The title which is we are overcomers. Okay, come, let's
-
everybody say that we are overcomers. Some of you don't
-
believe in it. Let's try that again. We are overcomers.
-
And the subtitle is more than conquerors.
-
Okay.
-
Let's read Romans chapter eight, verse thirty one to thirty nine. Romans,
-
Chapter eight, So I hope you've got your Bibles. Please
-
turn to it. Don't just rely on the slide. Let's
-
do a little bit of flipping. Exercise your fingers a
-
little bit. I know they're tired from all the typing,
-
but it's going to be good. Romans chapter eight, verse
-
thirty one to thirty nine. Are you guys there yet?
-
Only only Elane is there? And passa Gloria? Are you
-
guys there yet? Oh man Excras, don't sleep on me.
-
I'm gonna read. Okay, what then shall we say to
-
these things? If God is for us, who can be
-
against us? Will such an awesome promiser? If God is
-
for us, who can be against us? Right, he who
-
did not spare his own son, but delivered him up
-
for us all. How shall he not with him also
-
freely give us all things? What shall bring a charge
-
against God's elect? It is God who justifies? Okay, And
-
what did you say next? Who shall bring?
-
Okay? Who is he who condemns?
-
It is it is Christ who died, And furthermore is
-
also raisen, who is even at the right hand of God,
-
who also makes intercession for us. You know that Christ
-
makes intercession for you somewhere's here? Maybe find it very
-
difficult to pray? Maybe you know, I hope this year
-
you will be you know, do you have prayer service here?
-
But the girl God, how many people nominally comes?
-
Ten?
-
I see more than ten we were here. Sorry, Yah,
-
side Jet side Jep. I hope you guys are okay
-
with that.
-
Oh.
-
By the way, you're in church, So if you cannot
-
take some of these comments, I'm so sorry, because you
-
come to church to do what to grow in your faith? Right,
-
It's like when you go to the gym. I don't
-
know that I have chat this here before I think I have. Right,
-
you'll remember, for those that remember, you come to church
-
to receive the word, So don't tarrasa. If you receive
-
the word because I'm not gonna come here and say,
-
you know what, guys, don't go prayer service, Okay, don't
-
go homes, don't come to Sunday.
-
And do you think I'm gonna say that?
-
You know if I start saying that, you gotta be
-
way careful because you came to church to receive the word.
-
You came to church to be challenged in your faith. Amen.
-
You came to church to be challenged. That's what you
-
came to church for.
-
It's like how when you go to the gym, right,
-
You don't go to the gym to expect to eat
-
a meal. You got to gym to exercise. You got
-
to gym, blue. Sweet, you know what's gonna happen if
-
you don't go in your faith. You're gonna come to
-
Passaga and say, Passa, I want my money back, right,
-
because I'm not growing faith.
-
You know, hey, we need growing our faith. Amen? Right?
-
So who shall separate us from the love of Christ?
-
Shall tribulation or distress, or persecution, of famine or nakedness
-
or peril assault as it is written? For your sake,
-
we are killed all day long. We are slaughtered as
-
sheep for the slaughter. Yet in all these things. We
-
are more than conquer us through Him who loved us
-
a man. For I'm persuaded. Neither death nor life, nor injels,
-
nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
-
nor hid nor death, nor any other created thing shall
-
be able to separate us from the Love of God,
-
which is in Christ, Jesus our Lord. Okay, so house,
-
you're twenty twenty five coming so far. Wow, that's awesome.
-
Those that say good, those that are still not sure,
-
I hope that you will receive something today.
-
They will encourage you. Amen.
-
Let me start with the bad news you onside the
-
good news of bad news outside. The bad news is like, okay,
-
the bad news is we will have trouble in the world.
-
Know that? Do you know that you have trouble? How
-
many if you hear things that you will not have trouble? One? Everybody?
-
You wake up? You know zimpathy do that. It's a
-
wonderful day.
-
My, oh my, what a wonderful day. Right, it's sunshine, rainbows. No, right,
-
some of us wake up like, oh man, up again? Stress,
-
have to go to work, have to get stuck in
-
the gym, Oh my goodness, Gem's worse now, school holiday,
-
so that not where I'm at. Okay, better for you,
-
but it's a school ho day for me, so anyway,
-
but we will have trouble, you'll know, right, Do you know?
-
Do you know that you have trouble?
-
Even if you're a Christian, even if you believe Jesus,
-
You've got trouble.
-
Do you know that?
-
I mean, if you didn't know that, let me tell you. Okay,
-
so far, based on what I understand and experience, I've
-
been living for forty two years. This year is my
-
forty third year leaving. Ready, even with Jesus, you still
-
have problems lack right, So if you're surprised that you
-
don't have problems, right, then you just got to wake
-
up todayla. Okay, we will face trouble in our lives.
-
It is a guarantee.
-
Wow. Ouch, that's the bad news air. Okay.
-
Job fourteen one says man is born of a woman.
-
How many of you here are born of women? Okay,
-
only pass the gloria the rest of we're not born
-
of women? Born of what but a woman? You wave
-
your hand? One of women? One of whomen? Yeah, you're
-
born of women? Right, I'm guessing unless it's immaculate. Even
-
the immigular birth is born of a woman. Okay, man
-
born of a woman. Or they covered everything. The Bible covered,
-
even Jesus man that is born of a woman. Is
-
a few days. Look at a neighbor and say you've
-
got a few days and full of trouble. Don't your
-
other neighbor, and the whole days will be full of trouble. Well,
-
then a lot of you toush wood friends, quite sad
-
life quite said first bitter fortune said, beloved, think it is?
-
Think it not strange concerning the fury trial, which is
-
to try you.
-
Fury trial.
-
Fire is hot, it's not good, right, but there's a
-
fairy trial to try you.
-
No.
-
And the interesting thing.
-
The Bible says is, hey, guys, don't think that it's
-
weird that you have a faury trial that is testing you.
-
Even today, it is not weird, right, as though some
-
strange things happened to you can let me address this.
-
A lot of times Christians we have this tendency. Maybe
-
it's the whole I don't know whether it's an Asian thing.
-
We live by marriage, your unself married?
-
Is I do right?
-
Something good happens? I do wrong, something that happens. So
-
sometimes can live under this. Well, I would say, lie,
-
and it's not true that, oh you know, I sin,
-
So that's why God is punishing me, you know. And
-
then when we do something that we shouldn't do and
-
then something bad happens, and then we think that that's
-
the case that God is punishing me because I sin. Friends,
-
can I let you know that it's not true? Don't
-
think that way. Do you know what happens if you
-
continue to believe in that, you will go further away,
-
further and further away from the Lord because it's not
-
about sinning, but it's about repentance and redemption. What happens
-
to you are is consequences God God already want us
-
ready right that there's trouble. So don't think that, oh
-
you know, I did everything right? What I You know
-
how many times as Christians we feel like that, oh Lord,
-
I did everything right. Well, I come to church, I
-
go to homes. You know, I'm a leader, I pray,
-
I fast. Why bad things still happen? Look at Joe,
-
bad things will happen, things still happen. Correct, So we
-
got to accept it, we gotta understand it.
-
We got to know it.
-
I see a lot of you here, probably maybe one
-
or two campus students, but you know a lot of
-
you here. I will say, eat more rice than sound.
-
The young people sorry, in more sortness, and the young
-
people it rise. A third always use right, Yeah, I
-
love your your love rice skate and it. Let's not
-
go Let's not go there. Um let's read second second
-
rins Form eight nine says we're hot, pressed from on
-
every side, yet not crushed. We are perplexed, but not
-
in despair, persecutor not for sakens, struck down but not destroyed.
-
Just because something bad happens, it doesn't mean you need
-
to give up and throwing the towel, coray. Not just
-
because something bad happens, Just because you didn't get what
-
you want, Just because maybe twenty twenty four you'll believing
-
for something great and it didn't happen, doesn't mean that
-
we should give up, give up.
-
Lah, you know something like that.
-
I'm like that, you know something arguing with my wife. Okay, however,
-
I don't talk radio whatever. You know, sometimes you get
-
to that frustrated stage. You know, well I need to
-
grow from that, right, and like you just go like whatever,
-
John sixteenth, Andrey says these things.
-
I've spoken to you that in me you have peace
-
in the world.
-
You will have tribulation, not even trouble, friends, tribulation, Going
-
google what tribulation means? Not fun, It's beyond trouble, it's
-
beyond challenging in the world. Your tribulation, but be of
-
good cheer. I have overcome the world.
-
Wow.
-
Wow, there's a promise. You know, there's a promise. Who
-
is the one that said that?
-
Jesus? I'm guessing. I'm assuming all.
-
Of us you are believers, right, all of us you
-
are believing in Jesus. I'm assuming. Okay, gous, I cannot
-
you know, but I just assume. Do you know that
-
he has overcome the world. Therefore you can overcome the world.
-
Therefore you can overcome your problems. Therefore you can overcome
-
whatever that you're facing. Thankfully, Jesus overcame the world, thankfully.
-
And because he overcame the world, there is power, willediness
-
to also overcome our challenges. Okay, power, weediness? What does
-
power mean?
-
Power? Authority?
-
A lot of these things, right, can be something that
-
is uh, well, I wouldn't say unexplainable, but you know,
-
try and explain this a little bit. You know, when
-
we think about power, it's not just like, oh power,
-
you know, power, the Holy Spirit.
-
It's not just like that.
-
Friends, you know, it's not just that when we talk
-
about power something like you talk about ability. Right, I'm
-
sure Benny knows a lot about ability. Of course you
-
exercises and white thai, right is it jujitsu?
-
Okay?
-
Maybe the first day when he went into the jiu
-
jitsu his white belt. Everything else you cannot do, right,
-
how many years ago?
-
Is that? Eleven years ago?
-
Now?
-
What belt? Huh? Purple?
-
After this is brown? After that is like how many
-
before it was white? So eleven years you got to purple,
-
so it was white? Then then what eleven years? Only
-
jump tooth colors?
-
And he.
-
No, I know, I know, I'm saying. I'm not saying
-
that you're slow. I'm saying that it takes that long.
-
So another ten years he's going to be black. Then
-
you better not mess with him many actually even now,
-
so don't mess with him. Right, But it takes time
-
for us to grow in our ability, amen, grow in
-
our faith, grow in our belief right, right, So what
-
are we overcoming? Friends, We're overcoming the world. What is
-
the world. It is an ideology, It is a way
-
of life. It is a doctrine. Right, you know heard
-
about doctrine. You're not doctrine means doctrine means a way,
-
you think? Right, which way do we believe or apply?
-
We got to decide. Is it God's way, the world's way?
-
God said in his word pray for the sake by
-
Jesus stripes. We are healed, and we have to decide.
-
And when I say this, our friends, don't get me wrong.
-
I'm not saying don't go to the doctor, don't take
-
your medicine, don't go and find out. No no no, I'm
-
not saying, oh they don't go for treatment, No no,
-
no no. However, God said then you better follow. But
-
I'm not saying that. All I'm saying is that we
-
can believe in that. But sometimes we can be very
-
selective in our belief. You know, we can pray for
-
a job, you know, pray for something and when it
-
doesn't happen, and then.
-
All hell breaks loose, right, you know, we get disappointed.
-
Do you know that we can also overcome the world
-
because Christs overcome the world.
-
Why do we say that.
-
Well, again, I assume all of us here are believers.
-
So what is a believer not just a believer, but
-
a disciple of Christ?
-
Right?
-
Because God said, God, therefore and make disciples. Jesus way man,
-
he made disciples. So here in X we believe in
-
making disciples, not just follow us, making well, not follow us,
-
not fans follow us, right disciples, people that will do practice,
-
profess right, live the life, not just say on it. Oh,
-
I'm my name is Elvin. I have a Christian name.
-
So I come to church because of that. No, I
-
believe in Jesus. So I practice what I believe right,
-
and it takes time. It's tough, it's hard, right, it's
-
not easy. Right, we don't just say we do what
-
we say right. And because Christ have overcome the world,
-
I believe I can overcome the world. I can overcome
-
the challenges in the world right, whether it's physical, natural
-
challenges or spiritual challenges.
-
You'll catch that.
-
First John five four five says four whatever is born
-
of God overcomes the world world. That's a very very
-
powerful statement. What are you born off? What are you
-
born off? It's very powerful when the Bible uses the
-
term born why because when you are born, you are.
-
It's a birth, you know.
-
That's why the term that he used with Nicodemus is
-
born again, because you're born Rhema.
-
Right, we're all physically born into this world. Right.
-
But then when you say born again, it is spiritual rebirth.
-
The ideas that I used to have is different now.
-
The identity that used to have is different now, right.
-
That's why baptism is significant. How many of you baptize it?
-
Right?
-
Those that haven't baptize it, I will encourage you to
-
go through it. Why because it is not just a
-
practice or no. There is a significance in baptism because
-
we say we die to self and we live in Christ.
-
You'll catch that, right, It's a different birth. So if
-
you're born of God, then truly we follow Christ. Like
-
when I say follow, not just follow in action, but
-
following everything else. Nowe with authority as well, with the
-
power as well. Right, And this is the victory that
-
has overcome the world. First John four or five.
-
Our faith.
-
So what has overcome the world? Our faith has overcome
-
the world.
-
Our faith.
-
Who is he who overcomes the world, But he who
-
believes that Jesus is the son of God. A lot
-
of people believe that He is a lot of things.
-
So today I will ask you this question, who do
-
you believe Christ is?
-
Firstly? Second is who do you believe Christ is in
-
your life? Do you know why? That is important?
-
Because it is very hard to practice what Christ teaches
-
if we don't fully believe in him. Christianity is not
-
just a lifestyle now, friends, it is a relationship with God.
-
That is the lifestyle, right because the relationship got will
-
make the lifestyle happen. It's not just a lifestyle in oh,
-
I'm a Christian therefore I no, no, no, it's not
-
just a lifestyle practice. It's a lifestyle that is a relationship.
-
And why is the relationship important? Because we are let
-
me ask you a question or I just got this revelation?
-
Why is the relationship your parents important?
-
Again?
-
If you are you know you, maybe you are from
-
a single family or whatever it is? Why pretty aside,
-
But why is your relationship with your parents important? Idea
-
your mommy or dad? Why was it important when you
-
were young?
-
Think about it?
-
Maybe because when you were young you needed more guidance.
-
Maybe when you're young, when you were young, you needed
-
more help. Maybe when you were young, you needed more direction.
-
You needed to learn things like self control. You needed
-
to learn different things, and you need to learn from somewhere.
-
Con That's why reship relationship is important, because, man, I
-
tell you, if I get I may I have two
-
young sons. If I get one ring getter for every
-
time I tell my son to do something and he
-
immediately does it, right, oh my goodness, I'll be a
-
rich man. Right, I'm not rich because he I tell
-
him ten times long and he still doesn't do it.
-
I've been telling him to do something for years and
-
he still doesn't. You do it, But I still tell
-
him because I got relationship with him. Now you know
-
why our relationship with Christ important because he guides us,
-
he leads us. You won't listen to someone that you
-
got no relationship with, you know, do you know that?
-
Or you've got a horrible relationship with you know, you
-
won't listen to them. But when you have a good
-
relationship with someone, you will listen.
-
Right.
-
I know all of you here will listen to Pasta
-
Gloria because he's such an awesome pastor and you'll have
-
awesome relationship with her.
-
Right. So that's the thing it's how it is.
-
That's why God chose us relationship rather than rules and regulations.
-
Are friends when you come inside here, please wear suit
-
and you know no no, no friends. If we run
-
by rules and regulations, are all of us fail? Ready?
-
I fail?
-
Ready?
-
I feel a long time ready. Okay, thank God. It's relationship,
-
not just rules and regulations. So question, friends, are we
-
born of God? Because if you are not, then today
-
we have to decide. I want to be born of God.
-
It's just it's a decision. The Bible says that we
-
are born again transform friends. Our lives are transformed through
-
Christ Jesus. That is what happens.
-
Amen.
-
First John four one for let's read that. Are you
-
guys getting something from this? Only Edward and passa Gloria.
-
The rest are still quiet. I'm so sorry. In PJ right,
-
a lot of people, so we have to single out.
-
But here it's not as many, so you know, so
-
I can see who are not responding to me.
-
It's okay, It's okay, and very nice. One I think believed.
-
Do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits whether
-
they are of God. Because many false prophets have gone
-
out into the world. Okay, let me teach you something
-
that I really well, not really practice, but I learned
-
from this. Okay, if you don't believe what I say today,
-
test it.
-
Test it. Oh this is born again thing said away,
-
I don't understand.
-
No, no, test it. Don't test me. Test it you'll get
-
you'll get it. You don't test the messenger. You know
-
you test the message true, No, away, pray for the sick,
-
can get human test it. This is how confident I am.
-
Can I've done it before. Maybe in the beginning. Don't
-
know that's a nice We're like, oh you know it
-
got timing. No, no, no, no, no, it can really happen. When
-
right can really happen? One can heal one? God can
-
heal one?
-
Amen?
-
Test it and do not believe every spirit your cash
-
What I mean by Bible says again? Now, when when
-
we when the Bible talks about spirit, it's not like oh,
-
when slippings and you wake out, then there's this white
-
colored cloth. No no, no, no. Everything you hear online, everything
-
you see, even in the faith, test it.
-
Test it.
-
Don't just believe blindly, test it for yourself. Test and
-
see that the Lord is good. How do you fully
-
know that God is good unless you test yourself and
-
you experience yourself. Do you know how powerful this faith
-
is that I'm not just saying, hey, guys, just trust me. No, no, no,
-
please don't trust me. Trust God. That's him.
-
Oh, t'st me. I'll feel that's the crazy thing about
-
our faith. No, I don't know that we've really thought
-
truly it is not.
-
Our faith is the only faith right that allows you
-
to test it. I will not any other faith allows
-
you to do that, not or they will straight are
-
you test your test and see there we come and
-
punish you. Hey, hello, test lot. If you think this
-
don't work, then fine, go do something else.
-
But it works, then.
-
Believe test it right, whether I've God, that's what. Whether
-
it's from God or not very important. So give you
-
a tip, passa Gloria. I just got this new job.
-
I don't know why, whether God giving me or not.
-
Test it.
-
If the job is going to take you more away
-
from church, do you think that is from God? Because
-
God doesn't lead you to a place that you don't
-
need him anymore, that's reality?
-
Why?
-
Because He still wants to have a relationship with you.
-
How many of you here have a family member, whether
-
it's a child or a mom, want to come to
-
a place where you don't need them anymore. Wow, sounds so,
-
said Laselven. But that's true sometimes the way we treat God,
-
aren't we his children born again? Why we're so fast
-
to find what we like and cut and survey the relationship?
-
By this?
-
You know, the spirit of God? See why tests because
-
then you will know who God is. You will know
-
how to recognize God's voice. You will know when I'm here,
-
this is God's presence, not other presents. Right, We've got
-
to test it. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ
-
has come in the flesh is of God. What spirits
-
are out there right now? What spirits are we listening
-
to right now? Do you know that they are a
-
lot of people who profess that they are believers, but
-
then they profess other things.
-
Oh, Jesus is just a good teacher. Don't have to
-
follow one? Now? Why it is so extreme? You know?
-
God made you know? I mean, I don't know, I'm
-
just creating stuff. I have not seen or read any
-
of these. Kase, I got no time, okay. And every
-
spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come
-
in the flesh is not of God.
-
We're clear. The Bible is very clear. Right.
-
And this is the spirit of the anti Christ, which
-
you have heard was coming and is now already in
-
the world. Here ready, friends, here, ready, just going on
-
the TV. You'll see all these things on YouTube. You'll
-
see all these things here already. Okay, you are of God,
-
little children, and have overcome them.
-
Amen, you have overcome them.
-
Right, because he who is in you is greater than
-
he who is.
-
In the world. Wow, such a powerful scripture.
-
He who is in you, you have Jesus in you
-
this morning. He who is in you is greater than
-
he who is in the world. So, friends, we are
-
worn to test the spirits, and we are taught to
-
discern the fruit of people. We are taught where Mantel
-
seven sixteen twenty you will know them by their fruits?
-
Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes? Or fixed from disus?
-
I use this example the last time I appreciates. Okay,
-
do we gather durian from cow grass or mango stein?
-
From trying to think of a tree that have no fruit?
-
On m poison? Ivy?
-
No, right, we don't, right, imagine sitting in the crowd
-
grass and looking at it and saying, duriant, please come out.
-
People look at you go crazy? Are you right? So
-
we need to test?
-
Even so, every good tree best good fruit, but a
-
bad tree beast bad fruit. A good tree cannot bad
-
bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bad good fruit.
-
Every tree that does not bad good fruit is cut
-
down and throwing into the fire. Therefore, by their fruits
-
you will know them. I will share this perspective because
-
it's something I've learned and something I well, I guess
-
I'm confident to say this.
-
You can judge me. Buy my fruit? How what's that? Now?
-
You mean you plant banana tree at home? No? No, no, no, no.
-
People I hang out with the people I disciple. How
-
are they? I mean you might not know them because
-
it's gas, you know, but how are they? Are they
-
good people? Are they angry people? Are the people that
-
will bless others? Or are the people that are.
-
Difficult to deal with? That's my fruit, right?
-
Why because I sow into their lives side right, So
-
you can judge me by that right And that's how
-
you know.
-
All pass the gloria. You can see what is the
-
fruit she's producing. Right.
-
Likewise, all of us also producing something. So we flip
-
it a little bit. And I'm not I'm not here
-
to wag any of you. Please please REMEMBND said we're
-
grow in our faith. Likewise, how to know whether or
-
not we are producing good fruit? Look at the fruit
-
we produce around us. Okay, I'll say this way, and
-
I hope none of you, well I know none of
-
you are like that, or you look like really awesome people. Okay,
-
I use myself for example. Okay, I think I'm sure
-
before that I'm I have an anger problem. It does
-
come out emotional anger. I can say a lot of
-
things are oh you know, I got a lot emotion
-
damage when I was young, stuff like that. Right, And
-
and the thing is that I've learned is that you know,
-
have you hang out with a person that every time
-
had a person, you don't hang out a person costs everything.
-
The person's right angry one. Right, you don't hang out
-
a person because the person's always angry. And then when
-
you hang out a person, you so you know, I
-
am not a nice person. Right, that's the fruit the
-
person produces. Imagine you come to every situation and it
-
gets worse quite that, right, I'm not pointing at it,
-
but reflect reflect Am I bringing peace to the situation? Right?
-
And you know some of these friends everywhere, these person
-
goes at what everybody's had you And I'm not talking
-
about please don't get me wrong in terms of personality type.
-
You know sometimes we use that term. Oh no, this
-
person's personalities right, bubbly and right?
-
No, no, no, I'm not talking about that. A lot
-
of people who are bubbly are may not have any fruit.
-
Just because everyone want to talk to them doesn't mean
-
that they are producing anything, you know, So don't be
-
deceived by personality or what is on the outside, because
-
it takes time to grow fruit.
-
What is the person producing? Right? Or maybe are not
-
producing anything? Not gonna go? So?
-
So friends, can I encourage you? And can I challenge you?
-
What are you producing? How are the people around you?
-
How are your family members? Do they want you around
-
or not?
-
I hope they do? One think about it? Right? How
-
are your I don't know, home members. You know, you
-
don't have to be the most happening person. No, don't, don't.
-
Don't get me wrong. But what is the fruit you're producing? Right?
-
It's something for us to consider. Right, I think about it.
-
You know, I have this statement, a life statement that
-
I want. I want to grow older to be the
-
friendly uncle and that anybody can approach. Why because I
-
have a reputation. Okay, there's a small moon nowadays. I
-
have a reputation since growing up that I'm very garn
-
until today.
-
Tyrell knows Chirsty what with me? So you guys get
-
all me on.
-
Okay, I have a reputation, right, I can't change that,
-
you know. So I pray that I will grow old
-
to be a friendly uncle. That it's not you know,
-
I mean, you've seen those like friendly uncles. You've also
-
seen those grumpy ancles. I want to be more friendly
-
uncle than grumpy anclor. So I keep telling myself that
-
don't be grumpy, you know, don't be be nice enough
-
that people want to call you, approach you. Right, and
-
that's the fruit I want to build, right I guys, Okay,
-
so we're all overcomers, amen, we're all overcomers.
-
Right. Let me share you a testimony about overcoming.
-
So I think twenty twenty twenty two, my so my
-
mom shared a little bit. My mom was diagnosed well
-
not diagnosed my mom had breast cancer.
-
Right, and unfortunately she was not my late mom.
-
And unfortunately she was not you know, she had her
-
own challenges and fears, and she decided not to go
-
Western medicine style, you know. And she found out actually
-
during the pandemic. But she didn't well, not say that,
-
she didn't do anything. She went another direction. Now, okay,
-
and I only got to find out about it in
-
twenty twenty one. Okay, by the time, we had no
-
idea how bad it was or how challenging it was
-
and all, but it was bad, redilar and it came
-
to a point mid twenty twenty two, man, I should
-
convince her to go and see a doctor, and she
-
convince her to at least get some medical help and
-
all right, uh and uh and and the plan was
-
she wanted to go see my brother, my brother's overseas
-
uh in New Zealand at the time, uh, you know there.
-
And the plan was to go and see him for
-
a month and then come back. Okay, but actually it
-
was quite bad ready, right, And I remember talking busses
-
and raw because again passes, they they walked different different
-
as I did.
-
Ask I said past her, what's the worst case scenario.
-
How would I know?
-
And I remember Pasted telling me the pain would come
-
and you'll be unbearable, and that is a sign. I'm like, okay,
-
you know, so I of course pray, believe, you know,
-
ask God to open doors, and and try my best
-
to be the peacemaker. So I spent time with her
-
and all. And during this moment, I knew in my
-
heart of hearts that it was not great. Okay, I knew,
-
and and to me it's like, okay, I'm my eldest
-
son and this my mom. I told her I would
-
respect your wishes. I'm not going to force you to
-
do anything. But at the same time, I also need
-
to figure out what I need to do in that situation.
-
So I remember God told me during my quiet time,
-
minister to her. I'm like, huh, minister, my mom. I
-
know I'm a pastora, but he's my mom.
-
Come on, right. But the word came minister to her.
-
I'm like, okay, minister, so minister, spend time, take up
-
my can talk to her right. And the plan was
-
in November, she was going to go for a month
-
and then come back and then go and see so
-
I men should get her a home busit in October
-
and basically.
-
Just to put her fears to rest.
-
So I spent a lot of time my mom to
-
try and get her to seek medical attention, all right,
-
But I didn't know how bad it was because for
-
two months before the flight to she's been having pain every.
-
Night, cannot sleep.
-
She didn't tell anyone, I'm not spaying Treasuore, it's like
-
next level. Okay, they say that women's trashold right as
-
I can go to child both more strong air guy
-
guys spain a bit cannot Editan know, you want to
-
end it, all right, right? So so what happened was
-
I ministered to her. And when I say ministry, it
-
just means assurance. Now I remember a few conversations I
-
had my mom assurance talking to her. I said, Mom,
-
you know, if you see a light, go towards it.
-
How can the sun say things like that?
-
Why? Because she needed to be at peace, I said, hey,
-
all of us are grown up. You get to see
-
your you know, grandchildren. Really we'll be fine.
-
I'll make sure I take you out, you know, all
-
these different things so that she is at rest. And
-
I remember leading leading to the time where.
-
She had to fly.
-
She was really at peace and happy and all and said, Okay,
-
we're gonna come back and see how And and my
-
mom hates the hospital. She because my grandma also went
-
through breast cancer and I this ideed know I found
-
out later.
-
And she was.
-
Depressed after the surgery because they had to cut off
-
some things, you know, So it was tough. It was tough,
-
and she didn't want that at all. She's like, no,
-
you know, Jesus will heal me. You know, I will
-
be fine. Okay, I also believe in that, but we'll see.
-
So I remember sending her to the airport with my dad.
-
Uh and yeah, you know, I kind of knew in
-
my heart of hearts that I don't know whether that
-
will be the last time I sent them laugh. So
-
I did my best and then she went and unfortunately
-
the pain was so unbearable. She was only there for
-
a week and then had to fly back emergency, well
-
not emergency fly, but fly back and did something you
-
might not know because the PJA one will know a
-
little bit more because during this period of one month,
-
I shared with them on the flight back to Malaysia
-
and it was a twelve hour flight. I think eight
-
to twelve hour of flight from New Zealand to Malaysia,
-
she had a seizure on the plane. Actually she had
-
five seizures in a plane and they had to do
-
it emergency landing drama. So they had an emergency landing
-
in Brisbane right one hour away from New Zealand. And
-
there were different things that of course could say, you know,
-
you know, God got it because so happened on the plane.
-
There were five doctors and one of the doctor was
-
a neurosurgeon, and they had a medication to help with
-
the seizure.
-
So happened.
-
So I'm like, I think about it, I'm like, okay, crazy,
-
but thank God. And then of course they were deciding
-
Bali or Brisbane. And of course I don't really need
-
to go into details on which healthcare might be better
-
lat Okay, So long story shot, they landed, went to
-
the hospital, choose me my dad right, and then think
-
about this way, I'm not very rich, friends, I'm full
-
time Okay, I'm not full time pastor, but I work
-
for organization and I'm not from a rich family. Okay,
-
So I mean we're okayla okay. But I can't just
-
fly anywhere really nearly if you get what I mean, right,
-
So think about this way. My parents, not young are
-
in Brisbane, my younger brother is in Perth, my second
-
brother is in New Zealand. They just saw them and
-
send them back. I'm in Malaysia and this emergency happened. Wow,
-
crazy half.
-
Right?
-
Uh, A lot happened. Let's just say for one month
-
I was stressed out. So it was in November actually
-
not November, mid November or near and November, and then
-
it was like how do we get them back and all?
-
And it's quite challenging because she had seizures in the plane.
-
They didn't know how to deal with it, and she
-
couldn't fly back to Malaysia.
-
No, and uh.
-
And the other challenge was every night in Australia because
-
my parents are not insured. Well, we bought travel insurance,
-
but travel insurance you have to pay first. And in
-
the end they didn't you know, they didn't claim. We
-
couldn't claim trivial insurance. Okay, let's just say it was
-
a very stressful period. And every night I remember it
-
was how much Aussie dollars are I think it was
-
two point eight k ringedler.
-
Every night she's there yeah, every night. The building thing
-
so so so a lot of confusion. I mean, I
-
won't go too much? Did that?
-
I don't have time. A lot of confusion, A lot
-
of like what do we do? Who's going to go there?
-
Do I fly? Let's go and get a visa, you know.
-
Then found out that Australia suddenly after COVID decided to
-
close your doors, we had to get visa, you know,
-
I had I went to the Australian Commission and he
-
was long, and they said to make an appointment and
-
a lot of drama.
-
How much you say to go?
-
It was December, Christmas to Brisbane is expensive. Yeah, all
-
these different things happen.
-
It's tough. How do you overcome? I don't know, right,
-
I don't know.
-
I mean, thankfully I had a good extra family, very
-
you know, encouraging, pass us over, very understanding.
-
And I had to work, well kind of work, no work.
-
You know.
-
I was given like some form of like a relief
-
if I need it. But can I just sit down
-
and think about the problem? Right, So just go to
-
work lad from one week to two weeks. See, we're
-
trying to figure out how no figure out a few things,
-
figure out because we're not there. So in the end,
-
my brother from Perth, because he was in Australia, he
-
went and I was waiting for my visa and then
-
in the end I managed to get my visa, but
-
then it didn't make sense to go, so I thought,
-
I wait here and then received them all these different things. Okay,
-
and my dad was there, you know, I mean God
-
was good. There was a church contact there and then
-
they really helped the care. And then we had different friends.
-
But from one week to two weeks, and then two weeks, yeah,
-
let's fly back because she cannot fly back normally. Sure, right,
-
So I had to go from medical thing and the
-
medical thing calls about a means thinker. He basically ranges
-
from ten thousand Aussie to one hundred thousand or zila norminalation.
-
Now you'll complay yourself, but we makes you figured got
-
one out for about I think fifteen thousand Aussie Okay,
-
to get the nurse to fly back my mom and
-
stuff like that. So on the day it's supposed to
-
come and I'm supposed to you know, pick it up, like, yeah,
-
there's a plan two weeks okay, two weeks has a
-
plan lo and behold, I get a text in the
-
morning at six your mom has COVID. She cannot leave
-
the hospital. What apparently they put her with some COVID patients.
-
I don't know why.
-
Yeah, yeah, a lot of drama. Okay, I was gonna
-
fetch them ide you know. Wow, Friends, I can tell
-
you and then you can all have to do it
-
for COVID another two weeks.
-
Now two point it ring it, two point it caring it.
-
I think if I come to total hospital bill, I
-
could buy a house to day. No, not house that
-
now now now that time, go by house. Now it's
-
one hundred eighty thousand around there around there. Okay, stressful,
-
We're stressful. There were nights where I'll wake up at
-
six am and I just don't want to pray. You know,
-
you thought after two weeks it'll be like, oh yeah,
-
we're done and then hah hah hah hello, huh how
-
thankfully the nurse said, there min will wait.
-
Wait.
-
My mom was there for a month before they manished
-
we men should get her flight. Had to change flight.
-
Oh no, at six am? When then that's going to
-
pick her up? Then they say she got COVID. Can
-
I release frost men frost. There were nights I'll prostrate
-
on the floor and just pray, God, have mercy, God
-
have mercy.
-
Three. Do you all know what the team of twenty
-
twenty two is? Do you remember?
-
Do you remember?
-
Is it?
-
No? I think that's twenty twenty two. He was twenty
-
twenty three, Yeah, twenty twenty two.
-
Is God is able?
-
I remember praying in January, God, I want to experience
-
you know, I want to experience friends. Nothing happened through
-
the year, nothing happened.
-
This happened in December. We can overcome. Can I tell
-
you that?
-
Although I was stressed in all deep in my heart
-
of hearts, I knew that God was going to do
-
something before the year ends.
-
But I don't know what or how.
-
But deep in my heart has deep I say, deep,
-
you know, like I don't share this to anybody deep
-
because if you do, then you'll be seen as a
-
crazy person.
-
Right. I knew God.
-
I know You're not gonna let me go to next
-
year with this hanging in my back. But I just
-
trust in you. She came back a week before Christmas,
-
went to the hospital. One whole week in hospital, A
-
lot of drama again during that time, I had to
-
wait with her in the emergency.
-
The doctor say, she, okay, what can you send back.
-
We've got all the documents, you know, all the documents,
-
you know, brain scan and everything. They didn't even look
-
at it because it was not a transfer. Different things
-
like okay. One week in the hospital. Doctor came to
-
a point where again different things happened during that period,
-
which I can't go too deep into. Of course, if not,
-
we won't be we will go back. A lord of
-
drama happened.
-
In the end.
-
The doctor said, sena home. She doesn't want to be here.
-
She actually came back because when she had sez she
-
was gone in the mind. But then she came back,
-
and then that last week she was around. Then after
-
that she had a nice seizure in the hospital somewhere Tuesday,
-
I actually had a Christmas thing with Ai and I
-
had to leave halfway to the hospital to see her.
-
Right and then they put her in the highway dependency
-
ward and then the doctors came to a point where
-
they say, hey, you know it's pallilative care, meaning bring
-
her home. She says she wants to die at home.
-
We all know because in Australia they did a scan
-
in the brain. They found like five different spots, so
-
it kind of spread to the brainy. But because there
-
was no official diagnosis, she didn't know to do a biopsy.
-
They didn't want to say anything.
-
Okay, but we all know lah right, So.
-
That happened Friday. We got a call doctor say tomorrow
-
come but not a lot of us. So I was
-
waiting for the call. On the twenty fourth of December,
-
waiting for the call. Okay, Christmas Eve, uh and uh.
-
Suddenly my brother got a call called me said the
-
doctor say come now. And during the time, I really
-
was ready to receive her into my home. Ready, So
-
we got a medical bit. We were gonna arrange for
-
a lot of rashla. We're gonna arrange for our nurse
-
to come and take care. And then again I had
-
two young kids in my house, so I'm like, well,
-
I don't know how to deal with this, but just
-
do it anyway. And I remember el lersl they were
-
helping us out. So they went to Ikia to buy
-
a buy a sofa bit for the nurse and all.
-
So they were helping, said, and then I got, of course,
-
some friends will help. Doctor Jason Chin came help, say, hey,
-
I don't know how to do this. You know you
-
are familiar with all the government hospital processor you come
-
and help me, And I say, can't.
-
No problem came eleven o'clock, got a call my brother.
-
Doctor say come now, you don't know happen when I
-
brought my dad went there, cried all the way to
-
the hospital, saw my brother there, and.
-
My mom passed on on Christmas Day? Right, why am
-
I sharing this to you? Oh? Said sorry and said
-
I'm still here.
-
Got to care of quite a lot of things, got
-
paid the hospital bill. We were able to negotiate with
-
the hospital to settle the bill for fifteen thousand US
-
dollars because that's all the money we had. No different
-
ones contributed different ones. There was a fund raison going
-
to the side differm our friends so that we managed
-
to cover that bill. So it was done before before
-
In December, I wrote to the hospital. They say, okay,
-
my dad was safe, thankfully, and my mom didn't have
-
to suffer anymore.
-
On the day I was supposed to take her.
-
Home, got took her home, said but everything closed before
-
twenty three came. I can just imagine and I don't
-
say this because I'm uh how to say. I don't
-
say this because I don't care, but I can just
-
imagine the amount of trouble or pain or stress I
-
will still have if my mom still carry on being
-
around in pain. It was tough now, friends, It's a
-
story that I think I've not really shed in full detail, well,
-
although not all full detail until today. God took my
-
mom home, she said, peace got closed the chapter before
-
the new started.
-
Right.
-
I knew in my heart of hearts taking care of
-
you know, giving gallilative care to a dominantly impatient is
-
not easy. And me and my wife we were like,
-
I don't know how we're gonna do it, but we're
-
gonna figure it out now. So I didn't really have
-
to go through that, got paid the bill. We were
-
not in that, uh, and we overcome. Friends, what I'm
-
not sharing this story you to tell you I got
-
a lot of drama. You know, I got a lot
-
of other drama stories that that has happened in my life.
-
But I'm still here. I thank god, damn still here.
-
I thank god.
-
I'm still happy. Well adjusted the term right, well adjusted?
-
You I think I don't think I'm well adjusted, but anyway,
-
So friends, what is it you're going through. I want
-
to let you know that you can overcome.
-
I don't know. I don't know.
-
It might not have happened yet. Because my story in
-
the year I still remember. After I finished it, God,
-
I pray in January, then December your move. Then now
-
I can say, God is able, not fun at all.
-
So when you pray, a Lord, please do something in
-
my life, be very careful pray for it will happen.
-
Right.
-
But we have overcome. Let me shure you what is
-
the reward for overcomers. Revelations three, nineteen twenty one says,
-
as many as I love, I rebuild and chasten. Therefore,
-
be zealous and rapent. Behold, I stand at the door,
-
and not if anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
-
I will come in to him and dine with him,
-
and he with me. To him who overcomes, I will
-
grant him to sit with me on my throne, as
-
I also overcame and sat down with my father on
-
his throne. Revelations three five says he who overcomes shall
-
be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot
-
out his name from the book of life. But I
-
will confess his name before my Father and before his
-
angels revelations. Chetaill of he who overcomes. I will make
-
him a bill, and the temper of my God. He
-
shall go out on nor more. I will write on
-
him the name of my God and the name of
-
the city of my God, the New Jerusalem, which comes
-
out down of heaven from my God. And I will
-
write on him my new name. Amen, you want to
-
sit at the trone with Christ. Very interesting, he says,
-
he who overcomes shall be cloth in white gums. I
-
will not blot out his name from the Book of Life.
-
I read this, and I'm like, why did God said?
-
Why didn't God say I will write his name in
-
the Book of Life Instead, It says, I will not
-
blot out Do you know why? Because friends, your name
-
is already there. But this means your name's ready there.
-
I know your name is ready in the Book of Life.
-
All our names are ready in the Book of Life.
-
The only question is are we going to overcome the world?
-
So it's not about whether we qualify, because we already qualified.
-
But it's a question on whether or not we will
-
be fitful. And my Encouragehman is be fitful. You already
-
receive and revelations. Treat Ub says, he overcomes, I will
-
make him a pillar in the temper of God. This
-
is the Let me go a little bit deep into this.
-
What I caught from this is that you see this
-
is this is not a pillow. I thought it's a pillar. Okay,
-
I got pillar, della pill What does a pillar doer
-
for a building?
-
Support? Right? Support?
-
Right? A pillar is support right? If you knock down
-
the pillow, what's gonna happen the second floor? A tumble
-
lie means basic right? Who are the pillars in next
-
to us?
-
You catch that.
-
He who overcomes, I will make him a pillar in
-
the temple of my God. Friends, I want to encourage you.
-
Can you be a pillar in this place? You know
-
what else a pillar does? When you have a pillar right,
-
you can lean on the pillar right. Other people can
-
lean on you when you are a pillar, when you're strong.
-
When they are weak and you're strong, they can lean
-
on you. But if there's no pillars in the house,
-
how is the house going to stand? If there's no
-
pillars here, how is the pillar going to stand? Do
-
you know that this place will be stronger when we
-
have more pillars. If it's just past the gloria e lene.
-
Now two pillow on me. You put a flat fronder
-
thing will flip left or right. You put four on
-
ego four. But if it gets more heavy, then you'll tumble.
-
But imagine if there's many many pillars at the site, wow,
-
where they have to break. Man, can you be a
-
pillar in this place? Can you rise up this year?
-
Can you take up leadership? Can you say, yeah, I
-
want to self with the little I have? Can you
-
be a pillar here because there are other people out
-
there that needs to lean on you?
-
Right pillar?
-
Now do you know why the Bible teaches us to
-
rejoice in tribulations? Now do you know the reason? Romans
-
five three five says not only that, but we also
-
glory in tribulation or gloria, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance,
-
and perseverance, character and character. Hope, now, hope that's not
-
disappointed because the love of God has been poured out
-
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given
-
to us, my brethren, counting all joy when you fall
-
into rarest trials, knowing that the testing of your faith
-
produces patients. But let patients have this perfect work that
-
you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Let me
-
tell you some of the testimonies beyond just the hospital
-
bill being paid. Well, I had time to spend with
-
my mom. I had time to and I knew that
-
when she left, she.
-
Was said peace because I follow I God say, and
-
God said, minister.
-
Imagining if I'm like, just you know, he didn't realize anything,
-
and yeah, I don't get involved. You know, no, God
-
said something obeyed right. The other thing that I did, so,
-
although there was it was it actually not or yourself?
-
Oh my goodness, what time I think close to fourteen
-
hour wait in the emergency for them to admet my mom.
-
It's just me and her, right, fourteen hour? Do you
-
know I did during that time? And this is a
-
tip I got from Elena. Right, That's why I had
-
the relationship. Were important, this have a ship, he said.
-
One of the things that he regretted was not videoing
-
his mom his mom passed. He told me that I said, okay,
-
I'll do it. So at the hospital of it, I
-
asked her to record everything for all the message or
-
all the family members, just in case, and after she
-
passed on, I send it to everybody, even me myself,
-
I have one. There are a lot of things that
-
happen in this time of tribulation for my life that
-
I can really see that God helped me overcome. But
-
I had to trust in him. I had to rely
-
on him. I to say, Lord, you have overcome the world.
-
So I have overcome. And I said, I'm still here.
-
I'm still here.
-
I was broken.
-
I overcome. What is it in your life that you
-
think you need to overcome? Oh, James want to say,
-
is my brethren coming all joy? When you fall into
-
various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patients,
-
but that patients have His perfect work, that you may
-
be perfect and complete, lacking nothing, you want to lect
-
nothing in this place.
-
Allow yourselves to go through the fire.
-
Now, I think we've come to a generation and a
-
time where people celebrate self care, self des and self dead. Friends,
-
I want to encourage you. God wants us to grow
-
in our faith. God wants us to grow stronger. So yes,
-
half times come. But I remember reading this somewhere. Half
-
times don't last, but tough people do. Do we have
-
tough people in this place? Do you have people that
-
want to be pillars in this place. Yes, yes, fine, fine,
-
got problems. Let's you know, be comforted and move you know,
-
move on, don't stay move on, just keep walking. No,
-
I think that's a there's a verse in the Bible
-
in Isaiah that says, oh, man, what's the verse again?
-
The one about you know.
-
Uh, God will will cause you to rise upright, resting
-
a lot, resting a lot, And God, the Lord caused
-
you to rise up sol like ingles right.
-
And then if you can't, then you say something like
-
if you can fly, you run. If you can run,
-
you walk. If you can't walk, you crawl. Why crawl?
-
You are still moving forward? Friends? We got to still
-
move forward? Right.
-
It was a crazy one, man, but I still had
-
to go forward. I had no other option. Yes, still said, yes,
-
still going through things, but still move forward.
-
Don't get stuck, don't get stuck, don't say you cannot,
-
can just do it. God would be with you.
-
I don't know how many of you here need to
-
hear this, but you can overcome. Yes, the price, yes,
-
the prince impossible, the price crazy. I told you, I've
-
never explained something where I literally proceed that flow and
-
for one hour, say God, have mercy. I don't want
-
to pray it. E on the virtue of giving up
-
radio now seriously, like whatever, I still hold on. Lord,
-
this come true. Lord, this come true, and He came true.
-
That's pretty.
