  1. You're listening to a message to go from as church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your team. Today. We're gonna read from New chapter four

  3. and I'm gonna read from verse eighteen to nineteen. Okay, And this is

  4. Jesus if I'm normally second, This is right after he came out of the

  5. wilderness. He spent forty days and nights in the wilderness, and he just

  6. came out. And the first thing he did was he went to church.

  7. He went to the synagogue, and you know he did he opened the Bible,

  8. he opened the Torah, and he went to Isaiah. And it reads,

  9. the spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me

  10. to preach the Gospel to the poor. He has sent me to heal the

  11. broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and recovery of sight to

  12. the blind, to set at liberty those who are pressed. So Jesus he

  13. came. And we know, well, hopefully all of us here know that

  14. Jesus came, and he fulfilled a lot of the prophecies that happened in the

  15. Old Testament. He fulfilled. He was a lamb let to slaughter. All

  16. these words are very significant, right he fulfilled what he fulfilled, whatever the

  17. prophets say, for a reason, so that we can receive redemption. Right.

  18. And he came to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Certain translations

  19. to say, he came to proclaim the favor of the Lord. Right,

  20. the favor of the Lord. Let's go to Isaiah chapter sixty one. Okay,

  21. this is where the scripture came from. Isaiah chapter sixty one. Let

  22. me try and look for it. Having a bit of a challenge in my

  23. Bible, because like when I'm opening just now right, all the somehow I

  24. fully wrongly all the paper folded them. Oh no, Isaiah chapter sixty one.

  25. We're gonna read from verse one to verse eleven. Okay, it says

  26. here Isaiah sixty one. It is written a long time ago before this came

  27. out. The spirit of the Lord is upon me because the Lord has anointed

  28. me to preach good tidings to the poor, good tidings, the good news.

  29. Okay, you know that song. It's a Christmas song, right,

  30. good tidings all right forgots the unity. I hear something were honey, it's

  31. okay, Um, he has sent me to heal the broken heartut, how

  32. many of you here a broken hearted You're sad, you're broken hearted. Yesterday

  33. you got someone dumped you yesterday. Oh ouch. Right to proclaim liberty to

  34. the captives and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. While

  35. opening up prison, Okay later, don't worry, We're good. Deep into

  36. what that means. Right, it's a very poetic to proclaim the acceptable acceptability

  37. of the Lord. I'm gonna read on and the day of the vengeance of

  38. our out war starting to get dark, to comfort all who mourned, to

  39. console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, while

  40. super Boy thick Man, beauty for ashes. All the English Lit students please

  41. go and explain what that means. Beauty for ashes, the all of joy

  42. for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. You're feeling

  43. heavy this morning, go once to give you a garment of praise. That

  44. they may be called trees or righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that

  45. he may be glorified. Do you know what God used trees as an example?

  46. Because do you know, once you plant a tree, you cannot move

  47. on now? And do you know a tree that's planted will stay there for

  48. everyone, very very long, the same place again and again. Sun go

  49. up, rain, sun come down. At night. The tree is still

  50. there, you know, planting planted. The tree cannot say ah for Mola,

  51. I want to go somewhere else. They're stuck there, you know.

  52. And they shall rebuild the old ruins. They shall raise up the former desolations,

  53. and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.

  54. Do you know that God called us his people to come and rebuild things in

  55. this fallen world? That's what God call us to do. He didn't call

  56. us to come here and be like the world. He didn't come here callers

  57. to come here and follow what the world says. He came here to call

  58. us to be a different thing, right to build it differently. Strangers shall

  59. stand and feed your flocks, and the sons of the foreigners shall be your

  60. planmen and your wine dresses. But you shall be named the priests of the

  61. Lord. They should call you the servants of our God. You shall eat

  62. the riches of the gentiles, and in their glory you shall boast. Instead

  63. of your shame, you shall have double honor. And instead of confusion,

  64. they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore, in their lands they shall possess

  65. double everlasting joy shall be. There's a promise from the Lord. No are

  66. you feeling that you're not getting double of everything? You're not getting one thing,

  67. maybe even less. Maybe you feel like you know you're not being treated

  68. fairly. For I the Lord love justice, I hate robbery for burnt offering.

  69. I will direct their wealth in truth, and will make with them and

  70. everlasting covenant. Their descendants shall be known among the gentiles, and their offspring

  71. among the people. All who see them shall acknowledge them that they are the

  72. posterity whom the Lord has blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord.

  73. My shoul, My soul shall be joyful in my God. For he has

  74. clothed me with the garments of salvation. He has covered me with the rope

  75. of righteousness. Does this sound familiar? He has clothed me with the garment

  76. of salvation? Who did that for you? Who did that for you?

  77. Who of you with the government of salvation? Who covered you with the rope

  78. of righteousness? Are you righteous here? Church? Are you writers here this

  79. morning? How many of you dare say I am righteous? I've not done

  80. anything wrong. I've never lied, I've never cheated. I'm perfect. Jesus

  81. came and clothe you. Amen, as the bridegroom decks himself with ornaments,

  82. and as a bride adorns herself with jewels. For as the earth brings forth,

  83. it's but as the garden causes the things that are sown in it to

  84. spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth

  85. before all nations. This is God's promise. Why is the rest of the

  86. scripture significant for us? Because it is what happens after before what happens before.

  87. Jesus declared when he read the scripture that he's the spirit of the Lord

  88. is upon him. Because us, the spirit of the Lord has anointed him

  89. to do everything and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. Christ fulfill

  90. everything that he needed to do. Praise God. He fulfilled everything. Because

  91. he fulfilled everything, we have the confidence here to preach the word of God

  92. knowing that everything has been done. Do you know that you don't have to

  93. work for your salvation? That's why we say salvation is a gift that you

  94. can receive. Right, But there's a catch. Do you know that everything

  95. has a catch that there's no free lance that guys. Sorry, yeah,

  96. I know people say salvation it's free. Actually it's not free. You know,

  97. you're paid for. But as a catch, let me share you the

  98. cash this morning. Okay. I hope you guys are okay with that.

  99. He's fulfilled. He's followed through what he needed to do. He's done it

  100. all, and he's conquered it all, so we don't have to Jesus did

  101. everything ready on, guys, you don't need to heal sickness that he's done

  102. it. You don't need to work hard too. He's done a lot of

  103. things. Really. The only thing I think, I'm sure here before,

  104. the only thing that God requires us to do is forgive others. That's it.

  105. If you read the Bible, that's the only thing he puts a requirement

  106. there. Please forgive them. Then I can forgive you, because if you

  107. don't forgive the people around you, I cannot forgive you. That's why he

  108. said that's the only thing we need to do. Everything else is done.

  109. Really, Okay, don't worry, I'm getting to a point. Follow me

  110. because He's done it all and we don't have to. Therefore, we are

  111. more than conqueress through Christ Jesus. Amen, we are more than conquerss.

  112. Do we believe that? Do we live like that? Romans eight thirty seven

  113. thirty nine These are our rely on XTV Romans eight thirty seven thirty nine,

  114. hold on something happened. Okay, maybe I'm getting old all this text stuff

  115. like. Yet in all these things we are more than conquersus through Him who

  116. loves us, conquers through congress ourselves. No, no, no, true

  117. Jesus. It has to be true Jesus, our guys, when we preach

  118. this, when I preach this, it is true Christ. Let's establish that.

  119. Not true, anything else not true. I won't use other names,

  120. Okay, but true Christ, true, Him who loved us. Next,

  121. for I am persuaded. And neither death nor life, nor angels, nor

  122. principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor

  123. height, nor death nor any other creative things shall be able to separate us

  124. from from what, from the love of God, which is in Christ,

  125. Jesus our Lord. Okay, let me establish this for those of you who

  126. are writing notes. If you are by see a lot of you are not

  127. probably or memory is very good. Today's message is Jesus King. Let me

  128. repeat that again. Jesus is king. I think I need say it again.

  129. Jesus is king. Some of you are still not getting it. You're

  130. still not getting it. You know why. I don't blame you. You've

  131. been Christian all your life. You have been and you hear all this jargon,

  132. a lot of laws, king of kings, Jesus King, Jesus Christ.

  133. But the internalization of understanding that Christ is king is not there. Understand

  134. That's why sometimes you can live the way we live because although the truth and

  135. the fact is Jesus king, we don't feel he's king by the way we

  136. live. You don't and I fall under that as well, because of the

  137. Christian for a long time. But Jesus is king, He's king. Why

  138. is it significant that Jesus is king, he is king that came to conquer.

  139. I know, we have pictures of Jesus holding the lamb, stroking the

  140. lamb, wearing white all the time. We have a cool beard he probably

  141. used heading shoulders the side. His head looks so good, long hair.

  142. Right, that's the portrayal of Jesus. Right. He came to conquer and

  143. set people free. Have you watched those like well not the modern worm movies,

  144. but the older worm movies, the worm where they have like swords and

  145. like a lot of the rings. You know, have you seen, you

  146. know, the scene where someone is captured and they've been we're settler captured in

  147. the prison for the long time and then like you know, god Beard,

  148. I don't know why they only show guys and because you guys can grow beard,

  149. they don't show ladies. And in those prison they only show guys.

  150. Those prison god Beard tattered, you know, clothes and they've been saying there

  151. for like forty years, twenty years, so many, so long, so

  152. long they've been there until they were forgotten. And then and it's a kingdom,

  153. right, it's a castle men in this and then what happens is that

  154. you have the hero or the hero you or whoever come and then they come

  155. and then they attack the castle and then they free the prisoners. You have

  156. that perspective. Have you seen us movies before? If not, please go

  157. and find something and what you can get an idea? Do you know Jesus

  158. came to do that for you? Do you know that when you're living in

  159. this world, you're living under this kingdom, because you are governed by the

  160. rules of this kingdom. And when Christ came, he came to redeem you.

  161. He came to save you. He came to set you free from the

  162. bonden day. Just sorry. In a Christian jargon from the chain. Do

  163. you know addiction is a chain? Addiction is a chain that you cannot see.

  164. Do you know that Jesus came to set you free? You know?

  165. But set you free so that you can go back? No, no,

  166. set you free so that you can submit. He came to free people from

  167. their bondages mentally and physical. Bondage mental and physical. He came to free

  168. us from living a life of sin and destruction. Let me tell you something

  169. about sin that I've observed in the past. The problem we've seen is that

  170. you will end up in destruction, whether you like it or no, whether

  171. you think no, he will ultimately end um in destruction. And it's not

  172. the moral of the stories of issue. No, we watch those, or

  173. this is the moral of the story. This person's greedy. After a while,

  174. he will lose everything you know, feel good? Moral? No,

  175. No, I can even real life, a real life sin, and the

  176. lives of sin always end Some in destruction, destruction of life. You know,

  177. eventually if he's not dealt weaver in the early stage, right after a

  178. while, it becomes bad. No, I give you this perspective. Have

  179. you seen family members and that cannot stand each other, cannot be in the

  180. same room for years, and you don't understand why that's sin, unforgiveness,

  181. sin, all those small i's. Okayla is a white lie, Ikla,

  182. it's just something, Ikla, we're not dealt with, we're not confessed to

  183. Christ. You will end up in destruction after a while, free from living

  184. a life of lies and deception. Well, this isn't this isn't quite hard

  185. to share our den You know the world now and even the I know the

  186. young one's, the teams are. They're very big on authenticity, basically authentic

  187. with being Please be real with me, okay, Basana's can't handle the truth

  188. when you're real? You know, we want people to be real with us,

  189. but can we be real with other people? Cann't know. It's not

  190. easy to be real now, it's not easy to be authentic, but we

  191. want it. But do you know that it's not just about being authentic,

  192. but it's about speaking truth and do you know who has the truth? Christ?

  193. Only Christ has the truth? Being authentic and being real will just be

  194. real. But there's no end reason. I'll just be real, just be

  195. real. I'm real. Do you know that? People you said, als,

  196. oh this is me. I can never change. I'm real to you.

  197. That means that this is mean. Do you know this is what the

  198. world teach us down? I'm like that one. Do you know what that

  199. means? That means you cannot change no matter what you do, right,

  200. you always feel at that. I don't believe that, because I believe that

  201. people can grow. What is the truth? The truth is, Yes,

  202. feel like that, but eventually you can grow. This is why we're big

  203. on disapper ship. Yes, Peter denied Jesus three times, but eventually when

  204. he was put as a matter, he didn't run away at no. He

  205. said no, please the Baleka and the cross, because I am not worthy

  206. to die the way Jesus die. Wow, the amount of gods that guy

  207. has from someone who ran away because they say, hey, aren't you No,

  208. No, not me, not me, someone who was a coward when

  209. the other way isn't at growth? Isn't that authentic? Still the same person

  210. still real. Let's not. Let's not be deceived. Thinking that authenticity only

  211. is true no is different on our guys. Being real is good, but

  212. also not the truth, and the truth hosite you free. I hope you

  213. guys are catching me. So Christ came to do that. He came to

  214. shed light in the situation. He came to show the you know, you

  215. know how, you know, like sometimes right, I feel right okay,

  216. maybe maybe I'm old enough and I know enough okay. And some people will

  217. feel this way, especially those who are older, white older, because older,

  218. you eat more salt than people. You rise to our case, stuff

  219. like that, and then you're like, he actualia this problem. Like they

  220. just need to say sorry, la, and you'll be done. It is

  221. so simple if they were real to each other. No sorry, let me

  222. change that. It is so simple if they will speak truth to each other,

  223. not be real. The real is they hate each other, but truth

  224. says if they patch it up, they don't have to live like that anymore.

  225. I hope you guys are following my analogies. So Christ came to remove

  226. the deception. Do you know that so much reception? Now? You know,

  227. well, so much so much reception. We like to hide things,

  228. and it's so natural, right, it's so natural for us to do it.

  229. He came as to free us from living a life of hurt and depression

  230. or pass it away. And sometimes when you talk about words like depression,

  231. right, it is a mental state. You know. When I was growing

  232. up, yes, I know that people went through those challenges or so,

  233. but why now suddenly we got more mental problems that can only be solved by

  234. mental way, sir? Isn't it Isn't mental issues have to do it our

  235. mind and our heart. Doesn't God talk about our mind and our heart?

  236. Doesn't the Bible teach us how to deal with these things. Isn't our spiritual

  237. being a way to solve some of these issues? Wouldn't love solft depression?

  238. It's not mental thing, you know, it's an emotional thing, right,

  239. So Christ came to do that. He came to free us from living a

  240. pointless life with no vision. That's why he came to do recovery of sight

  241. to the blind. Do you know that someone who has no purpose in life

  242. is very depressing one? You know, a person that has no direction in

  243. life? They in the out after a while, right, you'll feel real

  244. like, oh, man, what is the meaning of this? Or?

  245. But do you know have you seen people who are driven? Oh? My

  246. goodness, it's so exciting to be around them. They got dreams, they

  247. got desires. They want to do this, they want to do that.

  248. You know you talk to them most you're excited. You saw. I want

  249. to join you. People who are driven, people who are purpose, who

  250. can give us purpose? Christ can give us purpose. Christ can give you

  251. a unique purpose. And He came to grant us God's favor. Let me

  252. talk a little bit about f Why is God's favor important? I have ever

  253. thought about it before. There is something I learned when I was really young,

  254. Okay, when I was a teenager, growing as a teenager in church.

  255. You know, when I go through life even now, I constantly seek

  256. favor of the Lord. What do you mean by that? Such a such

  257. an abstract concept, favor of the Lord. Well, let me give you

  258. the This the definition of favor for a scare I found from online. Okay,

  259. favor to regard with special kindness or approval, to treat with partiality or

  260. favorite, is a favorite, disiness, bad will past. You shouldn't use

  261. that here, Right to support, to advocate, to perform a favor for

  262. to oblige to help to facilitate one you one that from God, that he

  263. will oblige you, that he will facilitate you, that he will look at

  264. you and say, this is I'm biased to this. I'm biased to doctor

  265. Jason than other people. Don't you want that from God? I want that

  266. from God? Oh, but not not fair biased on just what means he

  267. won't be no, no, no, no, no favor from the Lord.

  268. I can be on everybody here. No, you know that, but

  269. you gotta sick his favor. How to sick favor? I give you a

  270. rest in my example, I got two kids. I think it's I think,

  271. uh, it's not very hard for him to sick my favor. They

  272. just got to follow up that. He says that he happy that you give

  273. them favor. No, I'm serious, but do you know, as God's

  274. children is very difficult follow up. God says, it's simple to understand,

  275. but it's not easy, right because we want our things. Mah, we

  276. want our things. Actually not where I have to follow God's favor. No,

  277. follow his word, right, follow God's word, and when we get

  278. the favor of the Lord, we will be more blessed. This is one

  279. form of favoritism we should pursue. Okay, any other form of favoritism,

  280. don't pursue. You only pursue this God's favor. And I have a question

  281. for us this morning. Are used setting yourself to receive favor from the Lord?

  282. Do you know that you have to set yourself? I constantly pray and

  283. ask Lord, please tell me if there's anything I'm doing we should move me

  284. from your favor because I don't want to do anything without your favor. I

  285. don't want to build this chest you out your favor because I do in my

  286. own strength. I'm going to fail, fail, fail, fail terribly because

  287. I don't have supernatural power. I'm a normal human being. Right when I

  288. meet my guys. I share this many times. When I meet the guys

  289. that I have the opportunity to disciple, half the time I don't know what

  290. to tell them. I know half the problem, like, oh, how

  291. to explain to this guya? You know half? And I ask the Lord,

  292. Lord, please grant me your favor so that when I speak to them,

  293. they will understand not from me, but from you, so that you

  294. can give them the insight to grow to overcome this challenge that they face.

  295. So far, so good, lad, so far my the ones that I'm

  296. thinking care ils okay, so I can't recognize, thank God. But honestly

  297. I cannot beware. Honest half the time, I cannot remember why I told

  298. them. They will remind me, you know, oh you know, pursue

  299. you say these are there? Like really, oh wow, I should write

  300. that down. Favor from the Lord. Do you know that x PJ has

  301. the favor from the Lord? You know why I'm not look at where we're

  302. meeting. We'll be meeting here for very long ready, you know pla Okay,

  303. sorry, I really complain, ready waiting for them to do something.

  304. But if I tell you the testimony of how we're able to meet here,

  305. you will be amazed. And PJ Rental not where cheaper. That's why I

  306. found out more expensive than care. But God's favor, God's favor. We

  307. gotta continuously sick for God's favor. Don't just sick for the blessing, blessing

  308. her his sting, only sick for his favor. When you seek for his

  309. favor, he will give you better. When you sick for his favor,

  310. he will give you everything amen. When we rely on our own strength and

  311. matters, we will fail. We will fail. No, I disagree that

  312. passed, Yeah don't. I will continue my statement. Well, we might

  313. not fail to get what we want, which is actually quite scary. Lie

  314. you think about it. If you rely on your own strength, you will

  315. get what you want. You know, you will get what you want.

  316. I heard this very interesting quote by Henry Ford. If you think you cannot,

  317. you cannot, and if you think you can, you can. Quite

  318. interesting. Yeah, you will not fail to get what you want, which

  319. is actually quite scary, because what we want might not be what is good

  320. for us. Parents. You notice, you notice, you notice clearly what

  321. your kids ask from. You know, not everything is good for the man.

  322. One more, God with us. God has what is good for us.

  323. So don't walk this life without him. Zechariah for six says, not

  324. by mine nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord.

  325. Let me give you this other example. So remember mentioned Jesus king. Let's

  326. remember that Jesus is king. Why is it significant because a king has rules,

  327. a king has influenced, a king has culture, are we following his

  328. culture? Don't be deceived just because you're in a church doesn't mean you're a

  329. Christian or we're stronger that statement. Just because you're in a car garash doesn't

  330. mean your a car someone else you said. Let me give you another perspective

  331. about relying on the Lord and relying on our own strength. Okay, let's

  332. give some examples. So let's look at our way. When I say,

  333. oh, I'm not talking about your all. I'm talking about the world,

  334. our people, our way of coping with challenges. What our way, well,

  335. some words I don't want to use. That coming our self coping coping

  336. mechanism that is very very often see nowadays, that's our way addictions coping mechanism.

  337. Why I say coping mechanism, nobody comes into it for fun one Now

  338. most of the time, right when when you when you want to do something,

  339. you're trying to mask something else. Guilty pleasures and other coping mechanism,

  340. strass city eat law, strassity shop law. These are all human coping mechanisms.

  341. Please don't feel feel offended on when I say this. These are all

  342. seen related it and sin was introduced by the devil because he is here to

  343. still kill and destroy, as say in John ten ten. So if we

  344. rely on our own strength as humans. We are ultimately going to do things

  345. like this. How many of you are naturally human? La feel like you

  346. want to come for prayers? Every one? Don't lift up your hands when

  347. you're having problems. You automatically, Oh, I think I need to pray

  348. more. None of us no meal? So I am it? When I

  349. got promised, right, I will either go and sleep another coping mechanism,

  350. human coping mechanisms. Right, when we rely on ourselves. Let's talk a

  351. little bit about sin. What is sin? Sin is a word did or

  352. desire in opposition to the eternal of God. Or, as scripture says,

  353. sin is the transgression of the lot. Why another big words? Sorry?

  354. Going against God? That is sin? Wow. So when we try and

  355. cope with our problems and we revert to all these things, we are sinning

  356. because God never wants you to hurt yourself. God never wants you to rely

  357. on something else. God never wants you to do all these other things because

  358. he has a better way, Because the path of sin will eventually lead to

  359. destruction. And whose influence are we following? Again, I'm not saying that

  360. you want to He's not about one or not one. It's about if we

  361. follow this path, eventually it will end up here. That is my caution

  362. for you. Don't follow that path anymore. Find another way, find Jesus

  363. way, because he came to give freedom. That's why we got to cry,

  364. guys that Jesus is king. He came and he overcame sin the significance

  365. of Christ in our lives so that we can be righteous. We can be

  366. righteous through him through following his ways and submitting to his will as our king.

  367. This is why understanding that Jesus king is important, because king has lost

  368. no that we have to follow. But I know sometimes we our approach to

  369. Christ. What do we seem as Jesus is my friend? How do you

  370. treat your friend? You know something got to think about things like Jesus your

  371. father. How do you treat your father? How does your father treat you?

  372. Understanding Christ as your dad now gives you a good perspective of how much

  373. he cares for you. Understanding Christ as your friend tells you that Jesus aren't

  374. going to force you on. No, he's not gonna be a parent.

  375. He's going to give you time. He's gonna reveal things. You know,

  376. he said once my service, now, my friends, why because he wants

  377. to partner. He wants to reveal things to you. Understanding Christ as King

  378. gives us the confidence to have authorrity to what Christ has in this world.

  379. You'll catch that. Not you'll catch that not. I hope all you catch

  380. that. No one can be made righteous with his own work, but only

  381. true Christ Jesus. You can try, but you're gonna fail. Let's see

  382. God's way of coping. No, I talk about men'stay of coping. Now,

  383. let's talk about God's way of coping. Okay, because we gotta learn.

  384. We gotta learn that He's all from God's wader. Problems three five six

  385. says what what does he say? Probbs three five six. Trust in the

  386. Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all

  387. your ways, acknowledge him, and he shall die right your path. Easy

  388. to say, hard to do. Trust God law correcta. Oh, so

  389. many things going wrong? Trust God law. It's so stressful. Trust in

  390. the Lord with all your heart, and don't trust your mind. Don't trust

  391. your stress, don't trust the problem. Trust him in all your ways.

  392. Acknowledge him Lord by having stress here, can you please come and do something.

  393. Acknowledge you wants acknowledge or not acknowledge merings. Bring him in the picture,

  394. you know, like Hower, let's say lah, every dealing from now

  395. on worth, every dealing Pastor Elving has every conversation past elbing half I acknowledge

  396. my wife. How would that look? Like she's gonna loaugh because she's like,

  397. he will never do it. You want to go on me, I'll

  398. say, hold on, and you talk to my wife first. Now bring

  399. her there. She's there with me in a meeting, you know, every

  400. important situation, she's there. That's acknowledgement. Now right, that's acknowledgement.

  401. Acknowledge the Lord. Bring him in the picture. When you're doing a business

  402. deal, you bring in a picture. Not when you are going through that

  403. problem, you bring him in the picture. Not you pray first or not.

  404. When you're going through that problem in life and no one else can help

  405. you, you ask God? Not or you gotta talk to your friend first.

  406. Who you acknowledge first? I acknowledge my mom, my dad, my

  407. friend. No acknowledge God in all your ways? Right, this God's way

  408. of coping. Don't you see the interesting thing? Our way of copying is

  409. relying on ourselves. God's way of coping is rely on him. God Swe

  410. of coping is Please, don't take responsibility over your problem. I will take

  411. care of it. Okay, you don't believe. Let me go to another

  412. scripture Matthew eleven, twenty eighth thirty. What does he say? Okay?

  413. Matthew eleven, twenty eighth thirty, Come to me, all you who labor

  414. and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke

  415. upon you and learn from. If I am gentle and only in heart,

  416. you will find rest in your souls. For my yoke is easy, and

  417. my burden is like. Okay, let me go into it. So go

  418. to God and he'll give you rest. You stress, Go to God,

  419. He'll give you rest. You stress, you're having challenges, You want to

  420. cope with something, Go to him. He'll give you rest. Take his

  421. yo. What does his yok mean? I always don't understand. Is you

  422. know you know your ister? What's that word? Your is when you put

  423. on top of the kurbaan? Okay, sorry, the oxen to pull the

  424. thing? That's why yo is right? Oh Lord, please please us In

  425. parables, taking his yok means humbly do his will and allow him to guide

  426. and direct our lives. Why should we do it past Alvin? Because he

  427. is gentle and humble in heart, and he will give rest for our souls.

  428. Do you know that people who understand his truth Christians most of the time,

  429. because this is what the Bible teaches us. Have you met a brother

  430. and sis say in Chrysa that no matter, it's the craziest time in your

  431. company, in your life, and some of you are like that, it's

  432. the craziest timer by your peace one. In fact, you're smiling. People

  433. think you're crazy. Why because you know God is there, Because you know

  434. no matter what happens, you just need to follow in God's leading and he

  435. will save you. That's why in the Bible it says in some swinny try,

  436. though I walk through the value of the shadow of death, I will

  437. fear no evil death. No, I will fear no evil because your rod

  438. and your staff will comfort me. Is God in your situation. This is

  439. God's coping mechanism for you. So don't trust yourself, trust in the Lord,

  440. don't rely on your wisdom, allow him to guide you. Do you

  441. know that God's definition enough love is the definition of love that we desire give

  442. you ano perspective first contents the team. It's the love that is awesome love

  443. his passion. Love is kind, lovely song suffering. Right, But do

  444. you know the world proper gets what love? The world stuff is ready for

  445. now. The world stuff is very fleshly, very well. I see this

  446. guy, I like, you know what I yesterday I watch a love story

  447. with the we sounded teens. We were laughing at how fast the girl like

  448. the boy and then she never end me now until the end. You know,

  449. you're so weird low We're like, you know. One of them said,

  450. actually, why they make it to a love story because we don't see

  451. any connects. I'm like, yeah, you know, it's interesting movie.

  452. But that's the world's love. You don't need to know them very well.

  453. When you just get together. That's what the world teaches you. And then

  454. you come to ex chech you do pre see huh pretty quiva so strict.

  455. Then you do what pretty much previous concerning three not three? Six months are

  456. so long? One year? You're crazy. You're trying to control my life,

  457. is it? Do you know the amount of broken marriages out there right

  458. now? Do you know how sad is it because a lot of the broken

  459. marriages called kids know what kind of love? Are we looking for? God's

  460. way or men's way? We've got to decide today, guys, do you

  461. know that where we were young, things were simpler? No, I'm thinking

  462. about reflecting about life? Are reflecting about you know? When I grew up?

  463. When can I can? I can I let you know something? Yes,

  464. it is more complicated things. I'm so sorry it is more complicated.

  465. Last time life was easy. Last time we've got no headphones on. When

  466. you're on the phone, called the person, say you're going to be there

  467. at three o'clock. You will be there at three o'clock. Because if you're

  468. not there three o'clock, your friends got away for you for two hours and

  469. you're gonna feel bad the next day. So you have to be a person

  470. of your word. Now on the way, where are you still sleeping?

  471. So, yes, it is more complicated now life it's more complated. The

  472. Internet has make things even more complicated. So much information out there. Imagine

  473. information that is given to people who cannot manage information or habbists. They think

  474. they know, but actually they don't really know. So yes, it is

  475. more complicated. You know a lot more things, don't know where to go

  476. a back. Parents also where stressful. You have to shood your kids and

  477. you know that it's going to come one way another way. Yes, it's

  478. more complicated. I remember the times when I was a young person. My

  479. life was simpler, but it was very complicated. Also, I wanted things

  480. that were simple. I want a living family. I wanted peace in my

  481. family. I wanted not to have to worry about money all the time now,

  482. but unfortunately I had strife in the family. Money was always an issue.

  483. My family was loving, but it's very complicated. But Prescott, I

  484. discovered who Jesus is and the things he taught us. And because I had

  485. a complicated family that didn't make sense, Church made sense. Coming to the

  486. church makes sense, Prescott, so I stayed close to church and God's people

  487. when things didn't make sense. Jesus made sense because his message never changes.

  488. My family message always changed, change change, change, change the world.

  489. Message always changed one minute, this one is that. But do you know

  490. that Jesus message never changed. He's old school, lah, his message never

  491. change. No, he's still preaching God loves you. We're still preaching that

  492. we're still preaching Jesus King, so long ready me to remind Yeah, he

  493. still is. It was simpler and with the simple we practice the simple things.

  494. I remember firmently reading God's word, getting involved in things that would build

  495. my spirit, prayer, worship, and study of God's word. The fellowship

  496. and the friends were a bonus. Of course. The sad thing is that

  497. a lot of friends might have lost their way as they grew up. Do

  498. you know their life is actually very simple, but we like to complicate it

  499. as men? Do you know that Jesus kept things very simple, but people

  500. keep trying to complicate things super complicated. Men like to complicate things. Every

  501. time there's something I'm gona get that, I always think about it or this

  502. is every guy men? Men do wanna because Jesus way is very simple,

  503. I'm going to keep it simple and I don't have a lot of time.

  504. Friends, allow Jesus to be a king this morning. Allow him to be

  505. a king. Clay him as your king, and surrender to him. Surrender.

  506. Maybe we cannot claim Jesus, says our king, because there are other

  507. kings or strongholds in our lives which we have not torn down yet. Do

  508. you know it's very difficult when there's a country with two kings, civil war

  509. will happen. The country is not going to, you know, be blessed.

  510. They always fight on maybe for some of us here we are the king.

  511. That's why it's hard for Jesus to be king because I am king.

  512. I mean, you might not proclaim that it's okay you don't have to wear

  513. a crown. You know that the Bible says that we do not fight against

  514. fresh and blood. If Visions six Child says for we are not fighting against

  515. flesh and blood enemies. So even when I'm sharing some of these things,

  516. I know it might be hard to Yeah, but there's no condemnation in Christ.

  517. It is not you. It is the influence and the thought processes that

  518. we have. We are not fighting against flesh and blood. But we're fighting

  519. against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against powers in this dark

  520. world, and against evil spirit in the heavenly places. You know that when

  521. we recognize that the battle we face could possibly be spiritual battles, it also

  522. helps us to make better strategic decisions in our work of faith. A very

  523. simple example I can give you if if you like horror movies all the time

  524. and you cannot step stop watching horror movies. Oh you know it's no,

  525. it's spiritual, guys. Rubbish in, rubbish out, rubbish in, rubbish

  526. out. What have you been feeling your mind with the world of God or

  527. other things? We've got to decide today who we want to follow, which

  528. king we want to follow. You cannot be uncertain. You need to be

  529. sure. That's why I had to proclaim that Jesus is king. Second Contingents

  530. ten, Chapter three, four verse says, we are human, but we

  531. do not which war as humans do. I'm not against any of you here,

  532. seriously, no, nothing against you, guys. We use God's mighty

  533. weapons, not worldly weapons. Doctor Jason, you're horrible. Leave the chest.

  534. That's that's very worly. He's an awesome guy. Anyway. We use

  535. God's mighty weapons, not worly weapons. Do you know that we have a

  536. tendency to use worly weapons when we don't like each other. We don't like

  537. the face. It's all fleshly stuff, guys. But we use God's weapon

  538. to do what to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false

  539. arguments. I don't agree. I don't like this word. Sorry, ya,

  540. I hear that a lot nowadays. I don't agree. You don't agree

  541. what God's word? You were careful? No, guys, sometimes it's not

  542. just about agreement, it's about alignment. If you hold on so strongly to

  543. your beliefs, are I want to challenge you? Where is your beliefs from?

  544. Is it the word of God? It is word of God. Please

  545. hold strongly. But we were careful. When you're in God's house and you

  546. start speaking words like that, please use Scot's word to be the mirror.

  547. Don't use what you hear someone from outside say, don't use what you hear

  548. someone that you like. No, don't use that. Use God's word whatever

  549. you hear, even what I'm sharing now, please use Goodt's word. Use

  550. Scot's word. Don't just pass away and say no. Please don't do that.

  551. I'm a mere human being. I might say something's wrong here as though

  552. I hope not okay, But use God's word. How do we allow Jesus

  553. to be king in our lives? Well, we've got to break down the

  554. strong horse. What a strong hold things that edify itself against God? Absolute

  555. in our lives which goes against God's kingdom. Do you know that that you

  556. can have that? Do you know that he can absolutely? Do you know

  557. that men? We can have vows that we make. Oh, I will

  558. only do this, and I will never do this nowadays, I don't.

  559. I try not to live like that anymore already because a lot of things I've

  560. say in the past that I will never do, I'm doing now. So

  561. we're careful. Now. I won't dare do that. Unless it's God's word,

  562. then I will never. If it's God's word that I will never.

  563. But it's my own thoughts. I won't be so quick to make strong statements.

  564. We've got to break down those strong holes. And there are three things

  565. that we need to do. Can I encourage us? First, surrender to

  566. him as king. You gotta surrender. Why surrender? Surrender? Okay a

  567. lort? You take over because because it's very difficult to and you think no,

  568. no, you surrender and you allow God to move. Is it a

  569. decision that you'll make today? Secondly, submit, guys, Submission is a

  570. word that people don't like. Submit. Uh yeah, submit, submit to

  571. God's ways and commit commit to him. You want to experience goodness and gracious

  572. in your life. You want to experience freedom, You've gotta summit and commit

  573. and finally be safe from destruction. When we surrender to God and we will

  574. submit to his ways, we will be safe. You will be saved.

  575. Friends, Jesus is King and Heaven rules. You've got to hear the truth

  576. from the world of God. We've got to receive it. Be very,

  577. very careful or opinions, be very careful. In this world has so much

  578. opinions, so much, so much things that entice us, false arguments.

  579. Fight for what you know. There's a scripture and let me share this Romans

  580. fourteen cent. Do you know that in the early Church you also had challenges

  581. like this? Romans fourteen seventeen says, And when I read this, I

  582. cannot image. I cannot believe that they had they had to produce here,

  583. the Kingdom of God is not eating or drinking. Huh. Let me repeat

  584. that, the Kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but righteousness and

  585. peace and join the Holy Spirit. Let me give you a perspective. Do

  586. you know that you read Romans fourteen you read before that you were reading now

  587. that they're arguing about food and drink. How ridiculous is that? How ridiculous

  588. that we can fight about things are in the house of God? Are that

  589. is so meaningless? Oh? Yeah, earlier I in my beauty sleep,

  590. friends, they are more important things to fire about, righteousness, truth,

  591. Christ in our lives. Those are the things that matter. But then we

  592. fire about all Oh no, this music, their music. Come on,

  593. guys, Let's keep the main thing. The main thing. Why's the main

  594. thing? Jesus King, So all submit to him. All submit to him

  595. as a leadership. We submit to him. We submit to Christ. Jesus.

  596. Then God, do you know that we submit? Lord? You lead

  597. us? And sometimes the Lord will lead you to do things that you're like.

  598. Oh I how to explain people? Why punches expull? We submit to

  599. God and God late and we do it. Long submit, friends, My

  600. krashman falls this morning. I hope I've established that Christ came. He came

  601. to conquer, and true he's conquering. He can set us free. But

  602. we have a choice today if we want to surrender to him. It's up

  603. to you. We have a choice to say today, to say, Lord,

  604. I surrender and submit my life. If there's any area of my life

  605. you know strongholds, right, I would challenge all of us here because I

  606. will also have to do it myself. Lord, Is there any part of

  607. my life there is a stronghold that I need to submit to you? Is

  608. it my anger? Is it my perception? What is it? Is it

  609. my family life? If you're not careful, sometimes the little foxes can come

  610. and can create things in your life. And we've got to allow God's work

  611. to really say, Lord, I want to be perfect. I want to

  612. be perfect, not perfection as humans says, but I want to be perfect

  613. for the Lord. So clear it. What are the areas that I need

  614. to deal with? Is it submission too? Is it submission to my parents?

  615. Is it honoring my parents? Because when we live a life of favor

  616. from the Lord, we will experience greater things. Amen. We hope you've

  617. been blessed by this message. For more information on our church, please visit
