  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts Church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Yeah.

  4. Amount of October al really another three more months to Chinese?

  5. A year?

  6. Yeah, huh?

  7. Okay, okay, Christmas is only one day, Chaney, It's just

  8. around the corner.

  9. Yeah.

  10. So time does fly already go pass very quickly, whether

  11. we like it or not. And I truly believe and

  12. I do know that if we don't understand the times

  13. we're living in, we will sort of miss out. If

  14. you don't understand the times or seasons we are living

  15. in right now, we will sort of miss out on

  16. what God wants to do.

  17. In our life.

  18. And I truly believe that in the coming days God

  19. wants to review more and more of himself to us

  20. and help us understand our purposely on earth. We do

  21. have a life spent here on earth. Sadly to say

  22. this is the time to be born and the time

  23. to be home with Jesus, Amen, and not as sometimes

  24. we look at the passing, as you know, we grieve,

  25. but yeah, the same time we rejoice. Is not the

  26. length of time really, but it's understanding our purpose why

  27. we are here on earth, Everyone of us have a purpose.

  28. Everyone of us here have a reason why we're still

  29. your life.

  30. And I do believe that you know, as as long

  31. as we journey with the Lord, God wants to reveal

  32. his purpose in our life.

  33. More and more in the coming days.

  34. And the challenging part of our living here is that

  35. although we want to follow the Lord, although we want

  36. to desire to see more of him, there's always a

  37. conflict between our flesh, meaning to say that our flesh

  38. want to go the opposite way, our desire wants to

  39. go the opposite way.

  40. And we think that sort of.

  41. The way we desire to live our life is better

  42. than what God has it stuff us. And sometimes in

  43. the short term of things, we think that's that is real,

  44. But in the longer span of life you will find

  45. that it's not that, not that true. For example, when

  46. we were young, we let's let's use what passion. When

  47. we are younger, we used to take passion as an expression,

  48. meaning to say that jumping louder.

  49. And stuff that is an expression of passion.

  50. But as you begin to age, you find that your

  51. cartilage is no longer there anymore, and you can't really

  52. jump as higher as how you like to be. You

  53. can't really shout as loud as you want to be.

  54. But yet that doesn't mean that we got no passion.

  55. That doesn't mean that we got no fire. That doesn't

  56. mean that we are less expressive. It just means that

  57. our passion, our giving, our best is expressed in a

  58. way we live our life, meaning to say that, for example,

  59. if your voice is slightly soft, thir than what it

  60. used to be, but even in that.

  61. Small voice, would you still give your best.

  62. We may not be able to jump as how we

  63. used to jump, but even then, as we transition with age,

  64. where we still clap to the best of ability that

  65. we could many times just because we are experiencing some

  66. sort of either you know, I wanna say trauma or

  67. some sort of a you know, aging process, right, I know,

  68. majority of our younger but you'll get there one day.

  69. But that doesn't mean that it's bad altogether. That doesn't

  70. mean that, friends, it is because we have like challenges

  71. in our physical body that we should give less. Where

  72. I think give less, we need to say the way

  73. we express our life. You could be twenty years old, friends,

  74. but your spirit feels that you're sixty, which means to

  75. say that by six, we feel like it's just sixty.

  76. It just means to say that.

  77. The way we look at things, the way we express

  78. our life, the way we it will wake up in

  79. the morning. How may you know that you could be

  80. in your twenties, but some of you felt like you're

  81. in your forties. That because the way you will life,

  82. the way you see things, the way you just accept

  83. and resigne the fact. This is my life, this is

  84. who I am. And God has never intended for us

  85. to remain that. He He wants us, even the age

  86. of eighty, to look forward every day what he wants

  87. to do in our life. He wants us to work.

  88. But I wished ninety. I pray most eased about ninety. Right,

  89. even though slightly on a walker, we can still live

  90. our life. And the word is that with hope, with courage,

  91. and not just saying that I am just waiting one

  92. day God calls me home. Friends, I pray today that

  93. you open your heart to hear what the Lord wants

  94. to say. First Kings, Chapter eighteen, First Kings, Chapter eighteen.

  95. We see how we're going to take this message.

  96. To I think I got about one hour and fifteen

  97. minutes to you all, really, I know here too, Strict Combangan.

  98. It's only about fifteen minutes on me. So if I

  99. ad earlier, I might go for breakfast. But I don't

  100. think so I want to do that. I think last

  101. time I left here, right, friends, I went to Strict

  102. Combangan and they were just ending worship, and I thought myself,

  103. here I spend more time with you all. So anyway,

  104. First King, chapter eighteen, All right, First King chapter eighteen.

  105. You know the story. Elijah was one.

  106. Then it came to pass after many days, the word

  107. of law came to Elijah in the in the thirty year, saying,

  108. go present yourself to Ahem, I will send rain on

  109. the earth.

  110. Go present yourself to Ahef. I'll present rain on the earth.

  111. Friends. Ahab also a good king. Ahab wife was a

  112. crazy woman. So it's very important to know who you

  113. get married to. Seriously, right now, I'm not saying women

  114. are crazy. Men can be equally as crazy or even worse. Uh,

  115. in Secure men are terrible. Seriously, I want to let

  116. you know if secure men are terrible because everything they

  117. do friends, it's you undersaid anyway, So a have friends.

  118. Ahab was all good cake.

  119. Now, how many of us here when we wake up

  120. in the morning, the water come to you. Face some

  121. of your challenges in your life. Face it with courage,

  122. face it without fear. Face some of the obstacles you

  123. have with bondus.

  124. And many times we wake.

  125. Up we want to hear the word of the Law

  126. say to us that I'm your shepherd. We have in

  127. the world of images, God leading us by steel waters,

  128. God leading us green pastures. Those kind of it just

  129. sells very well in the Christian world. But have you

  130. seen a picture of God telling Elijah the face King

  131. a help? And many times in our life and God

  132. asked to do something, we rest so we said, Lord,

  133. cannot be very hard. And many times why we don't

  134. have break chooes because we always reveal our opposition. We

  135. always review a heap through the physical answers. It is

  136. hard and that's why it cannot be done. It is difficult.

  137. That's what cannot be overcome.

  138. It is terrible.

  139. That's why I want to avoid if we are going

  140. to continue to leave our Christian faith like that. Friends,

  141. that's why a hep spirit will always rule over us,

  142. even though we could be Christian worse. Two, Elijah ran

  143. to present himself to a heap. There was a severe

  144. famine in Samaria. Worse treat Obadaiah, who was in charge

  145. of his house. Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly. Come on,

  146. fear the Lord greatly. The Bible here puts it. He's

  147. a man who feared the Lord. But here it comes worse. Four,

  148. For it was wow Jezebel messacre, the profits of the

  149. Lord over dre have taken one hunger profits and hidden

  150. them fifty to a cave and fed them with bread

  151. and water. Here's a man that fear the Lord more

  152. than fear the more than he feared men who actually

  153. took it upon himself. God, I know you put me

  154. here for a reason.

  155. See.

  156. Understanding our purpose in the midst of challenges is very

  157. key because it gives you friends, it gives you life,

  158. It gives you a direction, not just going to work

  159. from Monday to Friday. And you know, sometimes going to

  160. work from Monday to Friday is like the lion's den

  161. situation whereby constantly I know you're tiptoeing, do not know

  162. what to expect, do know what email God you receive,

  163. do not know what your boss is going to say?

  164. But you are constantly alert and aware of your surrounding,

  165. because you may be devoured by your surroundings. But the

  166. Bible here says that there is a proper There is

  167. a man called Obadiah who feared the Lord. How many

  168. if you don't even though you feared the Lord of friends,

  169. even though you fear that you are not the word,

  170. is that abxempted from serving? Am many Christians I know

  171. when they pray this normal prayers.

  172. Life is like that.

  173. God, give me a good environment to work in, give

  174. me a good company, give me a good environment to

  175. be in. Sometimes the Lord do allow us to be

  176. in a good environment.

  177. But how many of you know?

  178. If every Christian want to be in a good environment,

  179. they'll be over population on one side. And many times,

  180. God I have always placed it in a place where

  181. by challenging environment. Friends challenging environment. And many times in

  182. our life we say that I don't like this because

  183. whatever I do there is opposition. Why why I do?

  184. There's upstacles. I go to work this boss, so like me,

  185. I go home. My spouse always agree with me. We

  186. are always asking God, please change my spouse, please change this,

  187. change my boss, change my environment. You see heaven our

  188. prayer has been God changed my environment, and say, God

  189. changed my heart to be able to overcome the environment.

  190. First.

  191. I'm not asking us to be an abusive working environment.

  192. I'm not asking us to be.

  193. In an abusive relationship. I'm asking us to have a

  194. different lens so that when we see and say, Lord,

  195. our the pray first.

  196. How are the pray fast? Because I got to.

  197. Feel you first more than fear men fret If you

  198. are living in a cycle environment whereby your spouse is

  199. coming you with a knife, please don't say God, I

  200. know you're gonna protect me. She stepped me. I will

  201. still live because you will resurrect me. Please, it's not

  202. about that, you understand. That doesn't mean that The common

  203. says when your life is being threatened, right ask you

  204. to stay there. God, you resurrect me. It doesn't mean that.

  205. What I'm trying to say is that God will always

  206. put us in the place wherever you be challenged.

  207. The challenge is these friends. Is that true?

  208. In the midst of the trials, God wants to develop

  209. in James Chautaua say he wants to develop us to

  210. have perseverance. He wants to build character in the midst

  211. of the challenge, he wants to reveal himself in due

  212. to the of the air. The Bible says that when

  213. God brought them through the wilderness, God wants to reveal

  214. what's in their hearts and want to review his nature

  215. to the children, it's only true the challenge you get

  216. to know who God is.

  217. It's only true.

  218. That circumstances you get to know who God is. Friends,

  219. very much in your life, friends, maybe much times in

  220. our life we want a breakthrough. For example, you're in

  221. the situation God give me a break truth, and God

  222. delivers you to a breakthrough. But many times we failed

  223. to know more about God in the midst of the

  224. big True, it's so important for you and me to

  225. understand God wants us to know him in the midst

  226. of the challenge. Verse five, it said, over there, Now

  227. go to the land of all the springs of water

  228. and all the brooks. Perhaps we were fine grass, and

  229. keep the horses and the meal alive, so that we

  230. may not have to kill any live stock. Verse six,

  231. They divided the land between them. Next woy went one

  232. away by himself, and over there went another way. Now

  233. over there verse seven was on his way Suddenly Elijah

  234. appeared to him.

  235. He recognized him. He fell in his face. Is this

  236. my Is this you? My Lord? Elijah? And worth? Eight?

  237. Then he said it is I go tell your master

  238. Elijah is here the worse nine?

  239. Very interesting?

  240. How have I seen that you, Elijah, are delivering your

  241. servants help to kill me? How if I sit here's

  242. a very typical typical situation that everyone goes to one.

  243. Just because I give my life doesn't mean I will

  244. be exempted from financial challenges. Just because I came out

  245. for a prayer for protection doesn't mean that I will

  246. be exempted from the challenges. Just because I lift on

  247. my hands and say, Holy, Holy, are you God? Doesn't

  248. mean that I don't do with last issues. And many

  249. times in our journey we are like Obadiah. God, Why

  250. is it your server who greatly fear you?

  251. Number one?

  252. The Bible says over there, I fear the Lord number two.

  253. In the midst of the persecution, ob dire help the believers.

  254. I did all this word is the word of Lord.

  255. Exist to earn brownie points with God, to earn points

  256. with the Lord Lord. See I do all this? Therefore

  257. can I be exempted? I did all this, can I

  258. be excused? But God sees things even greater. The Bible

  259. says that, but I said, have I sinned? How many

  260. we know that even though you walk through the value

  261. of the shadow of Dea, you shall not fear. And

  262. in our journey, in our Christian walk, friends, I want

  263. to let you know, the courage to live for God

  264. is not just the courage in.

  265. The house or in the room.

  266. The courage to live for the Lord is right in

  267. the midst, in the midst of all that you're doing,

  268. in the midst of all that you're doing, In the

  269. midst of all that you're doing, friends, in the midst

  270. of all the challenges, in the midst of all your faithfulness,

  271. all your faithfulness, all your faithfulness.

  272. Friends, could you would you allow God to.

  273. Bring you true You could be serving in a dream tingle,

  274. But would you allow God to bring you to a

  275. place where He can refine you even better? You see,

  276. faithfulness doesn't examiner us from testings. Come on, Faithfulness doesn't

  277. examine us for testing. We don't like testings because they'll

  278. be inconvenient. We don't like to be corrected by the

  279. Lord because there'll be changes. But over there, even though

  280. it feared the Lord greit the great service for the

  281. Kingdom of God. Yet the Bible says, Elijah, mock him out.

  282. Now when you face king a heap. This is what

  283. I wanted to say to us. As point number one.

  284. I don't know that I've got a few points about

  285. I'll just point number one. In our life, friends, if

  286. we pick and choose how we live our life, we

  287. won't face the spirit of our life. We pick and choose.

  288. God knows that we pick and choose the standary we

  289. can choose. God knows our hart one. Friends, we won't

  290. choose things that's challenging, and we will choose things that's

  291. like challenging but easy can oh come on, But when

  292. you go to a form of disciple ship, Now when

  293. you got when you commit yourself the discipleship process, God

  294. will use someone to challenge us to face a spirit

  295. that we do want to face. If I would ask

  296. how I always can touch our toes, some you can

  297. easily not a problem. Benny can not touch his touch

  298. his toes and back those can Ah. You've seen benu

  299. of or photograph m a photograph? All your photographs are

  300. the surfing on my face work. I thought you turned

  301. to go back into that anyway south of you could

  302. touch your toes. Right, majority of us here can about

  303. to reach out toes now, given the choice by year end,

  304. I said, yeah, everyone in extras mustage the toes. Okay,

  305. for example, right a challenge, everyone in charge mustache the

  306. toes by year end. You say, elder, it is possible,

  307. can be done, Cory, not because you know it can

  308. be done. But the problem here is this the moment

  309. we attend a few more times, and you know that

  310. through a pro protracted time length, we get this courage demotivated,

  311. and we just say that I wake up one tie,

  312. do one type to cope? Really, week one tie, just

  313. stretch one type enough really? But when you get a

  314. personal trainer, come on, when you get a person, have

  315. you seen a personal trainer say, oh, you can't touch it,

  316. it is okay, try again tomorrow.

  317. I have not seen any trader, oh.

  318. You cannot touch it's okay, by the way, the state,

  319. by the site that you can go and drink tea first, okay,

  320. and come back later and try again. I have not

  321. seen any personal trainer to say that it's all right.

  322. I've seen most personal trainers. Yeah, come on, stop making excuses.

  323. Come on, stop making a reason why you cannot do it.

  324. I got a clique, I shall not name it. I

  325. got a click who has a very bad back. She's

  326. going to see a Cairo and the chiropracter told her

  327. that you have to do or call exercises, call exercises,

  328. call the apps and stuff like that. So I say that, okay,

  329. she's only less than thirty. I really had the bad situation.

  330. I say, you're less and thirty. You're not married yet.

  331. Once you get married you get a ten ten ten

  332. percent of your weight. Once you have a kid, you

  333. get a twenty percent of your weight.

  334. Right there.

  335. You wish forty, you'll get at least thirty forty percent

  336. of your weight right now if you're not careful, I'm sorry.

  337. I'm not pitting any bleak picture here, right, but you

  338. understand when when you get married, fairs, you cook, hope

  339. you get you'll be eating a bit more than.

  340. Than what you used to be. Right, But I did

  341. I want to ask her.

  342. I say, as your birthday present, I'm going to ask

  343. you every day when they got y commas co exercises not.

  344. She said, okay, thank you.

  345. Eldire but I come wish the second man, I asked,

  346. have you done your co exercises? Do it tomorrow? I

  347. will do it tomorrow so you can do your co exercise.

  348. Not I got I woke up one time. There's one.

  349. You not. We make reasons why we.

  350. Can't Come on, Come on, we make excuses why we

  351. cannot do it at this are legitimate excuses, friends, And

  352. I said, legitimate is in the human understanding is acceptable,

  353. no time, no motivation normal, But God has always put

  354. someone in our life. Come on to face the a hem.

  355. Given the choice over there, we don't want to face

  356. a heap to tell it. Heppen is here. Come on.

  357. Some of our lives trends as we journey on. We

  358. are supposed to do the things you're supposed to do,

  359. but we avoid it. And that's why sometimes we got

  360. no breakthrough in our life because the things you're supposed

  361. to do we don't do.

  362. Come on, the things you're supposed to do, we don't do. Friends.

  363. We are working on every god the outside, except for

  364. what's really important. And that's why after when your thirties,

  365. where your forties, or even your live fifties, we get

  366. the words that this illusion about everything because I thought,

  367. attend church and they will be supposed to have transformation.

  368. But we don't apply to it.

  369. Friends, And that's why sometimes when God puts someone to

  370. decide us, we don't like it because we don't want

  371. to face a heap, possibility of losing his life, possibility

  372. of being put in prison, to be found of. There

  373. has been how we hungered over prophets of God. Come on,

  374. what's the ahap in your life? They have you been avoiding?

  375. What's the ahelp of your life that you've been skirting around?

  376. You can't touch this lot, you don't, don't don't force

  377. me to do this. Lord, What is the thing that

  378. you find your life that you've been avoiding? Friends, God

  379. wants to go deeper in our life. Friends, let me

  380. go to worst uh twenty. Then it has said for

  381. all the chuldren of Israel, and gathered the profits together

  382. and mont Carmel, you know the story half of you And.

  383. Verse twenty one.

  384. They lighted came to other people and said how long

  385. will you faltably the two opinions the Lord, If the

  386. Lord is your God, follow him by bounce him following.

  387. But the people ask him not the word God is

  388. always into the discipleship process. The word is to mow us,

  389. to shape us, to work on things frands that we

  390. can't see, where we are fearful off we want to avoid,

  391. to work on issues frands that's putting into our Christian

  392. growth and our personal growth.

  393. Most of us don't like to be told, but we

  394. like to tell. Come on.

  395. Most of us don't like to be told by, but

  396. we like to tell others what to do. And that

  397. is a form of pride. Come on, that is a

  398. far pride. I want to tell you how you should

  399. leave for life, but don't tell me how to I

  400. actually leave my life, and God wants to do deeper

  401. because help me.

  402. If you know that, friends, pride is the beginning of downfall.

  403. Come on.

  404. So the Bible here says that elight to confronted everyone.

  405. How long will you falter med? Two opinions? How long

  406. will you be tossed and turned me d two opinions?

  407. Friends?

  408. Do you know it's really hard to live your life

  409. if you're constantly adopting yourself, constantly adoubting yourself constantly. The

  410. words is that if I could have you know, a

  411. bias regret you buy something that you regret it. You

  412. buy something that you regret it, you went out, you

  413. go sure ran something else. There's always a regret. Friends,

  414. It's very hard to leave your life.

  415. You can't.

  416. And God understands because if you're continually be tossed to

  417. and fro like the like the wind in the ship

  418. in the ocean, you're not prosper you'll not be established,

  419. you're not grow friends, and God wants to do something

  420. even greater and deeper in your life.

  421. Friends. The Bible here.

  422. Says that when Elijah ass nobody answer a word because

  423. the spirit of Jezebel has kept everybody quiet. Don't stand out,

  424. because if you stand out, I'll come. I'm come after you.

  425. Don't say that the Lord is God, I will come

  426. after you. And many times our Christian favorites we are

  427. very loud in the church, but very soft where we

  428. at home.

  429. Very loud in church, but very soft at home.

  430. I've heard parents coming up to us telling us, you know,

  431. my son is very faithful in church, but carry back

  432. at home. Don't even clean the room, don't even wash

  433. the plates. Root to the family famous lives. Treat the

  434. house like a hotel. Every parents about rather do not

  435. know what which college she went through. But every parent

  436. has just like, don't treat the house like your hotel,

  437. come in and out like that. And many times in

  438. our life if we are not careful friends, if you're

  439. not careful, we are like the people tossing between two opinions.

  440. In church, we are one kind, one type. At home

  441. and work we're another time. In church we look and

  442. we seem to be holy. But hold me wrestle and

  443. God once. The word is to help us overcome that, friends,

  444. to consolidate who we are, to help us to have

  445. a shave of mindset. If we don't attend to the

  446. cracks in our life, rest and be assured the cracks

  447. will ultimately find us out. If you'll find us out,

  448. because you cannot live with the crack in our life forever.

  449. If there's a link in your house, you cannot pretend

  450. and just put a pail there. They say it is

  451. all right. It is small lick. A small lick will

  452. develop into a big link. You know that it's okayler,

  453. there's only one water stain, no problem, And we always know.

  454. We do hope for the best, hope for the best. Yes,

  455. I understand, And then you don't understand. You know it

  456. takes money.

  457. To repair correct, but at least find out what is

  458. the cost.

  459. And maybe and perhaps all is just is just to

  460. shift your rooftower by ten degrees and you cower that whole.

  461. But many times you don't even want to look at

  462. the sauce. Why am I like that? So the Bible

  463. here says that chun do not answer Elijah a word

  464. see Jezebel, will quench, our courage, will dowse, our courage

  465. to stand up, don't change.

  466. You are still surviving. How many of you know the rest.

  467. Of the people are still existing, surviving, but not driving.

  468. We get by.

  469. I really don't want to end my life by just

  470. getting by because getting by, friends, this means that I

  471. don't want to script to And God wants to put

  472. things in the heart, to put courage in the hearts.

  473. When Elijah call us fourth, when God calls you out

  474. in your devotion, where God speaks to you inspire you,

  475. would you stand and be counted Because I truly believe, friends,

  476. God want to minister to hearts. But yet at the

  477. same time, there is this challenge, and this the word

  478. is wrestling of our hearts. I've done it before, though

  479. I see no change. I've believed before I would see obstacles.

  480. But the Bible, he says, is not about the obstacles strengths. Howe,

  481. if you know, even if the people answer Elijah, I

  482. believe in God, the prophet about is still there. I

  483. believe in God. Jezebel is still there.

  484. Friends.

  485. There's one thing about living in the midst of the

  486. presence of Jezebel. There's another thing that's living under his spirit.

  487. You can be in the world, but not of this world.

  488. Your mind has to be renewed in order for you

  489. to unlock the challenges in front of you.

  490. Our mind has to be renewed.

  491. Friends, when there's a jezebe in front of your friends,

  492. we are not supposed to be quiet, and they say, okay,

  493. why was she decree I will leave it? Why would

  494. she declare that's my life? And many times in our

  495. journey is the same. You can't do this because you're

  496. feed in the blanks. You cannot because you're like that.

  497. I'm not.

  498. This is not a motivational talk, friends, it's not. It's

  499. the word of the love for us. Friends, because we

  500. have to believe the coming days are going to be

  501. more challenging, Well, we still have the faith God the

  502. spite of everything, I still want to believe in the

  503. coming days. Friends, sow of you, I challenge you go

  504. for missions. Would you still go to check my even

  505. though it's flooding? The team is right there and friends,

  506. before they left, flooding happened, and you read the story first,

  507. even the same animal sanctuary was flooded. Our team just

  508. decided should we bring raincoats and and and waterproof years

  509. if you're pasted it, watch she's always well prepared, bring

  510. rain coats everything.

  511. Let's go there, let's be of help.

  512. We're not gonna let the flood situation over come of faith,

  513. but we should overcome off the flood without faith. Who

  514. said that we can't go there in the midst of disaster?

  515. Next thing that there's a team of us going to

  516. the power because we were inspiring passa plan came and

  517. share the need in the power. But would you go there?

  518. See?

  519. God always presents us with the opportunity to overcome, like

  520. for example, in this situation Marcamel right without Elijah, without

  521. the confrontation, with confrontation of our spirit of the situation,

  522. we can continue all with our lives friends like that

  523. and accepting facts. Come on, but it takes a spirit

  524. of Elijah to overcome Jezebel.

  525. Come on.

  526. In our life to be able to say that this

  527. is my life. Doesn't belong to Jezebel. My life belongs

  528. to the Lord. Come on, my life doesn't belong to Jezebel,

  529. doesn't belong to Militia's economy, doesn't belong to the world economy.

  530. My life belongs to the Lord. And therefore, why would

  531. the Lord asks me to like? Why would the lot

  532. puts on my heart even though there's a thread. I

  533. shall not fear man, but fear the Lord. Come on,

  534. I shall not fear man, but fear the Lord. If

  535. you are to live our life, you need to live

  536. our life this way. Courage, fairst not to fear men,

  537. but fear God. You live your life like that. You

  538. don't have to go around begging. You live your life

  539. that you don't have to go on hoping and wishing

  540. for connections to happen. God is the one that put

  541. connect together their friends. God is the one that orchestrate

  542. things together in our life. So the people I'll tell him,

  543. not the word friends. I pray that in this room,

  544. they'll be courage to say that. God, if you caught

  545. me to, I will answer. If you ask me to,

  546. I will stand. If you ask me to overcome the

  547. spirit of Jezebel in my life, I will overcome.

  548. The elighten. See the people. I'm alone left as the

  549. profer of Lord.

  550. But bow four hundred and fifty men, elighten one bow

  551. four hundred and fifty.

  552. How many times in.

  553. Our life, friends, we are overcome by or just overcome

  554. by numbers. I don't have, Lord, I want to change,

  555. but I'm not as smart. I want to improve by

  556. not as quick. I want to be transformed by I'm

  557. not free in the blanks. And if you're not filled

  558. with the spirit of God. Many times in our life

  559. our top process has always been But Lord, you see

  560. these numbers. But Lord, you see this? But Lord, don't

  561. you understand who am I? My antic background, my education background,

  562. my social back ground. Lord, don't you understand I grow

  563. up in the abusive environment that my parents use.

  564. Is coming stupid? I thought stupid was my English name.

  565. You know what I mean?

  566. If we grow up in the environment, whereby after we

  567. become like the environment, you could be only one by

  568. the Bible here says the purfer about four hundred and fifteet.

  569. That doesn't mean, friends, that we should be afraid. You

  570. could be the only believer in your house. That doesn't

  571. mean that God cannot move and save your whole family.

  572. The Bible says, as for me and my house, we

  573. will serve the Lord. It starts with me, and your

  574. whole household will come in. It starts with me and

  575. your whole household. If we had to claim the scripture

  576. of friends, So would you be like Elijah in the

  577. midst of everything. You could be the only one, only

  578. one in your organization, But we still have the whole

  579. onto the truth of God. So I met up with

  580. one of the retail managers of the shopping mall that

  581. we are involved in, and she's in charge of the

  582. whole Malaysia retail more under this company. And she's just

  583. saying she's a believers there. You know we our church,

  584. or rather her church. She'd been praying for believers to

  585. be in the shopping mall, at least a church presence

  586. in all the shopping mall that they manage. Then she

  587. said to me, thank you so much for coming in here.

  588. We know that this company don't really one believers or

  589. rather like Christian thing.

  590. We don't do this do Sunday in our place reserve.

  591. We have a lot of other things as well as well.

  592. But thank you so much for being here as a president,

  593. as a witness, as a light into this whole more.

  594. I'm not sure howmry of us here, even though you

  595. could be only one, only one, but the presidence of

  596. one makes a difference. But if you're not there, I'm

  597. sure how many other people missus?

  598. How many other people? Oh, you're not around anymore? I

  599. don't know, Hu, I did you know?

  600. You left your presence. Whether you're there or not there

  601. doesn't make a difference. And God always wants to put

  602. in the place to make a difference. That's why courage

  603. is so key.

  604. Friends.

  605. When you have courage, God, I want to believe. Courage

  606. to believe is courage to believe, courage to stand to

  607. say no, to say no. God wants to do something

  608. new in our hearts. Let me go all the way

  609. down to worse twenty nine in the Midia has passing

  610. it and they the proferse about properties until the time

  611. of the offering the evening sacrifice.

  612. There will no wars. No one gives attention.

  613. The profose about worship until for four hours or six

  614. hours of worship they say it was twenty eight cry

  615. aloud to cut themselves as a customer in knives and lenses,

  616. and the blood gosha from them.

  617. I say a little on. God will always put people

  618. in our life.

  619. To disciple us, because he doesn't want us to remain

  620. alone to where we are.

  621. I say.

  622. The second part is that courage to stand say God,

  623. I want to stand for you, God, I want to

  624. follow you. Courage to say I want to overcome the

  625. Jezebel spirits of my life. I want to overcome the

  626. field aheap in my life. What's what's tray? And that

  627. reminds us that we worship God in spirit, not in

  628. our flesh. See, the more we draw in our flesh,

  629. the more we want things of the flesh, the more

  630. we expect things of the flesh. And that's why the

  631. challenge sometimes for Christians is more of God's spirit, less

  632. of the flesh.

  633. What do I mean by that?

  634. If ever you find after a while you make demands,

  635. and you make demands, you make requests in your own heart,

  636. it should be done this way be very careful, be

  637. very careful that you might learn out folding a flesh more.

  638. Be very careful.

  639. For example, when you saw more of the flesh, you

  640. want more of the flesh shot. When you start on

  641. the buffet line, friends, it takes a lot of restraining

  642. to not to eat your money is worth. Have you

  643. seen buffet line people restrain themselves. I have seen people

  644. who actually lost your faith. At the Hagen Das ice

  645. cream section. We should be to say they fight? Why

  646. you think so long one self choose ice cream? Choosing

  647. houses like that? If you know what I mean? They

  648. take the time this decies not and they take it

  649. in this cooked.

  650. I came so slowly.

  651. I see people argue before friends, I see Christian going

  652. on the football field fighting. When you begin to so

  653. mooint the flesh, you see things of the flesh. Think

  654. about it for a moment. I wanted to be done

  655. this way. I want to be done this way. The

  656. Bible says a proper about cut themselves up. The more

  657. you give yourself what happened one day? Friends, seriously, one day,

  658. if you take worship what we know is a form

  659. of worship, you go to our death service and brick fields,

  660. everything changes. Can you still worship God? Can we be

  661. still and do our devotion instead of being distracted? I

  662. had to reach up on my handful just in case

  663. God's texting me to Instagram.

  664. I got to do this.

  665. I'm saying all this because there's a caution out there,

  666. because if you continute allow the flesh to dictate how

  667. our worship to God is, then will ultimately see ourselves

  668. sowing more into the area, more into the area, less

  669. in the things of God. You just want more of

  670. it on new friends, It's supposed to be done this way.

  671. If you're not careful. Friends, after a while, we have

  672. the form the Bible says of godliness but no power,

  673. no power friends, the form of Christianity but no faith,

  674. the firm the outlie of a shape but no substance insight.

  675. How do you know that when you have an outline

  676. but no substance, that you felt like you're being deceived?

  677. Especially sometimes when you go to eat, you look at

  678. the nice pictures, looks nice, tastes very different and many

  679. times you don't like the experiences in it. And what

  680. do you do when you experience that? It felt that

  681. you can a cone or cheated and many times you're

  682. not careful with ruin our own life. We may not

  683. cheat others, but friends, our old spirit, you felt like

  684. I'm not true to where I am. And that's why

  685. God wants to do something deeper in our hearts in

  686. our life. Friends, Let's let me go down to words thirty.

  687. That's like you said, all the people come near to me,

  688. and so all the people came near to him. Hey,

  689. repair the author of the Lord that was broken down.

  690. Come on, when we have courage, friends, when we have

  691. courage to stand for God. We have to have courage

  692. first of all, to repair your relationship with God. Come on,

  693. to repair your relationship with God, repair the author. You

  694. need to take time off to repair the author. Tem

  695. Study Bibles at home doesn't mean you're a Christian. All

  696. the access to every literally sure you could find doesn't

  697. mean you're a believer. It starts with repairing the altar

  698. according to God's word. That's why I want to encourage

  699. believers to bring their own Bible to church, only because

  700. that the Bible reminds us, reminds us of our purpose

  701. or Sunday. Many times the old journey, we bring our

  702. handful for everything else and it's convenience more than conviction,

  703. relieve or precious by bad at home because it's heavy inconvenient.

  704. But when you get inconvenient for the Lawd's sake, it

  705. reminds you in your life there is a God. Only

  706. one Sunday only, in fact, three hours of a Sunday.

  707. Carrying a Bible reminds you sometimes in your journey there

  708. is a God. If everything is a yes, then's sometimes

  709. you wonder the Lord?

  710. Where are you?

  711. So the Bible? Here is it enlightened? Repair the altar

  712. of friends. We need to get first thing correct, which

  713. is our relationship with God? When when when was the

  714. time you have invested in your time with God? Come on,

  715. when was the time you told yourself that you actually

  716. have time out with the Lord? Say say, Elder, I

  717. have I have you know in the in the midst

  718. of what I remember, God, I will one time. My

  719. journey is this that in your daily life, in your

  720. daily life, from the time you wake up the time

  721. you sleep, in your daily life, which part of your

  722. life reflex of your dependency.

  723. In the Lord? Which part of your life.

  724. Reflex on your dependency on God? And at the beginning

  725. join it down Number one three times a day because

  726. three meals give tanks for the food. Right check, that's

  727. only three hours of the maximum. We are awake at

  728. least for eleven hours or twelve living nine more hours.

  729. So what do you do when you go to work?

  730. What do you do before you enter a meeting hall

  731. or before you go into a strategic planning situation?

  732. What do you do when your face with the situation?

  733. Is God still present in the way we leave our life?

  734. Is God still evident in the way we decide? I'm

  735. also a decision always be made in the flesh. I'm

  736. not asking a friend too fast and to pray, but say, God,

  737. I'm going for this meeting right now.

  738. I need your wisdom. I really need your wisdom. God.

  739. I'm tossing between two colors. Would you show to be

  740. wish colors I need to select for this project. You

  741. may not understanding, But friends, I want to encourage you.

  742. The more we live our life like that you would

  743. find in the coming days are going to give you

  744. the peace and also the courage to make bold diseashes.

  745. In your life.

  746. It's true because sometimes in your life you think, oh God,

  747. it's only house I wish. I don't need you Lord,

  748. I can decide, but not true though, so you know

  749. how you'll follow passed his house power porture of his house.

  750. There was a bag porture that was left unattended for

  751. almost like twelve years to thirteen years because of funds.

  752. And God spoke to a pastor. And when you do

  753. up the back of the house because it doesn't give

  754. me glory, just to embark. Friends on the situation where

  755. you don't even have in many times of our life

  756. and we don't have, we still follow the Lord. So

  757. repair your relationship with the Lord. It says in the

  758. next party, lims here vers this is worse thirty and

  759. go to worst eleven. They're enlightened to twelve stores according

  760. to the number of the tribes of the Ads of Jacob,

  761. whom the Lord, whom the word of the Lord has

  762. come saying, is your shall be your name? And I

  763. just took twelvestones Tielvestones, friends, according to the word of

  764. the Lord. How important God's word is for us, friends,

  765. How important God's word.

  766. Is for us?

  767. Every word I think it's I think it's second Timoty

  768. if I'm not wrong, or uh secontivity was tree if

  769. I'm not wrong. Friends, Verse sixteen, All scriptures given by

  770. inspiration of God, pomfortable for doctrie, for improved correction, instruction,

  771. or in righteousness. That the Man of God should be complete,

  772. true equip for.

  773. Every good word.

  774. Come on, the Man of God should be complete throughout

  775. equip for every good word. The Man of God should

  776. be complete. The Man of God should be complete. If

  777. we don't have God's word in our life, friends, we

  778. are incomplete.

  779. The word of the Lord has to be in us the.

  780. Man and shall not leave a bird alone by every

  781. word that puts it off from the mouth of God.

  782. The friends, you and I.

  783. In the coming days, there'll be so many challenges those

  784. of a merriat to hold onto your marriage until the

  785. Lord calls you home. To be fitful in your marriage.

  786. It's not just words spoken at the altar. It's a

  787. wedding well taken before God's presence. Temptations would come in

  788. and we will tear couples apart. This is where we

  789. need to stand and believe God. See many times our

  790. journey our life, we just think, oh it got it's

  791. only words, but words as power, friends, and that's why

  792. we can declare that even though I mean pain I'm healed,

  793. even though I mean pain.

  794. I'm healed.

  795. So Tree weeks ago had a very bad fall. And

  796. when you're forty knife, having a bad four friends is

  797. not nice. When you're eighteen, you fall, you can recover

  798. very quickly, but when you're for the night you fall,

  799. it's terrible.

  800. I had a very bad fall.

  801. In my mind, I imagine how I need to fall

  802. to cushion my pain, to cushion my my injury. But

  803. even as your mind thing that you fought a certain way,

  804. but your body, because it's forty nine friends, it doesn't

  805. rare x quickly. So I felt as I knocked the

  806. this part of my shoulder onto a nice concrete flaw.

  807. I felt the pain like what the pain used to

  808. be when you crack your bond, when you fracture your bone.

  809. You know, the sharp pain, the pain that just solve

  810. caused you the blank of for one or two seconds,

  811. that sharp I cain knew that something happened to my

  812. board or something, but I did not attend to it

  813. until three days later. My whole part of my right

  814. hand shoulder was in dark blue or dark purple, and

  815. my whole chance it was dark yellow. By the time

  816. it's got to see a specialist. You say that you

  817. fractured your a bit of your collar bone. There's a

  818. there's a headline cracked there every day. But thank god

  819. your master that next to your arm did not fully

  820. get severed about tree or the torn really, so I

  821. understand if your hundred percent tell your master here, your

  822. whole arm will be useless really because there's no there's

  823. no attachment of ligaments to your head. I was like saying, doctor,

  824. what should I do? Should I put the sling?

  825. Don't?

  826. I got fearful in a friend, I'm very fearful of

  827. breaking because I had a very bad accident when I

  828. was fifteen.

  829. That the bulls is not repaired properly. Well, do not

  830. heal properly.

  831. In fact, that causes my left hand to be the

  832. word is not functioning one hundred percent. So my least

  833. left and that I have right now functionally about sixty

  834. seventy percent. Right, I say this fear about boom being

  835. broken and this stuff like that, that sometimes the word

  836. is healing doesn't come as what you think it's healing.

  837. Isla that very friends, I didn't know how the word

  838. is that changing. It was, But did you know that

  839. when things happened on your shoulder, it is no fun

  840. when you sleep. Every time you move, your master thinks aches.

  841. So the first one week I felt like my whole

  842. right hand set of my body get disconnected dislocated. Really,

  843. that was like sleeping with a huge rotown behind your

  844. back like that. Every time I move, I couldn't butter Now,

  845. I couldn't take out my clothes. I just I felt

  846. it taking by shower, so my left hand, I told

  847. you sixty percent, what's sixth firends? I cannot even scratch

  848. my back when I shower. I say, God, you must

  849. have a funny sense of humor. Here, Lord, you know

  850. my left hand is one condition. Really, please don't take

  851. away my right hand. Please don't take away with my

  852. right hand, because I really want to hear. This is

  853. my only functioning hand that I have, my dominanh ham,

  854. my functioning head. The only hand that I know that

  855. I can. I can hold flat. So my left hand

  856. cannot turn properly, but my right hand can hold flat. Say,

  857. the only time my people give me cash, I can

  858. it properly. If they give me on my left hand,

  859. the money will fall off. So started on my journey,

  860. this whole thing. I say, Lord.

  861. Of all things, why the fall?

  862. Right now? Why right now? You could have tested me

  863. when I was eighteen. You know, first I can really

  864. take pain. When I felt down when I was in

  865. my teens, I was bleeding on my kneecap.

  866. Me and my friends, we're just testing.

  867. Out who can hold onto the who can words, who

  868. can who can hold on and not cry in pain?

  869. Under running water? So running water was going off. We

  870. started to put vi nigger on the open wounds. They say,

  871. come on, be a man. So me and my first

  872. was just doing doing that, like okay, I'm sorry this this,

  873. this is a excese of me. But me, my first

  874. I fell from Mamutan tree before, cocaratre, before I fell

  875. from climing up to the balcony of the house, fell

  876. down before, and stuff like that. The staircase, I mean,

  877. the leather fell at the back before survived all their friends.

  878. But this fall is a bit different.

  879. Because this four and forty nine friends felt I'm being

  880. reminded how oh I am. The Bible says that Elijah

  881. repair the altar according to God's word. My faith took

  882. a beating the very day I felt I was iicing

  883. my shoulder with eyes.

  884. Question came to my mind.

  885. You survive a heart attack already your left hand is

  886. your left hand is almost like broken. To repair my

  887. left hand is about because about a price of X fifty.

  888. At the my boats into three.

  889. Parts and putting one more part just to repair to

  890. get it right. That was about ten years ago. Now

  891. it should be closer to my hunger k to break

  892. the three parts. I say, why if I don't repair

  893. my hand, then your hand by the time you die,

  894. your hand will not be straight. I says, nobody's going

  895. to open the cascade and look and look at this person.

  896. The hand is not straight.

  897. I said, all right, I said, basically my boat is

  898. going to grow, basically because in one hand I cannot

  899. be straight.

  900. Now I said, it's okay. I can live with it.

  901. I can live with it. I told the doctor power

  902. I will not. I say, God can of God twether

  903. I'm going to close. When you go to situation, When

  904. you go to a situation like that, life changing this situation,

  905. wouldn't you question.

  906. God? Why God? Why? Why Lord?

  907. I mean, of all times, at the midst of like

  908. house renovation, my wife had your infection. Now come me

  909. having a shoulder, Say what why like that? Why this happened?

  910. I'm not sure some of us here questions, But why

  911. I said, Lord, being for the night, creaking moss no fun.

  912. I couldn't imagine sixty if you bring your Moses, it's

  913. even not fun at all.

  914. But the Bible just reminds you. Reminds me again.

  915. That even though I walk through the value of shadow,

  916. of defaction, not fear. Come on, when VIC two, God's word,

  917. he reassure me I still have a future and a hope.

  918. Come on, it's not over yet. You may, you may

  919. seems like you are drowning like Peter, but you're not

  920. gonna be overcome by the waves of disappointment.

  921. I'm not sure how many of words here read the

  922. word of the Lord.

  923. Say God, I'm the lowest point of my life. The

  924. Bible says that Elijah was facing a femine in the

  925. time that requires water be poetry times. Some of us

  926. see you when God challenges God, you don't understand having

  927. experiences of femine, of courage, of famine, of encouragement of famine.

  928. Nobody encourages you. You're all by yourself. I've always sitting down,

  929. I tell you them. I think I was more hurt

  930. by the not hurt no one, disappointed by the people.

  931. Calling me uncle. You okay?

  932. Not I reached the stage people calling That's how I

  933. used to me. Brother, you're okay now I'm Are you

  934. all right?

  935. I said?

  936. I am still quite young. I think for the United

  937. it s you okay, don't call me uncle yet? Right,

  938. young kids that I saw you for, I'm okay. I'm like,

  939. I could have died because of the embarrassment of friends.

  940. If you know I'm I say, some of God, we

  941. have this embarrassment in our life, like can't This is

  942. how I'm gonna end? So God reminds me again I

  943. am his child. Come on, you are God's child. You

  944. could be the only one, like Elijah, having to rebuild

  945. the author occorrding to the world of God. Right, you

  946. could be the only one. Friends, you could be the

  947. only one. But would you take courage You're not alone?

  948. Come on, would you take courage that you're not alone?

  949. Right now, I got another three more weeks before I

  950. can move back to my house to stay with my wife.

  951. Me and my wife.

  952. Separated by location. I'm staying with my dad, My wife

  953. is staying with her mom, her family, you know her.

  954. And this extra us.

  955. So it's about close to three months coming out of

  956. three months. Why we can't stay together because our house

  957. is not fitted properly to have two people stay in

  958. the same room by my love, my dad's house and

  959. her house. So I'm staying with my dad. My dad

  960. is by himself after two years. My mom passed away

  961. two years ago, so I really wanted to spend time

  962. with my dad. Asian that typicalation that who doesn't really

  963. talk a lot on friends, if you know what I mean,

  964. He's always there. So when I when I was young

  965. growing up with my dad, he hardly speaks. The only

  966. time he speaks is I had to go to remind

  967. to ask me to improve you understand the environment. So

  968. I say, Dad, you know, I say, I say, I

  969. was praying. I says, I was telling my dad, Dad,

  970. I'm going to come and stay with you.

  971. Come. I moved quickly to his house, so every time

  972. I go back afterwards.

  973. For the past two and a half months, I got

  974. two ministries. One to minister to my wife because it's

  975. not fun when you're living off a suitcase. For ladies,

  976. it's not fun leaving off from suitcase even though she's

  977. the paris of a home. But it's not exactly your home.

  978. You've got no you've got no study table. You understand

  979. what I'm trying to say. You need a place to unwind, right,

  980. you understand that for me, one, I can adapt anywhere I.

  981. Know, I share with you.

  982. I will stay until I realized that my dad at

  983. the back there got a pet red There was a

  984. red at the back there. I discover a red pull

  985. on my bait or so before. So for guys, we

  986. can I can rush it out, can rough it out,

  987. clean up everything. But he said, I say, Dad, and

  988. we'll come into the place to stay. So every night

  989. I missed it with my wife. The character's gonna be

  990. all right, just a few more weeks.

  991. We will get to this.

  992. We're gonna move back because the house was badly in

  993. need of repairs and renovation, badly after fourteen years of staying,

  994. had a hugely huge crack everything. So somethime my wife

  995. will break down because like I think, he's so long

  996. something we can we ourselves can bring up, Because God,

  997. why so long?

  998. Love famine? Really? How long you want to test me?

  999. One? Week, really one month? Really two months? Really love famine?

1000. How long God test someone else? So many of the

1001. Christians say that, oh God came to for a test

  1002. them again.

1003. To know that has really full after you.

1004. But sometime my wife is okay, like you know strong,

1005. sometimes like when how long after dropping my wife back

  1006. to place in trust?

1007. I go back to my house and put choke at ten.

1008. I will talk to my dad almost every night when

1009. I get a chance to, for one and a half hours.

1010. One and a half hours.

1011. First, I keep you know, for the past two months,

1012. but I have conversation my dad. I calculated in terms

1013. of timer more than my thirty years of my life

  1014. staving my dad.

  1015. Conversation.

1016. We talk of politics or property, don't know, so you

1017. just try to talk something. And then challenging part this is

1018. that my dad has early stages of memory loss. So

1019. every story he either repeats to you two or three

1020. times in the day or in a week with the

1021. same okay, you know, same sequence, same sequence of things happened,

1022. same emotion. But I look at my dad, I say

1023. that it's okay, you told me before. I don't remind him.

1024. But when I rush it there you told me before.

1025. We came fast forward it so my Dad's okay. Sometimes

1026. I tried to be a very good actor. I like,

1027. like listening for the very first time. Oh is it

1028. tell me a bit more? I know my assignment with

1029. my dad. It's going to come to the end. I

1030. know my dad not very long here. My dad is

1031. a bypass patient and large heart doctor toym.

1032. May just enjoy your life, mister Wong. I'm going to

1033. spend time with him because I got to know this

  1034. sell of him.

1035. He doesn't really know I work because I'm like, ever

1036. since I had the full time almost like secrets of reasons,

  1037. I don't really tell.

  1038. That what I'm doing.

1039. He always thinks full time is always reading the newspaper

1040. at work, like nothing to do on So I told

1041. my dad that she got things to do, only to

1042. found out only to his amazement for what I have

1043. to do at work. Although he doesn't really s I

1044. know that it's quite proud. Sometimes you just want Dad,

1045. this is a proud of you, right, But I know

1046. his own way is trying to say that as a

1047. close First, I wanted to encourage you, but you wouldn't

1048. allow the family to dictate how you live your life.

1049. He may be law and courage you, it doesn't mean

1050. you can't give encouragement. Come on, she may be law

1051. on courage, doesn't mean you can't be courageous. Come on,

1052. she may be law on something. Finances doesn't mean you

1053. can't be generous in your own way. Come on, I'm

1054. not scared to get to debt. But you understand trying

1055. to say. You may be TI in time no time

1056. because of assignment, commitments and stuff like that, but that

1057. doesn't mean that you cannot afford to give time to

  1058. the Lord.

1059. So I'm not sure what.

1060. Femine that you're going through right now in your life,

1061. in your in your in your in your situation. But

1062. I want to encourage your friends. Like what Elijah did

1063. friends he rebuilt. He rebuilt friends based on the world

1064. of God. That you and I are friends in our

1065. own life. As I close, which you rebuild your life,

1066. say God, you must have a purpose of MEANWI, I'm

1067. still here. You must have a purpose of me and

1068. why I'm still here. I'm not here just to prove

1069. my point. I'm not here to show that I'm smarter.

1070. I'm here because I want to show people about your

1071. faithfulness of your goodness. How to tell people how much

1072. you love me, how much you love my family. I

1073. want to tell people how much you care for us. Friends,

1074. I want to encourage you. Don't let the spirit of

1075. Jezebel on aheap to cost you to be quiet, to

1076. cause you to be like, just accept it to cause

1077. you to conform, whereas whereas God asks you to be transformed.

1078. Don't look at handling taking care of your aging parents

1079. as a child, even though you don't have a good upbringing.

1080. Say Lord, I may be low impatience, but I want

  1081. to sew in patience.

1082. I was sold to have patience. Lord.
