  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your dea.

  3. All right, come, let's turn with me to look chapter ten,

  4. verse thirty eight to verse forty one. Okay, I'm sure

  5. many of you are very familiar with this passage. Okay

  6. this saw. The title here reads Mary and Martha worship

  7. and sir, how many of you know this passage? Huh,

  8. I'm sure. Uh this is some of you will say, artists,

  9. I quote the scripture so that I don't need to serf. Okay, No,

  10. that's why I don't surf in church. Oh, okay, verse

  11. thirty eight. Let's read. Now, it happened as they went

  12. that he, meaning Jesus, entered a certain village, and a

  13. certain woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. So nice,

  14. and don't get to invite Jesus, you know, to your house.

  15. And she had a sister, and her name was called Mary. Okay,

  16. So there's Martha and there's Mary, who also sat at

  17. Jesus' feet. Okay, So Mary chose to sit at Jesus

  18. feet and heard his word. Now, when you sit at

  19. people's feet, what does it mean? Nowadays? We don't do that, right?

  20. Do you do you do that? Do you see people's

  21. feet last time? They don't have school one and no

  22. they don't have skula mananga chongmingla, you know or like

  23. international school. You know? You know, how is the school

  24. like the school is that there's teachers sit there and

  25. you sit at the feet. That's a school. It was

  26. like that, you know. So you go to a you

  27. go to a tree. The teacher taught you sit at

  28. the foot there at the foot of the tree, and

  29. you listen. That was all the school, No ipair, no

  30. black ball, nothing, that was the school. Ready. So she

  31. is sitting in a posture of her of what student

  32. she is being a student and a disciple? Okay, so

  33. and she said that that's why she said. She said

  34. at Jesus' feet and heard his word. But Martha was

  35. distracted with much serving, and she approached him and said, Lord,

  36. do you not care that my sister has left me

  37. to serve alone? Very very important? Okay, therefore tell her

  38. to help me. And Jesus answered and said to her, Martha, Martha,

  39. you are worried and troubled about many things, but one

  40. thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part

  41. which will not be taken away from her. Okay, many

  42. of you are familiar with this story. Okay, so if

  43. you're so familiar, and then I can ask you questions, right, Okay?

  44. Those who say yes, I'm gonna ask your question, so

  45. I'm gonna have the slight right, Okay, fantastic. Okay, let's

  46. go to the next question. So the question is who

  47. was Martha really upset with? Who was Matha really upset with?

  48. Can you just bump my my mind just a bit,

  49. hollers so that I can hear myself a bit better?

  50. Thank Yeah? Sorry? Who says Mary? Hands up? Yeah? Any

  51. any other suggestions? Those who didn't answer, who didn't raise

  52. your hand? Who? Who do you suspect? Don't say me? Okay,

  53. she's not upset with me? Okay? Who is? She? Upset

  54. with the chores? Not, not, not a person, and not

  55. the job itself? Right? Well, I like that. You know.

  56. It means that the next time your parents score you

  57. or you know, I'm not upset with you, I'm upset

  58. with the job. You said you think Jesus. How many

  59. people say Jesus? Or not scared? Not scared to be

  60. upset with Jesus? You know, no, someone you know. I

  61. asked this question, I want the service, and someone blew

  62. my mind. He said, she's upset with herself? Or I

  63. was like oh. I was like, oh, this is like

  64. inception and in a mystery behind the mystery on my mouth.

  65. I never thought that she upset with herself? Or okay,

  66. who who? What do you think is the answer? Who

  67. is she really upset with? Is there an answer? Can

  68. we really know who she is upset with? The key

  69. is that you must always get the answer from the scripture.

  70. The Bible itself reveals the answer. Okay, let's see if

  71. you can find the answer. But verse let us check

  72. verse forty. Okay, look at the scripture again, he says

  73. he in verse forty. But Martha was distracted with much serving,

  74. and she approached him and said, Lord, do you not

  75. care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Now,

  76. if she is upset with Mary, why didn't she go

  77. to Mary? True? Or not? If you're upset with your brother, okay,

  78. then why do you go to your father? Why do

  79. you go to your mother? And not only then? What

  80. did she say? Exactly? Come out? She said, Lord, do

  81. you not care? She didn't say Mary is not helping me.

  82. The first thing she said was what was talking about

  83. Jesus's character? Lord, you do not care? But she puts

  84. it in a question, do you not care? But it's

  85. putting the responsibility on you it Lord? Do you not care?

  86. Why she's saying that? She is saying that. Lord, you

  87. clearly can see everything, isn't it. You know why it's happening,

  88. isn't it? You know she is not helping me. You

  89. know I'm suffering, and yet you let it happen. So

  90. I'm upset with my sister and you clearly can see it.

  91. But now I'm talking to you because I have a

  92. problem with you right now because not only she's not

  93. helping me, I don't feel like you care. You care

  94. about me? You know? Oh? Now this story is changing

  95. a bit more interesting, isn't it? But that's why she says,

  96. isn't it? Lord? Do you not care that my sister?

  97. Let me remind you of the detail my sister left me.

  98. By the way, I was the one who invited you.

  99. You know, she invited Jesus into her house. The sister

  100. didn't help, and of course the person these guests, her

  101. guests didn't bother as well. Okay, then and what did

  102. she say? And then what did she say? Serve me alone?

  103. Therefore tell her to help me. After that she reached

  104. her conclusion. Now her conclusion is what tell Jesus what

  105. to do? Therefore, tell her to help me. So who

  106. is she really upset with? The person she approached, the

  107. person she blame, and the person she is instructing to

  108. do something? Isn't it she said, instead of me telling

  109. Mary to help me, Lord Jesus, I want to tell

  110. you to tell Mary to help me. Does it make sense? So?

  111. Who is she really upset with? Jesus? Isn't it? Now?

  112. What do you learn about this in life? What do

  113. you learn about this? And is this really about serving

  114. or is it really about our interaction? We've got you

  115. see how many of us are are like Matha. Not

  116. not because we are busy. Many of us are like Martha.

  117. Is because we invite Jesus into our life, into our home.

  118. We have a certain expectation. Isn't it that Jesus will

  119. see everything, will know everything? And then there are certain

  120. times and when we are surrounded by a lot of Mary's.

  121. You know, Mary is who supposed to help us. Mary

  122. is supposed to care for us. Mary is supposed to understand,

  123. but Mary is not available. Mary is somewhere else doing

  124. something else. And then when we invite Jesus somehow we

  125. suppose so, you know, hey, Jesus, you are Lord, you

  126. are Savior. But then because of Mary's our relationship with

  127. Jesus changes, you know, to be one to become one

  128. that we are upset with and the one that we

  129. tell Jesus what to do. Does this sound familiar anyone

  130. if you feel like that way? No, I'm not. I'm

  131. the only one. Okay. That made me feel so alone,

  132. you know. So this passage is actually really a lot

  133. about our relationship with God and actually specifically our prayer,

  134. ah prayer. You know, sometimes always say it when I

  135. come prayer, But yeah, a lot of times are our

  136. prayer changes, you know, because our perception, our understanding of

  137. God change. When we encounter a lot of challenges, it

  138. gets us to stink, does God really care? And when

  139. we cannot understand how or why, we start to blame

  140. and we tell God what to do and we start

  141. to pray prayers that God will not answer. You get

  142. me right, We'll go answer MATHA in this case, oh,

  143. you think every prayer God answers are clearly Matha is

  144. telling Jesus what to do and not even praying instructing.

  145. You know, should God answer? Oh? So what are effective prayers?

  146. What are good and effective prayers and request in your life?

  147. So you have we have to really this is a

  148. very powerful passage that we really have to understand so

  149. that we don't get into that position. Okay, so today

  150. I'm gonna speak a bit about our prayer. Let's go

  151. to the next line. Let's go to the third slide.

  152. What are some of the things that we commonly say

  153. about prayer? Okay, this one, let's move on there. What

  154. do we say? What we say prayer is a luxury luxury? Okay,

  155. don't have time and energy to pray. I'm working, hustling,

  156. you know, not my first job, second job, third job,

  157. fourth job. Some of your hammy, you have two jobs here?

  158. See it's okay, thank you, thank you for honesty. Teacher JA.

  159. How me of you? Hey and my pick I got

  160. four jobs at the same time, you know, and my

  161. picker and my pick I got at least three jobs,

  162. and I got up to four jobs before I told you.

  163. Wonder how I did it right. I was an analyst,

  164. I was a pastor. I was I had a side business,

  165. and I was a parent. I scared then on top

  166. of day, I was in real estate or so you

  167. think you think you think I do do only read

  168. by both every day? Is it? I also worked as

  169. a hustle before, so okay, that's the well during my

  170. pick in my audiit, I'm not I'm not saying to

  171. boast anything now, but I understand that as Malays we hustled. Okay,

  172. I understand that I respect that I was. I actually

  173. grew up in the environment that people tell me to work.

  174. My my wife don't see me much when I was

  175. studying audit. You know some of you, honey, if you

  176. have been audiited, say audit now all you know when

  177. I when I come back, my wife don't see me

  178. when I got actually don't see me because I leave

  179. so early already. Okay, you really you spend all your

  180. life in you in the in the world. Been there,

  181. done that before. You know, after a while, you burn out,

  182. you really really burn out. So people say prayer is

  183. a luxury. People like past the pasta Gloria can I

  184. you know they want pastor she pray them, moll lie know,

  185. make her pray, pray harder. You know, when my family

  186. is sick, we pray man. You know, every time they pray.

  187. Better pray, especially though she at least can forgive her

  188. because she got full time job those pastor employ but

  189. better pray. Those people got luxury to pray. Ah. That's

  190. why luncheon, I can pray, pray, pray harder because I

  191. pay your money, you know, or any thing like that.

  192. You know, people say they want to know. Do you

  193. know that No, people say that we gave money, be

  194. but pray harder. You know, how can I got sick

  195. because you don't pray harder pray? You know, pay to

  196. pray when you know the said pay to pray. Don't

  197. have time. You know, I can't bet. I got kids,

  198. you know, I got children. I'm taking master's degree. Also,

  199. you know, all these things don't have time, and then

  200. you need to pray, but they're not after that when you

  201. do actually have time to pray, when you start to

  202. get sick and you realize that I need to pray

  203. because it's the most important thing. When you start to pray,

  204. you realize that, hey, I don't even know if I prayer,

  205. God is even happy with my prayer. My prayers sound

  206. bit selfisher. All I ever is can you can? You can? You? Can?

  207. You can? You can? You please? God? Can you can?

  208. You can? You? It's like you you even visited, You're

  209. praying for so long, you only say hey, Dad, Hi, Hi, Hi.

  210. By the way, can you I need some money and

  211. can you put down payment for my car? I saw

  212. this house in banks are kind of nice. You know

  213. you feel like traveling or no, I want to go traveling? Yeah,

  214. you can pay for it. You know, this is how

  215. we treat our parents and hope hopefully we are not okay,

  216. So no, you don't tell me if you know what

  217. I'm talking about. You prayer, it's like, oh, I need

  218. to prayer. But when I pray, I feel very selfish

  219. because you've been far away from God and you become

  220. when you actually pray, you feel like, actually, I'm ashamed

  221. of myself or so because my prayers are so selfish

  222. and so you know, fleshly as well. Then you ask

  223. the question, hey, I'm sure, oh God hears, but if

  224. he play please with my prayer? Third day? Hey, what

  225. if God doesn't respond to me? Can I deal? With

  226. the disappointment. Can I deal with the you know, with

  227. this waiting for so long? You know I pray not

  228. for years and years and years. Can I deal with

  229. not getting a response? You know? Then the next one

  230. is like, oh, not knowing what to expect during prayer? Okay,

  231. when I pray, ready, I put my hands together and

  232. stop praying. I don't know what to prayer. I don't

  233. know what to expect. I just say the words on

  234. lima is like typing your dignity send on nima? What else?

  235. I cannot imagine how people can pray for fifteen minutes,

  236. half an hour, one hour? How they do it one?

  237. You know, I'm sure they are not that. They must

  238. be day dreaming one and all. They must be day

  239. dreaming one, I tell you. And then not knowing what

  240. to expect after prayer, after I pray reading, okay, I

  241. walk out, So what to expect? I work out things

  242. haven't changed? Or so the sky is still blue? You know,

  243. my bed is still there? You know, what, what do

  244. you expect? How many of you know what I'm talking about?

  245. That is whire because so many answers are you approach

  246. prayer a completely dry one another completely faithless one, you know,

  247. completely like a burden. You know, it's like, oh, pray,

  248. you know, it's like tying your neck to a rock.

  249. And ah, how many if you're no one talking about no,

  250. you know, I'm trying to be very honest with you,

  251. guys are huh. It's it's exactly the place where the

  252. enemy wants to take us to it. And the thing

  253. is most of us go through it. Actually all of

  254. us go through it. It's a challenge to pray. But

  255. why is it so challenging to pray? Why is there

  256. so many questions that challenges us to pray? All these things? Okay,

  257. let me tell you a story here. How many of

  258. you have read this book called The Screw Tap Letters

  259. by C. S. Lewis? Yeah, yeah, okay, great. The Screw

  260. Tap Letter is written by this guy called C. S. Lewis.

  261. He's English, a big oh okay, a bit old school.

  262. I read. Also, I'm like, whoa some of these words

  263. I didn't not even existed, you know, and on and

  264. you on the way. The structure a bit like Yoda already,

  265. you know, when I was like, is good? It's good writing.

  266. So basically the Screwtap Letters it's a sort of like

  267. a commentary or writing between a junior devil and a

  268. senior devil. Devil, junior devil and a senior devil. Okay,

  269. there is a junior devil. His name is worm Wood.

  270. Worm Wood, okay, junior devil, you know, the new junior devil,

  271. and their job is to distract, to deceive you know humans,

  272. you know, so that they will never approach God and

  273. they always remain on the side of the enemy in

  274. the world. And then the junior devil has an uncle,

  275. uncle devil, and the uncle's name is called Screwtape. Okay.

  276. So this juda devil has been a sign an old

  277. man even as an omen as all. Man has never

  278. been the church, never wanted everything. He just lived like

  279. a normal person. But he's seventy plus year old. And

  280. one day the junior devil, Wormwood has a problem, big problem, okay,

  281. And he started to write to his uncle in panic mode.

  282. He's like, oh, what's the problem. He wrote to his

  283. uncle and said that dear uncle, screwtey, I'm in trouble.

  284. I might get punished by mister Satan himself. Why Because

  285. this old man, at about seventy plus y old, one

  286. day right now. He is at the park sitting on

  287. a bench, and he started to think about life and

  288. not just thinking about life. He started to realize that

  289. he's not growing any younger. He could die. A lot

  290. of half or more than half of his friends already

  291. passed away, and he really doesn't know what to expect.

  292. All that he has built, his family everything. People have

  293. their own lives to move on. You know. He doesn't

  294. care about buying a bigger house, bigger car, or travel

  295. that much anymore. He's thinking more about where am I going?

  296. Where am I going? And then you start to think

  297. like is there more to life than all of this?

  298. If I cause myndes in that past on, where would

  299. I be? Is it just nothingness? Or is there something more?

  300. He start to think, start to wonder you all and

  301. he start to think like maybe there is something more?

  302. But is the universe or is there something greater yet

  303. is trying to speak to me? Maybe should I go

  304. to try church? Maybe I should I go and talk

  305. to a friend or a pastor. So he's thinking about

  306. maybe I should just go and talk to someone. At

  307. that very moment, the junior devil has a big problem

  308. because he realized this old man is starting to step

  309. one closer and closer to the eternal question, you know,

  310. to the eternal question, and possibly to the eternal answer,

  311. you know, stepping closer to the eternal question and to

  312. the eternal answer. And so junior devil is panicking, oh no,

  313. and giving this old man by then he's walking to

  314. the enemy. So he writes to his uncle and the

  315. uncle looks looks at his son. Genior devil is like, what, so,

  316. what are you doing. Then the junior that was, okay,

  317. maybe I will send him arguments about God doesn't exist

  318. and everything. Then when his uncle that he scolded the

  319. junior devil said, why are you so silly? You're such

  320. an amateur. Now an older man is working, and you

  321. want to use arguments, You want to use intellectuals to

  322. convince him. Those are ineffective. The fact that you argue

  323. with him, the more he will think about it, the

  324. more actually, the more likely who he will work. So

  325. he said, you must use understand who they are, what

  326. humans are, okay, and what they are most tempted with,

  327. so that they can come back. So what at this moment,

  328. what do you think is the most powerful weapon to

  329. distract this old man? Anyone suggestion this question. What do

  330. you think is the most effective weapon to distract that

  331. omen from thinking about the eternal question and the eternal answer?

  332. What is huh? Youth? Okay? What else? Any suggestion? Huh doubts? Okay?

  333. How do you distract this old man? Worries? Maybe a

  334. goals come out scared? You know, you know what's the

  335. most effective, too, most effective to at that moment is

  336. lune lune. So you may be wondering, what is pastor

  337. talking about? Can humans be so simplistic? He said, lunch,

  338. You know why not? First of all, you must understand

  339. what humans are. If humans believe there is nothing eternal,

  340. then they are purely flesh and there's only the material.

  341. You You only get what you see, what you feel,

  342. what you touch, what you understand. That's all. You have,

  343. only the material and the tangible. And you must attract them,

  344. not with it intangible. You must attract them and persuade

  345. them with the tangible. What is the most tangible thing

  346. at that moment hunger? Make them and make him think

  347. about that moment instead of going to see the pastor

  348. at the church, think about, Hey, it's eleven thirty already.

  349. If I go there. It be twelve o'clock. Who am

  350. I going to get my lunch? I'm no normally I

  351. eat normally I eat at that time one and all.

  352. Oh but god, this place are God on Google Mac

  353. got this very nice place? You want to eat? Mon? No? No,

  354. oh no, but what if I go there? I cannot

  355. get transport back? Oh but what if I go there?

  356. There's going to be rain. Oh if I go there,

  357. I don't like the pastor and if he talks too much?

  358. Ready you know, Oh, by the way, if I look

  359. at my Netflix, a new series come out already. You

  360. see the things that distract you and very rarely that

  361. hit you every day, every moment, even right now where

  362. you are sitting right now, what is hitting your mind

  363. to look at this pastor here, this young looking pastor.

  364. I think I'm looking at looking at her. Whether he's

  365. talking makes sense, whether he's entertaining me. You know, it's

  366. all the tangible things. This guy doesn't even know why

  367. he's talking about, even on my family nor my life.

  368. What right does he have to talk? I read it

  369. right now. Think about my lunch. What I'm gonna do

  370. after two work clock, Whether I want to go for

  371. a pickable, or maybe after that, I want to go

  372. back and watch a bench of my Netflix or play

  373. my mobile games. You go. I mean, right, there's a

  374. thousand and one things in your library that you can

  375. pick right now instead of listening to me. There is

  376. one thing that is guaranteed that everyone is thinking. You're

  377. all smiling, true or not true or not true or

  378. not That is why? What do you think is worship?

  379. You think worship is singing songs and music? You know

  380. what Jesus went through tree temptation, isn't it? You know

  381. what's the second temptation he went through? The devil took

  382. him to a very high place. Is in there? And

  383. what do you do? He showed him the world, the

  384. kingdoms of the world and their glory, isn't it? And

  385. what did the devil ask in return from Jesus that

  386. you will bow down and worship me? But what does

  387. he mean by worship? Jesus? I need you to play

  388. hill songs or bethel. I need you to have a

  389. five piece band, dance, dancing, sing, you know, give money?

  390. You think devil once there no what is worship? Then

  391. even the devil knows why it's worship? You know your heart.

  392. What occupies you your mind, You're thinking constantly more than

  393. anything else, when you're drive in your car, when you sleep,

  394. what you watch on your YouTube, What takes up your

  395. time and your energy, your devotion, your dreams, your hopes,

  396. those things that occupies your mind, what you want the most,

  397. that's your worship. And so when you wake up this morning,

  398. it was a very nice place to sleep. You don't

  399. know who is speaking, You don't know how the worship

  400. will be, you don't know what kind of message I'm

  401. going to deliver. But yet against all odds, you still

  402. choose to come to church. That is worship. You know

  403. I'm saying what I'm saying or not, Because that's the

  404. hardest part. You come saying that's the hardest part. And

  405. there is where people of times people struggle while come

  406. because they don't understand that's worship. That's the hardest part. People.

  407. Then when you come, ready, you already want the battle.

  408. You come saying. That is why we always tell people

  409. come to church not because anything, because despite all things,

  410. you show up because you put you are telling I

  411. am I am not just a human, I'm a spiritual being.

  412. I live for something more than just a tangible, there

  413. is something internal. Even though I cannot feel and understand

  414. or comprehend everything, at one time, I know there is

  415. something more. I'm also not fully but partially invested into

  416. the eternal. So I decide that there is one day

  417. in my week that I must remind myself there is

  418. something greater than me. I'm saying not even I don't

  419. feel like it, even though the feelings everything is overwhelming.

  420. I choose to put my mind on the eternal. How

  421. many will how many of you work out? How many

  422. of your gold and job? How many of you watch

  423. what you eat? Does it effect today? Sometimes? Yes, but

  424. you do so because of the future health that you're

  425. invested in, tumor true and not true on all you

  426. know that in life there is such a sting as

  427. the moment you bought your plane. No, you cannot come

  428. down ready. You know the plane retech off, you know

  429. one and not. So your job is to make sure

  430. that you get prepared as much as possible before you

  431. arrive at the airport. One no, no, before the plane

  432. texts off. You know some of you so scared? Are

  433. you going to fill up your water bottle before you

  434. go onto the plane and say you buy as many

  435. family myth food into your backgeage. You know, so I

  436. don't want to spend a single money on asia expensive food.

  437. You know, Okay, you get ready because you know there

  438. is something more than this permanent, than this whole tangible life.

  439. And so the thing that they will attract, they will defeat.

  440. This old man was not the intangible. There will always

  441. be the tangible. Think about lunch. So your battle, the

  442. enemy's battle with you, is always to put you to

  443. think about now, what you can feel, what you can enjoy,

  444. instead of thinking the long term. Man now, because then

  445. now is the most powerful thing. When you go, people

  446. will ask me, A, I know, I'm I'm going different places.

  447. You don't mind, right? Am I talking making sense here?

  448. When things pop up? I talk one. You know, like

  449. when people ask me, a, what is the difference between

  450. gambling and investing? You know my answer? You know what's

  451. the answer. What's the difference between gambling and investing? People say, RISKA,

  452. I have a better answer. The difference between gambling and

  453. investing is time. Time have you been to a casino

  454. that say that go into this play and we will

  455. give you the result in twenty years. Never have you

  456. go online mobile and you say that, oh, you play it,

  457. download our game and you play, put your money and

  458. you will get your results in twenty years. Never what

  459. do they say, we now get now make this trait.

  460. Now you know why time because time to the person

  461. means reality. Yeah, I mean right, I can be rich

  462. now now is the most powerful thing. Yeah, I mean

  463. because they know we are flesh. The moment they can

  464. show you can earn a bit, they tease you with it.

  465. Now now now why wait, all your dreams everything come true?

  466. Now you I'm saying, because when we are stripped of

  467. eternal and just the temporary, we are animals, people that

  468. can be controlled anywhere once. But we are not. We

  469. are physical and spiritual beings. People. Remind yourself there, turn

  470. your neighbor and say that please, brother, you are brother

  471. and sister you are also spiritual being. Okay, you are

  472. spiritual beings. It's so important enough. And so these old

  473. men unfortunately decided maybe I will come tomorrow when he

  474. says that the devil is one, yeah, I mean right,

  475. because the battle is not for tomorrow, is for now.

  476. You misunderstand it. So a lot of us we lose

  477. the battle today and because of that, we lose the

  478. battle for tomorrow because we keep delaying. And when you delay,

  479. the devil one. So don't delay people, okay, don't delay everybody. Okay,

  480. So you understand why I'm saying or not? So what

  481. is the biggest challenge? To prayer all the tangible things? Now? Now? Now? Now,

  482. I pray tomorrow, tomorrow. When I got energy, la, I

  483. pray tomorrow. And you know when when I'm more freeler,

  484. I serve. When I'm more freeler, I know when I

  485. earn my money. Readylar amla. That's why Jesus said that, Jesus,

  486. there's a parablema. He said, there's a man who keeps

  487. telling in my heart, I will build a barn and

  488. I will store up when I'm when I in the

  489. in the future. And Jesus say, fool is the full

  490. of course you? King James said, tonight your life will

  491. be required of you. You will not know when the

  492. thief will come and steal. Jesus is saying, you know

  493. what you whispered in your heart, in your flesh is

  494. evil because you are not just a physical being. You

  495. are a spiritual being. You are destined for the eternal.

  496. But yet you leave like a slave for the temporal. Okay,

  497. all right, So what are some of the prayer common

  498. common prayer dilemmas you think about it? Inconsistent timing. You

  499. pray whenever you like it, because some timings it doesn't

  500. suit you, true or not? Ah, because a compare now,

  501. because my favorite ne fiction is showing right now. Oh

  502. work venues. You pray when you're lying down on your

  503. very nice orthopedic pillow. Oh so when you're and in

  504. front of you, it's your netflix s you prayer when

  505. you're in the toilet. Ah, Lord help me. I need

  506. strength right now. I haven't put for two days. Ready,

  507. Lord help me. I need you or maybe like you

  508. realize that the toilet paper is gone? Ready? Oh Lord

  509. help me right now? I never use I never use water. One,

  510. you know, I only use paper only. Some people say that,

  511. you know how many use what use paper? Or b

  512. they one just kid? Sorry, I'm trying to I like

  513. to have fine. Some people tell me I only use paper. Yeah,

  514. I tell them. You know, when you after you eat KFC,

  515. do you use paper or do you use the water? Ah?

  516. They don't get it. You don't get it. Oh my goodness,

  517. I thought people would laugh. This is true, isn't it?

  518. It's true? Isn't it? After KFC? Do you only white

  519. paper or do you wash your hands? You wash your hands? Right,

  520. it's true, Right, it's true. It's true. Hey, if I

  521. don't wash my hair, I cannot touch my wife. I okay,

  522. I can't touch my whole hand. Hey, what you are

  523. so greasy? You want? It's the same. It's the same

  524. thing in life. Okay, you play prayer? Weird their news man, Yeah,

  525. pray toilet, lie you know all these weird awkward posture okay,

  526. toilet of course you got awkward posture line. You know,

  527. when I feel like it, you know, when I pray

  528. after I light down, you know, at three o'clock and

  529. when I finally want to sleep ready, I'll pray and

  530. I pray, no thank you for today. I pray it.

  531. You'll watch over me. Then sleep ready then and then

  532. tomorrow you wake up. Did I pray? Well? I think

  533. I pray very long, and but you don't. You pray

  534. two sentence on you. Yeah, it's true, and then you

  535. go to prayers of this and all I want to pray.

  536. Pray for Malaysia, Pray from Lasia. Thank you for Malaysia

  537. or Malaysia got a lot of good food. I'm gonna

  538. eat right now. Oh you're distracted, Okay, distractions you put

  539. your phone in front of you, you know, and then

  540. all the distractions that you know what I'm talking about, Okay,

  541. lack of faith. When you pray, you know it, you pray,

  542. it's like it's like you're doing it mandatorily. You know,

  543. it's like because I have to. You know, you don't

  544. really believe in prayer. You don't even believe the power

  545. of prayer. Not only there, you also have shame because like, hey,

  546. I'm a sinner. It's like it's like a robber going

  547. to the police asking for help. You know. You know

  548. what I'm saying. It's like the police will look at me. Hey,

  549. you just rob a guy, right You want for help

  550. right now? You know what I mean? You feel you feel,

  551. you feel a shame, You feel you feel sinful because

  552. of your own lifestyle and your own lack of your

  553. own weaknesses. And number six, you like a lot of

  554. bibical truth in your own life. Hey, how does God thinker?

  555. How does God wanna? You know? How does prayer supposed

  556. to feel? Like? You know all these things. You understand.

  557. You all get what I'm saying. You want help? Yeah,

  558. you want help or not? You want to help out

  559. my prayer, my today's my money. It's not about going

  560. to all this you know, just are teaching. You know,

  561. I want to go into specific practical helps. Okay, let's

  562. go to the next one. First of all, you must

  563. plan your prayer. Plan your prayer. I know it sounds

  564. very what do they call it anti doto? Okay, it

  565. sounds like a prayer prayer supposed to be. You pray

  566. any time anyway you want. You work when you pray

  567. a Bible course, you're not praise unceasingly, you know, it's like,

  568. but plan your prayer anything in your life, it is

  569. important you plan how many If you plan to get married, Yeah,

  570. if you want to get married, you plan one? Right?

  571. If you want to get married and i'n planned one? Hey,

  572. by work by the way, you see a stranger, Hey,

  573. you want to get married, let's go. You're like, you know,

  574. you plan, and you plan only you plan a long time.

  575. You plan what kind of house you want to get,

  576. what kind of ring you want to get, what kind

  577. of dress you want to get? You plan so much

  578. you can't. Also the invitation, you also plan everything you plan. Also,

  579. it's important to use in it anything important. You plan

  580. your finances, do you plan for it or you don't spend?

  581. And then you know you plan everything you plan or

  582. sort so you got a plan, because if you don't plan,

  583. anything is just gonna happen. Just like that. Even Jesus

  584. himself has a plan one and all that every time

  585. after you see in the inside the inside the ministry,

  586. inside the Bible, every time after he done ministry, he

  587. will always remove himself from the crowd or his disciples

  588. and go and pray on his own in the evening

  589. and in the morning as well. You set a time

  590. to pray because the moment when you set the plan,

  591. when you plan it, you realize that everything else has

  592. no excuse. Yeah me right, all these things I cannot

  593. give you excuse anymore. You plan. It's very very touched

  594. on a lot of us, are we we we we

  595. we we we learn this lesson very late, okay least

  596. for me. Now you realize that the things that it

  597. gives you the most satisfaction as you grow older are

  598. the things you actually plan, not unplanned. One true or

  599. not true or not. You realize when you grow order

  600. in your late twenties, thirties and forties, you realize the

  601. things that give you the most spect certificate are the

  602. things that you plan for because you realize you are

  603. intentionally growing, so you got to plan. It's very very true. One.

  604. That is why I look at the older people are

  605. what's your plan? What your plan? Did? Keep asking you what?

  606. Just go along with you lying but no, we got

  607. this part. We want to be like adventurously. But they

  608. ask for a plan because the things they realize, the

  609. things they are satisfying, they are meaningful. Most of the time,

  610. you have to plan. You have to plan one. Okay,

  611. so plan and in planning means you have to set

  612. a time, set the place or say even duration the duration.

  613. I will come back a bit well and I explain

  614. to you, set a time and the place. Set a

  615. time in the morning, at night, no matter what, you

  616. will go and pray for fifteen minutes when it doesn't matter.

  617. Just go into a into a place you know, not

  618. just playing. You don't don't sit down, don't don't pray

  619. on your on your bed or anything you know which

  620. I say, you know, remove distractions. Okay, find a place,

  621. go to your room, proper room, sit up and I

  622. will say this are put your hands together and pray.

  623. Not because when you put your hair and then you

  624. chump chakra coming out. Okay, yeah, some you know because

  625. I pray like that. You know my focus is there.

  626. You know I can pray. Maybe God get one more

  627. zero to my prayer requests. You know, to my money,

  628. I request for no. No, it doesn't mean that. Okay,

  629. It's very important that you that you that you set

  630. yourself properly, sitting down, pray some of you you would

  631. like it. You would like to even kneel down as well.

  632. I tell my children to pray not lying down. Get on,

  633. get on your knees, or at least sit down. Find

  634. a table that remove everything to that you will realize

  635. a huge difference. You know why because I said, we

  636. are spiritual, but we are physical. Okay, we are spiritual

  637. and physical. Be the reason why you sit yourself and

  638. you put your hands together, and when you worship you

  639. raise your hand is because you are letting the spiritual

  640. lead the physical, because you realize spiritual beings, we are

  641. spiritual people are knows how important the physical affect them,

  642. how powerful the physical affect them. This true one. Although

  643. we are physical and spiritual, spiritual and physical both affect

  644. one another one. The physical affect the spiritual one as well,

  645. you like it or not, that one. And so if

  646. you are to be spiritually minded, okay, if you are

  647. spiritually minded, you have to control the physical. A lot

  648. of people say, no, know, you have to control the physical.

  649. Where you are, how you are, what you feel. You

  650. control so that the physical so that the spiritual can

  651. rise above you and you put you control and put

  652. into submission that which is physical. That's why you fast.

  653. You fast not because you know or you're already spiritual.

  654. You fast because you need to be spiritual. You can't

  655. mean that you're saying no, you're putting it in control,

  656. and you're saying no to the physical. You say this

  657. is more important. I'm putting it on the whole. So

  658. when you are able in your life and when you're

  659. able to control, you're starting to realize, hey, you become

  660. more fit, spiritually aware. You know that when you actually pray,

  661. when you actually fast properly, are you are you? When

  662. you're going to prayer, you realize that, Hey, she said no,

  663. to to food, oh sixteen eighteen hours. Ready. When you

  664. when you start to really put yourself in prayer, you

  665. realize that are the flesh is not as important, said God,

  666. I want to know more of the spiritual. You're saying

  667. what I'm saying. No, it's a very very very important

  668. principle that we often we often neglect as well. Put

  669. your hands together. You know that if you go to

  670. Europe's or to some of these places are a lot

  671. of the monasteries are, and all churches are. You see

  672. the monster They actually had prayer beats. You know what

  673. I'm talking about. And prayer beats it what the prayer

  674. beats for. Some people say to count what God answer

  675. one prayer, second prayer, prayer for prayer is there got power?

  676. One is how many times they says certain words. Most importantly,

  677. the prayer beats are there is so that their whole

  678. entire body is focused on only prayer. So they know

  679. and they understand as they do, that's the only thing

  680. they do. They're not counting anything. The prayer beat is

  681. to put the whole physical way into one single point,

  682. the prayer. That is why it's called the prayer beat.

  683. It's not because it's got some special unique thing. You know,

  684. when you put your hands together physically like just like that,

  685. it helps you. I'm not saying this, it helps you

  686. to focus. It's all about prayer. The physical is not there.

  687. It's a prayer. That's why they do that as well,

  688. because they pray for hours and hours. The prayer bill

  689. was all they had, you know, not because they're counting

  690. or anything, because the prebbe was that focused one thing only,

  691. not my phone, nothing. It's just a prayer, focusing, focusing.

  692. So the monks they know how that is so important

  693. to sharpen the physical, to be spiritual as well into

  694. one single point prayer. That's why they're that. That is

  695. how the praybas actually work. So when you worship as well,

  696. when you go to worship and hold your hand, oh

  697. and you're for your hands. I'm not saying asking you

  698. to be fake. You know, I'm not asking you to

  699. be fake, but I'm asking you to be aware and

  700. lead your physical I'm not asking a lot of times

  701. when you tell people you raise your hands, not because

  702. someone left it right, No, you raise your hand because

  703. you know your body plays a role in humbling yourself

  704. to God. It's true. It's true. You raise your hands

  705. not because you feel like it. You raise your hand

  706. because God is greater, and you humble yourself when you refuse,

  707. and you know that God is great when you refuse.

  708. It's a very dangerous position. You two. So when you

  709. don't feel like worship, you raise your hands, say God,

  710. my feelings are not that important. You, the truth of

  711. you are more important. So I lead myself in worship.

  712. You don't. You're not let in worship by the person.

  713. You know. The person is just singing a song, you know.

  714. But the worship leader is you yourself. You raise your hand,

  715. you become the worship. You lead yourself in praise and worship.

  716. Just why I tell you don't raise your hands but

  717. you don't feel to know? You lead yourself. Nobody's gonna

  718. lead you, not your parents and your mother. You lead

  719. yourself in prayer. What I'm saying so important, so so

  720. so important. You know, okay, everybody, okay, so final, I'm

  721. teaching you all these very practical things. You know, Okay,

  722. you don't feel like it, you raise your hand. That

  723. is actually when you don't feel like it, that's when

  724. you raise your hand. You get me. That's the battle

  725. that you have to win. Okay, verbalize, Oh what do

  726. you mean by verbalized? When you pray? Speak it out.

  727. I know it's hard to speak all your prayer because

  728. you hardly pray. All I'm saying is that try and

  729. speak like half the prayer. You know why you speak,

  730. and you verbalize it because your words have wait, your

  731. words witnesses to yourself. A lot of times are and

  732. this is true now a lot of people are asking

  733. for prayer, come up asking me for prayer, and I say, okay,

  734. it's I've been praying for this, Okay, all right. Then

  735. I would say, okay, you why don't you pray for

  736. yourself first? And I will agree with you. I want

  737. to pray because I don't know who you who you are,

  738. I don't know what you go through. I want to

  739. pray for yourself. I want to see what the spirit

  740. has been leading and I will agree with you. You

  741. know what their struggle. They really struggle, not because of

  742. the problem. I think they struggle because they don't know

  743. what to say. And I say, and you can. There

  744. are a few ways you can look at it. Either

  745. they really don't know what to pray, or actually a

  746. lot of times people don't say it because their mind

  747. is a mess. That's why they don't even prayer. Their

  748. mind is a mess. Your whole life is a mess.

  749. You cannot order. You don't know where to begin, You

  750. don't know why it's right to say your mind is

  751. a mess. And even when you're in prayer, you refuse

  752. to all the things out, to even verbalize it, and

  753. you continue in a mess. And even after prayer for us,

  754. why you continue in a mess? That is why speaking

  755. is very powerful and it will challenge you, it will

  756. work you, it will exercise you. But it's when you

  757. do that things begin to order. You can, I'm saying,

  758. and you realize when you say, you have to say

  759. the most important and meaningful things. When you say, you

  760. realize you actually you are hearing it. And you have

  761. to be comfortable with what you say as well. You

  762. can I'm saying, you hold yourself accountable with what you say. Well, no,

  763. that's why I want you to pray it out. Then

  764. when there is where you will take your prayers more seriously,

  765. I'm saying you, no, you want to up your prayer,

  766. pray it out. You start with like God, thank you,

  767. thank you, and you also will start to witness to

  768. your weight of your words. Am I really thankful? God?

  769. You are in control? God help me. I am nothing,

  770. but you are everything. God. I don't even know how

  771. to sort this out, this problem. I keep blaming the

  772. other person, but is it my fault? And when you

  773. start to verbalize, you keep witnessing witnessing, and you know

  774. what happens. The Holy Spirit comes and see this, en

  775. joins it because you start to confess, and he bears

  776. witness to say what you do, what you're saying? Is

  777. it true or not? You know what the word confess mean?

  778. And confess? What does confess mean? The confess? The word

  779. the Greek word mean to say the same thing, To

  780. confess it not just to say what is that? To

  781. confess means to say the same thing. Okay, if I

  782. confess with you, I'm saying the same thing with who

  783. with you? When we confess, we are saying the same

  784. thing as the Holy Spirit says. You know, I mean right,

  785. because the Holy Spirit has been prompting. But when you

  786. finally say, you are saying the same thing. You are

  787. saying the thing that God wanted you to say all

  788. this world, and he finally got it. Out of you.

  789. That's what confession really means. Ah makes sense or not.

  790. That is why confession is powerful people when you don't

  791. confess it like you know, you keep thinking that, but

  792. you didn't realize that God is actually working you to

  793. get that truth out of you. What you need to

  794. order to say it, but you refuse to say it.

  795. That is why we need confession sense. Okay, so far

  796. we verbalize it. So some practical tips. Set a time,

  797. set the place when you pray, start to speak it

  798. all and you will start to see a difference in

  799. your prayer life. You believe me, you believe in Are

  800. you gonna do it? Nah? Sure? Nah? Better write down?

  801. Okay how much I'm doing? I have left? Okay, five

  802. more minutes again okay. Verbalize consistency over feelings. He Lord

  803. ask pray by feelings. I told you ready. The enemy

  804. of the spiritual is the physical. The enemy will never

  805. distract you, scare YouTube from praying, but suddenly scare you

  806. if a goes ah, don't pray. He will never do that.

  807. The enemy of your prayer is hey, go and watch

  808. the capable demandhantera. You know now you suddenly a wake

  809. up ready? You know? Ah? Then you watch I saw

  810. that pop enough ready you want to drink pop? Ready? La? Oh?

  811. Just that pop thing was like, what that's like? Watch

  812. that now? Not a new movie series? Watch Wedness Day?

  813. Is it? Is it? A lot of people watching are

  814. be careful what you watch people. A lot of these

  815. occult things are gateways, are seriously on a lot of

  816. these things are a lot a lot of interesting messaging. Actually,

  817. I have an opinion about Kep demon Hunter the messaging,

  818. but I want to cover it today. I have an opinion.

  819. I have a very strong opinion about it. You go

  820. and watch what they are trying to say with the

  821. character room. I'm like, actually, watch it. I don't quite agree.

  822. Are you embracing being a demon? Huh? So you see

  823. how there are things are that shame has two purposes.

  824. Has a godly purpose and there's a wordly purpose. God

  825. allows certain shame in your life to turn us into

  826. godly repentance so that we will turn to Him. It's

  827. allowed to turn to us, but there is But the

  828. world would say shame is painful. But the way to

  829. overcome shane is not turning to God. But it's by

  830. embracing it. It is who you are, shine, girl. That's

  831. what they're telling you. That's what they're telling you. It's true,

  832. isn't it. This is who you are girl, Shine, Yes,

  833. go girl, I'm looking at my daughter. Please don't do that, Okay.

  834. The nonsense is that if I come back and I

  835. go some demonic things like I'm a demon Shine Day,

  836. You'll be like, what there? Why are you doing? So

  837. don't do that yourself. You know, whatever that you are believing,

  838. if you apply to me, you will realize how nonsensical

  839. it is. You know what I mean, Like, it's really nonsensical,

  840. you know, but it becomes the messaging is so powerful.

  841. It's because the packaging. You put animations there, you put

  842. nine nine songs right there, and you put it celebration

  843. of power, and you think that people will bite that

  844. In between that it's still crapping. A you can put

  845. flower bake it look like cuts you down like that.

  846. You know it's still crapping all I tell you, it's

  847. the packaging. You gonna mean, right, if I changed the

  848. whole Caper de More Hunter into a horror show, you

  849. would not even be embraceed Man, true or not with

  850. the same messaging applying. No, you wouldn't it's the packaging. People,

  851. you know, don't get full by look at the messaging

  852. and what they are really believing. Okay, it's okay, I

  853. have an opinion about it anyway. You know, you have

  854. to see through all these things, okay, now, consistency over feelings,

  855. and then you have to push through lastly in prayer.

  856. What does it mean by push through in prayer? Now?

  857. I know this is a big controversial, not a controversial controversial.

  858. It sounds a bit funny. When you pray, I want

  859. you to time yourself. You'd be like, why why would

  860. I time myself? You don't have to do it all

  861. the time. Maybe you just do it once a while.

  862. Time myself. So when you pray, ready, this is why

  863. I do. You pray a day a prayer and they say, oh,

  864. I pray for ten minutes. Oh, then you've got time,

  865. isn't it? And I said, okay, what if I pray

  866. for another ten minutes more? You say the time, But

  867. then you start to get into that mold life. Hey

  868. I finished praying already. No, but what else to prayer?

  869. What's the point of staying here? I've got other things

  870. to do, you know, why stay on another ten minutes.

  871. But do that in it you know why. There's a

  872. reason why. How many of you work out gor jim?

  873. How many of you live weight? Heavyweight? How many reps

  874. do you live like the heaviest you go for the heaviest,

  875. or you go for a number of reps, you go

  876. for a wait both Okay, I also do a be await. Okay,

  877. you go to a certain stage, so I will try

  878. to live heavy. Okay, when I do live heavy, you

  879. go like five to six reps, get repetitions in one set,

  880. cup to six of them. Now, let me ask you

  881. this question, which is safe for eximple at number six?

  882. I can not ready? Which rep one to six do

  883. I grow the most muscle the the last one? Number six?

  884. Why number six? Because that's why you can track your

  885. muscle and say it's the number. Is what they call

  886. the point of failure, isn't it? It's when you start

  887. to like you are tired, when you you when you

  888. want to lift it up halfway and you start to

  889. realize that, oh I can't, but you realize that maybe

  890. I can. In my mind, I got nothing, but I'm

  891. going to make something out of nothing. You know, a

  892. whole dyam can hear you, ma, mom. You know you

  893. pull and you finally get it. It's like, oh, it

  894. was always there. The last one is the one that

  895. you grow the most. The same thing in prayer. I

  896. may ask you, then, if number six is what you grow,

  897. what is the point of one to five life? One

  898. to five is to get you to six? Yeah, I

  899. mean right, one to five. The whole purpose you do

  900. one to five is to get you to six, to

  901. the point where you actually grow. You don't really grow

  902. from one to five, but you need to get to

  903. the point to grow when you are failing that way,

  904. when your stuff, when you start growing. A lot of

  905. times are sometimes when my family, my daughter will tell me, there,

  906. I've been doing this for so long. Ready, I don't

  907. feel I'm growing. I play basketball, I do this, you know,

  908. I feel I'm not growing, you know, after so long? Yeah,

  909. I said, wow, that's good because you hit a wall

  910. right now. That is your highest potential for growth. You

  911. hit the potential right now where you expose you overcome this,

  912. you grow the highest. You realize that now a lot

  913. of you are hitting a wall. But instead of being demotivated,

  914. that is the point that all you're that you're working

  915. through is reaching that point, and that point is where

  916. you need to break through. You don't give up. You

  917. come saying, no, you don't give up. That's the point

  918. when you experience the most growth. You know, that's the point.

  919. Sometimes you hear, don't hear God answering your prayer. You know,

  920. you don't feel like you don't want to do it

  921. one another, but that is where all your life, your

  922. growth need to happen. Your growth is leading you to

  923. this point and you have to make a choice. You

  924. come saying you know it's where like ah yes or

  925. no ah, I can't and you is the choice. You

  926. realize it's not about you feel like it when you're

  927. lifting the last number six that you don't feel like

  928. it one and all, But you make a choice and

  929. you push through. It's the choice that pushes you true

  930. one an, it's very amazing. One and on the choice

  931. and your will overcomes all your feelings, Oh, I don't

  932. feel like it. You overcomes it. One No, that's the truth,

  933. one it all. And you realize when you did that,

  934. the next one you come, your mind changes, your mind change.

  935. I can do seven because you did six, you know

  936. I can do seven. In the next round. You see

  937. what I'm saying and not it's so everything. I'm trying

  938. to tell you, guys that you don't be dictated by

  939. your feelings. That's why you've never been growing. Don't let

  940. your feelings control you. When you are a child, you

  941. get controled by feelings, But when you're older, the eternal

  942. mass influence you something greater. Now, once you understand that,

  943. let me close with this part. When I say that

  944. this part isn't pushed you into prayer, isn't it? Let

  945. me tell you what happens when you have nothing else

  946. to pray and you stay in prayer. What happens? Let

  947. me right, I wrote somebody these thoughts here as I close.

  948. When you've emptied yourself, you all prayer points, and when

  949. you're spent and you stay there, you begin to realize

  950. after a while that your prayers is not meant to

  951. solve your worries, you know, but it's more about offering

  952. your worries, and they stay a bit longer. You start

  953. to develop a clearer awareness. Then you begin to ask yourself,

  954. have you been doing things of your own strength? Have

  955. you been wise in your own eyes? Have I really

  956. truly acknowledged God, or have I been sought flesh worldly

  957. and colnorly minded. That is why I keep asking myself,

  958. is God even pleased with me? Is this the prayer

  959. that he wants me to pray? Even after all your prayers?

  960. And I stay on a bit longer, I begin to

  961. realize that prayer reveals more about me than God's will.

  962. Prayer is humility, And I begin to sink deeper into

  963. this water to my own helplessness. As I sink deeper

  964. and deeper and realize my own weaknesses, my own hypocrisy,

  965. my own desperation, things begin to separate. Oil begins to

  966. separate from the water. Flesh begins to separate from the spirit.

  967. What you want, what you need, what's from me from

  968. the world, and what from God begins to become more clear,

  969. and they're separate. And then you begin to realize your

  970. desperate need for God and for the Holy Spirit. You've

  971. been a mess, That's why you need him. You begin

  972. to become more quiet, You begin more willing to submit,

  973. and then you begin to pray the most basic of prayers.

  974. Instead of asking for things, you begin to ask God

  975. for mercy. You begins to God, ask God to examine you.

  976. They begin to ask God to be gentle, but to

  977. draw out the truth in you as well. You're no

  978. longer just a student, a worker, a father, a pastor,

  979. or anything else. You are just an empty and naked

  980. vessel before and Almighty God. Instead of praying, you begin

  981. to ask that you want to know God because you

  982. realize there are conflicting things in the spirit in this

  983. world that are being fed to you. It's God angry

  984. with me? Does he love me? And you cry out, God,

  985. I want to know you. I want the truth and

  986. nothing else, because you realize there's something coming out of you.

  987. There is a thirst, there is a hunger. I don't

  988. want to just feed my feelings. I want the truth

  989. because it is the truth that gives me peace. It

  990. is the truth that sets me free. And when you

  991. begin to ask for truth, and you desire truth more

  992. than nothing else, you begin to ask God to teach

  993. you how to pray, to prayer that you ought to pray,

  994. to desire as you ought to desire, to dream as

  995. you ought to dream. And now of all this, you

  996. begin to give God that one thing that matters at

  997. that moment, that one thing, the only thing that you

  998. can give, and that is your faith, that small moment

  999. of choice that you can make to trust in God.

1000. Say God, as weak as I am, I put my

1001. trust in you. I believe in you have mercy upon me.

1002. And in return, you begin to feel the tenderness and

1003. mercy of God. That the word of God that says

1004. draw near to him, and He will draw near to you,

1005. and you begin to change. You begin to realize that

1006. prayer is not just about asking prayers. Prayer is about

1007. setting yourself free from your circumstances, from your environment. I

1008. am out of prayer, you emerge with more faith. You

1009. emerge with more love to love those around you, to

1010. love those who hurt you and offend you, to forgive,

1011. to repent, and to have more hope in your life.

  1012. That is prayer.
