You're listening to a message to go from X Church. We hope this message

will light up your day. I want to give you a message that the

Lord put on my heart on the first week of January, and I asked

the Lord Lord, what word would you want to give to your precious people

in X church? What word could start the year? And he gave me

a word on Saturday two Saturdays ago or maybe now three Saturdays ago. January

has gone by so far and before you know, it's done and it has

tied me here. But hey, okay, let's go down a litle bit.

So he gave me the message at about ten pm on a Saturday night,

and so I went on to prepare for about twenty a half hours and

then midnight pass. And I really believe that this word is from the Lord

because it also applies to me and I who want to take heed to the

word. So let's put up the slides. Thank you XTV for helping me

with this. The title is simple. Five areas to watch out for in

twenty twenty four almost rhymes five areas to watch out for in twenty twenty four.

Okay, so there are five areas that God wants us to invest in,

take control off, and look out for five areas. They will either

make you or break you. So that's why it's important. And I want

to share with you these five areas so that you take heed and that you

will prosper if you would watch for these five areas in your life and also

begin to sew into it, because when you show, you will also reap.

Amen. I want to say also a big thank you to Passer,

Alvin and Jazz, who are not here today because they are way for I

think the anniversary holiday break, and so I usually do this right. I

will visit the church plans, and I know for sure that a lot of

sacrifices are made week after week. Pass the mad and Adeline as well,

and the leadership here. Thank you so much for paying the price and dressing

up for Jesus and you know, serving the Lord. Those of you out

there, you know ushers host ex kids a week after week. So thank

you from the bottom of my heart for what you do and how you love

the Lord and love the people here. And I know what people who come

to XPG do want to go anywhere else day like they love XPG so much,

so you must be creating an environment for them to love the church.

But don't get too comfortable, Okay, continue to serve the Lord and go

where he tells you to go when he tells you to. But okay,

let's start Proverbs chapter four. If you can put up my microphone just a

little bit more, it'd be great, because I don't want to lose my

voice before I get to be you. Yeah, it's a little bit.

I like to hear myself also when I'm preaching, because faith comes by hearing

and hearing by the word of God, so I want to hear myself.

Okay, thank you so much. Sound team, Let's read the Word of

God, Proverbs for twenty twenty seven. My son, give attention to my

words. Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from

your eyes. Keep them in the midst of your heart, for they are

alive to those who find them, and help to all their flesh. Keep

your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.

Put away from you a deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips far from

you. Let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eye lids look right

before you ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established.

Do not turn to the right or to the left. Remove your foot

from evil. These are the five areas I want to speak to you about

today. They are the ears, the heart, the mouth, the eyes,

and the feet. All right, I'll explain it to you in a

bit, but let's just read now another version of the scriptures we just read.

It's fround from the message. Now. The official Bible for ex Church

is the NKJV New Kings James version, because we find it to be the

most accurate of all versions. Excuse me, but sometimes we like to also

study other translations to get a different angle. And for me, I found

that the message is pretty cool in this regard. So here we go proverbs

for twenty twenty seven, same scriptures that we have read from the message.

Now, dear friend, listen well to my words. Tune your ears to

my voice. Keep my message in plain view at all times, concentrate,

learn it by heart. Those who discover these words live, really live body

and soul. They're bursting with health. Keep vigilant watch over your heart.

That's where life starts. Don't talk out of both sides of your mouth.

Avoid careless banter white lives and gossip. Keep your eyes straight ahead, ignore

all sides showed distructions, Watch your step and the road will stretch out smooth

before you look neither right nor left. Leave evil in the dust. All

right, now, before I touch on these five areas, I want to

say to you, they're all connected. What you allow into your ears will

slowly but surely feel your heart, and what you allow your heart to be

filled with, you will speak, and when you speak there will be life

or death. The Bible says that. And of course it's also connected to

your eyes, what you allow your eyes to see. And we will also

learn it's not just what you see, is how you see, and how

you see life, your life, the life of others around you will also

determine how you walk and how you live your life. Okay, so they

are all connected. So if you are good with one, you possibly will

take care of the rest more easier. But if you're not good with one,

you will probably fail in the rest. So it's very very important.

They are also in order. God is the god of order, and when

he writes the Bible through his servants, he writes it very orderly. And

that's why I gave you a message once upon a time from Genesis chapter one

and two and even three. And I told you about the five steps you

know, how to know the spirit is hovering over your life, and the

five steps how to know that the spirit is slithering in your life. And

it's really quite clear that God is the God of order, and he puts

them in steps. So step number one is step number one, Two is

two, three is three, four is four, five is five. And

if you mess it and think that you know, probably that you're smarter than

God, and you can't, like you know, switch it around and or

you turn it around, you're gonna find it it's not going to work.

So well. So God is a god of order. He's a good God.

Somebody say, a man, praise the Lord. Okay, so let's

look at ears now. Okay, let's start with ears. The Bible in

Proverbs for twenty to twenty seven that we read said this, right, he

said incline your ear to my sayings. That's the first word that God shared

with us. And why is it number one? Why is it number one?

In message we read the same words, dear friend, listen well to

my words. Tune your ears to my voice. Now those of you are

old enough to use the radio with the tuner, we'll understand that once upon

a time when we wanted a channel, we would, you know, turn

the dial, and you know, it will come close to that channel.

And as you are coming close to the channel, you will hear something and

you'll go like, ladies, I yes, I will, you know,

and you go and then you go, you go further. You you pass

by something very very clear, and yeah, and yes you want to you

know, and you go back and yeah, and I know you break and

PHPR you know, and then what you're gonna do. You're gonna have to

tune right. You're gonna have to tune You're gonna have to left right,

left right again, left right again, because sometimes if you don't get it

right, you hear a lot of other voices. And I told you before

that one of the Devil's biggest strategy is to create so much noise on the

earth that you can't you can't hear God's voice anymore. Just so much noise

everywhere. Uh. You know, when you're sitting at the mama eating dinner

with your friends, you no noise, uh, and so many voices,

and not every voice is right. More importantly, not every voice is the

voice of God. And so you want to learn this year to tune.

Go left if you have to, go right if you have to, But

don't just settle for what I think is God's voice. Don't just settle because

you when it's God's voice is very clear. It's very very clear. So

the Bible says, tune your ears. Now, why why did God start

with the ears? Because I believe if you and I were honest enough,

And this is going to be a strong statement, but I hope you you

you not only hear it, but you also agree. If you don't agree,

you know, sorry. But where we are today, the condition we

are in, either good or bad, is due to what we have heard.

Okay, I know it's strong, but think about it. If you

have done well in the store market, it's because you have heard well and

you well. If you're not done well in the store market, it's because

you didn't hear well, or you heard people that you shouldn't hear, or

you heard yeah, pundits that are usually wrong. Where you are, maybe

you're angry this morning, it's also because of what you've heard. Maybe you're

a very happy this morning. It's also because of what you allowed it into

your ears. You're frustrated this morning because of what you have permitted to enter

your ears. And you are not frustrated but full of faith because you've also

allowed that to enter. See, the Bible says faith comes by hearing and

hearing by the word of God. So number one, you got to hear.

And what is it that you're hearing. Are you hearing the voice of

fear and frustration and anger and you know, I don't know kinds of pain

out there? Or are we hearing the voice and the word of God?

What are you allowing into your ears? How have you tuned your ears into

a trade tree to listen to the voice? Because when God speaks her,

when you really really hear God, you will have peace. If you go

away from hearing stuff and it causes you unrest, it's probably not God.

Because with God you can even hear bad news and go away happy not happy.

But you know you know what I say at peace. You can hear

even a bad medical report and still go away going My God is my healer.

You know you under said. So when you really, really, really

hear God's voice, you will not be shaken if you're easily shaken, it's

probably not God's voice. It may have sounded a little bit like him,

but you haven't tuned properly. And I want to encourage you to tune properly,

because even financially this year, you can be blessed if you hear right.

Your health can be blessed, if you hear right, your marriage can

be blessed if you are listening right. And it's not just about hearing it.

It's about listening because that could be like seventy of you in this room

nineteen hundred and you hear this message, and then later on when you walk

out, you forget. So a question we asked you, did you hear

Pass's message? You said, yeah, I heard, of course, But

did you listen? It is a different story, you know what I said.

So we need to hear in a way that changes our lives. We

need to hear in a way that it goes deep inside us and it shakes

our convictions, it shakes I know, our feelings and begins to bring about

a fruit that God desires. Somebody say, man, all right, let's

move on this. Want make sure that we are getting the scriptures right,

because I only have so much time, so Revelations. I tell you something

quick about Revelations because I don't waste too much time on this. In the

first few chapters of Revelations, God was talking to the seven churches. Revelations

is the last book, and when I look at the last book, it's

almost like God's last warning, of God's last advice. Okay, if you

don't get it from Revelation, I don't where youre gonna get it from.

Okay. It's like you know someone is dying on the on the bed,

and then you come and you visit. It could be your grandma, it

could be your longtime friend who is now going home to be with the Lord,

and he's breathing his last in the next one minute. His last words

are going to be very important. No, he's not gonna on his bed

with his last minute of breathing and say, don't forget to turn off the

lights, Upsett. No, he won't. Please watch out for the oven

and don't overheit the He's not going to talk talk to you about stuff and

that Marke, Sure you bring the umbrella when you go out to us.

It might be raining this evening. He's not he's going to use his last

words to tell you things that are so deep and so important. I've never

said this to you, but I love you. I've never told you this

before, but I'm proud of you. The words that will really this revelation

is like you better take it as like last words. All right, Okay,

So that's how important revelation is. Okay, this is the last book

already. And what does he say to all the seven churches? When you

read it? The beginning statement to the church is very different. There is

ear. I want to remind you how important the hearing is. It might

just save your life. It might just save your marriage, It might just

save your business. You got to hear this year correctly, choose to hear

the voice of the Lord. You might not like the messenger, but you

need to know the message is from God or not. Your heart has got

to really stir. Okay, what's the next one. I think it's in

verse eleven, he who has an ear? What's the next one, verse

seventeen. Maybe he who has an ear. This is a third church in

the year, the fourth church twenty nine, he who's an ear. It

starts all differently, but he ends all same. God wants the church to

have an ear. Fifth church. Chapter three, verse thirteen, he who

has an ear? Six church. Oh wow, sorry, go back,

go back, Thank you so much. Oh I saw it there. It's

three twenty two. Okay, here's an year, probably a seven lost count.

Okay, he hears an ear. All right, Now, let's look

at the last chapter. If you don't believe God is telling you God your

ear, God, what you hear. If you don't think it's important,

what the spirit is saying. If our ear is not listening properly, what

watch over your heart. In the NIV, if you have an NIV translation,

it says, God your heart, and most of us are actually like

that phrase. My wife lives it. God your heart, God your heart.

Ladies, don't give you to any boy. Guard your hearts are.

God. Your hearts are. Okay, God your heart, because out of

it spring the issues of life. God your heart, that's where life starts.

The message says, all right, so the second is your heart.

Wow, God looks at the heart. Man looks at the hour appearance.

God always looks at the heart. Is our hearts healthy today, because if

our hearts are not healthy, twenty twenty four will be the same, if

not worse than twenty two three. I can tell you right now, but

it can be better. Somebody say, man, if you watch what you

hear. Number one, So, if you're hearing gossip, and you're hearing

negative stuff, and you're hearing all kinds of stuff of last year, better

stop some somebody turn your neighbors say better stop. So how you don't believe,

say better? Stop? Ah so, and begin to tune your ears

to the voice and the word of God, because faith comes by hearing and

hearing by the word. Please do this for yourself, because I'm going to

do it for myself. I refuse to hear negative words. I refuse to

hear complaints. I refuse. I want to hear God's voice that brings me

peace and prosperity. Number two. I want to guard my heart these days.

I don't know why, but people get offended very easily. You know,

so easy. I mean from I mean my generation probably and upwards,

my dad's generation, my grandparents generation. They're little bit tougher a little bit

tougher today. No, don't smart, Are you really offended? Don't share

your head offended? You know, hey, don't be offended so quickly.

Uh. You know someone else said on your seat and you know you come

to XPG. How can you say my seat that I see here every week?

Offended? You know, don't because that's the enemy's plan. You read

the book Bait of Satan, the bit of Satan, which I think you

introduce to the team here. Bit of Satan. Uh is offense. He

is a bait he uses. You know, we are fish swimming in the

sea, and he throws in the bait and then we keep biting that bait.

And no, no, be a smart fish this year? Come on?

I did he say smart? Cookia be a smart fish? Recognize the

bait of Satan. He wants to pull it in and kill you. So

let's let's read on Philippines for six to seven? All right? How do

we got our hearts? Because you walk away from misplacing PASTA said, got

You want to make a big decision, but you have no peace to make

that too. You know, you know how peace comes. Peace comes when

you stop being anxious, and in everything, by prayer and supplication, you

let your requests be made known to God with thanksgiving. Maybe in twity tor

Entry you were not as thankful as in the past because sometimes that when complaints

come, you got more complaints than thanksgiving. So when you have no thanksgiving

and no prayer, your peace is gone. And when your peace is gone,

who gods your heart? No one, because you can't reach your finger

into your heart to guard it. So God already promises you are I will

got your heart my peace. The Prince of peace will do it. So

this year you get from the getting from the word. I must guard my

heart because out of it it flows the issues of life. So life comes

from my heart. If I'm going to prosper this year, life, prosperity

is going to come from my heart. And my heart is being filled with

the things I hear. So God, my ear, God my heart.

But how do you got your heart? Is the peace of God? And

how does the peace of God come through prayer? Through trusting God? Can

I hear a great man, praise the Lord. Let's move on, for

where your treasure is there your heart will be also wour powerful words. So

this year, God your priorities, God your treasure. If money has been

your treasure in Trady toy tree, put it second, put it third,

put it forth, put God back first. If promotion and work it has

been your number one, put your priority straight. Because where your treasure is.

And we find ourselves again and again in trouble because our hearts are not

in the right place, because our treasure is not in the right place.

If you're treasuring your boyfriend more than God, that's how you're smiling or your

girlfriend. Come on, seriously, be careful because if your girlfriend fails you,

that's where That's why last year you want you were so depressed. I'm

not I'm not speaking to anybody here. I haven't met you for one year,

so I don't know. I don't know your marital state, this,

I don't know your meritor states this so so. But I'm just trying to

is because you had treasured different things last year, and possibly not God as

number one, God your treasure. You will be able to take care of

your heart. Make sure your treasure is in the right place. What have

you treasured last year that has brought you to this place? You know I

I gave her my blessing first time. As I said, you know

I won't be with her for her birthday. But you know, men here,

husbands, you know when you treasure God more than even your wife,

you will you will hear what God is saying, even for your wife,

sacrifice uh, and sleep alone at all, to sleep alone all right,

conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that you may prove what is that good, acceptable, and perfect will of

God. Now in the Bible, many times heart and mind is interchangeable.

When when someone speaks about the heart, it actually speaks about the inner thoughts.

So that's why it's interchangeable with the mind, and the Bible says,

if you want to be transformed this year, don't be conformed to the world

or to even your friends. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

The word renewing is renovation. So this year I'll declare all of you,

let's start a renovation work Amen. Why didn't your room a bit la beautify

your kitchen. I don't know what you want to do, but you know,

nobody ever renovates to make your house smaller. One however, you ever

renovated somebody to make your house smaller. Make your room smaller. Every renovation

project is to make yourself bigger. Can we be bigger Christians? This year?

Bigger hearts? Learn to forgive bigger? Come on, Christians, turn

your neighbors said, Let's be bigger Christians? Come on, yeah, not

just in physical form. If you say that to me, I will say,

yeah, Amen, Praise God. Let's go for another buffet. Let

the buffet for us this year be God's work all right? Then you will

know the perfect way of God. How are you struggling with the will of

God? Like? Does God want me to be here? Doesn't want me

be there? Does God want me to change job? Doesn't go want me

to leave the country? My great, If you want to know the will

of God, be transformed by the renewer of your mind, and you will

know the will of God. Okay, if you're if you're struggling, maybe

because you're not yet transformed, you are still conforming Okay, let's move on.

Ah okay. A man, a good man out the good treasure of

his heart brings forth good, and the evil man out the evil treasure of

his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart,

the mouth speaks. So this is how it works. Are when you keep

allowing words to come in and you accept it right, whether it be bad

or good, it will fill your heart. And when it feels your heart,

your heart gets filled. And out of the abundance of your heart and

the mouth speaks. So if you are constantly bad news, bad mouth,

it will go in and fel fiel filled. And then after a while you

go like, why am I so frustrated? Why am I so angrier?

Why if I change? You look in the mirror, why have I changed?

You've changed? Because what happens is that your heart gets feeled. Now

you can you can also be good news and wonderful news and beautiful news and

God's word and truth, truth and faith, and you will also feel your

heart. And then watch because the third one we're gonna talk about his mouth,

and out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speed. No,

it doesn't have to be a vomit. Okay, it can be a blessing.

All right, let's move on. Mouth proverbs. For I'm looking at

my time, and I think we're still all right. It says here in

the NKJV, put away from you, deceitful mouth, and put perverse lips

far from you a deceitful mouth. Uh. Yeah, Deceit means half true,

half lives. It looks to be true, but actually it's a lie.

Uh. And you have believed in the lie and you keep talking.

So you put perverse and your mouth have become perverse corrupted, and you keep

only talking about corrupted things without knowing the real truth. And so in message

he says, don't talk out of both sides of your mouth. Did you

know you have both sides of your mouth? Faster, you look very good

today, Actually he doesn't. No, faster, you're really good looking.

Actually he's not really good looking. Yeah, so are you with me?

This is this is very important because if you live like that in twenty three,

that's probably why you are here. As in like where you are in

your condition, um hmm. In front of some people you expg really good

and they said, oh no, no, this just cannot and dying.

I know I still got friends. Okay, are you with me? Don't

Year, you're really happy? How many of you this years people say happy

New Year? Is yeah, sure, not really happy. Well, it's

because you brought yourself here. You brought yourself here to the first of January

in that condition. Now will you end the same way this year as you

ended last year? I pray not, I pray be better. Somebody say

amen, better, bigger, brighter, come on, praise the Lord?

All right? What else? What else? Let's move on. Okay,

see out of the buttons of the heart, the mouth speaks. We read

that earlier. We read it again many years ago. I was struggling with

preaching the gospel, preaching to my friends, preaching my family. I asked

God for boldness. God, maybe I'm shy, I'm scared. Give me

bondness. And the Lord you know what he told me. I can't tell

you very very behind the scenes secret communication between me and my God. Hear

it. And if you're angry, then don't worry about because it's just between

me and my Godda. But if you like it, then take it.

Okay, I give you to you free. I said, God, give

me bondness, give me courage. I don't know why I I can't speak

out your world and your gospel and in your kingdom to my family, to

my friends. And I said, God, give me bonus, give me

courage. God says, no, it's not about bonus of courage. I

said, what, so, I'm praying the wrong thing though? Have you

ever prayed the wrong thing before? Yeah? And you think it's the right

thing until the Lord. Ha. You hear God's voice, He says,

Kenneth, I guarantee you if your heart is filled with me, your mouth

will speak of me. So could it be, Kenneth, your heart is

not just that full of me yet? Because if you watch anyone that everywhere

they go they say this is because their heart is full of that. It

could be full of golf instead of God, and you'll be talking about God.

Everywhere I see people are practicing their swing in the pod, in the

toilet. No, not in the toilet, but I know anywhere they're just

practicing this. Sorry, I shouldn't have gone to the toilet. But because

you will have other imaginations. Ah okay, so you know, because because

you're so full of it. And that's why when you meet your friends at

whatever restaurant or mama whatever is that it's a new day. But it's all

all talk. Hey, how come ten times I say you are ten times?

So are you saying the same thing? Because his heart or her heart

will not allow that to happen. I can't allow it into my ears.

So I thought about a day. Maybe it would have Jesus holy praise God,

you know what would have the Jesus cursed word. So we went to

about day. It was good. And I'll tell you, so, what

what have you filled your heart up with? Is what you will say?

Do you agree? Do you agree? X meg? I used to hear

all right, Okay, I was shown a sign that I got ten minutes.

Okay, here we go. A death and life are in the power of

the tongue. You know this, So what have you been speaking? Twenty

twenty three? If you speak it, you will reap it. So please

says in Psalms one one nine, your word is a lamb to my feet.

You know, we started with the word with ears because faith comes by

hearing and hearing by the word of God. And we are ending with the

word this year. Can you all and I myself as well. Commit to

living by the word. Listen to the word, fill your heart with the

Word, with the voice of God. Tune if you have to tune it,

you to look at them, love them, forgive them, don't judge them,
