  1. You're listening to a message to go from axt church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your team. Today. We're gonna do a bit of study.

  3. I'm gonna do a series on Second Peter. Okay, I'm gonna do

  4. cover Second Peter chapter one. I'm not gonna cover the old entire chapter.

  5. I'm gonna cover the first few parts. It's a very interesting series, a

  6. very short series on each about three chapters. He has a lot to do

  7. about what they called it, false teachers. Who how many of you like

  8. to learn about false teachers? Okay, it's very prevalent, not just false

  9. teachers. We're gonna learn a lot about what they encountered during the Apostle Peter's

  10. time is actually very much encountered in what we have right now in the present

  11. generation. Okay, oh right, turn with me to Second Peter chapter one.

  12. Okay, I'm gonna read a couple of verses here, and then after

  13. that hours start into some introductions. Okay, So Sycomeda. Chapter one,

  14. Verse one says, here Simon Peter, a bond servant and apostle of Jesus

  15. Christ, to those who are obtained like precious faith with us by the righteousness

  16. of God and Savior Jesus Christ. Okay, then I'm going to move on.

  17. It says, yeah, grace and peace be multiplied to you in the

  18. knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as his divine power has given,

  19. has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the

  20. knowledge of Him who call us buying, glory and virtue, by which have

  21. been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises that through these you may be

  22. partakers of the divine nature. Okay. I want you to underline these two

  23. parts here are great and precious promises, and then the other part will be

  24. partakers of the divine nature. Okay. And then the last part says that

  25. having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lass. Okay. Now,

  26. when you read through like that, it will just fly past you feel

  27. it's like, you know, you're just on a highway. You know.

  28. Peter like you know, I don't know why he likes to write in super

  29. long sentences. You know, he doesn't put a full stop. He just

  30. said he will put like ass and he'll put like through. He'll put a

  31. buy a wig that through continue on and on endless in a sentence, you

  32. know. But I will shortly summarize why he speaks their way, why he

  33. puts such an address. Now, Peter at this time knows that he's going

  34. to die. Okay, he's very likely in a prison, and he mentions

  35. later in the chapter there that he will die, and he knows how it's

  36. going to die. He's going to be crucified, and he knows his time

  37. is short. But Peter, and this time is no longer the young Peter.

  38. Imagine if you can imagine yourself twenty years down the road, how would

  39. you look like forty down the road? How many of you like to look

  40. at that? How would you be in forty years time, older, wiser,

  41. I don't know, somewhere retiring. I don't know what would you be

  42. like in forty years. Well, Peter here is in a different place.

  43. He's going to get crucified, totally different environment. But he is not just

  44. another disciple. He is now an elder, and elder means a leader of

  45. the church, gain the one who leads. He's a pastor, he's a

  46. missionary, he's a teacher, and also a prisoner, prisoner to you know,

  47. to the government, but also now also a prisoner to the Lord,

  48. prisoner being being indebted to the Lord. And now he's at this stage here

  49. he sees a lot of different things, but he also sees the danger,

  50. and he sees three dangers. There is actually actively invading the church. And

  51. this church that he's speaking to has three main false teachers, are three main

  52. teachings. They are coming from the false teachers, and they are stirring up

  53. the church like no other, giving a lot of spitting up the congregation.

  54. A lot of people are being deceived, a lot of immoralities, sexual immoralities,

  55. immoralities are being practices being practice, a lot of cultish behavior being done

  56. inside the church as well, and it doesn't look like anything like the church

  57. that you know that Jesus christis envisioned, and he has envisioned as well,

  58. so a lot of these things are happening. You must understand that this is

  59. very scary because during their age is the age of the apostles. The apostles

  60. basically they walk around and then when they preach and deed missions, science and

  61. wonders followed them. Okay, it's like very normal to see a pastor and

  62. then to see the higher by the way, you know, he's healed somebody.

  63. Oh, by the way, he just raised somebody from the dead,

  64. and the dead feller comes from stage and speak them. I don't know how

  65. what kind of fear you will have in your life right now, you have

  66. a different helt of fear. Now different, I'm like tear really you know

  67. bottom that here he's like way much higher there. And when wherever he walks,

  68. science and wonders follow them. There is literally a fear of God that

  69. comes into the city when the apostles come to the city. Even right,

  70. this is a really scared one to know. Okay, but even in you

  71. know, when science and wonders follow him, there are still so many deceptions.

  72. They actually enforced teaching income and what are these three false teaching? So

  73. that I'm going to share with you so that when you read through Second Peter

  74. you will have a bit of context. Okay, why he why he talks

  75. about these things? The first thing, the false the first teaching that invaded

  76. the church was there they don't believe that Jesus is Lord and king. Okay,

  77. funny, isn't it. Christians were supposed to follow Jesus Christ as a

  78. Lord and savior. But yeah, there is a group that are coming out

  79. and teaching Jesus is not King and Lord. They started to doubt whether the

  80. Apostles actually saw Jesus rise from the dead. They start to think that Jesus

  81. made it up. And no, Jesus, Peter and the whole disciples made

  82. this grand, big conspiracy theory. You know, like the book you know,

  83. by this guy Dan Brown, you know about what was the Ready remembered

  84. by Tom Hanks. Man, Jesus didn't die, he know, he rose,

  85. you know, he somehow survived it, and he you know, he

  86. left to France and leave a quiet life, you know, with something with

  87. Mary and sometime we are there or call some messed up stuff and hear I

  88. mean right, No, the Romans, you know, they didn't you know,

  89. weren't there to guard their place, all sorts of thing. No,

  90. and that this theory has been thrown around by many people, even a different

  91. religion as well. I had actually debated, you know, you can go

  92. online, you can check it out. Their many debates whether Jesus actually died.

  93. Now, they first doubted that Jesus rose from the dead. There after

  94. they couldn't prove that. Then they said Jesus never time Okay, So the

  95. Romans introduced a punishment system that did not effectively kill a person. Interesting,

  96. the most tortuous thing, but yet did not kill. How would that look

  97. like for the empire? You know what I mean? Right, it's kind

  98. of interesting. You made it public somewhere, but yeah, the person didn't

  99. die. Okay, you know, maybe you should I go back to the

  100. original way. Okay. So so they they don't believe. They start to

  101. doubt Peter's testimony, the apostle testimony. And when you doubt that all the

  102. letters were the apostles sent to all the churches, because you must understand there

  103. are many writings. Paul was writing, Peter was writing, Matthew was writing,

  104. Luke was writing, James was writing. Okay, and sold about the

  105. churches. Some people say I follow Paul. Some people say I followed Peter.

  106. I followed Matthew. H you got different people for allow different people.

  107. Now these people also do that. Oh I followed this pastor, I followed

  108. this. I don't allow Malaysian want. I only follow you as pastors,

  109. US pastors Scamore or nineteen a US pastor. I are old school already must

  110. follow Australia Australia. I want the pastor drift the youth pastor dress very good

  111. one and uncle biceps and all tight t shirts one and you know the headstyle

  112. or a cool one and ah some of them okay, also with tattoo one

  113. and earrings are so okay? Ah they want more eyes. Hey, I

  114. followed this past I followed these church one because their music is so anointed.

  115. You know, see how people are so flaky, isn't it. But the

  116. time people were following different apostles as well, follow the teaching for allow these

  117. teaching follow these things, but they are understanding there actually all the apostles who

  118. perform great wonders, who actually have signs that followed them all taught the same

  119. thing. Okay, they're all taught the same thing. So because of that

  120. they started having this second false teaching. And why it is that false teaching?

  121. They start to say that in Christian there is total freedom. Okay,

  122. they are total freedom is saying that there is nothing. What that means that

  123. if you've seen right now, there is no judgment. Okay, you can

  124. do whatever you want right now. Go it saved you is in it.

  125. So there's grace. Hey, why why you say that because Paul wrote that

  126. about that. So the people who were in Peter's church were reading Paul's and

  127. said that there is freedom. We don't have to live a holy life anymore.

  128. We just go and they not do whatever we are and then after that,

  129. God Jesus Blood will watch everything clean. Sounds very appealing, isn't it.

  130. It sounds like one and are sounds like children are trying to abuse the

  131. laws of their parents. Gave me right, but there did you say?

  132. Can watch one video? Right? Yeah? And men half an hour?

  133. Yeah, one video, but this one is two and a half hour.

  134. I can watch right. They missed the message you gave me right. They

  135. abuse and pervert the message. Okay, of another apostle. They gave me

  136. right. Christ brought you freedom so that you don't have to go back to

  137. your old ways. But now you are using your freedom to go back to

  138. endouge in your old ways. It's like you're vomited and you you just had

  139. a very bad diarrhea. Do you want to go back to your bad diarrhea?

  140. No? One right, you don't want to go back to your own

  141. vomit. They literally people was talking about going back to their own vomiting.

  142. You don't go bad. You want to move home. You want to eat

  143. clean, you want to eat healthy, you want to leave a good lifestyle.

  144. Gemmin right, because now you are renewed. But people were using their

  145. freedom to indulge in their own sinful nature. They are not converted. They

  146. are converted India speech, but not converted India mine, gemin right. They

  147. say the right thing. They say a conversion, but in their minds are

  148. not converted. Gem In right. There still want they're still desires so much.

  149. Okay, So so the first thing, they don't believe that Jesus is

  150. Lord and king. The second thing, they believe in freedom without consequences.

  151. Okay. The third one, what did they believe it? The third one

  152. they believe that there is no reckoning. Reckoning means what there is no judgment,

  153. There is no consequence. Okay, I talked about freedom. But they

  154. don't believe that there is this final day when the Lord comes and all of

  155. us will be held accountable for every word that we speak and every deed that

  156. we do. You know what I'm saying. There is no final recooning.

  157. So they say, when is the Lord coming? When is the Lord coming?

  158. Twenty thirty fifty sixty years ready, Jesus has not say he's come.

  159. He's not your come. You get me right? And now also we are

  160. how many how many years where they passed more than two thousand years? Ready?

  161. So do you stop believing? Do you, sa Bilian that Jesus will

  162. not come? Well, you might think that a Jesus taking a long time.

  163. But you look at the world right now, why is happening to the

  164. world. Do you think the world is better option with all the nonsense that's

  165. happening, with all the degradations that is happening. You want to choose the

  166. will. But Peter talks about saying, these people think that there is no

  167. reckoning. They are leaving. So when they don't have the proper fear of

  168. the Lord or understanding of truth, they let their lifestyle go out of the

  169. window. You must understand that their lifestyle at that timer, it's not just

  170. their personal choice. Now, their lifestyle at that time is very heavily influenced

  171. by their culture. Okay, Greek culture, Roman culture, Hellenistic culture.

  172. Not just one god, multiple gods. Multiple gods means multiple types of beliefs

  173. and practices are means that you can do whatever you want one or not.

  174. You're just doing a one or two religion, many religions, you know.

  175. And one of the many religions they have is the worship of different gods,

  176. and one of them it's actually the god of Diana. Who have you heard

  177. that before her? About the Goddess of Dinah, wonder woman, a princess

  178. Diana. Okay, no, okay, if you go to Roma, you

  179. won't see Princess Dinah in the dead one another the last or truth doesn't look

  180. like their wine. Okay, far from there. Okay. The Goddess of

  181. Dina is the goddess of not superpower. Goddess of Dinah is the goddess of

  182. futility. Did you realize that it's a goddess of fertility, Fertility for your

  183. crops, fertility for your family. And so they believe in sexual practices,

  184. immoral practices in public. You means that it's like everywhere you go to MBPG

  185. to get a license, you want to buy a house, you want to

  186. pay your summons, you want to buy food. They are Diana worshippers everywhere.

  187. One you know, you know what I mean? A Dina worshippers everywhere

  188. so it was normal for them. Okay. And so people, you see,

  189. all these things are trying to enter into the church, you know,

  190. GA mean right, as trying to enter into the church. Our way of

  191. life versus versus the way of Christ, the way of life versus the way

  192. of Christ is coming in. Okay. And so because of that, Peter

  193. starts by saying that you have obtained okay. He says here a precious faith,

  194. okay, and faith that this faith is a gift. What does this

  195. faith means? That of all these pressures and all these practices by the world,

  196. we choose to believe in Christ. Once you experience Christ, his freedom,

  197. his love, you can never step back because it's so real. You

  198. get mean, right, it's just so real. You hurt the word and

  199. you believe and this faith God has given to you. Now, I mentioned

  200. to you earlier that I ask you to underline two parts here. Okay.

  201. It says here that by the grace of God that we have been given great

  202. and precious promises. Isn't it? God has given us great and precious promises?

  203. Why is that important? You see, when we believe in Christ,

  204. right, we don't just stay where we are. We gotta continue moving forward.

  205. Okay, it's like being safer. If I give you progression, it's

  206. like level one enough. But based on the false teaching that people have,

  207. I'm safe ready, ma, graze has already been given to me. This

  208. is the ultimate level I've achieved. I don't need to do anything already.

  209. I just leave whatever I want, see whatever I want, and God's blood

  210. will wash over me. He came in right, But Peter says, it's

  211. no. You are called for what for growth? For continuous growth? You

  212. get me right? Continuous people like to grow. People have gardens, people

  213. go for a gym, People play game, and they play game as so

  214. they also had to grow one. They don't stay there one. You get

  215. me right? They progress true whatever you want. They're not. I say

  216. that because there are a lot of teens here and they're like, yeah,

  217. my son would love that. Actually, anything you do, you want to

  218. grow one. You want to gain experience, you to grow and because of

  219. that, and because of that, you want to see what's next and what

  220. God has given us to grow? Why is the thing that? Why is

  221. the resources God has given us to grow? Promises? What do you mean

  222. by promises? Why is promises so important? Okay. Why is God's promises

  223. is important? You have believed, but to grow you need God's promises.

  224. Now, how many of you like money? Everybody likes money? Now there

  225. you still have carry a wallet? Oh you are scared? Right now?

  226. I say if it's a tree, question, isn't it pastor just talk about

  227. false teaching? You know you're ask me these questions in a way they do

  228. you like money or not it's a it's a trap? Or no, it's

  229. not a trap. Okay? Do you see? Uh? Probably like five

  230. years ago we hardly use a mobile phone to pay one. So amazing how

  231. much things have changed in just a few years ago. We use papers in

  232. it cash cash like okay, paper is so juveern now okay use cash?

  233. Okay, use cash or gay? How many of you like fifty dollars?

  234. Oh I'm taking it? I'm taking it? Another notchure? Do? Okay?

  235. Make you fly? Okay? All right? See yeah? What does

  236. money actually represent? What does money actually represent? If I take this fifty

  237. ring in and I go to Australia to some random feller and then give him

  238. this much or to use it to buy something, maybe a buy a meal,

  239. will he accept it? Immediately maybe, but most likely not enson here.

  240. But then if I bring you as dollar, would the guy want why

  241. US dollar? You ask dollar, molation dollar? What makes them more valuable

  242. than others? You can say currency conversion? But you think about it the

  243. essence of money. If next time, if I'll teach you guys, make

  244. sure a bit about the history of money, how printed money came about.

  245. You would think the printed money came out from society. No, the first

  246. printed money came from the Mongolian society. Who it will happen it could implement

  247. it because of a big empire. Money basically represents what seeah, it's not

  248. made of fifty dollars worth of value, not this money, but it represents

  249. what promise. Before money was called cash, it was used to be called

  250. what promissory note? Have you heard that term? Before promisory note? They

  251. used to have promissory notes for what? For trade? British India time.

  252. Remember they have promissory notes when you go why do they need a promissory note?

  253. Because you can't be carrying your goal, your chicken, and your cow,

  254. your house around with you. Hey, I carve out this part of

  255. the cow for you. You can't do that you gave me a right.

  256. So instead they need to carry around a form of a promise. Okay,

  257. what the dead promise me? And who promise? Who makes a promise?

  258. Here? Who is it me? I'm not making a promise, I just

  259. carry the promise. The one making the promise is the government. Means that

  260. wherever I take in Malaysia, when I pass it over, you receive a

  261. promise from the government that is worth fifty ring it you get me in right.

  262. So everyone in Malaysia is transacting, operating, leaving their lives based on

  263. the promise that Bank Lagara will guarantee it. You're saying, no, that's

  264. why you put your money in the bank, isn't it because there's a guarantee,

  265. isn't it When we talk about you as when the bank guarantee fails,

  266. the whole banking system called lamps, you know. So when you have money,

  267. it's a guarantee, you know, and you earn enough, you earn

  268. one month already, and the company pays you money, they give you see

  269. a bank account there. Why is that it's a guarantee that you will be

  270. fulfilled. You get me in right. So it's a promise. So but

  271. when I carry Malaysian government promise to an Australian country, they will look at

  272. you. I got my own country's promise. Why will should I use your

  273. country's promises? But I look at you as on want. I want to

  274. know why because their their view different countries promises with different value. I don't

  275. like relations. Currency are always dropping. You know last time three ring?

  276. Get down at four point four right now? While you as do those want

  277. are very good, so they value other people's promises better. Now, now

  278. you take it to our own lives as a Christian life, whose promises are

  279. you really operating on? On the promises of the world or the promises of

  280. God? Does it make sense? Now? You know why you need promises

  281. every day? You don't realize that you live on promises. You study university

  282. and why there's a promise that you will get a job, and to get

  283. a job you will be able to earn and you support yourself. You support

  284. yourself. Your parents want to keep sending your money. Whit parents do that

  285. there's a promise, future promise you don't see. You continue to walk the

  286. path. You get me right, you walk the path. You may be

  287. just like, oh, I don't see the promise. So I rather go

  288. and enjoy my life. Right now, that's a promise that you know,

  289. will you will find for a human purpose meaning satisfaction and there and there you

  290. will have a fulfill like that's a promise or so, but it is that

  291. promise longer lasting? Oh no, ye me right. So everything in life

  292. is works on promises. But God instead saves you from the world into his

  293. marvelous life and he gives you his currency, his promises, so that you'll

  294. be sanctified with the promises of God and you will know to walk and to

  295. walk. The world will offer you one currency, but then God gives you

  296. another one. You say, I choose gods. You choose gods. I

  297. choose gods. You will realize that when you go to heaven, all the

  298. money you earn you go up there. There is no currency exchange counter there.

  299. It's all the billions and billions equals zero. You get me right,

  300. You cannot comport. Okay. So the promises of God's are very important.

  301. Okay, everybody, Okay, so far so we have given a faith,

  302. we are given promises so that we can grow. Now, the third thing

  303. I want to talk about is that God Peter talks about very interesting here.

  304. He talks about calling us to partake of God's divine nature. Wow, such

  305. an interesting quote. Have you how many of you have tried inviting people to

  306. come to church before? Okay, what do you say to them? Hey,

  307. would you like to join our Sunday's service? You know, we have

  308. refreshments, we have a good message where ship you can enjoy as well and

  309. join us for our fellowship. Imagine that you swapped this out with what Peter

  310. is saying, Hey, would you like to come to church and be a

  311. partaker of God's divine nature? Sounds culticius, It sounds a cult. By

  312. the way, you know what, it's a cult. Actually, we're actually

  313. what we're covering is actually cult. False teaching is basically talking about courts.

  314. Know what's a cult? Talking about religions them. But Colt has a big

  315. sports specific meaning. Cult means deviation from what is established, or people might

  316. use the word orthodox. Okay, orthodox means established tradition. Cald means deviation

  317. from what was established. Okay, deviation okay, deviation from tradition, deviation

  318. from the foundation. So there are denominations in the Christianity. We don't call

  319. all of them with they are deviations, but not all of them are cults.

  320. And you don't seem to call cut like that. But from basic fundamental

  321. the pillars that we believe. In the fundamentals, we believe that God is

  322. tree in one. If you believe that, no, Jesus is a second

  323. tier God, Holy Spirit is another tier of God. Oh my goodness,

  324. okay, and then there is a cult. Ready. Some cults believe that

  325. there is not God the Father, there's God the Mother. You know I'm

  326. talking about extremiously true. Some people will say that Jesus is not the God

  327. incarnate. I am Jesus, God incarnate. My world is law. You

  328. must follow me. Give you all your money to me, sell to me

  329. and our world by your eternal happiness. You know. So people will do

  330. this thing. So these are what deviations from what the things they are established,

  331. Okay, deviation from the things they established. So God has given us

  332. what huh, his faith revelation. God has given us promises. Okay,

  333. and these are things so that we are we won't sway to the cultish behavior

  334. or courtish teaching. But it must understand that it doesn't mean you don't need

  335. to go and enter into a cultdown to become a cult like, to have

  336. a cud like behavior. Now even in churches right now, they are cultish

  337. thinking. That's how cuds start. Want to know where they are right now,

  338. and this is happening inside the time right as well. Doesn't mean you

  339. have to start one you are. You just have to be inside there.

  340. You just deviate in your thinking and your belief, you know, from what

  341. was established and given by Jesus Christ, and you already started to have a

  342. coltish behavior. That is why many churches have problems. It's not easy,

  343. you know, they're always wolves. That comes in with cowtish thinking. That's

  344. why Jesus Peter is dealing with these toime of things as well. People who

  345. don't believe that Jesus is Lord. People who believe that total freedom means you

  346. can do anything, even sinning Scottish thinking. That means that they believes that

  347. there is no final judgment. No, you can do whatever you want.

  348. No, these are coltish behaviors happened there but Paul, but Peter calls people

  349. the disciples that the church people to disinteresting to be partakers of God's divine nature.

  350. What does he mean by that? So weird? Are you saying that

  351. God is calling me to become like a Marvel superhero? I can be here,

  352. there, everywhere el at once. Let me tell you, you know,

  353. partakers of God's divine nature. That's not what he means. Okay,

  354. what is? Let me ask you then, what is God's divine nature?

  355. What is God's divine nature that was displayed on the cross. More of all

  356. things that God, our heavenly Father, wants you to know about him,

  357. the nature about him? What does he want you to know? His love?

  358. When God chose to die on the cross, the one thing that he

  359. wants you to know more than anything else. God can be here, there,

  360. everywhere. No, oh, this thing here. But the one thing

  361. that He wants you to know and to partake in is his love and to

  362. ender. And this is why why he talks about love. Histate you became

  363. a Christian, you experience God's love just level one. God gives your promises,

  364. but he shows you also the final stage what you're supposed to be,

  365. the final growth or level that you're supposed to be. And why is that

  366. to finally arrive? Add love, You gave me a right to finally arrive

  367. at love. Jesus came, he lived, and he died to show us

  368. his most powerful define nature, his love, his love that saves us.

  369. He gave me right, that was what he's called. That's why we gotta

  370. grow. We gotta grow in spiritualize so that we can be that perfect love.

  371. So there's a goal for us. So when you became a Christian,

  372. that is a purpose for you to continue growing. That is why when people

  373. be said, you're called to become a particle of God's love. But look

  374. at all the rest of the people, they're just still continuing sinning. They

  375. don't want to love, They want to swindle, you, want to have

  376. sexual immoralities. They are not in their path. You know, I mean

  377. right, that's complete false teaching. Okay, now I know, I got

  378. ten minutes here, I got a quicken a bit here. Okay, all

  379. right, everybody, Okay, so far, okay. So the gis of

  380. it. You are called to grow. Okay, you are called to grow.

  381. Let's move on to verse five. Okay, I'm going to cover five

  382. five more verses then we move on. But also for this very reason,

  383. giving all diligence, okay, add to your faith, virtue virtue, knowledge

  384. to knowledge, self control to self control, perseverance to perseverance, godliness to

  385. godliness, brotherly kindness to the brotherly kindness. While was the last one?

  386. Love? Does it now all complete? The message complained? Now? What

  387. does it? Peter says? Here he's says that now that you know you

  388. are called the parting of God's divine nature. Okay, because for this very

  389. reason you need to give all diligience. What does it mean? To give

  390. all diligience means? Why? Means you gotta make every effort. Okay,

  391. you gotta make every effort. It's like you're studying for studying to pass your

  392. air levels, to enter into universities. Okay, you know you've got there's

  393. one shot to really make a difference in your life and for your family.

  394. For the rest of it, you gotta what it says that you've gotta make

  395. every effort right now. So because the opposite is that, oh, I've

  396. been saved, I give up my effort. I relax, Peter says,

  397. No, you've been says to give all your effort, not your least effort.

  398. A clagens. Are I'm being saved? Then? Goodness? Why past?

  399. Paul say that because if you read they on in the second Peter's right,

  400. he will say that not everybody at the end of the day and during

  401. the end of day sa will run the race or arrive at the finishing line

  402. the same way. Some people will run strong and they enter with a grand

  403. entrance, cheering people will be cheering up. Some people they just they were

  404. like delaying and dealaying, and they saw the doors because they will run and

  405. run and run, and they just barely jumped over and the door just closed

  406. and shaved behind them. They were like, whoa, there's just a groog

  407. of people. And the third group of people are the ones they didn't make

  408. it at all. Yeah, I mean right. That is why he says

  409. that you gotta run. You gotta make every effort, don't so that you

  410. make sure that you not just accord, that you really make it all the

  411. way to the finishing line. God has given you every source. God is

  412. faithful, But you got to run, okay, to reach towards the end

  413. there. So for this reason, giving all diligence, giving all effort,

  414. what did he say, don't just get safe. You got to add virtue,

  415. knowledge, self control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love.

  416. Okay, because of time, I'm not going to go in through every one

  417. of them here because in verse eight, what did he say for if these

  418. things are yours, if you, if you proceed to have inherited all these

  419. things, to demonstrate all these things, to display all these things when you

  420. were young, when you were all it means what and you and you're abounded

  421. with it, You will neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our

  422. Lord Jesus Christ. Means that if you know you have all these things,

  423. you know the Lord, because I told you already. What happens is that

  424. time there were many false teachers, isn't it? So what did what did

  425. they come to do? Peter is not here, He's in jail. Okay,

  426. Paul is not here, he's somewhere else is going to die as well.

  427. And they start to come around into the church telling is telling people I

  428. know the Lord, I have a deep work. I have a very strong

  429. work with God. I know or I've been to China before. I know

  430. I have been to us before. I know the Lord. You can I

  431. mean right, some people will come out I know the Lord. So the

  432. whole church is flood with people who knows the Lord, and everybody in the

  433. church, and the people in the church that starts to to like to gang

  434. up in a group up ready. It's like you know in schools, huh,

  435. people on the day they haddle together. I followed this. I followed

  436. that this guy from Greek one very good, one, this one from Roman

  437. one very very good. You know, people haddle up together and based on

  438. to form an identity of superiority. They said one, no the Lord,

  439. this one, no the Lord, this one, no Lord. We've got

  440. people from Bangsa, We've gone from home clan, we got from PJ.

  441. You know, I say, hey, these people like certainly dressed a certain

  442. kind, eat a certain kind of food, you know, a certain kind

  443. one and a you know, still have that stereotype you on pa. Peter

  444. is saying, all these people have the wrong criteria of determining who knows the

  445. Lord? I tell you who knows the Lord? You do all these things,

  446. all these seven things, and you have final love that loves not just

  447. love you. It's called the acap love, you know, the love from

  448. the Father, unconditional love. You know, if you have that love and

  449. you're abounding it, you get to boast. I don't care where you come

  450. from. I don't care you came from Paul. I don't care you came

  451. from Peter. But if you display all these things, you get to post

  452. you know the Lord. So when he does that, everybody is put to

  453. silence. That is what Peter is trying to do. You don't get to

  454. boast. That doesn't matter whether you're surfing. Worship ministry doesn't when you're surfing

  455. XTV doesn't X kids or whatever, doesn't mean you're a pastor. You serve

  456. for the longest time. If you like all these qualities, you don't know

  457. the Lord. So in a way, I'm gonna when I summarize this match

  458. it. What does it mean? How do you know you are saved?

  459. How do you know that you are safe? People? You're not safer just

  460. by saying a prayer. You know great, you know the Lord, you

  461. experience God. But there's just the beginning. You know, You've got to

  462. make every effort because I tell you, once you get safe, the devil

  463. is gonna put his eyes on you. You know the world is putting on

  464. you. The pressure is like I got saved, but persecution is coming everywhere

  465. You have a target on you, you know, but it's worth running.

  466. And God has given you every race, get every grace, every promises to

  467. get you to the very end. Okay. In verse nine year he says

  468. that for he who lacks these things is shortsighted. All these people who claim

  469. I know the Lord, I know the Lord, but they do none of

  470. these things. These people are shortsighted, even too blind, and has forgotten

  471. that he was cleansed from his own sin. Okay, therefore, brethren,

  472. be even more diligent to make your call and election. Sure, what did

  473. I just say just now? How do you know you are saved? Peter

  474. is saying here again, be even more diligent to make your call an election.

  475. Sure I got saved when I was eighteen years old. I tell you

  476. how many times in my life I asked before am I Christian? And there

  477. is not a bad thing? You know? That is not a bad thing?

  478. People say, Oh no, you gotta know the word. You gotta

  479. be hungry. You gotta make sure that you know, you know, you

  480. know, you know what it is in your conviction of your heart, because

  481. sets your life, you know, I mean right, it's your life.

  482. I've asked many times am i the Lord? Am I doing the things that

  483. ought to be? You know what? That what that representation? Or when

  484. you question either you are really safe or either you're not. If you are

  485. in your question means that God has put that fear in you. And that's

  486. a godly fear you ought to have. So you will always re examine your

  487. life. You can mean right, you always re examine your life. Okay,

  488. sorry, yeah, therefore be even more died to make your core election

  489. sure, for if you do these things, you will never stumble for soul

  490. and entrance. Okay, if you make all God be to say that for

  491. so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our

  492. Lord. And say with Jesus Christ these things what you could make every effort,

  493. because at the end of the road, when you enter this, when

  494. you enter through this door, there will be what an entrance supplied abundantly.

  495. It doesn't mean that the door will be open being you know what it means

  496. that it's actually talking about Greek culture. It's like the Olympics, when you

  497. open up suddenly you can enter the coliseum and the colisseum, whatever the stage

  498. is. You enter into it. The crowds will be cheering. Is what

  499. we call the abandoned entrance. There's an abundance of cheer. Wow, done

  500. well, don Timothy, well do ches? What your Oh the Alicia?

  501. You made it, You kept on to it, and it's worth it.

  502. You finally realized worth it. Amen. We hope you've been blessed by this

  503. message. For more information on our church, please visit X Church the RG.
