You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Yeah.
-
Amount of October al really another three more months to Chinese?
-
A year?
-
Yeah, huh?
-
Okay, okay, Christmas is only one day, Chaney, It's just
-
around the corner.
-
Yeah.
-
So time does fly already go pass very quickly, whether
-
we like it or not. And I truly believe and
-
I do know that if we don't understand the times
-
we're living in, we will sort of miss out. If
-
you don't understand the times or seasons we are living
-
in right now, we will sort of miss out on
-
what God wants to do.
-
In our life.
-
And I truly believe that in the coming days God
-
wants to review more and more of himself to us
-
and help us understand our purposely on earth. We do
-
have a life spent here on earth. Sadly to say
-
this is the time to be born and the time
-
to be home with Jesus, Amen, and not as sometimes
-
we look at the passing, as you know, we grieve,
-
but yeah, the same time we rejoice. Is not the
-
length of time really, but it's understanding our purpose why
-
we are here on earth, Everyone of us have a purpose.
-
Everyone of us here have a reason why we're still
-
your life.
-
And I do believe that you know, as as long
-
as we journey with the Lord, God wants to reveal
-
his purpose in our life.
-
More and more in the coming days.
-
And the challenging part of our living here is that
-
although we want to follow the Lord, although we want
-
to desire to see more of him, there's always a
-
conflict between our flesh, meaning to say that our flesh
-
want to go the opposite way, our desire wants to
-
go the opposite way.
-
And we think that sort of.
-
The way we desire to live our life is better
-
than what God has it stuff us. And sometimes in
-
the short term of things, we think that's that is real,
-
But in the longer span of life you will find
-
that it's not that, not that true. For example, when
-
we were young, we let's let's use what passion. When
-
we are younger, we used to take passion as an expression,
-
meaning to say that jumping louder.
-
And stuff that is an expression of passion.
-
But as you begin to age, you find that your
-
cartilage is no longer there anymore, and you can't really
-
jump as higher as how you like to be. You
-
can't really shout as loud as you want to be.
-
But yet that doesn't mean that we got no passion.
-
That doesn't mean that we got no fire. That doesn't
-
mean that we are less expressive. It just means that
-
our passion, our giving, our best is expressed in a
-
way we live our life, meaning to say that, for example,
-
if your voice is slightly soft, thir than what it
-
used to be, but even in that.
-
Small voice, would you still give your best.
-
We may not be able to jump as how we
-
used to jump, but even then, as we transition with age,
-
where we still clap to the best of ability that
-
we could many times just because we are experiencing some
-
sort of either you know, I wanna say trauma or
-
some sort of a you know, aging process, right, I know,
-
majority of our younger but you'll get there one day.
-
But that doesn't mean that it's bad altogether. That doesn't
-
mean that, friends, it is because we have like challenges
-
in our physical body that we should give less. Where
-
I think give less, we need to say the way
-
we express our life. You could be twenty years old, friends,
-
but your spirit feels that you're sixty, which means to
-
say that by six, we feel like it's just sixty.
-
It just means to say that.
-
The way we look at things, the way we express
-
our life, the way we it will wake up in
-
the morning. How may you know that you could be
-
in your twenties, but some of you felt like you're
-
in your forties. That because the way you will life,
-
the way you see things, the way you just accept
-
and resigne the fact. This is my life, this is
-
who I am. And God has never intended for us
-
to remain that. He He wants us, even the age
-
of eighty, to look forward every day what he wants
-
to do in our life. He wants us to work.
-
But I wished ninety. I pray most eased about ninety. Right,
-
even though slightly on a walker, we can still live
-
our life. And the word is that with hope, with courage,
-
and not just saying that I am just waiting one
-
day God calls me home. Friends, I pray today that
-
you open your heart to hear what the Lord wants
-
to say. First Kings, Chapter eighteen, First Kings, Chapter eighteen.
-
We see how we're going to take this message.
-
To I think I got about one hour and fifteen
-
minutes to you all, really, I know here too, Strict Combangan.
-
It's only about fifteen minutes on me. So if I
-
ad earlier, I might go for breakfast. But I don't
-
think so I want to do that. I think last
-
time I left here, right, friends, I went to Strict
-
Combangan and they were just ending worship, and I thought myself,
-
here I spend more time with you all. So anyway,
-
First King, chapter eighteen, All right, First King chapter eighteen.
-
You know the story. Elijah was one.
-
Then it came to pass after many days, the word
-
of law came to Elijah in the in the thirty year, saying,
-
go present yourself to Ahem, I will send rain on
-
the earth.
-
Go present yourself to Ahef. I'll present rain on the earth.
-
Friends. Ahab also a good king. Ahab wife was a
-
crazy woman. So it's very important to know who you
-
get married to. Seriously, right now, I'm not saying women
-
are crazy. Men can be equally as crazy or even worse. Uh,
-
in Secure men are terrible. Seriously, I want to let
-
you know if secure men are terrible because everything they
-
do friends, it's you undersaid anyway, So a have friends.
-
Ahab was all good cake.
-
Now, how many of us here when we wake up
-
in the morning, the water come to you. Face some
-
of your challenges in your life. Face it with courage,
-
face it without fear. Face some of the obstacles you
-
have with bondus.
-
And many times we wake.
-
Up we want to hear the word of the Law
-
say to us that I'm your shepherd. We have in
-
the world of images, God leading us by steel waters,
-
God leading us green pastures. Those kind of it just
-
sells very well in the Christian world. But have you
-
seen a picture of God telling Elijah the face King
-
a help? And many times in our life and God
-
asked to do something, we rest so we said, Lord,
-
cannot be very hard. And many times why we don't
-
have break chooes because we always reveal our opposition. We
-
always review a heap through the physical answers. It is
-
hard and that's why it cannot be done. It is difficult.
-
That's what cannot be overcome.
-
It is terrible.
-
That's why I want to avoid if we are going
-
to continue to leave our Christian faith like that. Friends,
-
that's why a hep spirit will always rule over us,
-
even though we could be Christian worse. Two, Elijah ran
-
to present himself to a heap. There was a severe
-
famine in Samaria. Worse treat Obadaiah, who was in charge
-
of his house. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly. Come on,
-
fear the Lord greatly. The Bible here puts it. He's
-
a man who feared the Lord. But here it comes worse. Four,
-
For it was wow Jezebel messacre, the profits of the
-
Lord over dre have taken one hunger profits and hidden
-
them fifty to a cave and fed them with bread
-
and water. Here's a man that fear the Lord more
-
than fear the more than he feared men who actually
-
took it upon himself. God, I know you put me
-
here for a reason.
-
See.
-
Understanding our purpose in the midst of challenges is very
-
key because it gives you friends, it gives you life,
-
It gives you a direction, not just going to work
-
from Monday to Friday. And you know, sometimes going to
-
work from Monday to Friday is like the lion's den
-
situation whereby constantly I know you're tiptoeing, do not know
-
what to expect, do know what email God you receive,
-
do not know what your boss is going to say?
-
But you are constantly alert and aware of your surrounding,
-
because you may be devoured by your surroundings. But the
-
Bible here says that there is a proper There is
-
a man called Obadiah who feared the Lord. How many
-
if you don't even though you feared the Lord of friends,
-
even though you fear that you are not the word,
-
is that abxempted from serving? Am many Christians I know
-
when they pray this normal prayers.
-
Life is like that.
-
God, give me a good environment to work in, give
-
me a good company, give me a good environment to
-
be in. Sometimes the Lord do allow us to be
-
in a good environment.
-
But how many of you know?
-
If every Christian want to be in a good environment,
-
they'll be over population on one side. And many times,
-
God I have always placed it in a place where
-
by challenging environment. Friends challenging environment. And many times in
-
our life we say that I don't like this because
-
whatever I do there is opposition. Why why I do?
-
There's upstacles. I go to work this boss, so like me,
-
I go home. My spouse always agree with me. We
-
are always asking God, please change my spouse, please change this,
-
change my boss, change my environment. You see heaven our
-
prayer has been God changed my environment, and say, God
-
changed my heart to be able to overcome the environment.
-
First.
-
I'm not asking us to be an abusive working environment.
-
I'm not asking us to be.
-
In an abusive relationship. I'm asking us to have a
-
different lens so that when we see and say, Lord,
-
our the pray first.
-
How are the pray fast? Because I got to.
-
Feel you first more than fear men fret If you
-
are living in a cycle environment whereby your spouse is
-
coming you with a knife, please don't say God, I
-
know you're gonna protect me. She stepped me. I will
-
still live because you will resurrect me. Please, it's not
-
about that, you understand. That doesn't mean that The common
-
says when your life is being threatened, right ask you
-
to stay there. God, you resurrect me. It doesn't mean that.
-
What I'm trying to say is that God will always
-
put us in the place wherever you be challenged.
-
The challenge is these friends. Is that true?
-
In the midst of the trials, God wants to develop
-
in James Chautaua say he wants to develop us to
-
have perseverance. He wants to build character in the midst
-
of the challenge, he wants to reveal himself in due
-
to the of the air. The Bible says that when
-
God brought them through the wilderness, God wants to reveal
-
what's in their hearts and want to review his nature
-
to the children, it's only true the challenge you get
-
to know who God is.
-
It's only true.
-
That circumstances you get to know who God is. Friends,
-
very much in your life, friends, maybe much times in
-
our life we want a breakthrough. For example, you're in
-
the situation God give me a break truth, and God
-
delivers you to a breakthrough. But many times we failed
-
to know more about God in the midst of the
-
big True, it's so important for you and me to
-
understand God wants us to know him in the midst
-
of the challenge. Verse five, it said, over there, Now
-
go to the land of all the springs of water
-
and all the brooks. Perhaps we were fine grass, and
-
keep the horses and the meal alive, so that we
-
may not have to kill any live stock. Verse six,
-
They divided the land between them. Next woy went one
-
away by himself, and over there went another way. Now
-
over there verse seven was on his way Suddenly Elijah
-
appeared to him.
-
He recognized him. He fell in his face. Is this
-
my Is this you? My Lord? Elijah? And worth? Eight?
-
Then he said it is I go tell your master
-
Elijah is here the worse nine?
-
Very interesting?
-
How have I seen that you, Elijah, are delivering your
-
servants help to kill me? How if I sit here's
-
a very typical typical situation that everyone goes to one.
-
Just because I give my life doesn't mean I will
-
be exempted from financial challenges. Just because I came out
-
for a prayer for protection doesn't mean that I will
-
be exempted from the challenges. Just because I lift on
-
my hands and say, Holy, Holy, are you God? Doesn't
-
mean that I don't do with last issues. And many
-
times in our journey we are like Obadiah. God, Why
-
is it your server who greatly fear you?
-
Number one?
-
The Bible says over there, I fear the Lord number two.
-
In the midst of the persecution, ob dire help the believers.
-
I did all this word is the word of Lord.
-
Exist to earn brownie points with God, to earn points
-
with the Lord Lord. See I do all this? Therefore
-
can I be exempted? I did all this, can I
-
be excused? But God sees things even greater. The Bible
-
says that, but I said, have I sinned? How many
-
we know that even though you walk through the value
-
of the shadow of Dea, you shall not fear. And
-
in our journey, in our Christian walk, friends, I want
-
to let you know, the courage to live for God
-
is not just the courage in.
-
The house or in the room.
-
The courage to live for the Lord is right in
-
the midst, in the midst of all that you're doing,
-
in the midst of all that you're doing, In the
-
midst of all that you're doing, friends, in the midst
-
of all the challenges, in the midst of all your faithfulness,
-
all your faithfulness, all your faithfulness.
-
Friends, could you would you allow God to.
-
Bring you true You could be serving in a dream tingle,
-
But would you allow God to bring you to a
-
place where He can refine you even better? You see,
-
faithfulness doesn't examiner us from testings. Come on, Faithfulness doesn't
-
examine us for testing. We don't like testings because they'll
-
be inconvenient. We don't like to be corrected by the
-
Lord because there'll be changes. But over there, even though
-
it feared the Lord greit the great service for the
-
Kingdom of God. Yet the Bible says, Elijah, mock him out.
-
Now when you face king a heap. This is what
-
I wanted to say to us. As point number one.
-
I don't know that I've got a few points about
-
I'll just point number one. In our life, friends, if
-
we pick and choose how we live our life, we
-
won't face the spirit of our life. We pick and choose.
-
God knows that we pick and choose the standary we
-
can choose. God knows our hart one. Friends, we won't
-
choose things that's challenging, and we will choose things that's
-
like challenging but easy can oh come on, But when
-
you go to a form of disciple ship, Now when
-
you got when you commit yourself the discipleship process, God
-
will use someone to challenge us to face a spirit
-
that we do want to face. If I would ask
-
how I always can touch our toes, some you can
-
easily not a problem. Benny can not touch his touch
-
his toes and back those can Ah. You've seen benu
-
of or photograph m a photograph? All your photographs are
-
the surfing on my face work. I thought you turned
-
to go back into that anyway south of you could
-
touch your toes. Right, majority of us here can about
-
to reach out toes now, given the choice by year end,
-
I said, yeah, everyone in extras mustage the toes. Okay,
-
for example, right a challenge, everyone in charge mustache the
-
toes by year end. You say, elder, it is possible,
-
can be done, Cory, not because you know it can
-
be done. But the problem here is this the moment
-
we attend a few more times, and you know that
-
through a pro protracted time length, we get this courage demotivated,
-
and we just say that I wake up one tie,
-
do one type to cope? Really, week one tie, just
-
stretch one type enough really? But when you get a
-
personal trainer, come on, when you get a person, have
-
you seen a personal trainer say, oh, you can't touch it,
-
it is okay, try again tomorrow.
-
I have not seen any trader, oh.
-
You cannot touch it's okay, by the way, the state,
-
by the site that you can go and drink tea first, okay,
-
and come back later and try again. I have not
-
seen any personal trainer to say that it's all right.
-
I've seen most personal trainers. Yeah, come on, stop making excuses.
-
Come on, stop making a reason why you cannot do it.
-
I got a clique, I shall not name it. I
-
got a click who has a very bad back. She's
-
going to see a Cairo and the chiropracter told her
-
that you have to do or call exercises, call exercises,
-
call the apps and stuff like that. So I say that, okay,
-
she's only less than thirty. I really had the bad situation.
-
I say, you're less and thirty. You're not married yet.
-
Once you get married you get a ten ten ten
-
percent of your weight. Once you have a kid, you
-
get a twenty percent of your weight.
-
Right there.
-
You wish forty, you'll get at least thirty forty percent
-
of your weight right now if you're not careful, I'm sorry.
-
I'm not pitting any bleak picture here, right, but you
-
understand when when you get married, fairs, you cook, hope
-
you get you'll be eating a bit more than.
-
Than what you used to be. Right, But I did
-
I want to ask her.
-
I say, as your birthday present, I'm going to ask
-
you every day when they got y commas co exercises not.
-
She said, okay, thank you.
-
Eldire but I come wish the second man, I asked,
-
have you done your co exercises? Do it tomorrow? I
-
will do it tomorrow so you can do your co exercise.
-
Not I got I woke up one time. There's one.
-
You not. We make reasons why we.
-
Can't Come on, Come on, we make excuses why we
-
cannot do it at this are legitimate excuses, friends, And
-
I said, legitimate is in the human understanding is acceptable,
-
no time, no motivation normal, But God has always put
-
someone in our life. Come on to face the a hem.
-
Given the choice over there, we don't want to face
-
a heap to tell it. Heppen is here. Come on.
-
Some of our lives trends as we journey on. We
-
are supposed to do the things you're supposed to do,
-
but we avoid it. And that's why sometimes we got
-
no breakthrough in our life because the things you're supposed
-
to do we don't do.
-
Come on, the things you're supposed to do, we don't do. Friends.
-
We are working on every god the outside, except for
-
what's really important. And that's why after when your thirties,
-
where your forties, or even your live fifties, we get
-
the words that this illusion about everything because I thought,
-
attend church and they will be supposed to have transformation.
-
But we don't apply to it.
-
Friends, And that's why sometimes when God puts someone to
-
decide us, we don't like it because we don't want
-
to face a heap, possibility of losing his life, possibility
-
of being put in prison, to be found of. There
-
has been how we hungered over prophets of God. Come on,
-
what's the ahap in your life? They have you been avoiding?
-
What's the ahelp of your life that you've been skirting around?
-
You can't touch this lot, you don't, don't don't force
-
me to do this. Lord, What is the thing that
-
you find your life that you've been avoiding? Friends, God
-
wants to go deeper in our life. Friends, let me
-
go to worst uh twenty. Then it has said for
-
all the chuldren of Israel, and gathered the profits together
-
and mont Carmel, you know the story half of you And.
-
Verse twenty one.
-
They lighted came to other people and said how long
-
will you faltably the two opinions the Lord, If the
-
Lord is your God, follow him by bounce him following.
-
But the people ask him not the word God is
-
always into the discipleship process. The word is to mow us,
-
to shape us, to work on things frands that we
-
can't see, where we are fearful off we want to avoid,
-
to work on issues frands that's putting into our Christian
-
growth and our personal growth.
-
Most of us don't like to be told, but we
-
like to tell. Come on.
-
Most of us don't like to be told by, but
-
we like to tell others what to do. And that
-
is a form of pride. Come on, that is a
-
far pride. I want to tell you how you should
-
leave for life, but don't tell me how to I
-
actually leave my life, and God wants to do deeper
-
because help me.
-
If you know that, friends, pride is the beginning of downfall.
-
Come on.
-
So the Bible here says that elight to confronted everyone.
-
How long will you falter med? Two opinions? How long
-
will you be tossed and turned me d two opinions?
-
Friends?
-
Do you know it's really hard to live your life
-
if you're constantly adopting yourself, constantly adoubting yourself constantly. The
-
words is that if I could have you know, a
-
bias regret you buy something that you regret it. You
-
buy something that you regret it, you went out, you
-
go sure ran something else. There's always a regret. Friends,
-
It's very hard to leave your life.
-
You can't.
-
And God understands because if you're continually be tossed to
-
and fro like the like the wind in the ship
-
in the ocean, you're not prosper you'll not be established,
-
you're not grow friends, and God wants to do something
-
even greater and deeper in your life.
-
Friends. The Bible here.
-
Says that when Elijah ass nobody answer a word because
-
the spirit of Jezebel has kept everybody quiet. Don't stand out,
-
because if you stand out, I'll come. I'm come after you.
-
Don't say that the Lord is God, I will come
-
after you. And many times our Christian favorites we are
-
very loud in the church, but very soft where we
-
at home.
-
Very loud in church, but very soft at home.
-
I've heard parents coming up to us telling us, you know,
-
my son is very faithful in church, but carry back
-
at home. Don't even clean the room, don't even wash
-
the plates. Root to the family famous lives. Treat the
-
house like a hotel. Every parents about rather do not
-
know what which college she went through. But every parent
-
has just like, don't treat the house like your hotel,
-
come in and out like that. And many times in
-
our life if we are not careful friends, if you're
-
not careful, we are like the people tossing between two opinions.
-
In church, we are one kind, one type. At home
-
and work we're another time. In church we look and
-
we seem to be holy. But hold me wrestle and
-
God once. The word is to help us overcome that, friends,
-
to consolidate who we are, to help us to have
-
a shave of mindset. If we don't attend to the
-
cracks in our life, rest and be assured the cracks
-
will ultimately find us out. If you'll find us out,
-
because you cannot live with the crack in our life forever.
-
If there's a link in your house, you cannot pretend
-
and just put a pail there. They say it is
-
all right. It is small lick. A small lick will
-
develop into a big link. You know that it's okayler,
-
there's only one water stain, no problem, And we always know.
-
We do hope for the best, hope for the best. Yes,
-
I understand, And then you don't understand. You know it
-
takes money.
-
To repair correct, but at least find out what is
-
the cost.
-
And maybe and perhaps all is just is just to
-
shift your rooftower by ten degrees and you cower that whole.
-
But many times you don't even want to look at
-
the sauce. Why am I like that? So the Bible
-
here says that chun do not answer Elijah a word
-
see Jezebel, will quench, our courage, will dowse, our courage
-
to stand up, don't change.
-
You are still surviving. How many of you know the rest.
-
Of the people are still existing, surviving, but not driving.
-
We get by.
-
I really don't want to end my life by just
-
getting by because getting by, friends, this means that I
-
don't want to script to And God wants to put
-
things in the heart, to put courage in the hearts.
-
When Elijah call us fourth, when God calls you out
-
in your devotion, where God speaks to you inspire you,
-
would you stand and be counted Because I truly believe, friends,
-
God want to minister to hearts. But yet at the
-
same time, there is this challenge, and this the word
-
is wrestling of our hearts. I've done it before, though
-
I see no change. I've believed before I would see obstacles.
-
But the Bible, he says, is not about the obstacles strengths. Howe,
-
if you know, even if the people answer Elijah, I
-
believe in God, the prophet about is still there. I
-
believe in God. Jezebel is still there.
-
Friends.
-
There's one thing about living in the midst of the
-
presence of Jezebel. There's another thing that's living under his spirit.
-
You can be in the world, but not of this world.
-
Your mind has to be renewed in order for you
-
to unlock the challenges in front of you.
-
Our mind has to be renewed.
-
Friends, when there's a jezebe in front of your friends,
-
we are not supposed to be quiet, and they say, okay,
-
why was she decree I will leave it? Why would
-
she declare that's my life? And many times in our
-
journey is the same. You can't do this because you're
-
feed in the blanks. You cannot because you're like that.
-
I'm not.
-
This is not a motivational talk, friends, it's not. It's
-
the word of the love for us. Friends, because we
-
have to believe the coming days are going to be
-
more challenging, Well, we still have the faith God the
-
spite of everything, I still want to believe in the
-
coming days. Friends, sow of you, I challenge you go
-
for missions. Would you still go to check my even
-
though it's flooding? The team is right there and friends,
-
before they left, flooding happened, and you read the story first,
-
even the same animal sanctuary was flooded. Our team just
-
decided should we bring raincoats and and and waterproof years
-
if you're pasted it, watch she's always well prepared, bring
-
rain coats everything.
-
Let's go there, let's be of help.
-
We're not gonna let the flood situation over come of faith,
-
but we should overcome off the flood without faith. Who
-
said that we can't go there in the midst of disaster?
-
Next thing that there's a team of us going to
-
the power because we were inspiring passa plan came and
-
share the need in the power. But would you go there?
-
See?
-
God always presents us with the opportunity to overcome, like
-
for example, in this situation Marcamel right without Elijah, without
-
the confrontation, with confrontation of our spirit of the situation,
-
we can continue all with our lives friends like that
-
and accepting facts. Come on, but it takes a spirit
-
of Elijah to overcome Jezebel.
-
Come on.
-
In our life to be able to say that this
-
is my life. Doesn't belong to Jezebel. My life belongs
-
to the Lord. Come on, my life doesn't belong to Jezebel,
-
doesn't belong to Militia's economy, doesn't belong to the world economy.
-
My life belongs to the Lord. And therefore, why would
-
the Lord asks me to like? Why would the lot
-
puts on my heart even though there's a thread. I
-
shall not fear man, but fear the Lord. Come on,
-
I shall not fear man, but fear the Lord. If
-
you are to live our life, you need to live
-
our life this way. Courage, fairst not to fear men,
-
but fear God. You live your life like that. You
-
don't have to go around begging. You live your life
-
that you don't have to go on hoping and wishing
-
for connections to happen. God is the one that put
-
connect together their friends. God is the one that orchestrate
-
things together in our life. So the people I'll tell him,
-
not the word friends. I pray that in this room,
-
they'll be courage to say that. God, if you caught
-
me to, I will answer. If you ask me to,
-
I will stand. If you ask me to overcome the
-
spirit of Jezebel in my life, I will overcome.
-
The elighten. See the people. I'm alone left as the
-
profer of Lord.
-
But bow four hundred and fifty men, elighten one bow
-
four hundred and fifty.
-
How many times in.
-
Our life, friends, we are overcome by or just overcome
-
by numbers. I don't have, Lord, I want to change,
-
but I'm not as smart. I want to improve by
-
not as quick. I want to be transformed by I'm
-
not free in the blanks. And if you're not filled
-
with the spirit of God. Many times in our life
-
our top process has always been But Lord, you see
-
these numbers. But Lord, you see this? But Lord, don't
-
you understand who am I? My antic background, my education background,
-
my social back ground. Lord, don't you understand I grow
-
up in the abusive environment that my parents use.
-
Is coming stupid? I thought stupid was my English name.
-
You know what I mean?
-
If we grow up in the environment, whereby after we
-
become like the environment, you could be only one by
-
the Bible here says the purfer about four hundred and fifteet.
-
That doesn't mean, friends, that we should be afraid. You
-
could be the only believer in your house. That doesn't
-
mean that God cannot move and save your whole family.
-
The Bible says, as for me and my house, we
-
will serve the Lord. It starts with me, and your
-
whole household will come in. It starts with me and
-
your whole household. If we had to claim the scripture
-
of friends, So would you be like Elijah in the
-
midst of everything. You could be the only one, only
-
one in your organization, But we still have the whole
-
onto the truth of God. So I met up with
-
one of the retail managers of the shopping mall that
-
we are involved in, and she's in charge of the
-
whole Malaysia retail more under this company. And she's just
-
saying she's a believers there. You know we our church,
-
or rather her church. She'd been praying for believers to
-
be in the shopping mall, at least a church presence
-
in all the shopping mall that they manage. Then she
-
said to me, thank you so much for coming in here.
-
We know that this company don't really one believers or
-
rather like Christian thing.
-
We don't do this do Sunday in our place reserve.
-
We have a lot of other things as well as well.
-
But thank you so much for being here as a president,
-
as a witness, as a light into this whole more.
-
I'm not sure howmry of us here, even though you
-
could be only one, only one, but the presidence of
-
one makes a difference. But if you're not there, I'm
-
sure how many other people missus?
-
How many other people? Oh, you're not around anymore? I
-
don't know, Hu, I did you know?
-
You left your presence. Whether you're there or not there
-
doesn't make a difference. And God always wants to put
-
in the place to make a difference. That's why courage
-
is so key.
-
Friends.
-
When you have courage, God, I want to believe. Courage
-
to believe is courage to believe, courage to stand to
-
say no, to say no. God wants to do something
-
new in our hearts. Let me go all the way
-
down to worse twenty nine in the Midia has passing
-
it and they the proferse about properties until the time
-
of the offering the evening sacrifice.
-
There will no wars. No one gives attention.
-
The profose about worship until for four hours or six
-
hours of worship they say it was twenty eight cry
-
aloud to cut themselves as a customer in knives and lenses,
-
and the blood gosha from them.
-
I say a little on. God will always put people
-
in our life.
-
To disciple us, because he doesn't want us to remain
-
alone to where we are.
-
I say.
-
The second part is that courage to stand say God,
-
I want to stand for you, God, I want to
-
follow you. Courage to say I want to overcome the
-
Jezebel spirits of my life. I want to overcome the
-
field aheap in my life. What's what's tray? And that
-
reminds us that we worship God in spirit, not in
-
our flesh. See, the more we draw in our flesh,
-
the more we want things of the flesh, the more
-
we expect things of the flesh. And that's why the
-
challenge sometimes for Christians is more of God's spirit, less
-
of the flesh.
-
What do I mean by that?
-
If ever you find after a while you make demands,
-
and you make demands, you make requests in your own heart,
-
it should be done this way be very careful, be
-
very careful that you might learn out folding a flesh more.
-
Be very careful.
-
For example, when you saw more of the flesh, you
-
want more of the flesh shot. When you start on
-
the buffet line, friends, it takes a lot of restraining
-
to not to eat your money is worth. Have you
-
seen buffet line people restrain themselves. I have seen people
-
who actually lost your faith. At the Hagen Das ice
-
cream section. We should be to say they fight? Why
-
you think so long one self choose ice cream? Choosing
-
houses like that? If you know what I mean? They
-
take the time this decies not and they take it
-
in this cooked.
-
I came so slowly.
-
I see people argue before friends, I see Christian going
-
on the football field fighting. When you begin to so
-
mooint the flesh, you see things of the flesh. Think
-
about it for a moment. I wanted to be done
-
this way. I want to be done this way. The
-
Bible says a proper about cut themselves up. The more
-
you give yourself what happened one day? Friends, seriously, one day,
-
if you take worship what we know is a form
-
of worship, you go to our death service and brick fields,
-
everything changes. Can you still worship God? Can we be
-
still and do our devotion instead of being distracted? I
-
had to reach up on my handful just in case
-
God's texting me to Instagram.
-
I got to do this.
-
I'm saying all this because there's a caution out there,
-
because if you continute allow the flesh to dictate how
-
our worship to God is, then will ultimately see ourselves
-
sowing more into the area, more into the area, less
-
in the things of God. You just want more of
-
it on new friends, It's supposed to be done this way.
-
If you're not careful. Friends, after a while, we have
-
the form the Bible says of godliness but no power,
-
no power friends, the form of Christianity but no faith,
-
the firm the outlie of a shape but no substance insight.
-
How do you know that when you have an outline
-
but no substance, that you felt like you're being deceived?
-
Especially sometimes when you go to eat, you look at
-
the nice pictures, looks nice, tastes very different and many
-
times you don't like the experiences in it. And what
-
do you do when you experience that? It felt that
-
you can a cone or cheated and many times you're
-
not careful with ruin our own life. We may not
-
cheat others, but friends, our old spirit, you felt like
-
I'm not true to where I am. And that's why
-
God wants to do something deeper in our hearts in
-
our life. Friends, Let's let me go down to words thirty.
-
That's like you said, all the people come near to me,
-
and so all the people came near to him. Hey,
-
repair the author of the Lord that was broken down.
-
Come on, when we have courage, friends, when we have
-
courage to stand for God. We have to have courage
-
first of all, to repair your relationship with God. Come on,
-
to repair your relationship with God, repair the author. You
-
need to take time off to repair the author. Tem
-
Study Bibles at home doesn't mean you're a Christian. All
-
the access to every literally sure you could find doesn't
-
mean you're a believer. It starts with repairing the altar
-
according to God's word. That's why I want to encourage
-
believers to bring their own Bible to church, only because
-
that the Bible reminds us, reminds us of our purpose
-
or Sunday. Many times the old journey, we bring our
-
handful for everything else and it's convenience more than conviction,
-
relieve or precious by bad at home because it's heavy inconvenient.
-
But when you get inconvenient for the Lawd's sake, it
-
reminds you in your life there is a God. Only
-
one Sunday only, in fact, three hours of a Sunday.
-
Carrying a Bible reminds you sometimes in your journey there
-
is a God. If everything is a yes, then's sometimes
-
you wonder the Lord?
-
Where are you?
-
So the Bible? Here is it enlightened? Repair the altar
-
of friends. We need to get first thing correct, which
-
is our relationship with God? When when when was the
-
time you have invested in your time with God? Come on,
-
when was the time you told yourself that you actually
-
have time out with the Lord? Say say, Elder, I
-
have I have you know in the in the midst
-
of what I remember, God, I will one time. My
-
journey is this that in your daily life, in your
-
daily life, from the time you wake up the time
-
you sleep, in your daily life, which part of your
-
life reflex of your dependency.
-
In the Lord? Which part of your life.
-
Reflex on your dependency on God? And at the beginning
-
join it down Number one three times a day because
-
three meals give tanks for the food. Right check, that's
-
only three hours of the maximum. We are awake at
-
least for eleven hours or twelve living nine more hours.
-
So what do you do when you go to work?
-
What do you do before you enter a meeting hall
-
or before you go into a strategic planning situation?
-
What do you do when your face with the situation?
-
Is God still present in the way we leave our life?
-
Is God still evident in the way we decide? I'm
-
also a decision always be made in the flesh. I'm
-
not asking a friend too fast and to pray, but say, God,
-
I'm going for this meeting right now.
-
I need your wisdom. I really need your wisdom. God.
-
I'm tossing between two colors. Would you show to be
-
wish colors I need to select for this project. You
-
may not understanding, But friends, I want to encourage you.
-
The more we live our life like that you would
-
find in the coming days are going to give you
-
the peace and also the courage to make bold diseashes.
-
In your life.
-
It's true because sometimes in your life you think, oh God,
-
it's only house I wish. I don't need you Lord,
-
I can decide, but not true though, so you know
-
how you'll follow passed his house power porture of his house.
-
There was a bag porture that was left unattended for
-
almost like twelve years to thirteen years because of funds.
-
And God spoke to a pastor. And when you do
-
up the back of the house because it doesn't give
-
me glory, just to embark. Friends on the situation where
-
you don't even have in many times of our life
-
and we don't have, we still follow the Lord. So
-
repair your relationship with the Lord. It says in the
-
next party, lims here vers this is worse thirty and
-
go to worst eleven. They're enlightened to twelve stores according
-
to the number of the tribes of the Ads of Jacob,
-
whom the Lord, whom the word of the Lord has
-
come saying, is your shall be your name? And I
-
just took twelvestones Tielvestones, friends, according to the word of
-
the Lord. How important God's word is for us, friends,
-
How important God's word.
-
Is for us?
-
Every word I think it's I think it's second Timoty
-
if I'm not wrong, or uh secontivity was tree if
-
I'm not wrong. Friends, Verse sixteen, All scriptures given by
-
inspiration of God, pomfortable for doctrie, for improved correction, instruction,
-
or in righteousness. That the Man of God should be complete,
-
true equip for.
-
Every good word.
-
Come on, the Man of God should be complete throughout
-
equip for every good word. The Man of God should
-
be complete. The Man of God should be complete. If
-
we don't have God's word in our life, friends, we
-
are incomplete.
-
The word of the Lord has to be in us the.
-
Man and shall not leave a bird alone by every
-
word that puts it off from the mouth of God.
-
The friends, you and I.
-
In the coming days, there'll be so many challenges those
-
of a merriat to hold onto your marriage until the
-
Lord calls you home. To be fitful in your marriage.
-
It's not just words spoken at the altar. It's a
-
wedding well taken before God's presence. Temptations would come in
-
and we will tear couples apart. This is where we
-
need to stand and believe God. See many times our
-
journey our life, we just think, oh it got it's
-
only words, but words as power, friends, and that's why
-
we can declare that even though I mean pain I'm healed,
-
even though I mean pain.
-
I'm healed.
-
So Tree weeks ago had a very bad fall. And
-
when you're forty knife, having a bad four friends is
-
not nice. When you're eighteen, you fall, you can recover
-
very quickly, but when you're for the night you fall,
-
it's terrible.
-
I had a very bad fall.
-
In my mind, I imagine how I need to fall
-
to cushion my pain, to cushion my my injury. But
-
even as your mind thing that you fought a certain way,
-
but your body, because it's forty nine friends, it doesn't
-
rare x quickly. So I felt as I knocked the
-
this part of my shoulder onto a nice concrete flaw.
-
I felt the pain like what the pain used to
-
be when you crack your bond, when you fracture your bone.
-
You know, the sharp pain, the pain that just solve
-
caused you the blank of for one or two seconds,
-
that sharp I cain knew that something happened to my
-
board or something, but I did not attend to it
-
until three days later. My whole part of my right
-
hand shoulder was in dark blue or dark purple, and
-
my whole chance it was dark yellow. By the time
-
it's got to see a specialist. You say that you
-
fractured your a bit of your collar bone. There's a
-
there's a headline cracked there every day. But thank god
-
your master that next to your arm did not fully
-
get severed about tree or the torn really, so I
-
understand if your hundred percent tell your master here, your
-
whole arm will be useless really because there's no there's
-
no attachment of ligaments to your head. I was like saying, doctor,
-
what should I do? Should I put the sling?
-
Don't?
-
I got fearful in a friend, I'm very fearful of
-
breaking because I had a very bad accident when I
-
was fifteen.
-
That the bulls is not repaired properly. Well, do not
-
heal properly.
-
In fact, that causes my left hand to be the
-
word is not functioning one hundred percent. So my least
-
left and that I have right now functionally about sixty
-
seventy percent. Right, I say this fear about boom being
-
broken and this stuff like that, that sometimes the word
-
is healing doesn't come as what you think it's healing.
-
Isla that very friends, I didn't know how the word
-
is that changing. It was, But did you know that
-
when things happened on your shoulder, it is no fun
-
when you sleep. Every time you move, your master thinks aches.
-
So the first one week I felt like my whole
-
right hand set of my body get disconnected dislocated. Really,
-
that was like sleeping with a huge rotown behind your
-
back like that. Every time I move, I couldn't butter Now,
-
I couldn't take out my clothes. I just I felt
-
it taking by shower, so my left hand, I told
-
you sixty percent, what's sixth firends? I cannot even scratch
-
my back when I shower. I say, God, you must
-
have a funny sense of humor. Here, Lord, you know
-
my left hand is one condition. Really, please don't take
-
away my right hand. Please don't take away with my
-
right hand, because I really want to hear. This is
-
my only functioning hand that I have, my dominanh ham,
-
my functioning head. The only hand that I know that
-
I can. I can hold flat. So my left hand
-
cannot turn properly, but my right hand can hold flat. Say,
-
the only time my people give me cash, I can
-
it properly. If they give me on my left hand,
-
the money will fall off. So started on my journey,
-
this whole thing. I say, Lord.
-
Of all things, why the fall?
-
Right now? Why right now? You could have tested me
-
when I was eighteen. You know, first I can really
-
take pain. When I felt down when I was in
-
my teens, I was bleeding on my kneecap.
-
Me and my friends, we're just testing.
-
Out who can hold onto the who can words, who
-
can who can hold on and not cry in pain?
-
Under running water? So running water was going off. We
-
started to put vi nigger on the open wounds. They say,
-
come on, be a man. So me and my first
-
was just doing doing that, like okay, I'm sorry this this,
-
this is a excese of me. But me, my first
-
I fell from Mamutan tree before, cocaratre, before I fell
-
from climing up to the balcony of the house, fell
-
down before, and stuff like that. The staircase, I mean,
-
the leather fell at the back before survived all their friends.
-
But this fall is a bit different.
-
Because this four and forty nine friends felt I'm being
-
reminded how oh I am. The Bible says that Elijah
-
repair the altar according to God's word. My faith took
-
a beating the very day I felt I was iicing
-
my shoulder with eyes.
-
Question came to my mind.
-
You survive a heart attack already your left hand is
-
your left hand is almost like broken. To repair my
-
left hand is about because about a price of X fifty.
-
At the my boats into three.
-
Parts and putting one more part just to repair to
-
get it right. That was about ten years ago. Now
-
it should be closer to my hunger k to break
-
the three parts. I say, why if I don't repair
-
my hand, then your hand by the time you die,
-
your hand will not be straight. I says, nobody's going
-
to open the cascade and look and look at this person.
-
The hand is not straight.
-
I said, all right, I said, basically my boat is
-
going to grow, basically because in one hand I cannot
-
be straight.
-
Now I said, it's okay. I can live with it.
-
I can live with it. I told the doctor power
-
I will not. I say, God can of God twether
-
I'm going to close. When you go to situation, When
-
you go to a situation like that, life changing this situation,
-
wouldn't you question.
-
God? Why God? Why? Why Lord?
-
I mean, of all times, at the midst of like
-
house renovation, my wife had your infection. Now come me
-
having a shoulder, Say what why like that? Why this happened?
-
I'm not sure some of us here questions, But why
-
I said, Lord, being for the night, creaking moss no fun.
-
I couldn't imagine sixty if you bring your Moses, it's
-
even not fun at all.
-
But the Bible just reminds you. Reminds me again.
-
That even though I walk through the value of shadow,
-
of defaction, not fear. Come on, when VIC two, God's word,
-
he reassure me I still have a future and a hope.
-
Come on, it's not over yet. You may, you may
-
seems like you are drowning like Peter, but you're not
-
gonna be overcome by the waves of disappointment.
-
I'm not sure how many of words here read the
-
word of the Lord.
-
Say God, I'm the lowest point of my life. The
-
Bible says that Elijah was facing a femine in the
-
time that requires water be poetry times. Some of us
-
see you when God challenges God, you don't understand having
-
experiences of femine, of courage, of famine, of encouragement of famine.
-
Nobody encourages you. You're all by yourself. I've always sitting down,
-
I tell you them. I think I was more hurt
-
by the not hurt no one, disappointed by the people.
-
Calling me uncle. You okay?
-
Not I reached the stage people calling That's how I
-
used to me. Brother, you're okay now I'm Are you
-
all right?
-
I said?
-
I am still quite young. I think for the United
-
it s you okay, don't call me uncle yet? Right,
-
young kids that I saw you for, I'm okay. I'm like,
-
I could have died because of the embarrassment of friends.
-
If you know I'm I say, some of God, we
-
have this embarrassment in our life, like can't This is
-
how I'm gonna end? So God reminds me again I
-
am his child. Come on, you are God's child. You
-
could be the only one, like Elijah, having to rebuild
-
the author occorrding to the world of God. Right, you
-
could be the only one. Friends, you could be the
-
only one. But would you take courage You're not alone?
-
Come on, would you take courage that you're not alone?
-
Right now, I got another three more weeks before I
-
can move back to my house to stay with my wife.
-
Me and my wife.
-
Separated by location. I'm staying with my dad, My wife
-
is staying with her mom, her family, you know her.
-
And this extra us.
-
So it's about close to three months coming out of
-
three months. Why we can't stay together because our house
-
is not fitted properly to have two people stay in
-
the same room by my love, my dad's house and
-
her house. So I'm staying with my dad. My dad
-
is by himself after two years. My mom passed away
-
two years ago, so I really wanted to spend time
-
with my dad. Asian that typicalation that who doesn't really
-
talk a lot on friends, if you know what I mean,
-
He's always there. So when I when I was young
-
growing up with my dad, he hardly speaks. The only
-
time he speaks is I had to go to remind
-
to ask me to improve you understand the environment. So
-
I say, Dad, you know, I say, I say, I
-
was praying. I says, I was telling my dad, Dad,
-
I'm going to come and stay with you.
-
Come. I moved quickly to his house, so every time
-
I go back afterwards.
-
For the past two and a half months, I got
-
two ministries. One to minister to my wife because it's
-
not fun when you're living off a suitcase. For ladies,
-
it's not fun leaving off from suitcase even though she's
-
the paris of a home. But it's not exactly your home.
-
You've got no you've got no study table. You understand
-
what I'm trying to say. You need a place to unwind, right,
-
you understand that for me, one, I can adapt anywhere I.
-
Know, I share with you.
-
I will stay until I realized that my dad at
-
the back there got a pet red There was a
-
red at the back there. I discover a red pull
-
on my bait or so before. So for guys, we
-
can I can rush it out, can rough it out,
-
clean up everything. But he said, I say, Dad, and
-
we'll come into the place to stay. So every night
-
I missed it with my wife. The character's gonna be
-
all right, just a few more weeks.
-
We will get to this.
-
We're gonna move back because the house was badly in
-
need of repairs and renovation, badly after fourteen years of staying,
-
had a hugely huge crack everything. So somethime my wife
-
will break down because like I think, he's so long
-
something we can we ourselves can bring up, Because God,
-
why so long?
-
Love famine? Really? How long you want to test me?
-
One? Week, really one month? Really two months? Really love famine?
-
How long God test someone else? So many of the
-
Christians say that, oh God came to for a test
-
them again.
-
To know that has really full after you.
-
But sometime my wife is okay, like you know strong,
-
sometimes like when how long after dropping my wife back
-
to place in trust?
-
I go back to my house and put choke at ten.
-
I will talk to my dad almost every night when
-
I get a chance to, for one and a half hours.
-
One and a half hours.
-
First, I keep you know, for the past two months,
-
but I have conversation my dad. I calculated in terms
-
of timer more than my thirty years of my life
-
staving my dad.
-
Conversation.
-
We talk of politics or property, don't know, so you
-
just try to talk something. And then challenging part this is
-
that my dad has early stages of memory loss. So
-
every story he either repeats to you two or three
-
times in the day or in a week with the
-
same okay, you know, same sequence, same sequence of things happened,
-
same emotion. But I look at my dad, I say
-
that it's okay, you told me before. I don't remind him.
-
But when I rush it there you told me before.
-
We came fast forward it so my Dad's okay. Sometimes
-
I tried to be a very good actor. I like,
-
like listening for the very first time. Oh is it
-
tell me a bit more? I know my assignment with
-
my dad. It's going to come to the end. I
-
know my dad not very long here. My dad is
-
a bypass patient and large heart doctor toym.
-
May just enjoy your life, mister Wong. I'm going to
-
spend time with him because I got to know this
-
sell of him.
-
He doesn't really know I work because I'm like, ever
-
since I had the full time almost like secrets of reasons,
-
I don't really tell.
-
That what I'm doing.
-
He always thinks full time is always reading the newspaper
-
at work, like nothing to do on So I told
-
my dad that she got things to do, only to
-
found out only to his amazement for what I have
-
to do at work. Although he doesn't really s I
-
know that it's quite proud. Sometimes you just want Dad,
-
this is a proud of you, right, But I know
-
his own way is trying to say that as a
-
close First, I wanted to encourage you, but you wouldn't
-
allow the family to dictate how you live your life.
-
He may be law and courage you, it doesn't mean
-
you can't give encouragement. Come on, she may be law
-
on courage, doesn't mean you can't be courageous. Come on,
-
she may be law on something. Finances doesn't mean you
-
can't be generous in your own way. Come on, I'm
-
not scared to get to debt. But you understand trying
-
to say. You may be TI in time no time
-
because of assignment, commitments and stuff like that, but that
-
doesn't mean that you cannot afford to give time to
-
the Lord.
-
So I'm not sure what.
-
Femine that you're going through right now in your life,
-
in your in your in your in your situation. But
-
I want to encourage your friends. Like what Elijah did
-
friends he rebuilt. He rebuilt friends based on the world
-
of God. That you and I are friends in our
-
own life. As I close, which you rebuild your life,
-
say God, you must have a purpose of MEANWI, I'm
-
still here. You must have a purpose of me and
-
why I'm still here. I'm not here just to prove
-
my point. I'm not here to show that I'm smarter.
-
I'm here because I want to show people about your
-
faithfulness of your goodness. How to tell people how much
-
you love me, how much you love my family. I
-
want to tell people how much you care for us. Friends,
-
I want to encourage you. Don't let the spirit of
-
Jezebel on aheap to cost you to be quiet, to
-
cause you to be like, just accept it to cause
-
you to conform, whereas whereas God asks you to be transformed.
-
Don't look at handling taking care of your aging parents
-
as a child, even though you don't have a good upbringing.
-
Say Lord, I may be low impatience, but I want
-
to sew in patience.
-
I was sold to have patience. Lord.
