You're listening to a message to go from acts church.
-
We hope this message will light up your tea.
-
Hunger, hunger friends. The scripture it is found in Matthew
-
chapter five. The be attitudes, berattitudes, right, Matthew chapter five,
-
all right, verse six, Men chapter five, verse six.
-
You know the berattitudes? Cool? Methew chapter five. Are you
-
guys there?
-
Well, you're faster, you're That's why you'll keep using the applot.
-
That's why cool. Okay, Matthew chapter five. I'm just gonna
-
read for word stree Okay. Blessed are the poor in spirit?
-
All right? For the us is the king of heaven.
-
Poor in spirits is the king of heaven, the progress
-
of God. Blessed those so more they shall be comforted Inmen.
-
So if you are aver in the valley right now,
-
like constantly in tears, constantly the word is overwhelmed with
-
the situation, overwhelmed with the circumstances. The Bible says, and
-
God's promise is this that he will comfort He's a comforter. Right,
-
he would sustain us, he would encourage us. He will
-
lift us up, and he will put our feet upon
-
the rock. We shall not be shaken or removed. The
-
Bible also says it was five, blessed the meek, for
-
they shall inherit the earth. Blessed the mix, they shall
-
inherit the earth. I think many times you look at
-
mekness as we look as meekness as a sign of failure,
-
sign of surrender, sign of you know, not a fighter,
-
I mean, not a warrior, not a fighter, sign of
-
you know, like people want to take advantage of you.
-
And God's words totally opposite. Friends.
-
Although the Bible here say blessed the meek, friends, the
-
mekness here is not in the physical physical expression alone,
-
but on our spirit humility, and God was reminds us
-
this morning again again and again, friends, you put in
-
the spirit which for again there's a promise. That's something
-
to look for us to look forward to. That's those
-
uh morning, they shall be comforted.
-
Here's the worse. Five, that's not the big they shall
-
inherit the earth.
-
And this God's promise to you and to me as well, friends,
-
that we shall inherit friends, now comes worth six semis
-
in between everything comes worth six.
-
And all of us here could relate to it.
-
Friends, can relate to it blessed those hunger and urds
-
of righteousness, they shall be filled.
-
And many times you look at this portion of scripture.
-
The question here is this that although physical hunger, there
-
is a physical in feeling.
-
You know what I mean.
-
You will feel that if you're hungry physically you reach
-
out for food or bread or Maggie me, the moment
-
you eat it.
-
Your field, there is a physical feeling. Right.
-
But the Bible here says that's those hunger and terns
-
or righteouters, they shall be filled. I think many times
-
in our Christian journey you and I will find that
-
the feeling that God is saying here may not necessarily
-
translate a physical experience. In other words, of stomachs are food, uh?
-
In other words, that you don't need to eat dinner
-
tonight or after this, you don't need to go for lunch.
-
You're so filled, friends.
-
And this is what God promised to us, is that
-
let's look at it less those so hunger and thirsts hunger.
-
God will use hunger. What you and I understands hunger.
-
Everyone of us here, regardless of our social background or
-
economic background. You're not actual ens hunger before immen. All right,
-
you're not experienced hunger before. Friends, Sometimes our hunger is
-
not because we have money to buy food. Sometimes we
-
are hungry because you want it certain kinds of food,
-
right and no matter what other things that you want
-
to eat, the substitute the potento chips in your drawer
-
that you are that you use to fill your stomach
-
during tea time, although it's makes your stomach fool, but
-
you know that there is a certain emptiness after that.
-
If you understand, try to say, there's a certain there's
-
a certain power whereby it is fueled, but no satisfaction.
-
You are fool, But there's the emptiness like what did
-
I just eat? And God this morning wants to remind
-
us again that let's really look at some parties in
-
our lives. Let's real look at the way we live
-
our lives. So that you don't need any substitute.
-
How cool is that?
-
So that you and I've not reached out for something
-
that is doesn't have the right vitamins or nutrients. You know,
-
if you keep eating jump food every day, what happens.
-
I know of a church partner in earlier days who
-
only drink Coca cola. Only drink Coca cola Okay, no water,
-
only drink coke. Right, He's as skinny as Benny. Right,
-
only drink only And I thought to myself, wow, he
-
has a different body system.
-
Right.
-
But many times in our life friends have have been
-
not look at what do we hunger thirst for? Have
-
we look at our lives? What do we hunger and
-
thirst for?
-
Friends?
-
And the challenge for every believer is this, although there
-
is a desire, for example, in our heart and our
-
mind to follow the Lord, how many of you know, friends,
-
whatever you consume, whether you eat, we will be manifested
-
one way or another, whether you consume, whether you hunger,
-
and why will you tast? For we will be expressed
-
one way or another. And there are a lot of
-
believers in the around the world right now, although they
-
could be in church, could looks like they're in the
-
present of God. But yet the translation from the infeeling
-
translation from what they're eating, what they're chewing, what they're
-
meditating upon, reveals really reveals what they consume. And many
-
times in our life, so it's so true for our
-
physical hunger as well. We always got around saying that
-
I'm okay, I'm fine, I'm eating well right, only to
-
be translated the next couple of years. It shows. It
-
shows in our blood results. It shows also in the
-
way our official expression. It shows in the way whether
-
we're happy or not.
-
Friends.
-
And many times in our life, friends, we keep reaching
-
off for things. Friends we feel we thought, this is
-
what is needed. If we'll just go overload and over
-
those we just praise a worship song in our life,
-
what happens? No depth, no depth to go through life,
-
no depth to go to challenges, no depth to overcome situation.
-
The Bible says in Romans chapter.
-
In Romans chapter, travelers too, but be transformed by the
-
renewing of your mind. Friends, There's a calling for you
-
and for me this morning to renew our mind. And
-
that's why God puts one hunger and thirsts because you
-
and I can relate to hunger, and you and I
-
can relate to what is it like to be thirsty?
-
So it goes. It goes something like, these friends, let
-
me just look at my nose. All right, Well, we
-
put a lot of thought physically, Don't mean we put
-
a lot of talk to what we eat physically, don't
-
some of us do? All right?
-
You pass a certain age, you are like solve something
-
you cannot eat as much right where your your your
-
below a certain age, something you can eat a bit
-
more right and after a while, friends, if you're one
-
of those physically inclined person that that that fitness is
-
your goal and your aim, you will actually be rare
-
watching with what you consume true or not?
-
Why not? And because of that, friends we become or
-
people we get labors, very picky choosie and you.
-
Are not going to get a lot of large invitation
-
because this person only eats silicicle of food.
-
Right.
-
And it's very hard friends to ask you for a
-
meal because you only eat cilicle of food. It's hard
-
to involve you in the social life because you won't
-
consume raumde Burger anymore. I saw one parent before telling
-
the kid who is five and seven, I think pointed
-
sausages and breakfast.
-
What is this food? The children just replied processed food
-
five and seven.
-
I don't remember saying what five seven and never told
-
my parents it's processful. I just say this is good food,
-
all right, five and seven? The children told the parents
-
process food not good for health.
-
Wow.
-
I am like start them young right this way too young, right,
-
way too young, so we put love thought, although we
-
pull love thought what we eat physically. But God, this
-
want what reminds us of the scripture that it is
-
also important to pay attention spiritually as well. Friends, pay
-
attentions spiritually as well, because if you're just consuming just songs,
-
good Christian songs, bad song, good Christian song, our diet
-
is lop sided.
-
Our diet is lopsided.
-
And because many times, while we feel good listening to music,
-
obviously like like like a good worship song, but the depth,
-
the following, the obedience coming up from it could be
-
very litter because as songs gets played in our car,
-
we get the most often or most of the time,
-
we only choose what we like to listen.
-
We only get.
-
We only choose the places which song that we like
-
with canan our heart, we canan our spirit. And very
-
seldom we put on worship songs or songs regard that
-
that spurs is that spurs us on into the mission field.
-
There used to be a song back in the eighties
-
called please those Semi Africa, Yes, written by a guy
-
called Catt Wesley Brown. I always remember the title please
-
those Semi Africa. It's a mission song. Basically just saying,
-
at the end of the day, God, you can send
-
me anywhere in the world. But it's funny because I
-
don't get it. It wasn't the song wasn't played a
-
lot of places. Again, you know why we get to
-
choose the moment, We get to pick and choose friends.
-
The obedience could be lacking inside there because sometimes God
-
always gives us stuff that may not be nice, but
-
it's go for our spirit. May not be nice, but
-
go for our spirit, all right. So God reminds us
-
that it's also important to pay at what we are,
-
what our soul is craving for, what your spirit is
-
craving for. If you're only interested, if you're only interested
-
in a particular title, then something else our spiritual growth
-
could be lopsided. I was asked a question, Elder, so
-
what is our stand regarding tribulation prepostor I just say that, Look,
-
all I know is this that I do not know
-
what the future will look like. There is atological stand
-
that people will take. However, even if whatever stand that
-
you take, what are you going to do for the
-
Lord today?
-
Whatever theological stand that you take, how would it change
-
the way you relate to God, And how would you
-
live out for his glory, for his honor, Because a
-
lot of times people take stands, but they don't live
-
out their daily living for the Lord.
-
They don't leave out, for example, honoring your parents. Many
-
Christians I know that they don't honor their parents.
-
Get really quiet here. It's okay. I know many teens.
-
Sometimes they come back and parents complain that, yeah, my
-
teen's so helpful in church, but the moment they go
-
back home, they need to be treated as king and queens.
-
Helpful in church, not very healthful at home. Polite in
-
church by route at home consistency lifting up our hands
-
doing worship, but at home we don't even lift up
-
our hous to the Lord and God.
-
This point would remind us, what's outso cravying? Forth? Friends?
-
If we're only craving for autology, argument, or rather discourse,
-
we will growing the area with deep knowledge in the area,
-
but not necessary obedience.
-
Where is room for faith? The Lord say to us, So,
-
what is you're so spirit caving for? Friends? Is there
-
room for faith?
-
On the way here, I was hearing a particular testimony
-
of a guy who just told the Lord, Lord, I
-
want to go.
-
I would just take one year.
-
To go for mission. A couple, okay, with with with
-
one young boy and maybe one on the way. I'll
-
just take one year to go for mission out from
-
the one year for mission. Really no, he doesn't really
-
have a lot charisma, just normal like normal school teacher.
-
I look like the right normal school teacher look. Decided
-
to go for a mission for a year. One year
-
become twenty five years, twenty five years. Say I just
-
told the Lord, Lord, if you want me to say,
-
I was saying he wants me to go, I'll go.
-
But Lord, you have to tell me. So what is
-
you're so in spirit caving for? If it's just only
-
in friends, if it's only just coming to church, you'll
-
be filled. If it's only just reading a portion of scripture,
-
and that you will be filled. But God, this one
-
asks us go deeper into it. Friends, let me just
-
go next one.
-
Hunger and est is powerful motivator for action.
-
Come on, isn't it true? Hunger and terest is a
-
powerful motivator for action because you and I friends sometimes
-
allow hunger to.
-
Dictate.
-
Sorry excuse early in the morning. How we live our life,
-
what we eat, and what we do. We're craving for
-
a buffet at a certain price, we will save up
-
money for it. Isn't it strange? We will save up
-
money for it. Once a year you pamper yourself because
-
you work so hard. Once a year you just treat
-
yourself to something you've never eaten before. Maybe into me,
-
double skiddy? Right, I know, I'll try our church A
-
guy a guy, and in our church, I think he
-
ate about hand packers into me one shot. I think
-
it's ten track record, ten packets.
-
How I do not know?
-
He was young on a campus student. All right, ten
-
packets of into me one shot? Wow, I said that.
-
Try to repeat it. He won't repeat it anymore, but
-
hung hungry. This is a powerful motivator for action. We
-
will be feeled by what we crave for. You'll be
-
feeled by what you create for.
-
It's very dangerous, friends, if you ever notice track record
-
right of your own self, your own eating habits.
-
Right the moment you put one pro cracker into your mouth.
-
I have not seen anybody exercise restrained very strong. The
-
moment you put one, there's a very high chance you
-
reach out for you hope the God, yes, you try
-
one piece of Catchum? I have not seen anybody just
-
say that I was just one peanut, one only.
-
That's it. You push it away, you'll be feeled by
-
what you quit for. Friends, How true it is in
-
our spiritual life as well, our spiritual journey as well.
-
Friends, your spiritual your spiritual journey as well. Turn with
-
me right now to Genesis chapter twenty five. Let me
-
try to illus illustrate this Genesis chapter twenty five, Verse
-
twenty nine to thirty four, the story of Esau and Jacob.
-
The story of Esau and Jacob. Hunger is a very
-
powerful motivator. Friends, the story of Esau and Jacob. Now
-
Jacob cook us too. Jacob must be a fantastic cook,
-
or he must have a very good social media page
-
that people want to flow and it from his kitchen.
-
Think about it for a moment. You and not have
-
cooked before, friends, don't we? I mean we cooked before,
-
either back at Maggie me or freight rice or so whatever.
-
Give you a cook before? How many of us here
-
you got a housepit? They come back home and they
-
just say, I want to eat what you cook? Very seldom,
-
isn't it unless you're the exceptional cooker?
-
Right? That smell is so enticing. That draws them.
-
Into the kitchen, and you know they're hungry because they're
-
just hovering around the kitchen trying to be helpful and
-
just say, let me help you to taste all this
-
is one taste, and you spect the same suit the
-
taste again. So Jacob goes to the Bible says he
-
saw came in from the field. The Bible say he
-
was very tired and very weary, very dangerous for you
-
and for me. Friends, whenever we go to the field,
-
come back tired and not being filed. Think about it
-
for a moment. You're not going to work on the
-
daily basis, and on the daily basis we come back tired.
-
That's where we should be watching for because doesn't mean
-
we have a victorious time at the field that we
-
can let our God down when we get back home.
-
Doesn't mean we have a great time at our workplace.
-
Translate to a victorious time at home and in our
-
journey as well. Friends, doesn't mean we have a great Sunday.
-
The Monday, it will be a victorious day, and you
-
and I have to be very careful. The Bible says,
-
he's so keep me very tired, very tired, the Bible says,
-
all right. Then he said to Jacob, please fit me
-
with the same rate stew. Now, friends, you can you
-
can decipher it. Okay, so I watch to be elder.
-
Is velvet cake. That's why he baked. It's a it's
-
a great stuff.
-
Okay. So here's a rat.
-
So I say it could be a ritsir gait great wine.
-
I say it could be ric carrier as well, but whatever.
-
The friends, the.
-
Smell is so intoxicating. It starts with the smell draws
-
him in tired. I'm hungry. I'm hungry, The Bible says, right,
-
please feed me with the same ways to for I'm
-
very sometimes right, You and I can justify.
-
Why we do what we do it.
-
Think about it a moment we try to justify do
-
we in our action? I choose this because I think
-
it's right. I do this because I think they deserve this.
-
Just because we are tired doesn't mean we have a
-
right for everything. Think why for a moment, don't you
-
know I'm hurt?
-
Don't you know what I mean? Pain? And we go
-
to life like that.
-
You know, friends, we go through life thinking that I
-
have an excuse, so I have a reason why I
-
do certain things.
-
The Bible said he was tired, and this is the
-
thing that Jacob asked from him.
-
Therefore in versity one, Jacob, say, sell me your birthright
-
as of this day, think about there can I can
-
give you this, this, stow this food, but sell me
-
your birthright, Sell me your birthright. Friends, sublibically, the birth right,
-
the birthright of the first bond signify double porture of inheritance.
-
Think about the double porture of inheritance. Who doesn't want
-
double porture of inheritance?
-
Come on double discount for e level and level say
-
oh shure, nobody reject one, nobody rejects the.
-
Right. Jacob, just put forth. Think about your Jacob just
-
put forth a very very ridiculous request. Sell me your birthright,
-
and I will give you this too.
-
How many times in our lives and we are tired,
-
we get really and assuming requests.
-
It comes away.
-
Our way, friends, your way, your way, friends, to give
-
up your conviction, to give up your routine, to give
-
up your time with your children, to give up things
-
that you hope very close to your heart for.
-
Something that can feel immediately satisfy.
-
You're craving immediately, And many times in our journey because
-
we are tired. We allowed it many times. Because in
-
our journey we are tired, we allow things in our life. Jacob,
-
do not point a gun and it's all hate. Jacob
-
just asked him a question. Come on, sell me your
-
birth right and I'll give you this. I'm not sure
-
how many of us here this morning.
-
In your journey.
-
You want reflect back on the right friends, You reflect
-
back on that the request or temptation comes away. It
-
doesn't come in the form of like you cannot resist,
-
like you know, like like you cannot resist you. I mean,
-
it comes a very subtle way, whereby as easy as
-
to sell me a befriend and I'll give you this
-
rits to just press a snooze button and you get
-
extra thirty minutes of sleep, extra thirty minutes of sleep.
-
Right after all, how many sundays in the year it
-
rained in the morning. How many sundays in the year
-
that the sun doesn't come out bright? It just comes
-
out there's an old cast. Ever is a nice stout
-
covering the sun rays. The snooze button come on, and
-
you're there at the very the moment you press it.
-
Extra thirty minutes. Think about it. It's just a press
-
of a button. I'm a firm believer. Friends, away to
-
start in the morning? Is this to beat your alarm
-
before your alarm rings you wake up?
-
Really? First victory of the day.
-
So I told my wife, I sent my alarm at
-
five am in the morning. I got out of four.
-
If I look at my alarmclock, I beat you. And
-
most time, most times she was like, how enough do
-
you do it? I don't know my internal body clock.
-
I just want to beat something in the morning.
-
Right.
-
There was a time, there was a time I was
-
supposed to go to another state to do training, and
-
I and I only I'm supposed to leave my house about.
-
Five to thirty in the morning.
-
I slept at four am in the morning that I
-
woke up at five without alarm clock.
-
I look at it, I say, this is it?
-
No turning back, no snooze because I SCS news. I
-
can all wake up after that? Friends, what about you? Friends?
-
What would you sell out for? Boss? To think about it? Right?
-
Why did? Why did?
-
It's not even there was no even like for example,
-
like if you are holding onto your conviction, you could like, no,
-
can I give we negotiate again? Maybe I pay you
-
with two loads of goal. Right, think about that. Maybe
-
I pay your two loads of gold, then you give
-
me this two right? This there was no negotiation. Friends,
-
in Jacob, there was no negotiation. The Bible says in
-
worse thany two. Look, I'm about to die, So what
-
is this birth right to me? So I'm about to die?
-
What is this birth right to me?
-
Friends?
-
And sometimes in our life we say already this is
-
a mantra as well, holding on to this conviction, holding
-
on to what I believe in the on God's promise.
-
I've been holding off for so long for my life
-
and not seeing seen a change. So what's the point
-
of holding on? What's the point of believing? What's the
-
point of serving? I don't see a change. Friends, I
-
want to encourage you this morning. Look beyond just say
-
I'm about to die, and look at our own life
-
as well. What have we in our own in our
-
life as well? Whereby you say it's not worth holding
-
onto God for so long? For every young working a doubt,
-
the challenge is this is to hold onto God's promise,
-
that God is faithful, that he will promote you, not
-
we promote ourself. For every campus zone is this that God,
-
You're bigger than my exam. I will still come to
-
change even know exem me tomorrow.
-
What have we in our life? In our journey?
-
Friends have responded like he saw that I'm about to die?
-
What's what's what's the point of holding on to this?
-
There is a double porture of inheritance hill of the household.
-
He so has it has his life made the moment
-
that his father passed away. He will inherit everything everything,
-
But it's just because of a bowl of stew.
-
Give it up. If wed the stir of he saw
-
what was a very sad story because after that he
-
backed his dead.
-
Please bless me as well. I want you to think
-
for a moment, friends, we think that it's just words.
-
He saw just sort that I you know how we
-
make promises to our own see links, I'll give you everything,
-
our I will suck for you and everything that it's
-
just words and not realizing words got meaning, word's got power.
-
Words as authority in our life. That's why we have
-
to use our works very very carefully with our lips.
-
And whenever we confess in our own heart with the
-
old spirit, the more we confess that we are the
-
word dumb.
-
Then we will turn out like that. There is power
-
in it.
-
Friends, And many times in our journey, like he saw, friends,
-
I just say only I give you, doesn't mean I really,
-
really really give.
-
You, but not knowing there's consequences. Friends, there is consequences.
-
The moment you lift up your hands and say I
-
receive Jesus christis my personal law and savior, something happens
-
like he's all, say, okay, I'll give you my birth friend,
-
just give me the food right now. He could have
-
could have thought it is just words, and therefore after
-
I'm stue the first born physically, nothing can dispute that right.
-
I still can overturn you.
-
He just thought that I can ask my father just
-
to bless me, but not knowing their spiritual significance in
-
what he did many times the journey, whatever we hunger,
-
we turst for in our own life. Friends, be manifested.
-
Just let me just go to this hunger costas On
-
to give up his birth right. Birth right is a
-
privilege of becoming a priest of the family. Think about it,
-
priest or family. I'll give it up for a bore
-
of rits to right to receive a double portion of inheritance.
-
I'll give it up for a bore of ste inheriteds
-
to be the judicial authority of his father. I give
-
it up for a bore oft. If you only knew
-
what God has promised us in the long run, We'll
-
hold on to it a bit tighter. We'll hold on
-
to it no matter what the challenge is. We'll try
-
to the very end not to let it go. If
-
only we knew that what God has promised us friends,
-
and the future that we have in the Lord, we'll
-
hold on to God a little bit closer.
-
To our heart of our spirit. Said. The Bible says,
-
hunger int or righteous, they shall be filed about five.
-
Verse six reminds us the bet that when we pay
-
more attention to what we hunger for, when we pay
-
attention to what we hunger and turst for in our life,
-
when we pay attention to word we hunger and turst for,
-
it's a reflection of our action. The more we pay
-
attention to the world we hunger and we turns for friends,
-
the more action reflects the commitment.
-
If you are the.
-
Type the hunger and just turst for God, and your
-
action will reflect that. But many times in our life.
-
Although we say we are hungry for God, but translate
-
to something else. Can Chedd is honestly with you, I
-
go another hour. Don't read here the street, Combanka, Seriously,
-
I've bid many times to trust to street. I'm gonna
-
let you know, right, but I reached there just I
-
think they're praying between you, you know, And I thought myself,
-
why do I need to rush to to us and
-
you guys are not getting the fullness of everything I
-
till time before time. I'm going to take all the
-
way to eleven thirty five, then after that ten minutes
-
to get there, and I'm not get there. I don't
-
have to sit to the announcement after that, right, okay, music,
-
Cheddy is honestly with your as candidly as possible.
-
Right.
-
Many times, as believers, we are called to be generous.
-
Crying not crying up now generously is not something that
-
you have physically. In other words, you're reach therefore your generous. No,
-
it is a mindset first of all, right, you agree
-
with that mindset. So therefore we had one point in
-
our time, our church history, collect clothes, clothes that missed
-
no words, clothes, and.
-
You don't want any more, don't want any more? Do
-
want anymore?
-
Right, maybe donate We can clean it up and give
-
it away to different orphanages, folks, so maybe they can
-
give it a second life.
-
So that was the call. Please think and what you
-
can donate for this cause? Right, this cost.
-
So these are faithful believers, lift up their hands worshiping God.
-
Outcomes the call to give clothes. We were shot with
-
the staff that came our way. Some really good stuff
-
like you can sell it again a brand new and
-
praise God. But some friends, you can become off shoulders.
-
You can pull the collar or become off shoulder with
-
the tag like they say, still can use because cover
-
all the whiter parts shoulder are not important. The color
-
of friends. You know, T shirt collar got whole on below,
-
still can use, think about it, still can use, still
-
can use. We had one T shirt that came he
-
got stained stainer, white color T shirt got stained. Still
-
can use. We have another T shir that came in
-
got holes and all the places they want to look at.
-
What the site.
-
He's gotta be a host the end of the tcher
-
gonna be a host. Why they do it because still
-
can use really reflects reds what their life is being
-
filled with. Wherever you hunger, your turns fall reflect in
-
your action. You want to give minimum to God for
-
maximum blessing from the Lord. God has always asked one
-
hundred percent of our hearts. That's why in the profer,
-
Samuel say that don't look at the physical experience appearance,
-
that Lord ChRI should just look at the physical appearance
-
you no, friends, your lift doesn't mean as a person
-
lift up.
-
Their hands in church is holy all the heart is
-
right before the Lord. Because it really reflects in a
-
way we give to the community.
-
Friends, we had a toy collection. One time a fire
-
truck came into our way. The toy fire truck got
-
three views. Still can use got fire truck with trevious
-
better than no fire truck without any views. At least
-
they get to play with the fire truck. That was
-
the reason given to us. It really reflects frends in
-
your journey as well. You and I friends, because we
-
because I've been doing in chess for past radio ways,
-
I know how people react and behave.
-
And many times, although sounds very spiritual, but it reflects
-
in the way we go for homes, it reflects in
-
the way we live off from Monday to Friday.
-
Calculative, the calculative. I'm getting deeper. I know, friends, That's
-
why I say I got another one out with you, guys.
-
I may not get invited back to Tarist for this
-
whole year anymore.
-
Right, calculative, Look, calculative, friends, Come on, let's those one
-
hundred and terms of righteousness, the way righteous righteous, the
-
way to live our life that's pleasing to God.
-
Right, we want to worship God with just solves. But
-
our live, friends, may not be in alignment the way
-
we live ourlive me not give him glory enough be
-
worthy to give him glory, friends, because we choose to
-
live in a mindset in a way whereby it doesn't.
-
Give anybody any glory as well.
-
So the next time we do call for a T
-
shirt or close donation drive, please friends, do not give
-
T shirt with color you can pull to the site
-
become off shoulder, don't or below the UMPI there's yellow stains.
-
We have that as well. Please don't.
-
Because it doesn't give anybody any glory at all.
-
It doesn't.
-
Let me just go on, friends, problems have the forwards,
-
read the tree. Come on, keep and God your have
-
with all vigilance. Come on, Keep and God your have
-
this new living translation. All right, it's going to be
-
different when NKGV that's on the screen. Keep and God
-
you have with all vigilance. Friends, Keep and God you
-
have with all vigilance. Many times in our life, friends,
-
because we are tired, we let our God down. Our
-
patience is teened. That's why our anger is very visible.
-
We are challenged all the time at world. The moment
-
someone gives us another challenge at hope, we lash out.
-
But the Bible here says, if problems something for words,
-
train the tree, keep and got your heart with all vigilance.
-
In other words, even though when we are tired, come on,
-
even though when we are so stretched, God is going
-
to give us the grace.
-
And the strength to help us to God and to
-
remind us.
-
Because your birthright is more valuable than the bore of it's.
-
Too, Keep and God your heart with all vigilance, the
-
Bible says, And above all, sorry for out of it
-
flows the spring of life. Why the esau crave for
-
the rads to it's because it's not just one incident
-
that costs you to fall. Think about it.
-
Never in life just because of one incident, everything crumbles
-
after that. There was a consistency of letting our God down.
-
Consistency of letting our God down. How many you know
-
if you if you're a morning riser one time snoozing
-
your alarm doesn't make you a snooze addict.
-
It doesn't.
-
It's the consistent behavior of snoozing your alarm that caused
-
you to be a snooze addict. Because it's very normal
-
you reach out every time alarm makes you reach out,
-
you just snooze.
-
You reach out, you just snooze.
-
My wife likes to snooze alarmed one so therefore sometimes
-
I play check on her allow. I said it half
-
an hour earlier to get the time whereby I wanted
-
her to wake up. Because you have the strategies how
-
to overcome this habit. My mom and lawd here anyway,
-
this part of prase. You keep reaching, We keep reaching,
-
We keep reaching. It's so comfortable. It's part of verse
-
after wild friends, it is part of us after a while.
-
So the Bible says, regardless when whether we are tired,
-
challenge or brain juice is zero negative.
-
The Bible says, keep and God your heart with all religion,
-
with all vigilance for our It flows friends, the spring
-
of life.
-
In other words, everything about your life flows from your attitude,
-
from your heart it.
-
Saul did not crave for the races to because the
-
food was good. He has been consistently allowing his guard
-
to drop. And that's why I got him to a
-
place whereby I can just give it up very easily.
-
If it's part of your friends, part of your conviction,
-
part of your life, dearly, it doesn't get released so quickly.
-
When you'd be thinking about it, tempting around it. I
-
don't think he saw this. It was Jacob first time
-
trying to rob the birth right. I don't think Jacob
-
also then one day, Oh, my brother's coming back from
-
the fewer. Let me cook something, let me tempt him.
-
Jacob quest study e Sauce corrected very well by this
-
brother of miner stime up firsty, well, yeah, come about you.
-
You're and I got siblings. Oh come on, you're not
-
God save you. You know how your sibling works, won right,
-
You know how your seebling works. You know what button
-
to pushould make your siblings agree on.
-
You know or what?
-
Butter's not the push to make your siblings right. So
-
you know, so, I guess Jacob has study. He saw
-
my brother. He's a person that will give it to
-
some of the first one. Think about you if you'll
-
give it. So therefore, let me test the boundary. Test
-
the boundary.
-
I am sure. I am very sure.
-
I wasn't Jacob first time cooking the wads too, It wasn't.
-
He must have gotten him addicted. Think about you, he
-
got him addicted whereby the moment he made it.
-
Tempted.
-
Some of us here are from hometowns, and you have
-
your mom's favorite dish. Your mom's favorite dish she only
-
cooked onds on special occasion. Anda and esaw favorite dish
-
could be the rights to I'm very sure because Jacob,
-
the Bible says, is a deceiver study Esau like a
-
specimen below a microscope. My brother is always led by
-
his stomach.
-
Come back right. Think about it.
-
At what point in time that the brother that Jacob
-
knew when the brother's going to come back and start cooking.
-
He must have calculated plan out where I got so
-
such a coincidence I cooked, he's back.
-
You think about it such, I'm cooking, Oh you come back? Oh? Come.
-
He must have planned everything out and Esau fell in
-
like a chat. Think about it.
-
That's why the Bible says, got your heart all vigilants,
-
because the trap was set up for Esau.
-
And Esaul felt for it out for me. The Bible says,
-
fall out from your heart springs the issue of life
-
right because of one way is too Easaul's life was
-
never the same. Again, that's where the scripture is asking
-
us this morning.
-
To guard our hearts. Be very careful, we were coming
-
moments we make. Be very careful who you align your
-
yourself with. Be very careful with our mindset as well,
-
because sometimes it's not of different things, because our mindset
-
is stopping us from allowing.
-
God to speak to us.
-
Be very careful how you see your own life, whether
-
your own self, value, your own self worth, because not
-
knowing that there are people out there who will take
-
advantage of us. Just let me just go on a
-
few more scriptures. Right, I just got the close with this.
-
Let's look at Jesus life. Let's look at Jesus life.
-
The Bible says, Jesus life right in John chapter four
-
wards Study four in John chapter four Worse thirty four. Sorry, yeah,
-
let's let's let me go the worst four verstudy four
-
All right, Jesus said.
-
To them, my food is to do the view of
-
him who sent me, and to finish his work. My
-
foot is do the view of him who sent me,
-
and to finish his work. My foot is to do
-
the view of him who sent me, and to finish
-
his work. Jesus, new friends, his purpose here on earth
-
is to do the view of the Father. Think about it.
-
Jesus knew his purpose. Jesus understood his purpose here on earth,
-
so he used his hunger. Or rather he's craving for
-
one very thing is feel for me to achieve God's
-
purpose here on earth. Our my life is given to
-
me for one very purpose, to please Him and to
-
finish his work. But that's why do hunger, and righteous
-
they shall be feeled. To live a fulfilling life. To
-
live a life that is filled is to know what
-
God wants out from us in our daily life. So
-
so Jesus can say, my food is doue the will
-
of the Father who sent me, and to finish his work.
-
Many times in our life with our journey friends, we
-
only want to do what we want and what we
-
think other people want. I think it's about time that
-
you and I friends, to live a life that's pleasing
-
to God that just wants the word.
-
This is the Lord. If you want me to do this,
-
I'll do this.
-
Friends, I just got one more scripture joint up to
-
fourteen verse seven, Joe, the fourteen verse seven. I've glorified
-
you on earth, and I've finished the work which I've
-
given me to do. I've glorified you on earth and
-
finished the work which you have given me to do.
-
And this is how I'm going to close. The life
-
of Jesus is marked with the ultimate obedience all the
-
way to the cross. Right, so bless her, so hunger,
-
and so righteousness. Friends, think about it.
-
If you know there is a cross in front of you,
-
If you know there is a cross that's in front
-
of you, will we go all the way to the end.
-
Will we go all the way to the end? Say Lord,
-
If this is the cross, then Lord help me to
-
bear it. Let's look a life of Jesus. Friends.
-
The Bible says that my foot is do the will
-
of Him will send me to finish his work. Right,
-
Jesus knew there was a cross that he has to
-
be the ultimate sacrifice. And because he knew has to
-
be ultimate sacrifice. He has to keep his life pure, blameless, sinless.
-
To live a life like Christ. Friends, is understand our
-
purpose here on earth. God has given us breath this morning,
-
live this morning, a reason to be here this morning.
-
Friends.
-
There's so many churches in Malaysia, but somehow or rather,
-
you chose acts. So there has to be a reason.
-
It's not because we chose this church because you're the
-
only church around here. I spoke this said one time
-
called the company. I say, we are not the only
-
church around here. Just across open the window and there's
-
another church across the street. But you chose here. There
-
is the reason why you decided to stay in this church.
-
There has to be a reason, friends, why you're here.
-
Not because I love the community. Well, people do go,
-
Oh the community do go? Do age after a while,
-
it has to be bigger than that. There has to
-
be a significant purpose while you're here. So Jesus understood
-
his assignment on earth.
-
Think about that.
-
Jesus understood his assignment on Earth. How about Earth? Do
-
we understand assignment or per personal Because many times you
-
get distracted because of our feelings.
-
I'm hurt.
-
Therefore, I'm going to live like that. I was betrayed. Therefore,
-
I'm going to live my life like that. I was disappointed.
-
I'm going to live my life like that.
-
The Bible says that Jesus, although he had the crowd
-
with him, the crowd all left him. Come on, all
-
left him. The people whom he healed decided to turn
-
against him and chose stone at him.
-
That did not distract Jesus from the cross. Blessed those
-
so hunger and terms of righteousness. The way you live
-
your life pleasing to God, they shall be filled. And
-
jesus life mission is to be filled. To know that
-
at the end of the day, to go all the
-
way of obedience is a right way to grow. How
-
about us, friends, knowing at the cross that's coming before us,
-
the challenges holding on to Christ's conviction, Friends, you'll be
-
tempted to compromise, to think that if I don't do
-
it now, I'll miss out if I don't have it now.
-
Like what you sall say, what's the point of me
-
holding up right now? Because if I'm going to die
-
or it, this doesn't make anything any sense to me.
-
And many times in our life I've seen true I've
-
I've voked a journey with so many people for the
-
past twenty.
-
Five years in church, people who left the faith.
-
People will bend in the faith, not because any day
-
because they just couldn't have the strength to hold on
-
to God anymore. My encouragement as a minister of the
-
Lord is just to encourage you and me to hold
-
to the Lord all.
-
The way to the very end.
-
Do you know when people come returning back to the Lord,
-
I till you went, just before they pass on, just
-
before they pass on. And the funny thing here is
-
this about passing on? Is just this is that they
-
want a Christian barrier. They want a Christian barrier, and
-
many times we have to explain the person week. The
-
Christian marrier is not so much for the date, because
-
the date is dead. It's more for the living to
-
be at peace doing the soul is in heaven.
-
But we do so we do. Our job is not
-
just to bury people.
-
Our job is to cause me all to live for
-
there here on earth and to live it to the
-
first how God wants to be. That's why the scripture
-
says that my food is to do the view of
-
the Father who sent me, and to finish his work
-
as I close right now, friends, so what do you
-
hunger and test four? So recently our homes homes keep keisha?
-
Isn't its right? Key homes or health indicator for homes
-
or small groups or cell group?
-
Part of it? Friends? Was our daily devotion? Member? There's
-
one daily devotion? Go go home? So now yor gotta gotta? Okay? Good? Good?
-
All right? If I ask lawyer for a tendants reading? Right?
-
All right?
-
So what away was our our ours? Our daily devotion?
-
How is your Bible reading? How is the daily devotion?
-
As is it?
-
Has it been healthy enough? So I attend the one
-
homes in Rawang just a couple of days ago Rawang,
-
they had this game. I thought it was very interesting.
-
They had this game.
-
Okay, I want you to arrange the books of the
-
New Testament, the Books of the New Testament.
-
Okay, the Books of New Testament in order? Right. I
-
got everything correct.
-
Until Tessalonians and untimodity. That that one that I got
-
mixed up a bit because you're so used to our app,
-
because you don't look at at the site referencing anymore.
-
How has that been in our lives?
-
Friends?
-
So if we look at our cage eyes, our key
-
health indicators. Isn't having a good devotion, a strong devotion
-
life good for our spirit?
-
Is it great for missions? Good for our spirit? Isn't
-
being generous good for our spirits? Not just for homes?
-
A lot of people think that the cash is just
-
for homes, but you are take the ten points and
-
you boil down to our own spiritual journey and own
-
spiritual life. Isn't witnessing good for our spirit? So therefore
-
it's like close, friends, closer close. I'm not here to
-
knock anybody, but just encourage you think of what we've
-
been consuming. Also because one day when the report cuts,
-
when your blood is drawn, it reveals really what we're consuming.
-
It does.
-
And no matter what we try to justify, friends, trying
-
to you know, we always justify what we eat. One friends, seriously,
-
I'm for the nineties year. I know every we always
-
try to just right. I a this one once a year,
-
only one. We heard the distable one once in very
-
special occasion. We justify what we eat.
-
But our justification that the only thing is that every
-
time our favorite is come out, we justify that's about
-
every other week.
-
But when the blood result comes out? Friends, how may
-
you know your high class show? It's not because of
-
the mew we head yesterday. It's a consistent consumption. The
-
way of mindset is right now, consistent consumption. If the
-
law ask you the serf, you keep saying, no consistent consumption.
-
So what has a lot been speaking to you?
-
As I close? Friends? If I would do do a
-
blood test right now, what what would you reveal? What
-
would you reveal? Friends?
-
Tests are not to humiliate you, to put you down,
-
but to just to tell you that there there are
-
changes you need to make so that the coming days
-
would be better, so that the coming days will be brighter,
-
so that the coming days would be both fulfiling, so
-
that you can experience the fullness of God in your life.
-
Amen.
