X chapter two, Verse seventeen twenty one. What does it say? Okay,

let me give you a little bit of a context.

it can test. You know that you can actually test

whether it's true or not by basing it on the

word of God. Even today, whatever I'm sharing you, you

can actually test whether it's true or not by reading

the word of God. You catch that. So it's very

important to know something. So I will encourage you to

do your own study because if not, you're gonna be

swight left and right. You're gonna go according to trends

and what's popular. And then the said thing is that

you might lose your weight, right, you might lose your way, okay,

so be careful. So what happened was the Holy Spirit came, right,

The Holy Spirit came, and then there was a sound

of them were praying upstairs, right, waiting for the helper,

your faith, you understand the God you serve, and you

not praying empty words. But you're praying prayers or power

that will happen. You want to experience God. Right, God

is real, He is alive. Okay, better get back to

the message X Chapter two, verse seventeen. That's where I

want to go. And it shall come to pass. And

this is Peter he's preaching. Okay. It says here it

shall come to pass in the last day. It says God,

that I will pour out my spirit on all flesh.

Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. Your young men

shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

And on my man servants and my maid servants. I

will pour out my spirit in those days, and they

shall prophesy. I will show wonders in heaven and above,

and signs in the earth beneath blood and fire and

vapor of smoke. Right, and the sun shall be turned

into darkness and the moon into blood before the coming

of the great and awesome Day of the Lord. And

it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the

name of the Lord shall be saved. Do you know?

And then of course after that, people God say, then

the church first church started three thousand people got to

say the first Church started. This is our church, his

three friends. We got to understand and know our church

history no matter what other people say. This read the

first Church started. Okay, it's very clear written here, and

I want to encourage you some of these things that

I just read. It is very applicable to us today

because it says here that whoever calls on the name

of the Lord shall be saved. So let me ask

you another elementary question. Have you called on the name

just I accept Christ same thing because we believe that

God saves and God sent his son, his only big

say that Jesus is our Savior. So all of you

here who profess that your Christian and profess you know

upon the name of the Lord. This is not some

Let me reverse a little bit, and it says here

I will pour out my spirit in those days right,

and they shall prophestigh. I will show wonders in heaven,

a birth, and science in the earth beneath. Do you

know that when God said he will pour out his spirit,

he has already done it when the Pentecosts happened. So

God's spirits here He has poured out in his spirit

on who who my man servants and my maid servants yourlla.

God has done that, not to somebody who got named

pastor not to somebody who got named prophet or evangelist

or No. Everyone here, if you serve God, God has

poured out his spirit on you. You guys catch that not.

You gotta understand this, No, you don't understand this. As

a believer, right, then you're going to be living life,

not tapping into this not understanding the depth of scripture

in your life, not just that the relevance of scripture

in your life. But where did Paul get this scripture from? Because,

of course, if I'm saying that, he means that God

or poor spirit, right, he really did on the day

where Paul preached this. Do you know that, Paul, Hey,

But the day of the Lord is coming, or it

and he relents from doing harm. So what does this mean? Friends?

The day of the Lord is come. Yes, but there

is a call to repentance. You'll understand the word called

to repentance. I'm beginning to understand more and more nowadays.

What does it mean to repent? Right? Just because we

are safe by Christ doesn't mean we don't need to repent.

We still need to repent daily. You know why, because

you're not perfect. You make mistakes. You said, Jesus, clean

my you know, cleanse me. Tan's my sins. But we

are still on this earth. We still get hurt by people,

We still make mistakes. We are still by products of

our history and our family background. You know, we still

get angry. We still do things we don't mean to do.

Paul in the scripture says, I do the things I

don't want to do correct, no, friends, and all the

things I want to do I don't do. Right. I

do want to eat the doughnut by really really, I

want to exercise and have six backs by don't do.

That's human nature, right, that's human nature. That's why we

need to understan repentance. That's why we can always go

back to Christ and say, Lord, I'm sorry, I repent,

help me, And there is a transformation that happens in

your life. Friends. This is the powerful thing about following Jesus,

that we are never the same again. And for some

of us it's just like that. Change transform. Last time

used to smoke, Now don't smoke anymore. Last time used

to be addicted to something, Now not addicted anymore. Praise

God for that. But you're still here, You're still you.

You're not perfect, right, you still need to rely on

Jesus and the Holy Spirit, Coriana. So the repentance is continuous, right,

because we're constantly having to come to g and say, Jesus,

I'm so sorry. But you want to know, the cool

thing about that is that you can at least still

say sorry. At least you can repent. That's the powerful

thing about our faith. A man's can still be made

well as long as you're still a lifeline. That's why

every time when you know you want to prepare someone

who's going to pass already, you first start saving to

go and forgive everybody. Please, don't hold any more grudges

for what you're ready that beat you're gonna go to

see Jesus, id better forgive. We ask everybody who got

forgiveness clear, so that that thing doesn't become bitterness in

your life. Do you know that it's very difficult. When

how do you deal it? Difficult? That's why there's repentance

for us. So first there's a call to repentance, friends,

is this significant in our life today? Think about it?

You want Christ to move in your life? Well, repent,

They will have to change their behavior. Then maybe if

you'll realize that the person has honestly, true fully changed

or at least is trying to, then you will help

them correct. But why when it comes to most of

continue to ignore that little nudging in your heart, after

a while, your heart will become numb and then everything

allow him to lead your life or not. Because after

of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh,

and dead which is born of the spirit spirit. Okay.

Third point, the spirit actually leads us to live for

God he does, to live a different life as children

of God. That's why you hear so many testimonies about

how people before they believer, they live like that, but

after the realer they live differently. Oh, because they have

a very strong moral resolve. Right, No, it's because the

Spirit leads them. It's because when we allow God to say, God,

I want you to take over, he does. And that's

where he works with us. And that's where he tells

We still have a choice to decide what to do.

To say God's way or the world's way or my way.

We have to decide Romans eight twelve to seventeen. He

says here, for if you live according to the flesh,

you will die. But if by the spirit you put

You want to live abandon life in Christ, in Christ,

in God, then you got to put to death the

things of the flesh. Right, I don't know which point

point is the spirit teaches us and reminds us of

Christ's teachings. This are I quite like John fourteen twenty

six says, But the helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the

Father will send in my name, he will teach you

an example, and then you will well figure out whether

you experience it or not. And we have not experienced

it yet, then maybe you have not experienced the Spirit

minister to people, encourage them, counsel them. A lot of times,

I was talking to all my guys and he said like, oh, yeah,

the time we mentioned diseaseaes right, and the time was

not past it. And I'm like, wow, that sounds very good.

But I don't remember ever saying that. I wish I

could write down all the quotes that I said that

people say it was good, which I don't remember. Do

you know that that was not me? My God? That

is the partnership happening. That's why the Spirit teaches us

and reminds us of God's teaching. He's really working in

our lives. No friends, just wondering whether I'm making sense

or not by giving you this thought. So I want

to encourage you to engage him a little bit more

cannot engage him a little bit more on your life. Right,

don't have to come to pasta to activate anything. It's

really activated because those who call upon the name of

the Lord shall be safe. Scripture said. Okay, next one,

the Spirit interceeds for us in our weakness, Romans aid

for we do not know what we should pray for

leaders have done before. And my encouragement to the leaders is,

you continue practice, then you go deeper in it and

you get better in it, and people will recognize the gifting.

Right in PJ. I just used Pj's example. There are

a lot of evangelists praise the Lord. We need to

reach more people, right, But all the evangelis didn't know

they were evangelists. So I'm like, you guys have not

been doing a job. Blah, Maybe you need to do

a bit of a job. But some of them we

know because after Sunday, after service, two or three of

them will go and meet people at the cafe and

talk to them and pray for them, and every time

they will be thinking, when can I invite this person

the church. Isn't that an evangelist gifting? Who gave the

gifting the spirit? So you see, just because you have

the gif doesn't mean you will use it. So my

encouragement is, can you discover what is the gift you

have and use it for the benefit of the church

and the benefit of your life, because when you start

getting involved in some of these things, it's very exciting. One.

When you start seeing God move in your life beyond

your own efforts, it's very exciting one. That's my encouragement.

So I don't know what are the giftings in extra us.

more gentle after a while you love people a little

bit more. If you knew who I was when I

twenty years ago, you will never have imagined. You know,

and something you know? I think I think we shall

know me from the last time. You will never have

imagine that I'm here doing this right now. You never

you will never. It's like this guy, he can't even

smile properly. He's so unfriendly when he's doing XTV. Do

thing about comfort. The more comfortable we are, the more

far away from God, you we might get one might get.

I'm not saying will get might get because we don't

need him only when we need go to come to him.

And I'm not saying God purposely create problem in your

life you now right if you feel that God's are

that he's not cruel most of the time. The problem

that's a uh, that's a continue saying to gay to

your problem. A lot of times are that sequences when

we decide on the things. So it's not intentional. But

when you realize and you come back like the prodigal son,

I always like to think of it this way. It's

the way I process my thoughts. When something happen, whether

it's in your life or in your church, who benefits?

I always ask this question. You know, if you're if

let's say you get angry at someone here, Okay, you know,

pass the gloria are too nice? You don't like and

live and live live? Who benefits? Our friends? When it happens,

pass the gloria benefits? Do you benefit? Who benefits? The

devil benefits? So are we continuously going to do things

that let the devil benefit? Or are we going to

start doing things that will cause us to benefit? Think

about it. I always apply that that evaluation. No like Okay,

this thing happened. Who benefits most of the time? The

church woll benefit? Or no, you don't most of the time.

But I don't know why a lot of people got

with who benefits? When people are not committed to church,

Of course, they were going through a bit of a

challenge with different things. But last year we had like

a mandate to sort revived the school through doing different things.

And one of the ideas that the you know management

you know, wanted to do was to do a school play,

you know, because with that, you know, we believe that

the young people will not just be able to express themselves,

to be able to learn not just skills, but also values,

you know, things like perseverance, you know, hard work and

stuff like that, not to say that they don't know,

but another form. So we did a play, and of

course Victory Academy a Y is very closely related. We're

like under the same organization Right, which X is also

part of RIGHT. And I work I worked for a

YA Okay, I'm not a full time pastor. Just let

you know. I work for Truma. No, of course he

intern with us. Okay, So I work for a y A.

But my full time job is I do I manage

a video department. Okay, That's what I do. Okay, So

people ask you got Monday off of course pastes and

no okay, after work tomorrow. So so what happened was

typically because I'm part of the video department and video play,

same same, I was dropped into this project to also

do something, okay, and can I be honest, I wasn't

very keen on it because aware busy, really right, So

I did it? Okay, did it? You know because our

we we do the product together, and we managed to

produce something yay done. You know. It was quite challenge,

It was difficult. It was not fun, per se. I'd

enjoy yourself, right, the workers have to work, okay, and

then come this year, Oh no, another play. Oh no,

I'm involved. I really plan really in my miner. Okay,

I'm going to present this present day. I'm going to

present this to my management and say I cannot participate

because you know, I have a lot of other things

to do and it's valid, not valid, and and you know,

maybe someone else can take it up, or someone else

can can be a part of it, right, And and

I was planning to ready, but I got too busy,

and it was kind of like, you know, like deadlines

are looming. You're supposed to do something, but you haven't done,

and it's solely loom loom loom, loom loom, and you're like,

you need to write a script, right, And I thought,

I write script first, and then I exit. You know,

at least I gave a script, you know, at least

I did something land right, because who else right? Right?

So I write, at least I gave something. Then easier

for me to say, bye bye, right, okay, here the script,

bye bye, your help, Okay, I will go do other things.

That was on my heart but don't know why. And

I remember two weeks, it was a two week thing.

I got so busier. Well, I felt like being pushed

off the clift kind of busy, you know, right, because

you do script, you do. And then and I'm like,

and then I didn't have a chance to talk through

the management yet and the script was not done at all.

And let's just say that it came to a point.

You know, some people, right when they push off the

h right, there's only two ways you'll go. You either

go all out or you'll give up. Okay, give up.

It's not in my vocabulary. I think so far that

has not happened. So I went the other direction. I

wen the youyolo direction. Okay, you know your low you

only fans, So I yolo warm made out the script

in two days. Yeah, we have the help of CHADBD.

I had to put that in. And I know you

have to write, okay. And then God changed my perspective.

God asked me, Delvin, why are you so not happy

doing this? I'm like, but God, I'm so busy. Right,

this is even not my idea. Someone else want to

do it, you know, see, we all these thoughts. And

then I'm like, yeah, but what why? You know it's

it takes up the day in my week. You know,

I could do a lot of things that day it's

a whole day. You know, I have to deal with

these kids. Not easy. I really respect teachers after that,

not easy to deal with young kids. Two of my

sons go to that school. And this is the perspective, Elvin.

Where else in this world where you as a dad

can be directly involved in your kid's life in school.

Where else even if I, let's say that, let's say

they study in another school, and even if I really

wanted to do this with them, I would probably have

to take a one day live, commit my one day

life and go and offer myself to the school to

do whatever they want me to do, even if I

really wanted to. But this one now is a little

unique course. Its power world. So I am quote unquote

allowed to do it. Right, change your perspective? And I

was like, oh yeah, actually okay, and not so bad

as what you get to be part of. I get

to do something that my kids can actually benefit from,

right although it's small work and all, but it changed

my perspective. And then I said remind, I say, Yolo, okay, God,

let's just do it. La. We will think about next

and next year, but let's just give it our best.

Let's just let me just do my best. Let me

just give it my all, Let me just give it everything. Right,

I went the other direction, you know, not disrection, not

middle disrection all the way. Okay, do or die. Don't

worry so much, of course, take your yourself and now,

but just give my best, right, give my best within

my gifting, give my best with all these things. Don't

think about the renumeration, don't think about the benefit, don't

think about all these things. Just give my best and

honor you with this. And then the testimonies came. Can

we me show the last picture this d year, friends,

this year, let me show you on testimony. So we

run it. And of course after that, I mean, from

the script I think to the actual play is a

few months las. So it was a your lo like whatever,

I just do, you know, and then got so changed

my heart, and then from the dragging feet too, it

became more, hey, this is not so bad, Hey, this

not so hey, it's still working our friends, it's still

working on my schedule didn't change because of this. I

didn't start. God didn't certainly open the door and say, Elvin,

now you don't have to do these other ten projects

because you're focusing on this No, the's ten projects, you're

there are friends. I said, to work hard. But it

was a surrender to the lord after that revelation to say, okayla,

since no one has chanced, I got this chance, let

me just do it. Let me just be faitful with it.

And then this where the testimonies came. Underplay. The title

is let my People Grow. Actually about just's we're father,

He's father the same school. We did the play a

week before the play because we had it in uh

jaia Wan. I mean, the management decided to do Jaiauan.

So because I'm from bj we meet in jai Wan

and I know the management, so I helped make the booking, okay,

very convenient. Okay, so the week before one of the

students came, one of the main actors came. I mean,

I want to say who, but I think Jason might know.

One of the main actors came. Make actresses came right

because wanted to see the stage. Because the dad came

to check the sound. You know, the dad was partly

sound Tam and this student, I would say, unfortunately, it's

from a broken family. Okay, not the best, you know,

but from a broken family, and I'm aware, you know,

and it's not, but it's still okay. So came and

then after church, you know, we finished, and the students

sitting there and so, hey, you came, and he said

you have to check out the place. Oh yeah, to

check out the place. And I say, hey, come on,

come on the stag sho so they can feel it,

can now. Yeah, of course this is our church, so

come sorry, brought the staurant on station with standing there looking.

I mean, people are like packing up, going ready, going

off ready, And then the students said to me, no, pastor,

I feel like, oh well, I'm like, oh why Because

when I was growing up. The student's mom worked for

the theater company that managed Jaya one Pgli Fasttu part

time and the owners had no kids. The owner to

manage the theata company had no kids, so they always

give free tickets to the mom to bring her kids

to come. So she said, when I was younger, I

used to sit there where you're sitting now, and I

used to watch the play. But now I'm here, I'm

going to perform next week. Oh I'm damn, like I said,

I almost cried. Why do I almost cry? Not because

the play, not because but because if the play can

be a core memory, a good core memory in the

life of a young person whose life is messy, why

not do it? Think about it? To me, it was

all worth it. But there were more testimonies. Let me

show you one more and I'll end. So we did

the play the following way. Everybody happy. I mean, there

are a lot of other testimonies are but this are

the two that I really really stuck. The man one

of the students. So we have five dancers. One of

the students. One of the dancers, she's wear timmate and

everywhere she will wear mass and she will opened the face.

She won't talk to you. She's shy. Even the the

mom would say, I don't know. At home, the soudent

does that lot. But to us it's like, but you're acting,

how you wear masks and dance, right, So of course

we I mean, I didn't know how how deep this was.

But we ran the play and we finished the play,

and then this mom came up to actually speak to

one of our teammates, and the mom said, thank you

so much, thank you so much for doing this. Then

we're like, why, what's the big deal? Thank you so much?

Because it's the first time in my life I see

my child on stage confidently dancing with no mass for

one hour and thirty minutes. And she was crying the

whole way because she will never have imagined her daughter

doing that. I just remember one more test moning last time,

I leave it to you. So we had team meeting

after that appreciation. Then we were sharing some of these

testimonies and one of the parents in our organization, I

want to say, hula shot up, wanted to share, couldn't

get a word out. Finally, after an awkward fifteen minutes

of sobbing, the person finally said, I'm so proud to

see my kids. And the kids were very young primary

on stage performing because when they were in kindergarten they

didn't want to do anything. But they were so confidently

on stage dancing and singing, and that to me was

very precious. And I was like, oh Lord, thank god

I didn't give up, Thank God I didn't give up.

How many of us here today, if you would have

not given up, no matter how difficult it was to

hold on your faith or to hold on the promises

that God has for you, if you would have not

given up the amount of fruit and frigance that will

come out of the sacrifice would have been great, not

just for you, you know, because we're win think about

ourselves now. I look at myself like, what was so selfish?

But yeah, it was suffering. But it came to a

point where I say, God is all worth it. Thank

you for letting me do this. All the six months

was worth it. And it kind of ignited another fire

in my heart. Because can we go back to the

first picture, because ex Church, right, since the year two

thousand and five, we've been very active producing plays on Christmas,

doing shows and shows and shows. And of course during

that time we were young, we had different people in charge.

You know. I was there from day one, you know,

and I was not. I didn't play a main role.

I was just producerney because I prefer to be second,

you know, I didn't play them in a role. But

unfortunately through the years. You know, drama. The thing about

drama is there's a lot of drama. It is it is,

and don't know why. The people in drama very drama also,

so let's just say a lot of drama, okay, and

the only surviving members very funny, we laugh about it.

That experience with VA caused me to dream again that God,

can you revive performing arts in our church because we

used to produce things like this that want to wats.

No friends not not local one, No, we actual pepatally

pay money come and watch. As I tell you, I

also can people pay money? Yeah, people actually pay money

to come and watch our shows. Good money pay can

watch our shows outside. But I guess the devil is

a no sla with every success because the thief comes

still can't destroy, right, So who benefits when there's drama?

Not the drama we intend, but the drama we don't intend,

The devil who benefits. So it has rented the dream

in my heart again to say, Lord, would you allow us?

Because I wonder how many more testimonies that will come

out of this, because to be honest, I'm not getting

any younger in my mom like O Killer. You know,

let the young people do it right. But God has

regnited my heart to say, Elbin, won't you dream again?

And again? I know it's not gonna be forever, you know,

hopefully we can build a team, get more younger people.

dream again to the desires that God has placed in

will you dream again? Not be your own strength? We

sang just now by God's will, and with God's strength

we can write. That's why we need to understand our faith,

because if we can understand that we are not doing

this alone, that the Holy Spirit is the one that

guides us, we can do great things for him. Amen.

And out of a difficult place, out of a stressful place,

out of a challenging place, God can cause it to

have sweet fragrance that glorifies Him. Amen.
