  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. What is the true meaning of Christmas? Besides, if you

  4. take away all the glimmer and the brightness, what do

  5. you get out of it?

  6. Right?

  7. What can you understand if someone is going to ask you,

  8. what does Christmas truly mean to you? Is it going

  9. to be those presents and cookies and the tree, or

  10. is it beyond that the very gift that no one

  11. else can ever give us, the gift that is towards eternity,

  12. the kind of peace that no one else can give us,

  13. but only God. Yeah, so if you have your Bibles, Okay,

  14. why don't we turn to my card chapter five? Thank you, Juny.

  15. Just follow through the scripture, sirm Okay, so my card

  16. chapter five five. Okay, let's look at versus one on words. Yeah,

  17. all right, So versus one is of course a continuation

  18. from the chapter above. Okay, but let's look at verses

  19. two on words. Right. Chapter five, Versus two, it says, heer,

  20. but you, Bethlehem, Aprit, though you are little among the

  21. thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forward

  22. to me the one to be ruler in Israel, whose

  23. goings fort are from of all, from everlasting. Therefore he

  24. shall give them up until the time that she was

  25. in labor as given birth. Then the remnant of his

  26. brethren shall return to the children of Israel, and he

  27. shall stand and feed his flock in the strength of

  28. the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the

  29. Lord he's got, and they shall abide. For now he

  30. shall be great to the ends of the earth. Was five,

  31. and this one shall be peace. Amen. So if you

  32. look at this portion of scripture here, okay, if we

  33. look at this whole, you know it starts off by

  34. saying Bethlehem of Apraath. Right during this time, if we

  35. go back to history and we try to learn the

  36. people was living in a lot of oppression. Okay, they

  37. were going through a lot of difficulty. They're going through

  38. a lot of struggles, right, And that is when this

  39. word was given, a prophecy was given of what's to come. Yeah,

  40. And that is why when we read on it says here,

  41. yet out of you shall come forward to me, to

  42. the one who is the ruler of Israel. So if

  43. you can just go back to that whole context of

  44. you know, people being so powerless, oppressed in struggle and

  45. wondering when is our help going to come? And they

  46. were actually waiting for the Messiah. Yeah, and so I'd

  47. just like to share with you a couple of pointers

  48. that we can draw from this chapter about who this

  49. gift of hope is that is given, which is very

  50. much relatable to the times that we are living in

  51. as well and the different seasons that you could be in. Yeah.

  52. The first one is that we can see from verses

  53. two on wards is that he is the promised Messiah, right,

  54. that's the first point. He is the promised Messiah. In

  55. the midst of the shame the people that were going

  56. through the sufferings that they were going through, God revealed

  57. his grace, his mercy, his justice, and in fact his

  58. gift of salvation. God did not come earlier later. In fact,

  59. he came at the right time. Jesus came at the

  60. right time. Yeah. And as mentioned, you know, and we

  61. know this place, Battlelyhem is a very small, insignificant place,

  62. and yet God chose that very town. Well, I think

  63. this tells us something about who God is, right, that

  64. is how he works he You know, as humans sometimes

  65. we like things to be big and famous and loud, right,

  66. But God chooses the smallest. God chooses the weakest. And

  67. that is why sometimes when you even hear testimonies, you

  68. hear people saying things like, wow, it's not ready for it,

  69. you know, or I was not equipped or I thought

  70. I couldn't do it, but yet God showed up. But

  71. imagine if you have at all of it figured out

  72. and then you go and answer a call or do something,

  73. But how is God going to actually show up? Or

  74. how is his name going to be glorified? And that

  75. is why I believe that is how God uses our

  76. circumstances or different seasons in life to actually show up. Yeah,

  77. and you know, just just echoing the different testimonies we

  78. heard about the mission strip. You know, I was part

  79. of it as well, and Elaine was the team leader, right,

  80. and so when we signed up for this strip, you know,

  81. me and Elien were just chatting about it. You know,

  82. we didn't know that things would have been so busy

  83. during the leading on towards missions and after missions again,

  84. some of you would have known. My one of my

  85. testimonies that I shed that I didn't know that I were

  86. losing my job okay. So when I signed up for

  87. this mission strip, I didn't know I was that's going

  88. to happen. Okay. So I was like, okay, I think

  89. I can manage the trip because it's going to be

  90. towards the end of the year and you know, they

  91. will not be much work with school and so it's

  92. going to be an easier season of the year. Right.

  93. But who knew? Okay, I lost my job and because

  94. the company was restructuring, there were more work to be done, okay.

  95. So leading on until the last day of missions, I

  96. was telling Ilien, I just need God's strength because it's

  97. just so tiring, you know, to get things down the

  98. very tight timeline, you know. And I just went in faith, okay.

  99. And of course I had to prepare my message as well,

  100. and not just in English but in Bahasa okay. And

  101. so I was saying, God, you need to give me

  102. the words to speak the message that you want me

  103. to deliver to the people. Right. And so I preached

  104. that night. Okay. I preached that night and we had

  105. a sketch going on, and then there were they had

  106. special Christmas celebration on a Saturday. Yeah, So I went

  107. forward and you know, I was all smiling, but Dibdin

  108. God knew how how nervous I was thinking that would

  109. I say the wrong basa word, you know, to get

  110. the people's attention, or the right word to say, right?

  111. But I just said, God, I surrender. At this point,

  112. I don't think I have anything in control. I can

  113. only do what I can. But you lead the way,

  114. That's all I said. Yeah, And so I just preached again.

  115. I preached. I didn't plan to actually even share my

  116. testimony about you know, losing my mom and how you know,

  117. I got walked through with me. But I have felt

  118. the nutch of the Holy Spirit when I was preaching,

  119. you know, And so I just was obedient and I

  120. shed it. And so I preached. I preached the whole message.

  121. And then after the summon, as I was sitting down

  122. and they're all eating, and then I had few sisters

  123. who came, the different eboos, the ladies there, they call

  124. them as ebus. And so this one Ebu came to me.

  125. Her name is Katherine, right, and so she came to

  126. me and she said, pastor, message she said in Malay,

  127. I say in English, yeah, Pasta, the message you shed

  128. to me was really for me. I walked in halfway

  129. and I was looking. I said, Si, the pantucha cup,

  130. so I put your chac up. Okay. I looked at

  131. this girl in the front, thing, why is she talking?

  132. Because you know it's not the usual pastor was preaching. Yeah,

  133. so she's a new person who's not a regular, so

  134. she's start wondering, okay with this person. But everything you

  135. said was like God telling me and I needed to

  136. hear it. And then she was in all tears. And

  137. at that point I was actually thinking in my mind

  138. like did I actually preach well? As in like did

  139. I say the right words? Did I say enough? You know,

  140. it's just the human part of me. I was thinking

  141. like did you see enough? And all that? And then

  142. she came and she said, basta you mukin figure Basago

  143. sang at tappy sung at jealous. Okay, you you think

  144. translating it, you think your basa was not good enough.

  145. But it was so clear just for me to know

  146. and receive it. And then she said, by the way,

  147. I lost my father last year during Christmas season and

  148. it is a difficult season for me. And when I

  149. heard your testimony, just God just gave me hope. Yeah,

  150. and that is when I was reminded that God uses

  151. your the smallest that you can bring and offer your weaknesses,

  152. you know, the stories that you have, your brokenness. Sometimes

  153. to you you may think it's just a hardship I

  154. went through, right, who can relate to it? But you

  155. never know how far it goes because these are real stories. Yeah.

  156. And like what Mikael said, sometimes we'd never we we

  157. take testimony something very light, but no, they are very powerful. Yeah,

  158. and that is what God uses. And so going back

  159. to the scriptures here, God used a small town like

  160. Bethlehem to bring the story of the King of Kings. Yeah.

  161. And if you're seated here thinking that I'm just too little,

  162. what impact am I going to bring? Or how am

  163. I going to be seen? But let me tell you this.

  164. God sees you. He knows you, He knows your heart,

  165. he knows your ability, he knows your strength. Men can

  166. can forget sometimes the closest people can forget it right

  167. like who this person is? Or what have you done?

  168. Have you done enough? But God remembers, Yeah, God remembers.

  169. God uses the smallest, the weakest to bring his name higher. Amen.

  170. And God is faithful to his promise when we read

  171. this scripture here, it was a prophecy, a word that

  172. was given, and true enough, it took place right, the

  173. miss came and he never abandoned this, okay. And as

  174. we know, when we read this scripture, it talked about

  175. that he is the one who is the ruler, he'll

  176. be the everlasting, and he shall be the one who

  177. is will be there savior. Yeah, he'll be there savior.

  178. Now let's look at Exiah chapter eleven versus one to five, right,

  179. Exire chapter eleven versus one to five. Okay, it saysier

  180. there shall come forth a rod from the scheme of Jesse,

  181. and a branch shall grow out of his roots. The

  182. spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit

  183. of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might,

  184. the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

  185. And so when we go back to this root of

  186. scheme of Jesse, it's just the lineage of King David, okay.

  187. And that was the prophecy given. In fact, some Bible

  188. scholars would say the Book of Isaiah is it's pretty

  189. much like the Fifth Gospel because it speaks so much

  190. about who this Jesus is about to come. Okay, And

  191. this is one of those examples where we can see

  192. that it prophesies that he will come as this theme

  193. of Jesse and during this time was again the time

  194. of oppression. And yet it says, and a brunch shall

  195. grow out of his roots. If you can imagine a

  196. root that is already about to break, and yet there's

  197. a green brunch coming out. And that is who Jesus is.

  198. He came out of that difficult situation, difficult time, right,

  199. And what does it say about him that the spirit

  200. of the Lord shall rest upon him? Who he is

  201. to us the spirit of wisdom and understanding. He's able

  202. to give us that right. He is the spirit of

  203. counsel and might. That is who he is, the spirit

  204. of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. And

  205. as we come to us the end of this year,

  206. why don't you take this scripture as a form of

  207. a reflection and ask the Lord what is it that

  208. you're seeking? God? More? Do you need more wisdom the world?

  209. Have God in the Book of James's asks for wisdom

  210. and it will be given unto you, right, Or maybe

  211. you're asking God, I just need understanding in this world

  212. of chaos and the news and the things I hear,

  213. and sometimes I can't even understand what's going on. Well,

  214. ask the Lord for understanding. He gives you clarity. Yeah.

  215. Or if you're in the midst of making decisions sometimes

  216. heard decisions, and you're wondering what should I do? Should

  217. I move, should I stay on? Should I what is it?

  218. He is the God of counsel, right, like it says

  219. in verse two, and might, and then he says, the

  220. spirit of knowledge. The world can offer us a lot

  221. of knowledge. Right with one click, you get all the

  222. information that you need. But we need the kind of

  223. knowledge that comes from God as well, so that we

  224. can actually be prudent with the knowledge that we have

  225. of the world. Yeah, we know how to kind of

  226. like have a balance, you know, to not just get

  227. all of the world because of what God says, You're

  228. not off the world. We're not called to be off

  229. the world, right to walk in the spirit. So if

  230. you have more of God's knowledge, more of his word

  231. in your life, you will also be prudent right put

  232. in a sense where you will know how to differentiate

  233. what is good knowledge and bad knowledge? What should I

  234. follow and what I should not sometimes the good looks done,

  235. the bad looks good sometimes, or the good may not

  236. always be good in the eyes of God. Right, So

  237. how then do we discern? How then do we choose?

  238. It is only through the knowledge of God. Yeah, So

  239. let this be your prayer as we come to us

  240. this final week of the Christmas to leading on towards Christmas.

  241. What is it that you're seeking for? What is it

  242. that you're asking the Lord? So that I can step

  243. into the new year with all these gifts with wisdom,

  244. is understanding, is knowledge, and I can leave this life

  245. to the fullest doing all that He has called me

  246. to do, be in the marketplace, in the ministry, or

  247. in your school, with so much more of strength. Not

  248. because I am capable, but because God has given me

  249. his wisdom, his knowledge, and He's understanding. Yeah. Let that

  250. be our prayer. So besides the like I said, the

  251. fun of Christmas, let's also take time to remember that

  252. He is the promise that has been given to us. Yeah,

  253. and let's hold on to this promised Messiah. Amen. Right now.

  254. The second point that we can learn from the Book

  255. of Micah as we read just now, is that he

  256. is the good Shepherd. Yeah, he is the good shepherd,

  257. it says in verses three. Therefore he shall give them

  258. up until the time that she is in the labor

  259. as given bird. Then the remnant of his brethren shall

  260. return to the churn of Israel, and he shall stand

  261. and feed his flock in the strength of the Lord. Yeah,

  262. he will feed his flock. So he is the good shepherd.

  263. There's different references in the Bible that mentions it as well.

  264. And as we know, a good shepherd does not leave

  265. even one person astree. Everyone is counted, okay, two, you

  266. might have ninety nine, and to everyone is say, you

  267. already have ninety nine, and it's okay. Let the one

  268. go astray and find their way back. No, he is

  269. going to wait until that one come back. Yeah. And

  270. a true sheep will know how to hear. He saw

  271. her voice of shepherd, right, You can hear when the

  272. shepherd calls. That is what part of knowing and having

  273. the understanding and the wisdom of God. If you have

  274. his wisdom, if you have his understanding and discernment, when

  275. the shepherd calls you or gives you a nuts, you

  276. will know that, Okay, this is him who is calling me,

  277. and I'm gonna go after him. Yeah, let's desire to

  278. have that kind of a relationship with our father in heaven,

  279. the one that clearly is tuned in. Let's tune in

  280. our years, right, Let's tune in our frequency like they

  281. call it, so that we can know for sure this

  282. is the voice of God and this is not. And

  283. of course how can we do that. It's by spending

  284. more time with him, just like how it is with

  285. human relationships. The more time you spend with him, the

  286. more you know he's heart. Yeah, he's had. In John

  287. ten to sixteen, is says I have other sheep that

  288. are not off this fall, bring them also, and they

  289. will listen to my voice. So there will be one

  290. flock and one shepherd. That is the plan of God.

  291. One flock, one shepherd. There's not supposed to be a

  292. few shepherds. Okay, if not, you're going to confuse the sheeps. Right,

  293. There's going to be one flock, one shepherd. And that

  294. just means we are part of this plan of God

  295. reaching out to the other ships and bringing them back

  296. to that one flock. Right. And how many of us

  297. are you know, actively sharing our stories and sharing our

  298. gospel Christmas is a good time to share that message, right,

  299. the message of hope, the message of wisdom, you know,

  300. the message of you know, there's so much more hit

  301. though the world may not look like that. Right, It's

  302. about going with God and saying, yes, Lord, use me together,

  303. help me to answer this call, help me to be

  304. bold with my you know, with my my relationship with you,

  305. and to bring this good news to artist as well. Yeah,

  306. for those of you have been you know, joining us

  307. in the past two weeks, you know that we have

  308. been going through this series of unpacking the vision right,

  309. and unpacking the vision just means we're trying to share

  310. as many as much as we can to all our

  311. whole church about what the vision is that God has

  312. given to ex church, which is Habercook right, what it says,

  313. can you remember what's our the scripture that we hold

  314. on to our mission so that the water so that

  315. they all heard urge right, will be filled with the

  316. glory of God. Right, that everyone will know who God is.

  317. That is the main thing. Right, Like what Passe Againa

  318. always says, make the main thing the main thing right,

  319. do not confuse it with or what else? What if

  320. my talents are not enough for what if I can't

  321. what if this and reject me. It's just a rejection. Okay,

  322. give a smile and say it's okay. If you don't

  323. wan to come to church, let me try another time,

  324. or let me move on to another friend. Yeah. So

  325. we've been going through this series about unpacking the vision

  326. because we want everyone to be on board and they say, yes,

  327. let's do this together as one church. Yeahs. And in

  328. the coming year, we are very big about training our people,

  329. you know, we want to equip you know, if you're

  330. talking about doing small group like what we heard in

  331. the testimony just now, it's about training our young people

  332. so that they'll have their tools and the confidence to

  333. bring it out back to their campus or to bring

  334. it out back to your marketplace. Yeah, and to just

  335. keep doing the good work, you know. And so we

  336. want to equip our people. Yeah. So let's partner on

  337. with our shepherd, Okay, not to just enjoy being his sheep,

  338. you know, and his love and care just to ourselves,

  339. but to allow others to feel and know the message

  340. of hope as well. Amen. Right, it says in Efphicients

  341. two four to six. But God, who is rich in

  342. mercy because of His great love for us, even when

  343. we were date in our sins made us alive together

  344. with Christ. By grace, you have been saved. Turn to

  345. the person next to you and tell them, by grace

  346. you have been saved. Right, by grace, you have been saved.

  347. And so that just means we are God's gift. You know,

  348. we are chosen by God. And how precious is that gift? Right?

  349. And let's allow others also experience Him as their savior. Men.

  350. In Jeremiah thirty one Tree, it says, I have loved

  351. you with an everlasting love. Therefore I've drawn you with

  352. loving kindness. This is what God is telling us. I've

  353. loved you whenever, a lasting love, a love that can

  354. never be compared to anyone's love. Right, And this scripture

  355. we all know John Tree sixteen. For God so loved

  356. the world that he gave his one and only son

  357. that whoever that believes in him will not perish, but

  358. will have everlasting life. So you and I have that promise,

  359. an everlasting life. Yeah, what a blessing it is to

  360. have this gift. And so let's bring this to others

  361. as well. In this Christmas season of Christmas. You know,

  362. I was also thinking, who else can I invite, you know,

  363. to church? My friends and my aunt. So my aunt

  364. agree to say she's coming. She's not a believer yet,

  365. you know, so she's coming to church. And I have

  366. another friend who is coming as well. So I'm just thinking,

  367. you know, because we always look forward to Christmas, right,

  368. I mean time with friends and gifts and things like that.

  369. But I had this thought of, you know, how nice

  370. if more people will be able to experience this goodness,

  371. this sense of assurance. I'm not sure about you, but

  372. if you've been walking with God long enough, there's the

  373. sense of security that we have, you know, like, yes,

  374. whatever we see out there, whatever that's going on, there's

  375. a sense of peace and assurance that God is in control. Yeah,

  376. he has it all together. He is sovereign, you know.

  377. So just having that assurance keeps you going right no

  378. matter what hardships you go through. You kind of like

  379. you feel grounded, like what they say, right, you feel grounded.

  380. And then I begin to think about people out there

  381. who may have not known about this gift of Christ.

  382. How would it feel like not having the assurance, or

  383. not having the hope, or thinking like, oh, the world

  384. is just so chaotic and problems every other place. Is

  385. the world going to end? What's going to happen after that? Right?

  386. If you've had conversations with friends and themes, we talk

  387. about all these things, right, but deep down, if you're

  388. a believer, you have the peace and the assurance. Not

  389. like we are trouble free. We still go through trials,

  390. but we know that there's someone walking with us. Yeah,

  391. so let's be reminded of that, because the more we

  392. think of it that way, the more we want to

  393. share to Utherists that I want others to feel this

  394. good news as well, to be blessed, to be set free. Amen. Yeah,

  395. So let this be a Christmas task for all of us. Okay,

  396. we have this one week right as you're meeting different ones,

  397. you're during gatherings, you know, make it a point that

  398. you can share about God's love to them as well. Amen. Now,

  399. the next thing that we can learn from this portion

  400. of Scripture, it says, yeah, in Versus five, and this

  401. one shall be peace. Okay, and this one shall be peace,

  402. meaning he does not only gave us peace, but he

  403. is peaces self. So having him in your life means

  404. you have peace, peace that surpasses all understanding. Yeah. And

  405. the portion of scripture before that again says in verses three,

  406. until the time that she is in labor, has given

  407. Bird that the remnant of his brethren shall return to

  408. the children of Israel. And this example of giving bird

  409. is use. Okay, it's not talking about Virgin Mary. Yeah,

  410. it's not about that, but it's the whole example of

  411. you know, when when a woman goes through labor, the

  412. kind of pain that they go through, right, the kind

  413. of you know, mom's he or you would know this, right,

  414. the pain that you have to feel. But the moment

  415. the child comes out is the joy that it brings, right,

  416. the smile that it gives you, you know, and you're

  417. just filled with gratitude and say thank you Lord for

  418. this gift. And that is what the scripture is reminding

  419. us today. Sometimes we go through hardships, we go through brokenness,

  420. but out of the pain comes this prince of peace,

  421. comes this joy that it was Okay, I went through

  422. it because there was something else that's coming Bird out

  423. of it. Yeah, And this is what the scripture says.

  424. He is the peace. So if you're here struggling with anything,

  425. in your minds. You're going through anxiousness, you're going through

  426. emotional burdens. Let me just encourage us that this too

  427. shall pass. Right, this too shall pass because you know why,

  428. not just because human says it, but because God is sovereign.

  429. God is with you. He is your prince of peace.

  430. Yeah.

  431. And the Book of Timothy it reminds us that he

  432. has not given us a spirit of fear, but he

  433. has given us a spirit off sound mine, power, love,

  434. and sound mine. That is a gift he is given

  435. to us. So if you're still desiring for that sound mind,

  436. it is made available to us, if only we can

  437. ask of him. Yeah, we can ask of him. In

  438. Exiah fifty three versus five, it says, but he was

  439. wounded for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities.

  440. The punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and

  441. by his wounds we are healed a man. I'm going

  442. to read this again. But he was wounded for our transgressions.

  443. This eve were referring to his Jesus himself. He was

  444. crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought us peace

  445. was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed

  446. a man. And as I'm saying this, I'm just declaring

  447. this over different ones here who are believing for healing

  448. over your lives. Beat a physical healing, or beat a

  449. healing in your minds and your hearts. God is able

  450. to set you free. And you know what the good

  451. news is that He has done it all on the cross.

  452. He's done it all on the Calvary. And all we

  453. got to say is amen. Amen. Is just a sign

  454. of saying, yes, God, You've done it for me, and

  455. I'm just going to take it in. Yeah, we are

  456. healed by His wouness. In Philippians four four to seven,

  457. it says, rejoice in the Lord always. And I will

  458. say again, rejoice. Let your gentleness be evident to all.

  459. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything,

  460. but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanks giving,

  461. present your request to God and the peace of God,

  462. which surpasses all understanding. Will God your hearts and your minds. Amen. So,

  463. if there's anything that you are anxious about and wondering

  464. about how the new year is going to be like

  465. for me, the things that have got to handle, that

  466. is on my shoulders, right. But God doesn't want you

  467. to carry it on your shoulders. He wants you to

  468. lean on him, right, He wants you to hold on

  469. to him, and he's going to carry you through. Okay.

  470. But what the word of God tells us is to

  471. bring it to him by prayer, by petition, made it

  472. known to God. Yeah, and this saying sticks in my mind.

  473. I remember a speaker telling this once. You know, if

  474. you don't feel like praying, talk to God about it. Yeah,

  475. talk to God about it. Prayer is like talking to

  476. God about it. He is your closest friend, He is

  477. your father. He is your everything, and even things that

  478. you can't alter, true words. He knows what's in your heart.

  479. But it's just about making that space and that time

  480. and saying, God, I just need an encounter with you.

  481. Would you come and take over? Yeah? And his word

  482. says He's peace, which surpasses all understanding, meaning we don't

  483. have to get answers. Sometimes because you're looking for answers,

  484. you try't like, God, help me understand this. But what

  485. if we're not meant to understand it? Because that's how

  486. small our human minds are, right compared to who God is,

  487. you know, So sometimes he doesn't just want us to understand,

  488. but to just take on his peace. And He's peace

  489. will guard our hearts and our minds. And a person

  490. who walks out there having a guarded mind and heart

  491. is so secure because we are not relying on human

  492. or what we see in our physical eyes, but we

  493. are relying and trusting in the lot. Yeah, hearts and

  494. minds are guarded. Amen. So just like to encourage us

  495. with this simple message today about the message of hope.

  496. If someone has broken a promise, well maybe you might

  497. find encouragement that God has kept this promise with you.

  498. He has never failed you, He's never forsaken you. If

  499. someone has forgotten you, the Good Shepherd has not forgotten you.

  500. He remembers you. And you'll always remember you. Even when

  501. you feel that you don't you're not seen. And if

  502. you feel anxiousness in your heart, all you need in

  503. this season of Christmas is His peace, peace that surpasses

  504. all understanding. Amen. And as we close here, I just

  505. invite extreme. I just want to go back to that

  506. scripture on the Book of Isaiah and just leave you

  507. with this portion again. And I pray that this would

  508. be something that you can meditate right and reflect on

  509. throughout this week of Christmas. Okay, we read earlier just

  510. now about the reign of Jesse. Yeah, it says here

  511. in Isaiah eleven versus one on wards, there shall come

  512. forth a rod from the scheme of Jesse, and a

  513. brunch shall grow out of his roots. The spirit of

  514. the Lord shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom

  515. and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit

  516. of knowledge, and of the fear of the Lord versus three.

  517. His delight is in the fear of the Lord. And

  518. he shall not judge by the side of his eyes,

  519. nor decide by the yearing of his years. But with

  520. righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with iniquity.

  521. For the meek of the earth. He shall strike the

  522. earth with the wrath of his mouth, and with the

  523. breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked. Righteousness

  524. shall be the belt of his loins, and faithfulness the

  525. belt of his ways. And verses ten of the same chapter,

  526. it says, and in that day there shall be a

  527. rood of Jesse, who shall stand as a banner to

  528. the people, for the generals shall seek him, and his

  529. resting place shall be glorious. Amen. I just pray that

  530. in this season of Christmas, you will find rest in

  531. the God of Wisdom, the God of strength, the God

  532. of understanding, the God of knowledge, and even the God

  533. of counsel. Yeah. And as it says here that he

  534. will stand as a banner. And when we learn about

  535. banner here meaning banner means he stands up for us.

  536. He's there for us in every season of our lives. Yeah.

  537. And I pray that you'll find comfort in the Word

  538. of God and to take on this spirit of Christmas

  539. in you and being reminded that the spirit of the

  540. Lord is with us. Yeah. He wants to feel us,

  541. he wants to refresh us for the year. That's a

  542. hit and to just enjoy his presence. Amen.
