Our Promise Keeper | Dr Daniel Kong

We hope this message will light up your day.

I'm going to start off with a recap of what

I've shared a few months ago. Two months ago, it

just to be precise, actually shot up two months I

flash up a particular slide. This is a nat TOM

now for those of you who are here with me.

I spoke about God's promise and how the order of

the promise is actually delivered, right, so I use the

four body parts. The eyes is where God sees a

promise in you. He shares the promise and you hear it, okay,

Then you hear the conditions. And then we talked about obedience.

I think that's the last time I came here and

spoke about walking in faith. So there's the action that

you need to take. And hopefully you remember some of

the points of the If you don't, that's fine, go back.

And nowadays everything is recorded so you can go and

watch the MPTG again. And of course, lastly, the hands

is when God then releases the blessing upon you once

you meet the condition of walking in obedience. Okay. So

this is a follow up message of what I SD

two months ago. Okay. Hopefully I'm off for the next time,

so not so long okay, but but yeah, so today

I'm gonna be talking about the promise of God, okay,

but more in the context of not just the promise,

but how the promise is actually very powerful. Okay. Uh.

And this is in line with God's promise and how

it's released. So if you haven't had a chance to

to to to to be here that day, you're going

to watch the MTG okay, rather not watch listen to

the MTG. Okay. Now, it's in every hope of every parent,

for those for you, for are parents here, that whenever

you you give some instructions, okay, the hope is for

your kids to not just obey, but to really obey

or rather respond very quickly, right, you don't want delays.

It is from a parent of a patient parent. Okay.

So there is the usual case. Now for those of

you who do not know, I've got a teenage kid

that I've got to deal with these days. He's just

turned toteen this year, so that obedience part sometimes can

be a little bit slower, okay, And and and and

and therefore, uh, the response to the instruction Uh, it's

also a bit slow. I'll share this short story, just

a very simple one. A few weeks ago we had

sold this is our leaders training, UH. And then I

got Zach because he's now older, to help UH with

some chairs. So there's a particular way he lifted a

chair that I looked at it. I straight know the

parent kept put on Thereally, no killer, it's not the

right way to do it. I need to give him

some instruction to do it properly. But being a young

teen and a bit of rebellous nature, he's like, I

want to do it my way, okay, And obviously, long

story short, he did it his way. He something's happened,

chair collapse, et cetera. And then in my mind I

know this in my mind straight we say, okay, I

can foresee it happening. That's why I gave the instruction

to not do it this way. But of course he

will defy me and not just slow to obey. He

went opposite direction as well. And I also reminded by

my wife that I need to be more patient. And

this I believe is so part of how God sometimes

gives instructions. I'm not saying that, you know, we put

on the perspective of God. But sometimes God is like

a parent as well. Right, He gives you instructions because

he knows what's best for us, but sometimes he also

allows us to make mistakes to an extent, and then

he comes back and and and you know, save the day,

you know kind of thing. But yeah, patience is really

something that God really has quite a fabit, and as

earthly parents sometimes have to learn as well. So again

I'm just reminded, Yeah, I need to come back and encourage,

give more direction. Sometimes you don't give correction, and God

does that all the time as well. Okay, so then

I'm speaking about that, particularly on this context. And so

the first slide is really God speaks. Aren't we glad

that God speaks to us because otherwise, you know, it'll

be like me from afar. I can see that happening,

but I don't say anything and then come and correct him.

Not fairs all right, So God speaks, and we as

earthly parents also speak quite a fabit, right, And today

he's still speaking, not just long time ago. Today is

still speaking and his we sung earlier. He is the

same yesterday, today and tomorrow. So God is the same

and sometimes we look at it, you know, often we

even God speaks to us. We get encouraged, we get direction,

we also get sometimes correction. Right, they're not so nice parts,

but it's part and parcel of us living out and

walking in accordance to His plan, as we've shared, as

I started off, a live in the last passage, because

He has a plan for us, and we are to

obey through this. But God speaks to us primarily in

two ways, okay, next light. He speaks to us in scripture,

and he speaks to us within our spiritual community. And

I unpacked this a little bit now. Not all the

time God speaks to us in the audible voice. Sometimes

he does. I myself have only got one out of

my many years of life, I'm quite old, only once

I've heard and audible voice. Also a very soft audible voice, okay,

not very you know, like how you not Morgan Freeman

kind of voice. Okay, But you know some people who

live all their lives and not even hear God. Okay,

But most people, I would say, in general, hear God

in these two aspects, true scriptures okay, and true spiritual community.

And unpacked this a little bit, okay. So every time

you sit down and read the Bible, God speaks to you, right,

He highlight different things. Now, sometimes we read a book

or scripture or you know, the Bible, we think of

it as static because it's already written some time back.

But many of us who actually read the scriptures over

and over again, you know that it's not static. It's

very dynamic. Right. He speaks to you. Even the same

passage that you read again, he highlights different things to you.

And this is one thing. It's not just a historical account.

The Bible is for the present as well. Okay. It's

not an old school book. In fact, right, it's stood

the test of time and it's still continuing guiding us

as Christians, right every single day. It's amazing. It's got

so much in there, you know, talks about relationship, talks

about different direct different approaches to take different steps, and

also talks about promises and how it's received. And I've

shared a little bit about that in the last time. Okay,

So that's the scripture part of it. Okay, So I

really encourage you to speak to God or let God

speak to you true scriptures, Okay, easy, Right, it's a

very easy message today by the way, it's not meant

to be very heavy, so so just bear me, okay. Now,

second one spiritual community. Now these are fellow believers the

church or people who believe in Christ, have heard of Christ,

and we believe that the church plays an important role

as well to do all that encourage, to teach, to

to to to help you, pray alongside you, to give

you wisdom as well, because different ones again hear from God,

and sometimes they hear from God. Off your promises, not

just there are personal promises, and if I've said that before, promises,

everybody's promises are very unique and individualized. But sometimes God

also gives us the opportunity to hear of other people's

promises and then we can then share it with the

others as well. So this is where the company of

believers is. It's amazing because, uh, you know, it really

translates and allows us to do more than just being

on ourselves. Okay, Now I was pasted Jill as a pastor.

Jill doctor Jill get a passa jack. Doctor Jill came

and shared with us, I think one one year ago,

came and shared released the word uh and I and

I and I thought to myself. That word was really

for not just the church, but really for myself as well.

And sometimes if you've heard of that, right, those kinds

of stories where you someone speaks, you know it's for you.

It's specific for you. And this is where again God

speaks true his uh, his other servants, or it is

either fellow believers or your peers to the extent uh

to to to to to to help you with all

those instructions, et cetera. Okay, so this is a where

where where you can tap into the people around you

and it's a custom message. You must understand this. So

whether it be true scriptures or true people, it's a

custom message for you. So you can do two things.

You can choose to move away, avoid it all together,

or pick it up. Or sometimes young people they chase

different prophetic ministers. Right here, Oh, a certain somebody rock

star in the in the world of a Christian is

in town. You go and chase that particular person and

hear of it. Now again, nothing wrong with that, but

sometimes you must also understand it's not for everybody, because

sometimes God speaks specifically and it can be even happening

in this place over here. All right, don't just chase

rock stars. One prayer to say, Okay, God speaks to anybody,

and so how do we then? Because God speaks to

primary intruders. Two modes. So obviously the first part you

gotta do on your own. I can't really help you there.

We can do you know, Bible studies together, et cetera.

That can help, but ultimately it's your own responsibility to

hear or speak to God or let God speak to you. Okay.

The second portion with the community people you know, even

not missing church is one way of giving an opportunity

for God to speak to you true people, not just

the person on the pulpit, but you know, different ones,

your leaders, et cetera. Never miss an opportunity for homes. Again,

God can speak true people homes as well. Right, never

miss this opportunity for prayer services. Praises are very powerful. Right,

and again, if you really want to hear from God,

do miss it. Right, Let's just strive to have one

hundred percent attendance at prayer services because why, God speaks

true people as well, not just your personal side, and

the two supplement each other. Right, So every time you

spend time with godly people or Christians, God can speak. Okay.

And again all this is is what do you call

this very specific and targeted for you? Why am I

sharing this? Because if you don't understand the mode of delivery,

it's akin to us standing and waiting for let's say

a parcel. You know, you buy something from shoppy. You

you stand the wrong place or you wear the wrong address. Anyway,

wonder why the message doesn't come to you the part

of the message? Why because you're saying in the wrong

place or you're waiting in the wrong place. You need

to be at the right place at the right time. Okay.

And this the thing of the different guys, the shopping guys,

or the or the or the Christians. They are also

the agents of people who deliver God's message to you. Okay,

So you need to do that. Okay. Now we understand

that God speaks. Now we talk about what's our job.

What do we do when we hear God speak to us? Okay,

it's not just hearing, right, you need to, as we say,

leving to do something right, But how do you do something? Now?

It's our job right to steward whatever we hear from

God until it is fulfillment. And I'll dive in a

little bit deeper about what stewarding is all about. So

when you receive the word, it can be prophetic, it

can be you know, highlighted and clear, clear promise to

you specifically. But also recognize this every time he speaks, right,

there's also power in that word. There's enough power in

that word to even see miracles happen. Like while we

read in the story earlier, you know there's power still

in the bones, you know. Diving a bit deeper about

that in a bit, But things that are spoken of

you sometimes it might it might not be relevant to you.

Then then okay, like, uh, just to share you, when

I was younger, I have been somebody prayed over me,

released a prophetic word and was a teen rebellous teen uh,

and then said that something along the lines that, you know,

I've got this thing about being able to pray for

people and then they'll be healing. I didn't think much

of it as a teen. Something else happened when I

was a campus student, and a similar kind of thing

in the same vein happened. And then say, okay, but

I didn't practice it. Okay, for those who do not

know me, I'm an introvert by nature extrovert to survive. Okay, uh,

because this is the nature of the job. Okay, but

if you ask me, I will remain very quiet normally.

And my wife's total opposite. So if you haven't met

my wife, Yeah, she feeds on energy. I just get tired. No,

just kidding. Anyway, I'll share a bit more about that

later on. But but yeah, something I received didn't make

sense as a kid, but later in life, which I'll

share about the testimony later on, it made sense much

later on. Something with spoken over you about the person

you're going to marry as well, or the person you

need to get you know you should be, or even

a dream of a business adventure that you need to pursue.

Sometimes you may not make sss. Then then but what

do you do. You need to be stewards of that

promise and wait on the Lord later on, and you'll

come to fruition until the fulfillment happened. And that's our

job really to really take it on steward that until

the fulfillment. I mean, you say mission accomplishment and you

let go. And this is something that I've shared about

in the last time as well. You need to stop

asking for new promises until some of the old promises

are fulfilled, because otherwise, right, you're so much on your plate, right,

you can't finish it all. Right. For those of you

who manage people, these are line managers. We normally when

somebody hasn't completed or your team hasn't completed something, you

wouldn't power more tasks on them. It'd be very cruel management. Right.

But if you're supporting it, come and ask you for more,

then you also sort the wonder things are undone why

you're asking for more. So we need to really hold

on or be stewards or that promise until it comes

before we move on to something else. Okay, So this

is something to to share. So what is stewarding? What

is doardings doing? It's not just passive, it's actually uh

you know, uh, the dictionary definition is actually active processing

of nurturing. Okay, that's what stewarding is. You remember and

then you trust God's promises that has been made because

we know that the promises, once it's made, it will

come to fruition. It's just how or when, okay, but

it will come to past okay. So you need to

hang on to it and sometimes even though it may

seem dead, it's not dead yet, right, But you shouldn't

be the first one to say is dead. Otherwise, again,

your promise will not be fulfilled. So God can pick

it up anytime you need to. You need to just

hold on to it. Now, let's come back to the passage, okay,

so that everything ties in together. So Elisha, you know,

was angry because the king didn't recognize that there's power

in the promise that was made, the scripture that he

read earlier. Now, what's happening To give you some context. Now,

Elisha had the conversation the king. You know, he was

furious when he found out that the King didn't do

the simple things. You know, he just struck the ground

three times and then he stopped. So it's short of

completing the promise because of how he the king didn't

follow through the instructions in short. Now, just to give

you a bit of background why he was so furious, we've

read the word furious and angry there. Now Elijah right,

was the apprentice for Elijah. Okay, if you think of

like the Star Wars kind of think, there is the

Master Jedi and the what's the term, sorry, the Jedi yeah,

the Jedi idea, the the the young links, the one

in training. I don't know Peda one, that's right, Peda

one consulted you before that. Yeah, so he was like

the pedal one to Elijah. Okay, uh, to to so

so uh And you know the story of this. There

were lots of miracles that were promised to or that

that Elijah the Master has been given. And if you

if you like numbers, I'm a numbers guy, my engineer. Uh,

there's fourteen promises that were fulfilled in Elijah's time. Okay,

So when Elijah took over, it means he's become from

Pedo one to grand master equivalent. He asked God for

double portion of anointing, So double portion, if you again,

math wiser, double or fourteen promises is training eight promises? Okay,

that's what he asks for. He wants double Okay, And

at that junction or that particular time stamp or time

slice where he was about to die, he was twenty

seventh miracle or twenty seven promise fulfilled. So it's short

of one. So of course for us, right, you're like

the times running out, I have one more to fulfill

what God has promised me and I have around of time,

and in fact, he died at the twenty seventh promise.

So that's why he's so frustrated because in his mind,

this king, this joker, has actually caused me the fulfillment

of my promise. And if you read the thing, he

actually died. But later on we read that the promise

to fulfill even after death. And that's the power in

this story because it still came to fruition even after death,

but it just didn't happen in his lifetime. But this

to explain why he's furious. Okay, okay, let's move on.

So the next point is God promises never die, even

though we perish and move on. Okay, And sometimes we

may have forgotten it as well. And sometimes most of

the time is this the case that we forget we

forget about it. But there's no such thing as a

promise from God that dies. Some try to say, as

shown in this particular story as well, it's still fulfilled

even after this prophet's death. No circumstance can be so

bad that God's promise will not be fulfilled. No situation

is so terrible, no one is all that it cannot

be fulfilled. Sometimes he's like that, right, we short change

itself and say, oh, I wave past my expiry date.

You know, I can't do this anymore. Let the young

ones do it, et cetera. No, No, if it's not fulfilled,

you are still to do it, Okay, Sidney to no

mistakes you made. It's so great that the promise will

not be fulfilled. Okay, So I encourage you to really

hang on and be stewards of this. Whatever is promise,

you do not forget it. Okay. So elishah as we

I Shard earlier has no pals, but he still got

his trade eight miracle after that, and the miracle itself

was even more powerful than if it happened when he

was alive. Okay. So next slight, I put in this

very morbid photograph. Uh, there's power in God's promise. There's

power in the bones. Of course, in the real story,

there's only one set of bones of one human remains. Okay,

This one here is probably like some illustration of you know,

the Valley of Death. That's all the bones of dry

bones that that that passage. But it gets you know that,

you get the idea is just the mainges of you know,

there's still power in the bones. Okay, there is still power.

So you need to understand that this is the case.

So you're never too old to even go to school

if God tells you to go to school. Fun fact,

you know my wife till this day, we are quite

old by the way, we're like forty plus. I say,

oll like not more like pass ou or study da isla.

She still wants to become a nurse, So I say that, hey,

you know, go ahead and take out a nursing cause

if you want for her, it's a different motivation. She

has to go out and do the nursing thing and

missions and all that. But you're not too not too young,

not too old, sorry to do things like that. If

God puts it in your heart, go for it. So

she's still looking into it. It's still not even if

you have too much debt, it doesn't mean it can't

start a business. If God promises a business or adventure

for you, you're not too old to even find a

wife or to even have kids. You know, you know,

we say the famous Bible stories there the impossible happened, right,

So really, what I'm trying to say is that as

long as God calls you can, even if you're stuck

with addiction. With an addiction, it is when God calls

you to do something and God promises you something, it

will come to fruision. God can turn turn things around.

It's the short version of it. No matter what. Our

God is so powerful that we sung earlier right, power

belongs to him as we sung there as well. So

no excuses, because the moment you put excuses right, you're

almost inscribing in your own story, your own tombstone, what

it is you know ages. You always like to say

the word dialg the kind of thing right in whever language.

Sometimes we set ourselves to go on that path. Are

we declare death? But actually there's still life. God believes

in life. But why do we declare death right? Because

we know that there's no situations, situations so bad that

God cannot find a good in it. Because why, our

God is a good god right with some death as well.

And our God characterized he's always a finisher, right, something starts,

he starts something, he'll make sure it finishes. So we

need to be dead as well because we're called to

be Christ like. He's the alpha, So therefore I'm also

the alpha and also the omega, the beginning and the end. Right.

He says things in order. As long as you're faithful

to it, you will see it's full completion. Okay, So

there is still power in the bones. Okay, So turn

to neighbors and say, there's still power in the promise

that God has promised you. There's still power in the bones,

even though it seemed as though it did. I know

it's quite mouthful, but you get the idea. Okay, all right, cool,

I love this crowd. Man. Usually I fish in the

afternoon crowd and there's the post Nazi carbo lord crash,

so they are usually be quieter. So not just kidding,

just kidding, they go up after a while. Okay. Anyway,

let's stick back, okay. So in other words, God is

not done with you yet, So don't think that you're done.

Just allow God to release that power in you, because

there is power. Now back to the whole thing. Remember,

it's our responsibility to be God's to be stewards of

God's promise until fulfillment. So how do we, in the

practical sense stuard God's promise? Is probably the thing that

I wanted to cover today, and I just have three

short points and then we'll dismiss. Okay, now, so how

do we be steward of God's prophetic word to you? Okay?

Very three very simple, easy practical steps, and I'll I

unpacked a little bit based on the scripture step we've

read as well. So the first one is literally, ask

God to remind you. Now, I try to make all

the things tar with essys as why as all this?

I got my wife to help her. She's a bit

of a writer, writing hype person. So I used to

word next slide, uh, solicit and scribe. Okay, now it'll

come to you. But in simple English law, ask God

to remind you la, okay, but I tryed to feel

it s because we're talking about Stewart's right. So for

three essays, okay, first is solicit. Okay. Now, first one

comes to ask God to remind you. Now, we've got

this unique ability to remember things, but sometimes we have

this unique ability to remember things that may not matter

as much. I don't know why. I guess remember lyrics

or songs over thirty years ago, which is probably useless,

but I still remember them, and I can't remember till

this day, which days I'm supposed to get my son

to put on his pe unif pe gear because certain

days he has to put in pe to go to school.

And I've been doing this for weeks since Q one

of this year, and I still can't mess it up again.

It's strange. It's strange, okay. And and you know I can.

I can. I can tell you different stats of Formula,

and I like to watch Formula, and so I've had

their different stats that happened in twenty you know, twenty

twenty one or something like that. But I cannot sometimes

even cannot remember my dad's birthday, although it's very simple.

My dad was born on the fourth, Made the fourth,

so Star Wars date, okay, fourth fourth May okay. And

sometimes I forget, you know, things like that. You know,

so really ask or to remind you is probably what

I'm trying to say here, because why if you truly

believe in this promises, I say, it's given to you.

Sometimes we forget, right, so you need to ask God

to remind you again, because God never forgets. Okay. Uh.

I shared about the story earlier about the prophecy thing.

I had forgotten it. Then somebody came in my campus

life to remind me of that that that that promise

of of you know, having the ability to pray and heal.

Just to fast forward as well. In uh, when we

were serving in the afternoon service on Saturday, I had

somebody who's uh that I met at the hospital. Okay,

I will not name the person obviously, so to provide

some privacy here, I bummed in the person totally uh

not not not, I guess concidently because I was going

there for some medical check up. That person was actually

going there for a treatment of cancer. Okay, uh, And

I felt the prompting to pray for the person because

we bumped the person. And long story short, uh, the

person was she's a heel of cancer. In fact, till

this day, the person she's serving another plant. After we disbanded,

she moved another plant. She's still serving and she's still

cancer free. Okay. So again promise as a teen forgot

about it. Someone reminded me in campus days. I took

on that thing, and then you know, prayed about it

a bit more. And then when God not just you

just just do it again. Doesn't mean that, you know,

I go and start off this prairilly of praying for

a different one in cancer. No, no, I believe that

God has spoken, but maybe it's just sometime I need

to hone. But this is just me okay. But one

prid say is that God will always remind you. As

long as you are there standing and you you continue

to to to be stewards of it, God will fulfill it.

And for me, that's at least one promise complete Okay,

because why whatever promise was it complete? Luck to the

next time. Maybe there's more. I don't know, but that's

for me. Okay. Now let me go to scripture to

show you that God never forgets okay. Malachi thirteen Malachi

three sixteen, which is the famous verse that we usually

use when it comes to tieson offering. Okay, but I'm

gonna go a few verses before the typical words. Okay.

So we're gonna read from the NIV version of this

three sixteen. Okay. So it says the faithful remnant Okay,

that's the title. Then those who feared the Lord talked

with each other, and the Lord listened and heard. Okay,

this is the conversation. A scroll of remembrance was written. Okay.

Some versions use the word book of remembrance. Okay, so

you can look it up. What was written in his

presence concerning those who feared the Lord and honored his name.

Then seventeen on the day when I acted, says the Lord,

they will be my treasure possessions. I will spare them,

just as the Father has compassion and spares his son

who serves him. And you will again see the distinction

between the righteous and the wicked, and between those who

serve God and those who do not. Okay, so God

in this scripture keeps a record. He's a good record

keeping person. God, right, he keeps a scroll or sometimes

called the Book of Remembrance with the promises he has

for you if your name on it as well. Okay,

I don't know whether he's gone digitsu these days, probably

still not. You know, he's God, but we know for

a fact that he's quite good at keeping it. So

that's why I started off. A lady, say, why not

ask God? Who better person to ask for whatever is

archived or promises that I put already delivered? Then to

ask God who kept a record of it? You always

go back to the source, right, right, And God keeps

a record, So ask God. Of course He's recorded every

one of them, every one of them. You will never uh,

he'll never forget for sure, because that's what is written here,

written over here, So number one again, So ask God.

Ask God. He will take it out. And it's so

powerful when you actually ask God. Even if you have

a blank page, if you've forgotten it, you can rewrite

it again. Okay, and ask what's this about? You know

you put in my heart sometime back? What is it about? Okay?

You really need to and of course whatever God shares

with you, it may be promised to you know, about

a season that hasn't happened yet. It may be about

a calling that hasn't happened yet, a promise that hasn't

happened yet. You know, ask God. Ask That's why I

used to get solicit, you know, solicit, ask God for it.

And of course when you actually receive it, you hear

from God, what do you do right now? Why? Because

we forget very practical right all right? I remember right

when I was younger, I used to write things down

my hand and to remember things I don't know at

this generation because it's the pre phone tablet generation. So

in in in things down right, share a funny story

my son he's my younger son number two. He's very forgetful.

So normally we say things before we hit out to

school to say, okay, his name is Asher, all right er,

please remember to make a mental note of what to do,

what to bring, et cetera. So he does that to

the point that we got some times you go to

school and then he forgets something. The worst was he

forgets school back altogether reached school. I mean, how can

you forget school better? It's so physical. He forgets so

in mine that parents patients teach. Okay, So then we

did different things. You say, write down and they also cannot.

Then we actually put a whiteboard to help him write

down things, not just mental checklists, but a physical checklist

that he goes through. Uh. And it really is like,

I don't know. I told him my head last time

was just right out my hand. I remember to bring

things to school or whatever it is. But yeah, the

jokes aside right down, because otherwise you will forget even

the most obvious things, right, and that's how you you

you can then be good stewards of the promise. Otherwise

again we forgot the God again, Ray shie right, ask

God again, what is it? Anyway. Okay, Now, let's read

Hypocup Hippocup two. It says here, this is the NIV version.

Write down. The revelation couldn't be as clear as that.

Write down all right, and make it plain on tablets

so that a herald. Okay, if you click on that

a you know, sometimes you'll expand a bit so so

that whoever reads it may run with it. Okay. For

the revelation of Wits at the point of time, it

speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though

it lingered, wait for it, it will certainly come. It

will not delay. Okay. The message by book writes a

bit better, so I'm gonna read the message riper as well.

It says here, write this, write what you see right,

I highlight another word vision message and at the end

of the day it says that it will come right

on time. That's the promise. Okay. So really, I guess

if you're old like me, better than right down, because

I memory is failing me. But if you're young, fantastic.

But still, let's not take any chances. Let's write down

all the promises that God has for you, because you

never know, and that's part of stewarding. Stewarding is really

securing the promise that God has for you. And sometimes

you can be just as simple as writing down right.

Sometimes running now so helps to slow things down a

little bit. Right, So when God give you a fresh word,

let's be your stewards of it. Okay, everything, open the Bible.

That's a word, that's a promise. Right now, you see

the mirror, don't just look at yourself. See what God

has promised you right down as well. I used to

put things on my mirror last time, you know, the

old school days or those those days when we have

sticky notes. I put it on my desktop and I

put desktop. You know, I've changed my desktop and the

promises that the online desktop. Okay, your your computer desktop,

because that's how I remember. You stare it every day.

You will not forget it, okay, right, So some practical ways,

full lock screen, whatever works for you. Okay, you get

the idea because it increases your chance. As you see

it more, it reminds you of it more, and therefore

you pursue it more as well. Right, and then it

will come to reality or come to completion, come to fruition. Okay.

And because your heart is in it, you move in it. Okay.

Now second point, how much did they have? Wow? Second point,

remain steadfast. I use the word supplication and explain why

it's supplication because you need to remain steadfast in God's

promises and reclaim it true prayer, true prayer and supplication.

Okay again I'm forcing the es there. Okay. So how

do you reclaim it in prayer? Is to literally prayer? Okay.

Now you look at the story right that we read earlier.

You know where the raiders came. Okay, Now you're not

what raiders are, right right? Raders are not so good

people are They're not those police rate good people right now,

it's all those negative raiders Now they came. Now when

when when people or in simple words, they are thieves, okay,

a band of thieves. When thieves come, what do they

come and and steal treasures? Right? Something that is of value? Right? Not?

They won't pick up things that has no value? Lah?

Okay treasures? Okay, sorry? Say so When when, of course

we're talking more in the context of spirituality side of things.

They come, the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy again,

to steal first again. And the raiders are that representation

they came to steal. But they know that they cannot

steal God's promise for you because the promise is God's,

is in belongs to the Lord. But what can they steal? Sorry,

they can rob you off the power of that promise. Okay,

mean to say when I say power can be full

one hundred percent power that is forming the promise or

a portion of it. You know those things that talk

about before the doubt and insecurities and all that kind

of thing. You know, those those that robs you off

unleashing the full power. But we already say this earlier.

There's power even in the bones, right, but sometimes we

do not recognize that, and therefore the promise is not

the power we didn't probably not maximize, because is robbed

by these raiders. Okay, that's what they came to steal. Okay,

because why if we said earlier, God's promises never die,

can never die. So all they can do is rob

you of the power that can be found within the promise.

Or sometimes you shot change the promise itself because you

shot change the power. Hopefully that makes sense. Okay, Oops, Okay,

now we said this a little bit last time. Talk

about expectations as well. Sometimes God gives you a promise,

but the journey leading to it is what you didn't expect. Okay,

And because of that again you you, you complain, you murmur,

and then you don't, you don't do it, don't fulfill it.

And then again it's robbing it off the part because

why it will not come to frusion. Okay, again, check

out the MPTG. I don't know why promoting myself so

much today, but yeah, it's not meant to be. But

but yeah, I think it make more sense if you

actually dive into that. It really talks about not meeting

our expectations, at least from our perspective, and therefore sometimes

it's also withholding the power. And let's go to Galatians

six ' nine. Okay, it says, yeah, and let us

not grow very while doing good for in due season

a highlighted word due season, we shall reap if not

we do not sorry, if we shall reap, if we

do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunities, let

us do good to all, and especially to those who

are of the household faith. So two things on the

highlight here. The first keyword is due season, that means

it will happen, okay, because it says we shall reap

all right, it's a guaranteed fulfillment. So you must first

understand that promise will be completed or will be you'll

reap the promise, but the timing may be a bit different, right,

the approach may be a bit different, but the promise

will is guaranteed. So sometimes we do this, we disqualify ourselves.

Just what I used the word to do today. This

we discribe ourselves because why we focus on either our

shortcomings I mentioned a bit about that last time, or

we use our experiences, the things that we have so

much of that also sometimes can be our downfall. We

apply things that we do in business on this how

God should do it, you know, et cetera, et cetera.

And therefore, in a simplistic term, we are more self

focused or self we we we are more self centered

that we realize it's just right and we rely on

God to even see that promise come to fruition. Okay.

And that is a big track, okay. And that's how

the raiders or rather the you know, Satan or the

enemy is so very good in this. He uses the

subtle things to derailist. Okay, so you gotta be very careful.

It's not about you really, So regardless of your character,

your flaws, your mistakes, your lack even what you think, okay,

it's not so important. It's really what God things and

he cares about. Okay. So you need to fulfill the

promises that God has in store for you, even though

it may seem like it's you know, not not not

quite there. And then again ability a character and all that,

it's not yours anyway, It's God's promises. You are just

there to ensure that you know it happens. So don't

doubt because of circumstances. We sung earlier that our God

can move mountains. Easy to sing, right, but how you

practice it? You really got to believe in it. Even

the stution doesn't look right. I mentioned this, I look

to all I can still do this. To this day,

I still do whatever I can do. I still jump

as high ascn jump because I don't want to lose

on to my teen son. I'm skidding, but you get

the idea. You need to be young at heart as well. Right,

So you've got to start how you do this true prayer?

Pray every time every chance you get in the morning,

in the evening, while you drive, when you go to work,

when you walk the dog. Do that. That's how you

you know you have prayer and supplication working together because

you're reclaiming the promise true prayer, reclaiming, reclaiming, reclaiming, reclaiming,

and there's nothing you can do because then your faith

levelso goes up, not just faith in God's ability, but

your trust also goes up as you pray. And it's

a matter of time, like we said earlier, matter of

time before that is fulfilled. So all this tackles the

dangers of mispanish expectation, pride, and also dumb okay, okay, Last,

but not least, you need to persist until you receive it. Again,

I forced the word stubborn there. My wife helped me

out with this. So you need to be stubbornly persisting, okay,

And it wasn't that the essen the stubbornly persist until

you receive it. Okay, And stubborn sometimes is a very

negative word, but in this case you need to is

a positive sense. You will be so stubborn that you

will not give up. You will not you say no,

I will not let emotions get in a way. I

will still pursue until it happens. Now, lately we have

been watching all of sports, right, badminton and all that. Now,

if you know sports right, all right, if if you

lose the same badminton lies, Yeah, you lose the first set,

you normally had this pep top by the coach, right right,

the coach will come to you. What would the coach say, Ah,

you know, we've lost the first match. Give it sixty

percent and you'll win the next match. Is that what

the coach? No, may say, all right, what of course

say you give it one hundred percent, if not one

hundred and ten percent, so that you can, you know,

rise up from the situation and then win your second set. Right,

So this is what it is. You persist, you fight harder.

It feels like, you know, sometimes you always see the

giving up when we are on the losing side or

where when seemingly God is not there, But you persist

even more. Why hold on to that promise again? Previously

pray pray, pray, pray, pray, come here. You persist to

receive it. Right, No coach in the right mind would say, yeah,

you know, give sixty percent and you will be Okay,

push on, push on until you complete, push on until

you win. Okay. So if we can understand that in

the physical, right, what more, the same thing should be

applied when we approach it in the spiritual sense. Right.

Sometimes we know what to do in the physical, but

we do not do in spiritual sense. And you need

to do this as well. Right. Persist in the spirit

is what I'm trying to say here. Persist, persist, persist

until it boils over, you know, until you receive it. Okay.

And this, h this is where the faith portion comes in. Right,

you really have to hang in there. Again, this is

where your community as helps as well. And I'm just

gonna uh uh, gonna just end with this, uh, with

this simple thing. Now, we are three three parts, right, body, soul,

and spirit generally list of makeup. Right, So there are

three areas that we need to address ski for next night, yep. Okay,

So how do we stay in faith? Here's how you

do it. Worship is how we are to keep our

spirits in faith, Okay, Because worship actually focuses us on God,

direct us to God, and therefore our expectations are so

directed to expectation from the perspective of God. Okay, So again,

it's not a Sunday karaoke kind of thing. You know,

even when you're sing in the morning, right, it really helps.

It helps you focus. That's worship. It keeps your spirit

in check. So when you worship God for what he's done,

it's a form of gratitude. When you worship God for

what he's yet to do, is setting an expectation, right, Okay,

it's very powerful. You know. You speak the name of

Jesus in every situation though it may seem dead. And

this is the thing that you need to understand. Sometimes

we say that whatever we say, it's an expression of

what's happening up here in our mind. Right, And sometimes

we say God, our tongue, better not say negative things

because you know, than to say sorry, better not say

negative things, or very keep quiet than to say negative things.

It's probably not try and say hey, sorry. But it's

not just about the passive or the holding. But turn

that around. Speak positiveness, positiveness in the situation because you

need to, and that's how you can also overcome this. Right.

You need to proclaim, You need to proclaim of God's

going to today. I believe God, it's going to heal

this person today. God, it's an opportunity for me to

come back, rise up again, and to declare it. And

that's what it is really about, stewarding the promise by

proclaiming the promise over and over again. And that's so

one thing I had to say in this in life

of what we're doing this year. You know, when you

proclaim God's promises, that is so that all may know

all around you will also see and know. You need

to not be passive. You need to be active, all right.

So that's the that's the worship to keep our spirit

in faith. We proclaim to keep our emotions and mind

in check. And then the last one down there is

to what we said before, you need to step out.

That was my last message again promoting a more time,

but really our physical bodies. Sometimes the first step is

always the hardest, right, But you got to take that

first step, you know, like missions, right, Let's use missions

an example. Often when we get a challenge, it's hard

to go because we have not prepared for missions. I

want to get you to even sometimes do things a

bit differently, like you know, instead of oh I need

to figure out how am I going to get my

passport in order, et cetera to go to missions? Why

not plan earlier? Just prepare it even before missions is

available to you. We do all that for holidays. Why

can't we do that for missions? Right? And that's what

exactly it is. The first step you know you do

nowhere to go this fine, get ready for us, prepare yourself,

equip yourself right, get it all ready, and and once

you can just step up in faith. Okay, take that course.

You know it'll work out, and really just to some

help everything here. So it's a responsible to stewart God's

promise until it's fulfillment. And the three assys. In fact,

if you count the firsts of stewart, it's actually four

S's first is to solicit, second is supplication. So solicit

is really asking God to remind us really of the

promise over and over again. Two remain step fast in

God's promise and reclaim it in prayer and supplication. And lastly,

persists until you receive it. Okay, here's the thing. God

has made your promise. Don't forget that promise. There is

still if you didn't catch it earlier, there's still power

in the You know the story that the moment you

touch that bone rightoh, life comes, Life comes. The are

still powering me to understand and carry this and recognize

this power.
