You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day. The message today I title it shoe. It'll
-
make a bit more sense later on. But if you want to be the
-
proper title kind, you just put the environments actually important. The environment where
-
you're in is important. But I used the word shoe go away. Uh.
-
So again forgive me. I'm a bit naughty sometimes when it comes to
-
titles. I'm gonna put titles if if you come to the one that is
-
service. My titles are all over the place. And but it'll make sense
-
after a while. And as I mentioned to you, we're going to a
-
series through the book of Daniel. So we've seen Daniel through the different kings,
-
different administrations. Uh and and and and of course this year we are
-
looking at the year of observing having rules right and and that's simply translated to
-
you know, God is still in control of everything. Uh. And that
-
is something that you haven't actually experienced for yourself yet. In twenty twenty three,
-
they're still one mon left. We pray that you have that experience.
-
But this will all make sense and tied to death as well. Okay,
-
so let me just jump straight into the word. Okayn. We read from
-
Mark chapter five. Some of the verses up there, I hope, yeah,
-
a bit tiny. I'm so sorry, but bear with me. Okay,
-
if you want to turn your Bibles to the verses is Mark chapter five
-
versus. We started with verse twenty one, and we're gonna it's a bit
-
of scripture, but I promise you'll be good. All right. So the
-
title of this particular section of the Bible, the title is a girl restored
-
to life and a woman he Okay, some of you may know this passage,
-
but bearing mass, I go through this and then we will come back.
-
Okay. Now, when Jesus has crossed over by boat to the other
-
side, a great multitude gathered to him. He was by the sea,
-
and behold the rulers of Synagogue came Gyros by name. So Gyrus is a
-
pastor of Chortzler. Okay, of that time, that's what the ruler of
-
synagogue is. And he saw him, and he fell to his feet and
-
begged him earnestly, saying, my little daughter lies at the point of death.
-
Translation. She's dying. Okay, just in case you're not aware she's
-
dying. Come and come, Jesus, come lay your hands on her,
-
that she may be healed and that she will live. So Jesus went with
-
him. A great multitude followed him and thronged him, basically surrounded him.
-
Now, now a certain woman had a flow of blood. Translation. She
-
was bleeding. Okay, not just any other bleeding, not once a month
-
bleeding. It is bleeding for twelve whole years, continuously, NonStop, every
-
single day. Okay. I don't know whether you can imagine this, but
-
it's probably not the most comfortable and probably not the most easiest to deal with.
-
And she has also suffered many things from many physicians. Means he's in
-
law doctors. She spent all her money and was no better, but rather
-
grew worse when she heard about Jesus. And were so amazed and so thankful
-
that Jesus was in the picture right, because we all know that Jesus when
-
he goes around, his spreads to good news to the world. And he
-
also came in in the human flesh, and he said, she came behind
-
him in the crowd and touched his garment. And then she said, if
-
I may touch his clothes, I shall be made well. Now, if
-
you look at this particular picture, right, there's so much faith in the
-
in in the story. But of course it's very easy to just, you
-
know, reduce this whole sermon to just's a faith sermon, or say faith
-
message. But bear with me, it's not just about faith. Faith is
-
important, but there's more than just the faith. Okay, but most people
-
will see the faith jump up. If only I may touch his clothes,
-
I may be made well. Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up,
-
and she felt in her body that she was healed of affliction or suffering.
-
And Jesus really, knowing in himself that the power has gone out from
-
him, turn around in the crowd and said, who touched my clothes?
-
Who touched me? And the disciples probably wondering, what do you mean?
-
Everybody's touching you. Everybody's thronging you, right, So what do you mean
-
by who touched you? Everybody touched you? But he felt a certain change
-
or a certain shift in power. Right, So he looked around her and
-
and to see what who has done this thing? But the woman was faring
-
in, fearing and trembling, knowing what has happened to her, came and
-
fell down before him and told him the whole truth. And he said to
-
her daughter, your faith hath made you well. Go in peace and be
-
healed of your affliction. Okay, so that's the miracle story over there.
-
Now, while he was speaking, some came from the rulers of the synagogue's
-
house, saying that your daughter is dead. This is the first story earlier.
-
Okay, urgent call, my daughter is not well, she's dying,
-
and now she's did okay, so one is the present time. She's dead
-
lack Okay, why trouble the teacher any further. Now, as soon as
-
Jesus heard the word was spoken, and some variations say that Jesus ignored them,
-
he said to the ruler of the synagogue, do not be afraid,
-
only believe. Don't be afraid, just believe. Isn't that amazing? This
-
is basically what extra is all about, right, helping people believe, And
-
this is what it's all about. And he permitted no one to follow him
-
except Peter James and John, the brother of James. Then he came to
-
the house of the ruler of the synagogue and saw a tumult or basically outroar.
-
Okay, and those who wept and wailed loudly, everybody crying like because
-
obviously there is a death over there. Right when he came in, he
-
said to them, why make this commotion, why all this noise? Why
-
weep? The child is not dead but sleeping at the point in time.
-
Guess what, everybody naturally ridiculous? What are you talking about? Were you
-
smoking? Right? So we will say it in laymans them, you know.
-
He he, but he he was very firm. He put them outside.
-
You can see the Bible, he says, put them outside. He
-
took the father and the mud of the child and who were with him,
-
and entered where the child was lying. Then he took the child by the
-
hand, and he said, the litter to me, which is translated to
-
little girl, I say to you, arise the darth way that kind of
-
a thing arose anyway. Immediately the girl arose and walked. She was twelve
-
years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement. But he recommanded
-
them strictly that no one should know it, and said something should she be
-
given to eat, or in simple translate, do not stand there, get
-
her big mac because she's really hungry. She's been sleeping for quite some time.
-
Okay, yeah, okay, so I know a lot of scripture.
-
I know a lot of scripture, but I hope you survived that that's probably
-
the biggest bulk of the scriptures. But I wanted to also go to the
-
entire thing so that you can understand the picture and the context and in the
-
particular chapter. Right, the two stories although different, but they are put
-
together for a reason. Okay. I don't know whether anybody has noticed that,
-
but yeah, So initially, when I was putting a sermon title together,
-
I was telling you I'm very bad titles. So I was to say
-
things like a rise, you know, like a dart way they kind of
-
saw. But but it's not just that. It's not just about the faith
-
messages. I was telling you you'd be prettymature to jump straight into just looking
-
at it. And as I was reflecting upon these message this versus, I
-
realized there is more to that than just the faith story. Of course,
-
faith is important, but there's more to that. Okay, every okay,
-
so far, okay, so let's look at the context of the story.
-
Now, who was in the picture? Who else is in the picture?
-
That's the dad, right, the synagogue leader, the pastor. He's urgent,
-
He's like, come, come, come, come, my daughter is
-
dying. Right that that person, There is people in the crowd. There's
-
that woman. Right. There's also the people that said that a bodoka you
-
know, you know, like what's happening? You know, the girls did
-
so they are the people that ridiculed him. They laughed at him. In
-
fact, some versions says, but who are these people that laughed at Jesus?
-
Who do you think they are? Family? Friends members? Who do
-
you think they are? Okay? These are people that normally are what we
-
classify as doubters, people that are unbelieving, people that maybe faithless, argumentative
-
direct I don't know, but yeah, these are the ones that maybe perhaps
-
in other words, not so positive la right, I don't know that if
-
you've come across people like this in your lifetime. If you have not,
-
God bless you fantastic. But you know these are the same people sometimes right
-
when they walk out the room, right, the whole room lights up kind
-
of a thing, you know, I say, Right, they're not so
-
not so positive people. Okay, but there are people like that. I'm
-
quite sure you come across people like that where everything they see is always half
-
glass half I can never I cannot get it right. Half empty or half
-
full, but whichever way you want to look at it. LA, but
-
I think it's more half empty kind of people, right, yeah, so
-
they look at the negative, they focus on the negative. But those people
-
are the very problem in the situation, because you see, before Jesus did
-
the miracle, he actually had to literally take them out of the of the
-
of the picture. Okay, so again the focus is not just on the
-
miracle, but on as I mentioned earlier, then ironment. Okay, before
-
that could happen. Okay, okay, so far. So if you look
-
at verse forty again, now I've highlighted that in Sorry, I'm so sorry.
-
I forgot what I put up Verse forty. I think there's a slide
-
with worse forty. Uh, then I proode the slicer. Everything is yeah,
-
verse forty. Okay, is there one with a highlight. I think
-
there's one with a highlight of blue. If not, then I'm so sorry.
-
Can never mind. I've actually highlighted my version. They ridiculed him keyworder
-
number forty, the first part that they really killed him, and then he
-
had put them outside. Okay, so very clear cutter. They say something
-
that Jesus didn't like. Jesus took him. Sometimes we look at Jesus with
-
like, oh, he's a he's a very you know, teddy beag kind
-
of a god, right, you know, very loving he is. Don't
-
get me wrong, he is loving, but he can be quite gangt at
-
times as well. You know when the time when when when when the time
-
is required of him to be gangster. So he literally took them and threw
-
them out right, and you can say in that scripture he put them outside,
-
all outside. Okay, why because he knew that he had to physically
-
do this and remove them before uh, this miracle could happen. And again
-
it's not just people, okay, it could also be any negative thoughts helps
-
in your mind, or people that are messing with the atmosphere or the environment
-
for the miracle to happen, or preventing the miracle to happen. Okay.
-
So and that's why I titled the do message shoe cast it out, Get
-
it out before you know that thing can come to past because sometimes we always
-
say faith is what you need. Faith is what you need, but you
-
also need to set the environment right before that faith can take action. Okay,
-
and it makes sense after a while. Okay. Now, the power,
-
of course is in the miracle, but not just the miracle itself.
-
As I mentioned earlier, the atmosphere and the environment that surrounds that miracle is
-
also equally as important. Okay, Now let me just pray for I faking
-
this is an introduction again. Okay, let's pray. I say a long
-
prayer. No, no, no kidding, Father God, I just pray
-
Lord that you just come permit displaced Lord, Father mean your wisdom guide as
-
Father, as we look into your word today in Jesus, name me pray
-
amen Amen. Now yeah, So the background story is these two stories were
-
put together in a particular chapter, but they are actually very different, or
-
on the surface that at least it appears different. Okay. Why because one
-
is a rich person synagogue leader, and one is an unclean woman probably broke
-
by that time, because you know that the Bible says that she spends lots
-
of money to to to see physicians and all that. So they are different,
-
but at the same time they are same same I know, Okay,
-
I explained how they are. For those of you do not trust me,
-
I'm a I'm a I'm a researcher by trade, so I do tend to
-
do research a bit more So, if you don't got a paper written,
-
can you flash that paper? It's a it's a journal paper of sorts.
-
Yeah, so that's actually a paper written about how the two stories are connected.
-
I mean, someone's gonna very deep dive into it, published, et
-
cetera. So, uh, take if you don't take my word for it,
-
take the person's word for it that there is actually a lot of connections.
-
So on the surface, like I said, it's not connected, but
-
on in a deeper level it is. But how are they connected? Is
-
probably the question here, right, And the connection is really true? How
-
sometimes you know, life in general can really even out the playing field,
-
right? Uh? No matter what, right, if you're ill or if
-
you're unwell, whether you are you know well to do or not, you
-
still go to the same struggles and suffering. Remember the pandemic not too long
-
ago. Everybody was on the same page. Right, regardless of what you
-
drive, what you do, what you eat, we're all the same restrictions,
-
that is right. So that's what I meant by life. It's a
-
very interesting way of putting us or leveling out the playing field. Okay,
-
So let's look at how they are connected. Okay. Now, of course,
-
in our text we did say that this guy's is in a good leader,
-
a church pastor of sorts. The woman is an ordinary woman, and
-
of course, in that context in the women also in a lower scale in
-
terms of hierarchy back in those days. Okay, nowadays, we're not We're
-
not like that. I'm not trying to be sexist or whatever it is stating
-
the facts at that time. Okay. And then, of course there is
-
also the issue of blood. Uh. And then the two connected connected but
-
not now one of course, the very obvious one. One is a woman
-
and one is a man. Okay, they're different, okay. Uh.
-
Secondly, uh, one has a name we know, Gyrus. The other
-
person is unnamed woman. That shows how much different they are, Okay.
-
Uh. One was rich, one was poor or broke one one one also.
-
But the thing that tied them together, if you look very closely,
-
is that, as I mentioned to you, life came together level the playing
-
field. And one thing that is certain that is similar is that they were
-
both desperate. Okay, Why they desperate? God, That's what I meant
-
by saying life sort of level of the playing field. And what do desperate
-
people usually do desperate measures? Correct, they do exactly They behave exactly the
-
same way. Essentially, when you need help, you do you take desperate
-
measures whatever it takes to get it resolved. And sometimes we understand this,
-
and then we also say God allows certain things to happen to ensure that we
-
do not get detached from him. That's one, and then uh yealla,
-
we depending on him to a next tent. Okay, So when you're hit
-
by something you cannot handle, it's when you call out for God. In
-
this case, you know, one is unwell, unclean, and the other
-
person's daughters did so they're both equalis'sprate. They're both fighting for Jesus's attention.
-
Okay, all right, that's the desperation. They were both pushing people away.
-
If you look at the story right the crowd, they were pushing through
-
the crowd. Joison probably like, hey, Jesus, you know I got
-
my ticket first, I saw you first, I got a number. Hey,
-
why is this lady this lady cut cue or whatever you wanna call it,
-
And he was probably you know, going all out already halfway to the
-
house, and then he realized that Jesus wasn't behind me anymore. Okay,
-
they were both desperate. They pushed, they had to push to get through,
-
and the lady same things. Or they push true people to just touch
-
Jesus and that miracle happened. Okay, So why am I saying all this
-
is because you ever notice that when people are desperate, they would pray even
-
more like maybe like Daniel three times a day, maybe more than that,
-
even uh, they will worship with their hands lifted up even higher than usual
-
when they're desperate, right, desperation sometimes I sort of believe to say that
-
extent right, the pandemic was there to sort of remind us that we can
-
be complacent, He can be over complacent, and that of resets everything again
-
about how we need to really depend on God. Because people were in a
-
very uh uh you know, interesting season where people were very desperate, uh
-
for for human touch even godly touched as well. And and that that is
-
I mean, I believe that to an extent it was allowed to happen the
-
way it happened, so that there was that that recognition that the complacency shouldn't
-
be there because sometimes you know, everything is okay, and well we forget
-
that we need God. Right, So yeah, back to this. Are
-
you bought yet? Are you okay? Yeah? Sorry, Like I said,
-
my mind is all the place because I got another message in my head.
-
But now I but yeah, uh yeah, let's look through the details,
-
all right. So Gyrus obviously got to him first. He was desperate.
-
Uh. Earlier time there was a present and saying that she's not dead
-
yet, she's dying. Later on we read that she's dead. Okay.
-
The woman also desperate, right when Rue touched the the the the the the
-
the the clothes. Okay, Now, if you want to Hollywood, Hollywood
-
dies the whole thing, okay you can. You'll be like a new Netflix
-
series right where you see the things that is common between the two is also
-
the twelve years. Right. So at the end it was revealed that the
-
girl was twelve fish old, and if you remember the story from before,
-
this lady bled for cheldfish as well. So if you want to dramatize the
-
whole thing, they may be coming out from a hospital right. One scene
-
you know, will be a scene after the dad carrying the daughter. Oh,
-
you know, brings me memories of my first born, and you doting
-
on the on the little girl, and then in the background, out of
-
focus, right in the Hollywood movies, right then the girls like really the
-
doctor's report, Why God, why you know? And of course you know
-
that that medically, medically they were both in the same hospital, you know,
-
just to dramatize the whole thing, but they probably did not cross paths.
-
They were both and this is exactly what it is, right. Sometimes
-
we do not realize that we are often going through calamities or challenges and all
-
that we are very self centered, self focused on the problems that we're going
-
through, that we forget that sometimes even your neighbor next to you, seeing
-
next to you right now might be going through something that it may be similar,
-
but we are not, how they put it, not sensitive to it.
-
Okay, And this is exactly why he responded the way he responded,
-
because it's like, hey, my problem important was right, And this is
-
exactly what we are reminded of as well, that we cannot be too preoccupied
-
with just the things that we're going through that we sometimes even though when somebody
-
else receives a miracle and a promise that we do not rejoice with them as
-
well. Right, and that's the problem. It is a problem here.
-
So you can walk past people sometimes your office workers, your fellow peers in
-
your colleges, universities, in school, et cetera. They receive a blessing
-
and then you'll be like, huh, why not me the kind of thing.
-
You shouldn't be like that, right, it shouldn't be like that.
-
Okay. Now let me just remind you scripturally, Romans trailfa do have that.
-
Yeah, Romans traild Okay, So leve in action. The most important
-
part about it is in fifteen rejoice with those who rejoice, mon with those
-
who mo right. So this is a commandment, right that we are to
-
journey together. And that's why we do life together as a church as well,
-
because we are one. Happy times, sad times, you know,
-
we journey together. And that's why we always say that we need to have
-
a community. Now, let me just go into the deep dive a little
-
bit into the significance of the number twelve, because it's also no considents that
-
the number twelve is being utilized. If you can flash up one of the
-
yep, okay, so twelve, thanks twelve commandments. Okay. The twelve
-
Sons, which then represented the twelve tribes. Ishmael also had twelve princes okay,
-
twelve thousand, of course, coming from the tribes. After that.
-
Jesus the christ Bride is also in Revelation's twelve. The church that where's the
-
crown also contains twelve stars. The New Jerusalem contains twelve gets made of pearl.
-
Okay, So again you don't need a Bible degree to realize there is
-
some significance in here and there's no concidents. But if you do not like
-
the Old Testament stuff as well, there's also some Newer Testament stuff like like
-
you know, Jesus' twelve Disciples, et cetera, et cetera. Okay,
-
So I actually went through a book where I was in Melbourne. Again,
-
shot the book, next slide, I think, yeah, no, nice
-
sense, Sorry, did I have it there? It's called the Divine Code,
-
not the Divinsity Code. Now mine, if I maybe I send the
-
wrong slides, I'm so sorry. Okay, now mine, let's move on.
-
Yeah, but I also put up some other details up there about the
-
civic Syniicans of twelve. Uh, if you want to you can get a
-
copy of the slides. But needless to say, twelve is an important number,
-
not just in the Old Testament, but the New Testament as well.
-
Jesus when he started teaching, he was the age of twelve, and sometimes
-
I remind myself, I had to remind myself rather that my son is just
-
turned twelve this year. He can go and do things that you know he
-
should be doing at this age, but he's not a kid anymore. And
-
and there is that that that whole thing about Uh, you know, you
-
marvel at Jesus. This is an upper it's a upper primary, upper primary
-
school kid, right, amazing talking with the gurus of that time, you
-
know, with a lot of power, a lot of wisdom, a lot
-
of confidence. Sometimes you just brush off twelve feels that it never ever despise
-
the youth and what they can do. It's amazing, right, Yeah,
-
But just come back to this, Twelve actually signifies authority and power. Okay,
-
now in simple English again, just simply reminds us again that Heaven rules
-
love. Right, And why is this important? It's because he is saying,
-
or Jesus saying, that I don't care what you're going through. I
-
don't care what the situition is. If you understand the authority and the power,
-
there is nothing that cannot be solved. Okay, And sometimes we have
-
to bring ourselves to this because and that's why we pray in Jesus name as
-
well, not in Daniel's name, not in Raphael's name, right, because
-
there is power and authority in that name. So yeah, I have this
-
other slide next one, thank you. So the twelve not considents. It
-
actually signifies God's power and authority and almost the perfection of this whole you know,
-
governmental foundation. So why it is important because sometimes when you go through
-
things, you forget the authority, you forget his power. And I believe
-
in this story as well that the two of them, I wouldn't say they
-
don't have the same levels of faith or even higher levels of faith. It
-
is maybe the difference between the two is that the is the awareness of the
-
authority. The level of awareness of the authority between the two, maybe one
-
person has forgotten a little bit. Okay. Now, why is this important
-
is because how much recognition you have in God's authority will determine how much,
-
to a certain extent you will receive from Him as well or how much of
-
a miracle can happen. So if you have a larger or a more sensitive
-
awareness of it, basically get a lot more power in that particular miracle to
-
come. So sometimes we can behold the miracle by us not recognizing God's authority
-
or fully recognizes authority. You know, the song says mountains bowed down and
-
the seas will roll all right, that's the power, you know. And
-
if you link your faith with authority, your faith goes to the level.
-
Okay, I always liken this to a very simple fact that faith is like
-
an anchor. You troy it overboard, it does its job. But if
-
you forgot to anchor that anchor, that anchor with a rope, so sorry
-
my old place, that that rope is like the awareness of the authority,
-
then the anchor is not maximized because he will not do his job because you
-
just throw it all overboard and it's not actually linked to what is supposed to
-
be linked. So you need to link your faith to the authority, to
-
his authority rather, and then it will be another level. And that's why
-
I said earlier we shouldn't reduce that passage that earlier that it's just a matter
-
of faith, because we all know this, right, how much faith is
-
required for any miracle to happen, just as much I believe they have at
-
least this much. So the period was already there. But the awareness of
-
the authority is another thing that we need to work on. And as why
-
sometimes we say, right a Bible versesa. Faith is the substance of things
-
hoped for. It is the evidence of things not seeing he Brews eleven.
-
Without faith, it's impossible to please God he Brews eleven six. And and
-
you know, you need to understand that faith is like an anchor, right,
-
as I mentioned earlier, But you need connected because otherwise it will not
-
be fully maximized. But it's not a matter of faith, is a matter
-
of how much awareness. So whenever we just discount, oh, how come
-
you're not receiving a healing, is it because you're not you don't have faith?
-
May not be dead, you know, faith might be there because like
-
I said, to be enough with it siccret to Copordy right, my son
-
says he is malay hopeless and but secret is enough. But if you do
-
not have linked to the authority or his authority, then you're not maximizing it
-
love. Okay, so and and and again, not trying to be to
-
be little things that sometimes do not come to pass. But it may be
-
the awareness problem. Don't just say I got no faith, or he has
-
no he or she has no faith. It's not the object of It's not
-
the size of the faith. As we've discussed earlier. Right, I have
-
a slide next one, right, must it see its sufficient? But your
-
faith will struggle if you do not have or believe in His ultimate authority.
-
So it's never the size of the faith. It is the object of the
-
faith that that it thrives on. And that's why I say the environment is
-
important. Okay. Once you connect your faith with His or Jesus' authority,
-
your faith goes to the next level level up. Okay, Now give me
-
give you some examples. You look at the faith lesson in the in the
-
Jesus in the boat. Remember the storm came. Everybody panicked, I'm gonna
-
die. Jesus. Oh he's just doing sleeping. Maybe it's not ring as
-
well, who knows, but very calm, very comfortable. But everybody was
-
panicking because they thought that their lives were at stake. Right, But why
-
was Jesus so comfortable sleeping and all that. It's the authority. He knew
-
his authority in his not in himself only, also in his in God the
-
Father. And of course you know what he did he just do that was
-
like, you know, peace stop, and the whole seeds were calm.
-
That is authority, you know, not just faith, okay, but of
-
course it's faith as well, but the authority God in heaven and sorry say
-
kingdom. You know, the heavenly mindset right, Heaven rules right whenever things
-
happen on earth, right, even the wars that's happening. Now you think
-
up there people are in frenzy, like how governments are earthly are in friends,
-
Oh we're going to do you know, you know there's a war going
-
on up there. It's calm and collected. Why because authority. Again,
-
they understand the authority. It's the awareness that's important. They don't go in
-
anxiety. It's just like Jesus wasn't anxious. He's calm because he trusts in
-
the authority. So again, just to recap, we don't have a fair
-
problem. We may have an awareness of the authority problem. Okay, So
-
it's just something too mindful of and it's my earnest prayer that everybody do not
-
take this too lightly as well, in the midst of all the chaos craziness
-
in the world that we live in today, and trust me, it only
-
gets crazier roller coaster kind of thing, but fresh awareness of his authority has
-
to happen every single day, all right, So pray for that. Don't
-
say it's over till he says it's over all right, because he has the
-
ultimate authority, and it was the term in over to the fact that this
-
thing is no no, no, in over to Jesus says. So okay,
-
now let's come back to Gyrus and the woman again. As I mentioned
-
earlier, both going through different struggles. But I think the difference between two
-
is that the awareness of the authority of God. Okay, can I go
-
a bit deeper with this? Okay? You must understand Gyrus worked in the
-
synagogue. He's very well verse in this basically is a pastor, right as
-
I mentioned earlier, So when he approached Jesus, I'm quite sure he did
-
it with a lot of I mean urgency, yes, but there's also a
-
lot of respect, just like how I mean akin to today's world, and
-
if you have a problem, you might go to past the past. You
-
know, can you come? Is urgent you come, and you know,
-
help me pray over this situation. Ah. Then then in this case she's
-
yeah, cool, I'm coming, I'm walking over. And then the other
-
woman, just as I mentioned, just cut cure right because she's desperate as
-
one. But all she wanted, right is just a touch. Didn't want
-
to bring him to the house or so to to receive the healing, because
-
again, the awareness of authority is different. She feels that as long as
-
I touch, I know this authority is sufficient. I don't need him to
-
come to my house, right, whereas the person has two journey, probably
-
miles and miles away just to see that come to fruition. Okay, Again,
-
the focus is really the ultimate authority. So building faith, as I
-
mentioned, I put out another slide, building faith relates to recognizing the ultimate
-
authority, not just the faith itself, because faith is not just the problem.
-
Sometimes it is you know what you need to understand. And that's why
-
for us we often maybe just Mila, how many of you, if you
-
go to restaurant and get the wrong order, you might call for somebody to
-
come in fix the problem. Now, who do you normally call when you
-
want to fix that problem? Wa waiter, waitress? Sometimes if the person
-
cannot fix it, what you do ask for the manager? Right? Or
-
is it just me doing that? But why do you ask the manager?
-
High authority? That's exactly the one I'm trying to allude to here. You
-
go up, you escalate the case, right, because you know that that
-
person has the correct authority and power to do a thing. So this lady
-
here is in other words, it's like supervisor, right, because you know
-
the supervisor can do the thing. And I'll just share a quick story recently
-
the middle of the year, I was traveling a little bit for work and
-
I was sort of rushing to buy my etiquettes myself. So I was praying
-
appointing to point B in the car using a laptop mobile connection, and I
-
was because I was driving. I said through my laptop to my wife Jess
-
was next to me, can please go and book the thing for me?
-
She put it through. It went through, well, it didn't go through
-
this error, uh, And then later I went home I put it through
-
again. So, needless to say, there's a double charge for a flight
-
from Perth to Melbourne. That's why fabul like Austrian dollars by the way.
-
Uh. And then I'm like, oh man, it's one of those flights
-
right, no refunds, no, nothing, kind of cavet then so I'm
-
like, oh man, I'm so in trouble. Okay, So then I
-
just tried lot, went online, did the thing called the person, speak
-
to the manager, and then and be whole five minutes or rather I spoke
-
to the person the underlink first, and then the straight away escalated and then
-
five minutes prob go solved. So again is of course, praise God for
-
the testimony that I got my refine. But it shows that if you speak
-
to the right people, you get a better outcome from it. So what
-
I'm trying to say here is that go to Jesus love. In short,
-
don't even talk to whatever whoever people. I mean, speak to your leaders.
-
That's fine, but ultimately you still have to have that connection with Jesus
-
because he's the ultimate supervisor. Right, So do just that. And the
-
woman just did just that, consulted a lot of doctor's physicians. He realized
-
it is getting me nowhere. I need to escalate the case went straight to
-
Jesus. Touch a bit deity finish. Okay, So yeah, you need
-
to speak to your supervisor. And who's the supervisor. God is supervisor.
-
You need to speak to God of heaven and earth, not your heavenly manager.
-
You're earthly manager, all right. You need to speak to the Alpha
-
and the omega. Right, he was there from the beginning until the end.
-
He's still there, all right, So speak to God because he has
-
the full authority. He's got it under control. Right. Your faith is
-
the addition on, but his authority is equally important. Now let me just
-
quickly come to a close. I'm going to land very soon. But you
-
see, the woman right in this story or so can be seen as an
-
interrupter right to the next tent. Because the story started off by he said,
-
a Hollywood partner. The story started off by it, you know it
-
is, I need to go heal thisiclar person. And then suddenly this person
-
interrupted the whole miracle. And then, as I mentioned to you earlier,
-
Gyrus also didn't rejoice with the woman even though a miracle did happen. He
-
was sort of blinded by the calamities that's going through. Okay, and interruptions
-
are like this, all right, everything in life is urgent, everything,
-
especially for herself, is always urgent. Sometimes we feel that, hey,
-
Jesus, why why why is it taking so long for me to see that?
-
The prayer answered, why is the other person, you know, getting
-
a promotion where I'm I deserve a promotion, et cetera. Right, why
-
why? Why? Why? And then there's always all these questions, right,
-
and then you see right here he I mean she herself. You know,
-
it took some time to even to the courage to walk up to Jesus
-
to explain what's happened. And I'm thinking to myself, right, well,
-
imagine Gyrous in the situation right there. He's probably boiling you know, I
-
mean, no disrespect to women, right. But normally, when you tell
-
a story, a guy will use ten ten words to tell a story.
-
You know, the opposite gender will probably u one hundred words to tell the
-
same story, right, so you know it's going to be a long drawn
-
conversation. When Jesus asked, you know what, what what can you tell
-
me? Then Gyros are probably feeling like, oh, you know, Jesus,
-
don't you get didn't get the memo? My girl is dying, so
-
she probably he probably sees her as an interrupter. I told you his emergency,
-
God, why did he come? Truth for me? And Jesus can
-
also go and ask questions like who touched me? Like trying to play the
-
guessing game when the situation was dying, and in extreme can come up already
-
I'm I'm nearly done. Okay, now, Jesus, as you can see,
-
the story, not only waits, He waits for the woman to come
-
for a crowd, tell the long drawn story, and then, of course
-
the miracle did happen. But sometimes for us, when we observe a miracle
-
or somebody else's miracle, it can be quite frustrating from the observer's point of
-
view. Like I said earlier in that funny Hollywood scenario, is that,
-
yeah, we tend to focus on us and not realize what's happening to your
-
neighbor next door. But you know, ever seen somebody posts good news on
-
social media newborn child perhaps, and you've been struggling to have a child for
-
the last fifteen years, and you find yourself like, how am I going
-
to celebrate together for that miracle? And that is ultimately an issue as well
-
to the next tent. When Jesus makes you watch a miracle, it is
-
not to torture you or make you feel bad. I always believe that miracles
-
are shown to us, other people's miracles are shown to us, and it's
-
not we take testimonies, right, it's because that should be an encouragement that
-
if that Jesus can come true for the other person, yours would come true.
-
But maybe it's a timing thing. Maybe Again it's the awareness of the
-
authority thing that we need to work on, right. But it's not to
-
torture you, all right, even if you've seen somebody get married. Rather,
-
he's one hundred weddings. You've been to one hundred weddings and you're still
-
wondering where am I? No, it's not to torture you, and the
-
time is right. God will bring the right person to you, and that's
-
more important. So I want to encourage you, just like how at the
-
end of the story, you know he still did receive the miracle. It's
-
still a happy ending, right, But what did God do here? God
-
has to firstly, he has recognized the authority and power of God. And
-
then God has also removed the noise that is around there, So we circle
-
back one circle. All right, you need to put the things that are
-
not right aside for that miracle to come to pass. So the environment has
-
to be right. They started a funeral already, by the way, but
-
God say, hey, it's not a funeral. Why why do you like,
-
I say in over till God says so. So you need to start
-
practicing this, recognize the authority. Also start to drive out things that are
-
not right. Okay, and again not just talking to people. Okay,
-
don't just go and kick somebody your housemaid out of the house because you know
-
you don't feel comfortable with the person and things that he say. It's not
-
that I'm talking about things like fear, depression things or previous hurts. Perhaps
-
things that you deal with internally. Those are the things that need to drive
-
up. It may be impatience as well, anxiety, ah, you know,
-
disappointments, And that's why you see. Sometimes right when we are able
-
to recognize and understand and be in control of this, that miracle will come.
-
So please, if you I'll just get a better to stand right now,
-
I'm nearly done here, I'm landing now, so I just want to
-
encourage you if you struggle with this with every hit bout and eyes closed,
-
if there's some things that you know in your life that needs to be driven
-
out, need to be shoot out so that you can then see that miracle.
-
I just to encourage you to just lay it at the altar, allow
-
him to move again. It's not just the faith. Understand the authority and
-
the power that is also required. You know, check your environment what needs
-
to be driven away. It may be even the relationship that is not meant
-
to be and God is telling you that, hey, you know you need
-
to do something about it. It may be suicidal thoughts I don't know what
-
you're going through, or maybe a healing that you require for quite some time,
-
and you think that, what's the point. Lord, I've been doing
-
this, I've been praying for this so many times. You've got to drive
-
that out. God has not abandoned you. He is with you in and
-
out of season. So I think you need to just arrest in the confidence
-
that the power and authority is there. And if every eye is closed and
-
hit, but if you want to respond or you require prayer in this particular
-
area of breakthrough, you know, feel free to just creat Alton in front
-
of you and just pray. And even if you're there, you know you
-
can even lift up your hand in response and God would meet you there,
-
say, God would stop in his journey to meet you there to hear what
-
you have to say. God is not rushing at all. We hope you've
