You're listening to a message to go from Acts Church.
-
We hope this message will light up your day.
-
We are on the team of Reviver and want to
-
speak about half time. I won't say halftime. We are
-
in the mid We are in the month of June.
-
June is six months of the whole calendar year, and
-
it's a really good time for to take stock, really
-
to just ask yourself, are we going in the right
-
direction to your neighbor right now? And just as are
-
you going in the right direction? Oh, because I do
-
find that if we don't ask ourselves those questions right,
-
we can be the word they said, we can be
-
on the journey. On the journey, but yet I'll say,
-
get there to a place whereby you just ask yourself,
-
like how did I get here?
-
How that arrive here? I didn't sign up for this.
-
And sometimes we could be also on the wrong path,
-
on the wrong track. And this morning the lad wants
-
to remind us to get back to the right path.
-
Right now, as you look back from January to June,
-
we should just the word is that? Just ponder? I
-
just think, true, Wow, our highlights for this year? You
-
think for a moment, what has been our highlights. What
-
is the thing that pop up to you, like you
-
talk about the whole year, like from January to June, right,
-
and you are just just think about, like, yeah, what
-
what what can I celebrate this year six for the
-
first six months. It could be you know, like you
-
painted your room finally amen, hallelujah. Right, it could be
-
finally you wake up under your bait after well yeah, no,
-
it could be you know you work, you under your
-
bid after like years of procrastinating or doing that to
-
look and what's what's below your bait. I just wanted
-
to think, really, what can we give thanks for the
-
whole for for the past six months, because if if
-
you're not careful, we can just allow what God has
-
meant for celebration to go down and just be one
-
of those events that happens in your life. I remember
-
that you know that this year, man should go go
-
back to Clanton after many years, I went to Clanton
-
at the age of twelve, and UH had the privilege
-
stepped driving up to Clanton with the team and if
-
we ever from Clanton.
-
The love bless you. But we drove. We drove for
-
almost like close to twelve hours. I left.
-
Yeah, close to travel because I left Charlah and five
-
forty five got to go and with some at one pm.
-
The car broke down at one thirty stuck there for
-
two hours class to three. It's carrying because I want
-
to let you know that if you ever do plan
-
to drive to Clanton, please make sure your vikers it's
-
new and stuff like.
-
So hours was about thirteen years old by FAF. We
-
drove up.
-
I thought everything was all right, but you know, lo
-
and behold one part broke. And you know when when
-
things break down halfway, it's it's it's it's not a
-
bad thing, all right. It's not like you know your
-
life is cursed or your life is bad. But things
-
does happen. I let you know, the Bible says it
-
real on the righteous and unrighteous, right, so therefore meaning
-
to say that things will happen in your life. So
-
we shouldn't reflect and just say, oh woe, it's me
-
and my seeing and stuff like that. And uh and
-
and and I think when things happened, it does bring
-
you down. So the low points, it does bring you down.
-
When things happen, it does bring you down. The thing
-
is not for us to stay down for not for
-
us to like pity me and stuff like that. Ah,
-
I was feeling really down because like, oh man, I
-
thought I checked out. I check everything, but you know
-
you can't really check everything right. So anyway past just
-
we have to just tell the team a reminder and
-
say that God did not bring us all the way here.
-
We are about like maybe about half an hour to Kotabaru.
-
God did not bring.
-
Us all the way here for this mission to fail.
-
So then I words, God did not bring you all
-
the way until whatever it is you're at right now
-
for your life to fail. God You're not bring you
-
all the way to this hotel here for extra to fail.
-
So it is not about that failure or not about
-
that that the thing that sort did not work in
-
your life.
-
It's fun for us to stay there, right.
-
So the next thing we should ask that when you
-
saw a giant in your life, for example this year, right,
-
did you walk towards it or did you walk away
-
from it? Now, I won't quantify the word giant here.
-
Many times we think the word giant is huge, it's big,
-
it's just stuff like that, But it could be irritant
-
in your life, as small as a cockroach. That sometimes
-
we run away from instead of tackling the cockroach in
-
our life.
-
Right, It's one of.
-
Those things that we we look at it and go
-
like something you have to go through, something.
-
You have to overcome. But yet at the.
-
Same time, if you look towards it, you go like,
-
I'm so too tired. I'm too tired to tackle this again.
-
I'm too The word is that one out And if
-
you're not careful again that if you keep taking the stands,
-
if you keep taking.
-
The approach of like giant, I forget it.
-
I'll just detour like okay, I ditoy so many things
-
in my life read it myself, just tour to another path.
-
Another directions.
-
Okay, the Lord maybe not wanders to go to the
-
path because there are there are days in your life.
-
Want to let you know, there are days in your
-
life where by some music, instead of.
-
Bringing you strength, you will drain you.
-
Even before you start taking up the giant, drain you
-
really you or something.
-
You can imagine the conversation you're.
-
Going to have, right, you can imagine like by the
-
time you finished having this conversation with your boss, your management,
-
you just feel like one to go for another holiday, Right,
-
and I want to encourage you this morning, really that
-
we can draw lets from the parle of the ten Virgins.
-
We can really draw lessons from them. All right, So Matthew,
-
Chapter twenty five, I'm apologize again. I speak really fast
-
because I got about thirty slids in fifteen minutes.
-
I can't.
-
Okay, Methew, Chapter twenty five, Okay, verse one, I'm really
-
from the amplified version, all right. Then the Kingdom of
-
Heaven will be like the ten virgins who took their
-
lambs and when to meet the Bright Groom. Verse one
-
reminds us that life is about traveling and going on
-
a journey. Life is about going on to this power
-
where God wants us to go right, and the Lord
-
doesn't want us to go to a journey empty handed.
-
You know, sometimes when we go choosen. For example, you
-
wake up every day, you wake up every day, you
-
wake up every day. Right, I'm not sure how many
-
of us are prepared to go to work. And I
-
say prepared to go to worl I'm not talking about
-
getting dressed and just stuff that. Mentally, you seek the Lord,
-
ask God for wisdom, because if you're not careful, we
-
can just go admit the bright good without the lamb.
-
I want to let you know God has prepared the
-
lamp in your life for us to take it out
-
for this journey.
-
But I over show how many of us really that you?
-
When you wake up a huyo, I'm lily, Really, what
-
happens you rush out to the door?
-
Right? Have you ever made a U turn before in
-
your life? Half way?
-
I left my hand from behind all right, I left
-
my wallet behind right, I left.
-
I don't know love, I love my socks behind right.
-
Things does happen in first We do leave things better,
-
but that's because somebody.
-
We rush to things.
-
And many times I realize that when we rush you,
-
for example, especially when we finish work, finish work right,
-
five thirty maybe got another appointment? You know that you
-
have to live. It's a certain time to award the
-
jam right, and you rush to like you peck up
-
your stuff. You rush tough the dog, go to your
-
car and zoom off all in this car. That you've
-
got to take something in your house. Key happened to
-
me before, and I realized I tried to put the
-
practice up before I exit a room. Before I exit
-
a room, I need to need to just look at
-
it one more time slowly before you exit and go
-
on the journey.
-
We need to ask her did I bring everything?
-
So I have a privilege of taking Past to the
-
airport most of the time, and every time passes favel Oasis.
-
When passing center gets to the car, before I start driving,
-
you'll ask Past a question did you bring your passport?
-
Because you can forget everything.
-
You can forget your clothes, you can buy some over there, right,
-
you can forget everything, but you cannot forget a passport
-
because without the passport you cannot get onto the plate.
-
And sometimes in our life we think that it's okay,
-
maybe I make friends with Come on, if I make friends.
-
With the immigration officer Casie Chancellor. We haven't.
-
We have been there before, because we think that it's
-
okay to go on the journey to meet the bragger
-
without the lamb. As Christians, sometimes we operate on this level.
-
We think that it's all right to go on the journey.
-
It's okayller as so as I maintain my faith and
-
maintain my faith. And so I just kept coming to
-
church every Sunday. My faith is all right, and so
-
I just kept doing my religious I say religious, We
-
say that the reputation just coming to church giving an offering.
-
It is okay, God, what's going deeper?
-
Friends?
-
He wants us, he wants us to bring the lamb.
-
You know when you bring something for a trip, right.
-
Number one, everything you bring is away. Everything is a way.
-
It's a way. Even your handbag. It's like it is
-
a way because after a while, friends, he will asked,
-
I want to carry for you.
-
It is a way. Number two.
-
When you go on the trip, whatever you carry, Freds,
-
you'll find that there are things that you carry you
-
never use on you will never use. I'm not sure why.
-
So I went for a mission trip to but Cassie
-
one month ago, one man ago. I like to pack
-
like Freds, really like all the clothing. That's all you need,
-
all right, not the extra everything is used. Then you
-
feel check one hundred percent points all right? Not show
-
why that Sunday or rather that trip. I've decided to
-
bring extra pens. I've never want one pence, guys, come on, right,
-
been a mission treat one pence that's all you need.
-
That's all you need because what could happen? Carrie stage,
-
you can still wash it right and stuff like that.
-
I tell what happened. I got to the airport. I
-
got to the airport. I went so many mission treats
-
for the past twenty four years in church, so many
-
mission trips. Nothing happened before except last Bakassi trip. My
-
zip broke. Huh, it's never happened before. Friends, I just
-
talk to myself, well, thank you Jesus for asking me
-
to peck the extra pants.
-
You see, we can go to life.
-
Go to life thinking that it's okay because I've been
-
there before and therefore I don't need to or maybe
-
I've done that before, I've done mission trip before.
-
I nothing will happen one.
-
It's different if the zip broke when you're in Indonesia
-
because you can always buy another pants. It's very different
-
before you fly the zip bro because you can you
-
can't hide you stand up. People will be like, uncle,
-
your zip down there, right. You go to your You're trying,
-
you know what things happen. You try to cow up
-
and you want like you don't know, you just very
-
slowly because you're trying to come up. So the ten
-
virgins friends the time were just brought the lamb now
-
verse two.
-
Five of them were foolish.
-
How we think about foolish go like, oh, maybe they're
-
a bit there, but the Bible here said toddlers silly
-
and careless.
-
Maybe they were told but they didn't pay attention.
-
It's it's a generation thing, friends, every generation hire You
-
didn't tell me that I didn't do a low.
-
It's every generation grow up people like that one.
-
If you told me I've done it, if you've told
-
me you have done it, Yes, it's true. Something need
-
to be told, but not everything. Can we tell told?
-
Not everything that you know. It's it's house. I've met
-
people before, like elder, you didn't tell me, So now
-
do I say true? Maybe if I didn't tell you,
-
but I also want to see. The other thing was
-
as well, pretty much counsel. We did tell you how
-
to do it. You can still do it because I'm
-
let direct. Because if we were the plat consistency, pat consistent,
-
everything right?
-
What is sin? But you still sin?
-
Think about it for a moment because sometimes the protection mechanism.
-
Oh you didn't tell much, so I didn't be extra
-
all right?
-
So the five were there were foolish, and five was
-
why the wise had fast, sighted, practical and sensible meaning
-
they actually talk about the trip, they actually taught about
-
the trip. So sometimes in your daily life, have you
-
ever actually paid attention to what are you going to
-
do on the daily basis? What are you going to
-
do on a daily basis? My wife recently went for
-
medical checkup. Everything everything was okay, healthy and good. Accept
-
ah accept her liver or slightly fatiuty. Not because she
-
indulges herself with food. It's just because she just once
-
in all snack too much, peanuts, cheese and stuff like that.
-
It happens to our friends, the best of us, right,
-
So she said that I think I'm she's determined, determined
-
to get herself back to health. Determined to get herself
-
back to health, so she ran on the program right
-
when on the program not supposed to eat for certain hours,
-
only in for certain hours.
-
Two meals a day.
-
The meal is as size as the power of her
-
face a hand. That's it, right for at least forty
-
five days now, she said, in the journey of doing this,
-
In the journey of doing this, she discovered that it's
-
not about the program really alone. But we don't really
-
pay attention to what we eat. We don't we think
-
that just because something is labor organic and that's all
-
is good, just like life as well. You go to
-
on the journey, friends, we don't really pay attention. We
-
rush through the day. Rush you get to work. When
-
you get to work, the first thing we think about
-
is lunchtime. Where to eat right, because it's tough. Right
-
after lunch, friends, you come back, you're trying your body,
-
trying to overcome the cups in your stomach because between
-
that after lunch and one hour after lunch you fall asleep.
-
But here the Bible says the five wives were practical
-
fast that they knew there was on a day they
-
were going on the journey. Friends, Therefore they had to
-
make preparation. If you knew in a day what you
-
need to do, don't you think that you need to
-
ask God for wisdom? Because many times even't the best
-
of Christian friends, we don't the word is that do
-
our quiet time enough to ask God for wisdom? If
-
you're honest with our heart, friends, we think that we
-
can manage. God has never asked for management, friends, He
-
asked us to renew our mind.
-
It goes on worse three.
-
For when the follish took their labs, they did not
-
take extra oil with them. Come on, the foolish took
-
their labs. Wow, you rush to your right. It's always
-
they had the capacity, you know. Think about it. They
-
have the capacity to bring extra oil, but they didn't.
-
There's a lot of Christian they have got capacity to.
-
Do things, but they did not.
-
Really, I want to let you know, friends, God has
-
white everyone, you and me friends, for extra capacity, one
-
extra capacity. But sometimes because our shortsightedness, sometimes because our
-
silliness and carelessness, we forget or we opt not to
-
thinking that it is all right to go on the
-
journey without the lamb. Worse for but the wise the
-
wires took the flowers of oil along with them, and
-
then we could read on. Now, the bright group was delayed, delayed, delayed.
-
First in life, you get delayed, and they all begin
-
to knock out and fall asleep. But at midnight there
-
was a shout, Look, the bright Group is coming. Go
-
and meet him. Then all the wigs got up, put
-
their lambs in order, trim the wicks and add oil
-
at oil and lit them. Was it the foolish regions
-
say to the wise, give us some of your oil,
-
because our lambs are going out, the wedding feast and
-
the doors. Sorry, it was great. I'm sorry. I think
-
I can't pay wrongly there, give us some oil because
-
our lamb was going out.
-
I'm gonna pause you.
-
I'm going to go with my first point reflection or meditation,
-
you know, wors. It really reminds us of this, that
-
we can go to our entire life thinking that it's
-
all right, it's okay, it's all right, it's okay. Because
-
you're Christian, Ma, you're supposed to help me. Ma, you're
-
supposed to understand my predicament, my situation. Friends, when he
-
reads it really paused. Yes, it was a full day.
-
We had a we had a leader's meeting followed by
-
a shepherd's meeting. I got an evening birthday celebration without
-
the homies. But we went back to office, friends, just
-
to unload the staff, all of these cour friends. Our
-
office got flooded. It's not all the small. The pipe
-
is a four inch pipe. Water gosh down from level five.
-
Part of the school got wet flooded to level four office.
-
I called my table go because my table was pat
-
because I handed the accounts. My table was pat. Thank god,
-
my documents was there. My other Collique, who handed the
-
other accounts the fowers of the floor was wet. So
-
I told her that I think you have to repent.
-
Okay with her, I think you have to repair. Maybe
-
something's not right in your life, skinny skiddy. But we're
-
cleaning up. We removed all the tables. Friends, from what
-
supposed to be half an hour to unload became another
-
four hours of cleaning, vacuuming or wiping the table down, cowering,
-
and the entire office of plastic. So, friends, I want
-
to bring it to the first point. We have to
-
reflect or meditate because the wise brought extra oil, the
-
foolish didn't. Life is the journey and not destination. I
-
want to say this again, if it's the journey and
-
not destination. Because if it's a destination, Friends, we want
-
to rush to all the packing. Think about it for Momona.
-
If it's really the destination, you rush to your mornings.
-
I hate rushing too mornings because I felt that I
-
cannot leave the house unprepared. I cannot leave the house
-
unprepared when we come to church. I'm not sure how
-
much preparation we have before coming to church, or we
-
just turn on our faith or sign the prais law,
-
so you turn on the praise or a sudden or
-
did we start praising from the house to here? Because
-
this Sunday is a practice for Monday. Because if you
-
can do that for Sunday, friends, could you imagine what
-
could you do from Monday to Friday?
-
Right?
-
If life is a journey, friends, how have we been
-
walking through the destination? We all say life is the
-
journey of your understanding, but how have we been walking?
-
Very important for you and me to understand this because
-
in life, friends, sometimes pipe will break in your house. Yesterday,
-
one of our leaders, she was about to leave the house. Uh,
-
water hit, the plot got burned.
-
Burn. She got that.
-
She got a family member in the house. But she
-
text us, They say that I can't live my family
-
member alone. She not able to handle the contractor. I
-
could imagine the whole scenario. Last week I was at
-
Exepok church, cam down there, driving down to Jeho Barru.
-
I got a text for my brother say that had
-
a fall.
-
My dad fell down, cracked three reaps, three reaps got cracked. Crack,
-
thank god also broken just crack. Then texted me could
-
you could you come back I thought to myself, Oh,
-
easy for you to say her. You migrated to Singapore
-
the work I see, youngest sister migrated the proof to
-
work and whoever ever in Malaysia have to take care.
-
Of that, said my one. The only time to travel
-
that you asked me to make a youthurn. You know
-
at that moment in time, that was going through my mind.
-
Friends, because if life is journally, how have you been walking?
-
We can become very bitter friends. Why is it always
-
me just because you choose to stay and work in
-
Malaysia and your other sibling my great oases and what
-
over seys.
-
For our friends? Right?
-
And you have to take care of your aging parents.
-
We become very bitter. Every time got problem, you have
-
to make a you turn, can see your plans and
-
I pray about it. Friends, I pray about it. I
-
talked the past, I pray about it. I had to
-
call my brother asked how is that okay? When to
-
the hospital?
-
Right?
-
Right now?
-
I see you just checking everything that I thought in
-
the hospital is the best place right?
-
Number one? Number two? Is that that?
-
What can I contribute when I come back? Because even
-
if I make a youth turn, even if I make
-
a you to what can I contribute when I come back.
-
It's not like I'm a doctor. I go straight that
-
I see you fix him up and take it back
-
home a lot. I thank god I didn't say the
-
medical profession. So anyway, I thought about all this and
-
stuff that I told my brother this, when you're hitting
-
back to Singapore, he told me when Monday I said,
-
I'll be back on Tuesday.
-
There should be no problem.
-
I say, let that say in the hospital as long
-
as he needed, then I'll come back in this stuff
-
that he got this charge on Monday and I came
-
out on Tuesday.
-
See Fred's if.
-
Life is journey house, be walking because we can go
-
to live threads and carry all the bitterness, disappointment, anger
-
unknowingly friends, because if we knew that it was bad,
-
you won't take it up. I want you to understand this.
-
If we knew that it was bad, you won't take
-
it up. If we knew it was trash. Come on,
-
you won't carry back to Malaysia when you go to
-
Japan because when you go Jeope, there's.
-
No Babi's been right. So what you do?
-
You keep your trash in your back and you reash
-
back to your hotel. We can trade there. But how
-
we always actually take trash back from oz street one?
-
We don't.
-
But the problem here is is that sometimes in life, friends, disappointment,
-
hurt anger comes in a very nice packaging, and that's
-
why we keep them. But we'll never actually a pay
-
attention to what we take on our journey, what we
-
take on our life, because those things that we keep
-
friends will influence how we see things around us. So
-
what was the requirement that was needed to be with
-
the bright room?
-
Lamb and oil?
-
Come on, not just oil, friends, lamb oil and extra oil.
-
The problem here is these friends, a lot of us
-
are carrying lemon oil by no extra. And that's sometimes
-
the challenge is this that we need the extra in
-
our life.
-
Come on, we need the extra in our life.
-
To really overcome the tightness. You need the extra in
-
your life? Friends, what's the extra? Friends, passion? What's the
-
extra in your life?
-
Reds? Maybe sleep?
-
I used to operate on the four hour sleep cycle.
-
Four hour sleep cycle. My mom was a staff nurse.
-
She worked on she worked on sheaf. So I caught
-
this heaby from her. I saw her coming back from
-
work at seven am in the morning for night sheaf.
-
She sleeps until eleventh plus breaks up a cook for
-
the family and after that, somethimes go back to work
-
because something that's back to back sheaf and stuff like that.
-
So I caught this heabit from my.
-
Mom and because of that, I grew up the time
-
went to work. I don't know why, maybe because everybody
-
was doing it. Decided to work and study at the
-
same time. Not the wisest thing to do, friends, because
-
I just do my MBA without way for classes, I
-
are quite easier by first and this sales speech. But
-
this is the sales speech every everyone in education life.
-
It's very easy one. It's very easy one. It's a
-
repeat of your third year in your degree. Costs do
-
your MBA is very easy one. So with the sales
-
speech I brought into the sales speech. I studied that
-
I took. I took up the day and some subjects
-
I have to meet. It was very easy to pass.
-
I was am I was aiming to pass with me.
-
But there's some subjects I feel three times. So I
-
was studying and working at the same time. I thought
-
to myself halfway through the journey, asking myself, like why
-
on earth, the eye sign up for this? Why the
-
eye sign up to torture myself this way? Because it's
-
not about the lamb or the oil. Friends, it's about
-
the extra. Because though five foolish brought lemon or they did,
-
they beat the requirement. But it's the extra, the tough
-
fullness that's required. So in life friends, In life friends
-
you have disappointment, You will have disappointment, discouragement, everything.
-
On friends, you will have that. The challenge is not
-
about how to award all this you can't.
-
In life you will face discouragement, You face disappointment, You.
-
Face grieving as well. I lost my mom three years ago.
-
And sometimes I do think about her and stuff like
-
you do face moments like that. But in those moments
-
when it's not supposed to the word is bring you
-
to a place whereby the how do I get here?
-
It's those moments you say, God, thank you so much
-
for even allowing me to have time. So what is it,
-
friends in your life that you have been bringing in
-
your journey? If the fire fully shoes were slow were
-
to slow down assetself, why did the others being extra?
-
Perhaps you'll be prepare for the extra. It's not like this.
-
No, it's not like the five yes decide to go
-
on one car the five foolish said, go another car.
-
I guess they went on the same carrier went together.
-
The question here is is that how did they last
-
a long haul? And how why are they bringing extra?
-
Because sometimes in life you look at other people that
-
how do you overcome that disappointment? How do you overcome
-
the anger issue? How do you overcome that path? Because
-
sometimes we see but we don't ask. I guess the
-
five foolition saw the extra. It's not friends, I want
-
to let you know. The extra was those small little
-
like like a sample perfume that they give up at
-
the Counterwe you know.
-
They get put in your pocket. I don't think so
-
that it would last loer.
-
I guess it has to be a jot at least
-
or something like that, right or two? So if we do,
-
if they actually did slow down and ask themselves a question, yeah,
-
what do you be extra, maybe they could have understand
-
the situation. Because our heart and our mind run faster
-
the biblical process on. Maybe you look at the church,
-
for example, you look at the church. Oh yo, you
-
you come to extras to go maybe like so small,
-
but I presented some numbers of the leaders yesterday and
-
every attendance, every shit.
-
I wish attendance for our church in HM thank Medley.
-
Right, it's about thousand, thousand, one hundred or added up.
-
We saw about twelve salvation and twenty four reddication from
-
January to June. So if we want to slow down
-
and go that, Hey, the reason why we're doing this.
-
We want to make sure that everyone gets involved in church,
-
involved in the life of the church, involved in serving
-
the Lord. The bigger the church is something that we
-
can hide and we be so so many people when
-
we are only one service. People were weren't serving the Lord,
-
just coming because good people fitfully serving one friends, and
-
we don't be a church whereby the next thirty years
-
the same people serving so passa can have really caught
-
from the lassa. You grow small so that everyone has
-
opportunity to serve. Right, So we brook it down with
-
the leaders threads. We went straight to homes, some homes
-
that were submit the homes reposses last year. I want
-
you to know that some homes does submit the homes
-
reposses last year. See, when you grow small friends, you're
-
able to zoom in and there's one home belongs to
-
extra us. There was submit the homes reposses last year.
-
The person is laughing in front of Hey, he's the
-
home leader. That's why. See first, if you were to
-
slow down and said so, we have to tell the
-
leaders we are not here to embarrass anyone. Maybe you
-
have submitted, so please go easy on the leaders. Please
-
go easy on the leaders. Okay, please don't scream and
-
shout at there. Why you're so lazy and we could
-
serve it. Please, going by the way of encourage us,
-
I say, yeah, I think you submitted, and maybe the
-
email you look Sometimes email go wrong with a first,
-
but I have to see it. Maybe you submitted your
-
report and they didn't get to us, so it's our thought.
-
Don't worry about it. Can you submit right now?
-
All right?
-
If we were to slow down, friends, we remember the
-
birthdays he would have slowed down. We remember to say
-
thank you if we would just slow down or a bit.
-
We remember to take our car keys or house keys
-
from the office. In life because the pressure, because of
-
the pressure, maybe not just pressure, friends, I'm not saying
-
pressure is bad. I'm just saying that life itself, how
-
we see things how we couldn't let certain things go
-
causes you to push you forward immediately to exit a room,
-
to go to another room. If only the five fully
-
showed to ask himself when they talk to the five
-
wise one, Yeah, why do you being an extra oi?
-
But why do you see you serve so many years
-
you could up the easy way out?
-
Why if you take some time to ask, maybe you
-
can find an answer. So it's not about asking the
-
world friends, I want to say again, it's not about
-
asking because the warld friends every and the word this
-
is that everyone gets hooked up with an either we
-
have one, they miss people all can't. People are very
-
successful out there. It's not wrong, but it's not the right.
-
It's not totally right as well. Right, So it's not
-
about asking the world or the surroundings to slow down.
-
Come on, sometimes we asked we want thing to slow,
-
We want everything around us to sol out. First the
-
world is slowing down. Things around won't slow that one?
-
You can't tell your boss, can you so for me
-
to catch up? Most probably ask you to leave. I
-
know of a person who actually told the boss this, boss,
-
thank you so much for hiring me. But the job
-
that you give to me is a lot. Can you
-
hire extra stuff for me? You know, can you hire
-
extra stuff for me to accomplish what you hire me
-
to do in the first place. This is after two
-
months in the job. I'm not sure how many of
-
us really can tell our bosses there because it don't
-
you know, there's a one way ticket, friends for whole
-
storage to show that you're not really competent or understanding
-
how the office works. But so about asking the world
-
around us to slow down. It's all asking this around
-
about but it's it's about us taking time to be
-
still with the Lord. Joshua one was insists, I'm going
-
to close with these words. This mode of low shall
-
not depart from your mouth, but you shall read meditate
-
on it. Come on, read, meditate on it, day and night.
-
The problem here is that we found out that some leaders,
-
some people survive on one scripture a.
-
Day on the Bible app. That's my Bible reading plan.
-
Come on, one scripture a day, that's my Bible reading plan.
-
Now, if that's you you first, I do not know
-
who you are.
-
My last time is for extras was about four months
-
ago or something like that.
-
While you're still in the BA Black come.
-
Site, right, so I not know who you are by friends,
-
do not do not, do not just survive or on
-
scripture to day, because that ain't gonna help a lot.
-
How about you're supposed to meditate on the day and night.
-
So if Joshua in the Book of Joshah, God reminds you,
-
this book shall not be put from you. Therefore, the
-
most important thing when you start the day is should
-
they be the book? We prepare our breakfast very well
-
one friends, all night oats takes all the dedication.
-
Praise the Lord, hallelujah. Right, we prepare breakfast great to most.
-
We prepare meal prep meal prep right, you mall prep
-
for one or one whole month. We prepare everything except
-
for our spiritual life. So by what here says that
-
this book of the Lord shall not depart from your mouth?
-
We missed to say. Friends, have you ever tried reading word? Allowed?
-
Think about it for a moment.
-
Now, really, God's well, it's different from just reading the
-
book the silent Leo and friends. But you're really there
-
and night, so that you may be careful to do
-
everything in the gardens with all this written for, then
-
you make your way prosperous and then you'll be successful.
-
This how I'm going to close and just want to
-
just courage you off first to meditate, before you could
-
even meditate. First you need to slow down. Before you meditate.
-
You need to slow down because in life, like I
-
say again, it pushes you on friends. After these friends,
-
you'll be pushed to make a decision where to eat,
-
and that's one of the life toughest decision.
-
Where to eat.
-
Tomorrow you'll be pushing making a lot of decision before
-
before friends, you get push you need to slow down
-
and meditate.
-
God, what you're saying to me? God, what are you
-
speaking to me?
-
I've learned for Passic Is this that before you go
-
into meetings, ask God for wisdom, not just the minute
-
before the meeting. Pass cannot give me an insight. Sometime
-
before a big meeting, he thinks about two weeks to
-
pray and say, God, give me wisdom, tell me speak
-
to me journey like, Lord, what do you want.
-
Me to say?
-
Because sometimes we rush to even sometimes our prayers. Is God,
-
I'm going for my next meeting right now, give me wisdom.
-
Thank you Lord, Jesus name Amen, right, thank God.
-
Listen. There's one prayer, but could you imagine you actually prepared?
-
So I got these gleams, really these gleams.
-
From some other people, axing up Aul, our camp command
-
and Vivian. Vivian prepared for the camp one year and
-
at once fast of all close to a year before
-
the camp. The camp committee for its is thirty people.
-
The church is seventy plus people, so fifty percent sign up.
-
A ready for kem think about it? She fast, She prayed.
-
She just say, God, revive us, God speak to us.
-
Use every session. It's not about just before the next.
-
There's power in it because sometimes now something is not
-
planning on, but some many things I plan.
-
Pray.
-
You have to slow down, friends, because it's halftime right now.
-
Come on, you have to slow and say God, is
-
this something I need to let go? Because it can't
-
be friends, I'm gonna say that it can be every
-
time every time I think about the person, anger comes
-
in the first. The first feeling is anger. The first
-
feeling is disappointment, the first feeling that I don't.
-
Talk to you. I do want to what you.
-
It can't be dead friends, it can't be you come
-
to a place whereby everything else is rushing and pushing
-
you you're just going with the flow.
-
How is your quiet time?
-
Because quiet time is the time when you slow down
-
nothing else really matters. So it's so important, friends, It's
-
really so important to slow down. God, what is it
-
that you want me to do? What is it that
-
you want me to hear? Because here I am Lord,
-
I'm listening. This book of the law shall not depart
-
from your mouth. But you'll meditate on the day and night.
-
I'm not asking us to resign from our job, to
-
go to obsircular place to just get stoked in by
-
masking us. Really to slow down, to meditate, to pause
-
for a moment if you read something. I'm not sure
-
where they have time. I just don't kill I'll just
-
tell example. I'm going to be late for a while,
-
but turn with me right now, just quickly. The sum
-
step the tree, just that I just want to show
-
you something, Okay, I'm reading for the amplifying Uh, some
-
chep the tree? Who was stept the three worse two?
-
Many are saying to me, there is no help, no
-
salvation from him in God, many are saying.
-
Many people are saying there's no help.
-
And somebody you get respell like you know, things around
-
you tell you that no help comes from here and
-
from God. But the something you put there, pause for
-
a moment. Between two and three, there's the word selah.
-
There means pause for a moment, next the next worse.
-
When you pause for a moment, friends, it helps you
-
to think about you. Although are a shield for me,
-
my glory and my honor, and the one who lifts
-
up my head with my I was cryings for with
-
my woice. I was crying to the Lord. He answered
-
me from his holy mountain. Come on, he answered me,
-
from his holy mountain. Pause, he answered me. God came
-
to for you. Pause for a moment, because God answers
-
your God, because you know that God is real, comes
-
the next words here, which is worse. For I'm able
-
to lay down and sleep. The problem is not about
-
the mountains and the promise that we don't pause.
-
Right now.
-
In our church, we are trying to move away a
-
lot of things from a person. We grow the church
-
from tree to where we are right now. You know
-
when you're small, because everything surrounds your decision making. But
-
when you're bigger, ready you have to work through system,
-
money and many times in our life as we don't
-
go work to a stir.
-
We golden.
-
You just work depends on a person. And why if
-
the person is not well not able to everything all
-
fails after that. That's why, after all the church are
-
we hating to the right place? If you were one thing,
-
the church to grow, church to go. Therefore, we need
-
to realign certain things. As I close, friends, I want
-
to encourage you. Life is really a journey. It's not
-
a journey whereby you just go empty. The word is
-
say you don't know what to bring. The lords reminding
-
you bring your lamb, the oil and extra oil. Don't
-
rush shoe the day We'll ask yourself like, hey, why
-
are you bringing the extra oil? Because you can miss
-
the moment where you meet the bright groom. You can
-
miss the moment of your opportunity. Friends, we can go
-
to life, like I say again, carrying stuff they're not
-
meant to carry, not meant to somethings that really packaged nicely.
-
Your disappointment, discouragement are all packaged so nicely. If you're
-
bringing things with us we have we let these certain
-
things go just a close.
-
I pray with you all.
-
I'm so sorry if I rush through these apologies again,
-
but let me just let me pray for your possibly
-
back the chairpersis.
-
Will you look to God right now?
-
Thank you Lord, Thank you Jesus, thank you Holy Spirit.
-
Father.
-
In the name of Jesus, we look to you right now. Lord,
-
that you are a god for sustain us, who loves us.
-
For I pray for everyone here.
-
Lord, that we learn to just take a pause, moment,
-
a halftime right now, to look where we are at,
-
to look into our own hearts, to ask ourselves. Am
-
I not just hitting the right direction? Am I going
-
to the direction with the right attitude? Gladness of heart?
-
Is my heart pure before you? Lord? If just if
-
my heart is not in the line of your Lord,
-
I want to learn to surrender before you right now.
-
And Lord, would you help me to align b my heart?
-
Would you help me to have the extra oil? Because Lord,
-
with the extra oil, Lord, I can enter into the banquet.
-
With the extra oil, Lord, I can enter the opportunity
-
you have prepared for me.
-
Lord.
-
So I pray for everyone here when we experience you
-
in a fashion new way. Lord, in Jesus' name, Lord, Amen,
-
we hope you've.
