  1. You're listening to a message to go from acts church. We hope this message

  2. will light up your day. We are a church, we are a body

  3. of Christ. It's not just a building. This is actually a diatle hall.

  4. We've been meeting here for the past what twelve to thirteen years. I

  5. remember there was a time where we we well, we lost our building in

  6. hy ten I think ten twenty eleven, and then we we came to this

  7. realization that church is not just a building. It's not just having a building

  8. with a cross. That's the church is the people that is in the building.

  9. It is the people that make the church. Your homes is a small

  10. church. There are some small churches. As a large exam about homes here.

  11. You know our understanding of church and position and pastor and organization. It's

  12. the organization helps us to be organized. Hence the world organization. You know,

  13. there is a hierarchical structure that is leadership. And you see all of

  14. these things are things that God said there has to be ordered, there has

  15. to be leadership because if not, then you know, the Bible says without

  16. vision, my people perish when there's no vision. You know, the world

  17. is at a place right now where everybody is on their own. You know,

  18. they're going against leadership, they're going against authority. Instead's very that's a

  19. very dangerous thing because the ultimate authority is God. You know, the ultimate

  20. authority is God. And within a church like us, we meet on a

  21. Sunday because that's what the Bible taught us to do. You know, we

  22. meet. Of course, differentiatures meet differently. We meet in smaller groups,

  23. breaking back from house to house. You know, at the end of the

  24. day, even if you are just meeting with each other, that is house

  25. or house, when you fellowship one another, when you talk about the Word,

  26. when you go deeper in the Word, that is the life of a

  27. church. It's not just about the structure or how many times you meet.

  28. It's not just about that, because if we just think about that, then

  29. it's going to be about a rule and law. It's not a rule and

  30. law. I share this before I think why do we do what we do?

  31. Please go and find out why do we meet once in two weeks?

  32. Some to just meet every week for prayer service and every week for homestore,

  33. but sometimes except we don't do that. No, once in two weeks,

  34. once in two weeks even then. Also some of us find it very challenging

  35. because we're always busy people. You know. I think if we come to

  36. this place where we miss the point, then we will start complaining. I

  37. think if we come to a place in our own life, if we miss

  38. the point of coming on Sunday, of even worshiping God, then it becomes

  39. an issue, you know. And can I be honest with you, the

  40. church will still continue or no XPJA as much as the Lord wills it,

  41. we will still be here at nine thirty am on a Sunday. Things are

  42. not going to change even if I mess up, okay, and I'm human,

  43. I'm very aware that I can. And there's no longer passed that we

  44. maybe you know, Daniel, or step up and take my place. Who

  45. knows, well, there'll be quite interesting man African church. The churchill continue,

  46. you know. It doesn't build just on myself because God is the one

  47. that's in charge of the church. So my encouragement for us is understand your

  48. place in this family. I use the word family because family we get when

  49. we do things like come for prayers. There was a powerful testimony when I

  50. God thanks so much. I didn't even know that that happened. You know,

  51. we're not just getting us to join a program. You grow in your

  52. faith when you step out in faith. She stepped out in faith and God

  53. healed her. If she stayed at home, I don't know. You can

  54. say, oh, God can say, hey, what can But she stepped

  55. up in faith and because she stepped that in faith, God killed her.

  56. Everywhere in the Bible it is all about faith, and the Bible said without

  57. faith, it is impossible to please God. Do you want to please God?

  58. We subscribe to this idea that God is great, God is good,

  59. that He's so good that no matter what happens, no matter what I do,

  60. He's going to be okay with it. No, he's not. He

  61. will be okay with it. He will forgive you. Yes, but you

  62. got to repent. I think I shaid that in the last round. So

  63. I pray that we will catch that. I'm on this journey of educating people

  64. because I believe as I am educated. When I say educating, I'm not

  65. just talking about, you know, but education in terms of understanding of the

  66. word of God, a clear understanding, because with a sound mind and we've

  67. God's word, we can overcome. Right. That's something that we have,

  68. But how do we get a sound mind? True only love? You know

  69. who's love, Jesus love right. And when we understand, we can navigate

  70. challenges. When we don't understand, challenges become harder and we scramble. But

  71. when we understand, we understand the challenges. I know that, Sorry,

  72. we might be bought hearing these examples. I know that to lose weight,

  73. I need to increase my gym activity or exercise activity, and I need to

  74. eat less calories so that there's a deficit so that will lose Wait, it

  75. is not fun or easy or enjoyable during the process. It's enjoybent after the

  76. cost. Dobamans and stuff like that. Okay, but it is not fun.

  77. But I do it because I know and I understand. If I didn't

  78. understand that, it would have been very suffering. You'll get that if I

  79. didn't understand why I'm saying no to sugar, why I'm saying not to ice

  80. cream, why I'm saying no to the cakes that come away, thankfully,

  81. naturally, I don't really like cakes. When I don't understand it, then

  82. it will be just suffering. So my encouragement to all you hear is don't

  83. just do understand, read God's word. Go deeper because when you go deeper,

  84. you will not be tossed to and fro by opinions, by ideas.

  85. No, you will know, the Bible says the believers will know when Jesus

  86. comes back. If you read your Bible, you will know. If you

  87. don't read your Bible, you won't know. Right and coming on Sunday and

  88. just listening to this, thank God, not just you anymore? Guy.

  89. Share It's not enough. It's not enough. Me saying I will only change

  90. one of my meal a week to lose is not enough. We need to

  91. go deeper, friends, We need to go deeper. Yes, we're all

  92. busy, Yes we don't have time. That's why we encourage one another to

  93. go deeper. And that is my encouragement for you. No more excuses.

  94. Just do it. Hashtag not Nike, not sponsored by them at all,

  95. are guys? Okay? Okay? So I've been one thing to share this

  96. word and I think you guys are ready, I hope, and I'm just

  97. going to deliver it and I pray it receive it, okay, very important.

  98. I pray that you will receive why delivered? Okay? There is no

  99. condemnation here, guys. I'm not pointing out to people. I'm just sharing

  100. the word of God. And I've been on this series about our church and

  101. our church journey, about how the first church started, about how the Holy

  102. Spirit came, you know, about the first evangelistic message and this understanding that

  103. we need to repent from our evil ways and follow Christ. Have we done

  104. that? About how the church came together right, and God's plan for the

  105. church. And I pray you guys will be ready to receive the word today.

  106. So the title today is to not be overcome by evil, but to

  107. overcome evil with good. Heavy topic. Let's read God's Word Romans twelve nine

  108. to twenty one, Romans chield nine to twenty one. I encourage all of

  109. you here to bring a printer bible. And if you do not have one,

  110. buy one. You got no money to buy one, let me know

  111. I will buy one for you. Don't rely on your phones. It is

  112. distracting. There will be pop ups and notification and you'll get distracted. There

  113. is no pop up and notification for a printer bible. The only pop up

  114. and notification you get from a printer bible is from the holy Spirit, and

  115. think that one is one you want to answer. Are guys Okay, it

  116. says here in Romans twelve. Be Let love be without hypocrisy, aphol what

  117. is evil, cling to what is good. Be kindly affectionate to one another,

  118. with brotherly love, in honor, giving preference to one another, not

  119. lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope,

  120. patient in tribulation, continuing steadfast in prayer, distributing to the needs of

  121. the saints, given to hospitality. Bless those who persecute you, blessed,

  122. and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those

  123. who wait. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set

  124. your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be

  125. wise in your own opinion. Ouch repay no one evil for evil. Have

  126. regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible,

  127. as much depend on you, as much as depends on you, Live

  128. peaceably with all men. Beloved. Do not avenge yourselves, but rather give

  129. place to wrath. For it is written vengeance is mine. I will repay

  130. you, says the Lord. Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed

  131. him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink, for in doing

  132. so you will heap coals of fire on his head. And the last verse

  133. says, do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

  134. Hey, be stuff, guys, And the title here says, behave like

  135. a Christian. I'm sharing this you are with fear and tremling gos. As

  136. I read some of it, I think fifty percent or so I cannot fifty

  137. percent of so I cannot, okay, if I be really honest. So

  138. a question for us to reflect upon this morning. Are you partaking of evil?

  139. I don't ask that in a questioning, but I ask that in a

  140. consideration. Are we particking of evil? Or are we a proponent of good?

  141. What are we? Okay? Okay, before we go there, let's

  142. just establish something. Can we establish something? Let's establish a truth? Okay,

  143. because you're talking about good and evil, right the fight of all ages.

  144. When the Bible talks about evil, it talks about the influence of evil

  145. in our lives. Think about that for a moment. We establish something.

  146. Okay, we established something. Emphesion six Child says for we do not wrestle

  147. against flesh and blood. What is fresh and blood? Look at your neighbor.

  148. Does that look like fresh and blood to you? We do not wrestle

  149. with flesh and blood. Okay, some of people probably see they look more

  150. flesh than anything else. But joke there, you don't get Okay, mind,

  151. let's not go there, but against principalities, against powers, against the

  152. rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the

  153. heavening places. See, the Bible already cautions us when you fight against evil.

  154. You do not fight against flesh and blood. You do not fight against

  155. people. You don't not fight against but past that elving humans are evil.

  156. Yeah, let's go deeper. You do not fight against that. Okay.

  157. I need to establish this first before I go further, because I think a

  158. lot of us struggle. It is because I struggle. It is until God

  159. opened my eyes. How are you able to bless your enemy when they're evil

  160. towards you? How are you able to bless your boss, bless your parents,

  161. bless the people that hurt you? Think about it. We have to

  162. establish a few things first, because when we establish these things, then you

  163. will understand why the scriptures say bless those who curse you. So the first

  164. thing you got to remember, you're not fighting against people. Okay. The

  165. scripture in the Bible tells us that we are not fighting against people, but

  166. against ideologies, influencers, rulers of darkness, spirit, the spirit is wrong,

  167. the attitude and the spirit of the person is not right. We are

  168. fighting against those things. We are fighting against wickedness, not people, all

  169. these things. Okay. So if that's the case, can I come to

  170. a conclusion that people are not inherently evil? They are not, but they

  171. can be influenced by evil, and they can act upon evil. You'll catch

  172. that. How do you hate the sin and not the sinner? You got

  173. to understand this. I use those words that you can connect the dots.

  174. Okay, let me help you a little bit more to accept that the fight

  175. is not against people, but against the influence that is in the lives of

  176. people. Number one, we all got to have this true. First,

  177. we are all made in the image of God. Look at your neighbor and

  178. say you are made in the image of God. Look at your other neighbor

  179. and say, I am made in the image of God. See you though

  180. about God, star you're happy, right, Okay, that's the first point

  181. we got to understand. We are all made in the image of God.

  182. No matter how cruel your boss is, a he is made in the image

  183. of God or she. No matter how cruel your your parents think they are,

  184. they are made in the image of God. Correct not? This truth

  185. is the truth? Right? Hey, you cannot contradict yourself. No,

  186. it's the truth. We're all made in the image of God. People are

  187. good inherently because they are made in God's image. But what happened along the

  188. way God happened for people who don't understand bahassa karat means rust. The longer

  189. you leave something out there and don't take care of it, you'll start rusting.

  190. Okay. Second truth, I share a few and this is in the

  191. Bible. This truth change my perspective on a lot of things. Psalms one

  192. three nine fourteen says we are all wonderfully and fearfully made by God. He

  193. knows the hair on our head, he knows the future he has for us.

  194. Think about the most evil person you know you won't be able to admit

  195. it. Think about the person you don't really like. That person is wonderfully

  196. and fearfully made by God. Can you accept that the truth has to come

  197. first? Let me go deeper. You got that understanding that we are all

  198. wonderfully and fearfully made by God, every single one of you here. This

  199. has changed my perspective as pastor. You ask me now now alah, okay,

  200. how long the island is? A few years? And me before that,

  201. let's just say internally a very judgmental you don't hear it. But ever

  202. since I understand that truth, my perspective has changed. Yes, people are

  203. not perfect, but they are still made in the image of God, and

  204. they're still wonderfully and fearfully made by God. They still have the potential to

  205. do good no matter what first truth. This will change the way we look

  206. at our bosses. This will change the I are using boss cous bosses over

  207. us and most of them we all don't know bosses like I love my bosses.

  208. Care by the way, oh, by the way, pass I cannot

  209. sense it's love and regards to all of you. He does, he does,

  210. he will love to be area. I think it's ministry and x K

  211. K passes and right as well. They are our spiritual Mom and Dad.

  212. We got to catch the truth guys that no matter how evil someone is,

  213. they are made in God's image and God has a plan for them. All

  214. of you here, you have the potential to do good. I use the

  215. word potential couse haven't happened yet. No matter how horrible a person is,

  216. they are still God's children. That has changed my perspective when I look at

  217. someone who is not the same as me, when I look at the special

  218. needs child, that's how I look at them. That person is fearfully and

  219. wonderfully made by God. And that is potential. Even if the child is

  220. violent, Even if the child is difficult, even if the child people give

  221. up already because they tried everything, that child is still made in God's image

  222. and still wonderfully and fearfully made by God. And that child still has this

  223. word potential to be great. You can believe in that, right, you

  224. can believe in that. Okay. So I established two troops. So now

  225. let's go deeper, are you guys, okay? Genesis it says then God

  226. said, let us make man in our image according to our likeness. Let

  227. them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the bursts of the

  228. air, over the cattle, over all the earth, and over every creeping

  229. thing that creeps on the earth. So God created man in his own image.

  230. Men no, which he later was said about which he later wanted to

  231. kill off. Men. No, he created parents. You understand this.

  232. You created your kids. What Sometimes you feel like you just want to get

  233. them right? But are they bad? No? Is the influence that God

  234. to them? It is the sin, not the sinner we got to catch.

  235. It's true. So God created man in the image of God. He

  236. created he male and female. He created them. Then God bless them.

  237. God say to them, be fruitful and multiply. Feel the earth subdue it.

  238. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the bursts of the

  239. air, over every living thing that moves on the earth. Why do we

  240. have authority in this place? God has given it to men. He has

  241. blessed men, has blessed you. Okay, it is an unconditional blessing.

  242. Friends. Why the person so weaired still successful? I didn't see any condition

  243. there. But of course God, they say, if someone is weaired and

  244. continue in his waste, they will lead to destruction. God also say,

  245. if you continue to stay insane, he will And I'm in death right.

  246. God is not conditional, well conditional to select stennerd. So God is Man

  247. is in man's own image. I mean sorry, God made men in his

  248. own image. If you still don't believe me, let me ask you this

  249. question. Do you think that God made a mistake by making you? Do

  250. you think that God made men with a buck programming for those of us whow

  251. callders, you will laugh, you see leading laugh Aday signs. You're write

  252. you write code right, you will be perfect. You will miss up something

  253. and there's a bunk in the system that's that it doesn't function as well.

  254. Do you think God made that God created something that has a flaw in it?

  255. God? No, you're talking about God. No, here this understanding

  256. of your God, my God, Nola, God made a mistake, lad

  257. God never makes mistakes. Man does? God doesn't? Or was it that

  258. man was corrupted by sin? Man was corrupted by what the serpent and devil

  259. did. Our minds can be corrupted by this world. You'll agree. This

  260. is very apparent with kids. You can see one very innocent and then what

  261. they watch, monkey see monkey do? Right, the moment I start seeing

  262. my kids talk about something that I've never taught them I ask them where is

  263. it from? Because it comes from somewhere. It won't suddenly come. It

  264. comes from somewhere. There's an influence somewhere, there's a lingo. That's why

  265. I am a bit sensitive about the way people talk, because it will come

  266. from somewhere. If you believe in Jesus, you will speak Jesus. If

  267. you believe in other things, you speak other things. So how are you

  268. speaking? Because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouse speaks right

  269. again. No condemnation now, because all of your awesome people, I'm just

  270. sharing. So what is the influence? Our minds can be corrupted. It

  271. is the state of mind and the motivation. That's why I'm telling you with

  272. all conviction that I can mess up because I can be corrupted. If I'm

  273. not careful, I can be corrupted. I can mess up. I can

  274. make mistakes, I can believe in something that I shouldn't believe it. If

  275. I am not careful, doesn't matter. If I'm passed off the church doesn't

  276. matter. If I have twenty years we've got doesn't matter. If I believe

  277. that doesn't matter. All it takes is a suburn to come helvy. This

  278. fruit very nice. Right, nobody is watching. Why don't you just click

  279. open the Netflix and watch this show. It's okay, the serpent, that's

  280. cunning, it's okay. Nobody will know. Your wife say it's fine see

  281. things like that. Of course, my wife not won't say things that is

  282. fine. Okay. Sin corrupts us and ultimately it can lead to death.

  283. That's why when God works in our lives, it is painful. Sometimes.

  284. When God works in our lives, God wants to touch everything because God wants

  285. us to be perfect. We are not perfect. We have been corrupted by

  286. this world. We have been corrupted by ideologies, right, by different thought

  287. processes. That's why when we become believers, it is a transformation of the

  288. mind. It is changing the way you think, changing the way you look

  289. at people, changing the way you look at the world. Right, it's

  290. not necessarily well. Sometimes it's emotional, sometimes it's not. Most times,

  291. it's the way we make decisions. God wants us to be perfect. He

  292. wants us to follow in his will. He wants us to please him,

  293. to end in faith. But the reality is we are staying here in this

  294. world. This world's messed up. Right, when we go out there,

  295. we're going to meet more people, not just Christians, all kinds sons.

  296. You mean Christians, So you don't know because Christian also we need Jesus.

  297. That's why we're here. Church. It's not full of perfect people are Church

  298. is full of broken people that know that we need a perfect God. So

  299. don't kid ourselves. We don't want to be judged, but we judge other

  300. people. Don't kid ourselves. Genesis Tree, let's read you guys. Okay,

  301. I told you it's going to be deep, right. I hope you

  302. guys will be able to receive it. Let's go, Genesis. Let's study

  303. a little bit. How did it happen? How did this perfect God which

  304. created a perfect man everything is perfect? What happened? How come suddenly corrupted

  305. until today we're dealing with it? Why is child of painful came from there?

  306. I wouldn't even blame if I blame the guy as so little. We'll

  307. read out a little bit more about it, you guys. Okay, Genesis

  308. Tree, Now the serpent was more cunning than any beasts of the field.

  309. Okay, let's back track a little bit. Now, God made the heaven,

  310. said the earth, God made man, and God said it was good.

  311. Hey, God said good war, God perfect war. He is a

  312. perfect God. He's an all power for God. Why do you say good?

  313. Because it was good? It was good. That was the way it's

  314. supposed to be. No sickness, no death, presence of God every day.

  315. It was good. But but the serpent was more cunning than any of

  316. the peace of the field which the Lord God has made. And he said

  317. to the woman has God indeed said you shall not eat every tree of the

  318. garden. We can actually learn quite a lot of values with this scripture,

  319. and I will encourage you go read because it all starts with a question.

  320. It all starts with doubt. Soon sometimes we're so confiment in something and we

  321. say it is the way, and then all we need is one doubt.

  322. One doubt maybe not maybe not so pure maybe maybe maybe maybe will come and

  323. it will shake the care of your foundation. Are you sure Jesus can save

  324. her? But you're going through so much trouble now? Are you sure you

  325. should devote your life to Christ? Are you sure you should commit to this

  326. home, sir? Are you sure you should you know, open up your

  327. life to Pola? Are you sure you should prayer? Are you sure,

  328. this is sauna. It starts with that one thing. Did God really say

  329. you cannot eat? The serpent were spart no, what did you say?

  330. If quite blurlah? And the woman said to the serpent, we may eat

  331. the fruit of the trees or the garden. We can. I'm answering a

  332. question. I'm saying yes to your question. You're asking a question that it's

  333. like a by the way question. Okay, But the fruit of the tree,

  334. which is in the middle of the garden, God said you shall not

  335. eat it, nor shall you touch it less you die, which was the

  336. truth? If spoke the truth, this is the truth. This is what

  337. I need to follow. This is what I need to do. Right then

  338. the serpents say to the woman, you will not surely die. So I

  339. asked you a question that you confirmed, and then I give you a lie.

  340. But I didn't just give you a full lie. I back up that

  341. lie, for God knows. See, you won't die, Jason, because

  342. God knows responsibility to God, not you, not me. God you won't

  343. die, but God knows what God knows. God knows that in the day

  344. you eat it, your eyes will be open. If not, why he

  345. put the tree there right, you'll be open and you will be like God.

  346. You will know good and even that's a good thing, so you should.

  347. The Saban didn't say this, disobey God and do it. No,

  348. the just say why are you obeying him? God is keeping the good stuff

  349. to himself? Isn't it evil? Thoughts? Why you if saying no,

  350. I cannot do it because I'm supposed to just die that, you know,

  351. I trust God. God is the one. No, no, no,

  352. no, no, he knows. Do you know that there is a lie

  353. as well? Because we just read that God made man and woman in his

  354. own image. He made men and woman in his own image. And the

  355. serpent claim that you will be like God? Isn't he a contradiction? She

  356. already is like God. She doesn't need the fruit of good and evil.

  357. She doesn't need it. But why did the serpent entice her to think that

  358. she needed? You know, Actually a lot of things are It is quite

  359. powerful because when I read this, I'm like, Wow, Lord, I

  360. guess there's the key to content man. Actually a lot of things that we

  361. need in our life now God has given to us, But he's always envy.

  362. Daniel has a nice blue shirt and tie and souit. I don't have

  363. this jacket I've been wearing for ten years. Ready I want his blue jacket.

  364. No, no, it's envy. Wow my friend that they drove the

  365. latest evy car to my house and poisoned me. Now I want to drive

  366. an ev car electric vehicle. Okay. By the way, sin comes to

  367. corrupt what is already good. Be careful, Bible always say, don't be

  368. deceived, canna be pol ready if actually you have, but the serpents say

  369. you don't have, and you need to disobey God to get what you think

  370. you don't have, which you already have. Ironic, right, ironic.

  371. We're talking about how people are influenced by saying no. Just to clarify,

  372. remember I started fear fully, wonderfully made in God's image. We are flowing

  373. the direction. Okay, and then what happened later on? Okay, let's

  374. read. So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food.

  375. Actually, last time she never see you know, well, suddenly now she

  376. see her right, suddenly see the back, ye want to go? Suddenly

  377. see god sail. It was pleasant. It was pleasant to the eyes.

  378. So how do we sin? First the eyes? That's how it starts with

  379. the eyes. What you see is very powerful, friends, what you see

  380. is very powerful. I hope you're saying the right thing. Oh my goodness,

  381. I'm not even halfway. It was pleasant to the eyes and a tree

  382. desirable to make one wise. See, she wanted to be wise, but

  383. couldn't she ask God for the wisdom. Why must she think she needs to

  384. do it herself? Right, she took of his fruit and ate, and

  385. guys, you're not off the hook. She also gave it to her husband

  386. with her and he ate. During this whole exchange, the man was there

  387. and quiet. He didn't say anything. He just listened, and he just

  388. followed. That was irresponsible. God gave men dominion. God gave men clear

  389. instructions. Why didn't Adam follow true? Guys, I'm speaking to you as

  390. your pastor and as a man. Follow true. It will be difficult.

  391. There will be wise words from cunning people. Are you going to follow true?

  392. I'm not saying fight with your wifeer, I'm saying be clear, be

  393. very clear on what you need to do and what you need to protect.

  394. Adam didn't protect. If Adam didn't do that, Adam also want to know

  395. what happened he didn't take responsibility, and that's one of the biggest things that's

  396. happening. Men, you need to take responsibility of your family, of your

  397. life, because when you can take responsibility of that, your wife your love

  398. funds will follow. Don't give your responsibility of faith to your wife. You

  399. take it up. We need more men. You know the devil knows this

  400. because how do you mess with an me? You whack the leader first.

  401. How do you mess with families? You whack the head of the family first.

  402. This is why I fight so hard for my family. This is why

  403. certain things in my life is a non negotiable, because I want to fight

  404. for my family. Men, you need to stop up. We need more

  405. men. Why just a lot of ladies are cause the man is watching at

  406. the side. This is from Adam's time. No, the man need to

  407. rise up. Guys, the man need to rise up. We need to

  408. speak truth. We need to speak if something is wrong, We need to

  409. speak up. Don't let go of your responsibility. Amen. Sorry, a

  410. bit of segway to there. Then the eyes of both of them were opened,

  411. and they knew that they were naked, and they sued fig trees together

  412. and made themselves covering, and they heard the sound of the Lord God walking

  413. in the garden in the cool of the day. And Adam and his wife

  414. hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees and the garden.

  415. Then the Lord called to Adam and said to him where are you?

  416. Don't you think that God knows where Adam is? Is God, he knows

  417. everything. Why did he ask Adam where are you? He's giving Adam a

  418. chance to own up. Where are you? He said? I heard your

  419. voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked and hit

  420. myself. You mean, before this, when God created you and you had

  421. no concept of clothes, you were not afraid. What happened? And he

  422. said, God said, who told you that you were naked? Have you

  423. eaten from the tree of which I commanded you you should not eat? And

  424. then the man said, the woman you gave to be with me, she

  425. gave me off the tree, and I ate, Wow, guys, so

  426. manly, you didn't take up responsibility, you had dominion. You didn't do

  427. anything. When you have found out, you blame someone else. The woman

  428. gave it to me, so I ate it. It's her fault. God,

  429. I didn't want to do one. It's their fault. And then what

  430. happened, And the Lord God said to the Roman, what is it that

  431. you have done? The woman said, the serpent deceived me and I ate.

  432. So it's a blame Gamela. I blame you, you blame her,

  433. We blame everyone. So the serpent was cunning. I need to fast forward

  434. a little bit more, you guys. Okay, so I mentioned just now

  435. the serpent told if a half truth, if was already made in the image

  436. of God, she didn't need to be like God. She's already like God.

  437. Right. So the reality, friends, is that you know, some

  438. nice we come to this space where why you also dumb one? Whit far

  439. for this? Huh? It's not about the dumb scaminal it is about the

  440. half truth. What do I mean by that? If something is fully lie,

  441. you guys are smarting. All of us are smart enough to say it's

  442. a lie, okay, But most of the time it is not the full

  443. lie that we hear. It is a half truth of a half lie.

  444. There's a portion of it that's true, and there's a portion of it that's

  445. deception. And that's how we fall. Not not to say we you know,

  446. like I said, I can fall for things like that as well.

  447. Okay, I'm not just saying that all of us here, I'm just saying

  448. that that's what happens. It is a half truth and a half lie.

  449. That's what happens, right, And we've got to be careful with that.

  450. Right. She didn't need to be like God. We won't be influenced with

  451. total lines, but we can be deceived by half truth and half lives.

  452. All it takes is a seat of doubt. And that's what happened to.

  453. If the thought of God hiding something from us, how many of us have

  454. had that feeling before. Something is being hit from us. Our parents are

  455. hiding something from us, Our leaders are hiding something from us, our bosses

  456. are hiding something from us. God is hiding something from me. And because

  457. of that, I need to find my own way to do my own thing

  458. right. For more, all these people are short changing me, So I

  459. need to take care of myself. Friends, that is a lie. Don't

  460. believe in that line. There are a lot of people that care for you.

  461. Yes, maybe the matters are wrong, Yes, maybe sometimes we come

  462. to a place where we hurt each other, but be very careful. Amen.

  463. Adam was with Eve all along and he knew it was wrong, and

  464. yet he did nothing. But when with the flow? Are we going to

  465. the floor? Are we observing evil and just going with the flow because of

  466. our friends and loved ones? Or are we speaking up? Let's go with

  467. the flow, guys. I don't want to mess with things. I just

  468. want to chill. That's what happened. Okay. Again, now I'm not

  469. pointing think, I'm just saying, this is what happened. We got to

  470. learn from this, okay. And sadly Adam didn't come clean. But he

  471. blamed Eve. Wow, he blamed Ef. He didn't take responsibility although he

  472. was given by he was given dominion by God. God give him dominion.

  473. Now, how corrupted things have been just because of one instant it messed up.

  474. He just went downhill and we're dealing with it today. We're still dealing

  475. with it. Friends, But thank God we have Jesus. Amen. Let's

  476. see. So I mentioned just now in Genesis two twenty five days, and

  477. they were both naked, the men and the wife, and were not a

  478. shame. You see before that they were not ashamed. Why suddenly they were

  479. a shamed it's not because of just the fruit. No, it was because

  480. shame has come before that. They never knew shame, Malula. They never

  481. knew it, they never understood it. They never knew it. And shame

  482. can cause us to not be truthful on us. Let's not tell anybody.

  483. Yeah, let's keep it to ourself phone. I can be honest with you.

  484. That's how my life was worse before we came to a place where God

  485. said, tell the church about your condition, tell the church about your son,

  486. because God's going to change something that's shameful into something that's wonderful. We

  487. recently is a April's Autism awarenessman. So we released some videos which some and

  488. again I'm not doing it to make myself famous. I guys, can I

  489. tell you this. I don't want to be famous, that's not the intention.

  490. But a lot of different ones have seen the first time we shed and

  491. we were raising funds for the Blue Room and it was just a two minute

  492. clip, you know. And then we also have a Blue Room manager,

  493. which keep bugging me, I mean, can you be share a story?

  494. Can we share a story? I'm like, yeah, we recorded something,

  495. can you please? I'm like, okay, you know what let's just do

  496. something and let's just get it done. You know, it's my own face,

  497. so it's where I have to edit. So I ask someone to help

  498. me. And we just released it. And as we were thinking about the

  499. title, uh, we just play our words, we name or more like,

  500. it came to the point where I named the story from denial to destiny.

  501. Friends, only God can change something that's horrible into something beautiful. But

  502. we have to overcome the shame first. God cannot turn things around if we

  503. are still shameful and hiding from him. No, we got to step up.

  504. We got to say, sin, you have no power in my life

  505. anymore. Shame came. Shame causes us to hide. Shame causes us to

  506. hide our sin, and that's dangerous. We nurture it like a pet.

  507. Don't nurture it anymore. Come cleaning to Christ. I'm not saying you must

  508. stand here and give that stame money and everybody you are problem. No,

  509. No, that's what I'm saying. Okay, I'm saying, don't hide it

  510. anymore. Don't be shameful anymore. There's no shame here. We can be

  511. open with the Lord. James one, thirteen fifteen says, let no one

  512. say when he's tempted, I'm tempted by God. For God cannot be tempted

  513. by evil, nor does he himself tempt anyone. But each one is tempted

  514. when he is drawn away by his own desires and entires. You see,

  515. we are drawn away by our own desires and entices. This is why the

  516. Bible says our heart is receiving. Can I be honest with you? I

  517. don't trust myself. That's why I need leaders around me. That's why I

  518. need my wife. That's why I check people. I don't trust myself.

  519. Huh, how can you not trust yourself? By elving? Can? That's

  520. why I reland the Holy Spirit. That's why I pray before I have any

  521. conversation with people. I said, Lord, please help me, because I'm

  522. full of flesh. I won't be so quick to say, oh, you

  523. know, listen to me. I have no no, no, I don't

  524. trust myself. You do not want to be tempted? Right when desire has

  525. conceived, it gives birth to sin, and sin when it's full grown,

  526. brings for death. So friends, can I can I caution you on a

  527. few things. Beware of who you hang out with. Beware of who you

  528. listen to, because who you hang out with and who you listen to will

  529. influences you, and it's very dangerous. First Quarentians fifteen thirty three says,

  530. do not be deceived. Evil company corrupts good habits. It does. I'm

  531. just sharing this view so that you can make your own decisions. And sometimes

  532. when we have to set ourselves apart from some of our friends, some of

  533. the people around us, it's painful. Can I can? I can?

  534. Can We be honest about that. It is painful, But you have to

  535. understand that sometimes it is not healthy for you to continue in this direction because

  536. eventually it will lead to death. Let me give you some examples, just

  537. to make things a bit clearer. How are we conducting ourselves if we are

  538. in a place or an environment that we become start becoming because you see,

  539. after a while, your lingo would change your act it, you would change

  540. different, things would change one okay, and if you start looking more and

  541. more, we won't use it either, because even very strong. But maybe

  542. you start being more doubtful, Maybe you start being bolder in the way you

  543. criticize people. Maybe you start being okay with different things. Then you got

  544. to watch yourself. I'm sharing this you not to. I'm sharing this to

  545. give you awareness who you hang out with, what you're talking. You know,

  546. are you more critical about our country or are you living our country more?

  547. Again, Cary, you're not perfect her guys, don't get me wrong.

  548. Are you following what the Bible is saying more? Or are you becoming

  549. more? You know? Are we becoming more critical? Are we becoming more

  550. when people hang outs they don't like hang out with us? You know?

  551. Are we praying more for people and giving peace in the situation being peace make

  552. us? Or are we creating trouble? Oh? You know, I need

  553. to create trouble. I need to say this person is bad, and you

  554. say the pass is bad. I need nobody needs you to defend. We

  555. just read in the Bible. Don't go and go around taking revenge. Let

  556. God handle it. It's God's war, not yours. We just behave like

  557. Christians. We just love people. We just say ouch, or you hit

  558. me on the left, let me give you my right chick to hit.

  559. We just love our enemies and bless them. We do not protect evil,

  560. but we overcome evil with good. So reflect on our own lives. It's

  561. very difficult to point fingers here, So I'm not pointing any fingers. I

  562. pointing fingers at myself. I checked with myself Lord and becoming more evil?

  563. Or am I doing more good? We can only evaluate ourselves friends, right,

  564. and at the end of the day, we need to take an account

  565. with God because what we saw is what we read. What we saw is

  566. what we read. Whether you like what I'm sharing if you or not,

  567. is the truth. I'm not saying here anyone here is bad. You are

  568. all awesome. You're all fearfully and wonderfully made. You're all made in the

  569. image of God. But they are influencers in our lives that can mess with

  570. us. They're influence in our life that unknowingly we have subscribed to that has

  571. caused us to walk down this path that is not good, and we've got

  572. to be aware about it. What is the perspective we have over the house

  573. of God? Oh, you know, I don't trust bustards because I was

  574. burnt once. Busters are men. You know, after a while, it

  575. will start coming out to other things. Though, why do God put leaders

  576. there? Okay, I use past this example. We understand that, But

  577. why do God put people in our lives? We got to take account with

  578. God. Romans two six. It says, who will render to each other

  579. according to His deeds eternal life to those who, by patient continuance in doing

  580. good sick for glory, honor and immortality. But to those who are self

  581. seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness indignation. Wrap Can

  582. I share with you my my approach Personally? I can't really point finger people,

  583. but I can be faithful. I cannot pointing gut my leaders and say

  584. why do you do these? Why do that? God will do with them?

  585. But I just be faithful, and as long as the Lord plays me

  586. here, I will be faithful. Okay. People might say that as foolish

  587. as why you so dumb? No, I have benefited from the faithfulness because

  588. I'm not obeying men. I'm obeying God. God asked me to obey.

  589. I obe la. Right, I don't draw that line. Oh, only

  590. God can speak to me. No anybody can speak to me because anybody that

  591. God put in my life, of course, I have to recognize not anybody

  592. lie. You get what I mean? Right? There are ways to determine

  593. whether or not it's from the Lord or not. But I recognize that God

  594. uses people. Okay, So, friends, I share a lot of these

  595. things with you, but let me give you some handles today it can Okay,

  596. how do we keep ourselves pure and not be evil? Not to say

  597. you are. I'm talking about the influences. Okay. First point, First

  598. point, fear the Lord. Fear is not a bad thing. Let me

  599. tell you my kids they're afraid of me, and that's why every night I

  600. put them to bed. They sleep at nine o'clock. But if I don't

  601. put them to bed, they don't sleep at nine o'clock. Who suffers?

  602. They suffer? Next day I suffer. So fear it's not a bad thing.

  603. It's not if we place God, not manner God. If we place

  604. God and consider God in our actions, I think we will make different decisions.

  605. Right so God, fear of the Lord is good. It's not a

  606. bad thing. The Bible says the fear of the Lord is the beginning wisdom.

  607. You want to be wise? Fear God? What does that mean?

  608. Ask him? Now? Don't do things yourself? Lord? Lord? Should

  609. I do this? Don't? Should I do that? Lord? What do

  610. you think? Fear him? First? And the more we ask him,

  611. the more we will be in tune with how he leads us. Proverbs three

  612. seven says, do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord,

  613. and depart from evil. That's I I say. I don't trust myself.

  614. I'm not going to tell you all. No, no, no,

  615. I trust God more than myself, okay. Probably fifteen eight three says the

  616. eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping much on the evil and

  617. the good. Quite scary, right. Means that if you're bathing a God's

  618. eyes on you, no matter what you do, God's eyes on you,

  619. we cannot run away. Last time, I used to think when I was

  620. younger, when I'm sinning, God doesn't know. God knows no, no,

  621. no. By hiding behind this roma, nobody sees my wife not around,

  622. nobody says no. God sees everything. Quite scarier. He sees everything.

  623. He sees the good, he sees the bad. So even if you're

  624. doing good things in the secret, he sees. That's the wonderful thing about

  625. God. He sees. He sees every good you've done in the secret and

  626. in public. He at the same time he sees every bad you've done in

  627. public and in the secret. That's why we gotta fear him, okay.

  628. Second point, depart from evil, run far, far away sum Staday seven

  629. twenty seven says, depart from evil and do good and dwell for them.

  630. Are you know there's something about temptation that I've learned and we can learn from

  631. the life of Joseph and also the prayer the Bible asks us to flee from

  632. temptation, not resist it. Why because you will lose. You will lose

  633. to temptation. Now, guys, so you have to run far away?

  634. Can you run far away if you're tempted? If you are in a situation

  635. where attempted, will you just try and read no, no, I can't

  636. take it? Or will run run? Now? It's okay to run one,

  637. it's okay to run so evil, it's the same thing. Depart from

  638. it and do good and dwell forever more. Third point, keep doing good,

  639. because we've got to over come evil with good four to fourteen says depart

  640. from evil and do good. Seek peace and pursue it. Peace is not

  641. just for ourself, peace for others as well. We talk about God's peace

  642. right, and I think I've shared before that one of the ways where I

  643. determine. One of the ways that is good to determine about whether we should

  644. do something or not is to have peace. So that's good. But let

  645. me extend that further a little bit. Do you know that Jesus, the

  646. Prince of Peace is called to come to bring peace to this earth? Do

  647. you know that all of you here are peace makers? So let me give

  648. you this other thought. Okay, when you come into a situation that has

  649. high conflict, do you bring peace into the situation or you make it worse?

  650. Something to think about, do we bring peace in the situation? Peace

  651. is not pleasing people are don't get it wrong now right, but we got

  652. to bring peace to the situation, right well, Pacelvin. I don't understand

  653. how do I do good? I don't know how to do good. You

  654. talk about a lot of things, but that's doing good means getting you know,

  655. helping the old lady across the street. Use this example. But I

  656. do not have many olady cross the street, So I'm not doing good.

  657. Friends. Evil is self serving good, he's serving others. Okay. The

  658. Bible God teaches us to serve others. Where do we find it? Love

  659. the Lord your God with all your heart, your soul, your mind,

  660. and love your neighbor as yourself. On all the laws of the prophets hang

  661. these two commandments. You'll see the connection. God knows that we can succumb

  662. to evil, so he teaches us to love him and fear him first,

  663. and to love others, not our self, as others, because by that

  664. we will be doing good and not evil. It's very hard to do evil

  665. when you're thinking about someone else. It's very hard to be evil to someone

  666. when you're thinking about how can I bless this personal? A bit hard?

  667. How can I know? But when we're thinking about our self, naturally we

  668. can steer through. Not to say you're evil, but again I mean steer

  669. to being a little bit more self serving. No, it's about me.

  670. I don't care about the people. I need to get myself first. You

  671. know, you want to do good. Serve others a bit hot. If

  672. you're the type person that's serf others all the time, you know, it's

  673. a bit hard to be evil. Okay, I'm always simplifying some of these

  674. things. If any of you here, and I'll clarify with this, if

  675. any of you here have applied this and you still feel troubled like Paselwen.

  676. I used to serve people, but yeah, I get hurt. Paselwen,

  677. I used to do these things by her. That's I Now I don't do

  678. it anymore. Friends, let's go deeper. We can go deeper to talk

  679. about wisdom, to talk about you know, how to say, being close

  680. to God. Because at the end of the day, you can serve people,

  681. but people still have the influence of you and their lives, so they'll

  682. still mess with you. I'm talking about us first. What is our response

  683. first? Not other people's response. I cannot control what other people do.

  684. I cannot control how other people treat me, but I can control how I

  685. treat other people. Amen, Can I give you one more last thing that

  686. will help us? What can wash away mine sin? Nothing but the blood

  687. of Geesus. What can make me whole again? Nothing but the blood of

  688. Geesus? Oh pressure, says the flow that makes me? Why as no

  689. no are the found? I know nothing but the blood of Jeeesus. The

  690. blood of Christ washes us clean. So I share a lot of things to

  691. you, right, but you want to know the good news. With Christ,

  692. we can do all things. With Christ, we wash clean? Right

  693. and that is how God cleanses us. We are made whole, We are

  694. fearfully and wonderfully made. All these things happen, but God gave us Christ

  695. so that we can be washed clean. That is why you follow Christ.

  696. Amazing right, amazing, right, so amazing. The blood of Jesus washes

  697. us clean with what repentance and the remission of our sins. First John one

  698. seven says, but if we want in the light, this is conditional.

  699. But if we okay, but if we want in the light as he is

  700. in the light, sounds like a song. I know we have fellowship with

  701. one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his son, cleanses us

  702. from all sin. But if we want in the light as he is in

  703. the light, we will have fellowship. I understand that after this all of

  704. us are going to go home. We're going to be in our own lives.

  705. We're going to be facing the same boss that passe Evinger said, he's

  706. fearfully and wonderfully made by God. We're all going to face the same situation

  707. where we're frustrated. It's painful. Maybe you've been trying all this world to

  708. be a good person. All of us want to be right. And the

  709. problem is sometimes that when we be good to others, we expect them to

  710. be good back to us. You're saying what you say is what you really

  711. I'd be good people, they should be good to me. What. Well,

  712. maybe in the fellowship believers, because all of us understand the same thing.

  713. We can even here also not always are perfect. But then you're going

  714. out there to the world that's broken, to the world that's corrupted. By

  715. saying to the world that don't know who Jesus is, that's the reality.

  716. You're gonna get hurt, it's gonna be tough. You're stuck in the rock

  717. in a hard place. Come to church past us, say be good,

  718. go out there. I'd be good, but nobody's good to me. This

  719. is why Christ is so important for us, because he's the one that gives

  720. us life. He's the one that helps us when we are out there and

  721. we're facing it. We're not doing it alone. Friends, we are walking

  722. with Jesus. We are working with Christ. We can smart the storm because

  723. we know where our foundation is. You can look at your boss, look

  724. at the people, look at the situation that you're in, and when you

  725. reflect that, you know what. Yes, it's tough, it's hard,

  726. But Lord, I am so thankful because you wash my sins away and you've

  727. made me clean. I've been so evil by thinking such things about my brother,

  728. but my sister, about my boss. But you wash me clean.

  729. Holy Spirit, you cleanse me. I am broken, I am dirty,

  730. I am evil, But Jesus you wash me clean. Jesus, by your

  731. blood, you cleansed us. And because of your blood, I can live.

  732. Because of your blood, I can call upon you. Because of your

  733. blood, I can be a good person because no matter what the world chows

  734. at me, no matter what people try me, I can look at them

  735. with eyes of Loveman, say, you are wonderfully and fearfully made by God,

  736. and I can love you the way I love you, even though you're

  737. evil to me. And that is the power of Christ. That is the

  738. power we all have. So as we understand this, we need to understand

  739. where do we call our strength upon? Not ourselves but Christ. I pray

  740. your blessed by the One. Amen. We hope you've been blessed by this

  741. message. For more information on our church, please visit as Church Org.
