So, continuing on the theme of revival, I want you

to turn with me to the Book of Joshua, the

Book of Joshua. Okay, don't have any slices today. Just

I you know, I was doing some or doing this

or doing this reading and kind of struck me, I know,

talking about revival, talking about Holy Spirit as well.

Okay. So I turned to me.

In the book that Joshua, we're gonna read from chapter two,

I'm gonna study a bit about the story of ray Heap, Okay,

but I find something.

I found something very very interesting.

Okay, Ray the Book of Joshua, chapter two, I'm going

to read here from verse one. I probably will go

through the whole thing. My yeah, might probably go through,

but just bear with me. I'm going to do some

story telling, okay. So now chapter two, Verse one, you say,

is now Joshua and the son of Nun sent out

two men from a from Acacia grove growth to spy,

secretly saying go view the land, especially Jericho.

Okay.

So now Joshua, No and the israelit has just crossed

over the Jordan River. Okay, Joshua has been appointed anointed

by God to succeed after Moses as well. Okay, so

this guy is, you know, it's in a new and

challenging position as well as they crossover, uh so into

a land where there are many enemies. Of course it's

the Promised Land or not. But they're not inside the

Promised land year, but they are into this territory. And

this territory is inhabited by many people.

Okay.

And one of the first city is the city of Jericho,

and some of you are very very familiar as well.

The city of Jericho is famous for what what war walls? Okay,

uh and the theo Jericho is very famous for walls.

And it's not just any walls. There are walls are

at that time, Okay, at that time, it's actually quite advanced.

You must understand.

At that time the warfare weaponaries are quite different. How

many of you like to study medieval warfare? I love

studying medieval warfare. I was so so intubiated. You know,

it's like because you know why some of these people

are so ingenious. You look at the engineering, it's ingenious,

you know, like how they how they designed some of

the things, how they were able to build without machineries,

and so they have to think, you know. But recently

I just you know, I was watching on this video,

amazing video. You know if you go to Scotland, right,

you know that this is the place where they had

this Stonehage, you know, the Stonehage, the big now the

big stones are with the human facer, not that human facer,

but like now the stones at another hedge stones here

the humans the human number sorry, and people wondering how

they actually carry that thing, you know, with no machineries.

So recently there's a there's a university that actually tried

to challenge gave a test for students to try to

see how they will think of how to move this

thing up, you know, and you know how they started

like they think they might have solved it. You know

how they actually carry you know, how they actually carried

They were saying that the imagine this is a stone.

What they did is that they tied a rope around it,

the rate of success, It's about thirty percent. It's about

they are very confident of themselves, very very confident they

can last weeks and months, you know, sometimes up to

three to four months when not know they can outlast

you easily. One okay, now let's go back here. So

it says here and continue in verse one, verse one.

So they went and came to the house of a

hardered named Rubbah Rehab, and lodged them. And it was

told the King of Jericho saying, behold, men have come

here tonight from the children of Israel to search up

to search out the country. So the King of Jericho

sent to Rehab, saying, bring out the men who have

come to you, who have entered your house, for they

have come to search out all the country. Then the

woman took the two men and hit them. Interesting, they

came to their house and the king found out. The

king King found out, go to your house.

Okay.

But basically the I told you at this city is

very confident they are going to win. And then they

went and ask can you bring them out? We know

she there inside, she hearing there are Instead of following,

she actually knows that she knows that they know that

the two guys are in the house. Instead of bringer,

she actually choose to hit them. One no, no, Tama,

very tight, Tama. It's like police know that you you

have the two men now, but you still want to

hide one and all.

It's not that they don't know. They know already are,

but you still want to hide one and all. They

know already they were still having to hide on. Okay,

let's see what you do then the then in verse four,

then the woman took the two men and hit them.

So she said, yes, the men came to me, but

I did not know where they were from. Come on

with whole new story. And it happened as the gate

was being shut. When it was done that the men

went out. Where the men went, I do not know.

Pursue them quickly, for you may overtake them or mislead

them some more. But she had brought them up to

the roof and hidden them with the stalks of flash

Then the men pursued them by the road to the Jordan,

to the forts okay, which is the harbor. They all

in order forts, And as soon as those who pursued

them had gone out, they shut the gate.

Now before they lay down.

She came up to them on the roof and said

to the men, I know that the Lord has given

you the land, that the terror of you has fallen

on us, and all the inhabitants of the land are

fainthearted because of you.

Wow.

Now I want to ask you based on what she's

saying here, the man went into a house by coincidence.

Of all the houses, they could have gone into spy.

They choose to go to the house of a prostitute.

If you go back to your boss, who is Joshua,

who is a holy manner, you would choose to go

to a prostitute hel her.

It's kind of funny.

It's like I got scouting to plant a new church

and I choose to go to stay in a prostitutes

Lord has given you the lad She must have heard things,

and what she heard she made a conclusion in her

heart by faith you see her and in verse ten,

for we have heard how the Lord dried up the

water of the Red Sea for you when you came

out of Egypt. And what you did to the two

kings of the Emrights who were on the other side

of the Jordan, Sihon and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.

And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted.

Neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because

of you. For the Lord, your God, he is God

in heaven, a birth, and on earth beneath. Oh, I

tell you, is there a confession of faith or not.

She don't need any sermoner, don't need any preaching, don't

need any worship song. She already gave her life to

Jesus ready, you know, she already cared.

Lo they care this.

Your God is the God of heaven and above and

below and all. She already cares that what based on

what she here. She didn't scroll an a instagram or

the Israelites a crossed the red You know, she just

that your God is the God.

you know, to the entire place. You know, God walking

through them through miracles. This bunch of people came out.

They can survive forty plus years are how can do that?

One?

And can defeat people one and all? Oh my goodness. Yeah,

their leader died. Moses died. Oh you mean God, another

leader come up. No, it's not just a coincidence. It's

not just about Moses.

You know. There must be a God beside them, you know.

You know what I'm saying.

Not every possibility is eliminated. There's something unique. So there

were a walking testimony, you know. And by the way,

there's a pillow cloud and fire following them, and that

they were carrying it. Ah, and there's a tabernacle in

their meats as one. They were so unique in the.

Eyes of the world, you know what I'm saying?

And what do the world respond?

Some of them were still rebellious, some of them will

never never believe, but some of them do. In the city,

and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death.

quite amazing. She already knew the outcoming. She already knows

why it's gonna happen it now. She didn't trust the walls.

She knew that when God's people are outside, that even

though no one has actually breached the wall ever before,

Jericho has never fallen before one. She knew what was

gonna happen based on what she heard and said by

faith and the moment that two spies came in. She

saw them, she mocked them, and she didn't let them

go anywhere by her house.

Even though she was a prosecute.

The chances of them following her was very low, but

she didn't miss the opportunity. You get me, she really

put her Who will come to a prostitute's house? It's

well known, but it really had to take a lot

of courage for a prostitute to go and come to

my house and we're not gonna require the performance of it.

She asked for a pledge, you know, she asked them

to sweat. She asked for salvation. She said, I'm here

one thing that I need more than anything, salvation for

my family. I want an assurance. I want a guarantee,

and I know that you can give it. She didn't

go to anyone. She asked them.

She will not. It's like you all those people.

I say, I will not leave a knowledge when Jacob

said no to the stranger.

I will not leave until you bless me.

Sometimes, I you know, as believers are, sometimes we don't

cling on to God high enough. You know we said God,

we asked her. But have we ever asked as God?

I will not leave.

Until you give me an assurance. You know that is

not you'll being a damna. That's you are being full

of faith. No, for Yhab was full of faith. And

I will not live until you give me an assurance. Okay,

until you spare. Then you I believe that you are able,

not just to save me, You're able to save me

and whoever in my household, my family, and my father

and their household. So whoever is in my house you're

able to save. So the men answer her our lives

for yours, and none of you tell this business of ours.

And it shall be when the Lord has given us

the land, that will deal kindly and truly you. In

verse fifteen, she is not done yet. Now she made

them promise, but still there must something she must deliver. Then,

it says there then she let them down by a

road through the window, for her house was on the

city wall. She dwelt on the wall, and she said

to them, get to the mountains, let the pursuers meet

you hide there three days until the pursuers have returned,

and afterwards you may go your way. And in verse seventeen.

So the men said to her, we will be blameless

on this of yours, which you have made us swear,

unless when we come into the land, you bind this

line of scarlet cord in the window through which you'll

let us down. And unless you bring your father, your mother,

your brother's, and all your father's household to your own home,

so it shall be there. Whoever goes outside the doors

of your house into the streets, his blood shall be

on his own head, and we will be guiltless. And

whoever is with you in the house, he's now uh

with you in the house. His blood shell be on

our head if a hand is laid on him. And

if you tell this business of ours, then we will

be free from your oath which you made us swear.

Then she said, according to your words, so be, and

she send them away, and they departed, and she bound

the scarlet cord in the window.

She still had.

It turns out that you know, a lot of times

are the houses when they built on the walls. I

don't know for sure, but supposedly are for poor people.

One supposedly for poor people. But even then, whatever she is,

she used whatever resources what she had to hide them

and to provide refuge for them. Now, a few thousand

You know.

But anyway, so a lot of the priests basically uh,

got no job to do, know, really became jobless. So

instead of like remaining at home, you know, waiting, they

decide to do what, Oh if I cannot work for

the temple, I work for the Roman government instill collecting

text for the temple. I collect text for the Roman

people for the Roman government. So when they do it's

still serving, it's still serving God. They became priest for

the world. It's kind of sad that you, instead of

being peace for God, became peace for the world. And

so when people saw them, they were thinking of them.

This people are traitors cost a lot of times when

they collect money, they collect double as well. They said, oh,

we come to collect money, you got extra. Now if

you don't give me, I'm going to tell you that

the government that you didn't pay your text.

Yeah, and that is why.

They also says that who was a chief not just

text like chief text collector means her he got disciples

so called disciples aukunju okay, chief text collector means that

this guy is MLM. This guy, okay, he got insurance,

he got agents, agents and him money, not you know,

they collect and he got the money.

And he says that he was rich.

Now and when the Bible says you are rich and

you are rich, okay, this is not for five hundred

about the story of Rahab. He really bring about the

story I was reading. When I was reading this, I

couldn't help but thinking Jerrycho, Jericho, Jericho, Jericho. I was

thinking about the Holy Spirit. I was thinking about revival

as well, and I realized that the Holy Spirit has

always been at work, always always been. Sometimes we don't

expect the work the way that we think it should be.

Sometimes we expect revival in a certain sense, but actually

the Holy Spirit has been working just that we don't

recognize it. It's only until the very end, when things

are completed. You were like, oh, my goodness, the Holy

Spirit has been working all this while. The Holy Spirit

has been working even before Jesus came to prepare this man.

You know, the Holy Spirit has been working before the

spies went into the city of Jericho and to mid

Ray Happy. No, you know what I'm saying, now the

world has been preached, And I tell you was the

kist I didn't just hear the name of Jesus. What

did he hear? He probably heard so much about what

Jesus has been doing, isn't it You read book Chapter eighteen,

all the healings they had been done. And just before

has Jesus been doing. Jesus has been performing miracles as

for forty years. Jesus is also passing through Jerusalem, passing

that Jesus was coming. Because the Kiss is a kind

his Jericho war was his richest. He was empty. He

But yeah, he like everyone else, he's not the only

tech collector that he got.

Other others are. He like everyone else, has heard about

Jesus as well.

The question is not about how simple you are, because

not Israel. But who will respond and how will they respond?

You know what I'm saying, No, how will they respond?

And that's the Monk of the Holy spirits work reviving

and changing people's hearts. You see, it's a kiss. He's

the whole city, you're not very good spy.

Am I doing this really for the Lord more than

anything else? Or is it really inside me? There is

something about me being self righteous? You know. Along the

way I've seen people. I want to confess. I want

to serve God.

I want to.

Yeat in all these things can hide layer after layer

after layer after layer, a lot of pride. I want

to tell God that I'm worthy of saving. You know

what I'm saying, And I tell you what happened to me?

Or so all of us are not examplee, you think

we're also pure after coming to church so longer we

are all not so pure. We all like to look

at the person that left and the right eye. This

person come to just so wrong?

I did?

I know?

Who? Think you can see through him and her?

Wana.

We like to judge people a lot, but we never

look at ourselves.

You know, we know we never We all like to people.

Oh that's why we wake up. The first thing we

like to see is the news. Ah, well, was the

first thing you wake up?

If you just take away your phone now, if you

want to faster, take away your phone and you just

focus on between yourself and God, you will realize that

you stop complaining about people, true or not. You will

realize how dirty and how filthy and unrighteous, how self

this is, how deceiving you are to God and to

yourself and then really to your people around you as well.

You will realize how wretched you are. You know, you

important thing, don't care about. So it's the key is

tell people how righteous I am.

I don't need.

just need one thing when you come when judgment comes

on this city. I want everyone in my house safe,

Not the only thing that you and I should care

is that when judgment comes, when the dare comes, that

the blood of Jesus saves us. I don't care about

Bible says that you not be certain and work out

your salvation. You know you don't work for your salvation,

run the race, work out your salvation. Clearly, did you

know that you are truly safe? Just you don't just say,

you say, but you know that you are really safe?

You know what I'm saying.

Now, That's what matters at the end of the day, everybody. Okay,

is the revival.

No, no, no, it's not yet. It's not yet.

It's like you're bringing you someone sicker to the hospital.

Is the person revived ready?

Ooh? Used to need to this is isn't it?

The persons you need to respond truer, respond to the

treatment and all bringing there. No, it doesn't mean anything,

you know. Sometimes you bring it you're worries some more,

you know, but of course you bring into the hospital.

It's a good thing to really like oky, but it's

not complete yet. There must be a response. So what

did the kids do it? So he made hayes and

came down and receiving joyfully. But when they saw it,

they're all complaints, saying he has gone to be with

guest with a man who is a sinner. When you

She risks her life because there's one thing. Only she wanted,

not mone near. She wanted salvation for her household, salvation

for her. I'm covering for you and I need your

covering for me. She's making this one commotional trait with God, said,

I'm covering for you and I need it. So when

she made it, she made it in the sincerity of heart.

We've gotten Now my conscience is clear. I'm making this

for you, the Lord.

You know what I mean.

Okay, that's how I see it, Like, okay, you want

to come up something else is think Okay. So he

made it, says there. But when they saw it, they

all complaint, saying that he is going to be with

a guest, with a man who is a sinner. Then

the kids stood and said to the Lord, Lord, Lord,

I give half of my goods to the poor, and

if I've taken anything from anyone by false accusation, I

restore four fold. So why is revival? Revival is not

just this power, but it's the whole complete thing. Revival starts,

but it's not complete unless until there is a transformation.

There must be a transformation. I'm not saying that this

is the only thing. I'm not saying Revival began but

I don't like people like revival. But revival is not

complete until there is a transformation. So I believe that

there are many revivals happening, but a lot of revivals

are half baked. She got me right, Like many of us,

I started with a New year resolution.

How many of you that drop off? Ready?

You know what there? So resolution remains a resolution. He

remains a resolution. Yeah, I realized, I'm really resolved. I'm

guilty you so okay, I'm ready guilt to yourself, you know.

So it remains racially unless there is a transformation. And

so what what is what is when Jesus asked to

go into excuse, what is he really looking for? What

is Jesus wanting to see not just a man inviting,

but a man transformed? And so what is the mark

of that is what? It's repentance. So he's really repentant,

you know, despite what he went through, what he did

and got all his riches, you know. Okay, he said

that Lord, if I've seen against him, I will use

my war all all the things, and I will return

them four for whatever that God has given me, what

I built, and then this war will be used to

provide covering to provide compensation so that the Lord, so

that the world will know that God has done a

great thing in me. What the rehab do? She was

at the war and she said, what did she do

with a war? She could nothing much. She did one

thing she could. She lowered them and let them escape.

That the one thing she could do, she lowered and

letting escape.

It's amazing.

It's kind of funny us that things are resources, that

the things that we have, because different scales are but

the same concept be go men, right. So the key

thing is that when we are experiencing revival, one of

the things that you will encounter is that it's not

just a feeling, but what is God convicting me to do?

And some of you you have so much resources, and

some of you you have so called wars of Jericho

or wealth in the world. God is saying you cannot

just leave it there. Maybe there are people in your

life that you need to lower down, some people in

your life that you need to forgive, compensate, reconcile until

you can be revived. But if you do not reconcile

with the people you need to reconcile, your revival.

Is just words.

You're like, yeah, I love God, but yeah, you know, come,

I don't see anybody to Maybe you have not reconcilt

with your parents, you know. Sometimes there's the touchy part,

isn't it? Sometimes I don't. Your parents are the toughest

people that you know. Our children are the toughest people

that we can connect with one.

It's true, isn't it.

It's touchier because you know them so well and they

know you so well as well. So hard, it's so

so hard, it's so difficult and so challenging. I have

my own story, you know, I really tell you I

got but you know, time.

Or share it as well. But but it's true.

Sometimes maybe if you offended someone, or you someone offended

you and you.

Didn't really forgive.

God is asking that, if salvation has come into your household,

what is too.

Expensive to give away?

You know? I mean right, because you tied this thing,

But what is still why it is.

Still too expensive for you to give away? You mean? Right?

Let it go? You mean right?

No, do right by God and do right by the

people around you, right now.

That's the mark of revival people.

It's not just a church singing halle lujah, but it's

when the generation begins to do right by God and

do right by the people. You know, I'm saying you all,

that's the mark of revival. That's the mark that actually

transformed the world. You know, you think just the world,

just the news reporting church brain. I mean, yes, it's powerful,

but how does it affect me? But when I see

a man, my son, my friend, my uncle, whatever, turn around,

ask for forgiveness, reconcile with me, I'm at touched. You

get what I mean, right, I'm affected. I'm directly in the

impact radius of this revival. You know, give this revival

is exploding and I'm impacted by it. So we need

a revival that actually impacts people, not just come by

your inside there. You know that's really the mark. So

what did you need to do? A lot of times

you look at it? Who have I not reconcile? Have

I withhold anything right? Sometimes even your spouse, your children,

to the neighbors around me? A lot of times it

could be simple a revival instead of changing the way

you talk about people talking about all this while, have

you been so negative or have you been generous to

give the same lips that tear down people? Have you

been building up people?

I really believe.

I hope we won't see a generation of revover that

we always biting people and you know, really cutting people

like you know how many times we've been so more encouraging.

We are wise, we are not ignorant, but we are

also kind and building with people as well. You know

what I'm saying. No, it's very easier to come out

to past the past the matter. I think you preach

too long. Oh, by the way, I just I know,

I still want to bless you. You know, we call

this andy one Christians. You know, you get me right.

They come to you and they give you a hush criticism,

but God bless you, you know. They because the hit

and round Christians. You know, we got so many or

here around Christians want to know so many you hit readio,

you leave the scene, say, oh, I want to criticize,

But are you going to No? No, No, I'm too busy.

You know. Yeah, were around Christians, you know, But it's true.

It happens in the family as well. You're change your dinner.

Why you choose this restaurant?

Now? Oh are you paying for it? Or no? I'm

not paying for it? Oh, I hit it enough. But

it's true. Isn't it.

But there will be one uncle, one brother, one auntie

who will pay for everything, who just keep quiet by.

They'll pay every year they do, you know, true or not,

They just remain silent the warrior. They just bear everything

year after year with the bear. They endure, the endure anddure.

They're not because for you, because they know it's the

right thing. They do it because it's the right thing.

Nothing else Him and I. You may tear it down

the moment you could, but they still do the writing

because they endure something.

And I'm saying a true revival will also see true endurance.

You see it. But if you read the book of

You suffer because Christ suffers. And when you suffer as

Christ suffered, you partake in its glory. Christ suffered so much,

you know, And so don't despise the suffering that you

go through when you have to endure.

Sometimes people don't see what you go through.

Sometimes you do it for your family, for your children,

and you don't people don't see it. But you are

enduring as Christ and yours. So don't despise as the

world despise. You see what I'm saying no, so I

really did believe that these are the masks of revival,

the Holy Spirit working within you, making you pure, filtered,

and pleasing to the lawd Amen.
