  1. You're listening to a message to go from ex church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. Today. I'm gonna share something that I hope

  3. will prepare you. It's actually gonna be a third part message because as I'm

  4. like laboring, a three parts are so. But today we're gonna do part

  5. one. Okay, uh, and we're gonna go all the way back to

  6. when the church started, you know, the first church in the Bible.

  7. So let's turn to X chapter two. Right, X chapter two. If

  8. you're writing notes, and I will encourage you friends, pick up the habit

  9. of writing notes so that you were growing your faith so that you will being

  10. you remember. Okay, So X chapter two and I'm gonna read from X

  11. chapter one. So let's go through some foundational understanding. First. I want

  12. to clear these offers so that we won't be confused, won't you argue you?

  13. Okay? So what is foundational said? Do you know that we're here?

  14. We are here. We are here as believers to proclaim the good news?

  15. Do you know that you know that what is the good news? You

  16. know what the good news is. We are here to proclaim the good news,

  17. and we're here to proclaim the Gospels. If you think that we are

  18. just here to clap hands and praise the Lord, you don't pray, and

  19. then you know, God bless my No, no, guys, you're clearly

  20. misaken now, because God's very clear we are here to proclaim the good news.

  21. Okay, that is our mandate. That is why Christ came on this

  22. earth. Not so that we can have a holy huddle. It's so that

  23. more people who know about him, more people are experiencing. That is the

  24. core of it. So let's not get that confused. If you want to

  25. disagreement, go ahead, we will have a debate after this. I'm very

  26. confident we've found these points. Okay, And where's the good news from the

  27. four Gospels? You know what the four Gospels is not some you're not what

  28. you're talking about. See, that's why I want to go through this foundation

  29. that you know, because understanding is powerful, and when you understand, you

  30. know what you know what to do. Okay. So the Foregus wills is

  31. man to you, Mark, Luke and John, those are the foregstwels.

  32. Why is the foreg'swelst important for us? Why y'all know? Yeah, it

  33. talks about Jesus. He's the main guy here, guys, right, He's

  34. the main guy. Right. If any other book you need to remember,

  35. you need to remember the foregst Wars because it is an eyewitness a count it's

  36. an eyewitness account of this guy called Jesus who came who we believe is the

  37. son of God and also men, son of men. You'll catch that.

  38. So the so we are here to do what proclaim the good news? Amen?

  39. Not just the Pastador, not just Evangelisa, all of us, all

  40. of us are here, are supposed to share about Jesus. Okay, let's

  41. let's get that down. Okay, understanding, let's talk about understanding. Don't

  42. worry. I'm not gonna not you. I'm just saying, let's understand this.

  43. Okay. So, and we need to know that it came from the

  44. fore Gospels, right, So we need to understand the FOG's post. Can

  45. I encourage you a little bit more before we start quoting scripture and doing other

  46. things? Can we go read the four Gospels first? Can we at least

  47. understand who this Christ is first? Before you won't start digging into le No,

  48. no, can we understand the fogstel these super foundational guys, Why is

  49. it so important that I'm stressing on it? Because if God's going to use

  50. you, He's gonna use you with the right foundation so that you won't have

  51. trouble next time. Right. So the for God's worls is important. It

  52. is an eyewitness account, and we trust this eyewitness account. Okay, So

  53. we're here to proclaim the good news. Then the question is what is the

  54. good news? What is the good news? Okay? So you might be

  55. butler because it's quite not but board normal practice. I want to get this

  56. off. Then I'll go into the other's things. Can can. So the

  57. good news is Jesus came to die for our sins. That is a good

  58. news. Why Because there's sin in this world, that's evil in this world,

  59. and it's in all of us. Okay, I'm not going to go

  60. to any philosophical or psychological debate about that, but we for now just accepted

  61. first and Jesus came to die for all sins because there is no other way

  62. to fulfill the law of God but true a sacrifice. Amen. So he

  63. replaced us. You know, when you do something wrong, you need to

  64. be punished. Well not I say need to be you can be forgiven.

  65. But you know, God is God. He cannot contradict himself. So he

  66. provided that. And what did Jesus do? This is a good news.

  67. He fulfilled the law. That's why Jesus said, I came to fulfill the

  68. law. I didn't come so that your can have just grace, grace,

  69. No, he came to fulfill the law. The only reason why we are

  70. made righteous now and we can call upon the Lord is because Jesus fulfilled the

  71. law. God never contradicts himself. You'll catch that. It's important to understand

  72. it's not because if not, then we live our life like like we got

  73. get get out of jail free cart. No, guys, remember there was

  74. a sacrifice. There was a sacrifice. Amen. Right. So he came

  75. to fulfill the law, and he redeemed us from our sin and the penalty

  76. of sin, which is death. Friends, that is the good news.

  77. Are you happy that you don't have to die? Are you happy that someone

  78. came and settled your bill? Right? Are you happy? Some? You

  79. know something? I feel some Christians they don't really know the good news.

  80. No, the Christians so long, but then they don't realize that the good

  81. news is actually very good, right, right? Why why he came to

  82. do that so that what we can have eternal life and become heirs of God.

  83. God accepts us into his family. Ready, that is what Jesus did,

  84. right, That's like he's so important to us. Amen, right,

  85. we can have eternal life. We believe in that. Right. Of course

  86. people argue about going to heaven and hell and all these different other things.

  87. Please read your Bible. It's not just a place, Okay, it's not

  88. just a place that we are. We are worried to go. Oh I'm

  89. scared. I'm scared. No, no, no, it's not just about

  90. fear. It's about living life. Right, So that is the good news,

  91. so that it's actually the news that we need you to share everybody,

  92. as simple as that. Do you know despite all that you're going to through

  93. your life, this for all that you're experiencing, all this evil in the

  94. world, all this messed upness, all this mental health, all this sickness,

  95. do you know that Jesus, this guy came down so long ago to

  96. die for your sins so that you can experience peace, so that you can

  97. experience life, so that you can have eternal life. Do you know that

  98. that is the good news. That is why we should focus on. That

  99. is what we should share. Of course, sir, that good news itself

  100. unlocks many many more other things like it unlocks the promises of God in unlocks

  101. being blessed, right, but blessed? Oh, you know, let's not

  102. talk about prosperity gospel, friends, blessed to be a blessing. If you're

  103. not blesser, how are you going to be a blessing? So you know

  104. where that's prosperity goes, what come from? It comes out when you are

  105. blesser, but you never do anything about it. Oh oh wow, Lord,

  106. thank you for the Lamborghinea. Thank you, thank you for giving me

  107. the Lamborghinea. Lamborghini cannot cannot fash you word church and no only got two

  108. sits there. Why do I emphasize on people coming to church because in church

  109. people hear the good news, not because I want the church to be bigger.

  110. Well, in a way, I want to church begure. You know

  111. why. The bigger the church, the more people know the good news.

  112. So it's not about numbers nor friends. Don't make let's make the main thing

  113. the main thing. You know, Sometimes our human minds are we tend to

  114. convolute things? Now, I'm going to keep it very simple. Are we

  115. preaching the good news to our friends? Our family? Is your friend going

  116. through a tough time with your heartbreak? Are they going through a difficult time

  117. in their job? What are you preaching to them? Sometimes we preach methods

  118. and businesses more passionately than the good news. But do you know that when

  119. they receive Christ their life will be changed as your life was changed. Do

  120. you know that having Jesus in your life, a lot of things will be

  121. different? We experience it, so you know I'm talking about why so hard

  122. to share with other people? Okay? Why so hard? Amen? It

  123. is a story of redemption from sin and evil by this one man. So

  124. that is the good news. Amen? You got dad? Okay, you

  125. know what we need to do? You know that is good news? Okay,

  126. God, lot other details, a lot of the things. Let's put

  127. it aside from now. Okay, Now let's talk about X chapter one,

  128. the first Church. Follow me, follow me in this journey. Okay,

  129. you've got questions, hold on. First, following this journey, I'm going

  130. to read the four of X chapter one so that we understand the former account

  131. I made o Theophilus of all that Jesus began both to do and teach until

  132. the day in which he was taken up, after he, through the Holy

  133. Spirit, had given commandments to the apostles whom he had chosen, to whom

  134. he also presented himself alive after his suffering by many infallible proofs being seen by

  135. them during forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom of

  136. God. That one paragraph is so important for us believers to remember. Jesus

  137. died on the cross, right, that's why it shed. But you want

  138. to know the powerful thing he resurrected from the day he was around for forty

  139. days? Why so that he can improved to everybody there he is alive?

  140. Why he hang out so long just for fun? No, there was a

  141. reason all the way until Thomas the doctor, I want to see to believe,

  142. and Jesus had to say, look at my hands. Don't you see

  143. the scars? You still don't believe. So for those of us here,

  144. your daughters, Jesus is still thinking of you. But believe. After you

  145. see, please believe. Don't be so stubborn. Amen. So Jesus came,

  146. He did all these things, okay, And then what happened? And

  147. being assembled together with them, he commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem,

  148. but to wait from the promise of the Father, which he said, you

  149. have heard from me. So what is the promise from the Father? He

  150. don't. I'm not asked you a question. Okay, we go deeper into

  151. for John truly baptize your water. But you shall be baptized with the Holy

  152. Spirit not many days from now. Therefore, when they had come together,

  153. they asked him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore the

  154. kingdom of Israel? See until now, the disciples not getting it because they've

  155. been expecting Jesus to come and save them. But Jesus wants to save the

  156. world. He preaches about saving the world for God, so love the world.

  157. He didn't say for God, so love Israel. Only for God,

  158. so love the world. But they still not getting it. They still Jesus,

  159. when are you going to come back to restore the kingdom? He said,

  160. well, I'll come back sooner. Right. And what was Jesus answer?

  161. And he said to them, it is not for you to know times

  162. or seasons which the Father has put in his own authority. Wow, this

  163. line is very important for us. How many of you here looking for finding

  164. life partner? Lord? When will I ever be married? And then you

  165. get his answer. It is not for you to know times or seasons which

  166. the Father has put in its own authority. Okay, I'm just joking,

  167. like you're so serious. Chill, chill, chill, chill. You want

  168. to find life partner? Very easy? Go and join the X y R

  169. Secret Search book reading. Then you will learn more. Then maybe the lot

  170. revealed to you, you know, amen, But you shall receive power when

  171. the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me

  172. in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.

  173. Very important point, the Holy Spirit. They didn't get it. Do

  174. you know that after the Holy Spirit came they got it? Do you know

  175. that after the counselor came they got it? Before this they didn't get it.

  176. They're still seeing what's in front. But when the Holy Spirit came,

  177. it was supernatural. Friends, Church, do you think you will go into

  178. your domain with your own strength or do you think you need God to do

  179. the supernatural in your life? You can go with all the wisdom of the

  180. Bible. Can I be honest? You can go with all the understanding of

  181. apologetics, but do you want to know what will convict people's hearts to follow

  182. Christ? The Holy Spirit, nothing else. Not you're convincing, not the

  183. amount of love you can give them. Of course, yes we still love

  184. them, right, but it's only by the Holy Spirit. We are just

  185. conduits of the Holy Spirit. So that also means that we need to receive

  186. the Holy Spirit. Amen. We need to walk with the spirit. Amen.

  187. Then He can work in our lives. But if you are not doing

  188. that, then it's very difficult, no wonder, it's difficult to preciate good

  189. news, you know, the type not open, open the type then the

  190. water will flow. Now, when he had spoken these things which they watched,

  191. he was taken up with a cloud who received him out of their sight.

  192. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven. As he went up, behold

  193. two men stood by them in white apparel or and I love this, okay,

  194. right, Basically they're all looking at Jesus. And then he went up

  195. to heaven and then Sunny, two guys Sunny appeared next to them, almost

  196. like, uh, I don't do that. I dot, I'm not sure.

  197. Like let's say someone standing here right looking at Jesus, and a person

  198. just like walk past, and then look at a person. And then they

  199. said, men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven?

  200. This same Jesus who was taken up from you into heaven will so come in

  201. like a manner as you saw him go into heaven. It's like, what

  202. are you still here? Can you please go home? He went up heaven,

  203. right, don't worry, Jesus come back the same way he went.

  204. Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olive, which is near Jerusalem,

  205. a seventh day's journey. And when they had entered, they were up

  206. into the room where they were staying. Right, so they stayed in the

  207. upper room, the atta's room, you know, like when you go to

  208. those like a shop blocks upsets called those people staying. Yeah, it's something

  209. like that, right, Quite a lot of them say that. Peter James,

  210. John Andrew, Phillip, Thomas Bartholomew and Matthew James the son of al

  211. Faeus, and Simon the Zealand and Judas the son of James. These all

  212. continued with one accord in prayer and supplication with the Woman and the Mary,

  213. the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers. And in those days Peter

  214. stood up in the midst of his disciples. Altogether, the number of names

  215. was about one hundred and twenty, well, quite a lot of people in

  216. the upper Rouma, men and brethren. The scripture had to be fulfilled,

  217. which the Holy Spirit spoke before by the mouth of David, concerning Judas,

  218. who became a guide to those who arrested Jesus, for he was numbered with

  219. us and obtained a part in this ministry. Now, this man purchased a

  220. field with the wages of iniquity, and falling had long, he burst opened

  221. in the middle, and his entrailed. Okay, a big gross became known

  222. to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, so that the field called in their own

  223. language a kill dama, that is fill of blood, for it is written

  224. in the book of Psalms. Let his dwelling place be desolate, and let

  225. no one live in it, and let another take his office. Oh,

  226. very interesting now that the Bible says that. So they talk about Judas,

  227. but they also say let another one take his office. Therefore, they of

  228. these men who have accompanied us all the time that the Lord Jews went in

  229. and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John to the day when

  230. he was taken up from us. One of these must become a witness with

  231. us of his resurrection. Long story shot, They got yourb disciples, one

  232. betrayed Jesus when and off himself. They only got eleven, and the scripture

  233. said someone will take his space. So they're just following scripture. That's oh.

  234. Was there any prayer? No, they just like, oh, the

  235. scripture say like that, we follow up. It was just like that.

  236. Now, guys, that's what happened, right, But how did he do

  237. it? And they prayed and said, you, old Lord, who know

  238. the hearts of all, show us which of these two you have chosen.

  239. And of course before that they proposed two guys, right, Joseph called Barsabas,

  240. who was surnamed Jewish Justice, and Matthias. Hey, Matthias, Mattia's

  241. behind right, Oh no, it's outside, okay, right, Show which

  242. both of you have chosen to take part in this ministry and apostleship from which

  243. Judas, by transgression, felt that he might go to his own place.

  244. And they cast their lots, and the Lord fell on Matthias, and he

  245. was numbered with the eleven apostles. I find it very interesting that the Bible

  246. actually had to have that part inside that they have to complete the child.

  247. What's so special about child? People? I think God can still use eleven,

  248. But because the scriptures say someone will take his place, they're like,

  249. I think you better follow right. But what happened after that? And this

  250. is the scripture for today? EX checked the two verse one to thirteen.

  251. When the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord

  252. in one place, and suddenly there came a sound from heaven and a rushing

  253. my tea in and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then

  254. there appeared to them divided tongues as a fire on the head right, and

  255. one set upon each of them, and they were all filled with the Holy

  256. Spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.

  257. Wow, Wow, what happened After Jesus went back to heaven, he said,

  258. I will send you a helper, as I have promised you. You

  259. are not going to be alone. Of course, they'll be like, oh,

  260. Jesus, you go back, nahawa, you came back. Then,

  261. let's do this together a lot. And you think about it now. They

  262. were disciples, but they were fallen manner. They were making mistakes all this

  263. while in fact they were recognized by other people as uneducated men. They don't

  264. know anything. That's like God used the foolish to make foolish the wise.

  265. Right, it is unexplainable. How can these people be so eloquent in their

  266. speech? You read the preaching by Peter, They'll be like this guy's a

  267. fisherman. Sonny can spain excellent? No, not excellent, but yeah,

  268. I mean right. And they were amazed, right, they were amazed.

  269. Do you know that the Lord will use you? When the Holy Spirit come

  270. upon you and the Lord uses you, maybe true prayer or maybe true a

  271. word. Do you know that the people that you will talk to will be

  272. amazed? They will be you know, they will be amazed. Wow,

  273. I didn't know, Tim Kuan can say that, you know, wow,

  274. how did Daniel know that I have this challenge? They will be amazed because

  275. it is not by men that it is revealing to you, but it's by

  276. the spirit of the Lord. And then you will be amazed. God,

  277. you love you know, you know, like you catch something and then suddenly

  278. you check whether you got spider powers. You don't get a memeric can mine?

  279. Right? You will be a mass because God's using you. So he

  280. told us that he will send the Holy Spirit, and through the Holy Spirit

  281. we will become witnesses. Amen. The Holy Spirit will be the one that

  282. gives us power, not the chosen few, not the passes and leaders.

  283. Everyone here, everyone here. Can you look at your nighbor and say you're

  284. going to get power, look at another another neighbor and say, the Holy

  285. Spirit will come upon you. X one it. So what happened? Let's

  286. starty a little bit. What happened? So they started with a prayer meeting.

  287. Friends, I don't want to knock you, and if you feel like

  288. knocking you, I apologize. But I want to encourage you. Come for

  289. our prayer meeting. You want to experience more God in your life, come

  290. for prayer. It doesn't have to be our prayer meeting on here. Just

  291. know that prayer plays a very vital role. Prayer plays a vital role in

  292. allowing God to move in your life. If your prayer life is a little

  293. bit, increase it today. Don't be deceived. Oh why it's not moving?

  294. Oh why is God not speaking to me? Are you showing in your

  295. prayer life? It is a spiritual discipline. You know what discipline does,

  296. right, Discipline is you have to work hard on you know. Let me

  297. give you an example. So this year I started a new discipline. Jimmy,

  298. that's my new discipline. Do you know that it's so hard to go

  299. to the gym? Right? I just bought weight so I can do it

  300. at home. Can I confess to you? I needed it once in the

  301. morning because I got so busy. But it's a discipline. And because it's

  302. a discipline, and I use you guys as my accountability partners, I will

  303. go to the gym tomorrow and Tuesday because I tell you already I have to

  304. go. Why Because I'm forced to go, Not because I want to go,

  305. right, but I'm forced to go. It is a discipline. There

  306. are certain things in our Christian life that is a discipline. We have to

  307. do one and sorry is borrying one. He's worrying. I mean not for

  308. long now when God is not boring anymore, because you'll be quite exciting.

  309. Right. But it is a discipline. So can you don't be deceived?

  310. Do you know what deception is? Deception is a thinking that we're doing the

  311. same thing. Then God will move God or bless and all that, and

  312. then we're like, oh, you know, no, friends, sorry,

  313. I'm so sorry. As the pastor of this, I need to caution you

  314. do not be deceived by the evil one. Do you know that if your

  315. spiritual discipline of quiet time and prayer is strong, do you know that you

  316. will be immovable? Do you know that when someone comes and say, hey,

  317. keen, you know this pastor like that, the pastor like that,

  318. the leader like that. Now do you know that God will speak to you

  319. because you have a spiritual discipline and you can look at the brand and I

  320. say, thank you so much for sharing me. I will go talk to

  321. the bust of myself because God spoke to me. Ready. I'm not listening

  322. to my friends, I'm listening to God. But you only can have that

  323. with a spiritual discipline. You can only have that if you know how to

  324. hear God's boys. But a lot of us here, sorry me, don't

  325. have sometimes, so then don't know, listen to people and then get sweet,

  326. you know, don't get sweet friends, do you know that there'll be

  327. more deception in the world today? More? You know? Let me tell

  328. you something I'm concerned about. We can still meet in church today. You

  329. can still come here, and we can still worship. We can see me

  330. in homes. Come the day we cannot meet, Come the day we cannot

  331. you cannot hear this preaching and all, how's your faith going to be?

  332. Let me be very honest to you. How's your faith going to be?

  333. Can I be even more honest? I am preparing for the day that maybe

  334. I won't go too much detail stuff. I'm preparing for the day that I

  335. might not have a Bible with me. So I'm trying my best to remember

  336. as many scriptures as possible because if it comes to a day where God forbid

  337. right I'm taken away and locked up somewhere and I have no Bible and I

  338. have no photo, I can still hold on to God because the scriptures is

  339. in my heart. Right. So I know it may seem a behavior,

  340. but hear my heart. Here where we need to go together, And as

  341. we are here together, let's keep each other accountable, Let's build one another.

  342. Let's not be so easily sweet, you know, because it's very dangerous.

  343. Now, it's so dangerous. People are so easily sweet. Let's speak

  344. truth in the situation. If there's rumors, addressing with truth, right,

  345. don't continue with the rumor. No addressing with truth. Hearing from the horse's

  346. mouth, talk to the horse itself, then you will know. Amen.

  347. Why did I talk about that? Now? So pray me think, so

  348. pray me think. They all continued with prayer and supplication. They were united.

  349. That was the one key thing about the disciples, one hundred and twenty

  350. of them. They were united. Remember what I talked to you about just

  351. now about our leader's conference. We were united. Wow, I'm so excited.

  352. Amen. And one hundred and twenty were there. Why because they believed.

  353. One hundred and twenty believed they fulfilled the scripture by choosing Matthias to take

  354. Judah's place. Do you know what that taught me? Or? Can I

  355. just give you this this thought that I have reading that there will be certain

  356. things that need to be put in order before God moves. There are certain

  357. things in our lives that we need to put in order. And it's boring

  358. one he was so boring? Lord, Who are Caslot choose no and after

  359. that happened, the Holy Spirit came. After things were in order, the

  360. Holy Spirit came. Do you know that God is a god of order?

  361. We got to remember that, no, friends, God is a God of

  362. order. There is order in certain things. You know. The Bible constantly

  363. teaches us that there is a certain structure to things. When it comes to

  364. leadership, when it comes to the way we lead our families, when it

  365. comes to our own faith, there is an order that we need to adhere

  366. to. And he's boring. Sorry, are used to boring a lota this

  367. time. But that's why I realize the exciting things in life are we all

  368. want to do. But sometimes the exciting things in life is fleeting. The

  369. things that are boring now are the ones that are important. And actually,

  370. I don't one. I don't one other things that we value, Okay,

  371. I try some words. Faithfulness. We all value that, right, don't

  372. we all value faithfulness in our marriages. I'm not just talking about you in

  373. our marriages. Faithfulness in our office, faithfulness if we have staff under us.

  374. Do you know that that's that? But do you know that faithfulness is

  375. not exciting? Because after you work in the company for five years, it

  376. is boring. You know, it's the same or same all you know?

  377. Do you know that? Sorryer, I know I might be blessed fiaming a

  378. little bit now, but do you know that? You know? Sometimes marriage

  379. can be a bit boring one because you see the same person every single day.

  380. Wake up. That's why married couples can I teach you a trick,

  381. make it exciting, go for a holiday together. But the reality it is

  382. worrying, right and if you if you're not careful, you'll fall in the

  383. trap of bottom. And then you'll come to a place where this young hot

  384. thing suddenly notice you in office, suddenly so exciting, and then people start

  385. saying things like, oh, you know, I've never felt like this before.

  386. Hello, wow, just the h That's how a fast start, right,

  387. Husbands, make it exciting for your wife once in a while. Whisker

  388. away right somewhere, whisker away, yeah on a horse? Right, we

  389. can find horse here? Not you know? But but am I speaking sense

  390. to your don't? Yes, faithfulness is boring, but we don't have to

  391. make it boring can be an exciting one. But what's more exciting. The

  392. why we all like to watch Korean drama and very exciting, so exciting.

  393. Imagine how a drama that is like he wake up every day, you see

  394. the wife, they love each other. He goes stick next day, he's

  395. all boring. Nobody watched the drama. But do you know when God when

  396. oh this person's mother, You know, with super we love it, but

  397. do you know that in real life it happens is very damaging. It is

  398. nobody wants to be in that situation. We like to watch on from the

  399. site. This white gossip is very juicy because when you hear gossip, it

  400. must be right, lad, it must be right. But actually the real

  401. reason is we're boring one. The real reason is so boring. But because

  402. so borrowing, we cannot believe. We want to believe that juicy bits.

  403. Must be some drama happening. One must have some politics happening, must be

  404. somebody against somebody, and guys, it's just a boring reason. Amen.

  405. They fulfilled the scripture. The day of Pentecost came, the Holy spreit came.

  406. What is Pentecost? Well, Pentecost just means the fiftieth day is the

  407. second of three great Jewish feasts. Right, you have the Passover Pentecosts.

  408. They cerebery yearly is the seventh week after the Passover, in grateful recognition of

  409. the completed harvest. So what happened in the day of Pentecosts? Okay,

  410. I read it just now, but let's just go to it real quick.

  411. Number one, the disciples were together, united in one place. Unity is

  412. so important. Friends, Unity in the church is so important. Don't let

  413. the devil destroy our unity. Don't let rumors destroy our unity. Yes,

  414. you know, yesterday we were having a leadership meeting and I love one of

  415. something. One of our brothers said, you know, when different drama happening,

  416. and then he said this, He said, you know, I believe

  417. that God has called me here and this is my home and we are our

  418. family, and you know, our family, sometimes we fight one and of

  419. course he use an example that we all love. You know, Sometimes we

  420. fight and then we don't talk to you sh other for a while. It's

  421. okay. Then we go and pray and then go to speak to us and

  422. then one person will say sorry, but we're still family. So just because

  423. of one disagreement, totally kaufla. No, We're still family. Can we

  424. get the unity and can I trust you to get the unity. Amen.

  425. And again, if I make a mistake, I apologize that. I'm sorry.

  426. I'm just a man. But we build it together. We need to

  427. be united, friends, We need to united. Your home leaders need you

  428. to be united with them. You know, don't give them problem byby already

  429. say don't give the leaders over you problem, right, because they have to

  430. take care of you, So work with them. Amen. There was a

  431. sound from heaven, a rushing, mighty win and it filled the house they

  432. were sitting. There were tongues of fire on each of them. The Holy

  433. Spirit filled them and they all spoke in tongues as the spirit gave them utterance.

  434. A crowd came, right, It wasn't in the private, No,

  435. a crowd actually came. It was such a big event that a crowd of

  436. people, actually, they actually came to see what happened? Right, And

  437. they were confused, given now right, confused. They recognized the disciples as

  438. Galileans. Immediately can see all these are the girl Galileans. But the thing

  439. that they couldn't understand is that why did the Galileans all speak in a different

  440. language? And I understand the language, you know, all spoke in their

  441. heart language. And the people that came, the crowd that came, if

  442. you read the scriptures, they came from many, many different places, all

  443. Jews, but all different places, all different dialects, all different understanding,

  444. right, And they heard them speaking in their own language the works of God,

  445. praise the Lord. God has the glory, God gets the glory.

  446. They profess through the Holy Spirit. They profess in languages that they didn't understand,

  447. the works of God, giving God the glory. That is what happened

  448. when the Holy Spirit comes. That is what happened when the Holy Spirit comes.

  449. And how did the crowd respond? Well, there were those who were

  450. amazed, so interesting, what is happening? And there were those they're trying

  451. to make sense of you ha ha ha, I don't understand. Did they

  452. go for classes? You know? Did they plan this? And the disciples

  453. were proclaiming of God's m new works in the language that they know. But

  454. there were also those who doubted. So, friends, when the Holy Spirit

  455. comes upon you and you act and you you know, obey him, do

  456. also know that you might face rejection? Do also know that people will be

  457. amazed? And that was so sure? Not not sure? Maybe no,

  458. lie I'm sure you know Daniel know about my case because he talked to someone

  459. now, right, that might happen. That might happen. Amen, So

  460. there were those that doubted. That's what happened and the rest I will continue

  461. in part two. Guys. Okay, so today I want to share about

  462. the Holy Spirit. So who is the Holy Spirit? Who is the Holy

  463. Spirit to us? And why is it so important? Oh? I thought

  464. Christian just accept Jesus in my hand and that's it. Really, No,

  465. the Holy Spirit is so important because it's not just accept my heart and that's

  466. it. Yes, we accept Christ in our hearts. We build a relationship

  467. with God. We grow in our faith. But do you know we have

  468. a purpose, which is to share the good news to people. If you're

  469. wondering what is the purpose of my life, the simple purpose is to share

  470. the good news. You have received eternal life. It's time for you to

  471. share something that with someone else. But of course we grow, right,

  472. We grow in our faith, we grow in our understanding of the Word,

  473. We grow in our experience with God. You know, I like how Drian

  474. shared just now experiencing that and that experience that you cannot take away from her

  475. because her experience. She said, I am now strengthening my faith. That

  476. happens continuously, and we spur each other on so we grow, and the

  477. more we grow, the more we can share. I can tell you she

  478. can just easily go and shay, Hey, you know what happened to me

  479. or not. This is my testimony. You know what God did for me.

  480. She's sharing the good news. You know God is so rare in your

  481. life. Yeah, he is, and that's something we all need to do.

  482. Amen. The first point we need to know about the Holy Spirit is

  483. that he's God. He is God, God the Trinity. Right. He's

  484. not just a win, He's not just No, he is a person.

  485. He can speak to us. We can speak to him. Very important.

  486. Some people explain, oh, holy spirits like electricity. Ah, not exactly

  487. correct. He is a person. We believe God the Trinity. Right.

  488. He is a gift when we repent and are baptized X two to the eighth.

  489. Let me read that. Therefore, let the house of Oh, sorry,

  490. wrong one. Then Peter said to them, repent, and let everyone

  491. of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,

  492. and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Friends, there

  493. is an order two things. We got to remember the order, right,

  494. there has to be repentance. Do you know that in the world today,

  495. not a lot of people preach repentance. They just preach acceptance. Oh,

  496. Jesus will accept you. But they forgot that we have to repent of our

  497. sins. They forgot that we have to lay aside our all and be born

  498. again. Friends? Are we laying aside the old and be born again?

  499. Or are we believing in just accept except accept There is only one way,

  500. and that's God's way. Jesus is the way. Amen. So repentance and

  501. then the Holy Spirit will come. Amen. He is also the spirit of

  502. truth. I'm just gonna ask actually to help John fourteen fifteen eighteen. Okay,

  503. let's read the whole tree scriptures. John fourteen fifteen to eighteen. Can

  504. I actually, if you love me, keep my commanments. It's good,

  505. right, my commments? Okay? And I will pray the Father and he

  506. will give you another helper that he may abide with you forever. Do you

  507. know that there is a promise? Do you know that the Holy Spirit will

  508. be with you forever? Forever? Oh? I's seen it. No,

  509. no, no, forever our friends, forever you repent really right, Yes

  510. we fail in all, but He's still with you, you know. Means

  511. you can see us for forgiveness. We're seeing grace. But don't take him

  512. for granted, la, because if you continue to reject repentance, then you're

  513. going to reject the Holy Spirit because that can happen. But he will still

  514. be with you, you know. So that's the wonderful thing about God.

  515. Right, the spirit of truth. This is so powerful in today's world.

  516. We need to speak truth and truth will set people free. What do I

  517. mean by truth? I'm not just talking about truth of the Bible. I'm

  518. talking about truth in our lives. Just now, I just mentioned to you,

  519. do not believe in lives. Believe in truth, do not believe in

  520. rumors. Seek the truth and you have confidence with the truth. When there

  521. are rumors and you're not sure, do you know that dob sets in.

  522. Maybe the more you have the maybe a dop sets in. And it's very

  523. difficult. No, stop it and say, I need to seek truth.

  524. Holy Spirit. Can you reveal the truth to me? What is the truth

  525. in this situation? Again, Now, we may not fully know everything,

  526. but we need to speak truth, and we need to know the Holy Spirit

  527. can reveal truth. What is the truth in our lives that we need to

  528. believe in? That is a question today, Amen, whom the world cannot

  529. receive? Ah, very clearly, they cannot receive truth. That's why you

  530. will get rejection. That's why you will get resistance when you speak truth in

  531. a situation, especially in a corporate world. People might fight you because you're

  532. spoiling things the world cannot receive. Right, the world cannot receive. But

  533. someone needs to speak truth, Amen, because it neither sees him nor knows

  534. him. But you know him, for he dwells within you and will be

  535. with you. He's the spirit of proof. He is our very important helper.

  536. Comforter counselor John fourteen twenty six. Right. The word that they use

  537. comforter helper. The Greek word is paraclatos. Right. It means someone called

  538. to one's side, call to one's aid. You know, you want to

  539. have someone that no matter what happens, you know they'll come to your aid.

  540. It's one who pleads another's course before judge. A pleader counsel for defense

  541. legal assistant and advocate. Right, He's an intercessor for us. The Holy

  542. Spirit so important, right, he's our helper, comforter and Counselor have we

  543. spoken to the Holy Spirit today? Have we engaged him today? If you

  544. not want to encourage you speak to him. He will guide you. He's

  545. not scary on our guys. It is comforting. It is God's Spirit on

  546. you. He will get you on. Or do you know that you're ask

  547. him for advice. He will speak to you any advice in your work,

  548. in your do you know parents, if you need help to take care of

  549. your kids, if you're going through a difficult time, ask the Holy Spirit.

  550. I believe he will reveal to you time and time again. He has

  551. revealed so many things to me. In fact, God has done so much

  552. for my life. I am just in awe. Yesterday we had a friend

  553. come over and give us the most care. I cannot believe that. Okay,

  554. but it's just me like as a parent, right because I see everything

  555. right and this person just said your kids are so well behaved, and I'm

  556. like, wow, I've never heard that before. And it was funny because

  557. after that I reflect on my wife, I'm like, actually, they're not

  558. too bad, la, but because maybe daddy you'll see everything. You're like

  559. sure and not help, but behave. But that was good, you know,

  560. and like, okay, I receive it like that well behaved, like

  561. praisecot And of course the person is sharing it on the perspective of like they've

  562. seen other children and they're like, oh, your kids are quite well behaved.

  563. I'm like, okay, thank you. I've never gotten there, but

  564. I can only equate it to God. I don't think it's me, you

  565. know, honestly, I don't think. I don't know. If you see

  566. me paranaw, you'd be like, oh no, I hope, I'm praying

  567. I don't give my kids trauma. You know. Let me tell you something

  568. funny, and I know you don't have time. So so now we have

  569. a Y A Creatives Day, right, basically a YA the company I work

  570. for, we are supporting VA by doing different things. So everyone say we

  571. have Creatives Day. And then one of the Wednesdays I had the chance to

  572. do some teaching, you know, like coach right, and at its really

  573. funny, and then both my kids are dead in the primary section and they

  574. saw daddy but of course cannot talk because I'm coach Elvin, right, I'm

  575. not, you know. And also funny because after the whole session I went

  576. back. I asked my eldest son, I say, how is it,

  577. you know, the creatives? And he's like, yeah, I kind of

  578. enjoy it. It's not too bad, you know, And then he quiet

  579. for all and then suddenly he said, but you were creepy. Yeah,

  580. I tell you I will. Huh what do you mean by that? May

  581. you look at me? He like, you kept smiling all the time.

  582. Like now, I try to think, like why did he say that?

  583. Damn? Like oh, because when I'm like now, so I'm smiling all

  584. the time. Right then I realized when I with've done at home, I

  585. don't need smiler, Damn, Like I tell me to smell more. But

  586. super Fanilla, because when you're out there it's different. I'm like presenting,

  587. you know, with the other kids. I cannot be like, you know,

  588. dead face with the other kids. Right, So it's quite Fuanilla when

  589. you say that. But he's out comforted. Do you know that when we

  590. want we've got, even in the areas that we have no revelation of,

  591. he will help us. Do you know that? He said? No,

  592. I think there's a scripture somewhere, hopefully you can find. Yeah, Romans

  593. eight twenty sixty. You know, let's go to that. That's the next

  594. cicture. Likewise, the Spirit also helps us in our weaknesses, for we

  595. do not know what we should pray for in our lives. We do not

  596. know as we ought. But the Spirit himself mixed intercession for us with groanings

  597. which cannot be attered. Wow. God, Wow, when we accept the

  598. Holy Spirit and when we walk with him, Wow, even in the areas

  599. that I cannot think, you are taking care of it. Yes, that's

  600. so powerful. Amen. You know when we and then these are other better.

  601. When when we when the Holy Spirit dwells in us, we have the

  602. fruit of the Spirit. That's in Galatians chapter five, US twenty two to

  603. twenty three. You can go read read it on yourself. And the final

  604. scripture that I want to you know, live it us is Mi ca trea

  605. it Michael treat What does he say? But truly I am full of power

  606. by the Spirit of the Lord and of justice and Mike to declare to Jacob

  607. his transgression and to Israel his sin. The Bible time and time again says

  608. that you will receive power. Friends, do you feel powerful today? Someone

  609. say no, it's okay, you will receive power. It is not just

  610. or only for the pastor needed, you know, only for the No.

  611. No, no, no, everyone here because we need more winnesses, not

  612. less. The Bible says the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

  613. Do you know what that means. It just means that people who are

  614. willing a few, not the people that believe. You know, people that

  615. believe a lot, but the people are willing a few. I pray today

  616. you will be willing. I pray today you will receive Amen. I don't

  617. know whether I have enough time to do this, but I was hoping.

  618. I'm not sure that we're doing it today. We'll see. I was hoping

  619. to spend a bit more time ministering and praying for all of you here,

  620. because I say, God wants to do something, but we've got to be

  621. willing. And I hope that you have an understanding. Maybe in the beginning

  622. you don't have, but then I'm giving you understanding, understanding of where we're

  623. hitting, understanding of how the Holy Spirit can come and move in your life.

  624. And I'm sure some of you hear you know already, right, but

  625. a clearer understanding of where we're moving forward, amen, because God really wants

  626. to do something in your life. Has that been a lack? Maybe that's

  627. a question I'll ask, do you feel lost? It's time to engage God

  628. again. You've been faithful doing all that you know, and maybe once in

  629. a while you pray, and maybe once in a while you're like, okay,

  630. but friends, can we wrestle with God? This whole money? I

  631. was wrestling with God. I say, God, you come true. You

  632. come true. It's not me, you come true. Your people need to

  633. experience you. I've been wrestling with God today. Have you been wrestling with

  634. God? When Jacob wrestler, We've got God anointed him. Of course he

  635. he dis to get to his hippler, but God anointed him and said,

  636. Israel, he renamed him. But he wrestled. You know him. Don't

  637. need a wrestler anymore. How about us stop living in captivity, stop living

  638. being deceived, Stop listening to well. I'd like to use to win nonsense

  639. because it's a more friendly way to say, stop listening to nonsense, start

  640. speaking truth. If there's anybody coming to create trouble. Can you stop the

  641. plan and say, hey, hold on, I don't want to listen to

  642. this because he's not right. I want to honor my leaders, I want

  643. to honor the church. I want to honor my life. I don't want

  644. to protect in all this because he's not right. Let me stay away from

  645. it. You know, I don't want I don't want no, no God.

  646. I don't know dishonor you. You know when when King David was running

  647. away from Saul, and Saul was sleeping in the tent his own guys know,

  648. come come, he's here, better kill him off. King David was

  649. a man after God's own heart. He knew. He said, no matter

  650. what, no matter how bad this person is, God, still he's still

  651. the loss. Annoyted, I'm not gonna touch I did not I did not

  652. dishonor God. So let me leave it. When the people around you know

  653. they mean well, I'm not saying they are awful. People know they mean

  654. well. But what is the testimony? Something we gotta ask ourselves that question?

  655. What will be my testimony? Do you know that if if I myself,

  656. I use myself for example, if I am I don't know, maybe

  657. really not doing something good and you don't know about it. Do you know

  658. that remove me? Can I be as humble to say that? Do you

  659. know that I don't deserve to be here? Go remove me? You don't

  660. have to do anything. Go remove me, and someone else would take my

  661. place. Because God cares for you too much to allow those things to happen

  662. when you have no control. That's why God is the one that is here.

  663. Amen. We hope you've been blessed by this message. For more information

  664. on our church, please visit as church org. We are also active on

  665. Facebook and Instagram. We're believing that this week is going to be a good

  666. week ahead for you. God bless
