That? No, the main
-
lady, the one on the mountain there not spinning a weed? Yeah,
-
I can't remember. What's an She's not elsa? Outside is another version?
-
Okay. Anyway, not many popping is definitely not many poppingist. Okay,
-
don't you there no skating? Don't you there? Don't anyways, you know,
-
and you think pastor, but what's wrong with that? Okay? I
-
tell you that it is not wrong, but it's deceptive. Okay, there's
-
difference between being directly wrong and being deceptive. Okay, let me tell you.
-
So this is the story to tell that you've got to find it outside.
-
You look at Frozen, you look at Moana, you look at a
-
Laddin, you look at and a lot of movies outside as well. Okay,
-
it's all about you gotta and it's very powerful and I agree with it.
-
Actually a lot of movies I love. You've got to breakthrough racial barriers
-
you've got to breakthrough. You know, you're in a tradition. You've got
-
to break through so that you know you are able to reach a reach and
-
achieve things outside as well. And these are good things, okay, overcome
-
thinking outside the barrier thinking, you know, trying to achieve outside is good.
-
To overcome your skin color, to overcome things they are not right,
-
wrong, traditions and stuff like this are very good to think beyond. But
-
the moment they take the same stick and they use it and hijack it for
-
something else, to bend truth on biology, on family values, on God.
-
That is when something that is useful becomes abused. Look at Internet,
-
great stuff, isn't it? Information dissemination, email, connecting to the world.
-
Someone in the missions can get the latest price and then so they don't
-
have to go through intermediate intermediary, the paper can send money quickly, useful,
-
educating people as well. Good, isn't it. There used to be
-
a joke, you know they said that, Hey, you know, long
-
time ago, you know, I think it was the book called The Hitchhiker's
-
guid to the Galaxy. I mean, if you read the book before,
-
I think I'm talking to a wrong generation here. Okay, He says that
-
now, I'll imagine a future where humans have unlimited technology in the palm of
-
your hand. What would they do with that? And the aliens said,
-
I think they will start taking pictures of cats. You're talking about, right,
-
It's kind of ironic, is name? When you were younger? Wow,
-
the knowledge of the world of the universe at the palm of my hand,
-
what would you do but take pictures of themselves? No, it's true.
-
That's why we humans have done it all when we last time, when
-
we are young, we thine like it's amount of things we can do.
-
But in our actual and what do we do? We don't use We don't
-
use it fully. Isn't it We abuse it? Or we waste it,
-
isn't it? It's kind of sad Like I said the same thing as well,
-
the same thing. That's the same mentality that Disney and the world.
-
They don't realize it, but they push for it because they feel like this
-
is the human way. We've got a stretch we're gonna because humans are so
-
full of desire to achieve, to reach to non gaming right, higher and
-
higher. We've always been wanting to build the Tower of babel for as a
-
society, as not as individually as a family. We don't want to climb
-
and achieve, achieve, achieved, so we break down every single barrier and
-
the world looks like that, Wow, it's good. And the devil at
-
the right time, he's aches it and he takes it out and put it
-
into something else, into your biology, into God, into family values and
-
everything. And you see that causing confusion throughout our generation. You don't even
-
know who you are right now. Some people say that I don't know how
-
to misgender you. How can I misgender you if you don't even know what
-
your gender you are? You know, it's very hard to all these things.
-
People are trying to wrop in between right now. They do that and
-
they do it with family family as well. If if someone can say that
-
you are no, I say that you don't know you're a guy or a
-
girl, why is to stop a person to say that, hey, I
-
am not your I want to come to you right now, and I don't
-
let you know that I'm your father. Since biology is not it's not it's
-
not the main criteria. Why is it to me come to you? Said
-
Nicholas, Hey, I'm your grandpa. So I'm a kay taker right now.
-
It doesn't depend on biology, it doesn't depend on certificate, It doesn't
-
depend on doctor. I can claim to be your grandfather because I feel like
-
it, and none of you can say anything about that. How die are
-
But if you say anything, you're offending me. You are denying my rights.
-
How someone can come to your daughter say hey, I'm your brother,
-
we can hang out together. Why is to stop that person? You see?
-
Get me right? But you say, but if you try to stop
-
me, you are trying to limit our human freedom. Same principle you are,
-
but taking it to abuse it. And this is what the Bible,
-
That's what the devil always does. One enough, It always takes what is
-
godly, what is good, and then use it for and he takes it
-
and hijacks it. Look at the temptation of Jesus. What did he tempt
-
Jesus with all the scriptures? You know? It doesn't tempt you with something
-
not from scripture? And why not always from scripture? And are turn this
-
stone into bread? You see when you you are not educated, if you're
-
not in the right mindor you would done it. You know, hey,
-
in order to save the world, I need to jump down and know the
-
angels will save me. At Jesus Christ done it now for the greater good
-
of men. It's about honoring God. No us, the girl right,
-
No people let knowledge. You see. So the devil will always use that
-
to twist and pervert the things that God have said before. And so because
-
of that, people, and then because of that you see future generation generation
-
and the future join. Now generations are seeing that happening. They are challenging.
-
They say that my family is always stopping me. Whatever my family is
-
teaching me is stopping me. I gotta come out of my family to find
-
something better, whatever the church is telling me. Church Higher. You have
-
this anti establishment thing already. I used to be very anti establishment. Let
-
me tell you I used to be. In fact, I used to be
-
offended very badly by a pastor when I was young before. Oh, now
-
i'm pastor. The ironic thing, isn't it to be offended by a part
-
of very badly? Oh? I will never be cont pastor again. I'll
-
never do that. I'll never serve and all this interesting They just want to
-
control me on it. You know what I learned nowadays, I don't care.
-
I only serve God. I only serve because my heart breaks because people
-
need God. Whether he's a pastor or not, he doesn't. I still
-
love the church. In fact, I might heart grows for the church.
-
I want people. I want us to be good leaders, but I want
-
the church members to love the church to understand that, Hey, as much
-
you know, we are all sinners and we are all fallible. We need
-
to come united instead of like condemning, is that you need to come in
-
to pray, to support, to love. You know, if it's the
-
same thing if I come to your family and I give counsel to your family
-
you have problems, whether husband or wife or children, do I come to
-
tell you a son and daughter you need to leave the house. I will
-
never tell you to do that. Who will do that? I will tell
-
you you got to reconcile with your parents, husbands, and why you got
-
to reconcile. That's the true spirit. Not just because you being offended you
-
tell you go and go to go to another family and you wreck them up.
-
You never do that. That's not right. That's about me, That's
-
not about God. That's wrong. You know what I'm saying. What I'm
-
saying here, So you must understand the deception. What the enemy is trying
-
to do so much to the world, to our children, to our families.
-
So that's why I always plead with people to to be, to see,
-
to be, to be very mature, to be very persevering. You
-
know, don't leave your family just because of that. Don't leave your friends
-
just because of an offense. A lot of things that God wants us to
-
do has to go through endurance and trial and tribulation. But when you when
-
the Disney thing is about, hey, when you meet an obstacle, if
-
something means that something out there is waiting for you, and you keep changing
-
and keep changing, keep changing, keep changing, can change you will never
-
find anything. You will never learn the value of being sticking onto something and
-
overcoming something. Yehm in right, and you continue to get lost. I
-
feel like frustrated. I keep trying to find something out there, but I
-
cannot find it. Maybe I need to change country. They have to.
-
Then I need to change family. I need to change my wife. I
-
need to change my husband. Ready true or not true or not? Tell
-
you no matter why you change, your family is to the same one and
-
all. But you've got to make the best out of it. It starts
-
with you instead of trying to force a person to change. That is why
-
I said that this need effect. It is not exactly really helpy. Not
-
all movies are like that, but they are missing the plot. You gem
-
in right, really missing the plot. Children. I know your parents and
-
your mum, and they are not perfect. I am far from perfect to
-
my children. But you gotta hang in there, man. You gotta love
-
parents. You know how many children are here. You're gonna love your parents.
-
You know, seriously, they're not perfect. Far for unprofit, I
-
can guarantee you. And you don't know how many times they beat themselves and
-
they pierce themselves, how much they fail you. It's true, you don't.
-
They punish themselves more than you punish them. But they still start with
-
you, They still stick with you. These are the values that serve us
-
well. Okay, my time is up here. Okay, I hope you
-
guys caught something. I'm talking about missions, but I'm talking about sticking to
-
the things that are true, that are important for us as well. When
-
God grant you the conviction, when God lead you and point you to where
-
your heartbreaks and where his heart breaks as well. So then you find his
-
calling so that you will not be lost. You will know not that what
-
just is good, what is acceptable, but you will know that which is
-
the perfect will of God. Amen. We hope you've been blessed by this
-
message. For more information on our church, please visit x church dot org.
