You're listening to a message to go from ex Church. We hope this message
-
will light up your day today. We're gonna read Hebrews chapter eleven and Hebrews
-
chapter twelve. Right, and if you know your Bible, Hebrews talks about
-
let's try that again. Hebrews talks about well also, I'm surean It talks
-
about faith. Okay, yeah, he talks about faith. Hebrew eleven and
-
Child talks about faith. And as I was praying and asking God, so
-
God, you know, the church is in a very good place. You
-
know. Different things are going well for us even in XPJ, you know,
-
and of course this year our team is Heaven rules. Right, Lord,
-
what do you want to impart to your people here? And I believe
-
that the Lord wants to impart this to you because this is a legacy of
-
our church. If there's one thing about ex Church that you cannot deny,
-
right, you can? You can? You? I mean, if you
-
put us under a microscope, it brought us exam. You know, a
-
lot of things may not be perfect. There's no such as a perfect church,
-
guys. Okay, So but that's one thing you cannot deny about our
-
church or even our leaders, or even the way pasta Kendev has led the
-
church. There's one thing that you cannot deny is that we are church full
-
of faith. Amen. Only one percent agrees that's right. Again, we
-
are churchful of faith. Amen, we are churchful of faith. We have
-
a lot of faith exploits. You know what the word exploit. You know
-
the world uses the word exploit you a way not so nice exploitation, right,
-
But of course we read the Bible. The Bible says they who know
-
their God shall do great exploits. Right, So isn't that exploitation as well?
-
You mean God is using me to exploiting me and my life when I
-
say as to him to do crazy things. Yes, we who know our
-
God will do a great exploits. We have a lot of faith exploits and
-
hopefully I right here, hopefully a faith field future. Amen. Are you
-
receiving that? Not hopefully a faith field future? What do I mean by
-
that? A lot of us started off church ministry when we're young. We're
-
young, we're on fire. We can do anything, you know, we're
-
crazy to believe, go for anything. But as the years go by,
-
I was sharing with I don't want to share with you guys, you start
-
counting things differently last time. You don't really count how many years you have
-
left. You just count where you're from. And you know the world is
-
your oyster. You know you got fifty when you're twenty, You've got fifty
-
more years or sixty more years. Now I'm forty. I realized after I
-
read the midpoint, I'm counting how many years I have left? You know,
-
I study you count how many years I have left? Was saying,
-
please start, don't make us a soundhere, or but but that's life,
-
you know. And one of the things that I'm concerned about is m hmm.
-
Is is our church or is our young people? Or is my children
-
going to be able to live a faith filled life like I have? Okay,
-
share not right? Is my kids going to be able to experience youth?
-
I'm looking at you. Are you going to be able to experience the
-
things I have experienced as a young person? Are you going to experience faith
-
things that are amazing? Right? I asked this question, Where are the
-
Rhine Bunks of today? Where are the Billy Grahams of today? Where are
-
the try not to use too many words, you know, because unfortunately some
-
of them didn't end well. But hey, where are the doctor living stones
-
of today? Youla Isabelle la Esher? Where's where's uh As? Not here?
-
Okay? She went toilet? You your Joline? You who else?
-
Joshua? You're still younger? Yeah, Ryan, Youla, who's gonna believe?
-
Sorry? Yah? And uh those that are more mature here. You
-
can be angry at me for saying this. And if you're angry, I
-
pray you do something about it. Sometimes the old people get too old for
-
their own good. We get to old to the point that we cannot believe
-
God readly because we know to any things. We get to all that we
-
do not take race right. And when God says something, we did not
-
do it because no, I might jeopard You know, It's so funny.
-
I remember my homies here, But I'm gonna shall this anyway. You're talking
-
about hearing God and hearing the shepherd's voice, and my homie said this,
-
He said, sometimes I scared to hear God's voice because ah, God,
-
will you know you you're happy with your life and everything, and sudden God
-
will call you to go and do missions elsewhere, you know, you know,
-
leave everything, sell everything, Hey, guys, do you think God
-
is so like that? And of course, thank God we had our chief
-
elder than chief elder give a different respective. He said, Actually, God
-
can ask you do two things. He can ask you to leave your job
-
and go full time ministry, or he can ask you to also do marketplace
-
ministry. You think what God is one dimensional? Oh? God is not
-
one dimensional? Guys. You know, have you all went for a world
-
change conference? Not? Do you go for what change conference? Do you
-
know the guy that came for what change conference? Was he a full time
-
minister? No? This is a big time businessman, right. I don't
-
know whether I'll be able to earn enough as much money as he's a big
-
time But he's telling about how God used him. So you think what God
-
can only use past us? God is one dimensional? Friends, I think
-
we are serving different gods today, do you feel me? So that's my
-
consideration. Right, A lot of us that are older, you know,
-
we have experienced the life of being walking by faith. But where has it
-
gone? Young people? Hear me in this, I'm waiting for the heroes
-
of today to rise up. I'm waiting for the heroes of faith to rise
-
up. Heat my call Hebrews chapter eleven, verse one. What does he
-
say? I haven't even turned there yet. Oh my goodness, are you
-
guys? Okay? Amen, that's the right that's the right response. Praise
-
God for that. I'm still looky for Hebrews. Oh my goodness, actually
-
have turned to it just now? See getting already? Okay? Funny I
-
founding, he says, yeah, Hebrews eleven, verse one. Now,
-
faith is the substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen for
-
by it, the elders obtain a good testimony. Who's the elder, Mila?
-
I already are I obtain a good testimony? I can share some testimonies
-
of today's kay right. By faith, we understand that the worlds were framed
-
by the word of God, so that the things which are seeing were not
-
made of things which are visible. Your catch that very heavy line? Or
-
not the things that are seen were not made by things that are visible?
-
How how impossible is that? Do you know that you have to have something
-
to make something? You mean, the world was was swum out or nothing?
-
Friends? That says yes, if you believe in the Bible, that's
-
what the That's what God is saying. By things unseen? How how can
-
I can I just speak for this music standing there Europear, I can't.
-
I'm not God. But that is faith, Amen, So you cannot deny
-
that our church is a church or faith. I remember when Steven came to
-
visit me uh in uh in in in in summit and I was sharing you
-
him about our d w CC. How he got it? You remember?
-
Not for those of you an extra strong enough, you know that devices used
-
to be a club. There's giv it used to be all okay, funny
-
things happening there, and then now it's a church, right you remember?
-
Not? You remember us? I remember clearly because there was at least one
-
two years of my life pulling cables, you know, looking at cigarette butts
-
and all that, the stuff on the floor. And then now it's such
-
a beautiful place. Now it's a school. Your school used to be a
-
nightclub. How cool is that? Isabelle? Who can say that? No?
-
God changes stuff into beautiful things? You know only God can do it,
-
not us. We will never claim the glory right, but true faith.
-
And I remember when it came. I tell you, I don't know.
-
I was talking and talking, I don't know what I bought him on
-
allah Okay, I was just sharing and as I'm sharing, I realized,
-
Wow, Lord, you have made all this happen. You were the one
-
that created all the You are the one that have given all these things.
-
You were the one that has given us a testimony. It is not by
-
a connection, It is not by I don't know a rich ty could.
-
It is never by any of this that we are able to enjoy the things
-
that we have as a church. It is by faith and it's by the
-
grace of God that he wants to partner with this little check in Malaysia to
-
do great things for him because we're willing to believe and thank God, it
-
all started without seeing foundings in your pastor if you talk to him, you
-
will recognize that he's a man of FAF. Why until today he got no
-
salary. He's my boss. I don't know how that works on you asked
-
me a sorry, don't not explain to you. Recently, he just shared
-
a very powerful testimony about how he's being challenge you know, and I think
-
if you go to it, Saysul, you'll see that there's another project,
-
renovation project he's doing for his house. And again if you talk to him,
-
you think, oh, yeah, you know pastor very Hey. If
-
you talk to him, you realize that he's pushed this project for ten years
-
and then now God reminded him like, hey, I want to do something
-
for you, and he's ready received. I don't know whey he'll ever come
-
here, Shah. I pray he well, he's really received some testimonies about
-
Gods Providence City, which is amazing. When I hear that, I'm encouraged.
-
So, young people, today's message for you. Hear me out,
-
you know why. And of course for those of you are more mature.
-
If you catch something, I pray you do something about it. But sometimes
-
you people are got nothing to lose, so you might receive it better.
-
But today's message is for you if you're still well, if you still don't
-
have kids, you're young. No, no, okay, those kids God
-
kids still young. So let's talk about the definition of faith. It's the
-
definition of faith, right Hebrews one one say, it's not faith, it's
-
the substance of things. Hope for the evidence of things. Don't saying you'll
-
get that. I hope for something. It is the substance. I have
-
nothing yet, Guys, by faith. So faith is my substance. Faith
-
is my content. Faith is what I have, and it's the evidence of
-
things don't seeing not yet happen yet, so we don't see it yet.
-
It's not tangible. I don't see it. A lot of us have faith,
-
right that one day that girl will be mine and I'll marry her one
-
day that God be mine. Nothing happened yet, not you have friends yet
-
or so, but you have a lot of faith, right, substance of
-
things don't saying really really dream dream about being I seem I was teasing my
-
wife. I remember this very clearly. That's so interesting. I was like,
-
no, Like, wow, Lord, you have brought us well because
-
now when I was chasing her. Wow, guys, you can imagine.
-
No, you I mentioned marry D. You mentioned waking up to the girl
-
next to you. Ready, you imagine all these ready but never happened yet,
-
right, Yeah, you imagine a D you know. And then she
-
broke my heart. Okay, anyway, that was another story. So the
-
definition of faith after that, after she broke my heart, can I imagine
-
anymore after the definition of faith? Right, So that's the definitely of faith.
-
Substance of things homeful is not yet appear yet. You understand that,
-
right, show me first and then I do That was not faith, I
-
guys, show first A lot of times in areas of faith, you won't
-
see it. You cannot see anything. You see in your switch eyes,
-
you see in your heart. Did I know that I'm going to be talking
-
on the stage here we close to one hundred people when we start the XPJA
-
eleven years ago. No, I had no idea by a faith. I
-
have faith, so Doula, you had faith. A lot of you here
-
you understand what I'm talking about. Those you who are more mature haven't happened
-
yet. But you see it and you believe, and you have faith that
-
will happen, and you do it. You act upon your faith different as
-
here have given up. You talk about the first party blage. You have
-
given out of faith. You have not seen it yet, but you've done
-
it out of faith. What is the product for it? Hebrews eleven two
-
says it for it the elders obtain a good testimony. Do you have a
-
good testimony? Do you know that testimony is very powerful? Reputation is very
-
powerful reputation. You know the Bible does say It is so easy to have
-
a bad repetation. It is so difficult to keep a good reputation. So
-
difficult. But with faith you can have a good reputation and good testimony to
-
who, to your people around you, No, to God. To God,
-
I think it met us work out testimony. We have two words God.
-
Sometimes we think about testimony as believe us or I need to be a
-
good testimony to my fellow brothers and sisters. Here have you been worried about
-
your testimony to God? How have we operated towards the Lord? Do we
-
obtain a good testimony to ascheme? You know, not to beeople around us,
-
to Him. That's the product of it when you act upon faith.
-
What is the perspective of faith? Hebrews One Tree. By faith, we
-
understand that the world's were framed by the word of God. The worlds were
-
framed by the word of God, the world the world itself, and that
-
the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible. This
-
is a core thing. People think we are crazy. Scientists will think you
-
crazy. Do you know that the Big Bang theory is the same concept because
-
they believe one day, long time ago something happened and by a miracle,
-
we have life. They also believe in miracle. No, it's just said
-
they believe in different a miracle, the miracle to believe God, know God,
-
the miracle that we believe God God. There is a person designing things
-
as a person making things happen. That's what we believe, right. But
-
they believe the miracle is so big bang bump, something happened. Do you
-
know that? Okay, if you're here and you believe in that, you
-
want to argue me after this. Sorry, I'll be an expert. Okay,
-
we'll talk about it ana day. But but but, but, friends,
-
let's be let's let's be clear on our convictions. Let's be clear on
-
what we believe. Amen. Right, And it's not it's not magic,
-
guys. I'm not teaching you magic here. I'm not teaching you something mystical.
-
Okay. The whole idea about science is the observation of life, right,
-
right, And you make a hypothesis and then you do an experiment and
-
it happens and you come out with a conclusion. Correct, So let me
-
tell you my conclusion. As we have this hypothesis on faith, some of
-
you here, you are still experiencing faith as a hypothesis. You have not
-
done the experiment yet. You have not experienced it yet. Friends, I
-
have really done the experiment. I have the hypothesis. I've done the experiment.
-
I have a conclusion ready, and I'm convinced that it works. So
-
the only way we'll know is that we actually do it. So that's the
-
perspective. You need to know something that came out of nothing. How that
-
makes sense? How do we get faith? Romans ten seventeen. So then
-
faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. So hopefully as I'm
-
sharing, you get faith. As I'm sharing God's word, you get faith.
-
But then I went deeper. I'm like, okay, faith, you
-
know, yeah, you know, we talk about God's words scripture. But
-
I decided to go deeper because you know the Bible, well, it was
-
translated in English, but the best way to get the full meaning is to
-
go deeper into the Greek or the Hebrew. And do you know that the
-
word of God there are two words that the Bible users to explain the word
-
of God. One is the logos word. You know what the logos word
-
is. The logos word is the written word of God, whatever that's written
-
here right. The next word is the Rama Word of God is the breath
-
of God, the Word of God that is life, the word of God
-
that comes that we hear, so that we have the written word of God
-
and we have the Rama Word of God. And you know the relationship that
-
between these two words. The written Word of God has been here forever.
-
Do you know how the written word of God becomes real to you when it
-
became when he when he gets brief life to you. You know who brings
-
that, the Holy Spirit. That's why the Holy spe is very important.
-
That's why X one eight is very important. Because the power is not power
-
shake hand. No, the power is the reality of God in your life
-
because you know, you know in your heart of us when you read the
-
Word of God and when the Word of God speaks to you or it's magic.
-
You know sometimes when I was young last time and I ensure something you
-
feel or you you you wanted to be mystical, magical, you want to
-
Oh, I flipped that page to that day. I didn't plan it.
-
I read it and then someone I speak to me, well, in a
-
way, that's a Reymama of Godlah. You know but I do believe that
-
even if we have a daily devotion. Now, I believe God can speak
-
to you every day, because that's what happened to me when I was young.
-
Young people listen to me. When I was growing up, I had
-
the opportunity, and I forgot about this time. But last week I'm Panslina
-
reminded me I had the opportunity to lead the youth group in my church last
-
time. Sad to say, and I'll be bold to say this, I
-
saw the youth group slowly die in the year that I was leading with your
-
group. Okay, of course I can bray myself, but there are different
-
things happening, Like guys, maybe Pastig is by Faller, Okay, maybe
-
young and all that year, every day, without fail, I will pick
-
up Oswald Chambers, my atmost it's highest devotional, and I will religiously read
-
it every day, and every day the Word saw me. How how crazy
-
is that that every day I read this book. Now, of course I
-
read the Bible, lah, but I read the Bible according to this devotional,
-
and God spoke to me every single day. You cannot say it's fake
-
because it's my own testimony. But I experienced him every day. Then I
-
see yah experiment God speaks right hypothesis. I did the experiment for a year.
-
Every single day I got the result. Now it has become my reality
-
that when I pray, and when I see God, and when I read
-
the Bible, you cannot tell me, Oh, Elvin, when you want
-
God to speak to you, it must be something, something, something,
-
I will say. God can speak to you anyway anyhow he wants on a
-
devotional that is pre planned written by some guy who passed away. Really,
-
he can speak to you every day or so. That's what God can do.
-
Amen, that's his power. So don't put him in the box.
-
So when Romans Tands seventeen says, faith comes a hearing that means you get
-
faith. No, you get faith by hearing what word you hear the rama
-
word of God's an utterance, by implication, a metal topic of narration,
-
command or dispute with negative not whatever. We have faith when we hear the
-
rama word of God. Right, And it's good to also read the logo's
-
word. You know why because when you read the logo's word, when you
-
read the written word, then you will know which world God is from God.
-
Because God will never contradict himself. Then you will know which voice is
-
correct. I mean, we learned last week, right, guys, how
-
to know your true shepherd Before you hear rama word, you must have the
-
logos word. Know you know how dangerous is it to hear rama word from
-
anywhere and not read and not know your Bible. Then you will know what
-
will happened. And I've heard this before. I've heard someone share to a
-
church leader not here or church I don't know, from somewhere, but I
-
heard before that the church member went to the pasta and say, Pastor,
-
I believe that God is asking me to divorce my wife. Hey, hello,
-
you are claiming that the Rema world of God is asking you to divorce
-
your wife. You gotta read the Bible or not. What does the Bible
-
say? Friends? I hope you guys are okay? Aah, you guys,
-
Okay, Sorry, I'm I'm a bit on fire today. Okay,
-
maybe it's holy spread. I just want to give you the meat so that
-
you will decide for yourself at the end of the day. I'm not knocking
-
anyone here. If you have believed in that time to change your perspective,
-
because through the renewal of your mind. You can prove what is perfect?
-
Do you know that that happens when you are renewing your mind in your faith,
-
you are proving what is the right way, that is Christ's way.
-
That's what happens. That's why that's the struggle. That's why there's a change
-
our environment. That's why there's that. You know, we cannot get stuck
-
in the same mindset. You get started in the same mindset, you're not
-
gonna grow so by faith. So this tells me that one of the most
-
effective ways, or maybe the only way to get faith is to hear God
-
really for yourself, because when God speaks, it is not scary thing.
-
Oh He's gonna ask me to sell all I have friends. If you think
-
that that's our God, I think you don't know him well enough. I
-
really think you don't know him enough. I hope you don't think that that's
-
our God. Our God is a God that wants the best for us.
-
Our God is the God that says, I have plans for you, right
-
plans to bless you and prosper you, no plans to hurt you. So
-
the Bible says our God is the one that can give us freedom. We
-
don't have to do loo for freedom anywhere else. All we need to do
-
is we close to Him and he will give us freedom. He will give
-
us an abundant life. But it makes sense. It makes sense to me
-
because if we just read the logger's word. Sometimes you know, you read
-
and then you read the leven Diggers and you're like, oh, man,
-
I want to sleep, right, But when there's the ramo world of God,
-
then the faith will a rise. So, friends, I asked you
-
a question this morning. What is God telling you this morning to do?
-
Is your faith rousing up? Is your faith being challenged? Right? Are
-
you growing by faith? Many things have happened in the Bible. Let me
-
read he Brews chapter eleven. I guts see Okay, Okay, sorry,
-
a bit excited. Okay, Hebrews chapter eleven, verse four to thirteen,
-
and let's go and read it. Okay. He says, yeah, by
-
faith, able offered to God a more excellent sacrifice and kine through which he
-
obtained witness that he was righteous God testifying of his gifts, and through it,
-
he being dead, still speaks. Okay, we know what happened to
-
Abele, but God honored and recognize him by faith enough was taken away so
-
that he did not see death and was not found because God had taken him.
-
For before he was taken he had his testimony that he pleased God.
-
How many of you wont that testimony? Oh, Esther, you have pleased
-
God a powerful tessimonia Esther, very powerful tasimony. Right. But without faith
-
it is impossible to please him. Oh, the wever has told us today,
-
if we don't act in faith, it is impossible to please God.
-
Right, For he who comes to God must believe that he is and that
-
He is a rewarder of those who diligion needs seeking. Can let me stay
-
on this a little bit? What does it mean that you mean, pass
-
Irvin, I need to act in faith? The onney I can please God?
-
Well, yes, but let me give you this context. And I'll
-
give you the context of a father and a son. Right if my son
-
don't admit that my' his father, or if my son, by only by
-
face value, admit that he's my son. And when I ask him to
-
do things as the Lord asks me to do things and he doesn't do it,
-
do you think I'm pleased? No? I will not be pleased.
-
And how many of you will tell me that I will only ask my son
-
to do things that benefit me and not him. If you know I'm a
-
good father, Okay, I don't want to go into semantics, but if
-
you know I'm a good father, you know I'm reliable, you know I
-
you know I'm faithful. Don't you think that things that he may not like
-
we're asking him to do will benefit him? And that's that's God to us.
-
So when this scripture talks about that, I look at it in that
-
perspective. Wow, Lord, you are father. You're asking us as well
-
your children know and when we don't anger, we are not pleasing you.
-
That's what it just means. It's not like, oh you must fay when
-
you have faith, you need to sacrifice everything. I think that's a very
-
not so healthy perspective of faith. Yes, we hear crazy stories of faith,
-
but actually faith is just falling on God as you to do. Faith
-
is just being obedient. That's what faith is. When you receive the word
-
of God, when you hear the word of God, when you hear the
-
rama word of God, we be obedient. Just that isn't that simple enough?
-
And when we are obedient don't you think we'll please our parents? We
-
will. What's the alternative being disobedient to our father in heaven? I pray
-
not oversee her'll be like that. Okay, don't be disobedient to him.
-
He wants the best words. Let's have the right perspective of our father in
-
heaven. Okay, I'm not trying to not anyone here. Let's let's carry
-
on by faith. Noah, being divinely worn of things not yet seen,
-
move with godly fear, prepare and ask for the saving of his household,
-
by which he condemned the world and became heir to the righteousness, which is
-
according to faith. You'll know the sorry of Noah. Right, crazy guy,
-
right, go and build up. Do you watch Bruce or my tea?
-
This is Bruce or my tea? That's another one. I think,
-
save Carrell on heaven or my tea? Evan, Evan on my t Evan
-
Evan. Have you been receiving anything from a lot recently? Hey? I
-
never knew how much ridicule he could have gotten. And when you read the
-
scripture, you hear the fear of the Lord. So friends, can I
-
give you this other revelation? We fear a lot of things. I have
-
this perspective nowadays about life and about things. We are afraid of a lot
-
of things, as why we do certain things. I think the question is
-
what are you fearing the most today? Noah obviously feared God more than he
-
feared ridicule. Also also not good no And in life that's how we face
-
like some nice both also save for us both also, if you girl,
-
I think sometimes we gotta choose which one we want to be difficult, because
-
both is so difficult. Sometimes we think that the thing that is not difficult
-
is actually we're kidding ourselves. Down the line, it might it might get
-
harder, or with might lose out. So sometimes we just got to decide.
-
I'm gonna suffer any I better choose my suffering, la, if you
-
get what I mean. I'm gonna work hard anyway, I better choose where
-
I work hard in? Do you know that we can have choice? You
-
know, if I'm going to do it, I might sell please the law.
-
Lah, It's gonna be hat anyway, A man, right, it's
-
going to be difficult anyway. I might sell please the Lord. Then at
-
least I know he will to kill me, because if I please other people,
-
they cannot do anything. They are not on if cut off the thousand
-
heels, they are not the God that can. You know, I don't
-
know whether you have the perspective, and just giving you that thought, right.
-
You know, sometimes we think that we are choosing the easy way,
-
or sometimes we don't choose, but sometimes it's still a difficult one both ways
-
so difficult. The question is to scare a word more? I give you
-
this perspective. So in regards to my kids, right, and I've shared
-
this before, one of the things that I feel that I want to leave
-
my kids is is hopefully their faith and their salvation. I pray that they
-
will know who Jesus is. That's my thing. Okay, Does that mean
-
that as a parent I have to sacrifice certain things sometimes because time are time?
-
The answer to you, honestly is yes, because I also love to
-
get them do different things. But the question is which want to scat more?
-
I scared my son cannot play a piano, or I scared my son
-
don't know Jesus. You know, I'm not saying it's that choice for everyone
-
now, but I'm giving you my own life. The way I think we
-
shant to scare more, I scare them, you know, uh, well,
-
of course we do and and study and all the kinds. But you
-
give I mean right we should. I scared that they will miss out life.
-
We shall I scared they will miss out life, or I scared their
-
miss out on Christ. We shant to scat more. I have to choose
-
no, and then I make decisions based on that. So in life sometimes
-
it's like that, friends, We got to think of it that way.
-
Amen. By faith. By faith, Abraham obeyed when he was called to
-
go out to the space which he would receive an inheritance, and he went
-
out, not knowing where he was going. By faith, he dwelt in
-
the land of promise, as in a foreign country, dwelling in terms with
-
Isaac and Jacob, the heirs we came of the same promise. So he
-
waited for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God.
-
By faith, Sarah herself also received strength to conceive, and she bore child
-
when she was past the age she became because she judged him faithful, who
-
had promised therefore from one man and him as good as they were born,
-
as many as the stars of the sky in the multitude innumerable as a sand
-
which is by the sea shore. This all died in faith, not having
-
received the promises, but having seen them off. Surely of them embraced them
-
and convinced that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth. For those who
-
say such things declare plainly that they seek a homeland. You'll catch that these
-
people that all act in favor. I'm sure the people around and look at
-
them and go, you crazy? Are you? Ha? You mean God,
-
as you do leave your family and go out to the foreign land a
-
promise land? Crazy? Are you crazy boy? Crazy guy? Ha?
-
You mean? God gave you a promise of her son? Crazy lah?
-
They all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen
-
them afar off. Abraham received the promise, but he didn't see his generations
-
and generations though he just received promise, and he belief freely, amazing,
-
amazing by faith. Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac,
-
And he who had received the promises, offered up his only Begondon, son
-
of whom you were saying, in Isaac, your siet shall be called,
-
concluding that God was able to raise him up even from the date from which
-
he also received him in a figurative sense. By faith. Isaac bless Jacob,
-
and he saw concerning things to come by faith. Jacob when he was
-
dying, bless each of the sons of Joseph and worship leaning on the top
-
of his staff by faith. Joseph when he was dying Mide mention of the
-
departure of the shore now Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones. All
-
of them did things by faith. When it has not happened yet, they
-
all did things by faith. I don't have a lot of time. Can
-
I share more current stories with you? So maybe you might not be able
-
to relate all these stories because I so long ago in Abraham or we heard
-
let me let me give you some current stories by faith. Doctor Jason and
-
took up the worship cordinator role and have led the worship team to another level.
-
I believe if you know something about all they said, he wants me
-
coming to things. But when I asked him, he merely looked at me
-
and said, I knew you're gonna ask me. Okay. If you know
-
Jason, you know he's very careful. You know he won't he won't say
-
yes to all these things are I know even though i'm his other leader,
-
I know I know very well know him for many years Aday, but he's
-
told me, yep, I'll take it up because I knew you're gonna ask
-
me. I'm like, what God must be speaking to you? By faith?
-
Your rach took up the road to so and lead a community team.
-
He has served faithful for a few years and I've impacted the lives of many
-
children before you hours married. Every Saturday, He'll wake up every Saturday for
-
four years, he will wake up, go to the Ansana community, run
-
the classes, and then come home. I wonder how many kids have been
-
blessed through one man's stickfulness by faith. Daniel whnya your worship leader. He
-
studied hard, came to Malaysia, and have thus changed the life of his
-
own life and his own family indefinitely. Let me give you a bit of
-
background about Daniel that you may not know. They also found out as I
-
go along. Okay, he's a very brilliant guy, really very brilliant.
-
Came here on scholarship. Do you know that if he didn't have the scholarship,
-
he wouldn't have the chance to be in Malaysia. Let me give you
-
Daniel's background. You know, we always talk about the Asana community. I'm
-
not looking down on him. He's one of my mother guyser and asking permission
-
to share you, so I'm not putting him down. But do you know
-
we talk about all the urban poor kids, the b forty our brother.
-
That's his background. He many times joking my kids, wow, you're so
-
good to have so many toys. On last time, our favorite toil was
-
a brick, and the brick was the best toy right then because with the
-
break, every and every kidd had had made their own break, because the
-
brick was the car, The brick was the house, the brick was transformers,
-
the brick was everything. You look at him now, you believe her.
-
You think that he probably born with a silver spoon in his mouth,
-
right but by faith, by faith he didn't know, and by faith he's
-
here. You asked him, asking him, he has simony. By faith,
-
by faith dimitic One was faithfully in ex church. This time must go
-
deeper with can I thieve them? Is an awesome guy, right? I
-
remember when t was in a as a chemistudent coming to my home, Sir.
-
He is a very quiet and faithful guy. And that's the one thing
-
I believe and I think I will credit him. The other thing I'll credit
-
him is he knows who his God is, okay, And I will save
-
this safely that Let's just say that he didn't want to be in church that
-
time now, and he was asking God, of all the churches you send
-
me? Why this church? Right? Why these church? I don't understand?
-
Right, And I had few conversations with him many years. I'm praying
-
for this brother, Oh Lord, please let him lets it's hardly open,
-
you know. And he was a CIF president for you know you am very
-
steady guy, but very noncommittal, right, won't commit to anything. Just
-
come on me, you know. And when talk to him, he's like,
-
you know, no, I won't go back from mine. Not not
-
bad, Okay, by faith. He came faithfully. And I've told him
-
many times, brother, if you really don't like it here, go find
-
another church. It's okay one, We love you anyway. But I still
-
see him. He didn't fully understand why God let him here. And now
-
he's leading a homes and he's socio, a key leader who is guiding many
-
many young people by faith. You think faith is easy, not easy,
-
guys. By faith, we started the homes in sege Kd a long time
-
ago, and many lives of young people would change. Some of them became
-
leaders of the church and are still serving faith. For me today, it
-
was done by favor. It was not easier. Every when I say ask
-
my wife, every when I say hey, and I just got baby.
-
You need you know I just got a baby. Every when I say for
-
the tea, i leave office because my office allowed me to leave early.
-
I would drive all the way to Segge which is forty five minutes away,
-
to do homes with this bunch of jokers. Right, huh. You want
-
to know about worship, I tell you our worship was so awesome. Right,
-
The first few months of was so awesome. Everything you think went wrong
-
went wrong. There was once I went and said, you know what,
-
I'll cook for your because Tapa your food not that great. I'll cook for
-
you guys, and thinking that you know they are equipped in their house,
-
it was a bland knife. Our homes is supposed to start eight o'clock,
-
Our homes are ten nine o'clock. Because it took me one hour to cut
-
tomatoes for pasta. I tell you that homes are after six months, right,
-
half of the homies are from espresso. You know. Later on,
-
later on then a different ones for espresso like wow. Then their homes had
-
awesome food after that. I don't know what happened. You know, they
-
caught something by faith, by faith. I brought the I brought the ring
-
to marry my wife without any money to get married. And God has provided
-
supernatural for my wedding, marriage and life. And he has never failed me
-
once. He has been faithful by faith my wife. My wife married me
-
a man of faith. She was praying for men of faith low sorry idea
-
whom she had prayed for and trusted a lot to lead her. I would
-
like to believe she has been blessed too many areas. I hope, Sola,
-
Okay, I hope. So the joke is that you don't I should
-
share this or not. I mean, I let's just say that my wife
-
is a pure bread and I'm a girl. If you get what I mean.
-
My wife is pearl bread. She was was she was uh you know
-
how to say? She was groomed to marry the upper escalons of you know
-
life. You know people who got Sea suite you know on Yeah, she
-
was groomed that way. But somehow, somehow, you know, this town
-
boy from gleg managed to bag a chaos diggirl praised a lot. Oh my
-
goodness, by faith I shared on my son's conditions five years ago. That
-
was one of the most scary message. I preach to the church here with
-
fear and trembling. But God has shown me a testimony through my son's life
-
and true our obedience. You know, friends, can I share you this
-
thing? We hide a lot of things in our life. We hide a
-
lot of things. We do not share people. But do you know that
-
sin has no more power in the light. You think that by hiding your
-
saving yourself. You think that by hiding, oh no escape, people judge
-
me at all. That was my fear. That was our fear. Me
-
and my wife we hit it for a few years and then we say,
-
you know what, Lord, I cannot be living in fear right and God
-
is challenging me. You know, share with your church about this thing that
-
you have been keeping quiet for a long time, do you know? And
-
I was just talking to my wife about this. I say, we had
-
a very wrong conversation about how bobus are. We talk to people, even
-
those who are in especialism. We openly share about what's happening at home because
-
we're like, okay, I know everything. You'll know already, nothing to
-
be afraid. But yesterday with our first parents support group, and he was
-
really good. People needed to share. People needed to be open. So
-
if you're going through something on your own in secret, can you please don't
-
do I'm not asking you to go and post on peace. Don't go and
-
post on social media. Arkay, the internet is the worst Counselor find a
-
leader, find someone you trust, Find someone who can work with you and
-
not encourage you to do it more right, and come clean and say I'm
-
not perfect, I've done this, I've not been great about it. Can
-
you help me? You'll be surprised that in this church the Lord has raised
-
that many people that will be willing to extend a helping hand. That's why
-
you believe me discipleship. So don't keep it under the wrong don't hide it
-
anymore. If you're married, here to talk to your wife about it.
-
Talk to your husband about it. Oh, I've had it the tic secret
-
for the longest time, you know, and I pray that the Lord will
-
lead you through a journey of healing. Right. So yeah, God led
-
us not just to start a ministry, but also support and courage many other
-
parents who may be lost or discouraged in this taboo and sensitive world of especialists.
-
It is still we're taboo by faith. Six young adults started XPJ.
-
We just believe that God is calling us to start the call of God to
-
plan a church in Quota Damansarah. Hey sorry wrong, oh sorry sorry,
-
just a belief that God is calling us to start. And after eleven years
-
and many lives later, we'll reached out and discipled so many people. Let
-
me tell you the people that were involved. Me my wife, no choice,
-
she married to me. So wherever social like O kill our Lord your
-
people be my people, then I have to, you know, drag her
-
alone. Josephine Cole, she was one of those that started. She's our
-
sister, she's my assistanc c BC Right, different people here. I only
-
think has been round for very long time reading XPJA. Right, we started
-
a church. Do we expect the church we are that? No, we
-
just answered the call of God. Okay, God, I'll come here,
-
I'll do this even if nobody's here, I'm going to be here right by
-
faith. A young man from Pinang who was attending Eccentral Subanjaya answered the call
-
of God to plan a church in Quota Dama and Sarah started at homes during
-
the pandemic and laters and submitted to find a venue in Bannalo Tama later and
-
then later plan at church in Bernal Tama in state. And now after one
-
years plus have seen the fruits of his faithfulness. XBU is growing lips and
-
bounce and ex church XPJ. You also have a benefit in it because the
-
different ones that are there, they grew from here, they grew in this
-
church, and then they were really this and they went by faith. Amen,
-
and this is fresh, really fresh by faith. We are starting x
-
tramele fellowship today with the homesteader one day plan at Tamil Speaking Church. Why
-
Alvin not enough? Just planner? I thought your English got many enough?
-
Flower. Let me tell you why meant you nineteen twy go Rea bi Bill.
-
That's why. It's just that there's no other reason. There's no other
-
reason but the last commission where God says, go therefore and make disciple that's
-
the only reason why we're doing all we're doing no other reason. Guys.
-
It is not easy work. But you see by faith, so young people,
-
are you hearing me out? This is the legacy we leave for you.
-
What you do with it is up to you. We have done a
-
lot really different ones here have sacrifice really by faith. I can share.
-
Jos showy up when all the madness is happening, said okay, Pasta Vin,
-
I will still surf in our teens ministry. I don't know who's gonna
-
come. I don't know wherever we go, other leaders or not. By
-
faith. Then and Judy join him. Of course the pastor asked for no
-
choice, I have to say yes, right, they joined him, and
-
then later we had you know, Selene came and then Esther to go.
-
Esther came, you know, and we were like trying to figure out what
-
to do right? Josh right, Josh, you're trying to figure out what
-
to do right? By faith? I tell you, we were like,
-
what are we gonna do right? Do you know that yesterday we had twenty
-
old people for our small group in teens and we don't know where they came
-
from because Friday only seven people say we are coming. Let me tell you
-
why. When we act in faith and we are ready, you know it's
-
you know, I'm sharing you a lot about faith, fath faith. But
-
you know that this doesn't work if we have no partnership with God. It
-
only works because we are partnership with God. I'm just sharing about our part.
-
God will do his part a lot of things that we do in life
-
right, And when we're challenged by God, we need to recognize that he's
-
there and he's the one who wants to partner with us. We are not
-
doing it alone. The mistakes are nice. We think, is we're doing
-
it? Loone? Oh I'm alone, I'm alone, I'm long and you
-
figure it. No, guys, it is always the reliance on God.
-
So, young people, this is my change to you. Rely on God.
-
Don't trust yourself so much, trust God's word, trust your leaders,
-
and act in faith. Amen, and then you experience the God things in
-
your life. Put the experiment to test. Put the experiment to test,
-
and the experiment is can I trust God more? Not? Can I act
-
upon His word more? No? That's the experiment. Let's see you prove
-
it, friends, true faith, we can be certain of a few things.
-
When we hang in faith, we can pray for things not seen and
-
believe that we can receive it right. That's why Jesus can confidently say,
-
if anyone you will have faith as a master, see you say to this
-
mountain goal, you will go right twenty one says. And whatever things you
-
ask in prayer, believing you will receive. By faith, we can be
-
certain that we are pleasing God. Why because we are following the instruction of
-
our Father. That is why we are confident. Because without faith it's impossible
-
to please him. For he who comes to God must believe that he is
-
and that He is a reward of those who diligiently see if he seek him
-
and by faith. And it is very especially in this day and age.
-
I want to encourage you guys. By faith, we can overcome. We
-
can overcome. That's this thing about overcoming. Yes we are discouraged. Yes
-
we're going to a tough time. But do you know that you have the
-
power to overcome, not through your own strength, but true by the power
-
of God, that you can overcome. Yet, in all these things we
-
are more than conquerorus. Through Him who loved us, we can overcome because
-
of God's love. I leave this before I end Hebrews Chilth. Please go
-
ahead read it for your own by Hebrews Chilth. Want to dou said that
-
we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses. You know, the
-
Bible assures us friends. Remember I said, you're not alone. The Bible
-
assures us that it is not a journey where we are making alone, but
-
with many around us. Look around you, friends, look around you.
-
Here this is your community of faith. These are the people that encourage you.
-
Why do we share testimonies? Why am I sharing with all these things?
-
But because different ones have gone before you already? Why am I so
-
confident? It is because different ones have gone before me. I see what
-
has happened in their life, and I'm like, I want that. I
-
want to experience God in that way. I want to any faith. Do
-
I know things will happen. I don't know a lot of things that we
-
did in the past. We don't know what would happened and what would turn
-
out. You read what happened in the Bible. They have all gone before.
-
We are surrounded by a great cloud witnesses. Different ones have gone,
-
They have gone, really okay, they have not received any problems, but
-
actor in faith. But remember them. But there are many here still running
-
the race. So let us so let's not forget that we are not we
-
are not alone. Sometimes we get light to you know, especially in this
-
day and age. Oh you're alone, law, nobody understands you, nobody
-
knows. No, we are not alone. So lay aside every sing,
-
everything that weigh us down. You know, sin is rare heavy. Lay
-
aside, laid aside, lay aside the bondage. You can choose one.
-
Lay aside, Stop the bad habits, stop the disobedience, lay aside every
-
sin, and let us run with endurance. And durance just means that you
-
were hurt, but you got to carry on. He'll be tough for you
-
to carry on. But let us look to Christ Jesus as our savior,
-
as an example and for guidance, because the reality is that he has run
-
the race and he won. One of the key things about Jesus that we
-
need to remember is that he didn't have to come to this earth, but
-
he came to this earth. He became a baby, he went through puberty,
-
he went through teenagehood, he went through all these things. He started
-
his ministry when he was thirty and he was put to death for our sins.
-
When he was study tree. He already run the race and he won
-
because he was raised from the dead. And that's how we want. He
-
was raised from the dead, he was resurrected from the dead. So he
-
should be our inspiration that Christ can do it and withdraw from him. And
-
when we're running this race, let us also take heed of the chestening of
-
the Lord. This may not sound good, but I need to share it
-
anyway. He Bruce Child sixty eleven says, my son, my daughter,
-
do not despise the chestening of the Lord. Not be discouraged. When you
-
are rebuked by him. For whom the Lord loves, he chastens and scholges
-
every son whom he receives. You know, God only disciplines the children that
-
he loves. So let's allow God to mold us because we walk by faith
-
and not by sight. I don't know how you're going to receive this this
-
morning, but I want to encourage to encourage you. I hope I'm encouraging
-
you. That is time to walk by faith. Friends, It's time to
-
walk by faith, as believe us. It is time to say, Yep,
-
I'm convinced that my faith is real and God Israel and He's alive in
-
my life. And if you've never experienced Him in that way before, time
-
to start the experiments. This is why I'm so confident. I'm just sharing
-
you many many and I know different ones here. If you ask your home
-
leaders, you ask different ones here. Even for those of you who have
-
been Christian for a long time, you will remember. You will remember in
-
your walk and your journey with the Lord, your set of faith and how
-
God came true for you. And with one more last encouragement, you know,
-
God doesn't want us to just experience old testimonies. One of the reasons
-
why he only allowed the Israelites to pick up the manna on that day for
-
the day, and if they take up any manner the day before right and
-
he will go bad, is because he wants them two reasons. Of course,
-
One people will say, oh, you know, he wants us to
-
rely on them, so they got no choice. Well that's one. Yes,
-
God always wants us to rely on him, that's one. But you
-
know the second reason about new manna from heaven, it is fresh, fresh
-
testimonies. When was the last testimony you had, When was the last time
-
God worked in your life? Maybe it's time to step out in faith and
-
experience Him again. You are never too old. No, I know,
-
I know. I jokingly said, well, not joking, but you're gonna
-
say young people is for you, But hey, actually this message for everyone
-
because no matter how old you are as a believer, God can do new
-
things in your life. No matter how old you are as a believer,
-
God can use you. You know, your time is not up. Some
-
are you here? Maybe you're retired ready or retired? Okay, you know,
-
let the young people please don't have that tought process. Can or not?
-
Because Caleb in the Bible is eighty years old and when Joshua said Caleb,
-
can you please secure like your sons, he said nope. God promised
-
me this mountain that belongs to me, I will take it myself. And
-
he's eighty. Wow. Such faith. We hope you've been blessed by this
-
message. For more information on our church, please visit Axchurch dot org.
-
We are also active on Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that this week is
-
going to be a good week, a hit for you. God bless
