You're listening to a message to go from ex church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
So my question for all of us here is that
-
in Malaysia, in West Malaysia, in particularly in Cheras, are
-
we all ready for him? So you're gonna look at
-
Matthew twenty five. Was one to was thirteen, Okay, I'm
-
gonna read it. You can read it together with me.
-
Right, So he says yeah.
-
In Matthew twenty five, it's a parable of ten bridesmaids
-
Verse one. Then the kingdom of heaven will be like
-
ten bridesmaids who took their lambs and went to meet
-
the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, five of them
-
were wise. The five were foolish did not take enough
-
olive oil for their lambs, but the other five were
-
wise enough to take a long extra oil. When the
-
bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.
-
At midnight, they were roused by the shout, look, the
-
bride groom is coming, come out and meet him. All
-
the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lambs. Then the
-
five foolish one asked the others please give us some
-
of your oil because our lambs are going out. But
-
the others replied, we don't have enough for all of us.
-
Go to a shop and buy some for yourself. But
-
while they were going to buy oil, the bridegroom came.
-
Then those who were ready went in with him to
-
the marriage feast, and the door was locked. Later, when
-
the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside calling Lord.
-
Lord opened the door for us.
-
But he called back, believe me, I don't know you,
-
so you too must keep watch, for you do not
-
know the day or hour of my return.
-
Amen.
-
So this is a parable that Jesus was telling them,
-
telling everyone of these disciples when he's explaining how would
-
it look like when he returns again? What would the
-
return of Jesus look like? That was what he was
-
trying to see at that time. So this is why
-
he's saying this wedding situation, and we're wondering, why is
-
this wedding story looks a bit interesting because it's a
-
very Jewish cultural thing. Again, Jewish culture, right, weddings are
-
very different. So they have they have three parts in
-
their wedding, you know. So number one of the first
-
part is that the engagement, I know, all of us here,
-
but getting in on all of us here, I mean,
-
maybe also get engaged, and then we wait for the
-
you know, our wedding ceremony to take place. You know,
-
so they also say they get engaged, and then they
-
have the wedding ceremony. But after the wedding ceremony, there's
-
a very big gap to where the bride goes to
-
live with the bridegroom. There's a gap actually, not like
-
over our culture today where you know, it starts from
-
the wedding onwards first night already, you know, then they
-
are starting to live together ready, But in the Jewish culture,
-
it's not like that. The wedding ceremony happens first. And
-
what the bright groom will do is that he will
-
go back to his father's house and he will build
-
a separate room.
-
For him and his wife.
-
So they will take time because you know, for a
-
million nowadays, we don't do that loud.
-
You go and look for another place to stay. But
-
they will do it back.
-
Then where they will build a separate room for him
-
and his wife will be building that room. So until
-
they finished building this room, bride the bride doesn't know
-
when it is going to be done and when is
-
he going to come back and pick her up. So
-
the bridegroom will say, you've married me. Please wait, I'll
-
get the job done and come back and pick you up.
-
That's what you'll say, okay. So then he'll be waiting.
-
She will be waiting. So she needs to be waiting
-
with a bridesmiths and they'll be waiting for the return
-
of the bridegroom. It won't take very long, and not
-
like two years, ten years something like that, maybe months,
-
you know, or weeks or something like that. So so
-
she'll be waiting for the bridegroom to return. So the bridegroom,
-
once he has finished building the house, the room in
-
his father's house, he will now then bring an entire.
-
Parade, you know.
-
They will create trumpets and stuff that they'll be fit
-
like coming as an entire parade to come and pick
-
up the bride.
-
You know.
-
So that's why it says that the groom will return.
-
And usually they will return at midnight. I don't know why.
-
I never look so deep into it, but they will.
-
Look they will come and return picking up the bride
-
in midnight. So there will be a shout of a know,
-
there'll be a shout the bridegroom is year and then
-
there will be trumpets blasting, you know, and stuff like
-
that to alert the bridal party. So all the brides
-
maid and the bride are ready and they will go
-
out out.
-
They will go out.
-
Is that they will be to be waiting, to be
-
ready with lamps and oil. So they will be waiting
-
with a lamp because it's midnight, and with oil. So
-
they then will follow the groom to the with the
-
groom to the groom's home and then there will be
-
a seven day wedding feast. Imagine seven days of fist
-
today this day, even doing one day of feast is
-
so tiring already, and this is seven days of wedding feast.
-
You know that they will be preparing and they will
-
be planning. So this is the.
-
Jewish culture that the bride doesn't know when the groom
-
will come, so she must be ready with lamps and
-
oil all the time. So that is why Jesus uses
-
this story because he knows that he is the groom.
-
He is the groom, and the church is the bride,
-
and it must He's saying that the church has to
-
be ready more like believers, we are the bride have
-
to be ready. But in this story, there were two
-
groups of people. There were the five wise virgins, five
-
wise virgins who brought extra oil, and there were five
-
foolish virgins who did not bring extra oil. If you
-
ever used the oil lamp, anyone, yeah, I have used
-
an oil lamp. Okay, only my one brother, Yeah, I
-
used an oil lamp. We have not right, I'm sure
-
tyra have not seen oil lamb Oh hey you seen it? Okay, okay,
-
So you know an oil lamp where the you light
-
up and the wick they call it the w and
-
you will see the oil burning out, the oil burw
-
it out. So the most wisest thing for us to do,
-
if you want to keep the oil the lamp burning,
-
is to bring extra oil with you. You carry a
-
can of extra oil so that you can keep adding
-
on oil so that the lamp, the fire in the
-
lamp will be keep on burning. But there was this
-
five not so very smart people who did not bring
-
the extra oil. Maybe they felt like so heavy to
-
bring a can of oil. Maybe, or maybe they thought
-
that it's okay Jesus, I mean sorry, the bride, the
-
groom will written anytime soon, So why the hastle bringing
-
extra oil? Or maybe they thought that it's fine, I
-
can just borrow some oil from some people. I mean,
-
the other five got extra oil. We just borrow some
-
from them. So they took it for granted and they
-
did not bring. So what Jesus is trying to say,
-
all these ten virgins actually represents professing believers like us,
-
and especially those who are serving, those who are faithful,
-
those who are committed. Because we are carrying a lamp.
-
We're carrying the lamp, you know, and we're keeping our
-
fire burning. We're supposed to keep our fire burning. And
-
these virgins were awaiting and we imagine whether we are
-
waiting for the arrival of Jesus, but we don't know
-
when is he coming, and they did not know when
-
is it coming.
-
So what happened?
-
They got tired waiting, and you can see they were
-
tired because they were waitings so long and it was
-
already midnight. Then only the bridegroom came and they were
-
so tired, and only five after they were tired, and
-
then they were looking the five realized that they had
-
no oil on the other five realized that they fire
-
keep burning, and you read this story, the group only
-
allows five wise virgins to enter the wedding. Why why
-
could only the five enter and the other five couldn't enter?
-
Why anyone want to try answering? Why? No clue anyone?
-
Because they were it's already late, so they were prepared.
-
Anyone else want to try? Why you think only five
-
could enter? The five?
-
Wis the doors were already closed?
-
Yeah? But why the doors were closed to the.
-
They are prepared?
-
Okay, so everybody says they were prepared, you know, and
-
also they were too late already the five foolish ones
-
or maybeas it because they are the five the only
-
why so they could enter? Then the five out of
-
five because they were foolish? They No, no, it's not because
-
of that. Yes, they were not prepared, but what is
-
the reason why they were not prepared is because they
-
add no oil. The only reason they couldn't keep the
-
fire burning is because they had no oil, and they
-
had no oil to keep the fire burning. And because
-
they had no oil, and because they couldn't keep the
-
fire burning, that's why they couldn't enter inside.
-
Why oil?
-
Because the Bible frequently refers to it as the Holy Spirit,
-
the oil equivalents to the Holy Spirit. That is what
-
Jesus was saying, that that they had no oil, meaning
-
that they had no Holy Spirit. Oh, they ran out
-
of the spirit. They dried out ready no more the
-
fire foolish version. They may be had for a while,
-
but they ran out of it, or they forgot about it.
-
They did not put extra oil into it. They could
-
not put extra attention to it, you know, so they
-
did not have it. So most of the times us
-
as believer, we also slumber without realizing that we are
-
no longer in communion with the Holy Spirit, that we also.
-
Are running dry.
-
And most of the time as believers, we don't realize
-
that we are actually running dry. Just like the five
-
foolish virgins who had oil and they thought like, oh,
-
it's all right, I can just keep it burning. We
-
also sometimes say that it's okay as a believer, I
-
can just keep it burning burning on my own, until
-
we never realize that actually we ran dry, or sometimes
-
we don't realize that we procrastinate, just like them. They
-
were like, Ah, it's okay, I think we can just
-
borrow it from someone. I think we can just you know,
-
get it later I can go to the shop and
-
get it later, you know, And we procrastinate from not
-
allowing ourselves to experience the Holy Spirit.
-
We say that, oh, it's okay.
-
Maybe not today, maybe next week, maybe next month, maybe
-
when after I already have a good career, or maybe
-
after I've retired, then.
-
I will serve the lot.
-
Maybe when I have everything I need, then I will
-
give my life to the Holy Spirit and live according
-
to the challenge that the Holy Spirit puts.
-
Sometimes we're not already.
-
We're doing it everything that we like and we want
-
to and we say that it's okay not to be
-
ready yet. Sometimes we don't realize that we have a
-
lamp but no.
-
Oil in it.
-
Meaning you're serving, you're doing everything, You're fulfilling all the
-
obligations that you need to do in serving in church.
-
You know, you read your Bible, you come to Sunday,
-
but no oil inside. It's carrying an empty lamp, not
-
realizing that the fire is just going to burn out soon.
-
Maybe there's no fire at all. And another thing, what
-
the foolish versions do? They go to those with oil
-
and the ass give us some of your oil, Give
-
us some of your oil, and the wise one says
-
that we don't have enough for all of us. Go
-
get yourself your own oil, because let me tell you,
-
there's no second nd oil. There's no second d anointing
-
of the Holy Spirit. A lot of us are relying
-
on a second nd oil. You're relying on my oil.
-
You're relying on probably past the glorious oil, as she teaches,
-
as she preaches, as she ministers, where we are not
-
having our own oil. We are not asking the Lord
-
to anoint us. You're not asking the lot to fill
-
us with this holy spirit. We are not seeking Holy
-
Spirit on our own. But we are relying on second
-
nd oil. You're so used to relying towards the pulpit
-
and do not rely to the Lord directly and seek
-
the lot directly, seek the power the Holy Spirit directly.
-
There's no second nd oil.
-
So are we borrowing someone's the anointing of someone else,
-
because in the last days you will not have that
-
opportunity to borrow someone's oil, or let me just last minute.
-
It cannot be like, oh it's okay, let me just
-
take for my brother. My brother is a little bit
-
more oil. Oh but Lord, my husband is a believer.
-
I can can I just stag along? No, But Lord,
-
my wife, she goes to church every week, she serves.
-
Can I just tag along?
-
No, there's an individual oil, there's an individual individual anointing.
-
But the Lord has placed over every single person, and
-
it is upon you and you alone to.
-
Seek for it. Because you can read Enjoe to was
-
Cha two twenty eight, twenty nine.
-
And it shall come to pass afterwards that I'll pour
-
out my flesh and my spirit on all flesh. Your
-
sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your ol men shall
-
dream dreams, and young men shall see vision. And also
-
my men servant, and on my maid servants. I will
-
pour out my spirit in those days. You can read
-
these words, and he says that all flesh, sons, daughters,
-
young men, all men, the men's servant, maid servant. The
-
Holy Spirit is for all. So the annoying thing that
-
comes from the Holy Spirit is for all of us.
-
And there's nothing that could stop us from receiving the
-
annoying thing and the power of the Holy Spirit unless
-
we have not repented, unless we have not given our
-
lives to Jesus. You know the last words of the
-
Bright Room. If you read it it says that believe me,
-
I don't know you.
-
I do not know you.
-
That was the last words of the bridegroom. The bridegroom
-
did not say you didn't work hard enough. The bridegroom
-
did not say you didn't serve hard enough. The bridegroom
-
say you didn't give enough. The bridegroom didn't say you
-
didn't I don't know almost say a lot of things
-
about me enough. You didn't say that, this, enough, that enough.
-
It just says I don't know you. So the entry,
-
the ticket to enter inside his fees is whether you
-
know whether you have the Holy Spirit inside of you
-
or not, Because how does he identify you? How does
-
he identify the five virgins can enter and the other
-
five can enter?
-
Is because they had oil.
-
And their lamp was burning, and that was the only
-
criteria for them to enter inside.
-
There was not no other thing.
-
There was no effort needed, there was no work needed,
-
there was no serving needed, there was not enough giving needed.
-
But it is the Holy Spirit.
-
So what allows us to be there with the Lord,
-
what allows us to be there in the Kingdom of
-
the Lord, is that whether we have the spirit inside
-
of us or not. Romans aid was nine saisties. But
-
you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit.
-
If indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now,
-
if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he
-
is not his. So that was the criteria, whether you
-
have the Spirit of Christ in you or not in you.
-
If you have it, then you are His. And if
-
you do not have it, then you're not his. So
-
the oil, that is what the oil refers to. Whether
-
you have oil, you are his, don't have oil.
-
Not.
-
But most of the time what happens is that we serve.
-
We we we come to church. We do many things
-
without the oil without thinking that that we we think
-
that we can just get in or go through without
-
having the oil, without having the Holy Spirit. We can
-
just do our own thing to get there. You can
-
have outward commitment but lack inward devotion. You can be
-
all committed outside, you can be every Sunday, but yet
-
you have not fully encountered the Holy Spirit. But yet
-
fully you have not given your life for Jesus and
-
live your life for him.
-
You can come for services, but have no surrender. Every service.
-
You're there, but you have not fully surrendered yourself to
-
the Holy Spirit. You're not living alive that is surrendered
-
to Jesus. You're still in control. You still want to
-
be in control. You still want to do it your
-
own way. You still want to do it your own,
-
your own things. You still want to go like, I
-
don't know, some Ca pop band. You know you're still
-
are big fans of that. But and you can give
-
everything you want for that, But you've not chosen to
-
surrender your life to Jesus because it's just an outward thing.
-
Outward I don't know presentation, you know. That's why Matthew
-
fifteen verse eight says, yeah, he's not there but in
-
the slight. But I'm just saying it out. Matthew fifteen
-
eight says, Yeah, these people honor me with their lips,
-
but their hearts are far from me. Their worship is fast,
-
for they teach man made ideas as commands from God. Yeah,
-
you can honor, you can sing and all, but but
-
if your heart is not there, if you're not fully surrendered,
-
then you're just obligations. You can sing about Him but
-
not seek him. You can come to church and Sunday
-
you can sing every worship song that is out there.
-
I'll make room I'll make. But the question is are
-
you really making room? Are you really seeking him on
-
a daily basis or is it just reserved for Sunday
-
six days a week. I'm a different person, but on
-
Sunday I'm another person. I see, I'm only singing so
-
you can sing, but not seeking.
-
So what we gotta do now?
-
We have to come to a place to decide whether
-
you need and you want a good time or a
-
god time. I tell you, in this world today everybody
-
is after good times. Everybody likes and loves to enjoy.
-
Are you having a good time? Yes, I am having
-
a good time. You know.
-
Sometimes you won't come into a worship service expecting that
-
we will have a good time, and if we don't
-
like it, if we don't like it, we'll be like, oh,
-
it was not really a good time here.
-
Let me go to another place.
-
Let me go to another church that probably has a
-
little bit more good times.
-
You know. And we are.
-
Always after good time. We want everything to be good
-
and nice and fun and fancy and great, but we
-
never really want a god time. The question is whither
-
are we encountering the Lord every Sunday when we come
-
in are we experiencing God on another level. Are we
-
truly humbly coming to a place to seek Him on
-
another level? Or are we just after nice good songs,
-
nice good experience, a nice good expression at the back there?
-
Oh? Are we after God?
-
I just need you in a place of desperation for
-
the Lord. If we have to decide, we are the
-
ones that can desire what we want in this situation.
-
If you're after good time, we don't be able to
-
have a time where you really encounter God. Sometimes we
-
want good times from five or every day in our lives.
-
Every decision that we make towards our lives is so
-
that we can have a good time, a good season,
-
a good life. But not not all good it's from
-
the Lord. We have to come to an agreement to
-
believe and accept that not all good time is from
-
the Lord. You know, we can have a good life
-
but yet no evidence of God in it. But we
-
can have a godly life, life that is full we experience,
-
experience and encounter with the lot.
-
But a life that is not so good in the
-
world's eyes. You know.
-
It's like those who get persecuted for their faith. And
-
there are many in those different countries When they decide
-
to follow Jesus, it's isolation from their community. Family, community
-
rejects them, kicks them out of the house. Sometimes they
-
are tortured, they are sent to brainwashing camps, you know,
-
and they get beaten, bruised up. That's not a good
-
life at all, nothing good about that. But every day
-
they say, I have Jesus with me. I can see Jesus.
-
Every time I get beaten. There's the Man looking at me,
-
and I'm happy.
-
I am so.
-
Happy and privileged that the Lord has chosen me to
-
be tortured for his names. These are words of those
-
who are being persecuted, not one hundred years ago, right
-
now in this current generation, that they are not having
-
a good time.
-
Well, they are having God time. They are having God
-
every day.
-
I'm not saying that we all need to be tortured
-
and persecuted. I'm not saying that. But what I'm trying
-
to say is that we have to come to a
-
place to know whether do we just want to go
-
after good times in our life or do we want
-
to have to go after God in our lives. Because
-
you know, there's a church there's such same as this
-
in Revelation it's the church in Laodicia. You know, Revelations Tree,
-
verse seventeen says that because you say I am rich,
-
I've become wealthy, and I have need of nothing, but
-
you do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor,
-
blind and naked. So this is a church in Loudca.
-
Right was planted by one of the disciples of Paul.
-
Was doing so well. They were really doing so well.
-
This is a church that you know, if you read
-
the relations Tree, that Jesus will say that I will
-
you're not call, neither your call, neither you're hot. I'm
-
gonna you look warm, and I'm gonna spit you out
-
of my mouth. They were doing so well as a church,
-
they were growing, but later on they were fixed with
-
something else. Ready because everyone in the church economically in Loudica,
-
everyone was doing very well at that time.
-
Already they were earning well. They were very comfortable.
-
So they said they come to a place to say
-
that I have everything and I have no need of
-
I have need of nothing, I don't need anything else.
-
They became comfortable and they were seeking other things. They
-
were thinking, how can I make things more pleasurable, more
-
fun and more good? But Jesus reminds this church that
-
you do not know, that you are actually wretched and miserable,
-
poor and naked and blind, that you do not know
-
you're going to this direction.
-
So we have to be.
-
Clear, because what can happen is that there's three things
-
that without the Spirit, you will go after just praise,
-
position and possession. And if you don't have the Holy
-
Spirit in you, if you are not under the Holy Spirit,
-
you're not living in community with the Holy Spirit, you'll
-
go after praise. You want people to praise you, well done, Truman,
-
So you could answer, aren't you you know, I'm just joking, Yeah,
-
you know. Or you will say things like that, and
-
you will want people to praise you. You will do
-
things in order people for people to praise you or
-
well done. Wait, you have to go after validation. You
-
after position. You want the highest position in your job,
-
in your in the church, in your marketplace, wherever you are.
-
You will want to be in a high position.
-
And you will say that I need to climb up,
-
and I need to keep climbing, and you'll after possession.
-
You want more and more and more. A little bit
-
is not enough, Maybe it might be, won't be enough.
-
Maybe for two days enough, and tomorrow I want to
-
say vic you know, maybe after that I need a BMW.
-
And it keeps way bigger, and you want more and more.
-
Without the spirit, you will go after this. And this
-
is what the church Lordysia were doing. They were after praise, possession,
-
and position. And that's what Jesus tells them that in
-
Revelation Street twenty before, I stand at the door and knock.
-
If anyone years my woice and opens the door, I
-
will come into him and dine with him, and he
-
with me. You will be in this communion with Jesus,
-
but only when you're able to.
-
Him and allow him.
-
Inside of you. Only then you can do that. So
-
we have to ask ourselves. Is Jesus outside our house knocking?
-
But he couldn't enter inside because there are too many
-
things already filled up in his place. It's a spirit
-
knocking your heart, one thing to enter inside, but there
-
are so many things have already taken his place inside
-
your heart. You got no room for Jesus. You are
-
no room for the Holy Spirit. You can ask yourself
-
because same thing that John fourteen twenty three says, if
-
anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my
-
father will love him. We will come to him and
-
make our home with him. If you love him, if
-
you follow his words, if you love him, he'll make
-
his home within you. Yeah, are we making home? Are
-
making room for for the.
-
Holy Spirit inside?
-
Ezekiel thirty six ver Was twenty six or seven says
-
that I'll give you a new heart and put a
-
new spirit within you. I will take a heart of
-
take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and
-
give you a heart of flesh. I'll put my spirit
-
within you, cause you to walk in my statutes, and
-
you will keep my judgment and do them.
-
You know. Yeah, he says, yeah, that.
-
I will put my spirit within you and cause you
-
to walk in my statutes, and you will keep my
-
judgment and do them. So without the spirit, there's nothing
-
that will cause you to actually walk.
-
In his way. You need the spirit to obey him.
-
Without the spirit, you're just trying to It's all just
-
your effort. You're imitating it. But there's nothing out of
-
really true obedience. And I imagine if you you go
-
to a Dorian shop, okay, in your order, you ask
-
for mosaki. Yeah, and you ask for mosaki and then
-
they bring out outside looks like mousaki, and then you
-
open it and you taste it tastes nowhere like mosanki
-
exactly exactly what is going on. Fruit of the Spirit.
-
It already says it's the fruit of the Spirit. But
-
a lot of times what we do is that we
-
are imitating it. We tell ourselves, we tell the people, oh,
-
you have to be patient, kind gentle, self control, you
-
have to all have all that, But you're trying to
-
do it on your own, and you're imitating your own
-
way of how it looks like instead of it being from.
-
The fruit of the Spirit.
-
Is the fruit of Truman, The food of Trident is
-
the fruit of child. It's the fruit of It is
-
our fruit. We are imitating our own way of kindness
-
and gentleness, instead of saying it is coming from the
-
Holy Spirit. Really, if it comes from the Holy Spirit,
-
that will be the fruit. Then you will walk in
-
his judgment, then you will obey. So question today I
-
want to ask you that would you let a spirit
-
inside of you today? Would you let a spirit to
-
take over you today? You might be wondering, do I
-
have it already or not? A might with it or not?
-
It's a spirit in you. There's a question you gotta
-
ask yourself. Judges sixteen, verse twenty says, yeah, but he
-
did not know that the Lord had departed from him.
-
You know, this is Samson.
-
Samson at the time was you know, lying in the
-
lap of Delilah, and he was enjoying his life. Delilah
-
cuts his hair, and then and the Philistine army comes
-
to arrest, and then he says that, oh, I'm gonna
-
now just beat them all up and continue walking my
-
way in Then he didn't realize that the Holy Spirit
-
that departed from him long time already. Sometimes we are
-
also laying in the lap of the world. We don't
-
realize that the Holy Spirit long time I've departed from
-
us already, and we're just doing our own thing, thinking
-
assuming that we still have the oil for Samuel sixteen
-
says that when the spirit of the Lord departed from Saul,
-
there was a distressing spirit the trouble in him. Are
-
you distressed all the time? Are you in anxiety all
-
the time? Are you in pressure? Are you in fear
-
confusion all the time? Maybe you do not have the
-
spirit of the Lord is inside of you yet, because
-
where the Spirit of the Lord is.
-
There is freedom where the Spirit of the Lord is.
-
I Will says that the fullness of joy will come
-
upon those who have.
-
The Spirit of the Lord. You can read it in
-
an extra spirit was his flesh.
-
Whether are you're working in flesh or are you working
-
in spirit? The first thing is when the spirit is
-
inside of you, you'll be bold because the spirit of
-
the Lord is not the spirit of timidity.
-
Peter, before you had the Holy Spirit in.
-
Him, Jesus was going to be tortured and crucified. You
-
rejected jesus treat time. But after being filled by the
-
Holy Spirit, he was able to stand before three thousand
-
people and preach before three thousand people x four thirty
-
one disciples peak the word with boldness. After being filled,
-
they were bold to share the Gospel anywhere they go.
-
Most of us say that, oh, I'm not yet ready.
-
I'm afraid to share the Gospel to my friends or
-
to my family because the boldness from the spirit is
-
not there, if not the Holy Spirit.
-
Next one his repentance was his ritual. Jo All Too says, yeah,
-
you know, return to me with all.
-
Your heart, rend your hearts and not your garments because
-
in the Jewish context. Back then, when people wanted to
-
show that they are repenting, what they will do is
-
they will tear their clothes and show that Lord, look
-
at me. I'm repenting right now to you. I'm humbling
-
myself to you. They'll tear your clothes. They'll, you know,
-
and say so. The Lord reminds them, ruin your heart.
-
Tear your heart and not your garments. I don't want
-
your garments. I don't need your clothes. I need your heart.
-
So return to me with all your heart. Repentance is
-
a place where you come. Repentance is the meaning of
-
you turn yourself completely. It's not just about repenting from
-
a particular sin. Most of it's mistaken it all the time,
-
but it's about changing our old life. It is I
-
maybe even you are living a good life, but it
-
is saying that I don't want that life and I
-
want to live fully for Jesus full change, completely change.
-
Nothing to do with the old life. Even it was
-
there were things that you like doing. Now no longer
-
you like doing it. Even if it's like, oh it's
-
not it's not a sin, but still you're changed, fully repentant,
-
and you don't want that life. The other one is
-
obedient versus disobedience again, is it? Kil thirty six says yeah.
-
When I put my spirit within you, I'll cause you
-
to walk in my statutes. He's struggling to obey the Lord,
-
and every time you pray and ask the lod Lord,
-
I don't want to do this anymore. I don't want
-
to commit this sin anymore. I don't want to watch
-
pornography anymore. You know, you pray, I don't want to
-
commit that sin anymore. But yet you keep doing it
-
again and again, you fall back to it again and
-
again you fall into it again. It's because he's trying
-
to obey it with your own strength. You're not fully obedient,
-
not fully surrendered yet to the Holy Spirit.
-
And let the Holy Spirit be the one to do
-
the work in you.
-
And I tell you you will no longer have that
-
desire to do that sin again.
-
Last one is supernatural versus natural two thirty sashes.
-
I will show wonders in the heavens and the earth,
-
and the Holy Spirit is here. You will flow in wisdom.
-
You will flow and knowledge. There will be your faith,
-
You will move by faith. There will be healing happening.
-
Supernatural healing in the year, prophecies and prophecies happening in
-
your life, and tongues also will take place.
-
You know, these are in two hours.
-
The Book of Acts, there was no like, you know,
-
structure or sequences of how the Spirit comes upon you.
-
You know, in.
-
In certain cases they were baptized first and then they
-
received the Holy Spirit. In certain cases they were they
-
received the Holy Spirit first, then only they were baptized.
-
They were. They are different ways because the Spirit.
-
Moves not according to structure, not according to plan, not
-
according to those things. But when there's a constant desire,
-
the only requirement for the Holy Spirit is a constant desire.
-
Every one of them.
-
In the Book of Facts were able to encounter the
-
Holy Spirit because they were in constant desire to experience
-
the Lord.
-
You want to see.
-
Miracles, supernatural healing, just God doing great wonders of things
-
in your life. It will not be possible if there's
-
no Holy Spirit. You know, really early, if you want
-
to experience a supernatural power, if you have been in
-
some way, you've been stuck in your life for so
-
long in that one particular situation, it could be a sickness,
-
it could be a pain. It could be an unforgiveness,
-
and you want to be delivered from it. Only by
-
the power of the Holy Spirit, you can and you
-
shall be delivered by it.
-
So do you want to receive the spirit? Do you
-
have the desire to receive the spirit? How then you receive?
-
Say say in Acts chapter two West thirty eight, repent
-
and let every one of you be baptized the name
-
of Jesus Christ for the remissions of sins.
-
You shall receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit. When
-
you repent.
-
Turn away from your own life and say that Lord,
-
I just want to live my life for you, after you,
-
after your ways, after your will, you.
-
Will receive it. And another thing.
-
Is the leaders laid the apostles at the time, laid
-
their hands on the people in pray. It over those
-
who are desiring to receive the Holy Spirit, and they
-
received the Holy Spirit. And those who heard the word
-
of the Lord from Peter, the whole spirit fell upon those.
-
Were hearing the wind. They're just many ways.
-
But again I mentioned repentance is key. If you're not
-
repenting from your old way, you will not.
-
Be able to experience the Holy Spirit.
-
If you're not coming to a place that where we
-
want to desire to see God moving your life, you
-
will not be able to experience the Holy Spirit. And
-
I'm saying this out of love. I'm saying this out
-
of the desire to say that every one of us
-
can just really experience God on another level. I mean,
-
we are in the generation where we're not praying enough,
-
we're not seeking the Lord enough. We have all the technology, jeez,
-
and we think that we can figure out which had
-
jipity a lot of things, but yeah, we cannot.
-
We are far away. You know.
-
It says that Matthew fifteen says that their lips honor me,
-
but their.
-
Hearts are far from me.
-
Oh, we don't want to get in that place. We
-
want to be filled with the oil. You know, the
-
foolish versions, right. The mistake they did is that they
-
waited too long. They waited too long, and they missed
-
the opportunity. We don't want to be in that place.
-
You're gonna call the band up in front. I'm done
-
here already, and really we don't want to miss an
-
opportunity just because we think that.
-
Or not yet, not the right time. I still have.
-
A lot of things to figure out, or even you
-
think that I'm not perfect. Yet I want to do
-
everything right first before I give my life to Jesus,
-
and when I fully lived my life for Jesus, committed
-
for the Lord. And yet I'm not telling you to
-
come in. A full time serves a lot of full time. No,
-
I'm not saying that because there was no such things
-
as full time in the Bible in that sense, because
-
even Paul was a tent maker for a very long time,
-
and it was sustaining his ministry even before he went
-
to do it on his own full time. There's no
-
words like that. But it is about your spirit being.
-
It's about your being and where your heart is. Where
-
you have come to a place to say that, Lord,
-
I will follow you.
-
I'll live my life for you. I will. I'll walk
-
in here.
-
You will set the path before me, and I will
-
take only that path. The other part might seem more great, more,
-
see more, fancy, must seem like you have all the
-
goals and the desires that I have. But yet if
-
it's not you, I will not go. And I will
-
follow your way, even if it's the hardest way, even
-
if it's the most challenging way.
-
Because narrow is the path narrow, it's gonna be hard.
-
You can't carry baggages with you entering a narrow path
-
because it's gonna be so tight and narrow the bags
-
that you're carrying with you cannot enter. Do you want
-
to be burning or based snoozing? And you really want
-
to let the Lord come inside? Because Jesus says in
-
the Revelation Street twenty is mentioned already, you know that
-
he is knocking, is knocking. We all eyes stand at
-
the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and
-
opens the door, I will come in to him and
-
dine with him, and he with me. The Lord will
-
set a table before you, even in the presence of
-
your enemies, and you'll be able to be in communion
-
with him.
-
Can we let him come into our lives?
-
Give our lives fully to Jesus, Give our lives to
-
the Holy Spirit, and say, the Holy Spirit come take
-
over the meat today a desire for.
-
You use me. Can we come to that place?
