You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message

will light up your day. I just wanted to also share a little bit

that I was at the Victory Academy sports day two saturdays ago. And because

now I sit on the management of the school. So the person who was

in charge past, the man who was overseeing the sports day, he was

telling us on Tuesday, right, so the sports day was on Saturday.

He was telling us on Tuesday. You know what the weather focus is is

going to thunderstorm every day from today until Sunday. Wow. So that's what

the weather news is saying, right, So what do we do as people

of faith? Oh oh, okay, you're very good. Ah. So

we prayed and we just went by faith because the weather report is the weather

report, right, it is what it says it is. But we are

not people of facts or people of faith. So we prayed and left it

to God. On Saturday morning, as we would drive all the way to

the school. It was somewhere in Rimbayou over since International School. We drove

all the way there. It was dark clouds all the way, all the

way dark clouds. And then we came and it was really threatening. We

started inside the hall, you know, with the school assembly and stuff like

that, and then had games inside. And when we came out for the

first outdoor games, it was just nice, cloudy day. We were like,

wow, God, this is amazing. And then they had indoor games

again, and then it came out again. Now it's so hot. Oh

my goodness. Can you imagine the hotness at ten o'clock. It is really

hot. Okay in Malaysia. We're like, okay, no sign of clouds

now, okay, thank you Jesus. But then when they went in and

then they came out again, there was dark clouds again, and they were

going for their last race, which was one hundred meter relay. Right right

after they finished the last game, and everyone was going back into the hall

for the prize giving ceremony, and I was probably the last last person to

go in, just before I entered the whole Guess what, Amen, Praise

God. It's it's really crazy how God does things, you know. And

God is still in control of the weather. So don't ever despise and say

God, you know, whatever will be will be. No, No,

we can change the weather with God's help. Amen. So so that's just

one of the testimony that came from from Va was a very very good sports

day. It's just really very thankful for the opportunity in the favor of the

place as well. Now, I was very struck by one of the teachers.

So they had houses sports houses, right, So there's Ruma Biu Kuning

and Mehra and one of the teachers from the Kuning house. He he was

so you know, samonga, so passionate for his house, you know,

and I think the whole week he was right up his students like Roma kon,

we will win, we will win. And and on the field he

was running around everywhere cheering, getting his team to to really have their team

chair, you know, really really on fire mode than all the other teachers.

To a point when he was walking right, he was walking like that,

I was like, what happened because his shoe flap opened up. He

was so busy running around everywhere until his shoe was opened by he said,

it's worthy, it's worthy, come on, tim. So but you know

what, overall, when they ended the games, do you think Ramakuning won

the championship. No, In fact, they were the last seam of the

overall house. But you know, he was still cheering his team on as

they went up to take their price. Right, there was second place,

second run up. But what I really love about his spirit was that he

was fully confident. Although way, it doesn't matter whether the team looks like

he's losing or winning, but he was fully confident of his team, one

hundred percent confident. My question to you this morning is are you one hundred

percent confident of the gospel? Are you? It's a hard question, right

to ask. Am I fully confident of the gospel of Jesus Christ? And

that's the gospel that we preach. And I think why this message came to

me was because I realized that we are not fully one hundred percent confident,

and that's why we find it very hard to share the gospel. I'll be

very honest, it's not easy at all to share the gospel that we have,

especially in this world, especially in this country that we live in.

There's many restrictions. And that's four I wanted to go to the Book of

Romans and see what we can lean and glean from this very man. Do

you know who wrote the Letter of Romans? Paul? All right, that's

right, Paul. Now what do you know about Paul. Just give me

some flavor of this man called Paul. What do you know about Paul?

His name was Saul before. Yes, there was a transformation. Very good,

give you extra point because it's your birthday. Well done, well done?

What else? What else do you know about Paul? Who was Saul

before? Sorry, he was persecute the Christian? Yeah? What else?

What else? He doesn't believe in Jesus before that, right when he was

sold, But then after he became Paul, he was on fire for Jesus.

There was nothing else he talked about, right, Jesus was his all

and all and yeah and so so that's the thing. And when Paul was

writing this letter, So when you read that, okay, do you have

your Bibles? You can turn your book to turn your Bible to the Letter

of Romans. Romans is actually a letter. Did you know that? It's

a letter? It's the longest writer letter in the New Testament. And it's

written by Paul. But guess what he's writing. Would you spend so much

money and effort and time writing letter to a church that don't know you?

You know that Paul was a missionary, right, and he went around planting

a lot of churches, but he did not plan this church in Rome.

And yet he was spending so much time. And those days, when you

write a letter is very expensive. You don't write today, you send a

Texas very free, like everything is free. You just pay your data.

But in those days, writing a letter was very costly. And so he

wrote the longest letter to the church that he doesn't know and he didn't plant,

and they didn't know him, how would they receive him? So think

about that as a context. Okay, Now let's then read Romans chapter one,

verses one to seventeenth. All right, so that will be the text

for today. Are you there? Okay, I'm reading from the NKJV version,

and let's see what we can learn from this letter. All right,

okay, reading from verse one, Paul, Wow, you know those days

right, they straightway start off by saying me, I am the center of

the letter. Okay, so no doubt about it nowadays that we said letter,

we write everything. Then the last plot is our name, right by

Paul. Those days it made lots of sense, right, Okay, Paul

was a writer. Now, he says, Paul, a bond seven of

Jesus Christ called to be an apostle separated to the Gospel of God, which

he promised before through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures concerning his son Jesus Christ,

our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the

flesh, and declared to be the son of God with power according to the

spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Are you lost yet?

Noah, Okay, track along with me Verse five. Through him we

have received grace an apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations for His

name, among whom you also are. The call of Jesus Christ to all

who are in rome, beloved of God called to be saints. I will

rephrase that to all who are in exchirass be loved of God called to be

saints. Grace to you and peace from God, our Father and the Lord

Jesus Christ. Verse eight. First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ,

for you all that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.

For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the Gospel

of His Son, that without seizing I make mention of you always in my

prayers, making request if by some means now at last I might find a

way in the will of God to come to you. For I long to

see you that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you

may be established. That is, that I may be encouraged together with you

by the mutual faith both of you and me. Now, I do not

want you to be unaware of brethren, brothers and sisters, that I often

plan to come to you. Yeah, I often plan to come to Jiazza,

but not all the time, but was hindered until now that I might

have some fruit among you. Also, just as among the other gentles,

I am a debtor both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both too wise and

too unwise. So as much as in me, I am ready to preach

the Gospel to you who are in Rome. Also, for I'm not a

shame of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to

salvation for everyone who believes. For the jew first, and also for the

Greek Verse seventeen, for it is for in it the righteousness of God is

revealed from faith to faith. As it is written, the just shall live

by faith. Amen, Lord read, Let the Lord add to the reading

of his word. Now Wow, there's so much to unpack from this,

Okay, so much that Paul is writing in just the first seventeen sentences,

you know, of the verses that he's writing. Now, some things that

we can learn from this, okay. Number one is intercession. So if

the slights are there, what did Paul say, I remember you? But

he's never met them before, right, never met them before. They've never

met him before, and just not as you were greeting some people before.

Right, You're like, hey, strangers, strangers, right, I know

you actually your long lost brothers and sisters because guess what, we will all

be reunited in heaven. Right, people of faith, We're all connected.

We're in the family of God. And he says, I remember you.

Wow, did you remember each other? Hm? Did you remember each other?

He? He was praying for them. Now that's something that we can

learn. You know, Are we praying for one another here? Sometimes we

are so caught up. We're just praying for our own needs, you know,

and yeah, our challenges, our troubles. But are we praying for

one another? I think that's something we can learn. I pray that we

will now include in our prayer life not just things of our own, my

immediate family, but the church. Because Paul was concerned about the Kingdom of

God. He was concerned about other believers as well. Right, So intercession,

I remember you. So Paul was very good. He says, I

thank my God every time every day, you know, he says, I

thank God every day for you. Wow. Do you thank God for each

other or not? Look to your neighbor. I thank God for you right

now, right now, right now, look to your neighbor. I thank

God for you. Wow. I thank God that you're here today. Right

Otherwise it would be just Nick and myself and Bassa Gloria. I know,

but we thank God for you that you're here this morning. Amen. Intercessions

something that we can continue to do more and more in the coming days.

All right, now, there's something else. He had an ambition, Paul.

You know, Paul wrote a letter with a motive and a mission.

He He wasn't just like, oh I got nothing to do last maybe I

read a letter or maybe I just text a person. But Paul had an

ambition. And what is his ambition? What do you think he was trying

to do to the church in Rome. What do you think he was trying

to give them and any thoughts as we read that coouragement. Thank you very

much, Elaine encouragement. Paul was just wanting to encourage the church there because

he heard so much about your faith, right, he wanted to give them

encouragement, and he says, so that I can impart to you some spiritual

gift. That's right, every time we meet together this way, I pray,

okay, every Sunday, every time you meet as homes, every time

your fellowship, I pray that you come with this spirit of encouragement to fan

into flame the gift that God has given. Do you know how powerful your

words are? You know? After the service today, you know maybe you

can go to a worship leader and say thank you for leading worship. Fan

give that spirit of encouragement so that he will continue to use his give his

spiritual give our excus teacher, do they no excuse? Right? Yeah,

but every time they serve, thank them and say thank you for imparting and

Paul wanted to encourage them to continue to serve one another. And that's

powerful. And but you see Paul always has a balance. One. He

will come to give encouragement, but he also comes with another prong. Okay,

let me give to you this verse. Okay, he says, some

I do not want. This is in verse thirteen. Okay, look to

your Bible. In verse thirteen, he says, Now, I do not

want you to be unaware breaden that I often plan to come to you.

Right. He wanted to come to you that I might have some fruit among

you also, just as among the other gentiles. Now, what is this

What is paul one thing? What is this fruit that Paul is talking about?

Anyone spiritual fruit? Can you give me more more? What kind of

spiritual fruit? Think about it? Any other versions or not? You Sometimes

the one version doesn't give you the food. You know, understanding, you

go back to the original then it will give you more. Is it just

some spiritual fruit? What is the fruit that Paul wanted among the gentle?

Hey, Gentle's God spiritual fruit, salvation and thank you very much. Paul

was looking at evangelism. Every time he goes to minister to a church.

He's always thinking about how can I encourage the believers? How can I harvest

the souls of the people? There amen his mind and his sole purpose was

this too prong always. So anytime now you think about your ministry, right,

do I have both? Do I have encouragement and discipleship of the people

and also thinking about the harvest? This balance we must have. Sometimes we

can just focus on okay, okay, let's encourage and you know, grow

deep, and we forget that there's many out there that doesn't know the Lord,

you know. And then sometimes we can we're on, okay, let's

just focus on this and you know, just save souls. But then we

forget about feeding the sheep as well. Right, So this is a delicate

balance. It's a delicate balance that only by God's grace we can remember,

right, And that's why God gave us the fivefule ministry, so that we

will all remember all this la All right, do you know what the fivefule

ministry are? Have you heard about this before? Noah, Okay, let

me give you a quick briefing. We won't go into it. But those

who know tell those who don't know. Okay, So those who know tell

me it was a five four ministry, the five gifts that apostleship. All

right, teacher, profet, evangelists, and pastor. Okay, those who

know will tell you. Okay, those who don't know. So there is

five gift things that is given by the Holy Spirit to the church. So

every church will have the five gift things so that we can continue to grow

as a body of Christ. Amen. All right. So you look around

and say, hey, this one not very evangelistic. You know, every

time this person will bring five friends to church one wa, it's a natural

gift, right. And then this person will teach the words so powerful.

No, I understand, somebody, this is a gift of teaching and it's

by the Holy Spirit. Okay. Some people like passa glorias, like,

oh, she's a very good teacher. That's a gifting. Some people are

very prophetic, so they will speak of God, you know, and and

declare God's promises. So we have many we have diverse gifts in the church,

and we thank God that we have so many. Amen, it's good.

It's good to grow the church. Okay. So that's his ambition.

Paul also had an obligation. Right, do you feel that you ever have

a debt? A hutang anyone hut or not? Okay? Only Elene is

A dead a dead And when you have a dead, what must you do

to the dead? You have to repay law. Do we like that?

No? Our ambition in life is to be dead free, right, financially

things anymore. But Paul had a lifelong death. He's dead, he says,

Hey, it's written in the word of God. No, I say

what? Okay? Where does he say? In verse fourteen, he says,

I am a debt both to Greeks and to Barbarians, both to the

wise and to the unwise. We never thought about that, right, he

had a debt? And what is this dead? What is this that the

preach the gospel? I pray that the Lord, the Holy Spirit will convict

each one of us that as we are paying our housing loan, our dead,

our card debt, that we also realized that we have a debt to

preach the gospel to all around us. Wow, Wow, suddenly another death

to have. Right, But Paul says, remember when we read the first

verse, right, Paul A, what is he? What is he?

The second word? What is he? A bond? Servant? Any other

translation? What else do you have? Servant? Servant? You see,

servant is a good translation, but servant it doesn't fully capture born servant because

born seven is slave slavery. Now I know that the world has abolished slavery,

right, because we're like, no, that's not right, that's not

humanly, you know, right to have slaves. But Paul knew that we

are all slaves regardless. We started as slaves to sin, our sin nature.

But when Christ came and we accepted the gospel, we have been broken

free from the slavery to sin. But now we become a different slave.

What are we slave to now? Slave of slave of God, slave of

righteousness? Still slave? But my question to you is do you want to

be a slave to sin or do you want to be a slave to righteousness.

And that's why Paul calls himself, I am the chief sinner. I

am a bond servant. I'm a slave to righteousness. That means all that

I do, and my master is God. And that's what he lived for.

Amazing, right, I mean, that's why this is in the Word

of God that we may take encouragement. This is not to bring anyone down

and say, no, this is not possible. A someone said, this

is right, Paul, they're not believing Jesus Christ. That's right. That's

when he was Saul. So he came from a place and guess what.

He killed a lot of Christians. Do you have you killed any Christian?

Yet? Anyone kill any Christians? No? Right, you cannot be worse

off than Paul. Paul was worth. He actually agreed to the mother of

many Christians drag them off to prison. None of us have done that,

right, But that was Saul, which God then repurposed to be Paul,

one of the greatest apostles. So guess what there is hope. Tell your

neighbor there is hope for you. Tell you there is hope for me,

because in Jesus Christ there is hope. Amen. Amen, So I want

us to take encouragement. I'm here. I feel like a bit like Paul,

I don't know. I'm here to bring you encouragement but also stir you

into faith. My goal, or at least the prayer that I have right

every Sunday, is that we will go from faith to faith, glory to

glory. I'm not saying we're there yet. I am not there yet.

Nobody is there yet. But we grow from faith to faith, glory to

glory, step by step, day by day, week by week. I

pray that your faith will be more encouraged this week than last week, Amen,

and then next week your faith will be better than this week. Amen.

That's that's how we grow. And it's exciting, right because we know

that our faith is step by step, step by step. Yes, there

will be days when we will be discouraged. There will be the days when

we fall, but that's okay. That's okay because then we turn to God

and He's there for Amen. So good? Are you getting something so far?

Yeah? Now, then let's move on to the verse that I want

to focus on this morning, and this is in verse sixteen. He says,

for I am not a shame of the Gospel of Christ. Amen,

I want to talk a little bit about this because I think this is very

personal to me as well. Now, when Paul says I am not a

sham right, meaning actually he's a shameler. You think about it. When

someone says something about something, it must be a process that he had to

go through first, right, it must be a process the go troughth f

us and then only with God changing him that he could now actually say this.

First, Remember Saul again, was he a shame of the godspel No,

he wanted to kill everyone who believe in the gospel. But now he's

saying, I am not a shame because you guess what the gospel itself brought

shame? And what I mean by this is this. Do you know how

Paul was brought to Rome? Do you know how Paul was brought to Rome?

He was persecuted, right, And he was brought to Rome and he

was in chains. He was chained to Roman soldier. Do you like to

walk into a city with chains? No? Right? I mean we enter

a new city, we're like, oh, it's so nice to visit Rome.

But you are brought into shame. Now, the basis of shame is

when you feel that I cannot fully justify my faith. And I find that

for myself sometimes when I'm thinking about sharing the gospel to a friend or a

colleague, or even to my family member, I feel like, for God,

my life is not perfect. There's so many things lacking in my own

life. You know, I'm I'm not the successful person that you think.

You know, I'm not not like the O mega you know what whatever in

my career, I'm not hitting the millions. So how can I share the

good news? Because when you look at my life, you'll be like,

hey, your life very mayor may very mayor like that? Okay, okayla

right, not not super great? So so what's so great about your God?

It's like maybe when you pray for someone or then the person got worse?

A how are not worse than the philodeamoyo? How does that mean that

my prayer is ineffective? Then we find it very hard to share the gospel?

Right because like I'm also like you, I'm not sure lah, how

come I'm you know? And I realized that my theology, or at least

the operating mindset that I have, is that I must have a Jesus plus

gospel. It means I can tell you about Jesus, but then he will

settle all your problems in life. Do you realize that? Do you see

why I'm going with this. I will tell you about Jesus and you will

definitely get the promotion that you want. I will tell you about Jesus and

you can get the wife hot wife. Whah, why no, not right?

And many times this is for me, La, this is for me.

I realized that because I have the plus Jesus plus something mindset, that

when I don't see the plus, I shrink back, I shream back and

say no, maybe Jesus is not enough. And God the Lord convicted me

Jesus is enough Jesus. He had to ask me, is Jesus enough when

you achieve all your successes? And is Jesus enough when you don't have anything

at all? Is Jesus enough for you? Ask yourself this question, is

Jesus enough for you? Because I realize we've built our understanding of who Jesus

is as God in our lives with Jesus and this Jesus and that, and

when that doesn't happen, we realize Jesus is not enough. All. Jesus

is not enough. And when we feel that Jesus is not enough, that,

of course I won't be able to share this because you feel that there

is a lack and it's shame, right, because you look, you measure

how you're alive with versus others, and you feel that I'm a shamed because

I don't think I measure up to the gospel. But that is not what

Paul is saying to us. And I want to bring this revelation to you.

Paul is saying, I am not ashamed of the gospel. You know,

you know, Okay, if you want to talk about success, right,

I think Paul was the worst in terms of a successful Okay, Nowadays

we look at what pastor of a big, mega church, right, I

got ten thousand people or one hundred thousand people. We think, oh,

that's a very successful church. And we flocked to learn all about the success.

It was a strategy, right. And but if you look at Paul's

ministry and you're like, hey, this guy a bit like Leela, you

know what this is loca loser? Right In second quarantines, he says,

in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, I have been beaten so

many times five times I received from the Jews thirty nine leshes well being hit

by the Jews thirty nine times. Three times I was beaten with rods once

I was stoned. Have you been stoned? Three times? Our shipwrecked?

A night and a day I spend in the deep. I have been on

frequent journeys in dangers from rivers, from Roberts, from my countrymen, from

the gentles, dangers in the city, in the wilderness, on the sea,

dangers amongst false bread and Wow. So, if you want to think

about success right and his own life, I don't think we will put him

there as like successfula. But yet he can say confidently, for I am

not ashamed of the gospel. You see. The thing is right when we

try and we attempt to share the gospel with others, and when it didn't

work, what comes what hits us? It's shame, right, shame and

rejection. Okay, we tried it once and the person says, I'm not

interested. The persons says, oh, you're always gone. Yes, so,

and you know I don't be a friend anymore. I don't want to

invite you for lunch anymore. Do you understand that God assumans like you always

preach the gospel. Okay, sorry, I have to be a translation.

Yeah. And and when we receive rejection, we what do we do when

we are ashamed and rejected? What's our response? You hide? Correct,

Hi, in your room, never to see anyone ever again, or at

least you'll tell yourself, I will never do this again. That's shame,

right, And and shame is something that causes us to hide. And I

realize many of us are closet Christians because we hide. We hide our faith.

We hide saying that God is good because sometimes you're saying, actually,

in my life, this doesn't look like it's very good. How come it's

good? We sing it, We sing it right, we can sing God

is good all the time. But then we look at our lives. You're

like, my life is not that great? To be honest God, you

know, have the honest conversation we got. But then how did Jesus do

it? Do you know that Jesus was shame, despise, rejected. Yes,

that's a lot Jesus. You know, maybe that's why it's also shameful.

Right. The people of the world will say, ah, yeah,

your God, shame, despise, rejected, hung on the cross. What

kind of savior is this? But what did Jesus say in Hebrews? Talk

to who for the joy that was said before him? This is Jesus endured

the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand

of the throne of God. So what did Jesus do with shame? When

shame hits you? What did Jesus do? He despised it. Can I

give you an encouragement the next time when you try to do something from God

and there is shame, there's opposition from other people. You don't have to

take it, you know, you don't have to accept it and receive and

say, oh man, this is me. No, you take the shame,

you put it down, you stomp on it, and say, I

despise you shame because shame is not from God. Can I say that shame

is not from God. Shame is from the devil. It's from the enemy,

and it stops you from moving forward, So you know what you like.

I don't need to paisse or luxay or whatever sailor. Right, Chinese

people have a lot this muka this. We have to take care of our

skin, you know. And and I remember someone saying this before. I

don't know it supposed to can not? He says, a. As Christians,

right, we need to have thick skin. La, Okay, hey,

ti skin can or not? Do you have thick skin or not?

We need tick skin, you know, to be in ministry. Take skin

on your face, but so hot? Okay, soft hot? Take skin,

tack skin, but so of because God needs us to be like that

to be able to share the gospel. Right that, oh may, No,

that's what we want to know. That's what we want the whole world

to know that our God is good. Right, he despires a shame.

It means, uh, when your friends abandon you. It means when your

reputation is slendered, people talk bad about you. It means when you are

experiencing this comfort. It means when your decency you're you know sometimes as human

beings, right, we want to have a bit of respectability. Lah,

people look up to us a little bit, right, Yeah, I mean

okay, maybe me la me la, mila. I want people to look

up to me a bit la. And it's saying Jesus hung on the cross

naked, there's no decency about him. There was no respectability about Jesus hanging

on the cross, and yet he knew that was all that he was going

to go through, and yet he still went. Do you know he could

have easily said and just come, and you know, I don't have to

do this anymore. But Jesus is Father, not my will, but yours

be done, Yours be done. So when we are faced with persecution,

when we are faced with shame, when we are faced with rejection, what

do we do? We lay down, We despise the shame, but we

look forward for the joy that was set before us. What is the joy?

What is the joy that's set before us? This is where the gospel

is, because Paul says, for I am not ashamed of the Gospel of

Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation. Amen. That's

the first point. Paul was not afraid, he was not ashamed because it

was God's power to salvation. Amen. This is the gospel. It is

God's power unto salvation. There's nothing else. You know. It says that

to the Jews it was foolishness. To the Gentles, it was to the

Jews, it was it didn't make sense. To the Jews. Gentles,

it was just foolishness. And when you talk to your many friends out there.

They will say, ah, yeah, this one is a very silly

concept. Why you trust in Jesus? What did Jesus do for you?

Do you know that faith is a gift from God? Oh? You

every year. For what is it? Just enjoyment? Go and travel and

see the world. And then after that? What what after that? Is

it just all about enjoyment? Think about it? There there? You know,

without godd the purpose of life is so meaningless. You know, without

God, nothing is like I can understand why people are depressed because without God,

it's very depressing this world. Okay, what's happening right now in the

world, it's just bad news after bad news? Lah, you know,

it's like what is there to live for? What is there to hope for?

But God? Paul is convinced that the gospel, this message of Jesus

and him crucified, but not only him crucified, you know, him resurrected

a man, God is resurrected. That is the power. Because when we

of Genesis, We're meant to walk with God forever, enjoy his fellowship,

is salvation from sin. Amen is the power of God to save us.

God is in the business of saving people and this world save salvation. It's

not just saved, but it's the meaning. It comes from this word as

Because what were we before? We were rubbish? What were we all before

when we were playing we said we were rubbish? And what you when you

do with rubbish you throw all you throw into the bay. You don't just

in your life is perfect, why do you need the hero? No only

hero? Why can can you catch something that when you're sharing the gospel with

someone, help them see that there is sin in their lives. That's that's

how you start start sharing the gospel. Don't just stay say Jesus loves you

and they're like, hey, yealla, my mum also loves me. What's

the difference? Cry not a serious one. Think about it. If you

just go on this love and God loves you, God wants to bless you

and all that, it's like, yeah, my dad, also, what's

the difference. So the Gospel of Jesus Christ is saying, hello, there

is something wrong with this world. There's something wrong in my life, and

you're like, correct, there is something wrong with all of us. Actually,

we all want to do nasty stuff on me. By God's grace got

holds us back, and we don't. Right, we are inherently sinful,

bad in our nature, sometimes do good la. You know. The humanist

thing was say, you know, we're all good sometimes do bad things.

No, no, no, The Gospel says, no, we're all bad

people who sometimes know how to do good. So let's get clear on the

nature of the gospel, right, it's the power to save. I mentioned

this already. Paul was not a shamed because he had a debt. He

had a purpose, right, think about it. His purpose was to preach.

His gospel was to preach to the Greeks and to the barbarians. Now,

how many of you are Greeks here? Can I see anyone any Greek

here? No Greeks or no one Greek? How many of you know how

to read Latin, Latin and Greek? Nobody? Or then guess what,

we're all barbarians. Not really, Barbarians are those who do not know how

to read Greek and Latin. That's what Paul is saying. Hey tell you,

hey, hi, Barbarian doesn't sound like a very nice word, right,

Greeks are very intellectual people, right, very very smart people to the wise

and to the unwise Poulsies. No, the Gospel is for everyone, everyone,

give you before I close is this. You know, Paul, he he

had a debt to pay, right, But I think what was even more

beautiful was this that he knew that There is in verse seventy. Look at

it, for in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith,

as it is written, the just shall live by faith. Do you

know? Okay, let me ask you this question. Do you like the

righteousness of God? Anyone? Anyone like the righteousness of God? Yes?

Martin Luther hated it? Who's that? Who's Martin Luther? He was a

person who did brought the Reformation right? How can Martin Luther hate the righteousness

of God? Why? Because if you understand the righteousness of God, it

means judgment. When God is right and just, it means all sinners must

die. Yes, that that's that's that's the total equation. Right when you

think about it, I want a fair system. I want a right system,

meaning all the bad people will we punished, all the good people will

be rewarded. Correct. Yes, that there's fairness in our minds, there's

justice. So in God's eyes, think about it from God's perspective. Right,

the righteousness of God means all sinners must be put to hell and die,

and if there's any good person, then this person will have it in

a life. Guess what where are we? Which category are we in?

So that's why Martin Luther hated it. He not hated it is in a

sense that he was afraid of it. He was afraid of the righteousness of

God because it meant to all of us we are all condemned, condemned.

But do you know what's different about this? It's not just the righteousness of

God, the nature the righteousness of God, but Paul is talking about the

righteousness from God. You see the difference, and the righteousness from God is

now imputed to everyone who has declared and confessed with their mouth and believe in

their heart that Jesus Christ is Lord. Do you know that we have been

inputed a righteousness from God. It means that I think God really deserves a

Hallelujah praise God for this. You know we were sinners. We were sinners.

Way no way of going into an eternity with God, no way of

going into righteousness with God. And God says, now, when I give

my son Jesus Christ for you, you know, Jesus clothes us in his

righteousness. How beautiful is that all our sins are washed white? No longer

are we condemned in the sight of God. Do you know that when we

go before the true rule of God, when we meet with God, the

Father, God doesn't just see us in our past and our sins. You

know, God sees us with a layer a righteousness of Jesus Christ. And

when he looks at you, he's like, Oh, Gloria, I see

Jesus, you are justified. I see Jesus, You're justified. This one

no Jesus received except Jesus. Okay Amen. And when God looks at us,

it's the righteousness that came from Jesus that covers us from our sin.

How beautiful is that? It's amazing the righteousness from God. I pretty you

meditated, and it's revealed from faith to faith, as it is written,

the just shall live by faith, you know? And do you know this

verse, the last verse, the just shall live by faith, is actually

a reference, a reference from Habaku Habakuk two four. Did you know that?

Do you know? There's a lot of reference between the Old Testament and

the New Testament. So let's go to Habakok, now, are you there?

Go to Habakok. It's one of the old prophets, and it's also

where our church receives, you know, our vision right that the whole earth

shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters

covers the sees. That's Habacok two fourteen. But this is when when Paul

was referring to Habakok two four, it says, there, for the this

is verse three. Okay, I'm just reading from verse three Habbacok two three.

For the vision is yet for an appointed time. But the end,

at the end, it will speak, and it will not lie, though

it arries. Wait for it, because it will surely come. It will

not terry. This is the prophetic message of Jesus. And he says in

verse one, behold the proud, his soul is not upright in him.

But the just shall live by his faith. Amen. Do you know I

want to prophetically declare that the just, the righteous here we are all righteous

and God. Amen, we all have been made righteous before the Lord because

we've received the righteousness from him. He says, just keep faith, amen,

Just keep faith. The worshipping can go on stage. Just keep faith,

Just keep the faith. Don't give up, even when times are gonna

get tough. Hello, friends, the times are tougher and tougher as we

speak. But he says, the righteous shall live by faith because it is

those who last until the end that will see Jesus that will be saved.

Amen. It is not now you know that you give up and suddenly you're

gone from the faith. No, it is those who keep faith and keep

walking in the faith until the very end that will reach our final salvation.

Do you know that we are not fully saved yet? Because not? And

yet all right, haven't and yet? So that's why we must keep the

faith. We must continue walking. And I pray that all of us will

have this heart. You know, in our mind it says Jesus is tough.

It's tough but I'm gonna keep walking in the faith. I'm gonna keep

walking. I'm gonna look at the joy that there's ahead of me because Jesus,

for the joy that was set before him, endure the cross, despised

the shame. I pray that we will never be a shame of the gospel,

that you will have it in your heart of hearts that it's not Jesus

plus gospel that we are sharing is Jesus is enough. Jesus alone is enough

because although we cannot see it, although our circumstances are still gonna be dire,

although situations may not change, but I know as a fact that this

is the power of salvation Jesus. It's not now. You know, the

promise is not now? Is then? So would you wait until then?
