  1. You're listening to a message to go from at church.

  2. We hope this message will light up your day.

  3. Today will be going through the third core value, which

  4. is kingdom okay, kingdom minded yeah, and so they are

  5. going to be three things. If you look at your

  6. book to fill in, I'll just guide you through so

  7. you'll know what to also take down as in your notes. Firstly,

  8. we'll try to understand what do we mean by kingdom?

  9. What is kingdom? Why? Okay, why are we looking at

  10. the kingdom? Right? And what and how or what is

  11. kingdom mindedness? So when someone tells you, okay, you have

  12. to have a kingdom mind, what do we mean by that?

  13. And how can we do that? All right? So by

  14. the end of today's summoned this is what you need

  15. to catch right and be able to live it out

  16. as well. Okay, so what is the kingdom? All right?

  17. What is the kingdom? If you can just look at

  18. this picture here? What is this picture? It's a castle, right,

  19. It's a a castle. I'm sure you have passed through

  20. passed by our Istana Nagara as well. Okay, what kind

  21. of an impression does the palace give to you? Royalty

  22. Majestic agay. And if you know, the colors that we

  23. have in Malaysia is goal right, So that is what

  24. symbolizes royalty, kingdom, right, a castle. Yeah. And then the

  25. next picture, who is this a king? Right? A king?

  26. Do we have a king in Malaysia? Yes, we do

  27. have a king, right? And do you have another king? Yes?

  28. Jesus right, the king of kings and the law of law. Right,

  29. So we have a king. And then what is the

  30. next picture. What does this tell you? In the palace

  31. his people right, you know, everyone is you know, devoted

  32. to the king. Everyone follows what the king says, you know.

  33. And so it's like a government, right, a government where

  34. it rules and leads the people. Yeah. So basically when

  35. we speak about a kingdom, this is what it has. Okay,

  36. it has a place like a palace, right or in

  37. our context a country. Right. And then we have a king,

  38. someone who rules because we need someone who leads us, right.

  39. And then we have someone that we actually this person

  40. who leads us that we can look up to so citizens. Right.

  41. So when we speak about the kingdom in the context

  42. of you know, our faith Christianity, this is exactly what

  43. it means, right. And the thing about kingdom is that, yes,

  44. we leave in this world, we have a king that

  45. we follow. We are called when most of us your

  46. Malaysians or you know, all Malaysians, right right, whether to

  47. say Brunei no okay, oh, yes, Singaporean we have one

  48. Singaporean yeah, okay, but technically a lot like Malaysia already yeah,

  49. for all these years with us, okay, so yeah, we

  50. are all called Malaysians and we vote right, and you know,

  51. we know what's going on and things like that. But

  52. the thing is what we want to learn about having

  53. a kingdom mind is that the world that we're living

  54. in is temporary. Okay, I hope we catch that because

  55. until and unless we don't realize that, right, we're going

  56. to think that this is my life and my world

  57. until the end. Well, this is where you're going to stay.

  58. But as believers, we have the kingdom that is that

  59. it's going to be permanent, right when Jesus comes to

  60. take us all or when God calls us back. There's

  61. a kingdom that we're all looking for. The meaning we

  62. are citizens here, but in a kind of like a

  63. temporary citizens okay, but we are true citizens of his kingdom. Yeah.

  64. And so we have to be able to catch that.

  65. So let's look at some you know, scriptures here to understand.

  66. So we can look at Matthew for seventy Okay, says

  67. Jesus says here, repent for the Kingdom of God is

  68. at hen Right, Repent for the Kingdom of God is

  69. at henn. And in fact, when you read the different

  70. teachings that Jesus used to give in the Gospels, he

  71. spoke a lot about the kingdom. Yeah, and so you

  72. know when he says at hand, meaning the coming of

  73. the Lord is so near, right, it's time for you

  74. to repent. Right. But we all know what happened when

  75. Jesus was on earth. Many didn't believe. Okay, there were

  76. those who believe, some who did not, and they chose

  77. to crucify him. They chose to put him on the cross. Yeah,

  78. And that is why we have Matthew of twenty five

  79. thirty one. It says, when the Son of Man comes

  80. in his glory and all the Holy angels with him,

  81. then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

  82. And so this talks about the second coming of the Lord. Yeah.

  83. So the Bible itself shows us a lot of signs

  84. or what it is about the kingdom of God that

  85. we got to catch. Right in Matthew six ten, it

  86. says wherever his will is done, that's where God is right.

  87. And so the question for us I think to think

  88. about when we speak about kingdom is is God's will

  89. in your life? You know, like me saying this not

  90. the song as well? Right, your will be done? So

  91. when we speak about God's kingdom, in a simple way

  92. of understanding, it is whether in every day when I

  93. wake up, do I say God led your will to

  94. be done? Because as long as you can say that,

  95. as long as you can leave that way, meaning you

  96. are living in God's kingdom, right, you are living in

  97. God's kingdom. Because the thing is that God has this

  98. beautiful plan for all of us, for mankind. But at

  99. the same time He has given us the free will

  100. to choose whether we want to live in accordance to

  101. His will or in the world's will. Right, there's a

  102. choice that we make every other day when we wake up. Yeah,

  103. So just like how you are citizens of Malaysia or

  104. citizens of Singapore, there are rules that you got to

  105. leave by, any rules that you can think of of

  106. being a Malaysian what you can or what you can't do?

  107. Don't speed on the road, very good driver safe, save driver,

  108. don't Yes? What else? What are the rules that you

  109. need to abide on? No smoky ah okay okay, yes, yes,

  110. most restaurants now you can't. What else? Don't throw rubbish?

  111. Oh yeah, Singapore is very strict about it. Malaysia. Yeah,

  112. we got a long way to go there, Okay, but Singapore, yes,

  113. you get fine, right and you throw rubbish? What else?

  114. Echingham in Singapore? Singapore is or you all those Singapore

  115. rules better than Malaysia any any other rules? Don't drink okay, yeah,

  116. don't drink while you're driving, Yeah, don't what don't bring

  117. Dorian's hotel? Well, your rules are all very funny okay

  118. and cute okay, okay. You know when you say something right,

  119. yet she shows what's important for you and all so

  120. we know, even Dorian puff okay. Yeah, so rules right

  121. when you leave or when you are working in a company,

  122. or when you're in a school, there are certain rules

  123. that you abide in and we all are aware of it. Yeah,

  124. And sometimes it comes in the form of reminder whether

  125. we are a very law abiding person. So you're very

  126. cautious or you learn from lesson, you make a mistake

  127. and then you realize, oh, this is something I can't do. Right.

  128. Sorry that baster Sandra said with us, she didn't renew

  129. a road text, right, So that is a rule as well. Yeah.

  130. So at the same time, we need to know the

  131. laws of God to live in his kingdom and under

  132. his governance makes sense, right, because if you want to

  133. be under someone's ruling, if you want to be able to,

  134. you know, be under someone's authority, you've got to know

  135. what is it that How is it that God wants

  136. us to leave? What is it like to be his

  137. sons and daughters? What is it like to be able

  138. to experience when we say let your will be done?

  139. Is it just merely words that we say or meaning

  140. We've got to make certain choices in life. Right that

  141. all of you chose to come on a Sunday, Well,

  142. that's a choice that you made. We chose to serve right,

  143. all these things is in the matter of whether you're

  144. trying to say, yes, I'm living in the Kingdom of God. Yeah,

  145. you know. So it's and the decision that we tell

  146. to make, right church, it would determine whether we are

  147. believing or waiting for God results or world results. They

  148. have big difference there, right, God's results versus the world results.

  149. If you say God's will be done, meaning you are

  150. wanting God's results. But if you say God, maybe my

  151. will and a little bit of your will, then that's

  152. the world's results. Yeah. So what do we choose, should

  153. say and do? Every other day? I pray that we

  154. do not become a church where we just choose certain

  155. things and some things my way. Yeah. It's either you're

  156. all in or you're all not in. Right, So that

  157. is what it means by living under God's will. So

  158. you know what's the heart behind this value? Right? You

  159. know when God said just now, what we read repent

  160. for the Kingdom of God is that, Hey, God is

  161. not just after our salvation, yeah, which was laws in

  162. fact in the Garden of Eden when Adam and is sinned. Right,

  163. salvation is not the end but the beginning of sonship,

  164. meaning the moment you say yes, I receive Jesus as

  165. my savior, meaning we're called his sons and daughters. Yeah.

  166. And God's intention was always from the very beginning that

  167. his children will spread his kingdom across the earth. Yeah.

  168. So it's not just only when you're a merchid believer

  169. or when you are a leader or whatever. It's not

  170. just that. But the moment you say yes, God, I

  171. follow you, I receive you, that has always been a

  172. splend that you will also spread the Kingdom of God

  173. to the earth. So we are saved to become sons

  174. and daughters who bring God's reign and rule to every

  175. sapphire of our lives. Yeah. So if you think about it,

  176. if you're an called the son of God or the

  177. daughter of God, it just means that when we say

  178. the indom of God, meaning we are to bring the

  179. good news to this earth as the citizens that we're

  180. living in. Yeah. And that is why we do missions,

  181. and that is why we spread the gospel, right, that

  182. is why we show acts of kindness, because that just

  183. means we are living under the authorished authority of the

  184. Kingdom itself. If we don't do that, then meaning we're

  185. not fully abiding in it. Yeah, or we may lose

  186. the sense or the purpose of why am I a believer?

  187. If we only feed ourselves, right, because there always has

  188. to be bored. We're feeding ourselves at the same time

  189. we are spreading is kingdom. Yeah, So now let's just

  190. take some time to understand. I mean, we have an

  191. idea of what is the kingdom. What is kingdom mindedness? Right?

  192. What is kingdom mindedness? When we say kingdom minded meaning,

  193. our minds are filled and committed to seeing what God

  194. intended in the beginning and the end. Yeah. So it's

  195. not just a knowledge, but it's in our minds that

  196. we know and we are filled. We are making a

  197. commitment right that God, I want to see what You're

  198. going to do from the beginning to the end. Yeah.

  199. And when we talk about this, it just means that

  200. we're not only about leading people to Christ, yeah, but

  201. it's also making sure we matter to them, making disciples

  202. who represent God. So when we say making disciples, that

  203. is part of being in the Kingdom of God as well. Right,

  204. I means we don't just Okay, you receive Jesus, that's all.

  205. But we walk with each other, right, we journey together.

  206. And that is why when we read the Book of

  207. X right X chapter two, when the church grew, there

  208. was a scripture that we can see at the very

  209. start of that chapter. It says that people came together,

  210. they broke, break together, they fellowship, they pray together, right,

  211. and that is what it means to be living in

  212. the Kingdom of God. Amen. Yeah, So you know, let's

  213. try to understand, you know, how can we develop this

  214. kingdom mindedness. If you have that kingdom mind, great, okay,

  215. you're living it on you've caught the heart of it

  216. and you're living in His will. But if you're just

  217. too very new to this, let's try to understand how. Yeah.

  218. You know, when we read about the Gospels, you can

  219. see that the Jews was very much and baded into

  220. this whole concept of kingdom minded. Yeah, they had that

  221. idea of what it means to be kingdom minded because

  222. they came from such a generation, right. They came from

  223. a time when you know, there was that gap between

  224. New Testament and the Old Testament where they were waiting

  225. for a Messiah to come. Right in their teachings from

  226. the Jews time, they always knew that there's always going

  227. to be the Kingdom of God, right, and so there

  228. was always that anticipation. Yeah, So it was not so

  229. difficult for them to catch it right because it's all

  230. has been in the in the religion it's been in

  231. the teaching. Yeah, so it's been there. And we can

  232. look at few references from the Bible as well. Okay,

  233. we can see X one tree where the Church always

  234. reference back to the Kingdom of God. Yeah, there will

  235. be a time where the Kingdom of God is to

  236. be established. And then we read Matthew twenty twenty one. Okay,

  237. we know these two criminals right where the mother will

  238. actually tell Jesus agay, says, grant, these two sons of

  239. mine may sit one on your right hand and the

  240. other on the left in your kingdom. So meaning this

  241. was the lingo that the citizens actually had. They know

  242. that there's such a thing as a kingdom, right. And

  243. then we have Joseph. Okay, Joseph is the person who actually,

  244. you know, after Jesus, you know, died, and then he

  245. was in the tomb, he was the one who wanted to,

  246. you know, do the ceremony for him. So he was,

  247. you know, of follower of Jesus as well. So then

  248. it says in Luke twenty three fifty to fifty one.

  249. Now behold there was a man named Joseph, a council member,

  250. a good and just man. He had not consented to

  251. their decision, indeed, meaning the crucifixion, right, the act of

  252. crucifying Jesus. He was from Arimata, a city of the Jews,

  253. who himself was also waiting for the Kingdom of God. Yeah.

  254. So these are just some references of how we can

  255. see the people in the Bible times, you know, where

  256. they were always anticipating there for the Kingdom of God. Yeah,

  257. but it could be a bit different for you if

  258. you have not come from such a background, right, maybe

  259. you're new in the faith, or maybe you have not

  260. had a deeper understanding of the scripture. So that is

  261. why we are trying to teach the church to understand

  262. that it's not just something that's mentioned in the Bible,

  263. but it's a value that we are holding on as

  264. a church as well. Because when you say your kingdom minded,

  265. it's not just about ex church, but it's about churches

  266. as a whole. How do we stay united when you

  267. have conversations with friends who are not believers yet are

  268. yet to know Christ, right, and when they ask you

  269. things about churches, how do we explain is it just

  270. in the context of X, or is in the context

  271. of kingdom? Right? Kingdom is having a wider lens, a

  272. bigger lens. Okay, there's a unity that we have to

  273. come together. Sometimes people may have a misconception of churches,

  274. you know, why every church is so different, or you know,

  275. sometimes we may look down at another smaller church, but no,

  276. X has never been that way, right. In fact, Pastor's

  277. vision has always been that with whatever God has given

  278. to us, the talents and the gifts, we want to

  279. bless other churches as well, right, And that is what

  280. we have been doing with the Dream Malaysia that Passes

  281. started to actually equip the pastors from different parts of

  282. the world, especially smaller churches you know, in small states

  283. like Klantan and Trenga and all these where the youth

  284. comes over to kl and there's no other younger ones

  285. who are rising up. And these are the places that

  286. Passes have been actually equipping and growing. Yeah. So that

  287. is what kingdom minded is is it's about building the

  288. whole kingdom that God has given us. Are we getting

  289. something from this? Yeah? All right, So it's important for

  290. us to have the awareness when we talk about kingdom mindedness, Okay,

  291. for us to have the awareness and to know that

  292. we are called to live in the Kingdom of God,

  293. not just get so caught up of being a I mean,

  294. be a good citizen of Malaysia. By the same time,

  295. be a good citizen of God's kingdom, because that is

  296. what that will last. Yeah. So now let's look at

  297. a couple of scriptures here to help you understand. What

  298. does the Bible tell us about becoming kingdom minded? Right now,

  299. let's read the first one here in coalitions chep the

  300. tree versus one to four. Okay, so what does it say?

  301. It says, Yeah, if then you were raised with Christ,

  302. seek those things which are above where Christ is sitting

  303. at the right hand of God. Set your mind on

  304. things above, not on things on the earth. For you

  305. died and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

  306. When Christ, who is our life, appears, then you will

  307. also appear with him in glory. What do you see?

  308. What does this scripture talk about kingdom? But do you

  309. catch her? What does it tell us? Yes, setting your

  310. mind on the things above? Does it make a difference

  311. the way we leave our lives? If you do, then

  312. how would it make a difference? That's right? Yeah, you

  313. remember God's promises, so you may see a date end

  314. in front of you, or you may see an unanset prayer.

  315. But then you know what God's promise tells me something else, right,

  316. he tells me I will never leave you, I'll never

  317. forsake you. Yeah, ask and it should be given to you.

  318. So when you do these kind of things, it means

  319. that you're setting your mind on things above. You're setting

  320. your mind on the ways of God. You're setting your

  321. mind on what God is able to do, not based

  322. on what you see in the world or your human eyes. Yeah.

  323. So that is what it means to be kingdom minded,

  324. to have your eyes thin above. So you may be

  325. going through your normal day, You're going into work, You're

  326. going through certain situations. Suddenly your boss tells you something

  327. that really hits you hard. Yeah, you didn't see it coming,

  328. and you know, you just feel like you're in a

  329. date end at work. But you know what, when you

  330. have a kingdom mind, you will just take a step

  331. back and say it's going to be okay. God, may

  332. you take over this project, May you take over this boss,

  333. and you lead the way. If you can say something

  334. like that, that means you have a kingdom mind. Right,

  335. Because God's word tells us to not be anxious, but

  336. to bring it to God in prayer. So ask yourself,

  337. how do you live your life every other day? You're

  338. not talking about only on a Sunday or on great days. Right,

  339. we're talking on your mundane usual days, because that is

  340. when you can test how your mind is. Is it

  341. on the kingdom of God? Yep, this's the first one

  342. that we can draw. Now, let's look at another scripture

  343. here Ephesians chapter two versus four to six. Yeah, Ephicient

  344. chapter of two Versus four to six. Let's look at

  345. a scripture. It says, but God, who is rich in

  346. mercy because of his great love with which he loved

  347. us even when we were date in trust passes made

  348. us alive together with Christ by grace you have been saved,

  349. and raise us up together and made us sit together

  350. in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the

  351. ages to come, he might show the exceeding riches of

  352. his grace in his kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. Now,

  353. what does this tell you about having a kingdom mind?

  354. If you have a kingdom mind, what does this tell

  355. you sharing God's love together with other people? There are

  356. greater days things to come. I love that right, because

  357. you know what it says here that we are made

  358. to sit together in the heavenly places. That is the

  359. greatest thing to come. Meaning it's not something that God

  360. just says, if he doesn't just say maybe, but it's

  361. something that he is very sure about that we're all

  362. going to be sitting together with him. We are all

  363. called to be in the kingdom of God. Right, God

  364. is very sure. It doesn't change. He's the same today, yesterday,

  365. and forever. Yeah. The only thing that changes is us

  366. that we may doubt God. Am I good enough to

  367. be in your kingdom? Or am I good enough to

  368. be a call your son and daughter? I'm making mistakes

  369. and I'm sinning every other day. But what does God

  370. tell us here in the scripture? By his mercy, by

  371. his great love, he forgives our trespasses right, if only

  372. we can humbly come before He's throne and say, God,

  373. forgive me, right, forgive me. So sometimes we can go

  374. down the lane of condemnation because of certain mystics or

  375. certain unbelief. By all God wantswers is to just come

  376. before him and say, God, I'm sorry, forgive me. Teach

  377. me how to leave, yeah, and then hold on to

  378. his promise. So I want us to remember that kingdom

  379. mindedness means to hold on to his love. Yeah, and

  380. to remember there's already a promise Mete for you and

  381. I that we are going to be sitting in the

  382. Kingdom of God. Right, We're going to be sitting in

  383. the Kingdom of God. Yeah. And so meaning your life

  384. should be in such a way every day when you

  385. wake up you are set on this. You know what.

  386. I'm a child of God, I'm a child of the

  387. King of Kings. And when you tell yourself those things,

  388. you will leave in such a way. Right. If you

  389. know you come from the royal Richard, if you come

  390. from the Brunei Royalty, I'm sure you dress differently, you

  391. talk differently, right, Ah, there'll be so many friends around you,

  392. you know, you just change, right. And the same thing,

  393. if you know that you're in the Royalty of God's Kingdom,

  394. the Holy Priesthuit, the King of Kings, you would change,

  395. you will. You'd be so different with how you make

  396. your choices, the way you look at things. You know

  397. that it's not just about like what Eline said, not

  398. just what you see in front of you. But you

  399. know that there's things beyond that. Greater days to come. Yeah,

  400. greater days to come. That is what it means to

  401. have a kingdom mind. Yeah, just look at Philippine chap

  402. the Tree versus twenty right, Philippines three twenty. It says

  403. for our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also

  404. eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who

  405. will transform our lowly bodies that is made maybe that

  406. it may be conformed to his glorious body, according to

  407. the working by which he is able even to subdue

  408. all things to himself. So what does it tell us

  409. here that we are citizens of Singapore, citizen or Malaysia

  410. citizens in heaven. Turn to the person next to you

  411. and tell them you are a citizen of heaven. So

  412. when someone asks you, right, if someone asks you if

  413. God is going to take you back today, that's reality, right,

  414. that's life. Where do you know where you're going to go?

  415. I hope that's your answer. I don't just say maybe heaven.

  416. Don't say that. Okay, the moment you receive Jesus as

  417. your savior and when you're walking with him, meaning you're

  418. going to heaven. Yeah, and that means even more so

  419. we've got to pray for our friends and family who

  420. do not know Christ, because that's the reality, guys, is

  421. either heaven or not heaven. Yeah, and we've got to

  422. eagerly pray and bring the gospel to the artists, push

  423. the Kingdom of God, because if we can enjoy the

  424. goodness of being a citizen in heaven, how about our

  425. loved ones. You don't want them to miss out as well, right,

  426. So let's pray and declare God's word in their lives

  427. as well. Yeah, so citizens, you are citizens in heaven. Now,

  428. let's look at Second Corinthians five, verses seventeen two twenty one. Okay,

  429. it says here therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he

  430. is a new creation. Things have passed away. Behold, all

  431. things have become new. Now all things are of God,

  432. who has reconciltius to himself through Christ Jesus, and has

  433. given us the ministry of reconcoliation. That is that God

  434. was in Christ reconstolizing the world to himself, not imputing

  435. their trospasses to them, and has committed to us the

  436. word of reconciliation. And there's a lot of words here,

  437. take some time to take it in. Yeah. It talks

  438. about we are a new creation and God himself reconsults

  439. for us. Yeah. And then he says in verses twenty. Now,

  440. then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were

  441. pleading through us. We implore you, on Christ's behalf, be

  442. reconciled to God, for He made him who knew no sin,

  443. to be sin for us that we might become the

  444. righteousness of God in him. So we are called what

  445. are we called ambassadors for Christ? What does an ambassador

  446. do represent? Right? So, if you're going to be an

  447. ambassador from Malaysia to another country, what would you be doing.

  448. You'll be talking about Malaysia. You're representing Malaysia, right. You're

  449. proud to be who you are. If you're ambassador for

  450. a brand, Okay, if any of you have been into

  451. advertisement or whatever it is, you speak so proudly about

  452. that thing, right because you're going to be living it

  453. out or looking at genescon Okay, because you are leaving

  454. that brand out. Right, You can't you you mean, if

  455. you're paid to be an ambassador, you can't say the

  456. other brand is better, you know, or the other person

  457. is better, you're gonna get you into trouble. Right, So

  458. when someone sees you and I out there, can they

  459. tell for sure that you're an ambassador of Price or

  460. we ambassador of something else? Yeah? And it says that

  461. we are a new creation. So when you have accepted Jesus,

  462. have you become a new person? A new person, not

  463. meaning you change everything your face and all that, or

  464. your hairstyle. You don't need to do that, but just

  465. the way you carry yourself right, the way you speak?

  466. Are you a little bit more gracious? Are you a

  467. bit more forgiving? Are you loving? Right? Loving to people?

  468. Like the Word of God says love your enemy? Can

  469. you still do that? Right? Can you do that? Or

  470. are we just not different with anyone out there? Because

  471. there must be a different right if you're an ambassador

  472. of Christ and if you're not an ambassador of Christ.

  473. So that is what it means to have a kingdom mind. Yeah,

  474. so there's four scriptures tells us something. Right, setting your mind.

  475. We are made to sit on the throne of God. Yeah,

  476. we are called citizens and we are the ambassadors of Christ.

  477. So if you can just think about it again and

  478. ask yourself, do I have all this for If you

  479. have it, then yes, you have a kingdom mind, right,

  480. or if not, we're all still working progress. Ask the

  481. Lord God, can you help me to do a little

  482. bit more of this? Right? Every other day you're making

  483. a choice to be better and to grow closer to Him. Amen. Right,

  484. So I hope you're taking down some notes on your books, yeah,

  485. so that you can actually use this as your reflection

  486. during your quiet time as well. That's why we created

  487. this handbooks. Yeah, so you can every time you go

  488. to God, you say, God, I just need to be

  489. a little bit more of a new creation and keep

  490. my always aside, right, And so that could be your

  491. prayer when you wake up, or you're saying, God, I

  492. need to set my mind on what's above and not

  493. always on what I see down here on earth. Then

  494. that could be your prayer. Yeah, so ask the Lord. Yeah.

  495. So now I'm just going to close with this. You

  496. know this scripture from Philippians four Versus six to nine,

  497. and this is going to be serving as a checklist

  498. for you as well. Right, Let's try to make God's

  499. word as practical as possible. Okay, So by the end

  500. of today, when you walk out, you can tell yourself

  501. how many if I take Tanana ask you. You know,

  502. don't have to tell to the person next to you.

  503. But it's your own reflection, okay, to know whether, yeah,

  504. I think I've ticked all this and I have the

  505. kingdom mind right, or maybe I just don't need to

  506. do a bit better, okay, to embrace this value in

  507. my life. Yeah. So if you have your bible's listened

  508. to Philippians four, Okay, Philippians four Versus six to nine. Okay,

  509. I'm going to just read this whole passage first, and

  510. then we will look at this point as are we

  511. all there? Okay? So it says here be anxious for nothing,

  512. but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving. Let

  513. your requests be made known to God, and the peace

  514. of God be surpasses all understanding. Will guard your hearts

  515. and minds through Christ Jesus versus eight. Finally, Brethren, whatever

  516. things that are true, things that are noble, whatever things

  517. they are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely,

  518. whatever things that are of good report. If there is

  519. any virtue, and if there is anything praise worthy, meditate

  520. on these things. The things we should learned and received

  521. and heard and saw in me this do and the

  522. God of Peace will be with you. So Paul teach

  523. us teaches the church and the Philippines about what it

  524. means to leave as a kingdom minded person. Yeah, he

  525. gives us this guy. And I'm sure this scripture is

  526. not new to many of you who have been in

  527. the church for some time. Right. We always talk about

  528. do not be anxious, pray about it. But is it

  529. the easiest to do sometimes? Yeah, But I just want

  530. to give us a challenge and encourage us as a

  531. church that we can take our faith to the next

  532. level if we can just do this checklist and ask

  533. the Lord God, can you work in things that maybe

  534. I need to do a little bit better. Yeah. So

  535. the first one that we read in verses four here

  536. it says to rejoice in the Lord always and again

  537. I say rejoice. Then to the person next to you

  538. and smile to them. Rejoice. What's your rejoice face like? Right?

  539. So you know, rejoicing is not something that we just

  540. it's just a nice thing to do, but it's something

  541. that the Word tells us to do to rejoice. Yeah.

  542. And the challenge here when we have a kingdom mind

  543. is not just to be rejoicing when you are in

  544. a good mood, but to be able to rejoice during

  545. hard times as well, because the Bible tells us here

  546. at all times. Yeah, but this does not mean you're

  547. being ignorant, you're forgetting your problems and you're just in

  548. your own wonderland. Yeah, but it just means that beyond

  549. every circumstances, beyond every challenge, I can still say God

  550. is good. Yeah, I can still say God is in control.

  551. I can still declare God's promises. That is what it

  552. means rejoicing, because anyone can rejoice in good times, but

  553. it's only someone who has a kingdom mind, who knows

  554. who is in control, can say I'm just still going

  555. to rejoice. You don't have to smile to rejoice. Sometimes

  556. you just need to have the joy of the Lord

  557. in your hearts, right, the assurance, the peace, and to

  558. carry it on. Right. So that's going to be the

  559. first point, Yeah, rejoicing in the Lord. Now as we

  560. go on to the next verse, Okay, it says here

  561. in versus five, Yeah, let your gentleness be known to

  562. all men. The Lord is at hen right. So the

  563. next point or the checklist for you to ask is selfless?

  564. Are you gentle? And I'm not saying just gentle as

  565. in gentle like we may all think of it, right,

  566. but just sometimes the way we treat our this Okay,

  567. you don't know. You can be a loud, outspoken person.

  568. You can be an extroverty that's completely a different thing. Yeah,

  569. but we're talking about gentleness. I mean, what's going on

  570. in your heart? How do you look at others? Are

  571. you quick to give mercy? Or are we so quick

  572. to sometimes judge a person and say, hey, so this?

  573. So you don't know, but if God can be just

  574. so patient to us, so gentle to us, why can't

  575. we be to others? Why can't we be gentle to ourselves?

  576. Sometimes you can be so hard on yourselves? Right? Why

  577. am I not getting this? Why am I not doing

  578. what I need to do? But the Word of God

  579. tells us here to be gentle, and it says, here,

  580. let your gentleness be known to all men so many.

  581. It's not just for yourself, but it's the way we

  582. treat others. Only then they can see that this person

  583. is as an ambassador of Christ, this person has the

  584. Kingdom mind in him. And why do you do that

  585. because the Lord is at hand. That is what Worse

  586. five tells us, meaning you can't do that because you

  587. know who's in control. You can forgive the person so

  588. quickly even though it was not your fault, because you

  589. know that you know what God is in control. And

  590. I submit this brother or this sister to Christ. Okay,

  591. I'm going to love this person nevertheless, because God tells

  592. me to love my enemies. You know why, because the

  593. Lord is at Okay, gentleness, yeah, gentleness. Now the third point,

  594. the third point in Versus six, it says, be anxious

  595. for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,

  596. let your requests be made known to God. So what

  597. the Word of God tells us here to do is

  598. to acknowledge that the Lord is near and to go

  599. to hum. And you're feeling anxious, just think about the

  600. past week that you just got through. What did you

  601. do when you felt anxious? What is the first thing

  602. that you did? Well? Pray? Well, then so you can

  603. think a checklist for yourself. Right, Or the first thing

  604. I did was grab a chocolate cake and just have

  605. it because I'm feeling anxious, right, or called a friend. Right? Well,

  606. these things are not completely wrong. Yeah, but to fully

  607. be in the Kingdom of God is to know that,

  608. you know what, I'm feeling anxious, which is a very

  609. human thing. But I'm going to turn to the Lord.

  610. I'm going to bring this petition to God and say, God,

  611. I'm feeling this way, I'm frustrated, I'm feeling heavy. That's

  612. why the world of God says, come to me, all

  613. of you are heavy laden, right, And when you bring

  614. this to God, you'll see that your anxiousness are surrendered

  615. to him. Because if you think about it in a

  616. bigger lens, who can actually solve your problems? If it's

  617. not the lot, Right, you can speak to every other

  618. person that's around you, well, they can listen to you,

  619. they can give you advice. But what if it's a

  620. situation that you can't do anything, if it's out of

  621. your control, what can men do? What can all the

  622. money in the world can do to solve that? Right,

  623. some situations, you just need God's intervention. Yeah, and that

  624. is what it means to not be anxious. So can

  625. you just tell this to yourself, tell this to your

  626. inner man, to your spirit, that I'm going to not

  627. be anxious even if I'm anxious. I'm going to bring

  628. it to the Lord. And if you did that, I

  629. hope you are smiling and saying well done, because it's

  630. not the easiest to do. But that's because you've adapted

  631. a kingdom mind and you know who's in control. Amen. Right,

  632. So that's the third thing. Now, let's look at the

  633. thought point. It says here in verses six again the

  634. same scripture, it says to pray, to ask, and to

  635. be humble, right, because he says prayer, supplication, thanksgiving, and

  636. let your requests be made known to God. So the

  637. thing about praying about, you know, when you have a

  638. kingdom mind, is that they're not just so caught up

  639. of what I want. Right, But could we say prayers

  640. when we are meaning that God led your will to

  641. be done? We are humble before the Lord? Because so

  642. what if what you're asking the Lord is a completely

  643. different thing that he wants to give you, would be

  644. be ready to as accept that? Because sometimes if you

  645. want to be real and strong, you just got to

  646. accept certain things that happens in your life, right, certain

  647. situations or struggles. So would you be able to first

  648. come to a place take a step back and say God,

  649. whatever I'm saying to you, my prayer, this is my desire,

  650. this is my petition. At the end of the day,

  651. led your will to be done, so that whatever comes

  652. after that you know that and your rest assured that

  653. it happened because God knew better. God knows better. In fact,

  654. God knows you more than you know yourself.

  655. Right.

  656. Sometimes we think that we know everything about ourselves. But

  657. the thing is that He's your creator. He molded you.

  658. He knew what kind of eyes to give you, what

  659. knows to give you, what mind to give you, what

  660. kind of a heart? Where to grow up, whether Militia

  661. or Singapore. All these things God already predestined He has

  662. planned for you. The truth that you all, all of us,

  663. need to catch is that God knows you beyond how

  664. you even know yourself. So shouldn't be trusted even more? Right,

  665. we should trust the Lord even more? Yeah? And then

  666. in versus seven, it says, and the peace of God,

  667. which surpasses all understanding, will God your hearts and minds. Yeah,

  668. And so it just means that you go to God.

  669. You know the peace of God and the peace of

  670. God gods your hearts and mind. How many of you

  671. actually felt God's peace, right, And it's the peace of

  672. God that gods our hearts and minds. And if it's

  673. been a while since you've gotten to the place of

  674. experiencing God's peace, maybe it's time to welcome God's peace

  675. and ask the Lord God, I'm in this situation. I

  676. need your peace, I need your love. And the thing is,

  677. it says it gods, Gods your means. It also kind

  678. of sometimes holds you back from doing suddain things, or

  679. it might also push you to do certain things right

  680. when it gods your heart. It might so if your

  681. heart says, oh, I want to tell this person off,

  682. I speak my heart out. But you know, when the

  683. peace of God comes in you, it gots and say, hey,

  684. hold up, don't say it. I have other plans, right,

  685. And so the piece of God sometimes so there's Christians

  686. you think, oh, peace is just all serene and nice

  687. and quiet. Well, sometimes the peace of God doesn't just

  688. work that way. The peace of God sometimes still something

  689. within us and say, you know what, this is what

  690. you should do instead all sit down and don't do anything.

  691. Just trust me, right, because it gots the key word

  692. year is Gods, it gots your minds, it gots your hearts.

  693. And that is why sometimes the Lord puts something in

  694. your spirit and you share it to someone, or you

  695. speak it in the world right, or you encourage a

  696. person because the peace of God is in you. Because

  697. someone who doesn't have the peace of God, how is

  698. God going to speak in you? Because you are you

  699. are mixed up with your voices, You're mixed up with

  700. our wisdom, our understanding. So where is there going to

  701. be room for God to actually speak to us or

  702. speak true us right? Because I may have a different

  703. impression about y infinn, I'd be thinking about it something else.

  704. So what if God wants to put something in my

  705. heart to tell her? I can't hear that right because

  706. I am clouded with everything else that I'm seeing in

  707. front of me. But the peace of God. If the

  708. peace of God God's my heart and mind, I don't

  709. see all of that. I can just speak out the

  710. word of God. Yeah, that is what the peace of

  711. God does. So Church, it's time to rise up and

  712. to hear the voice of the Lot. Don't just be

  713. caught up on a Sunday service message, which is good.

  714. You listen to it, but what you do on every

  715. other day. Are you listening to God? Are you able

  716. to listen to him? Are you able to feel his

  717. fees and say, Okay, God, just tell me what to do.

  718. Let your peace, God be right. Let that be a

  719. decision that you want to do this week to draw

  720. closer to Him. Yeah. Now the last point here, okay

  721. in verses eight to nine, Okay, it says a couple

  722. of words here, right. It talks about things that are true, normal,

  723. just pure, lovely, good, report, virtue, and praiseworthy. In fact,

  724. if you can just list out all these words on

  725. your journal or on your phone and just have a

  726. thick right, what are these things that I want to

  727. work on a little bit more? Right? Or thank God

  728. for maybe the things that He has been working in you? Right?

  729. Because it first tells us to be pure true. Being

  730. pure is so important in the eyes of God. Our thoughts,

  731. our relationships, the way we treat others, to speak the

  732. truth at all times. Sometimes it can be tempting to

  733. say a lie just because you want to look good

  734. in front of people, but that is not what God

  735. wants for of us. He wants us to be truthful,

  736. because if you can't be truthful to yourself. You can't

  737. be truthful to people around you, how are you going

  738. to listen the truth from God? Yeah, so it's time

  739. to put our lives back to the right place. Yeah,

  740. we speak about being at the mid of the year. Now,

  741. have a check in. Take some time with your Bible

  742. with the notes that you've taken down, and asked a lot,

  743. what is it that I can work on a little

  744. bit more to be a better person, Not in the

  745. eyes of men alone, but in the eyes of God,

  746. because that is what matters. Yeah. So I've just put

  747. it down together in this way so that you can

  748. see how practical the Word of God is. It's not

  749. meant to be just you know, deep and you know

  750. spiritual in that way. But it's meant for you to

  751. leave it out as well. Right, It's meant for you

  752. to make a decision every other day, because when you

  753. look at all these pointers here, it's a decision that

  754. you have to make. I can choose to rejoice, I

  755. can choose not to rejoice, right. I can choose to

  756. be gentle and to be merciful to someone, or I

  757. can choose not to be right. I can choose to

  758. be anxious and feel like my world is tumbling down,

  759. which is normal to feel that way at times. But

  760. I can still choose to take a step back and say, God,

  761. I bring my anxiousness to you, and could you lead

  762. me right? And I can be all of these words

  763. that I hear to focus on what matters, because if

  764. you look at all the ones in number six year,

  765. that just means you have a kingdom mind. Because if

  766. we can't be pure, if we can't be lovely, we

  767. can't be true. That means we're just missing out the

  768. point about how God wants to leave our life. Remember

  769. we spoke about being the rules of being a citizen

  770. in a country, and the same thing, these are the

  771. rules of being a citizen of the in the heaven,

  772. being a citizen in the Kingdom of God, the authority,

  773. the king of kings. If we want to leave that way,

  774. we've got to have this in our lives. Yeah. So

  775. I pray and hope that you can country to use

  776. this as a reflection, Country, to use this as a

  777. way of you bringing things to God. If you're thinking,

  778. where do I get started? If I want to get

  779. things right back right, if I want to get deeper

  780. with God, this is where you can get started. Yeah,

  781. if you want to take this one step further, why

  782. don't you pair with a friend in church, right, you know,

  783. a sister or brother and have these conversations right, talk

  784. about it. You know what, can you help me to

  785. be accountable? You know? I just want to be better

  786. in this? Can you pray for me? You know, for

  787. those of you in discipleship or you know someone that

  788. you're closed with in church, do that right, so that

  789. you're not just doing this alone in that journey, but

  790. you're also having someone who is spraying along with you

  791. and journeying with you. Amen? Can we do that?

  792. Church?

  793. Can extra us be Kingdom minded? Yeah? Every time we're

  794. coming to church, we know God, you know what I'm
