For I am Not Ashamed Of The Gospel | Elder Wong Kien Yiak

will light up your team today. I just wanted to share something that's really

close to me. It's from Romans. Chapter one was sixteen. Romans chapter

one. We're sixteen, and we will see how the Lord would lead us.

Romans one was sixteen. Okay, for I'm not ashamed, For I'm

not a shame of the Gospel of Christ. For it is power of God

to salvation and everyone who believes, for the jew first and also for the

Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith,

as it is written that just shall live by faith. Amen. So

we're sixteen. Paul is encouraging us that we should not be ashamed of the

Gospel of Christ. Sometimes we struggle with this in our daily life, in

our daily war. We don't have a problem with this, especially in the

midst of believers, in the midst of the crowd that share the same value.

It is need to worship in a chest setting like this whereby similar values.

But when you go back to work, or when you go back to

school and stuff like that, and you find yourself alone holding onto the principles

and values that you've been taught and you've been asked to follow. Sometimes it's

challenging, meaning to say that, oh, should I tell people that I

am a Christian? Not should I tell people that this is what I believe

in? Meaning say that the times will be challenged, whereby your faith takes

the words, it's being confronted. So pauls are asking us this morning for

I'm not ashamed. Friends, Sometimes we the word ashamed. Sometimes we don't

like to be associated with sometimes because of reputation or not right because a reputation,

I don't also siaate with that. Already what we wear right now we

can associate with the bread right, and sometimes you don't wear us the things

because we kind of also say with the things because you don't really believe in

it. And this morning I felt the law once a minister to all there

is nothing wrong with the gospel. Right. Sometimes you don't also shame with

something because we feel there's something bad. And that's why sometimes uh, we

do not want to be related to because it's not good. But there's nothing

wrong with the gospel. There's nothing wrong with God. So Paul saying that

it's us right, now we have to evaluate because for I am not ashamed.

It's not God that will say that. For God, it's a shame

of us because of our sins, you know what I mean. So it's

soul is going at the end of the day, because things doesn't give us

purpose. What you have right now, what you wear right now, how

much you have in terms of wealth right now doesn't give us purpose and meaning

lot of times, if our values and our image and our worth is determined

by how much we have, then God wants to minister to us this morning

because it's encouraging us that what profit will the man gain if it gains the

whole world but loses So that's why pause asking us that the Gospel of Christ

is so important because it helps us to understand who we are. Many times

in our lives we pursue things. We accumulate things, but at the end

of the day, right, we have to give it away. So when

I guess everybody goes through the phase when we are young, we have a

certain image a house at home supposed to look like. But as you begin

to age, then you realize that why on earth died by this thing?

Have you ever come there? Why on earth dies like this furniture? Man,

if I can reverse back the time, I will not purchase the furniture

because it's a hassard to move that. I begin to ache a bitten right

when we look at our home strengths, the same old people, the same

faces for the past six years, no growth. I got a message.

I'm preparing right now. I got a message I prepared right now and say

that things that's strolled in front of my house and every day I come back,

that'll be different, you know, different plastic bag that will fly at

the gate at the door my git and the question to me, I just

checking my spirits. How long would you allow that thing to be fire or

gate and not throw away? And it was to check in my stream?

Because how long will not allow the homes to be empty? This is like

a formal seats formal capacity five more capacity? How long will allow XPG to

remain with empty chairs around me? Whereby if my faith the Bible says,

I speak to the mountis, and the mountis be moved. The welcome back

you put out every weekend, how long we will put the same welcome back

there and not prey all the welcome back? Say every welcome back will be

taken. Every chair in XPG will field see our faith need the expression,

friends, it's not just a leader's expression, but our own personal life journey.

Say how long will we allow things to be rowed at our doorstep and

not attend to it? Because faith is power at the end of the day,

and power needs to be tapped. If we ever touch a life current

before it changes you, it gives you a jot in your heart. But

the moment we detach from the power, we lose the sensation really, and

that's why we need to express our faith daily. The judge, I'll live

by faith. Because we're expressing it daily, we start losing the sensation and

once the one we touch life like that, what have we been challenged with?

What have you been struggling with? You know that's occupying our hearts,

our mind? That's the word. Is that robbing us from the peace.

The God says that I'll grant you my peace, the pieces surpasses all understanding.

I'll give you I provided for you, the Bible says. So therefore,

don't be in a place where you're worried, but come into my joy,

coming to my rest. For I'm not ashamed of the Gospel of right

Christ, for there is power in it. Friends, too many Christians are

living without power and living under friends, power doesn't mean that you have no

problems. Pow will mean say you have strength to overcome every challenge that comes
