You're listening to a message to go from ast Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
Okay, So it's uh, it's just good to bring God's
-
word this morning, right, And I'm just going to share
-
with you something to just encourage us and to prepare
-
us for what God has installed for us in this
-
year as we draw, draw and end right, and also
-
anticipating for what God has installed for us. Right. And
-
so the title of today's message something for us to
-
just ask ourselves. Okay, if I'm just looking all across
-
the room, I think most of you have been believe
-
us for a while now or even actively serving the
-
House of God. But this message is to just remind
-
ourselves of who God is in our lives. Okay, if
-
you may ask this question to yourselves, you know, who
-
is God truly in our lives? Or if a friend
-
is going to ask you yourself your God? So faithfully
-
you go to church every Sunday, But who is this
-
God really besides the world knowing him as Jesus. I mean,
-
everyone knows Jesus, everyone knows God, but how would you
-
share it to them in a way where it actually
-
represents who God truly is? Right. We heard the testimony
-
just now by Tyrol and Truman. Thank you for sharing. Right,
-
and Truman reminded the church that it is a season
-
for us to share God's love, right, to share this
-
message of hope. That is the very reason why we
-
celebrate Christmas. The world sees it as you know, it's
-
one of the most festive time of the year. Everywhere
-
you go you can see the decoration. You know, this
-
is the time people spend a lot of money buying gifts. Right,
-
but we all know that the true meaning of Christmas
-
is the gift of hope that God has given to us,
-
and that is why you and I are here today, right,
-
Jesus to the earth. You know, the enemy had a
-
whole different plan, but it didn't prevail because God had
-
a perfect plan for us. So as we listen to
-
today's message, I just hope that by the end of
-
this message, you can catch the idea of who God
-
is in our lives and that you will have something
-
to share to someone as you meet your friends and
-
family during this festive season. Right, So, if you have
-
your bibles, Okay, could we turned together to the Book
-
of Daniel. Okay, Daniel chapter four, Right, So are you
-
all familiar with this character Daniel? Yes? What comes to
-
your mind when you hear about Daniel? Yes, a custom okay?
-
What else? Furnace? Yes, it's like that hero, right, who
-
came out of the furnace of fire, which these days
-
you see it in the movies, all right, which is
-
not something very happens in now every day. But this
-
is Daniel. Okay, he came out the furnace of fire. Okay,
-
what else? What else can you recall about Daniel? He
-
went on a diet, yes, okay, and that's how we
-
came up with this Daniel fass right, so we eat
-
fiji and fruits. Yes, that's right. Okay. So they were
-
quite well known during that time for the kind of
-
actions and no decisions that it took was very different
-
from the arts. Yeah, right, so Daniel. Anything else you
-
can recall? Lions Dan, Yes, that's another encounter that he had.
-
How God delivered him. Prophecies. Yes, there's a lot of
-
prophecies by Daniel. We can even read that in the
-
other books as well of the Bible. Yeah, okay, So
-
we are quite well familiar with this character Daniel, especially
-
if you've been in church for some time, right, and
-
there was a time of the year. I mean, I
-
think it was last year or the year before. That
-
was one of our prophecies as well that all may know.
-
And we were referring to the Book of Daniel. So
-
you're very much familiar with this character. Yeah, and you're
-
going to just use this as an example, this character
-
to teach us of how Daniel saw God in his life.
-
And it was very much evident with the way people
-
treated him. And again, Daniel was not living in a
-
time where it was just rainbow and sunshine, right. It
-
was a difficult time, okay, when people were worshiping idols.
-
There was so much of things that was not, you know,
-
pleasing towards God. But yet Daniel was very different, right,
-
and it was people around him that recognized as well.
-
So we're not going to go through the whole story
-
but Daniel, we keep it for another day. But you're
-
just going to see a portion here from the Book
-
of Daniel, chapter four versus eight, the kind of response
-
that the King gave to him. Okay, So if you
-
have not been reading this book, just to give you
-
a bit of context, if you read the chapters before that,
-
these are the dreams okay, that King Nebukanza had and
-
he was trying to find someone to interpret okay, but
-
it was not as successful until Daniel came into the
-
picture and he helped. Right. So now let's just read
-
a portion here Daniel chapter four versus eight, Okay says
-
but at last, So when you see the word but
-
at last, meaning that there's a solution all of a sudden, Okay,
-
there's something that just took place. Okay. But last, Daniel
-
came before me, okay, and his previous name was bel
-
Sesar Okay, a little bit difficult to pronounce. But then
-
his name was Daniel. According to the name of my God,
-
in him is the spirit of the Holy God. And
-
I told the dream before him, saying, Belchazzar, chief of
-
the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the
-
Holy God is in you, and no secret troubles. You
-
explain troubles. You explain to me the vision of my
-
dream that I have seen, and it's interpretation. Right. So
-
in this portion here, it's the respond that the King
-
gives after recognizing who Daniel is, okay, and that there's
-
nothing that you cannot do. Right. And so when he says,
-
here in verse nine, because I know that the spirit
-
of the Holy God is in you. And this is
-
coming from someone who do not believe in God. The
-
king right, because he's he called the people to worship him,
-
they had idols, but yet he saw that in Daniel, right,
-
and he says that there's no secret that troubles you,
-
and you can actually explain the visions of my dreams.
-
And so this speaks something about Daniel himself to be
-
able to actually stand out from the crowd. Yeah, and
-
this is because Daniel actually knew who God is in
-
his life, right, and he could actually bring that out
-
as well. Yeah, I'm sorry, my my, my pet what
-
is not petty is failing me? I mean I have
-
to rely on the slights. Okay, if we just go
-
through the slides, I think it's time for a new
-
and okay, all right, So yeah, so this is who
-
Daniel is, right, And so I think it's important for
-
us to just ask ourselves again, go back to the
-
go to the next right here, Right. It's important that
-
we know someone because that builds a greater trust with
-
the person, right. And if you have been if you're
-
familiar enough with someone, you can very easily say about
-
their character. Right, you can tell that, oh, this Eddie
-
is a very kind friend, and so then you can
-
trust the person, right, you can actually go for help.
-
You know, you can count on the person. It's because
-
you know the person enough. Right, So knowing the person
-
intimately and familiar with them actually helps. Yeah. Knowing who
-
God is helps us to recognize that He is sovereign. Right,
-
he is sovereign. So the question for us to ask
-
ourselves is that do we see God as the sovereign
-
God in our lives? Because the way you see God
-
will determine how you respond to situations in your life,
-
the decisions that you take, just like how Daniel did, Right,
-
he could respond because he knew who God is in
-
his life. Yeah, okay, let's go back to the next one. Right,
-
So I'm gonna introduce to you tree names of who
-
God is. Okay, as we all if you if you
-
if you know this that there's actually so many names
-
of God if you read the Bible. Yeah, but I'm
-
just gonna introduce to you Tree and one bonus because
-
it's Christmas season. Yeah, and just knowing these names, I
-
just pray and hope that it will speak to us
-
and even show you of who God is in your
-
lives as well. So the first one that we have
-
here is Elohim. Okay, God is Elohim meaning he is
-
your creator. Okay, meaning the name of God himself is creator. Right,
-
he is your creator. Right. Let's look at the next
-
part here. It comes from the Hebrew meaning mighty, strong, God, power,
-
and might. Right. So when you know that someone is strong,
-
someone is mighty, how does that change the way you
-
look at God? Right? You may have your circumstances in
-
your hand, you may have the troubles, but when you
-
know that God is that mighty and that powerful. When
-
I say no meaning not just because you heard it
-
from someone, because you believe it, it changes your respond
-
to things. Right. So the first one we can see
-
taken from Genesis one to one. It says, in the
-
beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Why could
-
he create because that's his very name, that's his name,
-
and that is why he could create the heavens and
-
the earth. That's his first creation. Right. If you go
-
to the next one, Genesis one twenty seven, it says,
-
so God created man in his own image, in the
-
image of God. He created him male and female. He
-
created them. And now it's not just about the creation
-
that surround us, but He actually created you and me
-
in his image. Take some time to think about that.
-
Right when we are created in his image, meaning he
-
doesn't make any mistake. Right. And if you know that
-
God is all powerful, almighty, and he chose to create
-
you and me, meaning he had a powerful reason, it
-
doesn't make any accidents. Again, the eyes of men can
-
look like, oh, it's the wrong timing, or I'm not
-
fit for something. I may not have all the abilities
-
that someone else's has. But the word of God tells
-
you something else, right, And this is the word they've
-
got to hold on to, that he created us in
-
his image. Man. And we can see this in the
-
Book of Sums right in Psalm one hundred and thirty nine,
-
verse thirteen. Okay, let's just read this year. It says,
-
for you formed my inward parts, you covered me in
-
my mother's womb. I will praise you for I am
-
fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are your works, and that
-
my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden
-
from you when I was made in secret and skillfully
-
wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes
-
saw my substance being yet unformed. And in your book
-
they were all written the day's fashion for me, when
-
as yet there were none of them. Take some time
-
to just look at this scripture. Yeah, it's a scripture
-
that we sometimes say quite often, right, But it says
-
that you formed my inward parts, meaning every part of
-
you is not an accident. Every part of you was
-
created by Him. And it says for I am fearfully
-
and wonderfully made. And I think that many people sometimes
-
miss out this point. Right. We tend to forget that
-
we are fearfully and wonderfully made. But when we forget this,
-
we then we struggle when we compare ourselves with someone else, right,
-
or when we feel that we're not good enough. Someone
-
else is getting a hit, but I'm left behind. Right.
-
But remember God created you fearfully and wonderfully. Right. And
-
if you look at the last portion here, it says
-
in your book they were all written. You know that
-
God has a book. He records everything. Okay. In this
-
Christmas season, we have songs talking about center remembering whether
-
you're naughty or nice. Okay, but we know that that's
-
not true. The real one is God and his book.
-
He's keeping record of everything. Whether you are naughty or nice,
-
he still is faithful. Okay, we don't work things out
-
to get his favor. That's the God beserve. And in
-
his book it is written, it is written the things.
-
Of course, there are things that we need to be
-
accountable as well, because God has called us to be holy. Right,
-
there are consequences when we don't. But at the same time,
-
he writes things that He has for you and me,
-
the plans that He has for you and me. Right,
-
he knows the day that you will be born and
-
the day that we will go to him. Nothing happens,
-
as you know, just because something came across the space
-
and therefore you were formed. No such thing. Right. God
-
has a plan and a purpose, a man a plan
-
and a purpose. It's the most basic, the most foundation
-
of our faith that we've got to remember all the time.
-
You know, it's easy to forget when we get so
-
caught up, you know, with troubles of the world. But
-
let's never forget that you are so precious in the
-
eyes of God. Right, you are so precious. Every time
-
you look yourself in the mirror, say I am created
-
in their eyes in the image of God. Amen, Meaning
-
all of you have an image of God. So I
-
think then it's important to ask ourselves how am I
-
carrying this image of God. I'm not just car carrying
-
myself as Elaine, Pong or Nick, but I'm carrying God
-
in my life. When someone else see me, they're seeing
-
God as well. Then how much more are we supposed
-
to live our lives? Right, not just for ourselves, but
-
representing who God is. No one can see God as
-
an image, but they see God true the way we
-
live our lives, the love, the action that we show
-
to others. Right, So let's just have a heart check
-
and ask ourselves when people see me, do they actually
-
see God through me because I'm created in His image? Amen? Right,
-
And let's go to the next one here again the
-
First Quarrinthians, Chapter eight, verse six. He says, Yet for
-
us there is one God, the Father of whom are
-
all things, and we for Him and one Lord, Jesus Christ,
-
through whom are all things and through whom we live,
-
meaning all things are to Him, all things are true Him,
-
and nothing happens without Him knowing. Right, even in the
-
things of the world, you know sometimes you know, people
-
have questions about you know, why does bad things happen
-
around us? You know, why are there so much of struggles?
-
That God is a good God, why would all of
-
this happen? Well, the reality is that we can never
-
be able to comprehend the love of about Father. Okay,
-
there's the reason why he can see things in a
-
whole big spectrum in the way where we cannot see
-
because we're so limited as humans. And I think that
-
is when we've got to just say, whatever it is,
-
I'm just choose to trust God. I wouldn't want to
-
question the act of God, but I just choose to
-
trust in his perfect plan and timing. That is fiate Okay,
-
when you can just leave it all out and just say, yes, Lord,
-
I choose to trust you. Right, So that's what the
-
scripture reminds us. Let's go to the next one. Okay.
-
So if you know that God is your creator, he
-
is powerful and living, how does that change the way
-
you look at yourselves? Right and the world around you?
-
Who has the authority over your lives? Right? Who has
-
authority over your lives? When you know the truth of
-
how who is your creator? That he knows every details.
-
How would it change? First of all, the way we
-
look at ourselves. God is always interested with the person first,
-
and then what we can do to show to others
-
as well. Right, I'm just putting this question here for
-
us today, is so that we can again have a
-
heart check prepare ourselves as we draw a close to
-
the year. Do I want God to be part of
-
the coming year? Right? If you say yes, then I
-
think sometimes you've got to position ourselves in a way
-
where God truly has the authority, not just on little
-
other things or some things, but in everything else. God
-
has the full authority and the full say in my life. Yeah,
-
full say in my life. So let's just think about that. Right.
-
So the first point here is that God is our
-
work creator. Do you know the name is now Elo
-
him very good. Right, So that's his first name. Let's
-
go to the next part. The next name is el
-
Roy okay, meaning the God who sees. Okay, the God
-
who sees. He knows every detail. He knows everything that
-
is going on, even when the people beside you be
-
able to see it. Sometimes we may live in the
-
same house, but no one can actually really understand or
-
see your need, Like how our Abba father does. Right,
-
Let's look at the next slide. Yeare in Genesie sixteen thirteen.
-
For some reason, I was just preparing my slights yesterday
-
and I felt I should put all the scriptures. I
-
think it's for this reason, okay. So he says in
-
gene six sixteen thirteen, he says, therefore, Hagar, and youe
-
knows who Hagar is in the Bible, who's made Sarah's made?
-
Very good? Yes, testing your Bible knowledge? Okay. So therefore
-
Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord who
-
had spoken to her. She said, you are the God
-
who sees me, and also said, have I truly seen
-
the one who sees me? So that well was the
-
name bear Lahai Roy. That's where the name comes from,
-
which means well of the living one who sees me.
-
So this name comes from the encounter that Hagar had.
-
As we know Hergar was the servant of Sarah. So
-
the plan was that the agreement that they had was
-
that because Sarah couldn't give birth, she told her made
-
to actually give birth to a child. But when the
-
child came, you know, there was a little bit of
-
a conflict between the two of them. And she chased
-
the servant away from the house. And so you can
-
just only imagine Hagar having a child, being out there
-
the desert and no help, no one was around. And
-
this is when she called when the name of God right,
-
and she encountered God as a god who sees, a
-
God who sees yea, and that is how the name
-
comes right. How can we related to the times that
-
we are living in now? When we go true our
-
everyday life, do we recognize him as our God who
-
actually sees us? And this can be seen in two
-
different ways. Firstly, is when we see God sees, meaning
-
the troubles that you go through or the needs that
-
you may have, and you feel like no one is seeing,
-
no one is being able to notice it, but He sees,
-
he sees, he provides, he delivers. And another thing about
-
this God sees is also are we aware of our actions,
-
meaning we're not just doing or looking good in front
-
of others right only when people are seeing, but even
-
in closed doors or when no one else is there.
-
We have the fear of God in our lives because
-
God sees right. We're not here to please men because
-
man only sees the outside. He only sees the limited,
-
but God sees beyond that. He knows what's in our heart. Right.
-
Sometimes we can go on serving every other Sunday or
-
you know, speaking all that we want, But ultimately God
-
knows if the person truly honors him, if you're truly
-
pleasing him? Right, And so again a question to us ourselves,
-
Am I living a life that pleases God? Right? Do
-
I have the fear of God in our lives? Because
-
at the end of the day, that is all that matters.
-
You know, the only person that we're going to be
-
answerable is to God himself on the judgment day, right,
-
no one else. So would it be a good time
-
for us to come to a place of holiness? And
-
I would say that it's very different from all of
-
you here. You know, the lives that we are living in,
-
the choices that we make, the things that we watch,
-
who we speak to, sometimes even the things we speak
-
about without you realizing, we are we pleasing God with
-
the conversations? Right? Are we pleasing God? Because it's either
-
we can go with the crowd and see all that
-
we want, listen to all we want because everyone else
-
is doing that, or would you be still bold enough
-
to be that one person that is still different because
-
you choose to please him. And I would say that's
-
a very bold step to take, right when everyone else
-
has a certain opinion, but you choose to go with
-
the opinion of God that pleases him. Right, because God sees. Amen,
-
God sees Let's go to the next part, King David,
-
as we read just now as well from psums right
-
one hundred and thirty nine, it says you saw me
-
before I was born. Every day of my life was
-
recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before
-
a single day had passed. Right. King David recognized that,
-
and that is why he could come to a place
-
of saying, God, this is my heart. I bring to
-
you me a clean hands and a pure heart because
-
he knew that God sees, right, God sees next part,
-
So do you know God as l Roy, the God
-
who sees you? Okay, he can turn to the person
-
next to you and ask them, do you know God
-
as your el roy? He sees you? Right, He sees you.
-
And sometimes you can get very discouraged or disappointed that
-
people are not recognizing what I'm doing. You know, I
-
do so much, but it's I think just good to
-
remind ourselves that we do everything unto God. Right, We're
-
not doing it unto men, but we do it to him.
-
People can forget, but God doesn't forget you. Right. Even
-
things that were many years ago, or you a long
-
time ago, God still remembers. He knows your heart's desires. Amen. Right,
-
let's go to the next portion. So the third name
-
that we can see here is Jehovah Nissi. Okay, what
-
does this mean? The Lord is my banner? Right, the
-
Lord is my banner. In those days we look at
-
the Old Testament times, it was very common that you
-
see banners everywhere, right, So this banners are put up
-
to remind people that this is who God is, This
-
is what he has done. You know, this is who
-
he is is capable, right, and so banners will all
-
put up. Right. We can see a portion of a
-
scripture here where we got this Yeova Nisi from. This
-
is from Exodus, chapter seventeen, verse fifteen, and Moses built
-
and alter and called its name. The Lord is my banner.
-
So it means a standard we put up a banner,
-
meaning we are trying to set a certain standard that
-
this is who God is in our lives. Yeah, meaning
-
God's protection and guidance over his people. This portion of
-
scripture here in Exodus seventeen is when the people were
-
set free from all the trials and the struggles that
-
they were facing, and once God delivered them. This is
-
when Moses actually put it up, right to just remind
-
the people that God is our protector, He is our deliverer. Yeah,
-
He's the one who guides us. Okay, So as we
-
again just reminding ourselves, if we have those banners in
-
our lives, all over our lives, you know, I think
-
there's just so many banners that we can put up
-
about God. And when we say banner in a real
-
actual life, is the kind of conversations we have with
-
people when we talk about God. You know, can we
-
actually see that God is my protector. I was going
-
through this tough time and God delivered me. He is
-
my provider, right, He's the one who comes true. Can
-
we actually put up those kind of banness in our lives.
-
When someone sees you, they can see all these banners
-
all over your face, because that is so evident of
-
how God is living through you. Right, and God is
-
our banner. Right, Let's go to the next portion here, Okay,
-
the Lord will fight for us. The battle is is
-
and he is a God of deliverance. I just want
-
to encourage different ones here this morning. If you have
-
different battles in your life, You're not alone in those battles. Right,
-
you don't have to be fighting all by yourself, but
-
God is fighting for you. Right. There are sometimes things
-
that are beyond our physical strength, beyond the physic our,
-
beyond our abilities. By the Book of Romans reminds us
-
that sometimes these are spiritual principalities which can only be
-
fought with God, right, his Spirit, the Holy Spirit. And
-
so that is when we just need more of Him.
-
And if you have a battle that you're fighting for,
-
struggling already, need that you've been praying for a very
-
long time, let me encourage you to not lose hope,
-
but to bring it unto God this morning, right, to
-
bring it to him and say, God, I just laid
-
all before you. Would you come and deliver? Right? Would
-
you come and even give me the strength. Some of
-
you may need the strength to endure it. Some of
-
you may need the wisdom. What do I say in
-
these times? Right? And He gives you those words exactly
-
what to say. Again, that is how God leads, and
-
that is how God guides you a man, right, and
-
so he is our banner. So these are the three
-
names that we can just recall and again when you
-
tell someone about God or not use these names. That
-
was the first one. Again, can you remember elo Him?
-
What is that? Elohim is our God, is our creator. Right,
-
He's able to create. And when we speak about remember
-
he can also create those dreams and desires that he
-
has in your hearts. Right, we are created if I mean,
-
imagine if God created us. If you look at if
-
you just don't do your friend beside you, and you
-
look at your face, how can there not be a creator? Right?
-
Each of us are so different. If you look at
-
a twin, they are also very different. Right. If you
-
look at the creation, it's so creative. What more, the
-
dreams that God places in your hearts, how creative? How
-
powerful is those things? So never think that our lives
-
are just meant to Monday, Tuesday, Wenday, Thursday, Friday. Okay,
-
I'm done, and then I go on to the next week. Right,
-
Sometimes you can get so mundane and routine, right, But
-
let's not forget that God gives us certain desires, certain
-
dreams that we can create. Right, we can make good things.
-
Some of you can sing, some of you can dance,
-
some of you dance for the first time today. Right,
-
some of you have great abilities. Why not use that? Right?
-
Why not use that? Don't stop dreaming, That's what I'm
-
trying to tell you, Church, Okay, don't stop, you know,
-
looking forward to great things because God is always exciting. Right.
-
God is always you know, wonderful in the way he
-
makes things happen. What more earth s his creation. He
-
wants us to keep doing things. He wants us to
-
keep believing for more. Right. And so as we step
-
into twenty twenty five, why don't you ask God, God,
-
this has been in my heart, this has been in
-
my dream. Could you help me to achieve that? Or
-
maybe you might be saying, God, I don't know what's
-
the dream in my heart. I feel it's just the
-
same old thing. Could you place a dream or desire
-
in my heart? Right? And he brings it to pass? Okay,
-
So let's not stop dreaming, let's not stop believing, because
-
we serve our God, who is our creator. Amen. And
-
what was the second one that we learned el Roy
-
meaning the Lord sees. Yes, so he sees you. He's
-
been seeing you throughout this year, and he will see
-
you true in twenty twenty five as well. Do you
-
believe it? Yeah, it's going to bring you, to bring
-
you true if their needs beat, finances, beat a new
-
place that you're going into, relationship, whatever it is. God sees, Yeah,
-
he sees, and he will come true. And the third
-
name is Nissi, Yes Jeovah Nissi meaning the Lord is
-
our banner. The Lord is there as our refuge, as
-
our strength, is always there watching over us. So let's
-
not forget to put up those banners. Okay, don't just
-
put up Christmas decor. And that's the only time your
-
neighbors know that you're a Christian just because this house
-
got a tree, right, But every other month, how are
-
you going to show that I'm a believer? Right, even
-
without a tree, they can tell by your speech, by
-
your action, that this person is a child of God. Right,
-
because I'm kind, I'm looking out for others, and I'm
-
showing who God is true my life. Amen. Right. So
-
these are the three names, and then we have one
-
bonus since we're in the Christmas season. Okay, which is
-
God is Immanuel God with us? Right, Immanuel God with us.
-
He's always with you, He's never left you. Right, He's
-
always by your side. It's just a matter of whether
-
we recognize him. Right. Let's just read this passage Isaiah
-
chapter seven, verse fourteen. Yeah, right, so, Isaiah, thank you.
-
Isaiah chapter seven, verse fourteen. It says, therefore the Lord
-
himself will give you a sign. Behold, the Virgin shall
-
conceive and bearer's son, and shall call his name Emmanuel.
-
So when you're see in this book of Isaiah, it
-
has not come to pass. It's a prophecy. And did
-
you know how many years it took before Jesus came?
-
Seven hundred over years right before when this prophecy was written.
-
And then after seven hundred years Mary was there and
-
she conceived Jesus. What does it tell us tell us
-
about how God is faithful, He keeps to his promises.
-
When something is said, it is done right, it is done.
-
And if you have received a prophecy or a word
-
from God, you may not see it coming to pass immediately,
-
but it may take time, but it does happened. Right.
-
So that's the prophecy that was given. And then when
-
you look at the next scripture here, okay, Matthew one
-
twenty three. Okay, it says, behold, the Virgin shall be
-
with child and embarrass son, and they shall call his
-
name Immanuel, which is translated as God is with us. Right,
-
God is with us. And that's where the name Immanuel comes,
-
meaning the very reason why God sent Jesus as his
-
one and only son. Right, And Jesus led his life
-
as a normal human. He knew what it means to cry,
-
he knew what it means to have a family, to
-
be happy, and he went through all of that so
-
that he can be able to empathize with you and me. Right,
-
and that is why he can be with us so
-
ever present, right, so ever present. That is the God isself.
-
And the next scripture Matthew twenty eight twenty this is
-
the last book of the Book of Matthew. Right, So
-
the first one you saw Matthew chapter one, when Jesus came,
-
and then you read the whole book of Matthew, you'll
-
see all the miracles he performed. Right, we have learned
-
it throughout the year. The seven i Ams, turning water
-
into wine, all this story, the things that Jesus did,
-
and then in the final book of in the final
-
chapter of Book of Matthew, it says, teaching them to
-
observe all things that I have commanded you, and lo,
-
I am with you always, even to the end of
-
h So what does it tell us? He's been there
-
from the start and he'll still always be there with us.
-
And so when he ascended to heaven, he sent the
-
Holy Spirit to be a helper, meaning he'll never leave
-
your site, is always by your side. And I hope
-
that in this Christmas season you will recognize that. Right,
-
Let's not just be caught up with the festive and
-
the fun, but to also feel God's presence in our lives. Right,
-
to feel how near God is, how intimate God is
-
to us, Right, and then you can feel it for yourself.
-
It's the best feeling than anything else. Right, And when
-
you can feel it, you also want to share it
-
to others. And it's the very meaning of Christmas. You know,
-
we had our homes did Christmas chair and we have
-
c S. Two is also doing different things to bless
-
one of our brothers. Right, what can we do in
-
this season to bless someone right to reach out a
-
helping hand, to pray for someone, you know, to take
-
some time out of our to do and scare things
-
to buy, right, but maybe someone who may need that
-
dinner with them, you know, or someone who may need
-
a little gift that you can just bless them with.
-
You never know that something small goes a long way, right,
-
So let's make the most of this time, this whole
-
week that we have to be a blessing to someone
-
during this Christmas season, to tell others the true meaning
-
of what Christmas is a mean. Right. So these are
-
the four names. A very simple message this morning, just
-
to to help us come to a time of you know,
-
ending the year by reminding ourselves who God is and
-
to step into the year with victory, right, not just
-
you know, carrying all the burdens on ourselves, that's not
-
how we meant to live our lives, right, but to
-
bring it to God, because we serve a God who sees,
-
who's always there with us, right, and we want to
-
you know, position ourselves in a way that says, yes, Lord,
-
this is who I am. You know, I'm ready to
-
what to to, you know, to look forward to the
-
year that has to come and could you use me,
-
use me for your work, use me to bless artists
-
and to make your name known. Amen. Right, I invite
-
extreme forward. Okay, And as we even think of these
-
for names, I just want to even welcome us to
-
in time of worship, to surrender ourselves, you know, to
-
thank God. You know there's so many things that has
-
happened over this year, right twenty twenty four, to bring
-
all those things to God, you know, to step in
-
with us, with us with a heart of gratitude, saying
-
thank you Lord for everything that you've brought. Thank you
-
for bringing me through the difficult times. You may have
-
had your difficult times that no one else has seen. Right,
-
we want to bring it all to him and say, God,
-
what is it that you have for me? In twenty
-
twenty five, I just want to bring myself before you.
-
We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more
