we like new things, right, because it's always the symbol

of something fresh, right, the old has passed, the new

has come, and so we're excited about New Year's. How

many of you actually make New year resolutions? Only, Bennie? Okay,

So the rest of us are sort of more experienced

because we know that after we make our resolutions, we

don't keep it correct right now, that's why you stop

making resolutions. Okay, so speaking for it. But Bennie is

still like believing, right, it's still full of hope. Bennie.

You want to share one of your New year resolutions?

Can private? Is it private? Okay? Never? Or something to

do with money? Okay? Okay? Cool? Cool? Yes? Made that

come true for you this year? Yeah? So, so I

don't know. Sometimes when we do not set anything, then

nothing gets achieved true or not. So that's another thought

that I want to give to you. But okay, so

I want to ask you know, what do you how

how would you treat this precious special thing? How would

you treat treat once you receive it, how would you

or whatever, pay rental? Would you use your bonus for

to go on a holiday, and once you receive your bonus,

you will set it aside, right, means you will not

touch it unless it's for its purpose. So if you're

you that twenty twenty five is a gift for you? Wow?

year as something that is new for you? Some of

day because there are many people who did not live

to see twenty twenty five, but you are here and

because of that, this is a gift for you. Right,

Are we gonna treat it like all the years that

we've treated it? Or is it gonna be different? Someone

turn to your neighbor and say it's gonna be different?

Can I also tell you it's gonna be different? You?

Do you want it to be different? That's the question, right, Yeah,

do you want it to be different? If you was like, oh,

I think I like the way things are, then you

can just live your life the way you've lived it,

no difference, right, But as twenty twenty five is a

gift for each one of you, can I also tell

you that you are a gift? Have you ever realized that?

Turn to your neighbor and say you're a gift? Some

of you don't believe it, Like, no, you're not a gift.

You are a gift. And do you know who treasures

you the most?

God? Yes? I mean we in our minds we know

the answer. But do you live like you know the answer?

Do you live like your life is worthy? Do you

live like your life is so precious? Because it's precious

unto God?

And do you know why?

I know that's true because Jesus died on the cross

for you?

Did he die in across for the cat?

Did he die on the cross for I don't know,

the tiger, the lion, the extinc animals? Do he die

in across for the important things in this world? He

died for you and me? And that means in God's

eyes you are more precious than any other thing that

you hold important. In God's eyes, you are the most

prized possession, so prised and therefore anything that you prize

anything that you value.

You want to set apart.

You want to yeah, you want to set apart, you

want to keep it holy.

That's true, right, Okay, so let's go.

So when I was praying and God just drop this

word to me, set apart, I'm like, okay, God, what

do I do with this set apart?

So I think, right, God once to send a.

if you have something that's precious unto you, how would

you treat it? And we went on to say that

God is the one who sees all of us as precious. Amen.

And so this word precious comes from not precious, set apart,

setupart comes from this Hebrew word are you okay to

learn one Hebrew word today? Okay? This Hebrew word is kardash. Okay,

can you say that kardash kardash? Oh, well done? You

have Hebrew one O one one word kardash. What does

it mean?

Okay? This word's set apart?

Okay? So sometimes we talk a lot about being set apart.

What does it even mean?

All right? So it's you can see that it says

two consecrate. Do you know this word concepcrete? No, that

is more the answer actually when you read it right,

like consecrete, because okay, you know what it means. Not Nicholas,

Oh okay, okay, he learned ready, okay, So.

But now min the rest of us. You know, it's

not a it's not a word.

You know why? Because God says, be holy as just

as I am holy? How come we are not telling

chief of sinners. And yet there is a higher calling

that God calls of us, calls all of us too, right,

and so maybe sometimes we have to begin to use

God's language and say, hey, let's be holy? Extraras? Can

we be holy in twenty twenty five? By God's grace?

We can amen on our own no hope on our own?

No hope? Okay? I know some of you are thinking like, huh,

what's this? Man? This is a high calling to be holy?

But God wants us to be holy? Do you want

to be Okay, let me ask you another more important question.

Do you want to be holy? Yeah? Some of you

are like, I want to be happy? And can I

tell you that being happy and being holy sometimes is

at the opposite ends of each other. Many of us,

right when we live life on earth, we want to

be happy. God, bless me, God give me what my

house is. I want to be happy here, right. But

God is saying, no holy here on earth, so that

you'll be happy later in heaven in my presence. Do

you like that? No? Man, Honestly, it's not easy to

be holy here in this very unholy earth. Right. You

know that our earth is broken, it's full of sin,

all right, and so it's not easy to be holy.

But let's strive because that's what God wants of us

to be, all right. So now the first usage I

think it's very important to understand when this word is

first used kadash right, all right, So let's see what

is God's mind. Okay, I want to give you a

picture of what is in God's mind because that's all

that's our live journey, our live journey on earth is

to know Him. Amen. You know, as you read the

Word of God, right, don't just look for answers for

my problem, although there are answers for your problem. All

the answers are there, But I want you to this

year have a fresh expectation to see that every time

I come to church, every time I attend a preservice,

every time I go to homes. I want to have

a glimpse of God. I want to know you more.

God, because that's a God that you.

right is exatly right at the end of your whole

lining you meet God like, huh, you look like that.

When a God.

I don't know you at all, and Goss also don't

know you, and we could be in church our entire

lives without knowing who God is. Scary, right, So so

let's not set.

But let's be in awe. You know when we meet

So the first usage of this was in Genesis chapter two,

at the very beginning. No, Genesis, Chap, isn't that very

early that God already uses this word. He didn't only

use this, you know when you were like after Jesus

died on the cross that God says you need to

be set apart. No. From Genesis chapter two, verse three,

God used this word. Now, then God blessed the seven

day and sanctified. So another word for set apart o

kadash is sanctified. Have you heard of this word sanctified? Again?

Another jargon. But we will learn it and we will

be comfortable with this. Okay, we will learn this and

be comfortable with this. And sanctified it because in it

he wrested from all his work which God had created

and made. Now what does it mean that God sanctified it,

cleansed it in one way? Yeah? Yeah, but he set

apart right, So there's day one, day two, day three,

day four, day, fight, day six, and then day seven.

It became something of an ordinar. Now, right, do you

know that God says up to this day, keep the

Sabbath right, keep a holy day. That means, right, what

we are doing today is we are setting apart our

sundays for God. Wow. Amen. That means we are consecrating

one day of the week to come together in a

fellowship like this to worship God.

And that is God's order.

God wants us to set apart one day of the way.

I know some people say, can it be Saturday? Okay,

if you work on Sunday, then set apart one day.

The principle is setting apart, right, Let's not go into

the argument or is it Friday better, Sunday? Better on

Monday or Wednesday? Can or not? It's okay, set up

one day, one day where you will just say God,

my focus, my priority is you. No matter what. I

will never miss church, no matter what, I will be

here worshiping you. Setting apart, all right, So that's a

very see. God at the very beginning already gave this

idea of there is an importance of setting part because otherwise, right,

everything's the same, right, can I get true or not?

Every day becomes the same, every also the same, every year,

also the same. No no excitement, lah. Do you know

what when there's one special day? Okay, what is one

special that all of us have? Your birthday?

Birthday? You'll remember, right, it's special. It's set apart because

me a gift. Right, it's a day that is set apart.

Did you do you understand the concept now of why

it's important to set apart? And God, do you know

that in the whole of Old Testament they are different

festival all different days of commemoration. To set apart. Set

apart is to remember.

Married couples, Yeah, this is very funny. I asked this

other married couple before, when is your wedding aniversary? They're like,

which data? That's what the husband saying, No, which day

you want me to remember? But then he cannot remember.

Both remember the man, but don't remember the date. And

I'm like, okay, let me ask the white pula. You

remember what data? Oh?

I don't remember at all?

Oh cannot right. Normally, if if your the wife's asked

a husband can Okay, you remembers, your remembers.

after year, then you don't have something to just kind

keep the vowel. That's what remembrance is.

Okay. Setting apart.

Now, let's go to other usage of this word, and

I want to give you the broad aspect of it. Right,

what what what.

Does it mean?

Use? Sometimes when we say being set apart, we only

think about being being holy.

Right and astray.

We're like, okay, that's that's all there is. But there

is more to it. Okay. So now you're you know

that there is a place for remembering a day of

setting up something special. Okay.

Let's go to Exodus chapter thirteing. We're gonna read a

lot scriptures.

I'll be okay with that, Yes, okay, let's go to it.

So a lot of the the usage of kardash is

found in Exodus Leviticus.

Okay.

So the next one is this Exodus chapter thirteen, verse two.

It says consecrat. Okay.

Another English word to mean this word kardash is consecret. Okay,

we're using the word consecrate. Consecrate to me all the

first bond whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel,

both of men and beast, it is mine Now what

does this mean? Then consecrate set apart. Oh, you're getting

it right. It's actually the very important set apart. Now

why they got one the first bond? Why was the

firstborn important to God? Priority? Okay, okay, priority? What else?

What else? First bone? Why the first bond important? It

was the lead right? Yeah, okay, it was the first

one that opened the womb, right those days. You can

have many children, but it was the first one. So

there is the principle of first in God's eyes as

very important.

Do you know what tiding is?

Tiding is giving your ten percent, the ten percent, meaning

the first ten percent, not the last ten percent. Yeah,

got difference or not got difference? The first ten percent

of everything that we have goes back to God. And

that's why. Do you know between Cain and Abel, Yes,

Kin and Abel, you know, one was he was the

keeper of the land and he brought produce, and the

other brother was a keeper of livestock. But the Abel,

who was the keeper of the livestock, he brought the

first fruit unto God as an offering. But for Cain

he just gave an offering. Is there a difference between

the first fruit of the offering and an offering, got

difference or not God? Because God says, I'm pleased with

Abel's gift, because Abel and to it that everything that

I have first I give back to God. Do we

have that principle in our lives? Do we wake up

in the morning and say, God, my first ten minutes

belongs to you? Oh we are like God the last

ten minutes of the day. Let me pray, thank you

Jesus and a boom sleep ready?

Do you give God the last of what you have?

Or the first?

And o? Jay first? And oh yo even better? I

love that answer, first and last, the one next level? Okay?

You want to go into your Christian work deeper? Our

first and last? Okay? And everything else love true or not?

But but can I can I tell you that the

principle of first the first ten percent? What does that

mean in your time? Right? And so I made I'm

trying to practice this, Okay. So this is not just

a goal. This is a practice. Meaning is a practice

of your life. Meaning my thinking is first thing I

wake up in the morning. At least the first ten

percent belongs to Facebook, Instagram, girl friend, tik tok, business, email, BBC, CNN.

I don't know what your first ten percent, first ten

I even say ten percent, now I say first ten.

Minutes of your mornings? Who does it belong to?

Ask yourself? There? If you want this year to be different,

to be consecrated onto the Lord, then is an act.

It's an action. It's not just saying yeah, okay, yeah,

I just want to consecrate myself to go. But there

is an action to it. And so that means, right,

how is your twenty twenty five gonn video? You already

say you wanted it to be different? Yes, and so

how is your first ten minutes of twenty twenty five

every day going to look? Like? Ask yourself this? Because

only you know I won't be in your bedroom like, hey,

first ten minutes what you do are every morning? If

you want me to for a few days, I can,

but I can't do it for the rest of your life.

Right, It's something between.

You and God. If you know, if you really want

to get serious with God this year, would you set

aside your first ten whatever that means. It could be

your salary first ten percent belongs to you God, Your bonus,

first ten percent belongs to you God, because after all,

where did it come from? It came from God. I

know you worked hard, but God gave you the wisdom

right to see through the project. God gave you the

favor right to get the client. Did you think you

did it all on your own? Without God's favor, we

will not be able to progress in anything, any work

of our hands. So you start to remember. Now, Wow, God,

I think this is this is quite key at this

principle of first first day of the week.

What is the first day of the week?

Ah? Some still say Monday. Can I tell you that

the first day of the week actually is Sunday. Okay,

Monday is the first workday, but Sunday is the first

day of the week.

And how you spend your first day.

Of the week will determine what the rest of the

week looks like. The reason why I want to encourage

you to really think about your first ten percent of

your morning is because how you spend the first ten

percent will determine the rest of the day. I have

seen this over and over again that those who did

not go to God first in the morning, right, they're like, yeah,

my life is like chaotic, you know, it's like never

ending meeting, never ending client demands, never ending. Ah. Students,

never ending and never ending. It's so chaotic. But if

you just say, God, I you don't want to be

like this anymore. I just want to spend the first

ten percent hearing from you, being in your presence, being

empowered by you, and then you watch how you're ninety

percent of your day go. It will be different. I

guarantee it. It will be different because now you're filled,

you're field with God. When you're filled with God, when

you're focused on God, your day is different. Amen, consecrate

the first bond, our time, our talents, our treasure. How

are we dedicating this onto the Lord? This is the

principle of being set apart, right, meaning you're literally setting apart,

you know, meaning you're setting apart your phone outside your

bed room so that you will focus and concentrate on God.

That's what it means. All right, Okay, let's go to

the next verse. Exodus, chapter nineteen, verse ten. All right,

and this is what the Lord say to Moses. Go

to the people and consecrat them today and tomorrow and

let them wash their clothes. Wow. So this principle of

set apart or kardash it also means cleanliness. Hmmm, what

anyone didn't shower this morning, don't raise up your hand.

I know my kids old, okay, so in my mind

slowly getting them to that habit, but they're okay. So

do you know that in those days, consecrating yourself means

actually washing clothes, taking a bath. And you're thinking, huh,

why have you ever asked a question? Why? Why is

bathing or changing clothes so important? Because they live in

a desert? And then so it's dirty, that's right? Exactly

can something clean and something dirty be mixed together? Okay?

Do you know one of my daughters, she is so

OCD you know o CD is okay that if we

wear outside clothes right, and if you go into the

room right, you cannot sit on a bit. She's like,

you cannot sit on my bait at all until you

go and shower or change your clothes. While I'm like, okay,

I don't even have that principle, but you do? Okay?

That mine?

And she's top years old. Okay, hmm.

So you know that something that is dirty and something

that is clean cannot be mixed? And do we serve

a clean and holy and righteous God? Yes?

And so do you think God would like.

Unholy, unrighteous dirty things around him.

You don't lie, do you do?

You? Do you like if someone you know full of

mud and suddenly come and give you a hug or

full of sweat the gym after gym, right, all your

jim junkies, right, like a sweating or about wo come

an importance in terms of understanding cleanliness, right, and this

goes to a personal hygiene as well. Right, So, I

Next next to godliness?

go to the extend cleanliness is next to godliness. So

as a Christian person, right, my house should be clean,

my bedroom should be clean. Maybe some of us don't

even have that. Never mind, Okay, let's move on. What

is our next part. Let's go to the next slide. Okay, now, okay,

let's read Exodus ninety, chapter twenty three. But Moses said

to the Lord. Okay, okay. So let's go to Exodus

nineteen before that, before we read that verse, I want

to show you something. Let's go to Exodus.

Where is my exodus? Okay?

Exodus nineteen okay, um, So let me give you a context. Now.

The context is this is when the children of Israel

has left Egypt. Yes, you know the story of the

parting of the raid sea, right, the Moses brought the children,

six million of them. Have you ever let six people

across a busy street? Can you imagine leading six million

people across the desert.

I don't know how he did it.

It's amazing. I think administratively right or super admin But

they he let them out of the land of Egypt,

and so now they're supposed to enter Canaan. All right.

So this is the context of where it's happening, right.

So verse one is says Chapter nineteen. In the third month,

after the children of Israel had gone out of the

land of Egypt, on the same day they came to

the wilderness of Sinai. For they have departed from Refidin

and come to the wilderness of Sinai, and can be

in the wilderness. So Israel came there before the mountain

verse three, and Moses went up to God, and the

Lord called to him from the mountain, saying, thus you

shall say to the house of Jacob and tell the

children of Israel you have seen what I did to

the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagle's wings

and brought you to myself.

Verse five. Okay, catch this now.

Therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep

my covenant, then you shall be a special treasure to

me above all people, for all the earth is Do

you see what I got the concept of special When

I say that God says you are special to him,

this is what God is saying. God says that you

you are a special treasure to me. Hello, Church, God

says that you are a special treasure to him. I

don't know what that means to some of you, but

I want to say that you are special. You're special

to God. Amen. Verse six. And you shall be to

me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These

are the words of which you shall speak to the

children of Israel. You know that as much as God

says you are special to me, and God says, I'm

going to give you an identity? Do you know your identity? Church?

Do you live under the identity that the world has

given you or do you live under the identity that

God has for you? Some of us? Right? When I

ask you who are you? Then you're saying engineer, doctor,

it specialists, consultant. Is that who you are? No, that's

what you do. It does not define who you are?

So what so what if you're the prime minister? Anyone

want to be Prime Minister of Malaysia? Right now? No?

Thanks?

Hot seat? Right? So what these positions, these things that

you do will change and can change. Does that define

who you are? I'm a millionaire, so I'm a billionaire.

So is that who you are? Or are you something

or someone that will never change regardless of your status

in life, regardless of how much bang account is left?

What is your identity?

God says, do you know what?

The verse? You know? That says you are a royal priesthood,

a chosen generation?

Right?

The first Peter too want you'll know that it didn't

start there, is started here God.

When he called these people.

Out, he says, Hey, I'm choosing this person, Abraham, and

I'm gonna bless you.

Father Abraham and.

All your nation. I'm choosing you because you are special

to me. Right and right at the beginning, he gave

them an identity. He says, what do they say is

their identity? They are a kingdom of priest and a

holy nation. Wow, don to your neighbor, you are a priest.

Some of you don't want to accept it, like, no,

I'm not a priest, priest, can't get married. On turn

to that, persons say you are holy. I have to

believe right that you are a priest and that you

are holy, because that is what God calls all of us,

not just the pastor not just the leader, not just

the church plank coordinator.

You are a priest.

If you are a believer of God, if you are

follow of Jesus Christ, you are a priest. That is

a role that you play. And that's why we say

we are called a people. A prayer What what do

priests do? They pray, they intercede, they make intercession. And

so that's why prayer is not only for leaders. Prayer

is not only for the prayer warrior. Someone said, oh,

that one prayer warrior, that one prayer means why you

are You're not ooh oops, prayer is not a special

office just for the extra holy people, you know, because

guess what, you are holy or so true or not?

You are holy and God. That is God's desire. God says,

I set you a part to be holy. I set

you apart to be holy, so that you are not

like the rest of the world. Do you want to

be like the rest of will? No, you don't. God

does not want you to be like the rest of it.

That's why you set you up.

And that's why God.

Gave all the laws the levitical loss. If you read

levety Gus so many laws? Right? Do you know how

many laws are there? No? Okay, how many of you

You will not accept it for your goal.

And God sees all of us more precious than goal

or rubies or diamonds.

He sees us more precious.

And so I'm hoping you begin to catch something here, Okay,

that when God is serious about purity. You know, God

is serious about what we feed our mind. God is

serious about what we feed our stomachs this year, okay.

God is serious about how we set apart ourselves for him. Amen,

the dedication of it. Let's go on, Let's go on. Okay,

I'm running out of time. Okay, let's go to the

next slide. Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy? Amen? Yep,

keeping something holy is setting apart, all right? So we

talked about this at length. Let's move on, okay. Now.

Exodus twenty eight, Chapter twenty eight, Verse three says you

shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I

filled with the spirit of wisdom, and that they make

errands garments to consecrate him, that he may minister to

me as priests. Now this is important. Now, God gave

gift things to all the people are artisans, right, so

that they could what could they do? They can consecrate

aaron the priests? Right? Do you know that how you

before the Lord is very important? Can you come to

me and like Chai like, oh yeah, God accept me

as I am kind of thing. I know. I think

there's a fine balancer because I feel that there's this

way sweeping across the church that's like, oh, you know,

I should just come as I am. God accepts me

as I am, right, and so therefore there is like

this is this whole idea of acceptance, you know, because

the world is saying you should accept everybody. But do

you know that God didn't just accept everything. God didn't

say if you can come into my temple to offer sacrifice.

You just wear whatever you want, wear your sleeper, wear

your T shirt with the holes in it. God says

you have to put on the priestly garment, put on

the effort, put on the thing, put bay first, priests,

before you come before the Lord, because God has an order.

God has an order, right, and and so the way

we come before him tells him how prepared we are.

Did you see that?

How you come before the Lord shows how prepared you

are to meet with the King of Kings and the

Lord of lords. And that's why as a church, right,

we encourage everyone a dress well, right, I know, outwardly

it's just an outward thing, but an outward expression sometimes

tell us of what's going on inside. Right, So we're saying, okay,

never mind, at least put on something presentable, because you're

presenting yourself before the Lord. You're not presenting yourself before

the leadership. Lillo, what can I do for you? I

cannot even give you blessing, I can't even heal you,

true not. Who are you coming before? That is something

that we ask ourselves, like, I'm coming before the Lord,

the King of Kings and the Lord of lords. Amen.

All right, So let's move on. Let's move on. Okay,

just want give you three thoughts. You know, as we

think about set apart. Right, I talked about identity. Yes,

what is your identity in the Lord? What is your identity?

What is your identity? You know that is going to

set you apart from the rest of your colleagues, the

rest of the business people, the rest of your neighbors.

What is gonna set you apart?

Okay?

So we read Exodus chapter nineteen, verse five to six.

Yes, so there's the.

Kingdom of priests and a holy nation. Can we read

First Peter chapter two? All right, First Peter chapter two,

Versus nine to ten, nine, nine to ten. Yeah, okay,

let's read this together so that you know what your

identity is. Okay, are you ready? Okay, let's go three

to one. But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood,

a holy nation, his own, special people that you may

proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of

darkness into his marvelous light. Let's move on. Who once

were not a people, but are now the people of God?

Who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Amen,

this is your identity. If you ever forget, can you

just go back to First Bitter Chapter, First Bitter two

nine and just say, Okay, this is who I am.

Whatever else that happens to you in this year, in

twenty twenty five, remember this.

This is your identity.

This is who you are. And nothing will change is Yeah,

whether the stock exchange crash or we all lose out.

If you have money, I don't know. Oh ouch, no,

don't touch that, whether anything else changed, the prices of

good go crazy, whether you're starving or you have abundance,

whether in sickness or in hell, does this change or not?

Because God's would never change. We will always be God's

chosen generation. We will always be His holy priesthood. Amen.

We're all We're called to this a royal priesthood.

Royalty. You know, hey, hello, did you know that you're royalty?

Your royal blood? So why you walk like you're not royal?

How the royal people let the royal way? Right? What

with confidence of who you are?

This year?

Amen, know that you are set apart for this all right,

his own special people again, God says again you are

special to him, right, Amen, Okay, I want to read

another verse. Are we okay? We're reading.

God's verse because it's his word to you. Let's read.

I can create this chapter six, verse seventeen, all right,

he says. Here therefore, come out from among them and

be separate, says the Lord. God's asking us to be separated.

That's what said. Apart is separate from everyone else around

us who do not believe the Lord. Do not touch

what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will

be a father to you, and you shall be my

sons and daughters, says a lot Almighty. Do you see

that God is consistent from Genesis all the way to

the New Testament. God is consistent. He's asking us to

continuously separate ourselves. Why do we want to be like

everyone else? I want to have the same hostile as

everyone else. I want to go to Japan like everyone else.

Anyone want to go Japan? Many have gone right and

want to go again, right. I want to be like

everyone else. But God is saying, don't be like everyone else.

Separate yourself. Don't touch what is unclean? What are things?

What are some unclean things?

Tell?

Tell me what are some unclean things that you know of.

What is it?

New virus? Oh hey, what HMPV was?

Or that one? Okay, that is uncleaner? True, don't touch it,

but you will come do youla or not some choy? Okay,

but the virus is there. Okay, we're your mass la now,

all right, but don't touch what is unclean? What else

is unclean? Think about it? Sin? Sin? Do you know?

It says? You know, there's one verse that says.

You know, love what is good, hate what is evil.

Yes, I think we all understand what loving what is

good means. Right.

We all can say, oh, I love what's good.

I love what's nice and beautiful and holy, think about

these things, right, But do we hate sin? I think

most of us are quite comfortable with some sin. True not.

I asked myself this, Am I really angry at sin? Am?

I like, oh I cannot hand say no, I'm like, okay,

sometimes we sin la. You know, do you know that

it was sin, that little sin that caused Jesus to

die in the cross, that painful death that we saw

just now in the movie right, the short one with

the deaf community. It was that little sin that he

had to go to the cross. And so sometimes we

have a very lachardsical attitude towards sin because we feel like,

a yeah, sin obinn It's okay, God, we'll forgive you. Yes,

God will forgive you if you confess and you repent

of that sin. But do you know that there is

this sense that I think, right, if you really want

to follow Jesus, this yere, there needs to be a

real anger, a real.

Loathsome against sin.

Because if we are not angry at sin, we are

not like disgusted we see, we will let it sit

in our lives, true or not. It's like, it's okay,

a little bit on you one, a little bit of dust,

It's okay, a little bit of mud, It's okay. A

little bit of poop, anyone of you, okay, with a

little poop of you, little pop on your hands, little

bit only little bit. I can't tell you zero point

zero one mm of poop on your hands, cannot cannot

wash you wash this. In fact, that's all some of

you are like, Okay, I'm gonna cut off their skins,

all dressinger right, And if you can view sin as

a little bit of pop, then you will begin to

look at sin very differently in your life. Now, it's

not just something that's okay. It's not okay. Sin is

not okay. Can I tell you that sin is not

okay in God's eyes? He died for the redemption of

your sin and my sin. I know. The question is like,

will we sin in life? Yes, we will, We will sin,

But I want us to have this sense of like

I have fallen God into sin and I need your

forgiveness right, and don't just let it sit and fester.

That's what happens, you know.

If there is an unconfessed sin in our lives, that's

what it does. It sits and it festers. And guess what,

you will attract more flies. You will attract other things

to come. If you don't deal with it straightway, you'll deal.

With something right.

If there's something dirt that is melly and that's sticky,

and you know sin is very sticky. Yes, sin in

our lives is very sticky.

What could it be?

I don't know. You you have to ask the Lord,

like God, what is that? What is a sin in

my life that I may not recognize? Is it not

putting you first? Is it having an idol in the

form of my children? I have to ask myself that question, like,

you know, whatever consumes your mind and your thought or

shoppy or to too treatrey for four, whatever consumes your mind,

that's your focus, right, And I've been guilty of this.

I'm like, oh God, I'm thinking about everything else except you.

It's true. And I'm like, God, the more I desire

to want to set apart myself or him, the more

all this distraction comes, the more all these temptations come.

Ah yeah, how It's like it's a fight, you know.

Daily it's a battle. It's a battle between God. I

want more of you. But many times I win. My

flesh wins. So I'm like, God, Okay, this year, I

really want to set apart. And so it's even sometimes

right between Netflix or Bible. But God, the whole day

already you know, well you see how she walk around

that clever right? How many times you're gonna wash chosen

every day for the rest of your life if you

do good? Right? Non, No, think about it. I'm being

very real because it's like every day, you know, it's like, Okay,

I told myself this. Okay, So if there's a New

Year resolutions, so sort of it's like, God, I want

to end my day with you, all right? I know

a sister just said, yeah, first and last.

Belongs to God. I'm like, oh, I want to get there.

I want to get there.

First.

First part of the day I got there right.

Last part of the day is to know yet, Okay,

so I'll confess my sin before you that. You know,

it's easier to just say, okay, let's just unwine, watch

some Netflix and then go to bit right. And then

so now there's this battle, like, oh no, do I

want the last thoughts of my mind before I go

into slumber to be about some hunk, some movie k

drama hunk. Or do I want to focus on God?

So I wrestle? Can I tell you I wrestle? Okay,

switch from the Netflix app to Bible app and say,

at least God, let me end my day with your

word in my spirit. Set yourself apart, setting apart that,

that's what it means, setting yourself about like God, I

want to set this part and setting apart right. It's

not just your physical but it's your focus, your mind,

your attention. What are you focusing on? That to me

is the greatest distraction our minds, right. What we feel

with something like God. If i'm it's definitely gonna save

my life. It's definitely gonna give me salvation. No, it's

gonna give me entertainment. It's gonna give me enjoyment. It's

not gonna change my life. And you know, the only

thing that changes our lives is the word of God. Yeah,

Romans want to say that do not be confirmed to

the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the

renewing of your mind. So I'm saying, God, what am

I feeding my mind? Hell? What am I feeding my mind?

Whatever that we are reading right now? You know, sometimes

you can listen to podcasts as you're driving, Right, what

what do you choose to listen? Are you gonna listen

to messages that will feed your spirit or you're gonna

hear news. I'm not saying it's nothing wrong with listening

to dews and others. There's many great like self help

or whatever whatever stuff. Right, I'm not saying that you cannot.

I'm just saying, what is your focus?

And if everything is of the world, then you will

be of the world.

It's a simple equation. Right, If you feel your mind,

your thought, your time with the things of the world,

you will be full of the world. But if you

set apart more time this year to say, I want

to focus in on the Word of God. I want

to focus in on worship. I want to focus in

on prayer. Guess what, You're strengthening your spirit, person, your

spirit man, That's how you get strong, That's how did

you want to see the power of God work in

your life? You know? I always pray this, like God, Look,

you know, I want to be you know, to be

able to prophesy, to be able to speak live, you know.

And but I'm like, if I'm not investing into my

spirit life, what kind of power do I have? It's

empty words, you know, there is no power. The only

power is when you're being filled with the Holy Spirit.

That's the only power. So my choice becomes, God, do

I feel my spirit or do I feel my flesh.

It's a choice. It's a choice. It's a choice that

all of us will have to make right. So our identity,

remember our identity. The second thing is destiny right. Why

you're being set apart? Why is important for this consecration,

this setting apart, this being made holy, is because then

God can use us. If I have a cup here,

write a mark and it's filled with ink, all right,

would you use it to drink to serve our express

you serve that or not? No, it's contaminated or you

feel it with long Kung water, like, hey, okay, what

brown color? Lo like coffee? You?

So you will not serve that to anyone.

Because it's contaminated. And so when our lives are contaminated?

Can God use us? Hadela? He's like, send for washing first, Hey,

can can use, but must wash first. Love, right, do

we throw away the monk just because it's free with

longung water? No, you can wash it first. And that's

why the whole consecration, the cleansing of yourself, the washing,

the bathing, the washing of your clothes, is that the

idea of it, the sanctification is saying every day we

are being washed. Every day we're being washed. This is

the process of sanctification, which is my third point, sanctity,

true sanctification. God. Every day he's like, I know you're

not perfect, but I want to perfect you. And so

every day becomes a choice for God to say, Okay,

I'm gonna clean this part of you oh this part this,

you're gotta stay there. Sometimes in your coffee cup the

Maybe that that part of the life right is like, okay,

it's longer than I scrub longer you can get the

dead out right? Do you know that you can? You

don't know. God is not in the business of throwing away,

but he's in the process of renewing. Amen. He's in

the you know the word salvation, Actually the root word

is salvage. Do you know how you salvage something. It

means that if there's a bag that is all and sport,

you salvage it, You repurpose it, you add new shine

to it, you polish it. It's different.

It's different than just throwing away. It's salvation.

Salvage means I make it new again, I make it

usable again. And that's what God wants for us our

destiny as believers. It's not so that we can just

be holy by ourselves. Okay, this is holy people. Okay,

you're just played by yourself. Just sing songs, holy people songs.

You know, just be good people are goody two shoes.

Right now, God is saying I'm setting you apart to

be holy so that God can use you. God can

pour out his spirit upon you to feel you so

that you can go out to the world and impact

the world. Amen, did you see the process? Do you

see the importance of being set apart? And this setting

apart right is not something that God can do. It's

something that we have to do. Yes, don't you know,

sometimes you say, but God, you know you never clean me. No.

God has already done his part, he said Jesus. The

justification of our sins has been dealt with. God has

gone to the cross paid it all. Everyone is at

the same level. But at the same level. God is saying, Okay, now,

the sanctification of it is up to you. It's up

to how you want to get your life right, how

you want to set apart your time, your talent, your treasure.

This is not something your goal force you to do. No,

he can't, he won't. He's a gentleman. He says, up

to you, if you would choose to obey, if it's

a choice to obey or disobey. No, do you know

there's a choice to obey or disobey. And God gives

us a choice, and so he wants to set us
