of David. David. Last I was here, I spoke about David and

the challenges that David went and today I want to speak about David and the

test that David has to go to. So you know when I talk about

David. Two things you know about David. Very familiar scripture is this that

David is a man after God's own heart. Right, very very famous description

of David, a man after God's own heart. There is a man who

really wants to please the Lord in all that he does, just like all

of us here really want to please the Lord, really want to do what

God wants here on earth. Uh. Right after that declaration, right after

that, the word was a revelation to Prophet Samuel. The next chapter is

go live, Golive. I'm not sure how many understand that. You know.

There's one thing that you know when we want to plase God with all

that will do the next chapter, the next phase of your life, you

meet a go life, right, Golve. Now, first, go life

is not the man of your dreams, not man that you want to go

and there is a man that actually is coming after your life. Here's a

man that really the Bible described it as a giant. And that's why the

world described things that's really impossible, things that's really too big as golive and

us here were caught in a particular challenge as well. The first test I

truly believe that David has to go to is this is to believe. It's

a test whether to believe that God is still in control or not. No

longer the life is in the picture. Nobody around David. But the test

of David's heart is to believe whether God is still in control. Could you

imagine right now, right every day you're marching towards a dadline. Every day

you're marching towards fighting your own brothers and sisters. Every day you're marching.

Every day you're taking one step. Every step could behavior and the step before,

because the day will come whereby you have to fight against your own brothers

and sisters. Now, if you were walking in the flesh. You go

that finally I can get my wrench. Come on right now, Finally,

this is my moment, my time, the shine, this is my moment.

of whether you believe God's in control or not. That's why I truly believe,

friends, that church planting is so key, or wather homeless planting is

so key? Is because many times right not? Can I honestly share with

you right Sometimes I talked about it away at this facility that we have over

here at XTPG is too comfortable. It's really too comfortable. Yes, we

enjoy the air, cont we enjoy the environment, We enjoy everything is here.

But sometimes really it's just too comfortable. Because you know why, it's

because friends, that we haven't really seen people coming in a way we wanted

to see, mainly to say that every person that's that's in a situation who

needs Jesus has to be here. Sometimes we become very comfortable because the things

dependent on God, you're dependent on God one day? What happens is that

He behaved wisely. He did not kick a fast you know, the complaint,

He did not make comparison and stuff like that. He knows. David

knows that ultimately God is to you in control and therefore you and I need

to take this encouragement. I want to encourage you the next time you're in

this pressure, learn how to behave wisely. I was in my devotion past

couple of this. I was reading the Galicians, and Galicious say that if

you walk in the spirit, if you live in the spirit, therefore you

walk in the spirit. If you live in the spirit, therefore you walk

in the spirit. And I'm not talking about alcohol here, so we will

say that you know that, yes, I've been living in the spirit.

I got a few no nos that, but no, I'm not here to

talk about that. I'm just saying. Number one is that if you if

you live in the spirit, just basically being aware God the spirit. Awareness,

walking meets action. A lot of times, a lot of people are

aware, but there is no action. Think about it. A lot of

people are aware of God's present, but there is no action, no part.

We sang the song just now, I'll make room for you. It's

very scary to sing a song or make room for you when God says I'll

occupy the room and we sok, God, thank you so much, I

lock you in. It's very it's very scary to sing a song or make

room for you shake up the wars of my religion and to something like that,

and well, it's a nice tune and nice song, but implication and

sometimes it's the song that moves our hearts to repentance rerather than God's words.

And the danger sometimes could be is that we're very songs dependent and scripture dependent,

and that's wh when pressure comes along our way. Yes, songs reminds

us of the goodness of God, but scripture reminds us that God never changes.

Caesars may change, but God never changes. So the test of God's

in control really reveals what's in our hearts. Come on, every test is

there given by God to reveal, not to feel us to reveal. Friends,

you and I need some revelation in our hearts. Where are we right

now? I think the question I've been telling everyone is that that when when

was the last time we went for that to check out? Then to check

out? Just because we could still function right, can still eat? Everything

is working fine that we do. We've been brushing our teeth morning and evening,

something in between meals. So have you ready? Deligion, you're flossing

I wanted to play. I wanted to play. I just see it.

What's a reaction like? But sometimes it's true that I mean besides money,

friends, But the real challenges is that when you asked to patch up a

cavity, you and I know that the doctor cannot just patch up a cavity.

He has to removed impurity first, He has to make room for there

to be filled up. The last time, when the dentist puts the instrument

into our mouth, dreading happens. I don't know how many tears in yours

Remember that I felt like one day I was like, I'll try on

you next time, all right? But friends, behave wisely? They did

behave wisely. A test is there to show whether we are behaving wisely or

not. A test is there to show whether or not our faith is in

God or in Man. A test is there to reveal what's in our hearts.

Right without going into the test, we'll never know. Just become because

the Holy Spirit touching your heart. Yes, you felt the move of the

spirit. Doesn't mean friends, our heart is in the right place. That's

why God will always bring to the test to reveal what's in our hearts.

What's in our hearts, the test of really to know whether God's in control

or not. I pray that today that you allow God to bring you to

this journey. Right, So, let me just read to you. There

is a man after God's own heart. You know that scripture. Now look

chapter two, verse fifty two. This is how this Jesus. Look two

wards fifty two says that Jesus increase in wisdom, stature in favor of God

with men. This is Jesus. The Bible says, increase in wisdom.

Come on, increase in wisdom, Christian. I want to encourage you or

to increase in your wisdom. Very important. Friends, Yes, I know

you increase your awareness how to use social media, priests or highly you are

right, good for you, all right, But also I want to encourage

you to make room to grow in wisdom. Some of us here now.

First, I'm not asking you to read more textbooks, more more management mood

self help books. Those are good stuff. But friends, the Bible says

that the free of the Law is beginning of wisdom. Come on, the

fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Probably what we're selling.

The fear of the Law is the beginning of knowledge, wisdom, the fear

of the Lord, friends, that's where it needs to guide our hearts.

This is why I truly believe that David actually did not fight we want to

fight the army of his jail because he feared a lot more than anything else.

He feared a lot more than anything else. Sometimes in our journey,

friends, I really wonder who do we fear? Who do we fear?

I think in our journey sometimes we can actually forget there is the Lord.

I want to encourage you belie today this morning, right, Jesus, increase

in wisdom, you and I so much more. We need to increase in

wisdom, you and I so much more. We need to open God's word

and say, Lord, help me to understand. I pray that you know

in our journey of life and we need God's wisdom in everything that we do.

You get pressured on every situation to knowing whether God's in control or not.

The only way to bathe wisely is to trust the Lord. The only

way to bath wisely is to know God's word. Right, Here's the thing.

David was pressured. David was pressured, but he did not allow his

flesh to dictate his response. Think about it for a moment. Have we

ever allowed of flashes? They take the response or not, And when the

flash sticks over, we normally do not like the result one. Come on,

when the fleash tick over, we always regret with the result one when

the flesh stick over. Yes, at the very moment, you felt justified,

vindicated everything. When the emotions get settled down, our friends, normally,

normally we don't enjoy. And that's why God is encouraging us in relations

of something? Can we handed the rejection and something? The tests? Whether

So David went back. Okay, this first test. Okay, you think

that David, after David passed this test, will go back. Okay,

hallelujah, No more test. Right, just like our normal college exam.

After one one exam, you don't get the exam the very next chapter.

healing. To an individual, there is no rest. David experienced the same

thing. First seven, Chapter thirty said that happened verse one. David and

In other words, every wife and every children were taken away. You're

David did not say that. Friends, They say, oh, finally

in our lives, friends, your fruitfulness is taken away and your fure and

there's no more future. The second test that Davy has to go to.

more test to your But I truly believe the second that test that Davy has

to go to was this the test of losing everything everything First, his hometown

wasn't on fire. On fire is one thing. By your family and your

wife and children are safe, you can rebuild. It's only material things to

me can rebuild. But once materiit thing is gone, your wife and your

support, your the pot system is longer there. I'm not sure is that

so easy to rebuild or not. The Bible says that even David's very old

man wants to stone him, come on, wants to take David's life.

At that very moment, David felt so alone. Come on, have you

been a place whereby in the midst of the testing is you just felt that

nobody could understand. And you're just like David like that, even the closest

closer to say, it's your fault. It is your fault, it is

your fault. I'm where I am today because of you. If I didn't

follow you to join you in this army to go fight against is your I

wouldn't experience my loss my wife and my children still with me. I still

have a place to stay. But because I follow you, because I take

up church leadership, my schedules is all past. My what sappe was now

But David strengthened himself in the Lord. And I was reading this,

I asked the Lord, Lord, I just wish you could just expand how

he strengthened. Give us some steps, because you're not as wise as David.

Just one line. David strengthened himself in the Lord. That's it.

He moves on really after he found strength. That's it. I wish it's

that simple. No, friends. You know what I mean. Sometimes in

the situation, in the midst of that, there's people around you want to

stone you, right, friends, and uh, why would you no more?
